Feeb- Yeah good, Jonathan is good to. He is awake usually he'll sleep now right till 12pm for his next bottle but yeah no, he's wide awake. So i hope he will fall asleep after his 12pm bottle fingers cross, cause I'm really tired. I cannot wait till the melb meet up :)
Mel: I thought I was getting PND for a little bit but, I think I was just really down about the feeding thing. I know its hard (esp in a car) but if Jayden screams like that I just ignore him and turn the music up a bit louder. I don't like to admit when I can't handle things and there has been a few times already that I just think I'm not cut out for being a mother of 2.....I definitely don't want 3 now haha. Thats great you had a good night out anyway! Just remember I am here if you need to chat....Oh I am coming down to the Sunny Coast 27/28 Sept. We should meet up somewhere, I'll find out what motel we are staying at I think its called the Oaks. We are coming down for my nephew's 1st bday but I am sure I can sneak away for a while ;)
Kell: How's Jesse going? Jayden's temp was still up yesterday morning but went down pretty quickly, seems to be fine now. I didn't know that about PND that it sets in around 8wks I thought it was just anytime other than the 1st few days which would be baby blues. I think its not PND though just dealing with a toddler and a newborn, you, Mel and I have all got toddlers of similar age plus newborns and we seem to be having the same thought of PND so maybe its not that its just needing to adjust to a new situation....well I hope thats all it is anyway!
Tasia: I know what you mean about having enough! I just got a lecture on the way I spend our money....because I spent money from my account instead of the credit card. I'm not so worried about how often she poos I guess I just worry about how distressed she gets when she hasn't done one. She did do it 2 days in a row, so I think her system is just working itself out. I agree with Feeb, jsut go to another clinic if you can, I wouldn't want to tell the MCHN that I didn't want to see her. I am lucky up here as there is only 1 place to go and the LC that I see is fantastic. There was only 1 MCHN when I had Jayden that I didn't like at 1st but she turned out ok. GOod luck I hope you find someone you are comfortable with, is it what she says or how she says things do you think?
Mez: Thanks for the praise! I remember when I had Jayden and I didn't have enough time to do everything then....Its worse now of course but if you have good time management skills (which I don't!) things would be easier. Does Izzy bring up her wind easy or is that the the zantac is for? Do you burp her during her feed or just after?

Sal: What a great night you had! I'm trying to top Ashlea up at midnight or 1am so she sleeps through until 6am it is working but last night she only fed from 1 side then fell asleep and wouldn't wake up, so I had to express the other side (recommended by the LC), I'm hoping she wakes enough to feed tonight. No constipation since birth...but before the birth OMG thats another story! WOW thats a lot of poo haha
Missy: Thats great that Liam is smiling and gooing and esp that you think he can hear you! Ashlea smiled the other day (not a wind smile) She is also gooing a bit now. How exciting for Callum to have a freshly painted room, fingers crossed he stays in there. Not sure I have (or someone else) has mentioned but have you tried putting a gate across his door? I have that for Jayden otherwise he would be wandering around the house or in my room at night.
Feeb: HOw are you going?
We went to the Multicultural Festival today, Ashlea was an angel! I fed her before we left and she slept nearly the whole time we were there and if she didn't sleep she just layed in the pram not making a sound. Jayden was exhausted from walking around and because it was so HOT! He loved the animal farm and the aboriginal dancing. No plans for tomorrow, just finish the washing I started today hehe. I am going to try to have a productive day at home instead of doing nothing all day...I get in a rut when I stay home, I have no idea why! Well time to wake Ashlea up for a feed.

Well looks like 6am is the get up time in my house atm *joy*. Not for Keira though, shes still all warm and cosy in her bed grr so not fair! lol. Ah well hopefully Jesse will start sleeping a little longer soon :pray:
Jesse is doing so much better than this time last week! He has picked up alot. My girlfriend told me about a certain milk her doctor recommended for her son when he had gastro, that he would keep down. So i got some yesterday for Jesse and started him on it yesterday. So far so good. He kept it down last night so gave him a little more today. So slowly will have to build him back up again.
Tannis.. yeh thats what she said when i said i thought i might be touching on getting it. She said up until then its still part of the baby blues and that with PND youre down all the time.. every day. But i think youre right.. we are all going through a similar thing with our babies and toddlers.. it must just be the adjustment to another baby aswell. But its nice to know someone else is going through it too iykwim :) Glad you had a nice day out!
Missy.. thats a great idea. Hopefully he does take to it and stay in there! Jesse's started sleeping in his big bed as of 4 days ago just during the day. Seems to be working well. Was after he was sick for the 2nd time in his cot he didnt want to go in there so i put him in the big bed and it worked. Not game to of a night as yet though.. we both need to catch up on our sleep before that happens!

Well slowly getting back into our normal routine this week. Have a heap of washing to do and house work. Oh! I went to buy a dustbuster yesterday.. how much would you expect to pay for one? Well BigW's cheapest was $70! Then Target's was $99! For a dustbuster????? I wouldve thought more like $40? Gonna keep shopping around.. but i so need one in this house!!!!
Kell: I hope Jesse sleeps in a bit for you soon! Ashlea is usually up around 6 or 6.30am I try to keep her sleeping cause I'm not ready but I know I shouldn't really...its just I have been going to bed at like 3am the last couple of nights, 6am just isn't a good time to get up haha. I think its only that a few of us are going through the same sort of feelings that I have admitted to them as well...least we have each other for support if we are down :)
Try Ebay for dustbuster, we got one a few months ago....it is a vital household item with a toddler! We paid about $40 brand new.

Awww had the worst night last night. Liam woke up at 12.30am for a feed then at 1 Callum woke up, I put him back then 1.15 again Callum came back into my room, I put him back, 2 or after 2 he was in our bed...grrrr then 4.30 Liam had the worst pains so had him in bed with us too. He was trying to do poo and ended up doing it at 6.30. So it wasnt the best night. Going to have a sleep today.

I just got back from the dentist..had to have a filling, will have 3 more next monday. I also got a referal for an oral surgeon cause I have to have my 4 wisdom and 4 3rd molars taken out before braces can go on.. OMG 8 teeth!!!! Will have to stay in hospital over night:( Its also going to cost about 11K all up :wall:
Missy- Oh no, will he just close the shop down? maybe he should open it up somewhere else?

Mary- Hun I cant remember how many times I have put myself to sleep crying when Laila was 1st born.. it can be such a stressfull time when they are crying for hrs on end for no reason.
Mel- :hug: hun I know how you feel, felt ive been at breaking point a few times with DD just screaming/crying etc and trying to fix her up while DS wants his milk, nappy change etc.

Sal - I hate it when bubs have afternoons like that!! So many times I email DH and say WHEN ARE YOU LEAVING WORK!!! - and he only works till 5pm!!!!!! LOL... I think sometimes my emails start around 1ish... lol.... her weight gains were great, you must be one proud mummy!!!
Kel and Tan - yup I think we are all feeling the same lovies!!! Wish we all lived closer - Tan you absolutely MUST come and visit when you are down here. I don't know where that motel is though - what suburb hon? Glad Jesse is getting better Kel - poor little munchkin.

Tannis - Izzy is on Zantac cause of her reflux, she doesn't bring up that much milk but when she does she pretty much swallows it again giving her a tummy ache. I also burb her during and after her feed. She is getting better though just very grizzly when she doesn't go to sleep on time and gets over tired. Very painful when that happens.
Mel - You're very welcome hun if we don't praise ourselves who is going to ;) So glad that you had a good night last night it's nice when it all goes as planned hey!
Kell - Yeah I would have said $40 for a dustbuster but just look around or try e-bay. Yes I have lots of house cleaning to do too but I just haven't got the energy at the moment.

I'm thinking I should have slept when both kids were asleep....They are both asleep still but its too late now. I was up until 3am this morning, uploading pics on FB then stayed up to attempt to give Ashlea a dream feed then Chris was snoring extra loud last night/this morning then Ash woke at about 6.30am. No rest for the wicked though! I better go prepare something for dinner...Chicken and rice I think.
Tan - no special drugs just panadol and nurofen - yes together.... lol Yup Alex heads is about 15 mins drive from where we live ( and about 3 mins drive from DH's work)..definitely have to catch up - even if its at the local maccas so the kids can play together in the playground and we can have a cuppa!!!!!
Zee - THATS what I was going to mention (thanks Tan) 11k.. crikey you would want to have a stunningly beautiful mouth full of healthy teeth after that my friend!!!!!!

Tannis.. im the same. I really should sleep during the day when Jesse and Keira are but im never tired during the day! Yet when 5pm hits im a zombie and too late then! Nah i dont think its bad. I use to do the same with Jesse. Id just keep going back in and putting his dummy in or whatever. I refused to get up before 7am. But it worked (until now lol). He would normally just lay in be and talk to himself until i came in.
Zee.. holey crap thats alot of money. I hate how dentist charge so much! I need a filling but cant afford it really atm. I dont envy you you poor thing having to have teeth pulled. Well Jesse seems back to his old self hooray. Poos are pretty much back to their normal stinky self! So we're going to venture out today. Its been nearly 2 weeks since we've been out so will be nice to get him out of the house.

I can't believe its still taking an hour for M to finish her bottle... its driving me crazy!!! At least now she goes 2.5 - 3 hours between feeds so I don't feel like I'm feeding ALL the time!!!!!
Ah well, she's asleep on me, have to try and put her down without waking her. Sesame Street is finished so better go play with DS and try to clean the house at the same time....

Mel - Izzy was the same but now finishes it within the half hour and that's with me changing her nappy in-between. Have fun cleaning and playing, make sure you get some rest in there too (somehow) ;)

Well we had a pretty hard early morning Izzy had her feed at 4am and then decided that she wanted to cry for the rest of the morning until like 7am when I finally got her to sleep. She slept till 9am, had another feed and is now down since 10am. I really don't know why she isn't sleeping very well, I ended up giving her the dummy just to stretch out my sleep time. I rang my DH in tears cause I just couldn't cope anymore not that he can help me being in Germany :doh:Oh well another day another screaming baby to deal with...
I might go and make a cuppa tea while I have a chance hopefully that will cheer me up along with some chocolate..

M has been screaming a lot more lately too - might have to try her on the infacol if it continues cos I can't stand screaming for hours on end!!!! She had a feed at 4am too, and didn't want to go back to sleep - I probably got her back down at around 5.30? then A was up at 5.40 so DH let me sleep in till 6.40... lol ... Ahhh.. gotta love sleep deprivation!!!!!
Well I've had my chocolate ... might clean the kitchen (already cleaned up the loungeroom, A was SUPPOSED to be helping me but he didn't.. ) and then i can relax and have a cuppa and buy more nappies online... hehe

Ayapi oh hun its hard work alone my dh away again but only for a few days hubbs dont get why we get upset.
Jacob also doesnt sleep that well at times las night went down 2400 up again 0130 down 0230 up agaon 0500 down 0630 up 0830 down 1000 up at 1130.
he has not done a poo since fri so that may contribute.
I changed him to infant nappies on fri and since then dont seem to have the same heavy wet nappies as he used to, hoping just cause diff nappies and nothing else.

Well liam and I both got colds, Im alot worse then he is and just relaxing.
I am also out of a job as my job has desided to shut shop after the damage that was done so im no longer working. So more time for Liam. Im ok about it but the extra money was great.
Cant wait to meet up again. Im free next week too. Just not monday or tuesday.

Missy - Sorry to hear about your job, but yeah you'll get more special time with Liam. YAY! I hope you both feel better with your colds. Hayden and I are finally getting past ours thank god. It makes me worry extra during the night when he's all snotty with his breathing, yah know.
Mel - Sounds like your DD is getting into a routine with her feeding. That's great. It sucks when it's like all you ever do is feed them constantly cause time flies that fast between feeds, then by the time you can rest you have to get up and start dinner or hang washing out. It's a never ending cycle. Lol.
Mez - Big hugs! You're doing a fantastic job as a mummy. I still call my DP crying at work half the time and even though he can't do anything it makes me feel better that he listens and tries to help as best he can. Just to hear their voice helps, I think.
I hope the rest of the days your DP is away go really really fastttt.
Zee - Your teeth will look amazing afterwards. Braces are so worth it. I had braces when I was in highschool. I love my teeth. You poor thing having to have teeth out though. I'd prob cry my eyes out. I didn't need any taken out. I hope you're going great and the feeding is going well too.

I'm proud of you guys and I don't think I'd be able to handle it as well as you ladies are doing it. You are awesome people and I hope your DP/DH's realise how lucky they are to have such great mummys for their children.
Wow. That's a first. I got through a post without having to stop and start or type one handed.
Hayden has been really sooky with me lately. He basically just wants me to hold him all the time. Sometimes he'll settle for DP, but most of the time lately he will only settle properly if I've got him. I guess his cold hasn't helped and he just wants his mummy all the time. I dunno.
Anyways, we had our 6week checkup yesterday. Everything is going fine. Hayden is healthy and all that jazz. The results from the placenta testing came back fine, so that was good too, and the other results came back normal aswell. So I was cheerin'!!!
Got my first Gardasil vaccination yesterday aswell. I was trying to explain to DS1 that he'll be having needles in a few weeks and it'll be fine, cause mummy just had one and she's fine. It didn't really work and I'm dreading that day even more.
Got the pill again. Lol. Fun fun. :P

After Elijah we waited a bit over the 6 weeks, and since I had stitches too, I was a bit reluctant, you know. This time is weird, like I am def. not ready for it and it's 6weeks and I even had less stitches this time.

Yep, BTDT and it was fine. was about 2 weeks after having the baby. but then I had no stitches or anything so there was nothing to worry about there. I was a little worried it would hurt but it was fine. Of course most of the time I'm too knackered to think about it much!:

But I think it's very individual thing and depends a lot on how your birth was and if you're still in pain or whatever. So take your time and wait until you feel ready for it.

Tenny - no DTD here!!! My tummy is still wayyyy too sore to be thinking about that, and besides - too tired in this house to even think about doing anything like that!!! That takes energy...hehe

Mary- Hunny your doing great, being a parent isnt easy at all and its also a 24-7 job... we cant just knock off at 5.
There was days when Laila was a baby or when she was sick when I thought I could just run away or just cry and cry.
It would be easier if they could just tell us what was wrong with them:wall: but even at 20months old Laila is a great talker but when she is upset/tired etc she just whinges instead of talking *sigh*
Things do get easier though, I always tell people that the 1st 6 weeks is the hardest :hug:

Thanks to all who are so supportive of the new mummy (ME). I know that it will get better which is what is keeping me going at the moment, just can't wait till my DH comes home to give me that break. On the positive note Izzy has been giving me lots of coos and even a laugh today which was just precious.
Zee - Oh hun good luck with your dentist apt on Monday I'm sure you will have the best looking teeth in town.
Tenny - Yep we have DTD about 4 weeks after giving birth as I felt ready, I thought that it might hurt cause of the c-section but it was all good, haven't done it since as I have been so exhausted :( When your ready I'm sure that it will happen no rush though.

Missy - Sorry about your job but on the up side you spend more time with Liam. Hope you get better too from your cold I think I'm coming down with one too which I'm not happy about. Sending you lots of :hug:
Zee - why leave your claim for the baby bonus? It's not taxable so you may as well get the claim in before the benefit is means tested.

Zee.. um.. why would you leave it until next tax? Plus you need to hand that form in to put Lucas on your medicare card and up any family assistance you get. Id be applying asap before they change the terms and you only get it in fortnightly payments. I think you also have a time limit to claim it. lol.. if you dont want it, take us all out for lunch :lol: . im the same with my bleeding.. think its gone then the bugger comes back. So over it. I still have no birth certificate either.. but they were quick to charge my card!
Tenny.. thanks hun. Oh noo ehh DTD. Im like Zee.. still bleeding so no chance. But yeh im still not 100% downstairs either. And dont think that will heal completely until the bleeding has stopped and im no longer wearing pads. With Jesse it was about 3 months lol. Or even more. I had a bad recovery so there wasnt any chance of any earlier than that. Hoping for my DH's sake its not that long.. but hes great and nice and patient lol. But i really dont know what im gonna do about contraceptives. Dont want another baby any time soon thats for sure!! Oh thats great your 6 week check up went well and the results were all negative!

Mez.. oh big hugs hun. I know how you feel. Ive been having alot of those melt down moments today. Its horrible when you cant help them when theyre crying isnt it. Unfortunately it will be the same for a long time. But just remember you are doing a great job. Our crazy babies just like to keep us on our toes is what it is! Thank you hun youre a doll. Wouldve been nice if Keira didnt scream all day while out at the shops. Oh the joys! ;)

Well yes as i mensioned.. went out with Kristy today to Castle Towers and what wonderful children i have.. NOT! Keira cried all morning, Jesse whinged and threw tanties. Ehh!!!!!! What is with them!! Drove me nuts. Dont know how Kristy can be so patient with her kids! Man i respect and envy you woman!! I completely forgot about all the things i wanted to look for.. like my DUSTBUSTER! DOH! Will have to take the baby carrier next time im out and try Keira in that i think.

Well took Jonathan to doc 2d for his first immunisation :( He only cried for like 1 minute. I had tears in my eyes, but I was strong. He also has cradle cap between his eyes & a little bit on his eyebrows, my god this morning it was so red but now it settled down. She gave me this cream that I have to apply it on his forehead & she said to me if it doesn't heal in a few weeks, I have to go back.
Mary- You poor thing, I'm sure things will be fine soon. And ur hubby will be home soon too. Hope chocolates cheered u up. Looking forward to meeting you & princess Izzy :hug:
