Thanks girls! Feeling reasonable; very tired, trouble sleeping, but not too much nausea just yet. I suppose I can expect that in a couple of weeks... Due date will be the end of March, going of my dates, haven't been to the doc yet, so don't know if he is going to change the date...
-
hehe i hope it's the 21st of march.. that's my birthday :D
-
Prama - most due date calculators give me the 31st, but Jasper was three weeks early, so you never know!
Regarding cooking for Poopy; would it be possible to cook a couple of big batches of different meals and then freeze them in portions? That is what I do for Jasper, so all I have to do is pull a portion out of the freezer and reheat; couldn't be easier and it saves a lot of time. xoxox
-
yeah, poopy was 2 weeks early too. isnt there some theory abt if the first one is early then the subsquent ones are too.. i dunno
i do cook a couple of days worth for poopy. but it's for us too. i know i should cook a bigger batch on the weekend but im tired of cooking for him and for us separately, plus i feel guilty for us having a hot fresh meal and me giving him a frozen one..
with curries, it doesnt taste so nice when you freeze it..
im so excited you girls are pg!!!
-
Yeah, I am over the separate meals too, but Jasper eats at 5.15 and that is a little early for us. I just put about 6-7 different vegies in a big steamer and make a vegie mix for him, after reheating I add some meat or cheese. But he is learning to eat more of the meals we are eating... very slowly...
-
esme - glad to hear you're not feeling too bad yet. I hope you don't get bad ms, mine was awful! It is so good to finally be feeling human again.
I must admit, I am so jealous of you guys who can get your bubs to eat mashed up vegies, DD would never eat stuff like that. These days she eats with us and just has whatever we are having, as she just refuses to eat any baby food or home cooked mashed vegies. It makes it very difficult for me to get vegies into her, she is not the greatest eater.
Jen - it seems hardly anyone leaves it a surprise these days. My friends keep asking when do I find out the sex?, like it's not even a matter of if I want to, just that it's a given I will find out! I would rather not, I like the surprise although I do find it very tempting to find out. Still, I will try and hold out again so we can keep guessing right til the end! Have you felt any movement yet? I think I have a couple of times but not sure as it seems too early to be feeling movement, even for a second baby.
-
I have felt a couple of flutters but I dunno if I am dreaming or not!
Amber has gone off vegies too. The only way she will eat them is hidden in something like mornay. Oh and she eats anything at child care which is funny!
She has another cold so has bouts of the miseries at the moment. Has anyone been shopping to the target toy sales?
Any ideas on what you are getting them for Chirstmas? Amber is getting a play kitchen. She loves the one at child care and loves pretend cooking! I got it from Aldi a couple of weeks ago.

Hi All,
Congrats Esme! what great news!! Not so hard afterall eh!!!
We've had a challeging few weeks....Zoe has been sick again (she's pretty much been sick since she started childcare 5 months ago!!! Both DH and I have also been sick. One thing though, Zoe, whether she sick or not has always been agreat eater but she went off hr food about 2 weeks ago and is barely eating!!! She has brekky no worries but then just grazes on sultanas, cheese and fruit. Not great given that she is so tiny (she has only just cracked 8kgs!!!!).
She has some more teeth coming (4th, 5th & 6th) so i guess that probably has something to do with it....
Zoe had her first sleep over at Nap and Pop's place last night! It went really well....she slept overnight from 7pm-7:30am and didn't wake once!!!!!!!!!! Not a single night goes by where we don't go into her at least a few times! I wonder what was so different at their place....maybe just good luck! Some friends of ours have moved home from England (after 10 years) so we had a welcome home dinner for them. It was fab only I think i was too excited at the prospect of not having to get up in the morning so when a ****tail bar (and several ****tails) was suggested at the end of the night, for some reason it seemed like a good idea!!! Not so, when I am so out of practice with the whole drinking thing!! ouch!!!
Anyway....hope you are all doing well. warm fuzzies to you all.
Goodnight (off to bed early i think!).

Hi girls,
Not so very good news here, looks like this little one wasn't ment to be yet. Started bleeding and cramping yesterday. Will probably hold off ttc again until Dec.
That's me for now, will be back later...
-
oh darling.. so so sorry..
-
Oh Esme Honey I'm so sorry to hear that. xoxox
-
So sorry to hear that sad news Esme. Hope you and your partner are doing ok.
-
I am so sorry to hear that Esme. Big
-
Thanks girls, your support means the world to me! Feeling slightly better today. Did any of you get a MMR booster vaccination? I am now wondering whether to get one done, but the catch is you can't ttc for 3 months after.... So, not entirely sure what to do...
Bun - Jasper is starting to get a bit pickier too, but so far still eating his vegie mash I make for him. Although I put some peas in with it; when he noticed that he decided to refuse the rest of the meal... See how we go...
Congrats Jen; feeling the first flutters; such a special time! Toddlers are funny creatures, aren't they? At least she still eats at daycare!
Danda - Yay on the sleepover! Time to start planning those nights out.
As for us; Jasper got a rash on his tummy about two weeks ago, I thought it was heat rash, because he wasn't sick (just a bit of a cold), but the rash is still there, so will take him to the doc this arvo. It doesn't seem to bother him at all, but it doesn't go away either.. It seems like he has just gone through another developmental stage as he now plays quite well by himself and starts to do 'imaginary play'. He pretends to put a helmet on and then makes motorbike noises, and he also loves mixing things in a bowl; very cute.

Esme, If you ever wanna talk to someone Im here. I lost the baby between Tara and Jake. I was 6 weeks preggas at christmas, and thought it was ok to spill the beans. I was so sad I have had IBS since then from stress. I very close to asking the doctor for a anti stress tablets. Its a lighter anti depressant. Its not easy to loose a pregnancy. I hated the fact it felt like couldnt control anything. It does get better. Im sure you will be ok for the next pregnancy like I was.:comfort:
Hi girls, Sorry I havent been in. I have been pritty sad. I have had Irritable bowl for quite awhile now, and it seems to come and go. I have also got some strange pain in my uterus and back, and it sometimes runs down to my leg, and stops at the back of my knee. That also comes and goes with the pain. I just wish since having Jake I could be 100% again. The winter weather doesnt help either.
Jen hows things? Jakes a pig. He eats anything. Steve even offers him the cat food when feeding the cat. Jakes mouth goes wide open. I punch Steve and say,"Stop it you bloody fool, I will put cat food in your tea if your not careful." Im serious too. One time steve didnt wash the teaspoon properly when he feed the cat, and I ended up with a chunk of dried cat food in my Milo for breakfast.
danda, Jakes been sick too. We have train tracks running down his nose non stop for the last 5 days. Its so hard when your sick with a sick child.:cold:
Bun, hows things? Has DD got many teeth yet?
Jakes got ALL his teeth now.:jawdrop: His 2 sharp top teeth came through the last few days. I tell you it almost sent me crazy.:tmi: He just wanted to be picked up all the time. Not good.:hide:
Jakes crying coz Tara is yelling at him for getting into the microwave.
Better go

esme - i hope jasper is ok, and the rash is nothing serious.
karlie - i had ibs before i got pg, it was just so painful, it felt like my insides were being twisted. wow all his teeth.. no more to worry for a while yet!!
i have been on a roller coaster..
anyway something funny happened today. i was giving poopy a bath in the tub. and he reached and touched me down there, felt a bit and then did a gesture with his hand that we taught him meaning 'don't have or all gone or no more' i think he was saying i havent got what he's got!
i would have thot he;s a bit young to realise this.
-
Lol, Prama, they are a more cluey than we think! Hope you get a chance to get off that rollercoaster soon for a bit of a break ;). How is your mum? Is Poopy feeling a little better?
Karlie - Sorry to hear you haven't been well, I hope you will get some relieve soon . Thanks for your offer, very much appreciated. I think I am coping quite well, it helps that I had a miscarriage before Jasper, so I know I can have a miscarriage and then go on and have a healthy pregnancy, which makes me feel a little less incompetent. So fingers crossed for next time...
Jake has all his teeth already? Jasper only has 6 so far, so many more sleepless nights to come...
It sounds like the boys on here are little gutses and the girls are a little fussy with their food, Jasper eats quite a lot too.
Went to the doc yesterday, he said the rash was a viral rash; nothing to worry about. But he also discovered that Jasper has some exzema, lucky it's only a little bit hopefully it won't get worse. I used to have it quite bad as a kid and can still remember the itch :(... He also said that I should still be covered by my immunisations I had as a child, so I don't have to worry about getting a measles, mumps, rubella booster and then having to wait 3 months before ttc...
Yesterday we put the Target outdoor maxi climber on layby for Jasper. A cubby with steps and slide to play with in the backyard. Will pick it up in October though, so have to look for another idea for Xmas/birthday pressies. Looking into some Thomas stuff, but that is quite expensive. I find it hard to predict what he will be into in 6 months time...
Hi to everyone else!
-
esme - glad you are doing ok.. been thinking about you lots, hun. xoxxo
poopy had eczema too, and he's much better now. steve also had issues when he was young and i have cutaneous lupus. so we are very careful with him too.
i just saw the catalog and the maxi climber looks like so much fun.
we were thinking gettign him a sandpit and i started a thread to ask what the other mums thought. although the clam shells seem popular they are hard to clean and are a bit of a trouble. we might end up getting some sleepers fr bunnings and making one ourselves. there's a DIY catalog on the bunnings website on how to do it.
we'll see if we'll get him something else. we are going back to msia so he'll prob get more pressies there.
he also has a jumping castle from his birthday that we've hardly used cos it's so cold.
boy he's a spoilt little boy! we have to make sure we dont get him too many things.
and thanks.. i hope i feel better when i get to msia..
