hi girls
jo sorry to hear that kaleb isn't coping to well atm. this may not help, but i remember my first dd being a little upset about having a new baby in the house (she was 21mths when he was born) she was a real clingy bub and definately a mummy's girl, i will never forget the tears she cried when i had to leave her with mum and dad when i went to hospital to have him - or the tears she cried when i came home with her brother, or the tears she cried when it was time to leave the hospital after visiting - you get the picture. anyway i was speaking to a really good mchn about this and she gave me heaps of great advise but one thing stuck out was that to try and spend 5 or 10mins a day one on one with the older child doing something they want to do - be it digging in the sandpit with them, coloring, drawing, singing - whatever there choice make it special and all about them, it really worked for us. we also went to playgroup once a week which was my saving grace as she had lots of little buddies and they were all becoming big brothers and sisters too. the behaviour didn't last to long and they had a very loving bond. you will get there don't dispair things will work out just fine.
mitch how's it going? looking forward to school holidays, ours start today as ds school has curriculum day tommorrow, i am looking forwad to sleep ins and all the fun activities we have planned - omg we are going to be flat out, my diary is jammed packed for the next two weeks - so many fun things to do, plus my mums birthday and my nephews b/day both will be big as one is a 60th and one is a 1st and they are both next weekend, phew i am going to be buggered. lets hope the weather holds out
jessica sorry to hear aiden isn't liking to be left atm - i bet he gets over it really quickly. they go through all sorts of funny stages good luck on the ttc game this month too
[B]kathryn[B] nice to be in hear chatting with you again. how's is your little family going, are the boys excited about another sister/brother. i see you are having your scan soon (i do read your update lol) are you going to find out for sure and if you do are you going to tell you bb friends - pleesssssssse. btw my guess is you have a pink one on board, but then thats just a 50/50 guess lol
mel how are you going? cheeking eliana throwing toys on top of you whilst on your laptop, lani comes up to me and tries to take off my glasses when i am on the puter (i only wear glasses on computer for eye strain) so i guess she is giving me a clue lol
theresa sorry to hear about emma's ftt. i hope things get sorted soon for you.
hi to everyone else. not much happening here, just getting over this fluey thing i have had, all i can say is thank god for codral lol, i know that the 6hrs is up when i need another. lani is good but i think hers is turning into croup gees louise i sooooooo hope not. she was off earlier in the week so i guess it was what i started with the aches and pains and general feeling like **** - but today she is a little bit hoarse and a little bit barky not full on croup but certainly sounds like the start of it - i soooo hope this is as worse as it gets as i don't want another episode like last time with the docs sending me straight to hospital ready for her to be incubated. i was contemplating taking her to docs this arvo but she is happy in herself sort off, you can tell she is not quite right but she is sort of happy and playing and not tooooo whingy, she ate dinner tonight (her favourite spag bog) and has been drinking heaps of water, i have the vapouriser going in her room so lets just hope that does the trick. thing is they won't give the steriod medicine until it is full blown croup which usually happens during the middle of the night and dh is on night shift - so lets just hope it doesn't go into full on croup.
anyway i will stop typing gosh i am a gas bag pmsl sorry for boring you all. have a good night, i am at a loss withouth the amazing race to watch might have to watch the footy show
-
Michelle Hope it doesn't turn into croup, that would be awful. Sounds like you will have funthis hols. We are POOR so not much will be happenng here, oh well it is the quiet season for steam cleaning
Mel- business is a bit quiet atm, I have joined the BB Market place so the link is in my signature. I am having a few supply problems atm and also waiting for my uncle to organise a shopping cart for my site. I should be able to start entering stuff into it by the end of the weekend and then hopefully it will go on very quickly, then all I need is to win tattslotto so I can buy all the things I want to put on there LOL
ANyway my gf and her kids just left, school ends tomorrow but I am not going to worry about waking the kids tomorrow, they break up at 12.30pm anyway and I figure I don't need to wake up early lol
have a good one.
michelle

Hi everyone, just a quicky from me - my boobs have just started leaking so I geuss that Imran will wake up and want a feed any minute now.
Jo, Congratulations on your little bubba!! Yasin was really cross with me when Imran was born. In the hospital he basically refused to cuddle me or sit on my bed and when we got home it was all about daddy and he ignored me. I made an effort to put him to bed each night so we could have a bit of quiet time together while we read his story and now I try and spend a bit of time each day building block towers or playing ball etc and we're friends again. I'm sure that Kaleb will adjust too but it will take a little bit of time.
Kellee, congratulations to you too.
Michelle, I hope its not croup. Yasin had it a while ago and it gave me the heeby jeebies.
Michelle, I took a look at your site. You'll probably have an order from me in november when SIL has her baby.
Tegan, yay for Lily's words. Yasin seems to be going backwards in that department which has me a bit freaked out and the ECHN still hasn't runfg me back about an appointment. I'll have to chase it up soon.
Hi to everyone else.
-
Heya Mooshie !!
Kam is definitely excited about having another baby coming home. If you ask him if the baby is a boy or girl he will tell you outright it is a girl and that is just off his own accord. We will definitely be finding out the sex on Tuesday if bubs lets us of course lmao, and yeah we will telling everyone as we both hate referring to bubs as bubs/it/ etc. So want to say a definite he or she and use his or her name.
Love
-
Hey Dasch
good to hear that things worked out with Yasin, you really can't blame them for being ****ty when a new bub comes home, their whole lives change. I look forward to hearing from you in Nov, sounds like your familyhas a baby boom, is it just the 2 of you with bubs this year?
I kept the kids home but Jourdan was up at 7.30am anyway lol, I do have to go to the school at 12.30 anyway cos Jordan's friend is coming to play after school and have to bring her here. My plan this hols is to get the kids to take more care with the packing up of what they had tpo play with. You would think the bigger kids would be better at cleaning up but they aren't. Josh has to clean his room today and we have to run around and tidy up the other stuff the kids have been playing with last night (as my gf left so late, the kids didn't pack them away last night).
We have a fancy dress do at the footy club tomorrow night, I am waiting to hear if mum and dad will babysit. I am ****ed of at MIL cos she tells everybody how she minds our kids all the time, whenever we need her to, however most of the time we ask her she has plans or backs out at the last minute. Well she can't do it Sat night as she is going out, the last time I asked er a month in advance at the last minute she decided to go to QLD and not come back till the night we were sposed to go out, and all the other things we have had on this year she has been BUSY!!! (or she organises something when we ask). Now I do not believe he should drop everything for us, but what pises me off is that she tells people things that aren't true. People have the impression that arron and I go out lots and she looks after the kids all the time and that's not true. She has come twice in about 4 mths and watched the kids long enough for Arron and I to go down the pub and have a meal and ome home. We left the over noight at 6.15 and were back at 8.25, and we went 15mins drive away. Anyway just thought 'd ***** about that lol. Does anyone have a great MIL?
best gt moving, gotta unpack/pack the dishwasher, put the washing on and dress the kids, then it will almost be time to go pick up Jordan's friend
Have a good day
Michelle
-
Hi girls!! I'll just apologise in advance but I can never seem to "do" personals LOL....
WOW at the new big brothers & sisters. Matilda went to the midwife appt with me today & she was surprised at hearing the heartbeat, but then wanted the doppler put on her belly to listen too.... pretty cute. I'm positive she'll get her nose out of joint too.
BUT its her big day tomorrow. I'm baking her cake atm, a marble cake & I'm pretty excited now. She doesn't seem to have any idea about her birthday, but I hope having 4 other kids there tomorrow will help.
Croup. We had a croup/asthma scare the other night. We went to hospital at 4.30am (can't remember if I updated in here) and by the time we saw a doctor she stopped the breathing difficulty. So they decided it was either one but couldn't diagnose anything until it happened again :roll eyes: luckily it hasn't & I went to our normal GP to let them know & they gave us a script for pred drops jic... thankfully. I don't want to have to do anymore early morning rushes to the hospital!
-
hi girls
thankfully no hospital trip last night, i think i have caught it in time with the vapouriser and raising her cot - she has the snots big time today but not green yet so she is on some demazin poor little mite - she will be better soon.
christy = yup the croup is scary. my first dd had it when i was around 8mths preg with ds. when lani got it last year i wasn't as freaked as i had been through it with jessie so i took lani to gp for the predisoline (sp) anyway stupid gp thought she had epligitis (which is why they are immunised for hib) and sent me straight to hospital. hospital confirmed was just croup and was given 3 doses of steriods. i went back to my original doc a few days later cause i was so ****ed off at the other gp and she looked at the notes and it turned out lani was at stage 3 of croup, stage 4 is basically when they need to be incubated and apparently lani was pretty close to that stage and they were a bit worried cause it happened in the arvo and they thought she would reach stage 4 by night time thats why they sent me to hospital - sheesh it wasn't great, i was a mess.
any omg at matilda being 2 yrs old - wow it goes fast doesn't it.
kathryn - yay i reckon kam might just be right about a little sister. my ds wants a brother next time cause he already has a sister lol, i told him that it i can't make to order lol, he said doesn't matter anyway i just want another baby - so do i lol.
dach - sounds like all is well over there. try not to worry to much about yasin and his speech it is quite possible just a little through back cause of imrans arrival - these little people have funny ways of expressing themselves. a friend of mine had her 2nd baby when her first was 3yrs old and had been tt for ages well about 2mths after the baby came along the toddler started to go behind the couch and go to the toilet, they had a real battle for a few months but then things got sorted.
michelle - when you get the trick on how to pick up after themselves please do tell your secrets - would love to know lol. jay has this terrible habit of playing with something then leaving it and getting something else out. last night he decided to "renovate" his bedroom, i wasn't game to look and when i took him to bed omg the room was a shambles could hardly get in there, so i just said oh well you made the mess you will have to put up with it so i left it, lol - he cleaned it up this morning after me threatening we won't go anywhere today if he didn't. it worked. went to mcdonalds and had a play with some friends then came home cause lani was getting crabby, he is home 5mins and starts whinging how bored he his omg give me a break, he is playing playstation now so hopefully he will be occupied for a while, arhh nope he just announced he wants to go to a friends house to play - arrhh i might send him outside to kick the footy around.
better go - high to everyone else
-
Hi Girls, Nikki here, I'm new to this area of the forum and look forward to joining you all for a good chat. :)
-
Welcome Nikki, what is your gorgeous litle girls name? And when was the birthday?
Christy- hope you have a lovely day tomorrow, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATILDA!!! Gosh that was quick getting to 2. We haev lots of bdays through the year as all my close family we go to see them on the night of the bday so she sings the song and gets to blow the candles and is getting quite good at it. I'm sure Matilda will have heaps of fun when she realises it is all about her, and how gorgeous at wanting to listen to her tummy too. I have a feeling you will be right \about the nose out of joint thing but she's allowed after all she will be a big sisterLOL I hate how the kids come good by the time they get seen, used to happen to mine all the time. Really ****ed me off lol, we would finally get the dr to see us and the child would be running around emerency Hope things are all ok and you don't need the meds.
Michelle- its amazing how quickly kids get bored isn't it? Not sure how well my mission will go, bythe looks of Josh's room it will be a joke, a huge disaster lol Josh ordered a brother when I was pg with Jess and was most upset that she was ANOTHER girl! He did ask would I have another so he could have a brother and I said what if you get another sister then there would be 4 of them, and he said well maybe we shouldn't worry lol
Arron and I went down the pub for a counter meal and gosh I feel so crap after sitting in the smokefilled bar...my throat feels all clogged and tight and I can smell it on my clothes. I LOL really cos I am an ex-smoker and one of the worst I just can't stand it one little bit. I didn't even want to go but Arron insisted, and you know the thing is we were sposed to go out tonight, I am hoping Arron doesn't wat to cos it is $45 a head and it's BYO, and a dress up too. Pretty dear really! Have to see. Arron wasn't even interested in sitting int he pub for long, there is nobody around, all YOUNG kids lol so we stayed for 1 drink only.
ok well better go
cheers Michelle

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY MATILDA!!!!
Hope you have a great day today. Enjoy your party and eat lots of cake!!!
Christy can you belive that it has been two years since the girls arrived??? I am sad in some ways but love the personality that she has developed and the little girl that she has become. She is certainly no longer our baby girl! Hope you hav a great day and that the weather is perfect for your picnic party!
Asha's birthday is tomorrow and we are having a party at home. I was going to have it at a local park but didn't trust the weather this time of year but as it turns out it is going to be a gorgeous day tomorrow! So we might even have the party outside ...
Going shopping for party stuff today and then making the cake tonight ... a Dora cake (surprise, surprise!) so that should be lots of fun!
Better go and get Jack ready for football ...glad its him running around in the cold this morning and not me!!!!
Cheers
-
Michelle, I was just wondering how you'd gone with quitting the other day. Congratulations on giving them away sucessfully!!!
-
Happy bithday Matilda, hope the party is lots of fun.
Happy birthday for tomorrow Asha same for you, the cake sounds gorgeous Kelly, are you another clever girl in the kitchen. I made 1 attempt at a no. 1 and failed miserably lol, I decided I will buy and decorate only lol
Dasch- thanks for the encouragement. I must say it was hard, but once I made the decision......I stuck to it, unlike some others in this house LOL. I gave up 24th Feb 2005, and though I will admit to having a coupleon 2 seperate occasions (social drinking things), I have managed to kick it so far. I don't plan to ever smoke again that's for sure, and I wish Arron could make the decision too cos he is a heavy smoker, where I was about medium, and has been soking since he was 15 so I am really scared for what is to come for him, esp since, 1 of my grandfathers died from emphysemia and the other lung cancer. Oh well unfortunately it has to be your decision for it to work.
I am home with just Jess atm, and she is in bed. Mum has my neice at her place so Jemma has gone to play with her, and Arron took the other 2 across the rd to watch Kilmore play footy. Looks like we are going to the ball tonight, much to my disappointment, and I will be the worst witch ever cos I don't even have a cape lol
i really thought arron was going to say it was too much esp since he was thinking that last night, but he went around to a mates who convinced him to go AARGH! Bugger.
I am thinking of mucking around with the sewing machine while I have quiet time. I was dreaming about sewing up these door names last night and it was really buggin me.
see ya
michelle
-
Happy Birthday Matilda! Hope you had a great day!!
-
AAARGH!!! I have been mucking around trying to make stufflol and discovered that the way I want to be able to sew isn't the way I can sew. I am trying to use a normal everyday sewing machine, I am ok at cushions lol. Now I understand why I have been hooking up other people who can sew things for me. To be fair to myself I am going from scratch not using a pattern or instructions so I guess that I am setting myself up for a fall lol, oh well I guess I will just pay my sewing ladies and keep practising. And the other things is I guess that the last time I really sewed was about 16 years ago, can't remember everything.
hugs michelle
-
Hi!! Thanks everyone for the Happy BIrthday wishes for my beautiful girl! I still can't believe it was 2 years ago... the first year felt like forever, but this past year has flown by.
We had a great day in the park & Matilda was very well behaved, I'm not totally sure she knew it was all about her, but when we sang Happy Birthday & I put the cake in front of her she blew out the candle!! So cute. I made a marble cake in a heart shape with pink icing & hundreds & thousands around the outside, I was so proud my cake worked out LOL. I should have some photos up in the next few days when things settle back down here. The IL's loved seeing her in her element in the park & playing with other kids so that was great.
The best time was at the end when DH packed the car & said, "why don't you go out for coffee with your friends & I'll put Matilda to bed" Woo Hoo!!
Happy Birthday Asha for tomorrow!!! I would love to see the Dora cake! I hope it works out well Kelly.
-
I don't know if I am allowed to put links in to photos or not but here is the photo fo the Dora cake that I made last night.
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v3...acakesmall.jpg
We have had a busy morning with all the unwrapping of a gazillion presents and then there is more to come. Better go have to clean the house and sort out the food.
Glad to hear Matilda had a great day! Asha so knows it is all about her LOL ... Asha's presents, Asha's cake, Asha's everything today! She even sang Happy Birthday to herself!!!
Cheers
-
Happy 2nd Birthday Asha. Enjoy your day Sweetie Pie.
You've done well with the cake Kelly, Even I can tell that it's Dora LOL (we don't have pay TV). Which reminds me, I haven't even thought about what cake to make for Paige, I will have to get the women's weekly out...
So cute that she knows it is her day.
Christy, I think your DH needs to give my DH comes tips LOL. I am so glad everything went well for Matilda's party.
-
I think it was because at 8.45am when we were supposed to be leaving in 15 minutes I had a freak out at him because I gave him a list to do in the morning & he still wasn't dressed & hadn't done most of it... so when he sent me out to coffee he said "sorry for dropping the ball this morning..." Nice!
-
Back again, i'm enjoying seeing everyones news - new babies are just the best aren't they!
Mitch4now - Our gorgeous girl Mackenzie Rose has just turned 2 on the 12th June. The time has just flown. She is a great kid, very good apart from the hitting and biting but we are managing thru that!
Must run, I'm selling my car and I need to go and get some new tyers on it. (bugger)
-
Yay Christy for Matilda's successful bday and super WTG on the coffee thing. I can only dream that would happen here lol
Good work on the cake Kelly, it looks great! Do you think Asha has abetter understanding cos of the bigger kids?
Good luck with the car selling Nikbrad
I am in so much pain, I have this stabbing pain in my chest, right about where my heart is, but I think it is muscular. My back is sore in the middle and it corresponds to the pain in the front. Not sure what to do, when I breathe in it hurts, like a knife in my heart. I think I should go to the bone crunchers. I have bad posture so I think that contributes, plus I spent Sat night dancing like a nut and maybe I put things out.
Well I guess I better go gotta get to the Post office bf it closes and I have to take everyone cos Arron is working late so not home yet
hugs to all
michelle
-
Michelle thaqt pain sounds just like the pain I get when my middle back goes out. I would recommend a trip to the Physio if you can ... and get it seen to. Mine doesn't click back in anymore and the pain is unbearable!!!! The first time it happened to me I thought I was having a heart attack and was going to die!!!
Hope you cen egt it sorted!
I do think the older two help Asha to understand things a lot better! She is pretty switched on (even if I do say so myself LOL) She got a new jigsaw puzzle for her birthday (she got 3 actually) but the one that she did yesterday, I helped her the first time and then she was able to do it herself! She knew where all the pieces went she just had a couple upside down or sideways but soon worked out what she needed to do to get them in. She will also be able to ride her bike in about a week I think ... she knows what she has to do from seeing the older kids ride their bikes!
Asha didn't sleep yesterday at all ... and for the first time ever took herself off to bed at 6pm and was alseep as soon as her head hit the pillow, which meant that she didn't get to speak to Grandpa in the UK as she was already asleep ... but the best news is that she slept straight through until 6.40am!!!! Think we might have to say good bye to day time sleeps. Don't know how happy day care will be about that!
Speaking of day care ... had better go get the munchkin and then pick the other two up from after school sport!
Cheers
-
mitch - hope your pain isnt too serious - could it also be from sitting at the sewing machine - i get a sore back though not a sharp pain from sitting sewing
glad everyone's little girls had fun 2nd birthdays - it is kind of sad they are growing up & such little people now
we made a trip to bris airport today - a friend i have known since i was a baby & is eliana's godmother was in bris on business so we went to have a quick lunch - she was amazed at how much eliana had grown in 8 months & looks so different from photos - my friend has 6 weeks to go in her pg & it made me soooooooooo clucky - no chance of that happening unless i find a sperm donor!!!!

Jo – I hope things have settled down now that your mum has gone home. It’s such a period of transition for them… I know he’ll figure out what’s going on and be cool about it soon. In the meantime, lots of hugs will get you through.
Theresa – IKWYM about the naughty corner! Charlie does exactly the same thing. If you find that magical ‘something else’ let me know, will you?! I hope you find out what the FTT is all about soon.
Mel – yay that Eliana’s shot went ok. Sounds like she’s doing really well weight/height wise. She’s about 3 cms taller than Charlie and the same weight, I think. Where does that put her on the scale? I don’t pay too much attention to them, but according to the one for boys Charlie is ‘short and fat’! Just the way I like ‘em.
Mooshie –sorry you haven’t been feeling well. Hope the sickness leaves your house soon and you guys are able to enjoy your holidays.
Mitch – thanks for posting on my blog. Sorry business is slow – I hope it picks up soon. GGGRRR at MIL. Whinge whenever you want – only DILs can understand how frustrating they can be! Sounds very annoying. My MIL really does have a kind heart, but she’s a bit eccentric and assumes a lot. For some reason she assumed that WE would make the trek over to her place yesterday, even though it would be much easier for her to come here (Toby is only 10 days old, after all). I’m going to start putting my foot down about this, I think. How is Aaron with his mum? Does he understand your frustration? Hope your pain goes away too – that sounds scary.
Dach – LOL at your boobs. I’m just the same – a bit of a cow. I hope that your two little darlings are going well. Maybe Yasin’s regression re: talking is just because Imran is here – I’ve heard that kids can regress in all kinds of ways when No. 2 comes along. I hope that’s all it is.
Kathryn – Can’t wait to see if it’s a pink or blue bubba. We were the same – I didn’t want to call Toby “It”. Good luck with the scan tomorrow.
Christy – belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Matilda! I can’t believe it’s been that long. And aren’t you clever making a marble cake? Hope you took some pics to prove how clever you are in years to come. I made a rocket ship for Charlie’s first birthday and it looked so good that I made everyone take photos of it! Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Go DH too! What a legend to make you go out for coffee. There should be more men like him! That croup scare sounds awful. I hope it doesn’t happen again, but that if it does they DIAGNOSE something this time. Scheesh.
Hello Nikki! Great to have you with us. Cute pic too.
Kelly – Happy Birthday to Asha too! Wow, 2 years goes so fast. Before you know it we’ll be 50 and our kids will be having kids! Scary stuff. I hope that you all had a fabulous day. Clever Asha with the puzzles too – it’s when they’re able to do puzzles and things that they weren’t ever able to do before that you realise how smart they’re getting.
Had a bit of a bad day yesterday. DH and I were both a bit over it all, and I was feeling a bit down about Charlie. I know he’s just a little fella and he doesn’t know what he’s doing, but he’s been really grizzly since I came home and while I totally understand that it must be hard for him atm too it can be really frustrating when both of them are grizzling at the same time! Usually it doesn’t bother me too much but yesterday I was fed up. I don’t know how other mums with more than one feel about this, but I have been feeling a bit disconnected from him since I had Toby. I think it’s because I have to spend so much time feeding Toby and doing the other baby stuff that I haven’t had time to play with Charlie much. Also, I can’t run around with him too much or I’ll hurt myself (it’s only been 10 days after all). I know we’ll get back there, but I feel like a phase in our time together is over and we won’t get it back. He’s been pretty good considering everything that’s happened lately, but I miss him and get frustrated by him at the same time! Ah, the emotional rollercoaster that is parenthood… I’m sure things will be fine. Had the first week check up with Toby today and all is good. He’s put on weight, so I’m happy. Poor little Charlie had to have some immunisations too – I left them really late so he’s now at an age where he knows what’s going on. My advice – get them done on time while the bubs are still little and don’t know what’s coming… it’s awful! He screamed so much and needed lots of cuddles. Poor thing.
Anyway, an early night with a book beckons. Hope you’re all doing really well. Big hugs to all who need them (which is probably everyone, including me!) and kisses to your beautiful darlings

Hi everyone I am so slack about posting lately
Kellee OMG I didn't know you had your baby! Congratulations! I know what you mean about feeling a bit disconnected from Charlie. For the most part you can't help it because you have a newborn who needs much more of your time. I know it can feel strange because it's not just the two of you anymore, I felt the same after I had Grace and I felt like I lost that closeness with Harry because it wasn't just him anymore, but as Grace got older everything got easier and Harry and I still have a special connection, which you will still have with Charlie. It's just that right now Toby needs more of your time but will level out.
Well not much of interest happening here! Grace has turned into a real tanty thrower, but mainly when she is tired so a nap usually improves her mood. She also loves to say 'no'! I still see her as my baby even though she is growing up so much and talking so much.
Happy Birthday to all the recent 2 year olds!
-
Kelly- I think my pain was exactly what you said, it is lessened today and hopefully fully gone tomorrow. I have been sitting on the floor most nights with the laptop so you can see where the pain would be from that. Asha sounds very clever too.
Mel- the lunch sounds nice, it is always a huge change when you don't see a little one for months. Eliana sounds fit and healthy.
Kellee- hugs to you, things do change when no. 2 arrives but you will find as Toby gets a bit older you will find more time to spend with Charlie. When You are feeding less often you will have more time for one on one time for you.
Dasch- Jordan was 5 when Josh arrived and she reverted to baby talk so it is a very common thing I think.
Bon- how are you feeling atm! Almost halfway there now. IKWYM about the tanty's Jess is good at them too. Mostly when she is tired as well, but also about trying to tell me something that I don't understand, or trying to get my attention when I am doing something. She too is talking heaps, 3 or 4 word sentences sometimes. Helps to have 5 role modes I reckon.
Anyway had a mostly productive day, vacced and mopped and washing as I always do. Kids were relatively well behaved and spent some time tidying there rooms. I am about to cook pasta for tea, and Arron is working so it will be all up to me to get everyone in bed tonight.
Hi to everybody else
Michelle
-
just a quick question - will get back to personals tomorrow as my brother will be using my computer plus survivor is on later :o)
do any of you give your littlies todder gold formula - eliana isnt into eating vegies & very rarely fruit - no matter how i try & hide it in food she picks it out - i just worry she isnt getting all the nutrients she needs & saw an ad on tv for toddler gold & was wondering if i should start her on it - i know she is fit & healthy but i dont want her to be missing out on any vitamins she should be having
thanks for your help
-
I think Michelle had a problem with her MCHN and this if I remember. The problem with these supplements from what I understand is that they fill the kiddies up and so threy have no need to eat if I remember rightly. Maybe you can look at some other form of vitamin supplement for her, maybe ask a chemist or your dr if you are worried, or even the MCHN see what they say. Personaly I have never used anything like that and if Eliana is thriving you probably don't need to worry Mel.
best wishes michelle
-
thanks michelle - i have thought more about it since posting & will speak to a dr if she starts to look poorly but at this stage she is thriving
not sure if everyone reads all the posts but i just read that tegan's mum passed away - huge hugs to her & her family
-
Oh dear that is so sad, my heart goes out to Tegan and Jacob and Lily. Tegan we are thinking of you and are here if you need us. HUGE HUIGS
-
just quickly popping in, i need to go to volleyball
mel - don't give eliana toddler milk whatsoever, if anything it will make her appetite worse believe me, i had nothing but trouble with it. my mchn pushed it down my throat and my gp was disgusted. in is very sweet and gave lani a terrible sweettooth. look to be honest lani survives on air, milk and cheesespread sandwhiches oh and may a bit of apple if i'm lucky, i am actually considering putting her on a multi like pentavite or something. ds has been on mult vitamins since about 3yrs of age and it really improved his appetite - he is now a huge eater and complains if he doesn't have enough vegies. he still has a vitamin every morning with breakfast just to give him an extra boost.
anyway they are just my thoughts on toddler milk i know christy gives it to matilda as matilda can't drink milk, and i don't think she has a problem with it, however i think for a child that is a fussy eater to start with it may make it worse - totally just my opinion tho.
good luck - gotta go get ready - hi to everyone else and yes so so sad about tegans mum
-
Tegan whether you read this or not, I am so sorry to hear about your Mum. Lots of thoughts all the way from Melbourne to you and your wonderful family.
Sorry I haven't been in much, really into this TTC #2 business and after feeling what I thought were great symptoms, getting AF was a real let down. Even if it was our first month it is still... frustrating. To top it off AF has been CRUEL.
Sorry girls thats all from me, Aidan has a nasty cold and all my energy (what I have left as I also have a cold!) is lots of Mummy love to get him better quickly.
-
Chin up Jess it's never fair when AF comes and we want something better. Hope it happens soon, and that AF isn't such a witch all the way through.
-
hi everyone
we won volleyball yay
jess ttc is just so hard sometimes - af has arrived for me tonight, so that means i am going into 12mths of ttc - i have given away charting and everything and just trying to relax but it does get to you month after month
hopefully july will be lucky for us.

Just a quicky from me. I'm off to QLD for about a week tomorrow and I think I only have dial-up there.
I give Yasin the karicare toddler milk not the vanilla toddler gold so its not as sweet. He gets it for his night time bottle but during the day he just gets normal milk. He's such a skinny little thing and sometimes seems to live on air so I figure that if he gets it at night it can't ruin his appetite and at least he's getting some nutrition.
We have lots of tanties round here too and that's just DH lol. Yasin is really wanting to be independant and do everything himself even when he can't quite manage which causes lots of angst. At the moment he won't even take food from our hands - we have to put it on the plate in front of him. We were shopping today and I was a bit peckish so I got some hot chips from Oportos to share with him - he insisted on getting a handful of chips and putting them in front of him rather than just sharing from the one pile lol.
Kellee, IKWYM about feeling a bit disconnected. I felt like that too but after a while it passed. Does Charlie suddenly seem really big? The day before I had Imran Yasin still seemed tiny but after Imran was born he suddenly seemed so much bigger. Imran has started getting heaps more sociable lately and now him and Yasin sometimes share a bit of a laugh. Its so cute.
Tegan, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum :hugs:.
Its past midnight and I still haven't packed and I have about 3 loads of washing to do and put through the dryer. I really should stop procrastinating.

Have a great time away Dasch. I can understand the food thing, Jess will not be fed, not by anybody, and not anything, unless it is my food and she wants some. MIL and SIL just won't be told though and insist on trying to feed her and of course as they are interferring she eats even less than normal.
Hope you got away alright, I am very jealous lol
I am doing the usual today, trying to survive the hols, kids are doing their thing, pencils are covering the loune room floor but what do you expect. I am not stressing, will wait til laterand they can pick them up. They want to constantly eat especially Jemma atm. Driving me crazy!!!
michelle- yay at the win, and good luck for this coming month ttc,
-
mooshie - thanks about the toddler milk - i do remember now about you posting about it - i guess sometimes i see something on tv & try to overcompensate on things with eliana as i dont want her to miss out but that's mainly cause im on my own - yay you won volleyball
jess - hope aidan's cold is a little bit better - sad when they are sick - good luck with TTC #2
dach - have a great time up here - bring some warm clothes though cause its been cold & not sure where you are going but its been raining here since the weekend - i feel like im in melb! thanks for the reply about the milk - if eliana drank milk before bed i wold consider it but think ill look into vitamins - how cute of yasin with imran - will be great when they are old enough to play together & hopefully not fight too much!
mitch - thanks to you too for your reply on milk - i just think sometimes eliana is surviving on the same old food & wonder if i can offer her more but dont want to get her hooked onto anything - glad you are surviving the hols - i have my 15month old nephew here tomorrow so no doubt between the two of them i will be cleaning up for hours after - he is into everything!!!!
kellee- hope things are better between you & charlie - must be hard adjusting to be a mum of two though im sure with time it gets easier
jo - hope you are having fun with your two
its another rainy cold day here - makes it hard to do stuff - at least yesterday i got eliana outside for awhile though it was windy & she disappeared into the chook pen with the dog - she also played with the little girl in the main house here (she is 10days older than eliana) & eliana was taking her hand & leading her around everywhere - it was so cute - i have spent most of the day finally burning all my photos to cds before i loose them all - didnt realise it was going to take so long - have my mum coming over later to dye my hair - my hair cost too much at a salon to do cause it is so long
hope everyone is having a great day & that all the bubba's are behaving
-
MEl- thats what I need to do, get my hair done. I must ring the girl who did it last time, she comes to the house. I am a bit ****ty with her over an issue that really has nothing directly to do with me, lol she did my gfs hair for her wedding and kept chnging the price and was just not honest at all, so I wasn't going to get her again but I am desperate lol, plus she did a crappy job on Jordans hair and on Joshuas too, but I don't have enough money to pay the hairdresser.
oh well, lunch time Jemma is being a pain gotta go

Firstly, Tegan – I’m so sorry to hear about your Mum. I’m thinking of you and your family and sending you lots of hugs. If there's anything we can do, or if you need to chat about it, let us know.
Bon – thanks for the encouragement. I know it will get easier with time and I shouldn’t complain. Things will get better. LOL at the tanties – yes, this is a fun age, isn’t it?! Hope she gets over them soon… but probably won’t until she’s about 20! Ah, it’s fun, isn’t it?!
Mitch – hope your pain is gone away, or that you feel better soon. How on earth do you manage to get four in bed on your own? I’m struggling with two (DH had a rehearsal last night and I had to get Mum to come over and help). You’re a legend.
Jessica – right, we need to tell that witch that she is banished from your house for at least a year! Hope next time you have more luck. I know that it really sucks when she arrives when you’re ttc. Hang in there. Sorry that Aidan isn’t feeling well.
Mooshie – aagghh for af. She’s such a *****, isn’t she?! Better luck next month. Yay for winning volleyball too!
Dach – have a great time in QLD. Hope the weather fines up for you – it sucks at the moment. Yes, Charlie DOES suddenly seem really big! I guess I have to remind myself that he is still so little and not expect too much of him. Glad that Imran and Yasin are having fun together.
Mel – IKWYM about the weather. It’s driving me crazy! The two girls sound so cute together. Hope you’ve got all your photos sorted out – it takes ages, doesn’t it? You’ve reminded me that I wanted to do my hair too… ah, but finding the time is another thing entirely!
DH has an SDO today, which is nice. We’re both a bit weary because Toby had incredible wind pain last night (well, about 5 am) and wouldn’t settle. Finally he did and both boys let us sleep in until 9am though, which was nice. Toby has been having a bit of trouble settling lately – I hope it’s just a phase because he’s usually really good. At least he’s still good at night, which is the main thing – feed and straight back to sleep unless something’s wrong. Charlie is doing ok, although yesterday in the car Toby was screaming, so Charlie started screaming too. Mum was there too and was upset by it so tried to soothe Toby by rocking the car seat. For some reason that just made me more frustrated – there’s nothing you can do in that situation, doing that only makes yourself feel better, not the baby, so what’s the point?! Ah, just taking each day as it comes atm. What’s everyone got planned for the weekend? We’re having a relaxing Saturday and then DH has a concert at Maleny on Sunday, so that should be nice. It will be the first occasion when we take both the boys out in public (except for shopping yesterday with Mum, which was a nightmare!), and I’ll be having to look after them for a fair while on my own too because DH will be soundchecking and warming up, and then performing, so I hope it all goes ok! Anyway, have a rad weekend if I don’t get on here before then. Big hugs to you and your bubs.

Thought I must have dropped off the notifications for this one, but no, we're all just quiet! Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.
-
LOL Kellee a few birthdays around & yep we're quiet ;) I had to work this weekend & then DH & I have just been looking at cars.... URGH! I hate big decisions and so does DH. But Matilda was hilarious running around the car yards climbing in all the cars LOL. Kept everyone on their toes. We haven't found anything yet. We are looking for a bigger car as ours won't fit 2 car seats & a pram in without a fight, and I don't want to have to deal with 2 children & fighting a pram just to get into the car. Plus our car is almost 9 years old and falling apart. So... we were looking at toyota corolla wagons and had a look at a suburu forrester today. All okay cars, just wish we had another $20,000 to get something newer & very reliable. I would love a PT Cruiser and we saw one today & it will fit the pram & 3 car seats in, aw well.... another $20,000 is all we need LOL
I've got a sinus infection atm & am pretty miserable but other than that things are all going well here. Matilda keeps putting her party hats on & saying "I turned 2!" very very cute.
Mel & Mooshie - yep it was me that has Matilda on toddler's milk because she isn't good on milk. I only give it at bed time and nap time too, not as part of a meal or before meals or anything. It doesn't seem to affect her appetite, but some days she's better than others. Some days like today she'll eat anything put in front of her & other days she survives on vegemite sandwiches and we are okay with that too.
