hey girls
yep queit again, comes and goes doesn't it?
Christy hoiw cute is Matilda and pmsl at herin a car yard. Give them something to do lol Hope you get a good car, you never quite have the money that you want do you? Did I hear 3 car seats in the last part? Is that a plan?lol
Kellee- hope you are enjoying your weekend and getting some sleep.
I was up till 2am chatting on msn to a friend last night lol house was trashed as arron put Jess to bed when I went to a body shop party last night and let the other 3 trash the place while he slept on the couch. So spent the ,morning cleaning and the arvo sewing, Arron took 2 kids to his mums, 1 to the footy and Jess was in bed asleep. So it was a productive arvo and a quiet one too. He has booted off back to the footy club now to try and organise us visiting a friends but honestly I really don't feel like going anywhere. But he will orgnise it anyway. Jess has stripped all her clothes off and is running around the house in odd gumboots lol, I think her skirt slipped off and then she got her top wet with her drink and so took that off too. She went to the toilet all day on Thursday I was home doing nothing so let her run around pantsless and she only had 1 small accident trying to go to the toilet by herself. So that sounds all good, won't be long bf she is toilet trained in the day I'd say, better buy her some undies lol, they will fall off her she is sotiny, just 11 kgs I think. And speaking of immunisations, I have to take her for her chicken pox, will do that when the kids go back to school.
anyway I am hoping to get to Target tomorrow to layby some stuff and maybe big w too
have a good one
michelle
-
LOL Michelle over my DH's body would we be having 3!!! WOW Jess is going so well with TT!! I'm so not even game to start, I think I'd better get a book or something because Matilda truely loves the toilet. She's a bit thin so I haven't been able to find any undies for her, but Big W is a good idea, may have to venture out LOL
-
lol Christy, maybe in a few years when the first 2 are big you might go back lol. My 1st 2 didn't TT till 2 and a half, but Jemma started herslef at 19 mths and was day trained by 22 mths. She just would take her nappy off and say she needed to go, so I let her run around pantless and it happened. Jess is exactly the same, she is 21 mths now almost 22 mths and she is just doing it herself really, I just gettold when she needs to do wees and I take her and that is that. I think having everybody else going to the toilet makes it easier. Jess is the same I amsure the undies won't fit her lol, I used to have tiny pairs when Jordan was little but gave them to my cousin and never saw them again.
-
michelle - yeah getting the simple things done like your hair is a big deal - the colour ended up a lot darker its kind of black with red through it but it will fade in time, i also decided to cut my hair & cut layers into & it doesnt look too bad - lucky my hair is naturally curly so it doesnt look crooked? bummer you had to clean up the mess but at least you have had a productive day
kelle - hope toby hasnt had anymore wind probs - poor little guy - how is charlie going now that toby has been around for a bit - hope you have a great day at maleny & that it stops raining - ive had enough of being inside
christy - lol at matilda in the car yard at least she got to run around - car shopping is no fun so i hope you get what you want - how cute of matilda saying she turned 2 you will have to teach her say she's going to be a big sister - hope your sinuses are better
we had a busy day thursday - my 16month old nephew came for the day & he is full on though he was good & eliana & him are so cute together - i got them organised to go out for a walk in between it raining (was borrowing the double pram from the family in the main house) but only got as far as the road before it poured but the kids were happy enough watching the rain from the garage! at least my sil helps tidy the toys up - today old family friends were up from sydney so we went to my parents - it was good to catch up & for them to see eliana again - she charmed all of them & then went crazy when he cousins arrived - eliana's dad was waiting her for us when we got home so she was happy to see him with a huge (& i mean huge) soft toy dog - will prob go to the movies tomorrow as i have a free double pass - i want to see that jennifer aniston movie
hope everyone else's weekend is going well
-
Christy – oh yuck, car hunting. That’s always a scary thing to do. We’ve got a ’93 Holden Apollo s/wagon and it’s great. They are the same as the wide body Toyota Camries, so I can highly recommend them. We’ve never had a major problem with it since we bought it just before I accidentally fell pg with Charlie – just as well or we would have been trying to fit two car seats and a pram in my old clapped out ’89 Mitsubishi Colt! Sorry you’re not feeling very well atm. Hope it passes soon. Can you take much for it? I would imagine that you just have to ride it out being pg and all. Bubbas have no idea what we go through for them! Matilda sounds very cute with her hat, too.
Mitch – 2 am?! You crazy woman. You’re always on here when I’m on late at night… you should be getting some sleep! Yay for Jess with the tt too – sounds like she’s going great guns. Hope you go well with the shopping.
Mel – It’s great that Eliana has a cousin so close in age. Charlie and Toby are the only grandchildren on either side, so they’ll have to make do with each other for now. Damn the rain too! I’ve been wanting to go walking all week and every time I go to it rains. Getting very annoyed now. I know I should put the concerns of the drought-stricken nation before my own vain weight loss concerns, but I want to go for a walk, damn it! Sounds like you’ve had a lovely few days with your family too. Enjoy the movies… I can’t remember the last time I went to the movies!
Dinner was great. Had a lovely dinner with a friend of mine who offered to come around and cook for us and watched a DVD with crazy gypsy musicians on it. Really made me want to go and play some music, but, alas, the piano is up against the wall adjacent to Charlie’s room and he’s asleep, do I don’t think that will be happening! I really feel like I need to get back into practicing again – even 30 minutes 3 or 4 times a week would be good but finding that kind of time at the piano is beyond comprehension at the moment. * sigh * Oh well. One day! Just killing time waiting for Toby to wake up for his next feed – shouldn’t be too long now but I don’t want to wake him… I hate doing that. I bet that he’ll sleep for hours now that I’ve decided to wait up, but if I went to bed he’s wake up two minutes later! Have a lovely Sunday, everyone
-
lol Kellee I am on here again now. I actualy am basically logged in all day and come and go as need be. Have you considered just walking in the rain, if you get desperate may be the only way, although I am guessing you aren't going alone! Do you have to take the boys when you go? Jordan was the only grandkid for a long time, almost 5 years, was not good as too much got brought for her ad not many people to play with. My ocusin had a little girl when Jordan was 2 but we didn't really see her and then my other cousin had a little girl 2 mths after Josh and we saw them all the time, it was great. She had another 12 mths bf Jemma, but sadly they live over 2 hrs away now and thekids dont see them, they miss them heaps. My niece is Jemma's age so it is nice. But my brother won't be having anymore I would say, not for a long while anyway and my sister.....who knows se is a total stress head and lives in Canberra anyway so we prob wouldn't see them. *sigh* and I was going to be a really cool aunty too.
Mel sounds like the rain walking was fun to me, bet the kids thought so too.
cheers michelle

Do you girls ever sleep??!! ;)
I am still sick, very sore throat, and after Aidan recovered from the cold, he caught a gastro bug which has been horrible. I hope he is better tomorrow. I have a job interview (scary) and I don't want to feel bad leaving him and worrying about him while I am there. Nothing worse than your mind being somewhere else!
Thanks for all the TTC support, I am just too impatient! Let's hope it will happen for us soon.
Hi to everyone and their beautiful bubs!
-
Hey Jessica. If you're like me, as much as you want another baby - as soon as you see that BFP - you will say "what the heck am I doing this again for" LOL. I really hope you get your BFP soon though.
As for me, it is Paiges 2nd birthday tomorrow and I am about to start decorating her cake. I picked out a butterfly from my Women's Weekly cake books and it looks easy enough LOL. I just can't believe she is 2 already. By the time the other two were this age, I had a 4 month old baby, so they seemed really grown up by now, but Paige is still my baby IYKWIM?
Oh well, off to decorate a cake...
-
Hey Jess good luck witht he interview....what is sleep by the way?? LOL I actually don't need much sleep, just the way I am, like my dad. It is hard not to be impatient when ttc, hope it happens soon. And hope you feel better and poor Aidan too, gastro is the pits.
Well all the kids except Jess went to the movies with my mum to see Over the hedge today. So Jess slept for ahile and I had free time, but it wasn't very productive, a gf and her 2 boys are vcoming for lunch tomorrow so I will need to fire up in the morning and have it all tidied up bf they come, plus I need to get down to buy lunch stuff inthe morning, nothing like being flat out.
Good luck with your cake making Sherie I bet it will be yummy!
Anyway better run
-
Hey Sherie IKWYM about the baby thing. Jess is going to be 2 on the2nd sept and it is almost surreal, esp since she is so timy, she is now completely grown out of sz 0 clothes and into size ones lol. Today was her first day of wearing little undies, and she had an accident trying to take herself to the toilet and did wee on the floor of my ensuite and forgot the poohs and did it in them later. But all in all she is a superstar lol
I hope Paige has a lovely birthday tomorrow.
hugs Michelle
-
Jessica – you poor thing being sick, and poor Aidan getting sick again!
Sherie – Happy Birthday to Paige! Hope you went ok with the cake – sometimes those ones are deceptively difficult. I hope you both had a lovely day – what present did you get her? I’m thinking ahead about what to get for Charlie in August.
Mitch – wow, Jess must be little to only be on 0s now! I wish I could meet her – she sounds so cute! You guys are coming up this way sometime next year, aren’t you? We’ll have to meet up again. Sounds like she’s going great guns with the tt. She’ll have to give Charlie some tips when I work up the courage to try it with him!
Does anyone know how I would go about finding a playgroup? I think I need to find one – I have had a couple of issues with some so called ‘friends’ recently who treat me like a second class citizen now that I’m a SAHM. At Tom’s gig the other day one of the girls (who I usually get on with really well) was really rude – she chose to bring up over lunch the fact that she doesn’t really like babies, and this was with me, Charlie, Toby and another woman who had her 7 week old there. A few other comments she made and the way she treated me made me feel like I’m not important now. It made me feel so bad because I was really looking forward to having a social outing with these guys. I think I need to start socialising with people who think that having kids is as important as I think it is. Have you guys ever felt the same way? I figured you’d understand!
Poor Charlie – he’s got a little bit of a fever, AND he’s been waking up through the night when Toby does lately. He didn’t for the first two weeks, but now he screams out at night when Toby does. We don’t really know what to do – we don’t want to go in there because he needs to learn that Toby crying is normal and we also don’t want to wake Charlie up more by going in to him. It’s horrible though because I just want to go and give him a cuddle. When it happens through the day it’s not so bad because we can explain to Charlie what’s happening, but at night there’s not much we can do. I hope this phase doesn’t last long! It’s also hard because we don’t want to ‘rush’ in every time Toby cries and we feel like we have to so we don’t wake Charlie up. * sigh * Apart from that, though, things are going really well here. I hope those who are ttc have some luck soon – it’s good having them this far apart, and I think they’ll be great mates in a few months’ time.
Anyway, I think an early night is the key tonight. Hope you are all having a lovely week.
-
Happy birthday Paige!!! hope she had a ;lovely day Sherie
Kellee- what a shame you didn't have a good time cos of that girl. I think big gaps can open up in friendships when big life changes accur and you do grow apart from some people. I was a mum at 19 so as you can imagine most of the girls I went to high school with had no idea what my life was like and couldn't relate to me. I felt very out of it, especially in the footy club circle, the girls seemed to go out of their way to be rude and *****y. Of course of the next few years as they started having kids there priorities changed but by that time it was too late anyway. Does the MCHN have mothers group/playgroups? I have never really been to anything like that, once I took Jodan to a playgroup but as most of he mums were late 20's early 30's and I was 21 I didn't really fit in. I hope you can find someone who can be a support to you. We are going to Mackay and then down to the goldcoast at the end of April, it would be lovely to organise a meet up while we are there. We are planning a week on the gold coast, thinking of staying at Ashmore Palms? How far is it from Brisbane to the gold coast? I hope you sort out poor Charlie and his waking up, I don't really know how to help as we have never had that prolem, none of my kids have ever been woken by the others. I think not going in is good and eventually they will both self settle.
Had a gf and her boys over for lunch today and we talked sewing lol Then met up with my cousins kids and thier dad and his gf for dinner at a smogasboard place, it was a great meal and yummy dessert but I ate too much and had awful stomach pains. My cousins and her ex live so far apart now and we never see the kids. My kids mss them so much so it was excellent to see them. I think I confused the wording bf too, Jessica has just gone froma sz0 to a sz 1 lol, still little though, and now lots of the sz 1 clothes are too young for her iykwim.
anyway best get going
see ya

Hiya girls!
Thought I should pop in... I swear I havent come in here for almost a year!!
Aidyn is doing really well, loving daycare (2 days a week whilst I'm at uni), loves zooming around on his trike, LOVES his cars and trains... but he still isn't speaking much at all... I must get that appt booked with the MCHN to have a chat and check his hearing (although I'm pretty sure that it is fine).
Yesterday DP and I went down to the local oval to get some soccer practise (DP has just joined a soccer team), and Aidyn thought it was hilarious, he was running around us the whole time, and he ended up getting so buggered that he would run a few metres, drop to the ground and rest for 10 secs, then get up and go a few more metres, then drop again. It was very funny... but good excercise for everyone, so we are going to keep it up a few times a week.
Kellee - I'm sorry your 'friends' were so rude to you :( When they have kids of their own they will soon realise....
You are so very welcome to come for a visit here with your boys if you ever want to.
Anyway I have to get ready for gym now, will pop back on later!
-
Hi Girls!
Paige had a great day. She certainly knew it was all about her too LOL. The cake even looked just like the one in the book so I was stoked about that! We gave her a Little People aeroplane (which she just loves), a little tikes dance mat, a Fifi and the Flowertots beanie, and a talking Peppa Pig. My Mum got her a pink mini Razor scooter with the three wheels on it for balance and she looks so funny on it because she goes so slow. She also got $20 for her piggy bank.
Kellee, can you ask your MCHN about playgroups/mothers groups? or even at the hospital. It is a bit disheartening when you have to defend yourself to your friends about staying at home. I am at a total loss as to how to help with Charlie. I am sure he will get used to Toby's cries soon and will settle down.
Michelle, LOL about the undies. Paige is really tall and skinny and doesn't have much of a bum, so when she is side on, you can see right through the leg holes. She likes to put them on late in the afternoon, which works well because thats only 1/2hr off bathtime. Paige is in a size two for everything because of her height, but the waists are usually really big for her. Jess must look adorable being little.
Hi Ambah, enjoy the gym.
-
Wow Ambah so nice to see you, you'll have to make it a more regular occurence. LOL at the soccer practise, Sounds like Aidyn had a ball. How is your uni course going, it so so good that you went back. Take heart my Joshua ddn't really talk much until after he was 2.
Sherie- thats exactly how Jess' undies look. SO glad the cake was a success and sounds like an excellent bday. Josh's bday is the 14th of July then there are 3 other family members bdays and then Jess', she is already singing the bday song, and will blow after Hip hooray for the candles lol She is getting the Loving Family fisher Price Dollshouse for her bday.
Jordan has a friend over today, Josh will prob go play with the neghbours grandson this arvo. I have a bit of tidying to do and then some sewing. Finally got into my office and moved the filing cabinet into the wardobe. It was in front of the window and blocking the light. The room looks lovely all tidy lol, not sure how long it will stay like that though. I need to go buy some boxes for receipts and soon, cos they are getting put everywhere, I have a box of Arrons business receipts to sort too, 8 years worth, *sigh* wish I had of thought more about that lol, although they aren't all mixed, but will still take a little while to do. My aim is to get my tax stuff together early this year so that we get our return and can pay for our flights and stuff to Qld next year.
have a good day everyone
michelle
-
Sounds like she had a wonderful day Sherie! She scored well LOL, and awww at the talking Peppa pig (I think that show is SO cute, LOL!)
Yay @ your tidy office Michelle, do you want to come and do ours now? ;)
Goodluck with getting all your tax stuff together... I'm dreading ours as it is, but with your businesses etc yours must be so much more complicated!!
-
Kellee if you google playgroups australia thier website should come up with a list of local playgroups or you could ask you ECHN.
-
sherie
glad paige had a nice day - omg a talking pepper pig - where did you get one of those, never seen them before, lani just adores pepper pig - i think i need to get one for her birthday lol
hi to everyone else will pop back later with personals, things to do whilst house is quiet and i really can't sit on bb all day now can i lol
take care
-
Hey Mooshie, I got the Peppa Pig from the ABC online shop. It was only $19.95 too. They had a heap of other Peppa Pig merchandise too.
-
Ambah – hi! Wow, it has been a while, hasn’t it? Hope you’re able to come on here more often – I know it’s hard when you’re studying though. How is it going?… LOL at Aidyn with the running too! I bet he slept well that night.
Sherie – So glad to see that Paige had a lovely day and that the cake turned out well. I had to laugh at how big Paige’s undies are – that sounds really funny!
Mitch – tax, YUCK. Don’t remind me – I need to get onto mine too or we will be 9 months late like we were last year. Have to update all the Centrelink stuff too. Paperwork sucks. Glad you had a bit of a tidy out – hope it stays like that for a while!
Dach – thanks for the tip about playgroups. Just gotta stop being such a ‘fraidy cat and do it now!
Not much to report. Just had a lovely sleep with Toby – bugger I don’t get to do it more often. I feel like I don’t get much time to spend doing anything nice with either of the kids at the moment but when DH starts holidays on Friday I will endeavour to have more one on one time with them. And with DH too – I feel like I haven’t been able to have a proper conversation with him for weeks! Ah, it’s all fun, isn’t it? Went for a big walk and took Charlie to the park today – it felt really good to get out of the house. I’m trying to lose this extra weight too because I have to be bridesmaid at my brother’s wedding in October – I have lost all the ‘baby weight’ and now I just have the icecream and chocolate weight to lose! I probably need to lose about 12 kgs to be normal again – I think that’s doable. I hope!
Anyway, almost dinner time. Have a lovely Friday, everyone.
-
just a quick hi - we have been away since wednesday staying at exDP's mum's place so it is nice to be looked after & not have to think what is for dinner - we went to the baby & kids expo today & eliana loved seeing bananas in pyjamas - we've had a busy few days with shopping etc & will head back home probably on sunday (eliana's dad is coming to see her tomorrow)
will catch up on personals when i get back
-
hi everyone
big sigh of relief - pheww school holidays are just about over and i am ready now for ds to go back to school on monday lol. they are starting to get on each others nerves and bedtimes, naptimes have been all around the shop.
lani seems to be going through another clingy stage and keeps wanting to be picked up whilst i am cooking dinner just so she can look what is on the bench - she also runs to the pantry every 5 minutes pointing to the top shelf shouting chocky bikkie chocky bikie and if i don't listen to her she stamps her feet - oh joy she is going to be a lovely hormonal teenager pmsl.
i think she is cutting her 2yr old molars, probalby that is why she is so clingy her cheeks are rosy red - looks like the kids on the vegemite ads lol, dribbling heaps and sticking her fingers right down the back of her gums - oh i can't wait until they come through. jay on the other hand is whinging every time he eats cause it hurts his loose teeth, i gave him a toffee apple to chew into it to help the teeth fall out but he just licked it lol, he has lost 4 teeth now and his top 2 teeth are soooooooo wobbly omg he is gunna look so cute with the top two teeth missing.
sorry for the lack of personals - will try and keep up with my posting, trying not to focus on the ttc anymore and quite frankly after the last few days having another child is the furthest thing on my mind, but i know that will change in a few days lol.
have a great weekend
-
Hello girls!
Just catching up on what everyone has been up to.
Kellee - congrats on the birth of Toby! I totally missed that as I have not been in here for a while.
All well here. Wolf is a little chatterbox. It's amazing how much he talks and in two languages as well. I never thought I'd be able to communicate with him so well at only 19 months.
Hey - Wolf still only has 6 teeth... anyone else a really late teether in here??
Snowy
-
Yep Snowgirl, my three were all late teethers. I wonder though if by getting them late that they lose them later than other kids too?
-
Hey girls just a flynig post, gotta go to a clothes party and then another an hr and a half later. Bugger them being on the same day and cash only so will be getting nothing lol, but need to make an appearence.
Sherie- did ABC online have Fifi stuff too, my girls LOVE Fifi so much!
will catch up later
Hi Everyone
michelle
-
Hello girls, sorry I have been absent for a while, I only get so far through reading the posts and I have to go and deal with one of the kids, my BB time is suffering! DH is still on holidays too, he goes back to work next week, so I will be able to get online a bit more then without feeling like I'm neglecting him!
Things are going pretty well now. I think last post I was saying about how much trouble Kaleb was having adjusting to the baby, but it turned out the next day he was really sick which was probably more the reason he was playing up. He'd been vomiting and coughing etc, then one night after his bath he came up in a very strange rash that we couldn't identify. I rang the child health line and was told it was hives and to rush him to the dr or hospital to get an antihistamine incase it blocked his airways. Talk about a mad panic, 7pm on a Sunday night! DH took him to a medical centre and it turned out to be a harmless post-viral rash, but it hung around for a week or so. He is all better now, and is quite good around Freya, except for when she is crying when he gets a bit panicky.
Sorry for lack of personals today, I will make up for it next time! Hope everyone is well!
-
Hey Michelle, they did have other Fifi stuff. They have DVD's, play dough sets, jigsaw puzzles and a memory game. The Fif beanie I got for Paige came from there too and is really warm, it's knitted on the outside and polar fleece lined on the inside.
Jo, don't worry about the personals - we've all BTDT LOL. I am pleased little Freya is settling in for you. Kaleb will get used to all her little noises in no time.
-
Mel – wow, it’s so great that you get on so well with XDP and his family. It must make it so much easier for everyone, especially Eliana. Damn, I forgot the expo was on today! I would have gone myself. Oh well, I think there are a few different kinds that come around through the year – I think there’s another one in September. Hope you’re having a nice time down here.
Mooshie – yeah, it must be tough with both of them home and routines being changed. Hope you make it through to Monday in one piece! LOL at imagining Lani as a teenager. That’s one good thing about having two boys – hopefully they won’t be as hormonal and nasty as I was! Hope the molars come through soon and that DS loses his teeth soon. Does he still believe in the tooth fairy? I remember when I was about his age the tooth fairy left this tiny insy winsy little note about double the size of a postage stamp. I treasured it so much.
Snowy – long time no write! Hope all is well with you guys. Which other language does Wolf speak? That must be so cute!
Jo – we understand the absence, don’t worry! You must have your hands full. Poor little Kaleb, but I’m glad it was nothing serious. Does Kaleb cry when Freya does? Charlie has been when Toby does and it’s been driving me crazy – it’s not really a cry, more of a scream which is sometimes obviously only done for attention. Sometimes he’s genuinely upset, but the other times… * sigh * Hope everything is going well with you – how’s your recovery going?
DH is finally on holidays… YAY! It’s really nice to have him around. He’s starting to bond really well with Toby too, which is great – he had an instant connection with Charlie but he had so many concerns about how we were going to handle two, and whether I was going to get PND that he took a while to bond with Toby, but all is good now. Charlie is going to love having his dad home too. We’re going to try and take it easy, but I’m going to insist that DH take me out on a date before he goes back.
Please don’t feel like you have to answer this question, but I just thought I would ask out of curiosity – do you think it’s mandatory that you wait for the six week check up before you start DTD again? Just curious… I had some pretty significant tearing and stitches but things are healing really well and I wonder how long I have to wait? Last time it was out of the question, but this time… sorry if it’s tmi! Feel free to ignore me!
Anyway, dessert beckons. Hope you’re all well and having a lovely weekend.
-
Hello!!! Sorry I haven't kept up lately... been a tough week. Only on me emotionally... doing the whole "half-way through pregnancy & not ready yet" thing LOL
Kellee... where are you? Matilda & I used to go to a playgroup in Woollongabba that was music based but $5 a time. I used to help run it & hated running it, if it were closer to home we would probably go without running it anymore. It runs from 10am-11.30ish on Thursdays. We used to leave the house at 8am and get home around 12,30 and be pretty miserable, I think if we could go without having to run it we would love it there.
Snowy - Matilda only has 12 teeth at 2! She's cut two of her eye teeth & they have disappeared twice so far, and I think one of her 2 year old molars is coming in before she finishes the front teeth... who knows. At 18 months she only had 6 teeth and in the last 6 months 6 have come through & more are threatening.
Fifi- Matilda loves Fifi!! She walks around the house singing the song "Fifi lalalalala" hehehe she can only sing the Fifi right & then makes up the rest, its very cute.
Kellee I think the worry about DTD would be the sutures.... any friction could cause issues, but usually thats in the first few weeks. I know with the c/s they said just because of the muscles that were cut, and I didn't feel like it.
-
Hi girls, Aidan and I are recovering from rotavirus - VERY yucky. But it seems we are finally on the mend. Here's hoping as it is bl**dy horrible! Had a very peaceful week off work - Aidan timed getting sick well as I was able to give him lots and lots of Mummy love. Hope everyone is well!
Kellee, good for you for even thinking about these things! I guess you just rely on your body to tell you if anything is 'not quite right' and enjoy as much as you can! ;)
-
Hello all,
Not much happening here. Went to Mum and Dad’s for dinner last night – we watched some video footage of Charlie from birth until he was about one year old. It’s amazing – you just forget all the little things and it made me remember how damn cute he was! He and Toby are actually more similar than I realised. I can’t believe Charlie is nearly two! Still wondering what to do for his birthday, even though it’s more than a month away yet. Gotta start thinking about the cake too… and the present! Agghh! Oh well, a few weeks to go yet.
Christy – sorry you’re feeling a bit down at this stage in the pg. I think it was about this time through mine that I felt a bit the same. It will pass, I promise. I reckon 9 months is just the perfect length of time. Any shorter and we wouldn’t have our **** sorted out, and any longer and we’d never want to do it again! I can’t remember – do you know what you’re having? Thanks for the tip on the playgroup too… sounds great, but it’s a bit far away from me. Matilda sounds so cute singing Fifi too! Charlie’s too proud for anything like that!
Jessica – you poor things! It seems like Aidan has been crook a lot this year, poor little chook. Hope you’re both feeling better soon – at least you got to spend some time with him, which is something, I suppose.
Anyway, I hear a small boy who won’t settle! (The extra small one, that is.) Hope you’re all having a lovely Monday.

Kellee, it def feels like Aidan is always sick. Hmm maybe I should have b/f longer??!! Who knows, it makes me feel like I'm to blame in some way? He is in child care but only 3 hrs 3 days a week! Maybe the place he goes to is dirty? It seems good, I wouldn't go if it wasn't. Hmmm....
Michelle, argh men!! Who needs em!! ;)
-
Michelle ... thanks for that ... like I need reminding! I really hope Jordan is coping with it all okay. I really think I should sit down with Em and have that talk ... so sad I know but have to make the time to do it before she comes home and thinks she is dying!!! She will be 11 in December!
Cheers

Hi Girls
I am here just lmao. I have no idea what anyone has said just skimmed the last couple of pages.
We are all doing well, most of you would know by now that we are having another baby boy !! There definitely will be no trying for a girl, as i do not want 4. I am trying to get my head around having 3 lmao. Pregnancy wise things are going along pretty smoothly.
Lachlan has had ear infection upon ear infection and then got Gastro as well, so we haven't had a fun couple of weeks. Andrew also got the gastro bug. We think they may have got in while waiting for an hour to see the doctor monday week ago. Thankfully both Kameron and I manage to escape it. I did have the runs for 12 hours a few days prior to them getting it, but I was nothing like they both were.
Not really much else to report on the Lachlan front. Kameron's kindy year is nearly half over. where does the time go. Rang his school that he will be attending yesterday to get him enrolled, but they are not doing 2007 enrollments just yet, so they took details etc and will ring when they are.
Anyway must get the rubbish bins etc out and find some warmer clothes to put on. It is bloody freezing lmao.
Love

sorry girls just another quick post as eliana is sick
started out as a bad cough then vomitting & now the runs - great fun! took her to the dr yesterday & he gave her antibiotics for a chest infection so im hoping things clear up soon - im running out of clothes & towels!!!
if i get online tonight ill do personals
-
hmm Melissa sounds just like what Aidan had and it def wasn't a chest infection. Hope the antibiotics help but keep in mind it could be a gastro bug so just make sure she has LOTS of water and maybe some hydralyte icy poles or the drink? Aidan loved the icy poles!

It is definately gastro season...not fun! Mel, Matilda has reacted to antibiotics before with vomitting & diarrhoea & the GP put her on a different one & she was heaps better, maybe let the GP know. I get gastro symptoms with some antibiotics too, but sometimes the antibiotics are worth more than the gastro :(
Jessica, Matilda was sick heaps her first 12 months in day care. We swapped to family day care & she hasn't been as sick this year. We started her in care for 4 hours once a week for a few months and then twice a week & found she had ear infections and tonsilitis heaps. This year the day cares in our area have had huge outbreaks of rotavirus and sometimes there isn't much they can do to contain it if people send their children to care with the illness in the contagious stage (which is hard to figure out too). Its hard feeling like you are doing something wrong and your baby is sick all the time. I actually stopped working for a month to get her immune system a chance to recover and then she went into a family day care house and she hasn't had an ear infection or tonsilitis since! ETA...I also just bought some immune system boost called "Child care boost" from the chemist for 2 yr old and up to help. It has small doses of echinecia(sp?), zinc and vitamen C to help them combat all the illness' they find in day care.
Well... having said all that LOL we went & picked up our new car last night. Its not brand new, its a 2002 Toyota Corolla Ascent Wagon. But at least its red ;) I've always said I'm not getting a wagon, I was putting my foot down, but in the end practicality won.

That's great news Theresa. It must be making a huge difference to Em to be able to eat. Not to mention what it would be doing for your peace of mind either.
I was fully prepared for Lindsay to be bringing home heaps of lurgies this winter now he is at school, but touch wood they haven't been sick yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed big time LOL.

Jessica - I found Aidyn was getting sick ALL the time earlier this year... basically for the first 4 months after starting daycare (and the beginning of winter).
He has been much better lately though, so I'm pretty sure that his immune system has built up to it. I hope Aidan is the same and stops getting sick soon...
Christy - WOOOHOOO on the new car! How exciting :)
Theresa - good news that Emma is eating again now.
Mel - I hope Eliana is better soon.
Kat - I hope Lachlan recovers quickly from this too...
Aidyn has an appt to see the allergist on August 31... I just really want to know for once and for all what he is actually allergic to. So far it seems peanuts and fish... I hope its something that he can grow out of... especially the fish allergy.
I'm off to brave the Kmart toy sale this morning to get a Thomas train set for Aidyn... not looking forward to the crowds of narky people though!! *shudder* (although I am just as bad as the rest.... ;) )
