Kellxx - you poor thing. just hang in there ok? Jesse can't be sick forever and then things will pick up and you will be able to get more sleep. i know your MIL has been over a lot, but do you think she might come and stay for a night so that you can just focus on feeding Keira at night, or maybe focus on Jesse for the night, and then she can look after the other. Keira is bottle fed right? if not though, and you just have to do it all yourself, I can only say I feel for you, and hope it will all get better soon.
Mez - Georgia is great. I love her to pieces. We had our second mothers group today, and she was a very good girl. she has a milk rash now, not sure what it's really called, but combined with the hair loss on top, it's not her finest hour, although I still think she is the most beautiful thing ever to grace the earth. ;) That is so great that Isabel is sleeping more with the swaddling. Although I also think that now that she is five weeks old that she is probably coming out of the unsettled stage too, all the books generally say that between 3 and 5 weeks are the worst for bubs being unsettled. I'm sure you'll do just fine even with your DH being away for the week, although I know how much you'll miss him.
Missy - I hope the baptism goes really well. I think we'll baptise Georgia in a few months time. I need time to organise something. That is lovely about you and your dd, I hope Gigi and I can be so close.
Hi Tenny - what a cute little outfit. I love pumpkin patch stuff. he looks sooo handsome.
-
Oh Kell hun your doing a wonderful job hun and of cause your over it. Its very hard trying to keep the kids well and run the house. Im so sorry jess is sick and hope you and DD dont get it. When you dont get much sleep you get all teary and upset. Its only natural hun. Try not to think you cant handle it or give up cause it will all get better. Take care
Ayapi YAY on Isabel and her sleeping. Good girl. Yes I cant wait till Liam's baptism. It will be very special.
OMGOSH tenny those photos are just the best. I love them so much. Thanks for sharing them with us. I want that outfit.....lol
yes jess DD and I have a great relationship. We get on so well. Good luck with organising some thing for Georgia baptism.
Well im off. Hi to eveyone else and hope you have a great weekend. Ill back on sunday. Take care all
-
Kellxx- Hun im so sorry Jesse is so sick, I really hope this is the end of it so you can get some decent sleep. I know your DH starts work early in the mornings but would it be possible for him to feed Kiera from the time Jesse goes to bed till he has to go to work so you can sleep till you need to get up for Jesse? I know he would be tired but you need some rest to function.
I wish i could help in some way
Belle- Soz hun, they havnt decided on a date so looks like it will be next week. If not we could meet up anyway if you want. Great pics hun
Missy- Oh thats great, you are so lucky.. Lucas slept from 11.50pm till 3.07am this morning and I thought I was in heaven LOL. Lucas will get baptised when he is 3 months old like Laila did.
I will come in to see you on Tuesday now i know your at work.
Tenny- So cute!!!!
Mary- Oh gosh it helps heaps, Laila was always wrapped really tight unless she was feeding or it was her tummy time and the same for Lucas.. it helps them realise its time for sleep when wrapped plus its comfort for them cause they are used to being kept tight in our bellys.
Feeb- My DD had reflux and so does Lucas..its horrible. Always changing him, changing his bed, changing myself etc.
Okie im gunna go, so so tired and gunna get some sleep while Lucas is asleep. Abit stressed as Laila was just so naughty today and Lucas didnt sleep all day :wall:

Hi everyone.
Well today went & saw my freind she lives in Roxburgh park, so I thought of paying her a visit which was to see her. Then went to my hubby's factory stayed there a bit took took MIL home as my FIL is in greece for 2 weeks, he went there for his neice's wedding. So I offered to take my MIL home if she wanted. She only lives like 5 mins from the factory & she likes walking & told me not to worry but I feel bad. But I told her if it's raining, call me.
Missy- That's wonderful how ur bapbtising liam on father's day :)
Mary- That's great to hear that Izzy is sleeping good, I'm so glad. I'm sure you will be fine while ur DH is away.
Kell- I'm so sorry sweety, I'm sure Jesse will get better, & it's really nice to have ur IL's coming over & helping u. Also I'm sorry to hear that ur FIL has a low immunity with cancer, I hope he will be fine. If u want to ever talk u can PM me ok sweety
Tenny- AWWW how cute r the clothes & ur beautiful baby :)
-
Missy: Melissa sounds like a gem!! I hope I have that sort of relationship with Ashlea!
Mez: HOw are you going? We have been pretty good. Sorry to hear you had some rough nights, great to hear the swaddling worked, I started wrapping Ash again and its working wonders
Tasia: Hows everything going? DH being nice to you now??
Tenny: It was a boring day but I did get most of the washing done haha Hope Hayden's cold is getting better! Hayden's outfit is GORGEOUS!! I lived on ebay when I had Jayden, I haven't even thought to look for clothes for Ashlea!
Jess: I'm a huge believer in sleeping when the baby is sleeping, but it is harder to do when there's a 2yo involved haha get as much rest as you can!! Ashlea feeds between 3-4 hourly then sometimes sleeps through so she'll go maybe 6hrs
Oh Kell hun!!! I know how you feel, Jayden is sick ATM too (nothing like Jesse though). Just take a deep breath and know that it won't be like that forever. We were told (I think in antenatal class) that no baby has died from crying, so let Keira cry a bit if Jesse needs you. We of course are here for you as well, I know I have had a few days where I just don't think I'm cut out to have 2 kids...I think every mother goes through that at some stage, whether they are willing to admit it or not. Big  to you, I hope things look up soon.
Zee: I sympathise with you RE toddlers being naughty! Jayden is playing up heaps lately... not sure if its an age thing or an attention thing....I just keep telling myself it won't be like this forever haha
Feeding is going great again although I didn't feed Ashlea from 8.30pm last night until 6am this morning (gave her EBM at 2am) and I was way too full and she couldn't attach, then she wouldn't after I expressed a bit so I expressed the whole lot and gave her a bottle but I had express 220ml in total from both sides!! She has fed fine all day, oh she made me bleed this morning too so I was so scared all day to put her on that side!
Is anyone still bleeding (downstairs)?? Sorry if TMI but mine had almost stopped after 2 weeks but then came back and I still have it. I know they say up to 6wks and I bled for 6 wks with Jayden but I am so over it!
We were out all day today, I never plan to but it always happens. I took Ashlea up to Chris' work to show everyone....he almost seemed a bit proud when he was showing everyone (I was holding her though). He was even making gooey faces at her yesterday which I thought was cute. I hope this means he is coming round and going to start to take an interest in her. I yelled at him the other day and told him to "step up at being a parent" otherwise you won't have a family....although he didn't respond at the time maybe he had a think about it???
Well my little princess is fast asleep on me so I better put her to bed and I think I will have some custard and then go to bed myself.....Tomorrow we have another LC appt, I am actually excited this time as Ashlea has only had 3 bottles since last Fri so any weight gain will be me feeding her. Oh and I uploaded Ashlea's 1mth old (today) pic on FB

Hi everyone.
Mez - swaddling might have been the prob. I read that newborns (up to 3 months) have something called a startle reflex which the swaddling is supposed to help them not startle themselves awake. I know that if I don't swaddle Ava, shes awake in about an hour. Swaddling, I get a good 3 hours out of her during the day and during the night, I only wake once at 4 to feed her.
Kel - sorry your having such a bad time of it. Hope everything gets better for you soon.
Bel - photos are SO cute. Reminds me that I haven't put photos of Ava up yet (slack I know)
Tan - congrats on sticking with the BF and hope yopur little one is a chubber at weight-in :)
I've been trying to keep BF Ava and have over the last week increased my supply a bit (no where near enough to exclusively BF her but still a start) so got DH to take me down tot he drs yesterday for motilium (sp?). Hopefully that will do the trick.
Hi to anyone else I missed.
-
Morning all,
Well we had another good day with Isabel and her sleeping. She doesn't like to be swaddled but I am persisting with it cause she sleeps for the 3 hours rather than just cat napping. After her feed at 3am though she is a pain cause she just doesn't want to go back to sleep and it takes me 1 hour and half to get her down (very annoying)
Pink - Yeah I had her arms out and she would wake herself by jerking all the time which is why my SIL said that I should try swaddling her again. I hope the medication will help your milk supply. You should put up some pics of Ava we would love to meet her.
Tannis - Aww little Ash is just gorgeous, she looks adorable in your ticker pic. I'm happy that your DH is finally seeing the light with his beautiful daughter. I'm sure that she has put on lots of weight now that she is feeding so well BF, let us know sweet how it all goes. I'm doing good, tired but I'm starting to take naps when Izzy is sleeping now that she is doing long bouts of it.
Zee - I hope you got some rest sweet when Lucas was, cause he is up all day doesn't he just exhaust himself and sleep for long spurts? How is Laila with her little brother?
Kell - Oh hun I'm so sorry that your having such a hard time, I really do hope that your little boy gets better soon and starts to eat. Take it easy and take some time for yourself ask for help if you need it sweet. That's what I have learnt to do (ASK for HELP) I'm too proud to cause I think that I'm not doing a good job or people will judge me.
Hi to everyone else, hope you're all doing well as are your little ones.
-
Thank you so much ladies for your thoughts.
MIL ended up having today off work which was wonderful. Jesse seemed alot better this morning. Still not 100%. Still a little wobbly on his feet and 1 runny poo over night. I actually managed to get him to sleep in his big bed yesterday, and hes asleep in there now again. He just didnt want to sleep in the cot yesterday.. not sure if he was associtating it with being sick maybe since he was sick in bed twice. But i just lay down there with him and he was asleep in no time. He's eaten 3 scotch finger biscuits today and a few plain smiths chips (hospital recommended them to my sister when my niece was in there for the same thing and wouldnt eat or drink - just to help them to drink and also theyre getting food too). Though hes not wanted to drink much today. The past few days thats all hes wanted to do. So will have to keep an eye on his nappies.
Mez.. i will, thanks hun. Ive just been so lucky my IL's have been great this whole week in helping out. Hows izzy's reflux going? Any better now?
Pink.. thank you. Isnt Motilium for being sick and diorhea? Sorry if you are sick hun. (sorry im yet to catch up on everything) I have some of that in the cupboard and was given it for when i get my migrains. Also actually helped DH when he was being sick this week.
Tannis.. oh im sorry Jayden is sick. Its not fun hey. Oh i know. I dont know how those mums out there handle more kids! I once said id have 3.. hmm well lately thats really being reconsidered!
Anastasia.. thanks honey.
Zee.. thank you hun. DH actually did do that for me last night (got up and fed Keira). DH is off this weekend thank god. So hopefully ill be able to catch up on some sleep then.
Jessica.. yep she is bottle fed. Oh at the moment i dont know how i would handle it if she was BF. It wouldve been so hard. MIL has actually offered to take Keira Saturday night so we can try and get some sleep. So im actually considering it.
Missy.. thanks honey.
Tenny.. thank you. Oh i love the outfit!!!!!! So gorgeous! Makes me want another little boy!
Havent heard from Kristy. Hope shes ok. She ended up getting it all too. So im hoping shes not too sick and the twins are ok.. being they are part BF i hope they havent gotten the bug. Big  hun i hope youre all ok.

Hi guys just a quick one from me (I know, I've not been on for AGES!!!) on DH's computer since I killed my laptop (fell off the stand it sits on - stupid me)
Struggling a bit here as well with the toddler + newborn - its so friggin hard, DS has been especially whingy and whiney - thats his new language, doesn't speak english anymore just whinges and whines all day... I told DH last night that I wanted to trade him in for another child and DH made me feel so crappy about saying that to him - made me feel like the worst mother in the world. I can't help it if i don't particularly "like" my son when he is acting like the biggest turd in the world. So think I am battling PND - and so don't want to go there - so haven't posted because of that. Didn't really have the motivation to type anything because my life SUCKS at the moment.
Anyhoo - on a positive note - I got a new pram today :)
Mez - we still swaddle here too. Plus I have noticed if I put her on her side to sleep, she goes to sleep much quicker, plus even self settles sometimes - and she doesn't like to go to sleep either at 3am - so we have her in bed with us, and i go to sleep instead.. lol
Kel - I am SOOO sorry that Jesse hasn't been well. You poor thing!!! Huge hugs for you honey, because it is hard enough to do this, without illness being thrown into it. Hopefully the three of you can take a nice nap together.. and I hope its a shortlived gastro thing for Jesse (I think they can last up to 5 days?? So hopefully he is at the end of it)
Hello to everyone else that I missed. Previous posts have just been too long for me to remember what is going on with everyone - so I do apologise!!! Personals are a bit beyond me at the moment, but I hope to be more "with it" soon enough and be back to my normal self.
Going to the Hyatt tonight so better keep getting kids stuff ready for a night out. And DD has just woken up - ooh no - looks like she's going to sleep again. Ahh well better go pick out outfit for myself that doesn't make me look too huge!!!!
Check yas later!!!
-
Hey Mel, great to see you back, it's not the same without you! Hang in there, you are probably just struggling with the demands of a newborn/ toddler rather than anything more serious. Hopefully A will get over the whingy clingy thing soon and start acting like a big boy. Enjoy your night at the Hyatt - sounds like you need it :hug: We missed you!
and :cheer: for the new pram!
Kel, thinking of you - glad Jesse seems to be getting better and had a sleep.... You've done really well coping with it all. Your MIL sounds like she has been great. It might be good for you to have a night's sleep on saturday if she takes Kiera - you could do with a catch up sleep.
Tan - you too, it must be so hard with a sick toddler and a new baby.
Cute pics Tenny ;) love the pumpkin patch
:hello: Pink, ayapi, Belle, Zee, missy, tasia and *insert baby brain* anyone else I've forgotten
We took Beth to a friend's house for dinner last night and she was really well behaved... had a bit of a struggle settling her after 11.00 feed, but other than that a good night. Quiet day here, a friend popped over for lunch, I am coming down with a cold so trying to take it pretty easy.
-
Here are some links to photos of Ava I've finally put up. Only managed 2 before the site wouldn't let me upload any more grrrr. Not sure if I'm linking right tho...

I just realised DD is 1 month today Woo hoo!
-
Pink she is soooooo cute! Love that first pic!
-
Mel - Welcome back. I hope you're better and the virus you had is all gone.
BIG HUGS! You're not a bad mother. I think you're a fantastic person and mummy.
If anyone says they like their kids when they're being little turds, then they'd be BIG FAT LIARS!
I hope you have a great night and look after yourself.
We're all here for you no matter what!!!
and I'm sure you'll look fantastic in whatever you decide to wear.
Whoohoo for the new pram.!!!
Mez - :hooray: for another good day. Yipeee!
Pink - She's beautiful. Great pics. Thanks for sharing. Yay a month old!! They grow too fast, aye.
Kell - I'm glad Jesse is better today and you catch up on some sleep on the weekend. <3
Pixie - Hope you feel better soon. Look after yourself.
Lately I've been feeling strange about being a mother to another little someone. It's like I don't believe It or something like that, or it hasn't sunk in yet. It's very weird since I'm this is my second baby , so wtf is going on with me...
That doesn't really make that much sense. My thoughts are all mixed up and I can't think straight half the time. Brain mush. lol.
I hope the weather is good this weekend. Come on sunshinnnnnne.
Have a great weekend and all that jazzz.
xoxo
-
Hey Tenny, sorry to hear you're feeling off.... what kind of weird? is it something you can explain? is it just hard to believe you're a mum again? or do you think it is something to do with your birth - you said it was a bit traumatic? Feel free to talk to us babe, or if you need some help, maybe see your GP or a counsellor?
It sounds to me like you're doing great with your two boys
-
Tenny.. i kinda know what you mean. Its funny. With Jesse as a baby i was so attached to him.. didnt want anyone else feeding him or holding him.. he was my baby. lol. But with Keira, shes still my baby and i love her just as much, but im happy to let someone else do all that iykwim. Its kinda weird.. like im use to Jesse just being around and him being like a big person.. and its weird having baby aswell thats kinda doesnt do much.. but yeh i know how you mean.
Pink.. love the pics!!!!!
Pixie.. thanks hun. Glad everythings going well with you and Beth.
Mel.. oh hun i know how you feel. Youre not a bad mother at all. I wish i could trade Jesse in lately too! I know its not really his fault.. but this sickness on top of his usual terrible 2's and teething has been absolute hell. Im just so sick of it all. Hes now picking up but all i hear all day is whinge too. He'll have a tanty and throw something and then whinge at me to go pick it up and give it back to him! Like um NO! Then whinges more when i dont. Did Aricyn have Gastro a little while back? I remember you did. Yeh Jesse's had it now since Saturday.. so 6 days. But He is teething too so i think that has make the gastro worse and prolonged it all a bit too. But yeh hope we're at the end of it. Oh sweet re the pram! What type? Have fun tonight hun.
Well Jesse's managed to eat 2 potato gems and a few potato chips for dinner! woo!
Keira is doing well. Poor baby has been put on the back burner this last week. But shes going great guns. Slept through again the night before last from 10pm until 6am. Was a night i really needed it too so shes a star. Was back to her 3am wake up again last night though damn it! Looks like we're getting one sleep through a week.. but i aint complaining! Actually it was the night before last we upped her formula amount so im thinking the poor bugger must have been waking up starving!
-
Kell - WHOA! That's exactly how I feel, I just didn't really understand it or get it.
Elijah is 4 1/2 and he can do most things himself, so then adding a newborn that needs everything done, it was like starting all over again. I get it now.
I thought it was very strange I was feeling like I was when I first had Elijah, but this is my second baby, so I was like "Am I insane or what?" Lol.
Thank you for explaining it. That's so spot on!!! Thank you so much.
Pixie - Thankyou. You too!
So how's AF things for everyone?
Have you got it back yet or anything?
I haven't yet, but I'm feeling like she's close by. :wall: :wall:
-
Kel - I made another batch of your Anzac cookies today :) mmmmmmmmmmmm
-
Just a quick question to everyone who is FF, how much are you giving each 'serve'?
Tenny - no AF here. Still have some very light bleeding tho, but every once and a whole I will get mild AF type pains which don't last very long. I hope I get at least some break from now till AF rears her ugly head again!
-
Hi everyone :)
Tannis- He's nice to me on & off :)
Mary- I'm glad her sleeping & her days are getting better :) How r u going?
Kel- Anytime sweety. Poor little Jesse  at least he's eating biscuits.
Mel- You are a fantastic mother, don't let anyone tell you ur a worse mother or watever, & whoever they are. You are doing a great job. And I agree with tenny. You would of have left but hope you have a great night & the hyatt :) Yay for the new pram, wat did u get?
Pixie- Hope u had a great lunch with ur friend. Hope ur cold deosn't get worse sweety, look after urself :) That's great the beth behaved herself well done.
Pink- She looks adorable :)
Tenny- Sweety, you know wat I feel like I'm not a mother, to me it hasn't sunk in yet, everyones like wat does it feel to be a mother, I'm like yeah no it hasn't sunk in, but I love being a mum.
-
Kel- could I plz have recipe for anzac biscuits? :)
Tenny- I got my AF last wednesday.
Pink- I'm giving Jonathan 100-120mls every four hours & at night only when he wakes up :)
-
Tasia.. here it is..
Anzac Biscuits
1 cup rolled oates
1 cup plain flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup coconut
125g butter
2 tablespoons golden syrup
1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda
1 tablespoon boiling water
Combine oats, flour, sugar & coconut. Combine butter and golden syrup. Stir over gentle heat until melted. Mix soda with boiling water, add to butter mixture, stir into dry ingredients. Place tablespoonfuls of mixture on oven tray lined with baking paper, allow room for spreading. bake in oven at 150 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Pink.. i usually just go off whats on the tin tbh. Keira was having 100mls until 2 days ago and is now having 150mls each feed. My midwife said that 100mls would be sufficent for her weight.. but we could see at the end of each feed she wanted more as she would cry as soon as we stopped and she had finished the bottle. Since we've been giving her the 150mls she is so much more content.
Pixie.. oh yumo! Ill get around to making some again.. lol one day!
Tenny.. yeh its weird just having another baby around hey. Jesse and Elijah are so independent is just strange having another person whos now so dependant on us.
Well im off to bed.
Night all!
-
AF! God no, I have just finished with bleeding post delivery..... but hopefully it will be a while because we're BFing.
-
Kel- Thanx for the recipe sweety, nite xoxoxoxoxox
-
Morning all!
Tenny.. yeh i think i have AF right now (as of yesterday). Ive had bleeding since Keira was born. Well on and off. Like i get it come and then look like its on its way out and gone and then more bleeding. But this time round ive got AF pains with it so im thinking this is it.. being im not BF either. Hope so as im over wearing a pad! lol
Jesse seems to be picking up.. hopefully! Though i was up a few times in the night to him. He was just moaning and when i went in he was asleep. So not sure if he was kinda like sleep talking or what? Weird.
Have a nice weekend everyone!
-
Pink: Well done for increasing your supply....a bit is better than nothing. Motilium will work great! I had it with Jayden and I was having to express at least 100ml before I could feed him in the mornings (he slept through from 7wks). Was the Dr ok with prescribing it? Dr's here were very reluctant to give it to me as producing milk is a side effect not what it is prescribed for. 1 Dr tried to tell me it will go through to the baby and may harm him, I told her I'd done my research there was no evidence of doing any harm to mum or bub and the LC had recommended it and I'm sure she knows. Good luck with it anyway! Ava is just beautiful!!! I love the pro shot!! Happy 1 month for yesterday Ava!!
Mez: Thanks Mez....its amazing how fast they grow up, I had a few ppl say she looked a couple of mths old wearing that hoodie. Thats fantastic that Izzy is sleeping longer for you.
Kell: Thats great you have your MIL there to help out. Maybe you can keep Jesse in his bed now if he is associating sick with the cot (thats if you want him in a bed now of course). When they are sick you just give them what they will eat and keep down. Jayden kept asking for juice yesterday and a bottle...but he is still eating. He was at SIL#1's yesterday and when I picked him up he had a temp of 39.1, took him straight hom and gave him Dymadon then SIL#1 (she came home with me) took his temp again and it was 40.2 so he had a bath which brough his temp back down, but its pretty scary when they are getting high temps like that! I wanted 3 kids too but seriously thinking 2 is plenty, Chris doesn't want anymore anyway so its an easy decision. Thats great Keira is doing so well!
:welcome: back Mel....we missed you!! PND has crossed my mind a lot too, but I don't think it is I think its just adjusting to a new situation. Keep an eye on it though and get help if you even slightly think you need it and I am always here.
ThePixie: YAY for Beth being good when you were out! Both Jayden and Ashlea were always good when we were out Ashlea still is of course but Jayden is getting to be a bit of a handful (to put it nicely ;)). I hope you cold doesn't take hold!!
Tenny: Glad you worked out what you were feeling, I could imagine it would be hard when Elijah is so independant then all of a sudden you have to get used to doing everything for someone again. I found it hard to dress Ashlea at first cause I'm used to Jayden helping like putting his own arm through the hole etc, then there is this tiny little person that doesn't know to do that. I mentioned the other day about bleeding, I'm still bleeding a bit after delivery but it had stopped then started again. I asked the LC about if it could be AF (thinking thats why Ash refused to feed) she said it was too early and because I am B/F it should stay away. I didn't get AF back until I completely stopped B/F Jayden...hopefully that happens this time too.
Tasia: Do you pay pay any attention to DH when he is nasty to you? I ignore Chris most of the time...it gets easier to do after a while haha. It should be like that though hey? Bugger at getting AF back :(
My niece is getting a tattoo today, I'm going with her so I hope I don't feel the need to get another one!! Nothing else planned, I'll take J's temp when he wakes up and plan my day from that.
Ashlea's appt went well...She gained 190g so she is now 4250g. I don't have another appt now for 2 weeks (unless something happens again!) I have a really badly cracked nipple though, it is so painful!! I have bought hydrogel breast pads as they are meant to help soothe and heal so we'll see how it goes. For those who are breastfeeding, how often does your baby poo? Ashlea had gone 6 days then 3 days then 2 days but as each day goes on she gets more and more distressed after her 8.30/9.30pm feed. So day 1 she is fine, day 2 she is a little distress and unsettled after then feed, day 3 she is very distressed and unsettled for at least 1.5-2hrs after the feed then the next day she does a poo and she is fine again. LC suggested I massage her bottom hole....but I really don't want to do that. I am massaging her tummy and doing leg excerises which is meant to help which maybe it is seen as she has gone from 6days between to 2 days.
Well I think this post is long enough haha, I better get in the shower before J wakes up, I better try to put A back to sleep too!
Have a great day girls....and bear!
-
Tan - yeah I don't know if its PND or whatever, just hard to cope with DS at the moment. Last night he SCREAMED in the car for the whole 25 minute journey - and I'm talking high pitched straight into your brain kind of screaming - for no apparent reason. I'm ashamed to say that I did reach back and give him a whack - but I just couldn't take it. Before that DD had been screaming for about the same amount of time while walking out from the Hyatt, and I had just fed her, burped her, so she was just overtired and I just couldn't take anymore screaming after that!!! Bugger having three kids I say.. lol
Tenny - I wish mine was more independent - and asked more instead of screamed. I never thought it would be hard going from one that is 4.5 years and then having a newborn, seriously I thought it would be easier than having a toddler and going back there!!! I totally get why it would be challenging though - but I think you are doing a great job
Kel - I may have to steal that recipe too.
I don't think I have AF yet - I did start bleeding again slightly though - doh! Thought I had stopped!!!!!! Ahhhhh well......
Anastasia - thank you  And tell your nasty hubby to back off with the fat comments. Tell him he can carry the next baby if thats the case!!! ;)
Pink - we make up around 140ml each time - sometimes she leaves 50ml in the bottle, sometimes she drinks it all. However if she leaves 50ml she will want feeding in another two hours time..... and those pics are amazing - such a cutie!!!
Helllooooooooooo to everyone else. I have a toddler chanting at my knee at the moment "more more more more duice.. more duice.. duice... more.. more... "
I think he wants more juice.
Hyatt was OK last night, was good seeing my old workmates again and having a slice of yummy pizza. DS just wanted to run around everywhere so DH was kept busy chasing him all night (seriously, he was never at the table at all) whilst I dealt with DD and chatted to my boss' wife. Spoke to one of the solicitors there as well (I'm a legal secretary btw) and she told me of a position that they are holding open for me for when I get back. So only another 8 weeks and I'll be back at work. Don't know whether I want the position or not, or if I will request another position there (basically I just get whatever I want) so lots to think about. Course its all dependent on whether I get DD into daycare cos if I don't - yup can't work!!!!!!
I think we are going to sell our house too... so gotta start cleaning that up and painting walls etc (specially the one that had a hole in it the other day from the plumber!)

Tannis.. yep we're doing the same atm with the food. Whatever he will eat (minus dairy etc) he can have. This morning hes just been hoeing into the potato chips. Poor Jayden. Glad his temp came back down. Hope it is fine this morning too. Boy kids are a worry arent they! Im not BF but i know they can go up to 10 days without a poo. Maybe you can just massage it but with a wipe rather than your hand. I know with Keira, when ive thought shes finished doing a poo and ive gone to change her nappy and wiped her bum shes then continued to do more. So maybe it will work?
Mel.. oh re the PND, ive thought i have it coming on too until i spoke to my CHN the other week about it. She said it doesnt normally come in until around week 8 and up until then it is very common to still experience the baby blues. Especially if you are just run down, have lack of sleep and not to mension have another whingey toddler. But you are doing great hun. You are a wonderful mum and you are a wonderful person. Just how you can come on here and even though you may be feeling down you can still come and make us all laugh and put a smile on our faces. Im so glad ive met (well cyber met lol) such a wonder selfless person.. i just wish we lived closer. Just make sure you look after yourself ok hun, and if you can, try and do something for yourself each day.. even if it is just to sit down and have a cuppa.
Jesse has the worst scream too hun, know what you mean. Took him in the shower last night and he screamed so loud because i wouldnt let him bring his packet of potato chips in. Oh it was deafening! He too is so whingy and screamy lately. And he just does it for me.. not DH. All he does is whinge. And being sick on top of it is making his normal whingy self so much worse. But just take a deep breath hun.. ive heard they wont be like that forever.. oh i wish forever would hurry up and come though! ;)
-
Kel - Thank you  I needed to read that today
I didn't think it was PND - but its hard to admit when you aren't coping real well and wish someone would whip out a magic wand and erase those whinges!!!! :(
Thanks to everyone :grouphug:
Tan - I'm glad Jayden's temp came down (missed that from my first post!). Hope it was nothing to sinister?
Oh - and the pram I got was the Graco Quattro Tour....:)
-
Mel - Yeah, I didn't once think I'd be hard going from a 4.5yr to a newborn. I was more worried about Elijah and they way he'd handle it then how I'd go. You know, everyone and everything usually always gets put before yourself type thing.
Elijah has been really good with Hayden though. It's mostly just his attitude and not listening that's getting him into trouble. lol.
I hope you're feeling better today.
Hehe. How cute at your Aricyn chanting that. :cryinglaugh:
Tan - Great to hear Ashlea's appointment went great. Yay good weight gain! I hope your little mans temp is normal.
Pink - Hayden has about 130 - 140mls usually. I put 150 in sometimes but if he doesn't dirnk it all, it's no biggie. It's just there if he wants it.
I got to enjoy having a shower today. YAY! Instead of trying to drown out the whinges or crying from Hayden or Elijah asking for everything.
It's like they know you just want to relax so they start up. :p
Bbl.
xx
Have a fantastic day.

Good morning beautiful mummies :)
Well got up at 8.00 to feed Jonathan, he was just staring at the ceiling, I was ****ing myself laughing when I saw him & he smiled :) My morning was a bit busy I changed the bed sheets, changed Jonathan bassinette sheets, did the laundry (still doing it, not quiet finished), sterlise bottles which I do everyday. So now I'm on here before I have to wake Jonathan up in like ummm now. Hope u all had a good morning.
Tannis- No I don't pay attention to DH when he talk to me like that, wat he says goes in one ear out the other, I don't have time or energy to argue with him anymore, I had enough.
Mel- When we were arguing about the weight thing, I said to him "if you want to have a 2nd baby, & u don't want me to get fat u get pregnant & see if u like it tell me if it's easy or hard & then I'll ***** to u" lol.
Kel- LOL I wish we all lived closer, hey we should all buy a mansion house & live together with our babies, or NOT with our babies lol.
-
Tasia - Hi. We must have posted at the same time. Lol. Awh. It's great when they wake up in a good mood. Hayden usually wakes up and just stares around sometimes just smiling to himself.
Wow. Your little man is 7weeks already. How fast has it gone. Omg.
-
Tenny- lol I know it it just flyyyyyyyyyyyyyys, why can't they stay little hehehehe. AWWW Hayden's cute :) Ok sweety I will leave it there as I do need to feed the hungry monster lol, I'll chat to u later & to everyone else  xoxoxoxoxox

Morning all,
Well another day and another day of routine well at least for me. I can't believe how quickly your days just go having a baby, and your work is never ending. I give all the mummy's with toddlers all the praise  cause I freak out some days with just the one. Isabel is sleeping at the moment and I have managed to do the washing (clothes) and vacuum the house need to mop but I just don't have the energy and it can wait.
Tannis - I don't know if the Zantac is working for Izzy cause she is still arching her back and kicking her legs straight when I feed her but I will see it's only been a week.
Tenny - How are you doing today sweet, it's nice to have a shower without the interruptions hey, I tend to do it when my DH is home and he looks after the little one and just enjoy it that much more.
Pink - Love your photos sweet Ava is just gorgeous. I give Izzy 120mls but sometimes increase it to 150mls as she is still hungry after she finishes.
Kell - so glad that your little man is feeling better hopefully he keeps on improving.
Mel - I too am like you at times and I only have the one. I just sometimes can't handle being a mum especially when she is crying for no reason at all. I have sometimes put myself to sleep crying just cause it's all too much and I haven't had much sleep. You're doing well and are a wonderful mum don't ever doubt yourself
Well I think I'll go and have some lunch while I can. BBL tonight.
-
I second what Ayapi said - all you mums with toddlers and older kids are doing a fantastic job....:clap::clap:
Mel honey, what kel said.... seriously, just the other day the Bear and I were saying "I wish Mel would get her computer fixed, BB is just not the same without her!" Hope A is just going through an adjustment phase that will be over quickly and he starts behaving better :pray: In the meantime remember you're doing a great job and it is bloody difficult.
and Kel, same goes for you.
Well, we have had a funny morning, FIL came to the markets with us, and then MIL met up with us for brunch. We all came back to our place (poor little DD was screaming for her lunch as she hadn't been fed since 8.30) then my Dad turned up. My mother is coming over later so we will have all the real grandparents in one day. But why is it that we are the ones with a 3 week old infant and they are the ones who can't seem to organise themselves?
Anyway, :hello: everyone.... still got that cold so still trying to take it easy.
-
Mary- Hey sweety I'm glad u can talk to us, & I'm sure things will get better
Pixie- Hope u get better soon sweety.
I third that Of wat Mary said, all you fantastic, beautiful mums with older kids & toddlers are doing a marvellous job WELL DONE MUMS :)

We had the health centre visit on Thurs and Maddi's put on 640g in 13 days so she's now 3.9 kg, havent had much of a chance to get online lately been sleeping whenever I can to recover from a cold/flu type thing Ive had recently and its looks like the worst is gone so hopefully Ill be on here a bit more now.
Had a great night last night Maddi slept 930 - 230, 3-730 then 8-1045 and she only went to sleep at 3pm this afternoon, so Im expecting her to wake at 6 or 7ish, then hopefully she'll stay awake for a while then sleep alright again. But we have to leav her at 630 tomorrow morning to drop the car off to be fixed, the suspension's siezed so Ill have no car all week & DF has had to borrow a car from MIL which I cant drive because I havent driven a manual since I got my licence 6 years ago and I cant fit the pram in it.
This is probly TMI but has anyone else got bad constipation since the birth?
Tannis - Maddi is BF and she poo's between 1 - 4 times a day
Ayapi - I so get you on the lack of energy, once DD's gone to sleep & you get a chance to do something & you just want to crash on the couch
Tenny - yay on the relaxing shower, the only time I get to have a shower without screaming in the background is Sundays coz DF is home & normally she'll end up with me in the shower anyway
Mel - I agree the hardest thing is to admit you cant handle it,my breaking point was Friday night DD had been screaming for 3 hours, tried feeding, burping, bathing, singing, walking, changing nappy, laying down, holding upright, dummy & nothing worked. I ended up ringing DF in tears at 845 (he works until 9pm on fridays) asking when he was coming home. I hadnt eaten since lunch, when he got home I fed her and went straight to bed, then I was fine in the morning. So I think it was lack of sleep & not feeling well on my part
Hello everyone else Ive missed. Hope you all had a great weekend
-
Hi all.
Hope we are having a great weekend that's soon to be over hehehehe.
Skittlebub- I too been having bad constipation don't know why. But have been drinking heaps of water & fruit.
Tannis- Jonathan poos every 2-3rd day. I asked the nurse why he only does it every 2-3rd day & she said it's normal. I don't like my maternal nurse I want to change, can I change? I feel uncomtorble around her I don't know why, I'm getting a bad vibe from her.
 Hi to Mary, Mel, Tenny, Pixie, Belle, Kell, Jess, Feeb & to everyone else who I miss :)

Anastasia hay there of course u can change mchn. Yes normal not to poo everyday some do some dont

Hi all
Well am back from Mums house. I had a great time. Callum was so excited to see mum and dad. Was very cute. Liam was a good boy and they couldnt believe how good his is. We are getting lots of smiles and goooooing now. Its so wonderful as the more I talk to him and he smiles I think that maybe he CAN hear me.
No AF here as yet thank god. Not looking forward to that!!!
So when are us Sydney ladies going to have another meet up.
Zee wont be at work as some one tried to break in and stuffed up the shutter doors so shop is closed until the boss decides what he is going to do with the door. He only paid $3000 about 4 months ago to get it fixed.
Well came home and DD and DH has painted Callums room. It look so fresh and great. He is in bed (thats right in his own bed ) and Im hopeing with a new paint job he will think oh wow look at my room and stay in bed. That is it no more in my bed.
Well better head off and get a early night.
Take care all.
bye for now.
