OK - back properly this time!
Sounds like everyone is doing OK.
Maryann - good luck for No. 2, hope its nice and quick for you. I hear ya on the picking words up. I am sure our daughter will start coming out with some beauties soon! Bad influences I'm afraid. Come back and post again soon :D
Bec - I hope your trip was OK, and yesterday went to plan.
Sarah - Cute little Zander ;) How sweet for him to say that! And two feet jumping - WOOHOO Hope you dont get too sick.
Deb - I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. We nearly came visitng yesterday. Needed a drive, and I almost suggested hamilton, but my alcoholic tendencies got the better of me and we did the Yarra instead. Darn it all beign the driver!
Trish - Hope Tehya comes right soon too. Jenna wont let us put Bonjella anywhere near her mouth. Guess you have more luck??
No news from me - MG this morning which went OK as I MADE shane come along. So he cuddled all the little bubbies which he really enjoyed, and all the mums chilled out. It was pretty good.
Jenna is sleeping sooooooo badly at the moment. Like the worst in ages. Its killing us both. WE are getting wakeups from 12-1, and then again from 4-5am. Grrr. I'm hoping its just the teeth and she will get back to sleeping through til 5-6am again soon.
Oh to have a baby that slept til 7am. I can only dream!
Happy Melbourne Cup Day all - hope you put some money on a horse that wins back for you ;)
-
Sarah, how cute Zander saying love you. I have been telling Tehya for a while but only hear it in return ocassionally. YAY at him being able to jump with both feet now too. It's so cute to watch hey. Is he proud of himself when he does it?? Teh thinks it's so funny.
Fi, aww at Shane cuddling with the bubba's at MG. I'm hearing you on the no sleep hun. It's bloody horrible hey. Hoping you get the chance to catch some extra zzz's if Jenna goes down for a nap. Nope, no luck on the bonjela here either. I just have to be brave and stick my finger in there and rub around aimlessly, srisking getting my finger bitten off.
Deb, how's things going in your life hun ?? Hope Gab is being a good girl for you.
Tehya is still off. Sooking like mad. Sleeping worse than ever. We got 30 miutes out of her yesterday afternoon and she didnt go down until around 8 ish lastnight, up again by 10.30 and into bed with me because I couldn't settle her anywhere else. Then the horrible night shift starts with her waking up screaming every few hours.
I still took her to swimming, mean mummy I am. Usually we get a good sleep after it and what I wouldn't do for a break. She didn't do very well today, spewed and pooed when she was in the pool. Poor chicken. Of course didn't notice the poo until she got out. Looks like she has the runs now too. Did a massive one everywhere at mum's right down to her socks.
Cracked it lastnight and told then all I was leaving. Just fed up with the whole lot. Not much better today. I really think I need some decent sleep to be able to cope with the constant whinging that Tehya is handing out atm.
-
Trish - I hear ya. Its a killer. Last nights wakeup was 12 and shanewentto sleep with her til 6am, and and then I slept with her til 7:20am. Which is nice, but I'd rather she did the whole thing by herself and actually let mum and dad sleep in bed together.
But she has been good this morning. She ate her breakfast, and while I was doing somebaking she got her bowls out and banged them, then put them away by herself. So I can't complain as long as she behaves.
The sleep is such a killer, and if it weren't for a few of us having the same issues I probably would have cracked by now and tried some less "gentle" options. But having everyone around battling the same issues helps.
Can you get a night away from them all?? Even just you and Tehya? Mayeb she will give you a few nights reprieve after this latest bout of runny bum. Ya poor thing :(
My mum and sister are coming over next weekend, which will be really nice. They haven't seen Jenna since Jan, and Katy hasn't been to Oz for about 15y, so it will be a really neat trip for her. Quick though - only 4d for my sister and 6d for my mum. There is a quilt market in Melb that they have to go to on the Sat.
Fi
-
Fi - aww how nice to have your Mum and sister over for a while. Maybe you'll be able to sneak in some nanna naps while they are there (they can take Jenna out for a while?). I'm sorry you haven't been getting much sleep. Wish I could pass on some of Gab's sleepy vibes. She sleeps too much (tho I am not complaining!).
Trish - I agree with Fi. Maybe time for you to get away from it all. Hey, jump on a plane with Tehya and I'll come and pick you up from the airport. You can come and say in bonnie Dunkeld for a while??
Bec - I didn't get that text that you accidently send? Maybe a different Debbie??
Ok... just gotta share (proud Mummy here). Gab does the cuuuutest thing. Uno that song on Playschool:
"Do you put you hat on your leg, on your leg?
Your hat on your leg?
Ah ahh, Ah ahh"..
Sounding familiar? Anyway, I sing it to Gab whenever I'm getting her dressed... "do you put your pants on you head, on your head?" etc. She does the Ah ahh bit! She used to do the second Ah ahh but now she does the first one and right at the exact time she's meant to. It's sooooo cute. My sisters and Mum reckon it's ever so clever. Just makes me wanna eat her up!! LOL
-
Deb, one day I might well take you up on that offer. I hope it's sincere ;)
Aww how cute is Gab. Clever little puss she is. Good to see she knows that her hat pants don't go on her head either.
Fi, yeah it is good to know that others are still getting the same crappy sleeps. Well, not nice for the others, but ykwim.
Hope you ave a great time with your Mum and sis over. So I guess you'll be off BB for the week hey. The time will go too fast, shame they weren't staying longer.
I agree with Deb too, make use of them to watch Jenna so you can grab some sleep.
I am feeling abit better today, thank God. Tehya ended up having a good nap late yesterday, she wasstill a cow to get down lastnight though and woke up a few times but not as badas the night before. She is still sick, off colour, her tongue looks so sore and the drool is shocking, I have a bib on her constantly, poor bubba.
Did some retail therapy today :D Got myself a new mobile, Nokia 6280. It's on a plan, I really didn't expect them to give it to me, my credit rating is up the you know what. So Deb, now I'll be able to msg you back hun.
Also got myself some new shoes, handbag and fascinator for the races. I am going on the 18th to Rosehill for ladies day. All up it cost me $100, I got $20 for a special they were running, if you got all 3 you got the discount. The girl tried to tell me she couldn't do it as the thing I got was a fascinator and not a hat. Shame they have it in their catalogue as a hat and the tag says it too so she had to give it to me. The shoes weren't in there either. Apparently they will be in by next Thursday, they'd better be or you will all hear me screaming. Funny thing though, I got a bargain on my dress, that only cost me $50. Shoes cost more than my dress LOL.
Can't wait, a long day out without children :)
-
Trish - sounds luverly, and just what you need ATM. And the phone - woohoo! Iwould love a new phone, but its so not required. Mine does what it needs to. Poor Tehya, little bubby sounds not too well :(
I dont know if the fam-dam are into babysitting for me to get some sleep. Usually its more about trying to cram in as much as we can in a few days, so when they leave I'm more tired than when they came. so I expect I will be playing chaffeur and host for our lovely city. Oh well. I'd rather they didnt crash the new car by driving it around without me!
-
I have a sick little chickadee here :( Had a monster spew last night over me, the cot, the floor the wall.... His bed is in the ,iddle of the room & managed to hit the wall a good metre+ away, yuck. All was good overnight & for the drive to work then he chucked in the office twice. Lucky we only have lino LOL! And smart mummy took a change of clothes just in case ;) Sooo hoing he's better for Hi-5 on Sunday.
-
Aww Sarah... sorry to hear Zander is so sick. Ewww @ the projectile vomit. Deeeelightful. Hope it's just a 24 hour thing.
Trish - woo hoo for retail therapy. Sounds like you're gonna have a great day at the races. The Dunkeld Cup is on the 18th too but I'm going on a shopping trip (have been the last 2 years). Neil's work has a corporate tent so he'll be there swillin' beer with his mates. I was hoping to be preggo by then so it wouldn't matter if I missed out on free grog... but I doubt that'll be the case. Eh... the shopping trip is loads of fun anyway ;)
BTW... I'm totally genuine. You're ALL welcome ANYTIME. We're in such a handy spot for touristy things... close to Warrnambool, Mt. Gambier, Port Fairy, Halls Gap etc. etc. We're in the middle of it all. So we're a handy base, really ;)
Fi - still try to take it easy tho, mate. Be tough with ya ma... she's meant to help not stress you out more (tho I often wonder the same thing about my Mum... hahaha).
Gabby had her first interstate trip today. We went to Mt. Gambier for the day (only an hour and a half away from us). We had a counter meal, looked at the shops then went to look at the Blue lake and the other lakes. There's an awesome playground down there so we spent most of the time playing around. I was rapt... there were swings there big enough to fit my fat butt in them! Yee har! I was swingin' like a kid. Neil thought I was silly - but that doesn't take much to do.
-
Hey all
Sarah - I'm really sorry to hear Zander isn't too well. :( Hopefulyl Hi5 isn't a blowout for you. And hopefully the bum doesn't start up :(
Deb - the playground sounds cool - and yay for the interstate trip. Did you get her passport stamped ;)
OK - preggy advice needed. I reckon I'm in early labour. What the hell am I supposed to do here? I dont think its anything too intense yet, but at the same token, I dont want things to get too far along and it mean they can't be stopped if you know what I mean?
I'm getting quite nasty period pains and back ache - it was pretty bad today and I called the hossy to ask them, and the same old - take a panadol, have a hot shower, and get some sleep line. Well I did all that, and they went away, but now they have started up again.
I'm not getting any "tightenings" as such in my uterus, but some of these pains are pretty ouchy. Not like real labour of course, but still, to me it says something is starting to happen.
I had just had 3 in 30mins at 10min intervals. They have stopped again (its been 20mins since my last one) so I reckon I should just go to bed and sleep them off, but do you guys know what I mean?
I'd rather not have a premmie baby, and if there is something that needs to be checked out, should it bedone now, and what can they do?
What do you guys think?
-
Oh gosh, Fi. I have no idea... some help I am, hey? I guess my best advice is not to ignore your instincts. If you think something is happening, maybe go to the hossy and get them to put you on a CTG to see if they are contractions or not (tho I am not a big fan of those machines... bloody well wouldn't pick up my contractions...but you're not a fatty-boom-ba like me, LOL). Could it be Braxton Hicks??
-
Fi, I think the midwives say that because there are so many panicky women out there. Did you tell them that it's not your first baby ?? If you feel that something isn't quite right then get your butt down to the hossy. Is bub still moving plenty ?? What about you ?? Any leakages, extra fluid ??? I can't believe that given your only 34 + weeks that they haven't asked you to come in for a monitor, atleast if you were contracting they could give you meds to stop them, either that or drugs for bubs lungs.
Don't ignore your gut feelings hun. Better to go and look silly at the hosp than to stay home and have your baby in the shower.. Not that that isn't a good thing. Just not at 34 weeks ;) And if this does turn out to be nothing, make sure not to push yourself when your mum is here. I can imagine that you would want to cramp everything into the time you will have together, but still, you are very pregnant hun. When she is back home who is going to look after you if end up on bed rest ??
Deb, thanks hun. Flights to Melbourne are pretty cheap too. Victoria (schmickers wife), my midwife, now lives in Port Maquarie and she had offerend for me to go on a holiday up there for a few days with Tehya too. Flight is so expensive though, $260 return. I can get to Melbourne for under $200.
Sounds like you guys had a great day. Yahoo for finding a real sized swing. I had those rubber sort of ones that curve to your butt, the handles always stick into my sides and bruise me, build great for kiddies, just not mummies.
Sarah, poor Zander. Good to see he's still good at his massive spew's. I hope he get's better soon and that like Fi said, it doesn't go to his butt.
Went into Kmart tonight with Mark. He got the kids this gorgeous play kitchen to go into the cubby house he is building them. The kitchen is going away for Chrissy, even though Noah saw it, we told him it was for his cousins.
-
Aww won't Noah get such a surprise when he sees it's for him! Yay for a cubby house. Neil has to build one for Gabby. I think he's pretty excited by the prospect.
Like I said, Trish.. anytime :) If flights are so cheap, why not? It's not like you'll have to pay for accomodation or food ;)
Hope all is ok, Fi... thought about giving you a call but I don't want to wake any of you if you managed to get to sleep...
-
Deb, I bet we'll both be on here early to check on Fi. I sure hope all is well too hun.
What if you didn't like me when I got down there and all the time you were waiting for me to p off and go home ;) I'm sure Gab and Tehya would have fun together though. Or maybe given that Tehya is a cow she might be nasty to poor little Gab ;)
-
Go to his bum? Guys are you forgetting the Toddler's Diorreha I deal with every single day? Like there would be any difference ;) Still spewy though, I was up between 3am-4am cleaning his bed again. So pleasant when I have to go to work today *sigh* I've never had to deal with this sort of thing before, when should I get him to the Drs?
Fi, if you are concerned I'd get into see someone soon. Good luck!!
-
Sarah, as long as he is hydrated there really isn't much your Dr can do for you. Try to keep up Zanders fluids and as long as he hasn't got a temp or anything he should be right. Oh yeah, sorry, forgot about his constant runny butt too.
Do you think he may have whatever was upsetting your stomach the other day ??? Maybe wait out the day and see how he goes throughout it.
My Dr says kids will always spew at either 11pm or 3 am. Reckons it's built in to them to disturb us as soon as we get to bed, or when we are fast asleep :) I think she might be on to something.
Hope he gets better soon. Go to work and find a desk to hide under !!
-
Ok, I'm going to make myself sound really stupid here, but how do I tell if he's dehydrated? I know when they're little their fontanelles sink, but what about now? Yeah I think it's just the same bug I had, he seems to be ok until he eats & thats the same as I was. He hasn't really had much to eat since Tuesday, which is bad enough as he lost 400gm last month with his runny bum :( Mum managed to get him to have an apple yesterday & he had a bikkie with me last night, but he doesn't even want to drink or anything. ALthough he did have a little bit of an electrolyte ice block which is something.
Anyway I'm rambling here, better get him out of bed & into the car. Just what he needs - an hour to work then an hour home with a sick belly.
-
Hey all. Bec G (my brains trust) and I headed into hossy last night for a couple of hours. They put me on the CTG and confirmed that yes there are "tightenings" there every 10mins or so. I could have told them that ;)
In the end they took a urine test cause they thought it could be a UTI, but I haven't got any of those symptoms either, so I dont think so. They gave me a couple of sedatives and told me to go home and try to get a good nights sleep and take it easy. Yeah right with my child!!!
I just feel like things are off - ya know? And the annoying thing is I know my body. The baby isnt engaged (not that means a pile) and with all the prelabour I had last time, one would think I know what I'm doing. I told them it was second child and all, and all I really care about is not having a baby at 35w!! Anyway, maybe a cruisy day will take the pains away.
Bec G is completely mad - can you believe she wanted to take me into hossy? At that time of night? Anyway, she was very helpful - thanks mate. But my child woke up cause of that ****head over the road, and it took me a while to resettle her (she ended up pooing in her night nappy), but in the end slept from about 12:30 to6:30, so that was good.
Sarah - sorry about Zander. Keep his fluids up - try and force as much as you can into him during the day. I found that made a huge difference with Jenna. If you can get them in when he is still happy enough, it makes it easier for the next couple of days when he might be off his food. And you take him in when you think he's not right. It doesn't matter whether you feel silly or not, just do it if he starts up. Hopefully you will get lots of lovely cuddles over the next few days though - thats the only good part about being sick!! Maybe call and make an appt for tomorrow which can be cancelled if he comes right?
Trish - yay for the kitchen and the cubby house!! Do Tehya and Noah share well? can you give them a joint present like that and it goes down OK? I can't wait to get Jenna a cubby and a kitchen etc. I reckon she will love them :) At the baby expo there was a little one set up, and she went in to play with the othe kids in it. One of them gave her a duster and was showing her how to dust things. She thought it was awesome :D
Deb - thanks for the thoughts. You could have called - but Shane wouldn't have been to impressed! I was strapped to a table at 11pm, and then trying to wee for the next 30mins, so it wouldn't have worried me too much.
-
Sarah - I think an easy way to tell if they are dehydrated is to push into their pink skin and seehow long it takes for the blood to return. I think under 3secs is OK?
Its normally a day or two until they start getting really dehydrated, so the more you can get into now the better. Give him weak cordial - anything that he will drink is fine. Dont be stressed about a sweet tooth at the mo. Treats are the key. Jenna also like ice chips??
Good luck - I hope today is OK. can you call in sick?
-
Yep hydration is determained by pressing the had and waiting for the blood to recirculate..I think off the top of my head it shouldnt take longer than 3 seconds. Also sunken eyes and dry lips. Obviously wet nappies. Cordial is great as Fi said..they also encouraged salty biscuits at hospital to encourage drinking.
Ahh well better go and feed my child she slept all night which was amazing but as I predicted last night Fi after a large dose of actilax she had pood herself.
I will pop back on when nap time comes along yah for naps
Bec
-
Sarah, you can also tell if he is dehydrated just by looking in his mouth. If he has plenty of dribble happening it's all good. The ice block is a great idea too.
Fi, think you need to get Shane to go over and let the guy's tyres down across the road ;) Buggar at Jenna pooing her night nappy too. What's going on there.
Noah and Tehya share ok for the most of times although they do battle with things. Noah is protective of some of his toys. And Tehya can be with her bubba's, Noah can be mean to them.
Noah knows about the cubby as Mark is building it out the back. We didn't have the space to hide it and build it. Shame, would've been a great suprise on Crissy day. They love the cubby at mum's house so I'm sure it will get used. And Noah loves home corner at pre school, he's very domesticated, must get it from his dad :)
Better go, still need to shower and dress Tehya and I to be out of the house by 9 to get Noah to school. She is sicker today, has this rotten cough now too. Think I might try to get her back into the Dr's, not that there is much she can do. I just hate seeing her suffer like this. It's been nearly a week already.
-
Its not his car Trish - its his alarm. I dont get people that have sirens on their keyless entry. He has left at 11pm-1am every night for the last 5 nights, and while that hasn't been the thing that has woken Jenna, it has unsettled her to the point where she cries!
She was disappointed last night when it was me that came into settle her. Normally its Dad which means sleeping with him in the spare bed, but she knows I dont put up with that nonsense. ;) So almost a full nights sleep - well through til 6:30 which is pretty good for me.
man - why can't babies stay healthy?? Wouldn't it be nice NOT to go to the dr once a month??
-
hey ladies, sorry to hear your kiddies are sick... fingers crossed thing clear up :) Declan has had the most AWFUL teething nappies lately, he's just cut tooth #6. FINALLY!!!
-
Hey guys,
It's a sad, horrible day for me. I've posted in the boo hoo room :(
-
Fi, what a PITA. The house across the road alarm was going off a couple of weeks back. I ended up going out. Bad hey. I would be so happy if Tehya would rather Mark settle her. But ATM it's all me, she rarely even lets anyone even hold her this last week.
Deb, huge hugs sweet . I am so very sorry for the loss of Charlie. I hope Gabby is being a good girl for you.
Simone, YAY on Declan geting more teeth. Just think the longer they take to come in, the longer they will last for. Or so they say. Ouchie on his poor bum though. Lots of fresh air is great :)
Mum insisted on me taking Tehya to the Dr's, i hate going back and forth and I know that it's only a viral thing but still I went. Anyway, the Dr thinks that maybe because she has just cut her eye teeth that maybe she has biten her tongue there and that has caused the ulcer ?? Her throat is alittle congested - snot runing down it, but not too bad yet and her chest is clear. So we leave her for a few days and if she gets sicker then we go back for AB's.
Went out and picked up one of the Chrissy laybys today. Our Kmart sends them offsite so you have to go and pick it up. Took them 30 minutes to find all of the stuff. Goinng to take me alot longer to find hiding spots :)
I must've cracked it really good the other night. Mark has told me that I should go to raffles tonight, even offered me $20 when I said I had no money. Of course mum isn't going tonight, so I am high and dry anyway :( Poor little Nigel, I am. No one to go out with....
-
Oh ya poor thing ;) If only I was able to go out at night. And drink. If only..... oh well - one day soon.
This time next week the wine will be flowing and Shane and Mum will be getting drunk together. Well, maybe just tipsy, but they will rub it in none the less.
We bought Shane's son's Chrissie pressie today. Rebel sport had 20% off for all RACV members, so we went and bought him a licensed Saint Kilda AFL gurnsey. Hopefully he will like it, but really, who knows. We wont get to find out! And we boutgh his daughter a little gold ring, so they are done at least. jenna is done, my nieces are done, and I just haev to get some sewing underway to cover my other nieces.
I hope Tehya has a good weekend for you guys. Bugger the AB's.
Deb - I'm sorry again about charlie. That really sucks.
Simone - blurk on the nappies, but yay on the teeth! :D
-
dont start on Xmas shopping LOL i have to buy for the kids from GMIL, as she's 70 and just had a hysterectomy on monday. And then im still trying to pay off all the layby's i put on... I always have such a great budget set up, and i never seem to stick to it!!
Deb -
Fi - yay on no more xmas shopping.
we're heading into CBD to see the Myer chrissy lights tomorrow night, never seen them before, snd we're going to meet Ken Duncun at his gallery in Southbank, so combine the 2, keep Dh AND the kids happy :)
-
Hi Chickies,
I'm sitting here smelling of lovely vomit..that will teach me to bribe my child with marshmallows :)
Deb: I'm so sorry about your puppy, it must be so hard. I know when my doggy died that I had had since I was 3 she died when I was in year 12 it was sad. I hope you remember all the fun times
Simone: OOh have fun at the lights it should be fantastic, I wish I was organised too. And yah for Declans toothys...only 14 to go :)
Trish:Yah for picking up a layby..I only have a target one that I must get around to paying off lol Hope Miss Teh is on the improve nasty eye teeth
Fi: I was quietly hoping that we might need another adventure tonight lol. Are you sure you are feeling ok :)
Not much happening here..Eliza is up to her old tricks were she has to fall asleep with us so she is down one end of the house with her fold out couch and I am up the other end of the house waiting till she gets into the deep sleep where I can move her. You do it too early and we end up having to wait again. Hopefully we got a full night again..then again she had no dinner but ate alot of "not recommended food" on our walk.
Bec
-
BEc, lol at the "not recommended food". Oh well, atleast she ate. Mmm mashmallow vomit, bet that's nice and sticky. Tehya has to fall asleep with me atm, a big PITA.
Simone, hope you have a great night tonight and the kidides and DH behave for you.
Fi, yay on being so sorted. I guess you have to be being so pg right near Chrissy.
Deb, how you doing today hun. I hope you got some sleep lastnight
I ended up taking Brandon out with me, pretty sad when I have to take one of my kids out to get away from the others. Still was good to let him have some time with me, he rarely gets it and he's probably the best behaved child I have. Hmm is that how you get a good one ???? Not devote all of your time to them...... ;)
I won a meat tray but that wouldn't have covered the tickets I brought. I was one ticket off a major prize too, got the heart pumping on me.
Have to go to the Police station wiht Joel this morning so have to get my butt into gear and he is still asleep. Have to be there at 9am for probably 2 hours, another break from the kids, but this time I'd rather be at home. Still don't know what we are going to do down there, it all depends on his statement as to whether he is charged or not. The guy that is looking after Joel conferencing stuff told me to watch the vidoe of the fight first before letting Joel answer anything. i just wish I had someone stronger than me to come along. Mum is out on a shopiing trip today and his stupid father, well like I said he is stupid, no way could he come down and he doesn't een have to open the shop until 10 am.... Butt Head !!!
Tehya is still shocking, her cough is wrong, she cries when she does it and she's sporting that nt so sexy husy voice. Noah's cold is worse and he is crying now too, he is the worse one to get sick I tell ya.
Oh well, them's the breaks huh. I'm sure i will stop whinging one day ;)
-
Oh Trish - sounds like a rough old time :( LMAO on taking Brandon out - he probably loved the mummy time. And you will be fine at the station I'm sure, just stand up for your son and yourself, and it will slowly come out in the wash.
Give little Tehya a cuddle and Noah a sloppy kiss.
Bec - Nahhh - No more hossy trips I think, unless something really exciting happens. I had my osteo appt yesterday, and she says my jpelvic joint is really shot (I feel the pain in my lower RHS back). Its exactly where my back labour was with Jenna, and I'm wondering if maybe the joint isn't loosening like its supposed to for a preggie woman, and so maybe thats why jenna refused to turn in labour? Not sure - just an idea a tht moment.
Gross on the marshmallow spew. I came home to a red little girl last night. Shane decided to give her a raspberry icepole. Hmmmm.
We almost had a sleep through last night. She woke up at 1am, and went back to sleep!! YAYAYAY and then again at 4:30am, and shane went and slept with her then. He thinks she would have gone back to sleep again by herself, but we are just so programmed to get up at the moment, we dont even bother analysing the cries. Anyway, hopefully another good night tonight.
Simone - Ken Duncan is the photographer yes?? If so - I love his work :) I went to his gallery in Cairns a few eyars ago and was very tempted with a couple of his prints. Pricey though. I hope the Myer show was good :)
Shane's off to cricket today, so I'm mummy at home again. Which is OK. he's not going fishing in the morning, so we can have the big family day tomorrow. Off tothe market to get a few more Chrissie presents. God - we have soooo many more to buy yet! And I have to say I've done all the fun ones - the adults remain :(
-
Good luck today, Trish.
Mum has popped over for a visit (surprised me last night.. she borrowed some petrol money to get up here to say goodbye to Charlie). So I'll be scarce for a couple of days. Will catch up properly later :)
Fi... make sure you SMS me if anything happens with bubba, ok? (cos I know that's gonna be your main priority and all... PMSL).
-
Deb - thats great of your mum to visit. Hope things are OK.
Nothing will happen with the bubba - I'll still be here whinging louder than Trish ( ;) ) in a few weeks time.
-
OMG Fi, i cant believe you're already at 35w... (LOL)
Ken Duncan is the photographer, as he's a really nice guy. DH got 4 books signed (i bought him 1, he already had 3) and we got about 10 photo's!!
How's this weather? It was gorgeous this morning, and its now overcast!! There goes the idea of putting my washing out...
Hope everyone's ok :)
-
Hey Fi !! PMSL, I'm not going to whinge this post, LOL.
Yay at almost getting a sleep through. IKWYM about getting up straight away too. I think we do it in the hope that if we get there fast enough they will go back to sleep easier. Well, I know thats whats in my thoughts.
Deb, I hope you enjoy your visit with your mummy. How nice of her to come on up.
Simone, sounds like you had a really nice time, yay at getting DH's book signed and for the pic's too.
Well, the weather here today is gorgeous and expected to be hotter tomorrow. We are thinking of heading off for a drive to the beach in the afternoon.
I have 4 loads of washing hanging out, and another waiting, I have no more line space. See what happens when you don't wash for a day.
All went good this morning. Thankfully, the officer we had was very nice. Joel went in, he had formal questioning again, video taped and recorded. He wasn't charged this time, thank God but he does have to do another youth conferencing. We watched the tape and at one stage I ended up with tears in my eyes. Not nice seeing your son fight like that.
See I CAN post without whinging ;) I'm sure I will make up for it later though. LOL.

Trish  i hope that Joel is finished with his macho boy thing, sounds like he;s stressing you out too much... i think ill keep my kiddies as toddlers, no growing up for them!! (I remember myself as a teen...) Whinge away anyways :)
-
Thanks Simone. OMG I just looked at your ticker, I can't believe that little Anneliese is 5 months old already. That just flew by. Well for me it did anyway.
-
Dont worry Trish, it flew by for me too!! I cant believe Declan (and all the other littlies) will be 2 coming into the start of next year...
Declan 's talking so much now, it was only a couple of weeks ago i was whinging that he wasnt saying anything!! (i spoke too soon LOL) Im so wrapped around his little finger. He's my little blonde angel... when i tell him off, he looks at me with his blue eyes, and i have to hug him. Then i have to smack myself for being so gullible!!
-
LOL, Simone, favouritism hey ;)
I hosnestly thought that with Mark and I we'd end up with real blondies. We both had white blonde hair when we were little and it's still blonde now, just darker. Instead we end up with 2 redheads.
-
I was born with strawberry blonde, Dh was brown, now he's almost black, and i dont know what mine is!! Declan is goloden blonde, and Anneliese looks like she's going to be the strawberry blonde. Xander takes after me (thank god not his sperm donor father) and had the red hair, but its faded out to reddy/brown now. But i have green eyes and Dh has light brown, and both kids are blue eyes!!

Trish - I'm just teasing. If you cant whinge here, where are ya gunna?? :D So pleased for you that things worked out today. Perhaps this is the kick in the pants he needs to be straight for a little while? I'm so pleased its 11 years til we have a teenager. Well we have them now IYKWIM, but we dont live with it in our faces everyday. Would be an interesting relationship if we did!
Simone - The photography is amazing - I'm pleased you enjoyed the gallery. LOL on Declan talking. We can't shut jenna up at the moment either. She is repeating phrases with the inflection now, so we say something to each other, and she parrots along. Its very cute - but I'm guessing we really, really need to watch our swearing. We are shockers, and I'm sure she will end up with a potty mouht!
We are hoping for lots of rain tonight. Geelon is in a seriously bad way water wise. Stage 4 restrictions starting very soon - apparently if it weren't for the state election we would be on them now, but there are noises of conspiracy to prevent backlash. Hmmmm - not really sure how much more water we can save. Specially when all the big businesses in the area waste so much water - and potable drinking water at that!! Trust me - I know one of the worse ones in the region, I used to work for them and I was responsible for some of the water saving projects that I couldn't get funding for!! Grrrrrr.
So lots of rain tonight pelase

Dont worry Fi 0 Dh and i are really bad with the swearing too. I try to be good, but when i stub a toe or something, all my good intentions go out the window!!
Looks like its about to rain here, there goes doing my washing tomorrow...
