ash - poor alexander! pee pooling in his ear! PMSL on the fireman suit.
no, you can still get pregnant even when bf, only thing is that AF doesnt arrive.
katkins - oohh, i dont suppose you want to be pg again.. maybe it's not implantation.. just some light spotting...
-
prama, I would love it. Hard as it would be. But now is not the best time. I swear if I am, I'd have to be the most fertile woman in the world and I have NFI what contraception I can use then! hehehe
-
Wow Kat!!!! I cant decide if you are crazy or not...lol..
Ash, great to hear that the christening went well and that bubs slept right through it!!
Carley, sorry to hear about the rough time you have been having lately! I hope that things get better for you and Lysander soon! What symptoms did he have for the silent refux?
Not much to report here, got my baby bjorn yesterday and tried it out at work and down at the shops, I love it! So comfy!! I think Noah likes it too, I didnt hear much complaining! :D
-
flow increased now so yay. Period, again hehehe
-
Hi Everyone,
Carley -- I am so sorry Lysander is not well, you poor things. I wish I could come and give you some time out. Hang in there hopefully the medication will make a huge difference soon. Thinking of you LOL
Katkins -- Yay its your period!!!! LOL (sorry if you are sad) but thats a little too close together!!
Ash -- glad the christening went well. With your pain does it hurt like burn when you pee? or is it a more constant pain? Sorry -- I am a nurse and I have been fighting the urge to assess people on the internet. Tell me to butt out if you want!!
Not much to report here -- feeding, pooing, nappy changing, crying and little bits of sleep for everyone except for me during the day! I am so anti social as soon as the boys are in bed at 8.30 and if DS is asleep I am in bed. My poor DH -- we won't be getting pregnant anytime soon he he
Have a good day guys
Sue

carley - bug hugs, hun... so sorry.. will Lysander get better as time goes by?
katkins - are you relieved?
-
prama, Yes, relieved, but also disappointed. I know it would have been impossible and just sooo hard, but to me all babies are gifts and worth every second...
-
Hi guys!
Katkins - thank goodness you aren't pg again. Now that would be hard work! I am so annoyed as my AF seems to have come back already! I am exclusively BFing and had assumed it wouldn't come back for a few months! Talk about unlucky!!
minky - I love baby bjorns!!
Ash - glad to hear the christening went well. I need to organise DD's sometime...
Carley - so sorry to hear about DS having silent reflux, that sounds terrible, you poor thing. I hope it starts to get better on the medication.
kirsten - DTD is the last thing on my mind too right now! Shame DH doesn't feel the same way...
jen - sorry to hear that DD still doesn't like to sleep during the day, it must be so hard to get anything done! I am finding it really difficult because DD will only sleep during the day if she is being held, and am hoping to break that habit before too long, although am not having any luck so far!
DD is a wriggle too. I wrap her sooo tight and she always manages to get an arm out somehow. We are now using a sleeping bag which is going well, at least she keeps warm when she has wriggled her way out of her covers!
Hi to everyone else, I hope you all had a great easter! I need to go and rescue DH from DD so no more time, but will try to get online again tomorrow!
-
Sueby - dont worry i dont mind!!! its like a pain in the bone/joints (however silly that sounds), not when i actually pee - just the position of it so to speak. I thought maybe it was somehow associated with my pelvic floor as well, but im struggling to figure out how to describe it to the doc for my appt next week. It's sort of where the bone joins in the centre of the bottom of the pelvis (at the front, maybe an inch below the 'hair line'?).
Its hard to explain and i think im literally going to have to grab my crotch to demonstrate to the doc.

Hi All,
Wow...so much happens in here in such a short time!
Katkins...you are a crazy woman!!! ha ha!!! the thought of being pregnant again so soon is horrifying to me!! Not likely here for a while yet....after my third degree tear we were given the "no sex" instruction for at least 6 weeks. I might have been inclined in the first few weeks cos i found the whole having a baby thing with the man i love very sexy, but now that the tiredness has kicked in, I am not so sure!! heh heh!
Zoe is doing ok. She had a horror of a day yesterday with no sleeping and lotsa crying and since then she has been feeding only for very short times (5-10mins) and then falling dead asleep! I have been a little worried about how little she is feeding, but then the last feed she had was ok. So maybe she has just been feeling a bit off colour perhaps???
Anyway...good to catch up on all your news. Keep at it!!
p.s. any ideas as to why i might be having trouble getting pictures to upload in here? i have tried a couple of times since Zoe was born and i get thru the whole process but once it's finished, the photos don't actually appear in my gallery! confused.

Hi everyone,
can anyone with a new second baby tell me how they organise their day as i'm finding it a struggle looking after a toddler (20 months) and a newborn. how are you supposed to be in 2 places at the same time?
How do you feed, bath, read story and put to bed a toddler at the same time as breastfeed a one month old who wants to cluster feed for 2 hours before crashing for the night?
With my DD1, i would be able to spot her hunger and tired signs before they became a cry and it's so much harder to be as attentive with DD2 when DD1 is climbing up anything and everything including climbing out of her cot!

Hi Roya,
My first two are 22months apart and from what I can remember I used to set the oldest one up with a little tray of snacks and a drink during the day while I was feeding, and had DVD's close at hand. Sometimes I read him a book while I was feeding. At night I was lucky enough to either have my DH or my Mum around so my oldest was occupied. It does get easier its just an asjustment. Hang in there
Sue:)

I am still reading girls, but am finding it impossible to find the time to post!!
just quickly -
Roya - I find it difficult with two as well, especially around the evening. Although my first is older than yours (which makes it easier for me), it still helps if I try to start on everything as early as I can, so I am not left with everything such as bathing, feeding, bed, all at once. I try to bath earlier, and cook earlier, which helps a bit some nights... although it still usually is always an ordeal!
Kerrie - OMG at the pg scare!!! Your experience is hitting home with me, because we DTD right on 6 weeks last weekend, and the thought of using protection didn't occur to either of us until afterwards... oooops. Ummm... does anyone know what day after O implantation occurs?
Carly - you poor things, I am so sorry you and Lysander are going through such a rough time. I hope you are able to find a method that brings both of you relief and comfort, and if you are required to FF, then you are able to shake the guilt, hold your head high, and know that you have done/are doing the best possible for your little guy. Thinking of you guys, hope you are doing better....
My little Eva is such a dear little thing. She's very good natured, doesn't cry much, although does get a bit whingey if we can't pick her up when she wants. She seems to be in a night time sleep routine atm which is great. She goes down at about 10pm, then will wake between 3.30 and 4.30am for a feed, then back to sleep until 7am or so... which I am finding quite easy to cope with, although I am still getting tired in the afternoons.
BF is 100% now, no more need to express at all, and I am confident in bringing only my bb's along to feed her! I have really conquered my bf in public fear... did it in the middle of Target on a seat in the shoe section last week LOL!
She is now 5.3kg at 7 weeks, which is exactly 1.5kg gain since birth.
I just can't believe how fast she is growing... everyone says she is so small, but to me she is huge now compared to 6 weeks ago!
Gonna go and lie down for 5 mins now before she wakes up...
-
Totally jibbed... AF has arrived and i say it's not fair (least i think it's AF, kerrie's got me worried now!!).
Ack, oh well.
Hope everyone is well - wishing you all sleepy baby vibes...
Alexander has been quite grizzly today - i think i ate too much garlic last night. That or he's just getting started on this six weeks terror i hear of!!
Not much else to report. We had our first trip to melbourne with him today which was two hours of p/t there and back so woo go us. And yesterday we got him to start playing the tongue poking game with us - he gets so excited by it!!
-
well my bleeding became very very very heavy and clotty (sorry tmi) and my midwife was worried about PPH. After 4 days of bleeding so heavy I flooded tampons and pads, it settled and now on day 6 is very light again. It seems my period has returned with a vengance. I did go to Dr to get the new Nova ring and about the bleeding but she forgot to give me the script as I almost passed out getting up after she examined me. I think my iron must be very low after all the bleeding etc. I was very tired and felt horrible for days. Not nice.
Ash, yeah some people (like me) don't get much of a break from AF. I think it used to be our bodies way of ensuring we could survive and care for ourselves and the new baby (that food and nutition went far enough). But with today's society of plenty of good food etc, our bodies can cope with BF'ing and being pg again so there is no need for our bodies to stop AF. Well that's the way I think of it anyway....
Amber, implantation is generally 5-10 days after O. Hope that helps. I hope u get the result u want honey *hugs*. I know part of me wanted to be pg, but I also could see how impossibly hard it would be...... But u never know how strong u are untill you are tested, right?!
-
Seems to make sense that with all that good nourshment etc that it wouldnt be a problem. Funny though as two days beforehand i was talking to mum & she was complaining, but she made it to three months at least! Well i am now not sure, it's very light, barely enough for a liner *confused*. Ive had cramps last night so i thought it would have come on already, but seeing as i thought there was no way i would have O'd we werent careful & im a bit worried, aaargh :(.
Im sure its af, i even have ridiculous mood swings... lol. but i cant help but worry none the less.
Amber - well done on the BFing in public!!! Im still taking baby steps and always have ebm on hand, lol.
-
have to admitt, I have been bf'ing in public since Bry was 2 wks old. I don't give a hoot. I cover myself with a muslin wrap and just do it. I did it in a chinese restaraunt, in the dr's and in the front seat of the car when Dh was away and I'd driven to pick up something for Dh, bry screamed the whole way, picked up the item and jumped into passenger seat and fed him. Thought stuff others, if they don't like it, they'd like a screaming baby even less.... Popped him back into his capsule and he slept the whole drive home. hehehe I even BFed on my front patio the other day. Had the girls out at their craft table painting and he wanted a feed so popped him on and watched the girls painting.... Had people across the road in the park (kids having sports day and teachers etc) looking then looking away, but it's my home and I think it's natural so....

Nothing wrong with Bf in public! Just that other people can make you so uncomfortable... Haven't done it yet, apart from at the doctor's today, but that was in a nursing mothers area. Jasper had his 2 month needles today, he didn't cry too much and is asleap now. Hopefully he will have no nasty side effects. Bought some panadol just in case..
Haven't posted for a while, so will skip personals for now... Jasper sleeps really well at night; he goes to bed at 19.30 then sleeps till 1.30, feeds and then sleeps till 7.00!!!! This happened the last couple of nights, so hopefully it is his new routine. On the downside of that he doesn't sleep much during the day anymore; one, maybe two sleeps of a couple of hours but is awake for the rest of it. Lucky he is an easy going bub and is happy to spend some of his awake time on a blanket on the floor looking outside. On the downside; he has two hourly clusterfeeds in the afternoon and a full hour to two hours of crying in between 5 and 7. But we won't complain.
Just back from town; booked flights to the Netherlands! We are going to visit my parents in July; they haven't seen him yet, so that will be great! Today we had to try hard to get him a passport photo; this is nearly impossible with a baby; facing forward, eyes open, mouth closed, neutral expression, etc.! Lucky we had taken some photo's ourselves at the weekend just in case DS didn't want to cooperate at the post office and guess what? Lucky we did, because he had wind and didn't want to stop crying. At least we have a photo and hopefully they won't reject it...
