Kellxx - I feel for poor little Jesse. It is like he has figured out that the food made him be sick, and he is too scared to eat anything. maybe ask him if there is anything that he would like and tell him he can pick it out from the shops or something, and then you could go get it with him like an adventure. or you could try some sweet yoghurt, maybe you could tell him it is special and won't make him feel sick so he feels reassured. he will start eating again soon I am sure, it was just probably a big shock to his system, having never been sick before.

Missy- Awww Liam had his needles aswell :(, I was originally just taking Lucas to the clinic nurse thats now at the childrens doc for his 6 week check up (yep a week late) and she said she might as well do the needles today instead of me coming back next week.
Yeah I met her when I went up to your house, she answered the door. She is such a great help for you. Damn Kmart didnt have it in stock even though it was on layby so I had to go back tonight and pick it up, DH is setting it up now.. so much for his xmas pressie.

Kellxx- I wonder if its an age thing? Laila goes through that from time to time, she hasnt really ate anything for 3 days now... she has done this a few times before. Banana smoothies are grezat when they are like this.

Feeb- WHAT?? Sorry but she shouldnt have been near Jacob, she should know better. I wont let anyone with coldsores near Laila or Lucas because when my sister was 3 months old my uncle kissed her when he had a coldsore (this was 14 yrs ago) and she got so sick, started having fits etc and stayed in hospital for a few months. She had got Encephalitis from it. Im not trying to scare you but it is serious (im sure you knew this already though)

Sydney peoples- You can come to my place for meet ups aswell (if I can get involved with your meet up kell, Kristy & Missy). I was thinking about that today cause the older ones get so bored in the prams.. After xmas there will be heaps of stuff for the kids to do here cause Laila is getting a swing/slide set, sand pit rocker thing that someone sits on 1 end and someone sits on the other end & cubby house. Then there is the play gym and jumping castle that she got last yr.

Jess- Hmmm see i have a diff prob, I have no boobs!! Im suprised that I have any milk LOL

Mary- Time does fly hey? Think we are all in such a daze cause we are tired LOL. Glad she is sleeping better. Lucas is ok, though he has a few bad hrs during the day aswell.. most babys do.

Mel- You changed your name!! Oh I tell DH he is gunna get home one day to find that I have ran away.

Mez: Izzy will sleep though soon enough, did you say the new formula is going good? Maybe once she is use to that she will settle better for you.

Jess: Love them while you've got them LOL....I hated them at first with Jayden but missed them when they went...luckily I went up a cup size anyway to what I was before I was pregnant...This time they are bigger but not as big as I was with Jayden, yet I have more milk this time, go figure haha

Zee: Aww poor Lucas having his needles too, how did he cope with it? I love banana smoothies but Jayden still will not touch any milk drink unless its in his bottle!

Kell: Whats Jesse's mood like during the day? Is he really quiet? Might be worth a trip to the Dr's if he doesn't yet again tomorrow?? I was talking to a friend today and she is having troubles with her toddler too and the baby is the good one....same in our house too, just lucky the babies are being good otherwise it would make dealing with toddler issues that much harder!

Jayden only asked for his dummy once today and I was able to distract him without causing a tantrum...he had plenty of tantrums today but not because of his dummy. He trashed his room the other day cause he wouldn't sleep (that is one of the photos) and today he pulled out all the tissues in his tissue box (got photos of that too but not uploaded). So I made him get a cushion from the lounge and go and sit in the corner for 5mins, he kept crying and saying "sorry mummy sorry" It was so cute I had to walk away so I didn't give in....The rest of the day he was an angel even though he didn't have a sleep, now he has gone to bed with no dummy again...he has also slept through for the past 5 nights (I think)..fingers crossed he keeps it up!

No real dramas with Ashlea, she is pretty much a dream baby! Although I changed her nappy at about 1am this morning and fed her, she definitely got milk and she fed well on 1 side and only a little on the other but this morning when she woke at 7am her nappy was dry, maybe 1 wee in it? That doesn't seem normal does it? She gets heaps of wet nappies during the day.

Wish there were more ppl in QLD, I'd love to have a mothers group! Can't wait to go down the Sunny Coast though, I'm so excited! Mel still figuring out what Chris is doing so I can work out what we can do.

Kell - I hope Jesse starts eating something, anything. It's so frustrating when they don't eat. :hug: :hug: :hug:

Tan - Cute pics. What a mess Jayden made. About the wet nappy, that happened to us today. I even thought DP had already changed Haydie cause he was dry, but all the other times his nappies are really full. Idk. It's weird.

Zee - Poor little man. I hope he was ok.

Tasia - Don't you hate when you have to go to an appointment like that and it's a total waste of time. Grr.

Tenny: Maybe we can start toilet training them if they aren't wetting overnight LOL I'll mention it at Ashlea's 6-8wk check, I'm not too concerned I guess as she is getting plenty during the day and she is healthy looking.

Tasia: When I went on maternity leave with Jayden centerlink booked me an appt with a job agency when I was 38 or 39wks pregnant. I had to go up 3 flights of stairs and answer all these qu's on what type of work I was looking for. I told her I wasn't looking for work and she asked me why not!?? "Umm cause I'm having a baby next week??" She goes "Oh ok just answer it for when you are returning to the workforce then" Not the sharpest tool in the shed!!

I should have gone to sleep earlier I think instead of waiting up for her feed....I do it everynight and its catching up with me.

I did 6kms in 20mins on the exercise bike today....I worked up such a sweat, it kinda felt good! Need to do something (other than situps, I hate them) to lose my stomach...any ideas??

Morning!

Well DH managed to get some banana and a piece of toast into Jesse last night! He only woke once during the night last night.. i think looking for a dummy? but he was out again once i found it for him. So break through i hope. Will see how we go today.

Tannis.. lol how cute of Jayden. Jesse's done that with the nappies before! And the wipes! Maybe she just didnt wake at all during the night and just didnt wee. I think aslong as they are having 5 wet nappies during the day, they say thats fine.

Zee.. thankyou, yeh ill give the smoothy a go today. Oh you reminded me i still need to get Keira's done.

Jessica.. thanks hun. Yeh i could give that a go. I try it with our pantry cupboard. Everything i pick out (which is basically everything from chips to biscuits etc) he just says no... even doesnt like chocolate or lollies! But thank you, i will give the shops a go (lol if he understands what im saying)

Missy.. aw i hope Liam is a bit better today. Jesse got a temp with his 2 month needles too. Just gave him panadol before his next lot of needles and he was fine. Might do it with Keira before hers actually.

Tenny.. sounds like things are going really well with Hayden! Oh i hear you with the attitudes in the family!

Well the Bear and I had a great night out last night - went for dinner and then to see Bill Bailey at the State Theatre. It was cripplingly funny. Ran into a friend of mine from work too. We were good and didn't ring up to check on the baby either! I love my stepmum sooooo much. Not only did she take beautiful care of Beth, I came home to discover she had folded and put away the laundry, unloaded the dishwasher, cleaned the teapot(!) and tidied up the change table! She and my sister had a lovely time looking after DD and are keen to do it again!
The Bear was on Sunrise this morning - two of his friends are doing a charity drive around Australia in a historic Bentley to raise money for the McGrath foundation and he went into Martin Place to support them. They showed pics of him chatting to his friend in Martin Place as they were throwing to an ad break.

JK - I think I got six tops yesterday, all up it cost about $70. I just went to cheap shops and got things on special. Some of the tops were only $7.50 ($15 for two) so I was pretty happy with my bargain hunting! Like you said it's not like you can wear nothing so you have to do something!

Pixie - I'm so jealous that you guys managed to go out for the night, DH and I haven't had US time yet. There isn't anyone to look after our little princess at the moment. Isabel lost her baby hair too (up top) but it's growing back now, she looked like crusty the clown at one stage :cryinglaugh:

No comment - breastfed babies pretty commonly do only one poo per week or something thereabouts... We usually only have to deal with wet nappies on a day to day basis!!

Glorious day here today - might take Alyssa out into the back yard and do some gardening. I need to prep this house to sell it, and there's gardening or painting to do! Too nice to be stuck in here painting =)

Mel is having a day away from her puter and spending some time with family. Think she'll be back either tonight or tomorrow. She gave no ETA, but can't imagine she'll stay away from BB for long! =)

Pixie & Bear - I'm glad you guys have a great night out. Wow. Go your stepmum. We haven't gone out just by ourselves yet either. Probably won't be a for a while longer aswell. With just Elijah, he's fine to go with my sister, etc, since he's old enough to do most things himself but adding Hayden to the mix is a different story. I must have missed the Bear on Sunrise, cause I just saw the car and no people. Damn. :(

Mez - I'm not sure about the poos. The most Hayden has donein a day is 2. He usually has a poo every few days. It's worth asking about though, just to make sure everything is alright, which I'm sure it is. It might be the forumla change? I'm not sure, sorry I can't help.

Kell - I hope Jesse eats more today. Poor little man.

We had our immunisations this morning. It wasn't as bad as I thought I'd be. They both were really good. Elijah thought if he didn't take his arms out of his long sleeved shirt then the lady wouldn't give him any needles. Lol. Hayden got woken up with the stuff they have to swallow, so he was only half awake when they gave him his needles. Such an awful way to be woken up. They both didn't that cry much. I thought I'd be much worse with Elijah kicking and screaming, etc but it went kinda smoothly. YAY!

Mez.. as long as theyre not diorhea then its proberly fine.. least her systems working fine! Keira atm poos once every 1-2 days.. however Jesse poos 3-5 times a day! Thanks hun.

Well Jesse has had 2 1/2 weetbix for breaky (he loves the weetbix) and had a fruit puree squeezy thing for morning tea. Have just sat him down in his high chair with his lunch and will see what happens (banana, some crackers with vegemite and some cheese). Trying not to pay any attention to him in hopes he just eats.

Liam is fine today so that is good. He was good last night and was fed at 8.30 and woke at 3 so I was happy with that. I went to bed as soon as he did at 9.15 so I had a good sleep.

Well pedi appoint at 3.15 so will let you all know how I go and what he says about his hernia.

Jayden, Ashlea and I went out for lunch with a friend today, we went to one of the pubs that has a kids area, it was so good...Jayden was really well behaved and Ashlea slept or just layed in the pram being a perfect angel! Just as well really, my friend has just gotten engaged and although they won't have kids for a while, I wouldn't want to put her off if my kids were feral!

Mez: We only get 1 poo every few days (sometimes 6). BF babies can poo every nappy or 1 in upto 2 weeks! FF babies I'm not sure but I know they should be going at least once a day. If the poo is normal looking I wouldn't worry but ask while you are there. Oh no potty training going on here yet, she was just still doing the poo when my niece went to change her nappy so instead of getting it on the bed we grabbed the potty and put her on haha My niece got a pic of the poo in there too but I didn't post that LOL.

Sal & Rach: Unlucky for you guys getting that much poo!! I worry about Ash when she hasn't done it for a while but I have been asured that its just her system so now I am grateful LOL.

I have been pritty busy these last few days. just trying to organise some of those things that get out of control when you have 3 babies.

today i cleaned the laundry. needed doing bad.

cann't do personals as i haven't had time to read this thread yet, you guys chat so much.

tomorrow im going to get Ikes school photos done in the morning and then im going to go to kell's house. the stupid council is turning off my power from 7.30am till 5pm. what a joke. what if i had nowere to go how could i look after my babies with no power. no power for us also means no water, no toilet, nothing.

Yeah I spent today at my SIL's today because DS was a right little - twat - yesterday and I had absolutely no patience to put up with his whinging anymore. It was constant yesterday. Stopped for an hour - whilst he was sleeping.. lol So I knew I had to get away today or else I would have started hitting him.

He had a great day with his cousins and I love my SIL so very much for making it a lovely relaxing day for me :)

Well today we had a good day. Did some more gardening, some washing and went to the Pedi and Liam is going great guns. YOU READY- Get this, My little man has put on 1.1kg in 4 weeks. 4 Weeks ago he was 4kg and today he is 5.1kg so my little one is putting on lots of weight. Cant you imagin how much weight he would be putting on if he wasnt chucking so much, oh he is still chucking alot evern though he is on thicking formular. He also told me that his hernia should be gone by 6 months and if not to go back to see him. Kell he said Liams was a small one. You said your GF's was about the same size, (Did you think it was big when you saw it) did her's go by 6 months??? Im not to worried about it as he said most correct themselves so that is cool.

Tannis Im glad you had a lovely time at luch. Glad the kiddies were good for you too.

Well had a good day today, hope u all did as well. Jonathan slept good last nite gave him his bottle at 12am as usual. Woke up at 4.45am gave him his bottle, then he woke up again at 8am bottle again. Was suppose to go to rug rats today, but my friend came to my house today beeping the horn like there was no tomorrow. I went outside with my pj's my hair all over the place & she said get ready we are going to northland for lunch at 11am, I will meet u there. I was looking forward to going to rug rats, because it was my god-daughter's 1st b'day today. Instead we went northland for lunch. It was 10am & I'm like rushing, thank-god I had Jonathan's stuff already packed the night before (I usually do when I have something on the next day). I hardly spoke cause I felt like ****, cause got my peroid yesterday sorry ladies TMI. Then we went to her sister's house but I didn't stay long only stayed 20mins. Then went to my hubby's factory stayed there for about 3 hrs then came home. That was my day today & it went really fast it felt like I didn't do anything.

Zee- Yeah I hate it when they do that.

Tannis- LOL u know wat I got home today & checked my letterbox & I recieved a letter from AMES employent & I have to go there on the 13 October, & yesterday when I rang centrelink they cancelled any appointment with AMES employment & they are still sending me appointment. God they screwed. I will have to ring AMES 2m & chat to them.

Pixie- hun u r so lucky, my hubby & I don't have US time, he said there is no US anymore we have a baby to look after now, I know I don't give u attention. Sad I know.

Missy - I'm glad your appt went well today and the news was good.

Mel - I'm glad today was a better day. :hug: Cute name change too. My DS1 has been snapping in and out of his attitude lately. Some days I'm almost at my wits end, luckily by that time it's 5 and DP is home. It's unbelievable. I hope tomorrow is a good day for you.

Pixie - I've been wondering lately if DS2's hair would fall out. I remember DS1's hair kinda fell out and went really light, compared to when he was born. I didn't ever see it anywhere either. Lol. It just disappears or something.

Kristy - That sucks about the power. We had no power a couple of times like that while I was pg, thank god or I dunno what I would have done if DS2 was born.I was so bored, and keeping DS1 occupied was the toughest too. Hope you have a great day with Kell.

DS2 has been so whingy this afternoon and tonight most likely from the immunisations today. He would just look at me and do his whingy cry when I put him down. Just wanted to be held ALL the time. My poor little man. Thank god for panadol though!

I wouldn't worry about it... If you cancelled yesterday and received the mail today, they probably posted it before the cancellation. Most of these companies do a large mail print one day, package and send the next day, and then there's still a day or two through australia post before it gets to you. It's not incompetence, it's just the time it takes =)

Mel - love the new name. Wonder if I should create a new name based on my babies ;) Since I only have one human baby I'd have to include the cats - what do you think of Gipilial?

Sorry, no more personals... Alyssa is down for her "long" sleep (she always does one sleep of 4 or 5 hours at this time of night), so I want to catch up on a few hours before she does the shorter sleeps (she almost always drops back to 3 or sometimes 2 hours for subsequent sleeps - sometimes she goes for 4)!

Well i have great news with Jesse.. he slept through the night!!!!!!!! First time since before he was sick! only downer was Keira didnt! grrrr! Its a conspiricy between them i tell you!!!! Though she woke at 4am which really isnt too bad being she was last fed at 9.30pm before that. DH fed her last and put her to bed (i was already asleep).. might have helped if he had put more blankets on her than he did and actually tucked in the ones he did cover her so they didnt cover her face! Lucky she woke up and kinda did her little squork/cry! Thats men for you!

Missy.. i still havent gotten a chance to ask my gf about it but she said shes going to call me today so will then for you. Not sure if hers is a hernia.. it did look very similar to Liam's though.. maybe not as dark in colour.. but hers is still there last time i saw her and that was only a few months ago. Maybe she just has an outty? not sure. But i vaguely remember my girlfriend saying she would have to have an op sometime to fix it. Will let you know more details when i talk to her. Hopefully Liam's is gone by 6 months.

Im going for my 6 week check up tomorrow ( i know a little delayed lol). But have booked Keira in at the same time to see my doc for her chucking.. Im suspecting it is reflux. Might get her needles done then too. She is bringing up so much over the 4 hours after she is fed. Hours later after shes been fed it just looks like curdled milk in saliva and is stinky acidy like. Tried that Gaviscon stuff and it didnt make a difference and just made her constipated. So am going to see what the doc says, and if we need to start the AF formula or what. PITA if we do as mean all new teats! Though i think i read Avent do thickened formula ones? Does anyone know? But if it helps thats all that matters. I just have to say though, my little girl is such a sweetheart... Sometimes she even lets out a little whinge and her eyes start to water and go red after she brings stuff up, like it hurt.. and then she will look at you and give such a big smile. She is so smiley and happy when you talk to her.. gotta love her. :)

Thanks for the info. Im feeling ok about it now as he said it should be gone by 6 months. Chucking kids, oh tell me about it. Liam chucks from the time he has a feed to his next feed...lol...he evern chucks in his sleep. Pedi agreed that I keep him on thicken formular. Im not to concerned about it as he will most probably stop when he sits up but he is still putting on bulk weight so its all good. Awwww yay on jesse sleeping through. Bummer on you little girl. Missy - Love the baptism photos sweet you all look very happy and Liam is just adorable in his outfit. :cheer: for all the weight he has also put on, that's wonderful especially since he is throwing up all the time too. Which formula are you using??

Tenny - I'm not looking forward to Izzy getting her needles next week, I really do hope she does the opposite and sleeps rather than being whiny.

Well Isabel had her last feed yesterday at 5pm but didn't fall asleep until 7pm then slept until 12:15am woohoo... I couldn't believe it. Then had her next bottle and slept until 5am, had a little play in her cradle then I put her in our bed and slept till 7:30am. She is getting better with her sleeping but I just don't know how to get her to have her last bottle at around 10pm - 11pm and then sleep through till the morning? When she is asleep I really don't want to wake her cause it takes so long for her to go to sleep. Oh well at least she is sleeping longer now.

Tenny - Isabel is getting 150mls of thickened formula, although she doesn't always drink the full amount, but she will normally drink up to 120 - 130mls most feeds.

Kell - when I started Isabel on karicare AR I went up a size in teat now using number 2. I do believe that there is a teat for thicken milk in avent I read it somewhere?

Ayapi I was using Nestle's NAN 1HA Gold Easy to Digest formular with Karicare food thickener but now I have decided to put him on Karicare AR thickened Infant formular from Birth as I was sick of trying to find the Thickner all the time. It was getting to hard going from shop to shop. They do make AR in NAN but cant find that too. I'll see how he goes if he is getting to much poo pain ill try him on the Karicare AR HA Thickened formular. Yes Liam is using the fastest teats. YAY on Isabel sleeping longer. Tenny hun Liam is having (well when I had to put thickner in his bottle as well as formular it was 170mls) but now it only goes up to 160mls which he drinks most times. 90% of the time he will have it all and 10% of the time he will have 120-130mls. How much is Hayden having. I use to get Callum weighed once a week till he was 8 weeks then every month but Liam I get weighed 2 - 3 weekly. He has been weighed 2 time by the clinic and once by the pedi.

Hayden is having between 140 and 160ml. He doesn't always drink it, and he's a slow drinker too. It's frustrating some days. Elijah was a gutsy little piggie so he was always gulping it down and drinking it all. Lol.

We got Elijah weighed every week when he was only a baby, but this time with Hayden we've been doing it every 2 to 3 weeks. When the clinic is open is usually the days I don't feel like going out or the weather is horrible.

Afternoon all,

Well Isabel had her 8 week Health Nurse appointment today and all is well. She is now 4.73kgs has put on 435g in two weeks. Is now 55cm long and her head is 38.5cm. I think it's cause of the new formula I've put her on. I am very happy with how everything is going. I'm also feeling in control which is great cause I'm a very organised person it was driving me crazy that I wasn't in control. Isabel's next apt now is at 4 months so that's all good, just have to get her immunisations in October.

Tenny - I've been going every 2 weeks for Isabel's check up, her next one now is at 4 months of age.

It's a gorgeous day here in Melbourne so going to go outside and enjoy it a little before it gets dark.

Missy.. i totally forgot to ask my gf today but have just emailed her about the belly button. Yeh Keira chucks in her sleep too. Of a morning her sheets she laying on and blankets shes wrapped in are all pukey. Yeh Jesse was a pukey baby too.. though he didnt bring it up as much as she is hours after i dont think.. and didnt look like it hurt when he did. His stopped when he started sitting up. I never changed his formula. But Keira just seems alot worse i think than he was.

Mez.. i know what you mean.. i was in tears after Jesse's first lot of needles! Though think ill be alot better this time round since ive had to go through it so many times lol. Though still, its horrible seeing you babies in pain no matter what it is hey. Thats great Izzy is sleeping so much better and is alot more settled! Quick question re her reflux. Was she put on some medication before you tried the AR formula? Yeh i thought i read it too.. maybe it was on that little sticker on the side of the teats container? I'll have a look at the shops tomorrow as ive thrown ours out.

Tenny.. yeh i will need to change the teats either way i think, whether she goes on the AR or not. Shes on number 2 teats (2 holes) and is fussing so much as it is and taking forever to feed. So will be getting more either way i guess. But yeh if it is thicker, will be harder to get out. Re how much. She was drinking down 150mls without fail (well thats just the water, its prob really 160mls or so with the powder in it). Now she doesnt finish it. I think she must have had a growth spurt and has now slowed down so isnt needing as much? Shes drinking around 120mls i think. I havent weighed her since her 6 week check. Might do it tomorrow at the chemist.

Well Jesse and Isaac had a ball today, running around the yard and the house. Was so nice to see them so happy playing together.

Kell - Yes Isabel is on Zantac, she was on that with just the normal formula and is still on it with the AR. I am only using the number 2 teat for Isabel and she seems to be drinking it within half hour. I was told to when you need to stop to place it in hot water so that it doesn't get thicker.
