Good afternoon everyone!! Hopefully y'all had a good night..


Minky - still waiting on his birth certificate, but I showed the lady at the post office the photo's and she said they were fine, so lets hope the best. It is going to be a very long trip, especially since we have to travel from country NSW to Sydney first. From Sydney it is going to be a 29-hour trip to Amsterdam; hopefully we'll survive and don't inconvenience too many other passengers...

Ash - My nipples still hurt too, this is mainly because the strong letdown that DS prefers to hang on the end of the nipple to catch whatever runs out and when that stops, he attaches himself properly by sucking the nipple in properly, this is what keeps causing the cracks... Sometimes he does this a few times per feed. If I try to get him to attach properly from the start, he coughs and chokes. Are there ways to slow the letdown?

Prama - If you have a digital camera; try taking some photo's at home when he is happy and awake and then get them resized in town. That's what we did and lucky we did, because at the post office he decided he had a pain in the tummy and didn't want to settle... We don't have his birth certificate yet either; they are soo slow. We rang them a couple of times, but they don't want to fasttrack the process. Apparently we should get ours this week. Is great to have a chance to escape the winter, isn't it? I am looking forward to catch up with everyone and spend quite some time on the beach!

Kirsten - I second you on the motilium! It got us going and now I don't need it anymore.

Bun - Congrats on DD sleeping on her own!! It makes life so much easier! Hear you on the DTD trepidations; got a pap smear done at the six-week checkup and that hurt like nothing else, so I am not too keen... Have to get started at some stage though; especially since we would like another little bubby at some stage LOL. DS had his needles on Monday, and coped really well; if anything, it made him sleep really well that night. He didn't cry too much and didn't have any nasty side effects. I think it is harder for us than it is for them.

Ambah - Sorry to hear you are having a difficult time. How is your 3 yr old? Hopefully he'll get better soon! Did you get the plumbing fixed? Lucky Eva is going so well.

Today we had our last new mothersgroup meeting. I don't think we are the group that is going to meet up again, but I might stay in touch with some people. Jasper didn't sleep too well tonight, but that was because he hadn't done a poo for 6 days and was trying to get it out from 4 am onwards; lucky he decided to wait till after mothers group, because I don't think it would have fitted into a nappy and could have been a disaster LOL! He should sleep a lot better tonight.

we're still waiting his passport too. finally got the baby bonus, they took so long cos they created a ghost account as centrelink was having problems with their sys.. sheeesh!
Thats a long flight to amsterdam! hope it goes ok. are you taking stuff to help jasper. im thinking of taking a dummy JIC the pressure gets bad. i might feed him during take off and landing, else use the dummy. we havent used one on him yet.

Prama - there are a few good websites with advice for flying with babies; this is one of them; Flying with Baby I was thinking the same; take a dummy just in case. Jasper doesn't have one either. Are you planning on introducing the dummy to Lakshman before the trip, or just see how he goes? I don't really want him to get used to a dummy. I just hope he's not like me; my ears don't adjust until an hour after landing.

Government departments; they are all the same! Hopefully his birth certificate doesn't have any mistakes on it. I think the say passport applications will be processed within 18 days, so that should be a bit quicker. Passports for kids are valid for 5 years. Lucky, I don't think DS would not be too happy to have to travel on a passport that has his baby photo's in it when he is 10 years old!!

Well i think Alexander has entered the six-eight week terror period i keep hearing about...
The last two days all he has wanted to do is cuddle. He screams when i put him down...
He also normally only feeds every four hours, and 6-8 overnight.
Today he fed at
00:30 & 1:30 - our normal night feed, then top up feed.
7:30 - he originally woke grizzly at 4:30, but kept patting him back to sleep until he finally cried.
13:30 - 6 & 6 is not unusual, he had two nights of 8 & 4
15:30 & then 17:00 & 18:15... and he would have fed more frequently if i'd let him... it's like he's refusing the dummy and using me as his pacifier today.
And he's getting wakeful now.
I know the closer together "cluster" feedings to get my supply up because he's going to want more, but i don't need it! He only feeds on one side as it is now... very rarely on both, even after his big night sleep... I can express almost 160 from one side if i get let down... and at most he's been drinking that if he has EBM.

i don't know what i'll do if he decides he needs cuddles every day for the next week or however long... he won't sleep unless he's in an upright position... and i don't know why... there's no wind so its not that! Maybe i will have to get the hug-a-bub after all... was just money i didn't want to spend just yet.

I got so tired of it this morning, after me having been up since 430, when he wouldnt go back to sleep after his 730 feed i took him to the shower with me. He actually loved it... even with the water in his eyes.

Question... (this should be in the rant room lol) can someone please tell me how "insert name here", a popular baby products brand gets away with being in business, and is so popular when their products are so bad for our skin, let alone babies... It's sad that so many people are oblivious to it :( I know i was, and poor Alexander had a riproaring red rash from his bath soap until my MCHN explained why.

we've switched to QV cos bub got excema, paed said not to use J&J top to toe and use non soap based stuff.

I'm going to have to get some Hamiltons or QV too. I would never have known how bad it is for bubs (im not a chemical analyst so i can't exactly read labels and make sense of them) but apparently it has liquid parafen (?? i think ??) in it... The nurse from mothers group told us today.

I use Gaia baby products; all organic and lovely for bubby's skin.

I found that Jasper's 6 week growth spurt only lasted about a week; after that he slept much better. He is more awake now during the day though, with only 2-3 decent sleeps and a lot of awake time. During the awake time he is usually quite happy to play on his blanket and look outside or at toys. He also started a definate witching hour between 5 and 7 and the only way to settle him then is to cuddle him or feed him.

well girls, I think there is an 8wk growth spurt too. I now have DS on formula as he has refulx and kept projectile vomitting my booby milk back. I do put booby milk in with the formula also and I try to give him one feed a day that is just booby milk. Anyway, he's been feeding every 3hrs and unsettled during the day. He wants cuddles all the time and he won't settle unless he's in my arms. He's talking soooo much and he's so cute. Trying to get him to sleep in his swing atm. Hope it works. Have DH home today with a sore back so I effectively have 4 kids atm. Yay.
I hope everyones unsettled bubs get back into a more enjoyable routine soon. *hugs* to all the tired mums out there. We are doing super jobs. Just remember that!

Ash -- I found I had to change to QV products with my first bub as he got eczema and I have just used it with the others! Your little man is gorgeous.

Katkins -- I reckon there is a growth spurt all the time -- I swear sometimes DD grows overnight. Am trying the feed play sleep thing -- she only lasts awake about an hour to an hour and a half and then will have 40mins or an hour and then awake for another hour and then another quick 40mins before next feed. Last night she had a bottle at 6pm and then went to bed at 7pm asleep by 7.45 and then she woke at 3am! WOW! Had her drink at 3am and then went back to sleep until 7.30!! Doubt wether that will happen again. Definately can deal with the awake during the day thing though as long as they sleep at night.
What is it about men when they are injured they are big kids LOL.

Hi All,

I am a bit behind...but as far as public BF goes, I don't worry too much about it. I fed at the airport in a cafe and didn't bother covering up. I haven't had to do it often yet though. I also haven't had any comments. Do people really care? i can't believe that strangers would say rude things to BF'ing mothers! but some of you have come across this have you? maybe i'm naive!!

We use Weleda products in the bath for Zoe...but only really a bit on a face washer to clean her head, then we just wash her in water. The mw's at the hospital told us not to use anything. My mum talked me into washing her head with soap to avoid cradle cap.

Nothing new here....same old stuff! i suppose i should be happy with that!!

katkins - I agree. I reckon DD has been having an 8 week growth spurt. She has been feeding every three hours the last couple of days and I feel like I have no milk left! Hopefully my supply will pick up in the next couple of days. DD is also talking heaps and I just love it!

I was also told that those products dry the skin so I am using curash which seems great and smells nice too!

DD's injections went ok. She screamed just as much when they took her temp than when they gave her the needles! I was sooo nervous taking her there but it really wasn't as bad as I thought. She didn't seem to have any bad side effects either, as she always is cranky and has a sore tummy anyway, so I didn't notice the difference!

Minky - it would be heaven if DD would sleep for two hours after swimming class! I would go every day if it did that, so here's hoping!

Ambah - I hope Eva's needles go ok! Good luck!

esme - lol, we want another bub too at some stage so I am also going to have to get ovet the fear of DTD! Not sure how much longer I can get away with it! Glad to hear DS's needles went ok. I was hoping DD would sleep well that night after hearing that is often the case, but no luck here!

I went to the physio the other day and my whole left side is stuffed. It is so sore all the time from carrying and feeding DD. I am hoping the swimming physio classes will help. We also had our first mothers group meeting on our own the other day which was nice. It's a really nice group of women who all live very close to us and I love meeting new mums in the area - it's a great help. I don't know what I would do without them and you guys to vent to and ask advice of!

Just a quick question, are the 6 weeker bubs heads still a bit floppy? Just checking as I Noahs is and I cant remember when they start to get a lot stronger?

hopefully your bubs are still asleep and its only me with my boys awake at the moment!
Minky -- from about 6 weeks they do develop more neck strength, DD has always had a strong neck but we also give her plenty of tummy time, she was also bigger born 9lb 9oz so I think that makes a difference.

Bun -- Mothers group is really great when you meet with other people you like, I have got two really close girlfriends from my mothers group 5 years ago and I don't know what I would do withou them either.

Hi everyone!!!

Had a busy weekend this weekend, DD's 5th Birthday on Friday, My 31st on Saturday and DH working away on Sunday! (Although Sunday was lovely because it was very quiet around here...lol..)

Had our 6 week checkup last week, all is well!

Sue, thanks for that! DS has always hated tummy time but we are persisting....he has quite a long head (from front to back) , and I need to get him somehow to not lean on either side when he sleeps as it looks quite heavy, hence the flopping forwards..lol.!!

Bun,yep totally agree with Sue about the Mothers group, once you connect with at least one mum, you will have such a great friend, support person!!! Good on you for getting out there and joining a group!

Kat, I hope the projectile spews have settled down??? How is your DH's back?

Esme, oh my goodness a 29 hour trip with a baby!!!! I dreaded doing the 2 hour flight from Perth to here when DD was 6 months old for the first time..lol..you are a braver woman then me!!!!!!:D

Hi All,

Well, this is the beginning of my first week at home alone with Zoe. Mum was here for the first three weeks and then DH was home for two weeks...now we have to fend for ourselves!!
I have found feeding and showering/clothing myself has been the hardest to fit in. It was nice having Mum/DH around to bring me drinks/food/tea/the phone when it rings etc.!!! HA HA!!
I can't imagine how all you mums with other kids do it!! I suppose i'll figure it out!!
I have tried to sort out a little routine that we are going to do our best to follow. The sad bit is that DH walks in the door just as little Zoe is heading off to bed. It's awfully sad for him!! Hopefully he will cherish his weekends with her and that will make my weekends a bit more restful too.

Minky...i was given the Weleda products as a baby shower gift. The are all natural and are gorgeous too. The person who gave them to me stocks them at her work which is a naturopathy clinic. You could probably also find them at health food shops???

Zoe is 5 1/2 weeks old and at the last weigh in (4 1/2 weeks old) was a mighy 3.3 kgs!!! tee hee....she is so tiny!!

Yep, spews have settled with thickened formula and gavescon. Mind u, if I forget to do it for a few feeds, he cries in pain from the reflux. Dh's back took all weekend to get better, but is ok now. Thanks for asking. How is everything going with u?

Hi Katkins, oh what a relief to hear that the vomiting has settled done for you guys! Must be a relief to know that you are helping him! Great to hear that your DH's back is on the mend!!

Hi Prama, thats excellent that Lakshmans excema has improved!!!! I know its nothing compared to excema but Noah has bad cradlecap at the moment, so we are slathering on the baby oil and it seems to be clearing it up slowly, its bizarre as to how thick cradle cap is! Lakshman looks so cute in your photo, he has such a cute face!!

Everything is good here, I think that we have our routines pretty much nearly there *touch wood* I can predict now when he will get hungry and cranky and when he will go down for a sleep! Noah is so much more alert now, I love it!!! I have been watching the occasional baby birthing show on foxtel and it feels so surreal that it was only 7 weeks ago that bubs was born, I cant remember him being that small...lol...:(:D

minky - we'll move him to his room at 6 mths, as SIDs recommend. Plus DH hasnt built his cot yet! Lakshman is still in his bassinet, next to me. it amazes me how his head get closer and closer to the other end! You;re right.. it only seems like yesterday they were so tiny.. sigh

Minky -- yes DD is in her own room but it is very close to ours so we can here her. My boys were in their own rooms from early on but down the other end of the house so I used to sleep on the floor on a mattress when they were unsettled.

Danda -- I am hoping you had a good week with just you and bubs at home. It does feel a bit isolating at times but then time will go so quickly.

Prama -- glad to hear Lakshmann's eczema has improved and you sound like you are doing so much better. Fantastic !!

Katkins -- great to hear also that Bryce has improved!! It must be a relief.

We are going well, my DH took the boys to the monster trucks last night and they had a ball.
DD and I had a girls night she went to bed at 7.30pm and so did I to read and rest up, it was lovely.

Just had to post!!
My DD had a bottle last night at 8pm and went to sleep straight after and she is still asleep. WOOOHOOOO. She has been waking for a 4am feed but she slept through today. I have been awake on and off since 4am waiting for her to wake and now my two boys are up and she is still asleep!!!!!! WOW.
Sorry to brag my boys never slept that long until they were over 6 months.

Hey Sue, that is great on the sleep! A good nights sleep makes you feel soooo much better doesn't it?
Ben has been dropping one of his night feeds as well. It is great as it means one of us gets an uninterrupted nights sleep. That was the plan until last night when I was woken at 3:30 by a strange noise. Woke DH who looked out the front window and saw 2 men trying to break into our house! They saw DH looking at them and did a runner, but by the time the police had been and our adrenalin had gotten back to normal and we had checked the doors and windows 6 or 7 times, the sun was almost up. Luckily we have decurity screens on everything so they couldn't get in, and the front door is right next to the bedroom, but still,your mind plays the "what if" game. Scary!j
Luckily the kids slept through it and we won't tell them about it. Freaky enough for adults without scaring the kids as well.
Anyway, Ben is wanting to be cuddled again. It is such an effort (NOT!) It is going to make tidying the house a bit hard, but hey, if it doesn't get done, I have a good excuse.
Hope everyone's bubs are sleeping well. SOunds like routines are in place. A tip from an old hand though.... Just when you think you have the whole routine thing cracked, bubs will change the rules. Just something I have learnt (the hard way!)

Prama, thanks for letting me know about the SIDS recommendations for bubs sleeping alone, I had no idea it was at 6 months! DD went into her own room at 6 weeks, DS's room is opposite ours, so I am seriously thinking about it, at least he is close enough to hear him, he is the noisiest sleeper..lol...

Hope all is good. Just a quick reply to Prama, no time for personals as DS is very windy/unsettled today...

Prama - re birth certificate; I rang them last week (as it was 7 weeks since we registered him and they said it was going to take 6 weeks to process) and they tell me that it is going to take 3 months because of a babyboom and public holidays!!!! So I told them that we just bought tickets to go overseas based on the six week processing time but they said it is impossible to find Jasper's application out of a few thousand and the only thing they could do is send me a form for a normal birth certificate application as they can be fasttracked. So now I have to fill in this form and include a letter to explain the situation and ask if it can be fasttracked. I have to include photocopies of the tickets to show that we have booked... So it might be a good idea for you to give them a ring too; unless you still have plenty of time of course...

Sorry, got to go... Jasper just doesn't want to settle... Any of you have bubs with wind problems? He strains excessively too; he is not constipated, but does it most of the time when he wakes up. Sometimes it seems that Infants Friend makes a difference, but not always. Today he is just crying and crying. He had one good sleep on my tummy, but after that he has been too unsettled. Hmmm.. it is quiet, he might just be asleep... Some more bellybelly time!!! ....Nope, he just woke up again....

hello everyone, im bek, im new to this, kody was born 5th feb, first time mum, very scary and exciting. about the birth cert prama, i actually just got off the phone wanting to see where kody's was and the lady told me it's a max of 12 week's before your sposed to get it! i was originally told 6-8 weeks but the lady said 6-8 week's for processing and then a coupla weeks to be sent out! it's kind of ridiculous i think.

Minky - I cant find where i read it's better for bubs to sleep in the parents room, but i think mostly it's cos the highest risk is till 6mths and if in the parents room you can be more alert. But i went through their website and they talk about baby monitors so must be ok to have them in a separate room. i find it hard to sleep with him next to me cos i wake up at the slightest noise, tho he could be screaming his lungs out and Steve would be fast asleep. And he makes lots of noies in his sleep! But I'd be even more paranoid if he was in another room!

Esme - wtf!! 3mths!! why cant they at least notify us it's going to be delayed! I think we paid by credit card, I'll have to check, maybe i can see if they've already processed payment. We applied later than you, 3-4 weeks ago.
And we go away mid June. Bugger, we'll ring them tomorrow and see what's happening. Did you send it to Sydney? I suppose it all gets processed in teh same place.. sigh!!

Well I've been lurking and not posting again...
Alexander's "growth spurt" has been... wonderful... NOT! :p
For the last ten days he's been feeding three hourly (yesterday was two hourly) and all he wants to do is be held. I know i shouldn't complain because i had it easy after birth but I was used to him being an awesome baby, lol!
He's also a bit reflux-y which isn't helping but it's not too much of a drama. When he's horrible he settles with a bit of Mylanta.
At last check, 6wks4days he weighed 5120gms (11lb, 4 1/2oz) and was 57cm. So growth has been 1470gms (3lb, 4 1/2oz) and 5cm. I hadn't paid all that much attention until i put some newborn socks on him yesterday that used to be too big that are now at least half and inch too small... they do grow to fast :(
In the middle of converting to cloth, but still really nervous about it as i don't know how it's going to go. Such a lot of money at the outset makes it hard to believe that you're actually saving money. That, and I've already cottoned on to the MCN addiction.
BFing is still going strong, am very proud to be nearing eight weeks... but very sick of the ever growing monster boobs.

Alexander is getting so strong it's amazing... And i'm hanging out for thr first laugh, he's making so many new noises day by day so I'm sure we won't be far off.

Esme - we still have wind/colic problems... doesn't seem to matter how many times i take him off to burp during a feed it still comes out the other end with him screaming a few hours later...

Kirsten - haha yup i know what you mean, DS has just turned his 'routine' back to front. It's so much easier to let him lead at the moment...

Sue - What a wonderful night for your little darling!!

Hey prama i was lurking in your march thread and you and SJ said you bought some crappy nappies off eBay... i did no research and went ahead and bought some that could possible be the 'useless towelling nappies' SJ described... were they 'environaps' by any chance? really cheap like 6 for $33?

Prama - All we did was send in the forms that the hospital gives you. To be honest I've got no idea where we've sent that. Yes it is ridiculous that you have to ring them to find out.... And ringing them is an ordeal too; it took me 30 minutes on hold before I got through to an operator, so make sure Lakshman is asleep!!! They were quick in sending the new form though, rang Thursday and it came in the mail today... By the way; like your new photo of Lakshman! They are becoming so alert and responsive now; so much fun!

Ash - Burping doesn't seem to make any difference to Jasper either. He does them dutifully after each boob, but the wind is still bad. I've got the feeling that it is partly caused by the very fast letdown; he struggles to keep up the first minute or so. He can only keep up if he is really thirsty. Does Alexander 'vomit' a little too when he's got wind? Jasper is 'leaking' vomit continuously (only little spews); makes it hard to keep him clean. It doesn't seem to worry him though.

I have been lurking here for awhile and not writing too. Sorry if I miss anyone.

Bek- Welcome. Kody is a great name.
Prama- We put DD in her room after 3 days of being home. Her room is right next to ours. How is the feeding going? I read in another thread that you are almost all over to ff. You just do what is best for you, Lakshman and Steve. If you have gone to FF full time then Steve can be a real help for you too.
Esme- Great new pic of Jasper. They grow so quickly dont they?! How painful about the birth certificate. Like Ash, Ambers birth ceritificate came really quickly. The systems must be different here in Vic because we are having a baby boom too. The hospital was jam packed.
Ash- Well done on the BF. I am still going at 9 weeks. I have nearly packed it in a few times. But I keep setting goals and we see how we go. Amber gave us a giggle yesterday. I was blowing soft raspberries in her neck and she just laughed. It was so cute. I hear you on how quickly they grow. We got the tape measure out roughly before and Amber was about 62cm. She is now comfortably wearing 00... I hope she slows her growth down soon. Oh and I have bought some of those nappies from ebay. I hear bad and good things about them. I have yet to use any of the MCN I bought and are seriously thinking of selling the ones I did buy.
Kirsten- OMG about the people breaking in. I would be too scared to stay home! I love it when bubs is being cuddly. I feel wanted.

Amber turns 9 weeks on Wednesday. Where has the time gone! She is growing like crazy. We have our 8 week MCHN appointment on Friday (they postponed last week) I am interested to see how much Amber has grown. We got the tape measure out before and she is roughly 62cm. So she has grown roughly 10cm from birth. I wonder what she weighs. She is comfortably into the 00 clothes now. We have a heap of 000 we didnt even look at. I hope her growing can slow or we will be into 0... She is fully BF at the moment.
How many feeds is everyone doing roughly a day? We are about 6-7. At what age can I look at dropping a feed?
Amber is getting better at sleeping during the day. I can now get her down for a couple of one cycle sleeps which is a hell of a lot better than a few weeks ago. She is sleeping well at night still with waking once for a feed. The last couple of days though she has been waking early around 630. That extra hour again would be great. She is also in her cot full time because she has outgrown her basinette. She looks more like a 3 monther than a 2 monther. She loves her cot too.

So now I have written an essay. I will try and write more often.

I decided id just try the nappies out in the end. If i boost them they might go the four hours for his day feeds (or three that they are at the moment).

We're also doing anywhere between 5-8 feeds a day atm. I kinda figure he's still having his 'growth spurt' so i'm letting him lead me because it's so much easier. He went from being four hourly feeder to eight hours overnight to now feeding three hourly and six overnight.
So i dont know what he's doing lol.

esme - did you have to pay again? Steve will ring them tomorrow. They have a new office in Parramatta, you'd think 2 offices would make things quicker.

jen - Amber is a day younger than Lakshman! but he's much smaller. We're still plodding along with BF. I express a couple of times and put him on the breast a couple of times a day, apart from that he's on formula. I thought i'd at least do BF part-time instead of completely stopping for now, like if he was on solids, BF would be come some of the feed all of the feed. I suppose something is better than nothing.
my nipples are bit better from the rest, but he's getting lazy and not opening his mouth big enough to latch on. he think im a bottle! we see someone from the parramatta family care next week, maybe she can help.

I get milk coming out from a couple of spots at the base of the nipple, is this normal? and i suspect him sucking near there makes it more painful. well i can feel his gums on it, so he's chomping as well.

I'm so tired today, didnt stop at all. he needed 2 baths today. we had a bath in the tub, then i went to dress him up and just put a nappy on and he did a poo. i cleaned him up and he did another poo. i waited, then he did some more. and he was crying a little, and then spewed a little. just when he was all cleaned up, i turned to get his nappy and he did a little runaway hose, and pee-d all over himself. so he needed another bath! he made use of almost all of his orifices!


ash - lakshman's feeding habit is a bit out of whack too. it gets worse when we go out and he's tired and sleeps a lot more. he used to sleep at least 5 hrs at night when he was on breastmilk and now 3 hrs on formula! it's supposed to be the other way round! so i dont know what he's doing either!

Hi everyone,

Haven't been able to get on here since my mum left to go back to the UK last week and now i'm on my own with 2 children under 2 years! Just an update from me as i don't have time for personals but am loving hearing what you're all up to.

DD1 has been fantastic to date (she's 21 months), very affectionate and not playing up really. Amelie (now 7 weeks) is also great, bit refluxy and sleeps well at night.

I just can't seem to manage to put her down well during the day. By the time i've seen her tired cue, i go to put her down and then something interferes ...like DD1 climbing onto her bike seat on the bike and wanting to go out or bringing me her shoes as she wants to go the park or she does a monster poo so i need to change her before settling Amelie....

And before i know it, i've missed Amelie's sleep cue, she's got herself into a state and i have to spend a lot longer settling, whilst leaving a 21 month old to her own devices in the house. Which can be a real recipe for disaster. BF is going well as we're now in control of my oversupply issue i think and i've had to become an expert at feeding whilst walking around as i just can't sit on a sofa for 20 mins with DD1 running around!

Yesterday they were both asleep for 7 mins at the same time all day. I had the quickest shower ever.

Any tips on managing a toddler at the same time would be gratefully received!

Zoe and I are doing our best to get into some sort of routine here. Seems to be ok at the moment, but it doesn't take much to muck it up!

I went food shopping for the first time today on my own (with Zoe in the baby bjorn)...well, the first big shop anyway. It's quite an ordeal really, but it's done now so I am sure it will just get easier!

We use cloth nappies part time (disposables overnight and when we go out). I really like the MCN's and I feel so much less guilty when they get pooed in as soon as i put them on. I have such a weight on my conscience with throwing out all those 'sposies!!

Looking forward to my first mother's group session tomorrow and a weigh-in with the MCH nurse.

Oh dear Prama that does sound a bit odd... could you maybe try a different formula? Or would that just unsettle him too much?
And definitely for his wedding speech... or his 21st you never know!!

Roya, sorry things are proving to be a little tough for you at the moment... Hopefully Sarina stops giving you trouble soon to make it easier for you to manage Amelie... I can imagine while you're tied up settling A, S is off running rampant and pulling everything in reach out of all the cupboards??

Danda i remember my first trip to the shop trying to juggle the pram and the shopping... it was quite the ordeal... now we've decided to shop for meats, non-perishables & toiletries once a month so i can just pick up milk, and fresh veges on my own...
