Tan - Isabel is doing really well in her cot, I am also trying out the grobags during the day to see how she goes so fingers crossed by the time she hits 3 months she will be in grobags and sleeping full time in her cot.

Kell - Oh sweet too bad about the daycare but at least you're on a waiting list. I hope you find a mobile too that you like, Big W do have some lovely ones.

Missy - It's so nice when they start to smile all the time and coo and goo hey, I love it when Isabel does it too, I just want to squeeze her with joy but I just give her lots of cuddles and kisses :p

Mel - How is Mehkelti's rash going sweet? Did the Dr give you anything to put on it?

Pixie - what wonderful news about Beth's stats sounds like she is doing really well. Isabel spits out her dummy like a hundred times before she finally falls asleep too which drives me nuts cause I have to put it back in each time :rofl:

Well we had the best night Isabel had a feed at 6:30pm woke at 12:30am for her next feed and then slept until 6am this morning... I have to say I feel so refreshed and rested, she is now sleeping again :confetti: I know that it might only be a one off but I have to say I was very proud of her this morning. She was a happy little bubs too after it all.

It's a gorgeous morning here in Melbourne, going to finish my mocha that DH make for me and go and have a shower before she wakes. Have a great day all..

Kel, bummer about the day care place. I guess if I'm going back to work next year I should start putting DD on waiting lists. But I soooooooo don't want to put her in daycare when she is 11 months old. Planning to ask my stepmother if she will look after her (we would pay her of course) but we should have a backup in case she doesn't want to.

Pixie - we must have been posting at the same time... Congrats on Beth sleeping through Isabel did the same thing for us last night too.

Missy - Oh I love the smell of fresh bread cooking.. It's so lovely.

Missy: YUMMMM!!! I love the smell of fresh bread!! Mel's a good girl isn't she!! Yeah Jayden gets heaps excited! I am shocked J did go to the toilet, the 1st time we were at the hospital visiting FIL so he had the choice of nappy or toilet...he chose toilet.

Kell: Jesse will be interested in TT'ing soon, Jayden didn't want a bar of it until last week. We have had a potty for a while and before he gets in the bath we ask if he wants to go, I never pushed him or made him sit...toys or books can encourage them though ;) I gave him bath toys that had a bit of water in them so they can "go potty" haha it worked. Jayden hasn't been interested today in it but it is only early I guess.

Mez: Thanks :)...I think she is beautiful but I'm bias LOL. Thats great Isabel is going great in her cot...how is mummy going with it? haha. Surprisingly Chris was worse than me when Jayden went into his cot, he kept finding excuses why he had to stay in our room...Too cold, won't hear him (despite having a monitor). Woohoo on Izzy's sleep! How good do ou feel after a good nights sleep after so many bad ones!

Rach: Beth's stats are fantastic...good job! Cetaphil thats it! Yeah that was good stuff! Wooho on Beth's sleep too!

We have this movie box thing and Jayden is watching Dora on it, between episodes I heard him saying C'mon Dora, C'mon...then the next episode started LOL I love all the things he says now!

Might go swimming at SIL's today if the wind stops, I need something to wear J out and get him away from the TV!

Good morning ladies,

I've been a little absent over the last few days, as I've been a little busy. I've given up trying to have a nap, I was letting Beth have a little tummy time on the bed, turned her over as she was grizzling then she grabbed my hand and pulled it onto her chest like a blanket and just started snoring...very cute!

I've been renting a workshop up on the northern beaches for the last 12 months as I've been building a car, a large chunk of what's been keeping me busy is that I was given two weeks notice to vacate the workshop. This has meant that I've been hastily bolting enough of the car together so that it can be moved, packing tools, parts and other paraphernalia and working out how to dismantle and transport the huge (8mx12m) mezzanine floor that I'd constructed inside the workshop using only my 14 year old BIL as assisting labour...nearly done now, one more big day of shifting stuff and it should be done.

Beth's discharge letter from the hospital is most interesting, amongst other things it states that Pixie had an epidural (she didn't), and that Beth was breathing autonomously within 7 minutes (she didn't). I was standing there watching the clock, worrying about how long it had been so I had a pretty clear idea of the time...especially when the batteries on the portable O2 sat monitor starting to fail after 30 minutes or so...

Meanwhile she's growing so much every day, although she's not really cooing yet, we're getting lots of smiles and she's getting more and more curious and interested in everything each day. I'm probably going to accept a new job offer over the next couple of days, so we're thinking about heading up to QLD for a quick break before I start, just trying to figure out the logistics of making it happen now.

Tan & Mel - Great photo - looked like you all had a good time

Missy...hmm...bread, we haven't made some for a couple of weeks now, might be time to make some soon.

Tenny - The dog is trying to assert itself over your little one by stealing the clothes. Dogs view the family as a pack which has a clear pecking order...the dog needs to know that it's at the bottom of the pack and the clothes are off limits.

SW - Good luck with the house thing - interested to see how you go with the not swaddling, we're a little way off from rolling over yet - some of our biggest smiles come from swaddling her, I think we have developed a technique that would baffle Houdini himself!

Mel & Tan - That's a great photo! You both look fantastic!

Bear - I can't believe the discharge papers are wrong. WTF?!? Congrats on the new job offer. That's great!
Thanks for that about the dog. I'll try harder. I think it's all basically to do with the way my sister treated him from the start. Like he was a baby and hardly ever got punished for doing the wrong thing. I was basically the only one who did anything about his naughty behaviour. I'm not mean or anything to him, but I do treat him like he's a dog. I'm so over it. Luckily in a couple weeks I won't have to deal with his cr@p anymore. :P

Pixie - YAY!!!!!!! Beth slept through. WHOOHOO! Beth's stats are awesome!! Hayden's in the 75th percentile too.

Tan - Your ticker is cuteeeeee. I'm glad J is gentle with Ash. I hope when/if we go on a long trip the kiddies sleep like yours did. Imagine if they both cracked it the whole way. What a nightmare that woulda been!!!!

Kell - Good luck with the other day care. I hope you can get Jesse in. Fingers crossed the phone you're after is at the shop and you don't have to drive all over the place to find it.

Missy - Lol. Yep, it's offical I'm a forum freak. :P Hayden coos and makes his little noises softly too. He's all smiles and all that jazz aswell. He does his whingey stuff then when he sees me and thinks I'm going to pick him up it's smiles and coos straight away. What a little devil. MmM Bread cooking.

Kristy - I'm back into 90210 too. I kinda love it but :shhh: hhehehehe

I really need to get some new photos & a family photo. :doh: I feel so lazy.

Geoff: OMG @ the discharge letter! Are you going to get them to do it again or it doesn't matter? Beth will be cooing in no time, Ash has just started to get really vocal which was great when I was on the phone to my parents the other day (they haven't met her yet).

Tenny: Thanks hun :) Jayden was really whingy on the way down until we gave him the iphone to watch Diego on, luckily Ash was sleeping most of the trip. How long have you had your sister's dog? We still haven't got a family photo either.

Bear - thats shocking about the letter... disgraceful. What kind of car are you puttin together?

Pixie - yay for sleep through!! I think mine is going to be the only baby that doesn't sleep through shortly!!! She is still up at 2.30 - whether we feed her at 10 or not... ahh welll..doesn't matter....

Had a morning in the park - must of worn DS out cos he fell asleep in the car at 11.10 and is still sleeping now. Even transferred from the car to cot ok!!! amazing... wasn't the best time for me in the park - have started a thread in boohoo forum about it.

Must go, cat on lap sniffing baby... oh and keenan is back at home now- still has to be kept away from pepper so he doesn't get too excited - can spread to their heart apparently and kill them!!!

I think my best bet will be come summer to sit him down when he starts to squat.. then he might put 2 and 2 together.Thats great though Jaydens doing so well! lol re the 2's.. spookey! Oh if its not one up its the other hey. I find that in my house. Though Keira has been pretty good lately.

Well good news for me, i found my cot mobile.. had to go to Penrith though as my local didnt have it! Damn! But Jesse and Keira were both little gems for me out today so made it easier. But did a drive by 2 more day care centres and ehh nooo yucko. Didnt look that great from the road. Found another that looks ok. But also theres a preschool pretty much behind our house. It looks awesome and would love to send him there. But starts from 3 years old. So am thinking of putting his name down there to start when he turns 3 and if i dont find anywhere else in the mean time ill just wait for that and keep him home still with me.

Ok gonna go make a cuppa while the munchkins are asleep.

Mel: Yeah I love the one Craig took too...she hasn't been too cute today! She has been pretty whingy and feeding lots, must be a growth spurt...so exhausting! Definitely come up soon! I can not do house work with Jayden around, he tries to help and of course makes it worse and takes me longer to clean up after him!

Tan it probably is a growth spurt, DD was like that, eating constantly the last two days and today she is basically been sleeping all day! she has been awake for like half an hour
Kel Yay for your two being good for you at the shops. I don't think we'll bother getting the letter corrected... I don't know how we would get hold of the right people etc, especially since they never even sent us a copy in the first place, although the letter had a note on it that a copy was to go to the parents.

Pixie.. i got ours when we discharged from the hospital. Well, being i came home early and was on the midwife program (where they come to your house), once they discharged me from that program they gave it to me on my last visit. BUt yeh, still.. very slack of them not getting it right hey.

Tan.. oh that was Jesse until not long ago too.. but he still has his horror days out. I like to bribe him now.. lol. Be a good boy for mummy and il buy you a matchbox car. I know bribing aint good but if it works and makes life easier im happy with it! I know what you mean about the house work. Same with bringing in or hanging out the washing. Jesse likes to help and hand me the clothes out fo the basket but when im not fast enough they get thrown on the ground :rolleyes:

Rach: Ashlea was awake and whingy most of the morning (although she did have 2 x 30-40min naps) but she went to sleep I think it was about 2.30pm and is still asleep now....thinking of waking her soon, surely she is hungry by now! I guess you guys know what happened in the birth, just document it yourself in Beth's baby book or something. I don't think I got a discharge letter, I did with Jayden....could be amounst other papers that they gave me.

I try the bribery thing too...matchbox cars are usually a winner, but not always. I was doing a rewards chart with him, but I have slacked off lately but he does get stickers for going to the toilet. LOL at the clothes ending up on the ground! Jayden has done that too, luckily he doesn't often want to help with hanging the clothes...he programs the washing machine though cause he loves the beeps and the water coming out :rolleyes:

Both my kids are asleep....Ash I will need to feed soon but Jayden I'm hoping is out for the night! Chris put a movie on for him while I was folding clothes, he rarely falls asleep during a movie but I guess he was pretty tired! Pizza night tonight too so no dinner to cook......LIttle miss is awake now better go

Havent been around the traps for few days girls been really busy DH has been home sick so looking after him and the girls. Had my first psychatrist appt today to help me get over my PND and OCD was quite interesting she gave me some books to read. She asked me who in my family had or has it, I think my dad did. Interesting to see its passed down. She said need to keep close eye on my kids :(

J fell asleep at 5.30pm last night, he woke at midnight wanting to go to the toilet (1st thing he said to me) so I took him and he did wee (woohoo) and back to bed, Chris went in there to lay with him and they both fell asleep until I woke Chris up at 6.30am for work....Lets hope J is in a great mood today after all that sleep! Ashee's been a little high maintenance....wanting to be held a bit more than normal, still think its just a growth spurt though...she slept great yesterday and last night. We are going to J's old FDC today for a play, we are walking there so I'm hoping J will walk the whole way there and back as I don't want to take the dbl pram (I don't know how to put it down again LOL).

Little miss is having a teary so I better get her & J dressed and ready to go at 9.30am

Sorry I haven't been on, been sick. I'm better now. I had throat & ear infection, my right ear was really red & had fluid. My whole body was aching me I felt like ****. So I'm feeling much better now :) This question is for anyone. Does ur baby/babies throw up just a little milk after a while? Or... Does ur baby/babies after let say 1 or 2 hours throw up white fluid?? Cause Jonathan always throwing up white fluid & I wonder why? Do u think I need to change my formula? He's on Karicare Gold Birth atm. I told MHN & she said it's nothing it's only because he is little & has sensitive stomach, but I don't know, any advice plz, I am willing to change formula, but not sure which one, maybe the thick Karicare but wat kind is it?

Anastasia - yeah M throws up after her feeds, but its nothing serious. Just a little extra. If he presents other signs of reflux however, then i would probably get him checked out. I wouldn't change formulas just yet - I usually only change formulas when their poo is getting hard, rabbit pellet type things..

Bear - woooahhhhhhhhhhh baby thats a NICE car.... bugger the plane - you guys can drive up here and visit me instead.... no room for SW obviously though.. Hmm... will have to get a trailer on the back and put a couch on there for her.. lol

Tan - thats great news about J and wees!!! Woohoo for him!!!!!

Hello to everyone else.

Didn't have the best night last night. Went to bed at 11pm... then she woke up at 2am, stuck the dummy in, woke up at 2.30 - had 40 ml of her bottle and was just screwing around with it, so then it was 20 minutes of screaming in her bed trying to get her back to sleep... grrrr... think I got back to sleep around 4am.... A woke up at 5am, luckily went back to sleep till 6....

But anyway.. won't last forever.. I'm thinking that she's in a habit now of waking up at that time, and she isn't really needing the feed - hence the drinking of 40ml and screwing around... so I might have to keep chucking in the dummy and see how that works....

Went for a walk this morning with both kids -OMG - the hills around here are SOOO bad... with him in the pram (which weighs 14kg itself - so he's 12.5, pram 14 and her on my front - 5kg...) no wonder I'm buggered!!!! LOL

Mel - Whoa. You go girl with the walk! I hate hills and I know I wouldn't be able to push a pram and babywear at the same time like you. Way to go! Ugh.. nappy rash. Your poor little man. :hug:

Mel.. oh sorry you had a bad night. You can always try giving her some warm water if she wakes at night. If she has any wind it can help settle it and settle her at the same time. If it is warm where you are, she might just be thursty also. Hope it gets better for you.

Well Jesse was had me up all night as usual. So over this with this boy. Keira isnt wanting all of her bottles atm, but seems fine and content and is growing. I think shes had her little growth spurt (hense her being so big-porker!) and is just having a break from it atm lol. Though we bathed her last night and she has to have her legs bent now to fit in the baby bath!! How is everyone else bathing atm? I have a lie down seat for the big bath we used for Jesse to put her in.. but ehh so much easier just using the baby bath. But we may have to step up to the big bath soon. Just had a look at Jesse's stats and yep he had his first big bath when he was 2 months and 3 days old.. pretty much same age as Keira now.

thanx Ten & Mel, He doesn't get upset after he throws a little milk up. And his poos are not hard. So maybe I should stop stressing, I just hate it when he throws a little milk up, it's annoying. Even the white fluid. Do ur babies get that too?

Tasia.. sorry honey i missed your post. Glad you are feeling better. Keira will always bring up a little when being burped. But prior to going onto the AR formula she would contantly bring up milk, or even stomach acids with curdled like milk in it hours after her feed. I noticed also that it hurt her when she brought it up (her eyes would water and go red). How much is he bringing up later on? Does it look to be hurting him? Jesse was always a puker too. He would bring up a little an hour or so after his feed but it wasnt much (Keira's was a fountain) and didnt cause him any distress.
You can try after feeding him, sitting him up for at least 20 minutes, either on your lap or in a bouncer/rocker. Putting a dummy in after a feed if he takes them as the sucking can help keep anything down. Also change his nappy before you feed rather than later as laying on his back and lifting his legs after a feed can push the milk back out. If you are concerned just go and see your GP. I did with Keira and she suggested the AR fomula. We can now take a bib off Keira after a feed and not worry shes going to get drenched!

Kell - We're doing baths and showers these days. Yeah, the baby bath is getting too small lengthwise for us too. We we move to our new place we'll have an actual bathtub. I can't wait. I haven't had a bathtub in my house since I was little. I'm excited.

I was actually thinking about bath seats or whatever the other day.
There was no need to get one with DS1 cause we didn't have a bath, so I don't know what to get.
So... What's good? What's not? Any suggestions and ideas would be great.

kell- sorry sweety i missed ur post to. He's not bringing up much milk just a little & also when he is lying down in his bouncer after a while he brings out a little more milk without being upset. It looks like that it doesn't hurt him him. I'm more concerned about the clear fluid he brings up, is that part of the milk? I change his nappy before he has a feed, I used to do it after & it was a big no no. I have tried sitting jonathan up for half an hour and he will still bring little milk up. I suppose that if he doesn't get upset he's ok.

Tenny.. you can get lie down ones that are plastic from BigW or Kmart. They are great! You can also get ones that are made from terry towelling.. they are terrible!! Bubs just slides of them! But the lay down one i found wonderful for Jesse. You dont need to hold them, they just lay in it. Ill post a pic of Jesse in his so you can see what it looks like.

Tasia.. id say the clear stuff is saliva? Keira would bring up the same too. Yeh i think as long as its not hurting them, theyre not upset alot (as in have trouble settling) and is not a full on amount (theyre still putting on weight fine) then it just comes up with wind because theyre bellies arent mature enough yet to keep it down. That was Jesse's case. But again, if youre ever concerned, get a second opinion and see your GP.

We have had a very busy week!!!!!!!!!!!

Today i returned to group personal training outdoors that i was doing pre preg! The new classes are mum and bubs sessions using prams and OMG i am sore!!! Jacob was good slept most of time.

We have had our 3rd osteopath session and not sure if helping or not! somedays very little spews other day exorist type chucking!

We r getting family pics done on sat by a bb market place member!!! omg trying to find a long sleeved white shirt for him was redicuolus!! in end i bought a short sleeved shirt and shorts set so i can use shirt as i have a gorgeous pp vest to go on top witjh smart pants, who knows what i will wear!! omg hair is feral and flabby all over!!

Kell - Is Jesse just unsettle and not sleeping for you sweet? I hope he does tonight so you can get some rest. We have been bathing Izzy in the laundry tub but now we have had showers with her, but will try out the bath tonight.

Well we have had another good day/night in this household. Isabel is sleeping in her grobag too now and doing really well. Tomorrow we are taking her for her 8 week immunisations and I have to say I'm freaking out. I'm sure Izzy will be fine I'm more worried about me which is why I have my DH coming to support ME lol.

Met up with Jessica and Georgia today which was lovely, but had to cut our outing short as poor little Georgia was a little unsettled. Man she has grown, big beautiful blue eyes.

Well better get some dinner on, going to make tuna bake tonight yummy.

Kell - Thanks for showing me a picture. How long did you use it for with Jesse?

Kristy - The photo looks FABULOUS! Are you happy with how they all turned out after having a hard time getting them done?

Feeb - Awesome about the mum and bubba classes. I'm glad he was a good boy too. It's always hard to find what you're looking for when you really need it for something isn't it. So frustrating. I hope the family snaps turn out fantastic.

Mel - Rice crackers are yummy. If only my ratbag would eat them and not just lick the flavour off the outside then give the sticky licked cracker to me. Yumyum :rolleyes:

I really don't know how I feel today. I had a bit of a go at DP before when he was having his lunch hour, but he deserved it. Just saying little things these past few days has gotten to me. Makes me feel like we're (Elijah, Hayden, and myself) a hassle.
He doesn't mean it for it to come across like that but seriously.. why can't he stop and think before saying it.

Mez - We must have been posting at the same time. I'm glad Izzy is sleeping great.
Immunisations are hard. My DP goes with me too. He's the one that holds them and I just stand back and cover my eyes. :( I hope Izzy goes alright with them and you too. :hug:

Tenny - we bath DD in the laundry tub or she goes in the shower with the Bear. She loves either, but the problem with the laundry tub is, she kicks off one side and bashes her head on the other side. silly girl! LOL
Tasia, Hope your ear infection is better. My DD does that thing with the milk too, its just a tiny bit. Kel she also brings up the curdled milk sometimes too, and her eyes go red and watery. I figure it's pretty normal at this age.
Mez, good luck with the shots and lucky you meeting up with JK and Georgia.

Mel you're starting to freak me out. do you know what we did this morning? We put a trailer on the back of our car and put a couch on it and drove to the blue mountains.... Has one of us posted about this or are you psychic???? My mum bought herself a house and bought our old sofa so we drove it up there for her. Her new place is pretty nice actually, and it was fun going for a drive but it got a bit long at the end, because the Bear needed to play musical trailers and put diesel in the car. DD was overdue for a feed but she was sooooo well behaved, slept almost the whole way and just had a short grizzle. Now I need to think of something to make for dinner because the Bear has been shifting stuff all week and is too knackered to cook.

Mum came back from perth today from seeing my Bro and it was great see her with my two girls. We went to lunch for mums birthday at our favourite italian place at Dee Why beach it was lovely day.

Pixie - You went to blue mountains? how great I love it there! Hows Beth's feeding? is she still having growth spurt? Tara still is at the moment :)

Tenny - hugs hon. Hope your arvo was better. You are not a hassle hon. Maybe he is finding it hard to deal with the kids?
