and totally understand what all you girls said before, im struggling being pg and lakshman being full of beans and acting up sometimes. esp when he refuses to put on his clothes and wants to run around nudie or decides he wants to change his clothes every 5 mins. sigh
So...I haven't popped my head in here for ages....but it seems I'm not the only one. It's all a bit quiet eh! Too many babies now I suppose!! HA HA!! Are you all too busy or have you found more interesting/relevant groups to chat in?
Me update: 34 weeks pregnant now. Have pretty bad pelvic instability and a very normal 2 year old to look after (normal=a freakin' handful!!).
I finished work last friday and today was my first real day of rest as Zoe will still be in CC two days a week. phew!! Extremely tired though...PI wakes me up a lot at night, but i suppose it's a good way of getting me prepared for the arrival of #2 (a boy!).
Not going to make any promises about being back here soon cos I am terrible at it!!! but with 2 free days a week for the next 6 or so, i might have a small chance!!!

Me - very uneventful pregnancy so far. Still feeling great. Another OB appointment and hospital pre-admission interview tomorrow.
This one is another boy which I am very excited about. Having another csection (by choice this time) so even though I still have 4 weeks to go, this wone will be making his debut in 2 weeks and 2 days .......... OMG am I ready ????????????
Hope all you lovely ladies are well - we have all come so far since February 2008.
Hopefully I will drop in a little more often.

We are going ok. Benjamin is 2 months already, I just can't believe how much faster it seems to go the second time around. He is a much easier bub than Jasper (fingers crossed it stays that way), feeds and sleeps quite well. He is changed so much already and the smiles we get make it all so worthwhile. Jasper seems to be coping ok most of the time, and loves his little brother a lot. He tries to read him books and share his toys with him. lol, I can only hope he will still be happy to share his toys in a years time. His talking has improved out of sight and everyday we get new words in the right context. It amazes me every day how fast they keep developing/changing; it just doesn't seem to slow down. He has dropped his day nap mostly though, not real happy about that. We try to do 'quiet time', but it is never quiet in there; he just talks to himself the whole time. Ok, I thought i'd give a quick update. Have to go and feed the baby....

wow, benjamin is growing up so fast. i guess 2nd time around you know what to expect. and so glad to hear jasper's sharing w his little brother, im sure they'll grow up to be best mates!
i hope poopy's the same with his sibling too..
lol.. so cute jasper talking! lakshman goes on and on as well, only a month ago they were worried at day care he wasnt speaking enough, now he cant stop. he's such a daddy's boy, every 5 seconds it's "papa", "papa", "papa", "papa" "papa", "papa" "papa", "papa"

Its been so long since I have written in this thread... Actually so long since anybody has written!
I have been stalking the birth notices and see that Prama has had a girl! Congratulations Prama, Steve and Lakshman! Cannot wait to hear a name.
How are all of the 2.5 year olds? Mine throws ripper tantrums. She is so frustrating at times. She has a nasty nasty temper and my god it is a nightmare here sometimes. She isnt interested in toilet training. She will sit on the toilet, then blow her nose then wipe her bum. Talking is getting so much so quickly. It is now so hard to imagine having her as a baby who never moved or spoke! Cheeky little thing. I have to read her a book in bed at nights for her to go to sleep in her own bed. She has been sleeping through 4 out of every 7 nights and the other ones we just throw her into bed with us because it is simply too easy.
My baby is going well. 7 months old now and quite easy to handle. She sleeps well at night, wakes once for a feed. Still going with the bf there too.

Hey there! I thought this thread was a bit quiet too! My DD2 is very much 2.5 yrs but thinks she's 5. Likes to keep up with her older sister but then throws major wobblies very often every day. Lots of talking and being proud - her set phrase at the mo is 'i did it myself!' It's very cute 95% of the time! Thankfully she's now sleeping through all night but only from about 8pm till 6am.....my 4 yr old sleeps more than that!
DD3 is now 6 months and is already crawling and trying to keep up. She's developed a lovely bond with her older sisters, in particular DD2 keeps trying to make DD3 laugh and it's just gorgeous to watch. She's waking about every 2 -3 hrs at night though....not so good!
About a month ago our landlord told us that he's planning on knocking our house down so I've barely slept in 5 weeks researching all about houses, mortgages, inspections etc - it's done quite differently in the UK. We've finally narrowed it down to a suburb we can just about afford and despite DH good income, i'm shocked that we're going to have to live soooooo far away from his work, our friends etc. Without a spare $million or so there's just no way we can afford where we live now. So life will be changing for sure in the next couple of months. He served us notice last night so we're either buying soon or renting then buying.....can you imagine that with 3 little ones?!
How do people afford to live close (within 15km) of the city in a family sized house??
Ah Roya, we could not afford inner Melbourne either. We didn't even get a little look in so we moved to Sunbury. Which isnt bad. The city isnt too far away if we need it and we also have a huge backyard for the girls to play in and no smog. I am a little bit country at heart!
Hi all. It's great to see some action in this thread again. And congrats to Prama! Can't wait to hear all about your little girl.
We are going well - DD is talking up a storm and is nearly toilet trained. She still throws mammoth tanties and can be soooo difficult sometimes she drives me crazy! Other times she is lovely though. She sleeps through most of the time now, but some nights are still awful. DS is just over 7 months and is going well. He was a great sleeper but is unwell right now so I am up every two hours at night. I hope he goes back to his usual one or two night feeds soon! He can roll and sit but I don't think he is even close to crawling yet. I have noticed how different boys are from girls though - he is into everything!! DD was never like this. And I can't believe how much he eats! He is going to be massive at this rate...
Roya - I hear you on house prices - we used to live in Perth and houses are ridiculously expensive there. We now live in country Vic where house prices are much cheaper. Good luck with finding a place and moving - it is pretty stressful at the best of times, especially with little ones, so I hope it goes well.

Hello everyone else, very good to have a 'catch up' again.
We are going really well, Jasper is talking very well; he just doesn't stop. He has been a really good toddler, but has started to assert himself a bit more lately. Ah well, was to be expected, I don't really want him to be a pushover. Ben is 4.5 months already and is such a lovely little boy. Very easy going, happy and sleeping well (knocks wood...).
hi girls, just a quick post, am still at hossy and about to give bub a feed.
we have a little girl, born at 2.28pm on monday the 23rd. all is well, they had to break my waters at 2pm when we went in as tehy thought she might have done a poo. I was 4cm dialated. labour was very intense after that, and she arrived so quickly.
we are doing well, having some bf problems but should be all right.

Well, we just bought our first house in Australia and it's in Eltham. It's a nice house, on a hill so an interesting back yard (different levels) but in a good quiet street and i think it's going to be a good thing for our family. We didn't really have much choice given our budget about how far from work (he's in the CBD) we would be. It interesting because in the main cities in the UK, cheaper housing tends to be close to the city.
