elouise absolutely loves vanilla baby yoghurt. she'll only eat a third of a tub at a time, which is ok. she loves pumpkin, sweet potato, and carrots. her reflux is almost gone! i'm sure the homeopathic medicines are the reason and not coincidence, coz it got really bad. things are great. she's doing ok with the teething, hope that she gets teeth soon. i made my first batch of baby food: zucchini, carrot and sweet potato. she loved it. on the plus side, it tastes a lot better than jar food. i don't use thickeners. only veg and a little water. so what she doesn't finish, i eat lol. no crawling yet, tummy pushes backward though.
that's funny, impatient re: the dog. yucky, yet funny.

Hi Girls!
Good to hear Jem and Bella had fun together, they both sound (and look) really cute. I love watching Lieby check out the girls, he is a LOT less interested in little boys - to the point that he'll ignore the boys completely but try to hold hands with the girls. I'm raising a flirt here all right. BTW, I love Bella's "mad scientist" look on one of those pics, with the right photoshopping on the background that could be a poster image!
I'm getting a bit sick of DS's appitite, I'm sure he eats too much at dinnertime. I like to eat dinner too! He's good with finger foods and using a spoon himself, but I won't let him refill the spoon so we have complaints about that one.
Right, he's whinging so best be off, hi to everyone I've missed (most of you!).

Kym
Hi all,
I was wondering if you guys have room for another on this thread? I have only recently found and joined BB.
My DD was born 14-2-07. (after 21 hrs in labour, I really tried to deliver on the 13th, but it wasn't to be!!! took 2hrs to push her out and she arrived at 1am! Oh well, we never really like Valentine's Day anyway and now we have a great excuse to ignore it!)
I don't want to sound rude, but I prefer to keep her anonymous (I mentioned on an intro thread that I have some weird relatives and don't like the idea of them googling her name!!).
Do you guys have a regular time each week that you get together to chat live, or do you jump on and chat whenever???
It sounds like we are going thru lots of the same things as you would expect.... solids, car seat turning decisions, teeth and sleeping (or NOT sleeping as the case may be!).
I have been a little disillusioned with my mothers group - lots of nice people, but generally doing things quite differently to us, so I searched for a while before finding BB.
I'm also incredibly IT challenged, so my posts will probably look incredibly boring!
Cheers, Kym

Hiya Kim... welcome
I don't know about the other girls... but I basically just get on here whenever I can. Harrison usually has a sleep at 11am for 1-1.5 hrs... so thats when I am usually on here.
It is understandable not wanting to use your daughters real name on here... I get what you mean with people googling her. Perhaps you should just call her by a nickname? Like Ryn does with her son... she calls her son Liebling.
Nice having you here Kym :)

Hi Kym,
Welcome :) We have plenty of room in here for another mum.
We don't schedule a regular chat time, but that is a GREAT idea!!!!!

Thanks Lisa and Kirsten.
I like the nickname idea, Lisa. So many to choose from..... I call her all sorts of names (all good of course!!) I think I'll settle on Monkey - DH is a big Monkey Magic fan, so he'll like that!
I have a dumb question.... (I think Kelly Z is already sick of my dumb questions....!)
How do I become a BB member, not just a registered user???

Welcome Kim.
I understand the googling thing. It's so weird that these days we're all googling exes and people we know. I haven't done it, mainly coz I just ask people what I want to know. But it can be a laugh, I guess. My mum gets pretty nosy. I had an online journal that I wanted to be completely honest but mum found out about it and I have to omit heaps and tiptoe around things. I eventually just stopped posting. There's a BB member who I thought was the daughter of my mum's neighbour. Turns out that her name was a screen name so her husband won't get cranky at her for saying family stuff. So aliases can be good. Enough babbling.
Elouise's reflux has activated again. We had a big vomit mid-morning, which was bad but it was ok. But last night she threw up her top-up and almost all of her previous feed, two hours earlier. It was all over me and her and the floor. EVERYWHERE! So we're off to the paed again. I really thought the homeopathic medicines were helping. They appeared to, until a few days ago. She didn't even cry when she threw up her entire stomach contents. But I did. I was covered in vomit and getting upset, coz HUUUUGE vomits are not good. DP was asking me how he can help, I told him to just take her and I went to clean everything up and change out of my wet clothes. It scares the hell outta me when she throws up like this. I'm going to go on the reflux threads and ask them stuff.
On a lighter note, she's attempting crawling position. Up on hands and knees, and back onto tummy. Soon she'll do the weird rocking thing then start crawling. I just look round the house and go oh god, she'll make one huge mess and hurt herself. Gotta baby-proof. I hate that.

time for a new thread everyone!
