Mez.. oh ok. Yeh Keira fusses though on the number 2s. Like she sits and wiggles and kicks her legs and doesnt suck etc. When Jess did that i just went up in teats and seemed to be the problem. Oh really.. i thought half an hour was too long to be feeding? maybe im wrong.. i guess as long as shes happy thats all that matters ;) Did you find the Zantac helped at all on its own?

Hope everyone had a good day today> I went to my sister's house today & she did my hair colour, just touch up & she trimmed it as well. Then we went to Northland & I bought Jonathan one of those Baby Einstein toys. I also want to go buy him Gymini kick N' Play that cost $119.99, but I'm waiting for the sale to come so I will wait. I wanted so badly to buy it today but my sis was like wait for the sale to come. The Einstein I bought used to be $80.00 & it went down to $39.99.
Missy- The Christening photos look great, I'm glad it all went great, they are gorgeous photos :)
Kell- LOL I do want TTC, I have to wait for my next period to come & then we can start trying. My natropath wants to see wat my cycle on when I get my period. Yup I'm craaaaaazyyyy. Yayyyy for Jesse sleeping all night through.
Mary- I give Jonathan his last bottle at 12am, he doesn't get up in between 4-5am for his next bottle, then up at 8am for his next one, then 12pm, then 4pm and so on every four hours, but at nite I don't wake him. I was going to do it 1am instead of 12am but I'm to exhausted, we us ladies need our sleep as well. So we can interact & care for our bubba's :) I'm glad that everything went well on Izzy's appointment.
Tenny- Jonathan is having between 100mls-125mls sometimes he cries for more & I give it to him. The last check up for the nurse was 3 weeks ago my next one is next Tuesday as I changed MHN, but have not told the other MHN but I will, I just don't know wat to say to her. The last time Jonathan got weighed was 4.81kg.
SW- Alyssa is just too cute. LOL love the other baby in the bouncer.
SW - Cute photos. The other baby in the bouncer looks comfy.
Kell - We're going to go up to number 3 teats soon too. He's going alright most of the time with 2's but then other times squirms and kicks flat out like he can't get it out fast enough or something. It could be just his mood too, I'm not really sure.
Tasia - I hope your hair looks great. It's always nice to have your hair dyed or cut or something to pep you up, well it works for me when I'm down. Yeah, I'd wait for the sale too. Lol.

Kell - I found that the Zantac was working for like a week but then she started kicking and arching her back again and screaming so I was told to mix the thicken powder in her normal formula for every second feed. She was horrible without the thickened milk so I just changed it to full time and she is a dream on it now. I really can't wait till they grow out of it cause I hate seeing her in pain. I was told by the nurse if they feed for longer than an 1hour they are just playing. Good luck for your appointment today sweet.
Tasia - It's always nice to get your hair done hey. I'm sure it looks great and you're now ready for the christening on the weekend. I would wait too for the sales, it wont be long before they start again sweet.

Well we had a great night here last night.... I went to bed about 10 cause I wasn't feeling great and the Bear gave DD her last feed at about 11, and she slept through until 5am! And then, I fed her for five minutes and she fell back to sleep and wouldn't wake up to finish her feed.... I even changed her nappy but no she stayed asleep and didn't wake up until nearly 8! So that was great probably the longest uninterrupted sleep I've had since she left the NICU.
This morning had my 6 week check with the OB. All fine apart from the fact (*warning possible TMI*) that I've got a recurring cyst that has flared up again GRRRRR I rang yesterday to get some antibiotics for it and they faxed me a script so already on to it as far as treatment goes, but it's pretty painful so you can imagine that made the internal exam + pap smear + diaphragm fitting pretty damn uncomfortable!
Then took DD out to lunch with one of my besties, and to the office to see some work friends which was all good! She was really well behaved, slept through for about two hours, woke up and had a feed during lunch, and then was awake and happy while meeting the colleagues.... so we had a really good morning.
Anyhoo, stuff to do so back later :hello:
Well we're back.
Im all good re my check up. Got a script for the pill, she did a blood test.. no pap smear woo! she said to wait until December when im due.
Keira does have reflux so she told me to put her on AR formula. She said to start out every second feed to see how she goes with it, whether it agrees with her etc. So bought the Karicare AR formula and i found the Avent teats i was talking about. Theyre the pink ones, variable flow.. says on the front for Thickened Formula. So will give them a go too. Didnt get Keira immunised.. she said its best to wait until they are past the 2 months so thats cool. Another week or so we'll go back.
Mez.. i know what you mean. Every time Keira chucks after her feed her eyes go all red and watery and she crys a little. Shouldve heard the poor pet in the car on the way home after she puked 3 hours after her feed. Hopefully now with the AR formula it will help her. Ahh cool, re the time. Also maybe with the thick formula it might take a little longer? will see ;)

Well was meant to go to the doc for Callums heart murmer. He was checked out when he was one and found that he has a thickening in one of his arteries. Was in the shower at 10.30 Appointment was 3 and they said they had to cancelle untill tomorrow. I wasnt happy. So its tomorrow.

And I've just read through it now and Miss M has just woken up - grr.. she seems to be pretty happy though - she's cooing at the moment. She's a strange one - she looks at the walls and does this noise halfway between a laugh and a gasp - its very loud - and quite funny....

Had a good night last night - we fed her at 7pm and got her to sleep around 8.30 - then tried to wake her at 10.30 for a feed - she had about 30ml.. lol.. and then she went until 3.30am!!!! Woohoo!!!! And pretty much fell straight asleep after her bottle - so I was back asleep around 4.30 - yayyyy... then DS woke us up at 6.20... its either one or the other waking us up!!! Ah well.. we were running late this morning cos we are used to getting up before 6..lol
I'm sure I missed someone with personals... so HIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii to all and a big *mwah* and warm squishy hugs.....
p.s. SW - you already know what I think of your "baby" pics ;)
Mez - Your pictures are awesome. Her smile is adorable! I wish Hayden would smile when he gets all swaddled. He's usually kicking and fighting, but he wakes up with a smile so that's something.
Kell - Glad your appointment went well and Keira's chucking is reflux. I hope the thickened formula helps. Poor little mite.
Pixie - Sounds like Beth had a great night. I hope she keeps it up for you both. I hope the cyst settles down. I couldn't even imagine how painful it is. :hug:

Missy - Grrr! I hate when people change appointments, especially when you have to get kids ready then they call at the last minute. It makes me wanna scream. I hope the appointment isn't cancelled again and everything turns out well.

Tenny: Ashlea has been getting weighed every 1-2 weeks since birth, since feeding isn't an issue now *touch wood* will probably be every month. Love the pic of the boys, I wish I could get a pic of Jayden and Ash like that...Jayden is too young to stay still for more than 5 seconds. Ashlea has the double chin too hehe so cute!
Mez: WOW what great weight gain! I must plan a trip to Melb while the weather is nice ;). Love the pics of Izzy, I cant get a pic of Ash smiling she always does it when the camera isn't around.

Mel: I so know that feeling, I have been reading all the posts and can comment on pics but as far as posting goes....never the time (could be cause I talk too much LOL :rolleyes:). Ash stares at walls too even if she has toys there. Can't remember if I said but yes we are coming down Saturday (27/09) and leave Sunday. Is there a pub or something close by that has a kids indoor play area? That would be perfect so the boys can play and if there is a big TV there Chris can watch the GF there too. Woohoo on the great sleep! Mehkelti is just beautiful!
Yesterday arve SIL#1 came over which was great cause she ran around with Jayden while I did washing etc, then she was about to leave when I mentioned that I was looking forward to a quiet night with the kids as Chris was going to squash, so she said "Oh if you're going to be on your own I'll stay" Grrrr....I WANTED a night with no one here so she held Ashlea while I cooked dinner for us all, then SIL#3 and niece came over too so no quiet night at all!
Ashlea was great last night, she fed and went to sleep at about 9.30pm I gave her a dream feed at 12.30am and she slept through until almost 7am! I think this is her routine for now and I am very grateful for it! Jayden is also sleeping through again and he hasn't had his dummy for 5 days now!
I went up to my work today as I haven't been there in a while and they are begging me to come back early! Its a great feeling being needed but they have buckleys of getting me back any time soon LOL. Still trying to find something I can do from home, FDC seems to be the only thing...work won't be impressed though!

well good morning everyone. I thought I better get on nice and early or else I never manage to get on. It might help if I was ever at home, but beween catching up with friends and mothers group etc I am out all the time. Actually Monday I was home, but little Miss decided that there wasn't enough stimulus at home and wanted me to entertain her all day long, and then Tuesday I took her in to see the friends I made at my last work before she was born, and Wednesday spent the day with my dad out at my nanna's place, and then yesterday had Mothers group and then MCH appointment straight after. Georgia has put on 370gms in 2 weeks. I think this is pretty good for BF baby, and she certainly seems chubbier. she was 8 weeks yesterday though and is still only 3.8 kilos, everyone still comments on what a little girl she is, but I feel like she is huge now. lol. she is very bright and smiles and talks all the time. Is anyone else's baby's favourite place their change table??? Today we are going out for lunch with my SIL her DS, and a mutual friend and her two DD's. Should be good, cos the weather in Melbourne is supposed to be very nice today. Anyway that is my news.
Kellxx - well it sounds like Jesse is finally feeling better, and that is great that he has started to sleep and eat properly again. My six week appointment with the pedi has been delayed too. when we were at the hospital he said to me that we might as well make it at 8 weeks instead of 6 and that way he can give her her immunisations as well.
Pixie - well done on the night out. we've been out at night, but Georgia has come with us so far. we'll have to arrange a night out soon though when I can be bothered expressing some milk for her so that my mum could feed her. Good work on the 6 tops for $70. I'll have to come shopping with you. By the way, where is the bear these days. haven't seen him on for a while.
Mez - Georgia does poo pretty much every time I feed her, or if not then she does it generally fairly soon after. Occasionally we might go half a day without one, but then we get like 3 in the space of a couple of hours. For a BF baby she sure does poo a lot. her poo is generally like pumpkin soup, but more watery. charming I know, and you should hear it, it isn't lady like at all. :cryinglaugh:
SW - good luck with all the gardening and painting. I hope your house sells quickly. It is hard to know with this market. sometimes they sell really well and other times they can sit around for ages, despite how nice the house is. probably not so bad at the moment though, now that interest rates have settled down a bit. Oh and if you are going to make a new name like Mel has done by combining her bubs names, then I think you should put the AL first not at the end... she is number 1 child after all. ;)
Tasia - hi hon. good bargain hunting with the baby einstein toy. well done. I'll have to inveset in a good mobile for Georgia's cot soon. I might just make one for the bassinette though. she won't be in there for much longer, and a few colourful paper cut outs will be enough of an attraction for her at the moment. I will just draw on some eyes and a smile and she should be happy.
Missy - bummer on the AF. As a BF mum, I am hoping to at least get the benefit of no period for a while yet. if i can I would love not to have it all summer. Have started taking the mini pill though, but I don't think that should bring it on any sooner than it would have naturally. I hope not anyway.

Well she did it again! Slept through after her 11pm feed (she went to bed at midnight) all the way till 5am! and then we put her down again at 6.30 and the Bear and I went off and had a lovely little snooze and just woke up. Feeling great now!
Last night we made bread again so just having some freshly made toast with marmalade mmmmmmm drool.
Tan- know just what you mean! I love my work colleagues and my job is cushy but I don't really want to go back.... and I'm not sure it will be there by next June. But FDC I really couldn't do. I think I would throttle the little blighters.:

Well last night would have to have been Izzy's best sleep! We feed her at 5pm, she finally fell asleep at 7pm and then didn't wake until 1:30am woohoo had a feed and then slept until 5am feed then slept until 8.30am. She is currently asleep now too.
Pixie - Yeah I love the wrap she seems to wiggle out of the normal wrap but this one she can't. I only have one though. Good to hear that Bear is still around.
Kell - Have fun at Kristy's for play day, I'm sure that you'll all have a great ol' time.
Jess - Yes Izzy's poos are just the same, not very lady like when they do them :cryinglaugh: Oh and yes Izzy loves her change table we have a bug on there that she just adores and laughs and coos with, very funny to see. Have fun today sweet, it is a gorgeous day here in Melbourne.

Im still recovering fromthis horrible flu. How ru all? I took Tara to the health clinic yesterday shes doing well now 4.5kgs, 54cm long and head circ of 37cm. Im still not doing well, my issues are causing our marriage to break down really bad so Im not doing so well. Not sure what to do at the moment where to start fixing things. Tara still not sleeping well during the night so I havent had much sleep.

Big :hug: Belle!! I hope you and your DH can work it out. Maybe once Tara starts sleeping a bit more and you get more sleep then the other issues may not seem so bad?? I know how bad I can get when I am sleep deprived. I hope your flu goes away soon, that can't be helping things either! Does your DH help out with the girls to give you a break sometimes?

Qu. about the needles.... When Jayden was little, the Chemist told me to give Jayden dymadon before we get his needles done, the midwives on the other hand said give him dymadon if he has a reaction (ie temp, whingy etc). The way I see it, I don't take panadol in case I get a headache, I'd take it once I have a headache. I was lucky with Jayden, he didn't get a reaction to his needles execpt a slight temp with his 12mth ones. I don't know if I should give Ash something JIC or chance it and give her some after if she needs it. Just wanted to know your thoughts, I don't think either is right or wrong just personal choice I guess.
Well Ashlea is still asleep (she fell asleep in the pram about 11.30am) and Jayden is still awake! I better check the state of his room!
Tan - I checked out their website - they have a kids room, but its like for older kids? I suppose we could still give it a go, but we would have to be there supervising both of them (give us a good chance to CHAT!!) LOL lemme know, cos otherwise I'll have to put my thinking cap on..
Belle - oh honey :hug: Relationships change sooo much with the birth of each child that you have. I'm lucky that DH just lets me get up him, even if he has done NOTHING, and just sucks it up and gets over it, even if I'm being irrational... lol.... Remember that we are all here for you...:hug:

re. baby pain relief for needles, just in case anyone has a life and doesn't spend their days listening to news radio, it was announced today that there is a significant link between babies under 1 year being given paracetamol and the rise in asthma, eczema and the likes.

Re: Needles. I didn't give either of my boys anything prior the the needles. I was actually going to give Haydie something this time but I forgot cause I was running really late. Elijah only had nurafen once afterwards. Haydie had it twice, cause everytime he'd move his legs he'd whinge even while sleeping.

Heya all, been trying to get on all arvo but Lucas hasnt slept since bout 12.30:wall: he is asleep in my arms atm.
Im having a horrible day, been crying most of it. I wanna move back to my home town..dont like it much but my friends are there. Im so lonely, dont know anyone really so all I do is sit at home 7 days a week. The friends I have made online live to far away, live on the other side of Sydney, dont have kids so work during the week & party during the weekend. Sadly Belle and I go to meet up but something comes up on mine or her end:( DH works long weird hrs.. I actually wait for MIL's daily phone calls so I have someone to talk to. I never get asked to do anything.
Booked Laila into daycare this arvo for 2 days a week starting in Jan 09.. I cried at that aswell LOL. At least her daycare is in my street so I can go spy on her if I get upset:lol:
PIL will be here at 8 cause its DH's Bday tomorrow and they will be at a wedding...
Still havnt stopped bleeding since I had Lucas... when will it end:wall:
My pump stopped working this morning so had to fork out another couple of hundred for another 1 cause I cant wait to claim it on warrenty.. god I hope tomorrow is a better day.
Belle- Hope you all get better ASAP hun:hug: Im sure things will get back on track for you and DH once Tara starts to settle better etc.
Tan- I give panadole but couldnt this time cause I hadnt booked in for Lucas needles just his 6 week check up (though he was 7 weeks) and she said instead of me coming back she would just do it.

Oh Zee hun, we are all here for you sweet. I'm a little like you, I really only have one really close friend but no-one else all you guys keep me going here. But now that I've started Mothers group I am getting to know mums with babies around the same age as Izzy and who live in the same area. My thoughts for you is can't you join a Mothers group even though this is your second bub?? If you need to talk let me know and PM me sweet. Sending you lots of BIG :hug:
Belle - Oh hun I hope you get over your flu real soon. I'm sure once Tara gets more settled things will start to work out for you and your DH. Just remember to take some YOU time and communicate with DH even if it is hard to do.

Belle - of course you can come to the next sydney meet - we missed you at the last one! And hope things get better for you. If you have the same flu we had its bloody awful so I know how you feel.
DD has been a bit of a grumpy bum today. she also seems to be getting a rash on her face and head. I'm wondering if its' something to do with the antibiotics I'm taking. Just can't really think of much else that has changed that might be causing it.

Pixie - what does the rash look like? Izzy has it on her face head too but it's heat rash for her, I seem to overheat her when I put her in bed cause I think that she is going to be cold but really she isn't.

well today was fun, but of course Georgia decided that she didn't want to sleep in her pram whilst we were out, and wanted hugs right when my lunch came. Luckily I had ordered a caramelised onion and mushroom tart with some goats cheese sprinkled on top, and so I just got one of my friends to hold Georgia whilst I cut it up into bite size pieces and then I could let her sleep in my arms whilst I ate. Funnily she was happy to go back into her pram after I finished eating... what is with kids having a sixth sense about parents eating or being just about to eat food???
Pixie - hi there, does Beth rash look pimply. like tiny little pimply dots all over her cheeks, and maybe her forehead. If so it could be what they used to call a milk rash. Not sure what the correct name is. Georgia got hers at about 5 weeks and it was gone by 7 weeks. Most babies get it (at least most BF babies, not sure about formula) between the rash and the hair loss, little Georgia was not at her best in those two weeks, of course she was still the most beautiful baby ever to me. :lol:
Hey Mez - if I didn't live so far away from you I would be popping over all the time. if you'd have me of course. Still I'm happy to drive so would be happy to catch up much more than we currently do. In fact DH and I would love if you and your DH wanted to come over for lunch on a weekend some time soon. what do you think?
Zee honey, I am so sorry that you have had a miserable day and that you feel lonely. I agree with Mez, you should definitely try to get into a mothers group, I am sure that would help a bit. I can imagine how hard it would be not knowing anyone, people just aren't so friendly with their neighbours anymore are they? if you don't have a mothers group in your area, maybe you can join a playgroup or something like that. Also I would check with someone about the bleeding. I don't think that you necessarily should still be bleeding. how long did it last with Laila?
Hi feeb - I think that just having another adult in the house makes a big difference to how tired you feel. I'm glad you are out and about having fun too. I am planning to stay in a couple of days next week after Gigi's imunisations in case she has a reaction or is extra sleepy.
Hey Tan - I am not planning on giving Georgia panadol unless she needs it. I heard the news item that SW was referring to as well, but I don't think I would risk her having a fever without giving her panadol cos babies can get very sick from being overheated. Also she only has little legs so if they are really sore and she can't sleep then I might use it too. However I was reading an article recently which said that breastfeeding whilst the child gets the needle results in less crying and pain, because something in the milk release endorphins in the baby which makes them feel good. so I guess if she is crying a lot when we get home I will probably just give her lots of extra feeds to get her through it.
Hi Belle - oh you poor thing. that is awful for you that you are having marriage problems. just hang in there hon if you can. just a suggestion, feel free to completely disregard it, but maybe try writing a letter to your DH which says all the things that you are feeling, cos I know that sometimes when we try to talk to our partners about sensitive issues they can get defensive or try to start a discussion and you end up off track and not saying what you really need to say. You could give him the letter and tell him you would be happy to talk to him about everything in it after he has read the whole thing. anyway just an idea, but I wouldn't do it when either of you are exceptionally tired, because then no one is ever reasonable.

Well Jesse and Isaac had a great time again today.. they are such great mates. Kristy and i had a wonderful time too.
Keira's going great guns on the AR formula. Giving it to her every second feed and shes not bring up anything with it. Then the feeds she's having the normal stuff she is. So just hoping she poos tomorrow and then we can make the switch.
Zee.. sorry youre feeling down. I thought you and FionaJill were good friends and always meet up? Perhaps you could try looking for a mothers group in your area? Wow, a couple of hundred for a breast pump?? what type are you using?? You might've been better off just hiring one? Hope tomorrows a better day for you.

Re needles. I didnt give Jesse any panadol before his first lot of needles and he had a terrible few days and night after them, was just so irritable and had a temperature. Gave it to him with all the others before and he was fine. Will be doing the same with Keira.
Belle.. sorry youre having a hard time. I hope things get better for you soon. Of course youre welcome to the meet ups, youve always been invited to the previous ones too.
Mez.. woohoooooo for Izzy's long sleep! So happy shes come good for you honey and that formula is making her so much more content.
Pixie.. oh another good baby hey! Thats great shes sleeping so well! You must have super booby milk! :lol: Yeh what does the rash look like? Is it pimply? If so, sounds like a hormone rash.. very common and nothing wrong with it. It will just go after a few weeks. Doesnt effect bubs at all. Jesse was covered with it (have pics in his gallery). Keira got a little but not much at all.
Jessica.. thanks hun. Good to see you and hear Georgia is going so well. Yep! Keira loves the change table. No matter how hungry she may be.. when i put her down on there all the smiles come out!
Jesse is getting better each day (food wise).. maybe it was just my break down that kicked things back into swing lol.. Hes still waking each night though and crying out now until i go in and lay him down.. which is annoying! Keiras still a sleeping angel and sleeping through. Hopefully hes worn out from today with Isaac and he sleeps through!
