OMG, just had to share: it rained here today!!! It was 35C again and will be for at least another week they say but we had the first bit of rain for the entire year so far!!! And it was enough to wet the ground and run into the gutters! Yay, so exciting. Pity about all the plants we put in over the last year or so: all dead already :(
Celeste has been really unsettled during the days lately. Only sleeping for 20mins or so. I think she just needs catnaps in the day? She sleeps about 12hours in the night with a couple of wakeups for feeds. Anyone elses bub do that?
Had mums group again today and discovered that one of them llives on our street. So freaky. They come from towns all around the area so a bit flukey that one who has a bub the same age range lives 10houses away!

hi ladies,
Amy is finally asleep for the first time today although I'm not sure how long it will last. I ventured down to the shops this morning. Was in desperate need for a few things and just needed to get out of the house. Took Amy in her carrier and she just chilled out the whole time we were there. It was nice to do what i had to do and not stress about her crying.
Jess - hope today is a bit cooler for you. here is windy yet again. You can make formula in advance (it depends on the type of formula though). I sterilise the bottles and put the water in, and then make them up one at a time. i make one up at the end of each feed so I've got one ready to go at the next feed, if that makes sense!? When I go out, I have the water in the bottle and heat it up a bit and have the formula in a separate container and mix it when it's time for her feed. If you make it up beforehand you need to ensure that it's kept really cold until the feed, which is a real hassle cos then you have to find somewhere to heat it up. HTH. So true what you said about people not caring if you've been BF or FF. Plus, if you can't BF, what do they expect you to do....let your baby starve!? I think it's lucky that we have the option of formula.
Sazz - There is no way I'd be able to get good handprints and footprints from Amy. She wriggles waaaaaay too much! Hehehehe. I know what you mean about sudden changes in bub's behaviour. Amy has gone through one of those in the past few days. She's a lot more fun now and her personality is starting to show a little. She's going to be cheeky methinks! Sounds like the IL's weren't much fun. It's amazing how some people are with babies. You should have seen the way SIL held Amy the other day. She was letting her head loll about and I was like "You have to support her head" and she was "oh ok then". Who doesn't know that!?!? Derrrrrr. Have got MIL coming to visit in about half an hour. She hasn't seen Amy for about 2 weeks so it's going to be an interesting experience I think. I just hope Amy wakes up for them or else she'll want me to wake her up I reckon. Geez, it's always so much easier with your own family isn't it!? I wish Amy wasn't the first grandchild too.....oh well. who cares what your BIL thinks about the photo. He's lucky he got a thank you card in the first place!! Hehehe.
Bindy - I was FF too and I turned out ok as well.....i think! Hehehe. Some people are so opinionated on the BF and they are usually the ones that never had any problems.
Jo - nice one on the sleep in!
Kate - I am so unfit!! But loved being back at the gym. Am feeling it today though! Next session is Friday. thanks for the reassurance for the sniffles. It seems to come and go throughout the day with Amy. Oh well. I go out with Amy as soon as she's had a feed but that's about it and I try not to wake her up to go out if she's in a deep sleep. If she's sleepy and I've got an appointment or something I'll let her sleep in the carrier. That way I don't have to unwrap her and fully wake her up when I'm putting her in the car.
Ok, it's taken me forever to write this cos I had visitors half way through so I'm sorry if people have posted since I refreshed. I will address you guys next time. Hi to everyone!!! Chat soon lovelies xxxxxx Luv Nik and Amy
-
Sazz - I've noticed Amy doing that too lately and then absolutely crashing out at about 4pm for a fair while. She's been having a feed about 8pm then 1-2am and then waking at 5am. We put her back to sleep at this time and she's been sleeping til about 6-6.30am. That's been for the past two days so let's hope it's becoming a routine, but then again now that I've said something it will change hehehehe. That's great about the rain!! And what a small world!!!
Bindy - I don't find making up bottles time consuming either. I just make sure that it's at the top of my priorities as soon as she goes to sleep I'm making sure her bottles are up to date so that I don't run out if she has a bad day and I don't have time to make up more.
Ok, am up to date with everyone now I think and have written a novel. Am going now xxx

I went and got the fess little noses today as Celeste has been having real trouble. She had a cold for a couple of weeks which the doctor said was nothing to worry about but now that her nose is drying up a bit the left nostril is really irritated and dry. Sometimes she will sneeze (or vommit through her nose, poor thing) and then she will have a little bit of blood in that nostril cause the skin is so sensitive. The child nurse said to put a twisted up bit of tissue up there to pick the boogies out but that does the same thing. Sometimes she sounds sooo congested too. Anyhow, I thought even if it isnt blocked, the saline will help the sore nostril to heal faster. Heres hoping!
Hmm, nothing else to report here. Had tea really early and still hungry. Am eating so much lately, BF isnt going to reduce my weight the way I'm eating!!!
BTW, I was FF toooo. and Im well...not normal but ok!

Wow, saw the weather for VIC & SA on the news this morning. It must be awful to be in that heat for you & your bubs girls. It was about 27 degrees here today so I'm not complaining.
Saz: Yay for the rain! Hope it made it alot cooler for you.
Jess: I make up 6 bottles every night and put them in the fridge. So that way I don't have to keep making them up every time. I've heard that it's fine to leave them in the fridge. If I want to go out, I boil some water and pour (180ml) into a bottle then put it into my nappy bag that has a thermal pouch to keep it warm. Then I scoop the formula (3 scoops) into the Avent formula dispenser and off I go. It does get easier the more you do it.
Bindy: Just wondering how many minutes do you heat the bottle up in the microwave? I haven't heated one in there yet, I usually boil the jug & put it in a container and wait for it to heat up.
Kate: On going out shopping etc, Bodie is usually pretty good and falls asleep in the pram. If he starts to cry I give him a dummy, but I make sure I feed him before I leave. Sometimes I take a bottle with me but he is alot more settled when I've fed him before. Hope this helps.
Anyways better go make up bottles.
Hi to everyone else!
April & Bodie xo

Hi lovelies,
We had scream fest 2008 here this arvo. :wall: I would say Billy was overtired from having two full days out and the heat. My own fault. He finally went to sleep at 4pm and so did I. I woke up and everyone had gone out for dinner. I find it weird sleeping during the day anyway but waking up to an empty house actually really unsettles me. I knew they were going but still... I'm so strange. pmsl
Bindy, I do my bottles exactly like you. I reckon it's the way to go. I was making them up one at a time but can't be bothered now. It's just easier to get organised like that and if Billy wakes up and is DESPERATE for a bottle, he's not waiting too long. I agree with the microwave. Trial and error but I always test them. :)
Sazz - awesome news on the rain! Perhaps Celeste is unsettled because of the heat. I think that would be totally understandable. I know Billy has been and we haven't had it as bad as you. Not yet anyway.
Nik and Sazz - sounds like Billy, Amy and Celeste are all having a bit of the same sleeping habits. Nik, Billy's times sound very similar to Amy's at the moment. Can't wait for a full night! :)
Hmmm, I had something else to say to someone but I can't remember. Just made up all the bottles now going to get something for tea.
Wishing a good night to everyone.
Back tomorrow.
x
ps. Thanks April and hi!
-
Will be quick because Ramsay's Kitchen is on and I LOVE IT! He cracks me up that bloke.
Ok...I heat the bottles up for 36 seconds if they've been in the fridge for a few hours (1000w microwave oven) - it's trial and error though really. If I heat them up more than that, I swear they get a bit warm! Even if it just a couple of seconds more. I used to heat them up in a jug of hot water but Madeleine got too impatient for her bottle.
Sorry for no personals...will be back later.

Hello ladies.
Great to read that all the bubba's are doing so well. FF or BF.. way to go mummies!!
Im so out of the loop here .. im not even going to try and get the personals done. I know its slack and all that, and im sorry if that offends anyone. I do love reading how much support and care flows through the pages, its great you all have such a good thing going here.
FF is NO WAY AN INDICATION OF ANYTHING. My Doctor said she never saw a boobie as an infant.. and she still managed medical school!!! I do understand that people will give their negative opinions where its not wanted. And to HELL with them really!!
Im doing alright. Joshua still makes my nipple bleed every now and then. Then chucks it up all over his and my clothes. Nappysan and I are close friends. Its very draining to get this boobie business going well. Positive thinking doesn't always help in the middle of the night. I have considered FF. VERY TEMPTED. But i keep reminding myself that it IS getting better everyday. SO I should keep it up. :wall:
Josh is grown out of his 0000. Amazing!! His little face is changing so much already! We are settling into a routine. Sleeping well at night. Feeds around 8pm then falls asleep around 9. Then waking up at around 3.30-4am for the next feed. Been doing that for a week now. Got my fingers crossed it continues.
Got a big trip to the in-laws in Toowoomba planned on the weekend. Its a good 2.5 hour drive!! See how the little monkey goes. DH his working the day we are leaving. So ill be packing the car including our 2 furry kids and traveling up following him in. Shall be interesting.
Take care on and all.
Tascha & Joshua
-
well that will teach me not to come on for the whole day lol!
thanks everyone for the FF info, omg im so much happier with him on formula !! feel like i have got 'me' back! and hes so much more settled and in more of a routine! boobs are MASSIVE atm hahaha wish they would stay this way but i spose my milk will dry up :p hehe
i bought an avent bottle warmer, soo good, takes a few mins to heat the bottle, and it heats at all evenly, and its pretty small so i can just pop it in the nappy bag and take it everywhere! also got a steralizer which is great
jo - yer i get 4 or 5 bottles and put boiled water in them and put them in the fridge, and then put the formula in them as i need them, jaylen never really screams so i will just keep doing that i think :) !
tascha - yer jaylen has fully grown out of 0000 too, he was still in a few last week but now hes not :p and i dont think hes going to be in 000 much longer if he keeps growing like this! if u do decide to FF, DONT feel bad ok! i felt bad for doing it, but i feel so much better now, bbs were just sore and tender all the time and everytime i fed him i was like, ohh is it going to hurt this time...
april - jaylen is really good when we go shopping too, hes LOVES being out and about!
saz - yer i have heard that BFing is the best diet ever but it didnt do anything for me, i havent been eating that bad, even missing tea sometimes and i feel i have put on weight if anything...
kate - yer i think i will wait a bit to try the #2 teats.. hes fine on the #1s for now!! im using the Nan gold formula, jaylen loves it, so glad i didnt have to buy like 4 different tins to try them out lol
well i better go and makes some bottles! jaylens into a routine now of feeding at about 11.30pm-12pm which is good cuz thats when i go to bed, just cant sleep any earlier than that... and yer then he wakes up at about 4am-4.30am... and even if i fed him at 7am, he ALWAYS wakes up at 7.30am-8am and stays awake.. thats ok though!
ok im off !
xx
-
Jess, yay with the Avent bottle warmer etc! I love Avent brand...glad you are feeling better about FF. Like I've said before, any woman who can breastfeed is magic, I certainly couldn't and it was very difficult in so many ways. My boobs were never large or hard and sore, I didn't produce hardly any milk for my little gutsy Madeleine. I have felt terrific since I started her on FF too (from 2 weeks) - have not even looked back thinking I failed or anything, life is wayyyyyyyyyyy too short for that nonsense....
You wait until he goes to sleep at 9 or 10pm and doesn't wake until 6am! It's heaven....
Ok, off to make up some formula now myself while my little angel is sleeping soundly in her bouncer.
Goodnight,
Bindy and Madeleine xx

Hi ladies,
Amy's nose seems to be getting a little better but we'll wait and see. I don't want to jinx it! We're going to see my midwife today to give her the gift we bought. I think she'll be so happy to see how Amy is going cos we had so many dramas with the feeding. I think she'll be happy to see how much better I'm doing too.
Sazz - poor little Celeste. It's amazing how much of a problem a sniffly nose can become isn't it!? I hope she's better soon
Kate - I wouldn't know myself if I got a full night's sleep!! What does that feel like!? Hehehehe. It's so good to hear that Amy's feeding and sleeping pattern is normal. You just never know do you!? Bummer about Billy being unsettled. Amy was a bit like that yesterday and then had a huge sleep in the afternoon.
Tascha - good to hear from you! Wouldn't it be nice if BF was as easy as they trick you into thinking before you've had the baby!? Hehehehe. We're still doing half half here but will go full time formula after 12 weeks methinks. At the moment Amy gets about 2 feeds a day with bb then top up and the rest is full formula. my bb's just don't fill up! but then again, they never did! hope the bleeding stops soon you poor thing x have fun in toowoomba!
Jess - good to hear things are better FF and you are feeling better :D
Bindy - I hear you on bb's not making enough.
Hi April!!!!
Well, better get going on our little outing. I'm psyching myself up for a 25 minute drive with Amy possibly crying all the way. It's so relaxing NOT! Heheheh She just does not like the car seat sometimes. Seeya ladies xx Nik and Amy
-
bindy - i TOTALLY agree, lifes too short to be worrying about stuff like that!
nik - yer i feel so much better FF, and jaylen seem to like it better too.. hope amys good on ur trip! jaylen loves the carseat and his pram and just everything to do with being out and about hehe!
well hes been pretty unsettled this morn... just wants to be held! he fell asleep so i started to dye my hair and he woke up like 5 mins later!! ahh! had to take the gloves off and give him is dummy ect lol.. hope it turns out ok now.... lol, have to wash it out in like 20 mins, so hopefully he will stay settled..
got the MHN coming this arvo, be interesting to see what jaylen weighs since he hasnt been weighed since he was 2 weeks old! he prob weighs like 20lbs hahah jk
well better go have something quick to eat b4 i have a shower!
oh by the way, who has their bubs in a bassinette and who has them in a cot? jaylen is quickly growing out of the bassinette, but i put him in the cot b4 to just see what he looked like lol, and he seems waaay to little to be in there! :p and if i did put him in there i would take the cot into my room i reckon, not ready to have him sleeping in another room :p i spose the earlier i put him in a cot in another room the better... dont want him being like 3 years old and still want to be sleeping in my room lol!
-

Hi ladies,
Amy is actually sleeping in her rocker without being wrapped. She must be zonked! I don't have to put her in her carrier this morning! Yay! We've got clinic this morning to get her weighed so I didn't want to put her in her bed wrapped cos it really wakes her up when I unwrap her. not much to tell really. Had a good day out yesterday. Went to see my midwife and then went to Trade Secret. i had a $160 voucher from work and managed to spend the entire thing on Amy! I got some of the most gorgeous clothes you have ever seen. I bought some bigger stuff too cos she's growing out of things quickly now. It was fun and Amy was soooooo good. Then we went for a walk yesterday afternoon and Amy didn't cry until we were around the corner from home. So stoked. She was fascinated by the trees and everything, so fun!!
Jess - how did Jaylen's weight go? bummer you aren't feeling well. Hope everything improves soon! I'm going to put Amy in her cot after 12 weeks cos at the moment when she gets her arms out she's banging the sides with her arms. They do look tiny in the cot don't they!?
Kate - hope the weather doesn't get you too down.
Maz - good to hear from you. hope things are toooooo hectic.
ok, i'm gonna go do some chores. Amy just put herself back to sleep so might have another half hour if I'm lucky. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Might go outside and get some sun today.....might head down to the beach for a walk.....
Luv Nik and Amy xx

Hi laddies!
Soo sorry I haven't been on in like.... what seems years! I actually made 2 huge reply posts last week and each time my puter shut down! ok so I guess I had a few programs and about 20 windows open
Anyway I just wanted to see how everyone was doing I have stalked you girls a few times when I get the chance and tried to catch up on your posts. I'm glad everyone is doing ok.
Luca and I are doing really well, he has his 8 week check today at 2 so I'll let you know how he goes. He's graduated from newborn huggies to infants this week although he could have gone earlier cause I could see his butt crack  my guess is he would be close to 5kg now eeek! he's in the 000's. I had my 6 week check that took all of 2mins lol I guess that's a good sign everythings ok. I have my follow up diabetes test next week which I'm not looking forward to, imagine they tell me no chocolate for the rest of your life?? :wall:
Anyway I've been busy working on my website trying to look like I work from home HAHA! btw if anyone is interested in any free advertsing let me know
I will pop in again soon miss you gals

Jess, Madeleine co-sleeps with us hun. She does look big in her cot (even though she weighed in at 6.3kg at Week 7 - she's a chubba bubba). She has never liked her cot, no matter how much I try. She'll sleep in a bouncer now and again through the day and with us at night for now. We'll see how she goes when she is older. I bond so much with her when she sleeps with me though.
Hope everyone else is well.
I might weigh Madeleine today at the local chemist, she's 9 weeks so it will be interesting to see how much she weighs!
-
nik - yer they look so small in the cot! yer jaylens put on heaps of weight, he weighs like 5.7kgs now! fatty!
bindy - ohh im too scared 2 sleep wit jaylen, dont want to roll onto him lol!
good to hear from u maz n tiff!
just a few questions
1. since its hot as lately i might start giving jaylen cooled boiled water, how much can u give them?
2. im bit worried bout how much formula hes having, hes having 180mls, usually leaves about 10-20mls, says on the tin thats meant for a 4 month old, but hes screaming again in about 2-3 hours, is this normal?
he seems to be crying heaps more now in the daytime... hardly sleeps and i always hav 2 be holding him or right nxt 2 him..

Hey Ladies
I had a lazy day on the lounge yesterday and just played with Sophie & bathed her as she is more awake during the morning these last few days but still sleeps which i'm thankful for so i can get things done around the house.
Well TMI but we've DTD for the first time last night and didnt need any extra lube and it hurt to begin with & felt like i was going to tear  but all was good and no after effects thankgod.
Oh and another thing i stopped BF two weeks ago and decided to have a bra free day because i'm absolutely sick of wearing bra and my BB's leaked a little bit last night so i had to put the bra back on with the breast pads.
Havent tried Sophie in her cot as yet as she still fits into her bassinette. Sophie too is in Infant nappies & ooo's clothes, she could have been in infant nappies for a week or two now but i was trying to use up the newborns i had left (didnt succeed still have half a bag), but now shes in the infants the newborns look SO small.
Jess- with the cooled boiled water i was told to offer Sophie 60mls and each time i have shes taken about 30mls and not wanted any more. Sophie is suppose to have 160mls (according to the tin i use) and she'll sometimes take the wholelot, sometimes she'll take 100mls and other times she takes between 120-140mls, depends how hungry she is i guess.
Sorry for the lack of personals will teach me to have a lazy day wont it.
-
Jess, I have never rolled onto Madeleine. I put her in an anti-roll pillow anyway but it's strange how motherly instinct makes you wake immediately when they wake. There are safe ways to co-sleep but I was scared in the beginning too!
Bonham, talking of sizes, Madeleine is wearing "00" clothes and in "crawler" huggies nappies....what a CHUBBA she is!!!!
-
bindy - yer i was going to buy one of these co sleeping baby bed kinda thing lol i cant explain it, but yer i spose when jaylen sleeps ok in his bassinette it will be ok!
jo - well done on DTD hehe!! yer jaylen is in the infant nappies, but i think he will grow out of them soonish too! and hes in 000 but again i think he will grow out of them soon too
hmm wonder why hes being so unsettled 2day, i feed him, put him down, and he screams, have to be holding him all the time? prob normal but im so used to putting him down after a feed and he goes to sleep lol!
-
Jess, that's right, if he loves his bassinette, then great! Madeleine loved hers at first too and then wasn't interested anymore. The only way she'll sleep from 10pm-6am is with us now, little rascall she is...sorry Jaylen is unsettled today, probably just wants lots of cuddles from Mummy! I know Madeleine never lets me leave her sight! She is in her bouncer and I leave the room for a second and she whinges for me to come back! Ahhhh....gotta love em...
-
Bindy- wow '00' already! she is a chubba isnt she (no offence).
Jess- thanks, i was a little scared to start with. Some of Sophies '000' are big others are smaller guess it depends where they are bought from. Sorry Jaylens being unsettled for you, is it warm/hot there? maybe try giving him a bath on warm/hot days i give Sophie a bath and it calms her down and she'll sleep afterwards but in saying that what works for one baby might not work for another. Sophie loves her bassinette especially when its time to wake up she kicks the wrap i have over her off and then manages to get out of being wrapped up no matter how tight i wrap her haha little monkey.
-
bindy, yer jaylens like that too, hates me being out of his sight, and i think it was u who said the other day, that an inlaw was holding her and she was just gazing at u?! jaylen does that to, soooo cute! MHN even said yesterday, 'GOD look at him looking at you, loves his mummy!' lol! :D
yer its a bit hot here jo, tried giving him cooled boiled water b4 and he hated it, oh well lol... put him in his cot b4 and put the music mobile on, and hes asleep yay! dont know whether its the mobile that put him to sleep or the fact its a bit cooler downstairs or theres no noise down there or he likes the cot, i dont know lol... its the bets mobile, its the fisher price rainforest ones, plays the cutest songs and has rainforest sounds and moving animals and leaves ect... was $80 so thats not too bad

Hey ladies,
well, I've decided that weighing babies is a big load of cra'p once they've reached their birth weight. No matter how much Amy eats she just doesn't seem to pile it on! I don't understand!! we went and had her weighed this morning and she'd only put on 90g but she was due for a feed and had done two big poos this morning. So if I'd gone earlier in the morning straight after a feed, she probably would have weighed at least 200g more! It all depends on when you weigh them! I'm just so over worrying about it. She only weighs 4.5kg and hearing about how much all your bubs weigh and they're younger than her makes me think something is wrong. But she's such a happy baby, she's sleeps well and she doesn't cry after she's had a feed so I can only assume she's eating her fill. So I'm just going to tell myself that she's not a big eater (like her mum) and she's got a fast metabolism (like I USED to have hehehe). At least that will put my mind at ease. I can't make her eat more than she does. She's supposed to be having 180ml now at her age but I'm lucky if she finishes 120ml. but then other times she'll have more....so I'm just confused and totally over it!
Amy's in infant nappies too and just starting to fit into her 000's although some of them are still a bit big. We've got more clothes to choose from now though which is pretty fun!
Just a question....how long are all your bub's now or when they were last measured? Amy was 57cm at 8 weeks. Just interested in the differences in lengths of bubs rather than concentrating on weights for a change! Hehehe.
Tiff - great to hear from you. Glad everything is going well. I've got to have my GTT too but keep putting it off cos it takes so long! hehehe.
Bindy - weight is definitely one thing you don't have to worry about! Can Amy borrow some of Madeleine's weight? ;-)
Jess - that's great about jaylen's weight. I wouldn't worry about the amount of formula he's having. He's just got a big appetite which is the opposite of Amy! I guess no matter what we always worry. If you're worried, give the child health clinic a call. I'm not sure about the water situation. I'm not giving Amy any cos I haven't seen anything that says you must and no one has told me I should.....and she's seems happy without it.....Amy's has had a couple of days like that. I just put her in that carrier and carry her around everywhere with me when she's like that.....kills my back eventually but it stops her from crying! heheheh.
Well, better get going and do some stuff around the house. I was going to go for a walk after clinic but her weight upset me too much so I came home. I can't believe it's 1pm already! Luv ya ladies xx Nik and Amy
Jo - Yay on DTD!! Lazy days are fun aren't they!?
-
nik - yer as long as shes doing lots of wees and poos and drinking what she likes it should be fine! yer jaylens such a pig. drinks 180mls and wants more sometimes.. how often does amy feed?
i havent had jaylen mesured since birth, just weighed, might roughly mesure him later when hes awake, wouldnt mind knowing lol!
i bought a carrier thing, and i cant figure out how to work it, i put it on and clip it all 2gether ect but theres press studs that look like they are supposed to go 2gether, but they dont... so no idea
ohh the house is starting to heat up :( never heats up until about now...
need to go to the chemist but theres nooo way im leaving the house hehe
-
Just a quick one ladies, as we're about to go late night shopping.
The dreaded AF came back today. Seems like she's been away foreva! Oh well. It's not as bad as I thought it would be. Have got slight cramps but nothing out of the ordinary. I guess all you girls BF won't get AF for a while (lucky ducks!).
Nik: Thats great Amy's starting to fit into 000's. Like Jess said if she's doing lots of poo's & wee's and drinking what she can she'll be fine. I bet she looks adorable in the new clothes you brought her. There's so many nicer girls clothes out there than boys clothes. I got one of Bodie's 00 bodysuits today & it fit him! What a chubber! hehe
I got Bodie measured a few weeks ago, and now I can't remember what it was! Baby brain! I will get back to you on that. Will have to check his blue book.
Anyway we're off now...
Hope you are all going well.
April & Bodie xo

Hi everyone
Perth holiday is going well, slipped into DH office to check emails quickly. Glad everyone is great.
Addy was great on the plane- fed, slept fed and slept- almost a 5 hour flight so that was good.
April- Unfortunately fully BF is not necessarily a ticket for no periods. Mine came back at 6 weeks. I had 3 days of heavy, but painfree bleeding. My ob says its normal and they may not be regular etc so I may not know when the next one will hit!
Better go, hugs to everyone

mary - glad addy was so good on the plane! how much longer u on holidas 4, i love perth! was born in subiaco, want to go back and live somewhere in perth one day!
SO sick of this heat... have to go out 2day, but will wait till a bit later i think... the guy in the unit down the back on my house moved out last week, so theres people down there mowin the lawns ect, like 3 cars taking up the driveway so im not going anywhere anytime soon by the looks of it.. hope i get someone good in there... will skitz out if they are noisy...
jaylen just HAS to be held or he screams, is anyone elses bubs like this, i feed him, put him in the bouncer and he screams, then i will sit there 4 a while and he'll be fine, but then he'll start crying again!?

Nik- Lazy days are fun, except DF whinged i didnt iron his work shirts, oh well cant do everything haha, but i ironed them this morning after Sophies 6am feed so whinge no more he will do. A week ago at 6weeks Sophie measured at 55cm, havent got her weighed & measured this week but will next week. As the other girls have said as long as Amy is weeing, pooing & drinking shes doing fine.
Jess- if Jaylen doesnt take the boiled water now dont stress about it, try again maybe between a feed if he seems to be hungry. But good one that he went to sleep in the cot with the mobile going. I cant say Sophie screams unless she's being held but she does have a clingy day every so often. Hopefully you get some nice neighbours who dont clog the driveway.OMG i seen the weather forecast this morning 40degrees for Melb i feel SO sorry for you Melb girls.
Mary- glad the flight went well & your enjoying the holiday.
April- sorry that AF reared her ugly head. I dont know if ill get AF for a while because i got my depovera (sp?) injection last friday and with that i dont get AF for 3months will wait and see. Wow 00 for Bodie.
We had to change our dr appt for 8week needles as they booked it for Fri 21st (hello good friday) so had to reschedule it for Tues 25th.

Hey gang,
Celeste had a really unhappy day yesterday too Jess. She didnt really sleep or feed properly all day. She was too hungry to sleep properly but too tired to feed without falling asleep. If she was in her bed she would wake up 5mins later and I had to hold her. In the end I just held her for a couple of hours so she would get a decent bit of sleep. She didnt really settle properly till 11pm but slept till 6.30am so that was a good catch up for her. Hope he finds it better today. I reckon its this horrible heat doing it even tho our house is aircon.
Jo, Celeste is having her needles on thursday 20th. Just got in b4 easter. DR wanted to do them on 19th but that is my birthday and I said no way was I going to torture my baby on my birthday hehehe. Will have DH home over easter to help if she is unhappy for a few days too. :)
Mary, how good was Addy on the plane!?! That's great news. Hope you are having a great time. WOW at AF coming back at 6wks. Gawd, my spotting only just stopped then from birth! Hope mine doesnt come back for ages as they are so painful for me. Wonder if she keeps sleeping for so long at night (BF) if that will trigger it?
April, Bodie in 00. wow thats impressive. Celeste still fits half of her 0000 stuff. Some 000 fits but only in length and cause she wears cloth nappies that fill it up more too.
Bindy. Holy cow on that weight. Thats fantastic! Celeste weighed exactly 4kg at almost 7weeks. Imagine the two of them together! HEHE.
Nik, Yeah I agree, lets compare length for a bit hehehe. Celeste is in the 25% range for length: she was 54cm at almost 7wks up from 48cm at birth. With her weight she is now up to the bottom 10% range at 4.0kg then. Im happy with that cause she did drop to the bottom 5% at one stage. She will just be a slim girl which I was till I started filling out in mid highschool. She looks long and thin even her fingers but DH and I both have really long fingers too.
Hello everyone, come back and visit when you have time!

Hi ladies,
Had a good morning. MIL came over to watch Amy and I went to the gym. Felt so good to be exercising again and am feeling fitter already and I've only been twice! wanna get rid of this pot belly!
Jess - Amy is feeding 5-6 times per day. She's started finishing almost every 140ml bottle over yesterday and today so cross my fingers, her appetite is increasing. I know what you mean about the carriers being confusing. It took me ages to get the hang of ours!! Amy's had a couple of days like you're having with Jaylen. It could definitely be the heat. Maybe a semi cool bath might settle him?? Who knows!? these little ones definitely test our powers of mind reading don't they!? Hehhehe. I hope he settles soon for you x
April - bummer about AF. I've been wondering about when mine will come back. should probably start taking tampons with me when I go out just in case! There are definitely more clothes for girls out there than boys. Although Trade Secret has a fair bit for boys....
Mary - Wow, 6 weeks. My bleeding had only just stopped then too! What a bummer. So glad Addy was good for you on the plane. Would have been a nightmare otherwise!
Jo - hope you enjoyed ironing. I hate ironing. I do it when I need to....and Mark does his own. Heheheh. So therefore he goes out a lot with unironed clothes on hehehehe
Sazz - so glad amy isn't the only small bub here. yeah i've just been telling myself that both mark and i were never big and all our relatives aren't big....hope celeste is more settled today.
i'm gonna go now. got a migraine which is hard to get rid of when youre at a baby's beck and call! xxx nik and amy

Nik, good on you for going to the gym! I've been walking all week, it makes you feel so much better. I am really wanting to shift this belly too...it's like a pudgy thing below my belly button...GO AWAY I say...! That's great with Amy feeding 5-6 times a day and 140mL, well done! Madeleine is now on 220mL a day about 6 times in 24 hours, she is a little guts. It doesn't take them long to increase it and you find she'll keep sucking the bottle at the end of the 140mL!
Hi to everyone else, hope you are all well.
Bindy and Madeleine xx

Sazz- we could got in before easter but decided to leave the needles until after easter. Dont blame you for not wanting to torture your princess on your birthday, birthdays are for relaxing & enjoying the day, not going to drs to cry more than bubs when she gets her needles.
Nik- Yeah i got my ironing done, started at 6am and i'd finished by 7am, didnt really enjoy it but it stopped Chris whinging he didnt have an ironed work shirt haha, no way would he think of doing the ironing himself heavens forbid i'd fall over in shock.
Sorry for the lack of personals.
Kate- How did the GP? did you go/take BTK?.
Footy is back on WOOHOO, ive been DYING for something decent to watch on Friday nights. Sophies was feeding every 3 hrs yesterday and today shes gone 3 or 4 hrs. We had to vote for some mayor thing today, dont know alot about it but i went and voted and mark 1 on each piece of paper. Sophie's been sleeping well between feeds i put the webcam on her this morning so my family in Sydney could see her and they couldnt believe how much shes grown since they seen her last month, the poor octopus on the activity mat bars above her head cops the brunt of most of her hits its cute.
Well going to watch footy, my team just won so going to see how the rest of my footy tips go.
Chat soon lovely ladies.

Hiya
Well my little girl laughed at me this morning for the first time, I was blowing raspberries into the side of her neck, ahhhh, it was the lovliest sound.
Jess, your friend should be letting you sleep! Not staying there until 3.30am! Man, you must have been really tired. I know I would have been. I had days where Madeleine wouldn't let me put her down either, they just want to still be so close to you at this time that's all.
Well just a question, what did everyone do with their maternity payment from the government? Ours is still in the bank and I think I might open up an account for Madeleine and pop it in there. I saw something on the news about the government taking it away, I agree that some people use it to their own advantage (to buy plasma tv's and the like - Today Tonight had a story on it one night too about this) - I think some people just have babies to get the money! Annoys me a bit....
Well have a great day everyone.

Hi all!
Just got back from another weekend away. Was only 1.5 hours drive so wasn't too bad. Bodie slept both times so that was good.
Mary: No good about AF arriving 6 weeks after, hope they don't become regular for you. Hope your having a nice time away.
Bindy: With our maternity payment we have just put it towards house bills & food. I get annoyed too with people just having bubs for the money. That's a good idea about putting it in an account for Madeleine, and woohoo for her first laugh... how cute!
Hi Maz!
