Babies Born July 16th ~31st 2008 #9

Hi Everyone

Just wanted to jump on and say hi. I haven't been on for a couple of days and there is so much news!

Mel - Congratulations on your store! I can't wait to have a look at your online shop. Best of Luck mate!
Zee - Congratulations hun. Hope you have an easy pregnancy and that you get all the support you need.
Kellx - Just in case I don't get back on BB over the next few days, I hope you have a beautiful naming day for Keira.
Ayapi - Lulu loves sleeping with a pillow as well, but I only let her drift off with it then move it away. I hope the sleeping thing gets better soon. We're going through restless nights as well and i know how exhausting it is. My DP is working really long hours at the mo and it is a struggle to get through such a long day with a tired baby on my own.
Kristy - Wow! your boys are so good with their food! I think it is going to take a long time for us to get to that level.

We are still on 4 or 5 bottles a day here but she's getting alot better with breakfast and will reach out for our toast or fruit. Any other time of the day though she won't even touch solids. I can't believe how strong she has become all of a sudden. She's pulling herself up into standing on her own, sitting, rolling and doing the crawl. Her crawl is pretty funny though - she puts both arms out at the same time and then follows though with each leg. She looks like a butterfly-stroke swimmer on dry land! lol.

Hello ladies, i'm lurking but not posting much....I'm sorry, I'm getting a little down and nervous as I am going back to work soon, I feel like I have wasted the time I have had off and now its nearly over!

Zee: OMG!! I couldn't believe it when I saw it on FB! Congratulations.....3 under 3 you brave girl!! I hope everything goes well and you have a smooth pregnancy!

How much milk are the bottle babies drinking now? I have to start preparing for when I go back to work :cry:

Anyway I'm off to make mug cake, chris is so addicted to them (and i bought dark choc bits to put in it ;))

Just quick. sebi is drinking a bottle, isaac playing cars and caleb is still asleep.
I love that my boys hold their own bottles now much easier.

Tannis- when do you start back at work? will the kids go to care together. Isaac is in pree school on a thursday and i hope the twins will join him in july. lol than its golf thursday for me and DH (DH has thursdays off too)

all you mummas who have gone back to work are champions. I went back after Isaac and hated it. I found that working and being mum was harder than having 3 bubs under 2. HEHE i'm going to avoid work as long as i can. lucky for me with the cost of daycare and all our other commitments for the boys (ie swimming lessons etc) i should be able to avoid it for a few years yet. or maybe forever if i'm lucky. but i'm lazy when it comes to work. my mum keeps saying "don't you need something else in your life" and i'm like nope i'm happy to stay home forever. maybe if i get bored i would do something easy just to socalise.

MArjella- the boys are doing great thanks. they are so different to Isaac. DS1 was still on mash at 12 months he just couldn't eat hard food at all.mind you he was 1 when he got his first tooth. all babies are different.

bought a new double stroller yesterday. its a childcare one from big W on sale. i still need my giant tripple for long shopping trips (its an adventure bugggy tripple awsome pram but huge) but this one will be good for short trips where isaac can walk.
also laybuyed some clothes for the boys just some hoodies and stuff. im going back for an oshcosh hoodie i saw in big w i should have gotten it but didn't its so cute.

well its raining here...bum.. hopefully it will clear by tomorrow. hopefully if it clears a little i will get a chance to put the wood shavings on my garden i have been trying to get done for ages.
and i better get my but into gear the naming day is in a month.

Kristy - wow your boys can eat, I struggle to get Izzy to eat her dinner at times but other times she eats so much. When is your naming day??

Tannis - when do you go back to work?? Oh I don't know when I'm going to go back I personally want to stay home until the little one goes to school if possible, or at least work part-time only a couple of days though. Plus I want to have another one real soon.

Maj - I hear you on doing it on your own. I feel the same way cause my DH really does try to help but really just plays with Izzy. Although saying that this morning he did keep her occupied for me cause I was up with her all night.

Mel - I'm with ya, I really don't know what my little one isn't sleeping either I hope she gets back into sleeping through the night it's very tiring.

Kell - good luck with your appointment sweet. Hope your back & neck feels better today for you. I'm taking Izzy to my parents today so that I can go to the Big W sale without her will be quicker really lol.

Us - well last night has to have been our worst night, I pretty much was up from 12:30am till 4am then I put her in bed with us and she played for a while before finally having a sleep until 5:30am :doh: so today I'm am very very tired.

Have been baking cake and decorating cakes all day. I decided to do the whole thing today as i had the time to. Baking didnt take as long as i thought it would. So have finished Keira's cake!!! Well, im just waiting for the fondant to set a little harder (prob by morning) so i can stick in the hearts. But man i am soooo impressed with myself. Her cake is awesome. I absolutely love it. Exactly what i wanted and its turned out so good. Will take some pics tomorrow for you all once i can get those heart stuck in. Youll see what i mean.

Think i have everything else ready. Picked up the balloons and helium today. Have made a collage frame. Will show you that shortly soon. Printed up a banner. Um. A photo for the candle table. Burnt the cd with her songs on it. Think ive done everything. I just hope this rain stops. I dont think its going to by Sunday. At least the IL's (where we're having it) have a huge undercover area.

Mez.. oh dear. I hope you get a better night tonight hun. Thank you. Yeh the pains are still there a little but alot better thanks. Of all times to pull a muscle, when youre wiping a bum lol.

Tan.. aww :hug: hun. When do you go back to work? Time just goes so fast doesnt it. Keiras having 3 bottles of 200mls (plus the formula powder so prob makes it about 220mls?). She wont drink any more than that. Shes having 3 meals also. Shes always been a small eater.

Majella.. haha awww cute re the butterfly. What a sweetheart. Good to hear shes going so well.

Kristy.. lol theyre boys.. wait until theyre teenagers! Theyll be eating you out of house and home!

Well think im gonna go to bed. Swimming tomorrow.. brrrrrrr its cold now the rains set in.

Well, we are all sick, sore throats, fever, headaches. Madam has a tooth through and I think she has what we have. Last night between her and the Bear I got woken up every hour :wall:

Kell: That cake is AWESOME!! I was meant to be having a Valentine's Day Party Saturday night....boring story why we didn't but it involved Chris (surprised?? LOL) anyway I was going to make a heart shaped cake and decorate it, ran out of time though and it wouldn't have turned out like yours!

Mez: I go back to work 10 March, still a couple of weeks, but its way too soon. Mortgage is too high for me to stay home. Sometimes I wish we didn't sell our last house as we'd be able to afford me to stay home longer.....this is a MUCH nicer house though, I will get used to it.....Just sad that I will never have any long period of time off again!

My niece is leaving for Uni next Sunday, she is always around helping out with the kids, babysits whenever I need her etc.....I'm going to miss her heaps, so are the kids....Jayden just loves her to pieces!

Awwww havent been in much. Just trying to clean the house up and do all the washing I have. Ive got loads and loads. Been busy at the gym, Im on a programe now and also doing most of the classes too. I spend alot of nights there but im looking good...heheh:D

Callum still hasnt wet the bed since that first time. Im so happy for him.

Liam is great. Almost sitting up unaided. He is such a good baby.

Mel your page is great hun. You should be very proud. Well done:clap:

thought i would pop in and say hi while the bous are happy.

Missy - you hot mumma, you should be proud of yourself, well done at the gym mate cant waite to see your new body at ikes party.

pixie- hope your better soon. it sux when everyone gets sick.

Ayapi- our naming day is on the 14th March. we still have heaps to do, i wish this rain would go away so i can get it all done. Dont worry if issy doesn't eat too much, isaac was a nightmare to feed he refused anything that wasn't mash or puree till he was almost 1. she will do everything in her own time. my boys eat great but they don't sit or crawl or well do anything else, every baby is different. actually even each twin is different. and BTW Izzy is geaogous such a little princess.

mel- your web site looks great.

as for us- we had a great time at Keiras naming day. the whole day went very smooth, kell's inlaws have the absolute best garden with an awsome water fountain.
we left the twins at home with mum and just took ike. and that cake didn't just look great it as yummy too. kell and i are doing a cake today for DH's b.day tomorrow, with fishing or under the sea theme.

it was our annavirsary yesterday and DH gave me a beautiful pendant for my chain its a heart and has white and yellow dimonds around it. I love it.

ok i know they are young but i thought i would try and give the twins their milk in sippy cups. so far they have had 4 and its been quite sucessful. so hopefully i can get rid of bottles early, we have cups with soft spouts (tommee teepee) so i guess its not too much different but easier than bottles and a step forward.

Tan - We're on either 4 or 5 bottles a day, we were cutting back to 3, with 3meals but he got a cold. He's on 240mls sometimes a little more. Sucks you have to go back to work. :hug: I'm sorry. I hope your niece goes well at Uni and the move it smooth. Hope you guys don't miss her too much.

We're all getting over our colds here. Haydie just has a cough now. We're going to start back on 3 meals again this week. He didn't really want much of the food during the daytime lately while he was sick. He's just scrunch it or just drop it and watch it fall, or play with the bowl/plate. Lol.
I think he's got the next 2 teeth coming soon, so I'm praying it's not back to those awful rough day and nights and they just come out nice and quietly. I think I have my hopes up too high though.
Sleeping he's been only waking about 5 or 6, and I just shove the dummy back in. Even though I wish there were no wake ups at all, but I'm happy it's just one and not 290354283 like before.

DS1's attitude has been horrible. He's going well at school, he is actually listening somewhat, just not as best as he could. He'll learn once he gets a bit more settled and into a routine. So his attitude is just at home to us. I'm hoping it passes soon.:pray:

Kell: I have plenty of babysitters but she was great during the week as she worked PT all the other nieces/SIL's either work FT or at school. She has been great company more than anything and Jayden loves her to pieces! Keira's naming day photos are fantastic!

Both Ashlea and Jayden didn't want to go to bed tonight, Ash was in bed at 7.30pm then I went to put Jayden to bed after I had a late dinner then Ash woke up so I had both in Jayden's room and neither would go to sleep. I had them both in my room, Ash and me in Jayden's room etc.....eventually Jayden fell asleep and Ash didn't go to sleep until she'd seen Chris.....Daddy's girl alright!!

Hi All

Ive got the worst head ache ever. Feel like im going to be sick. Had it all last night and didnt help that Liam was up at 2am for some reason. After 1/2 hr trying to settle him I changed him, gave him some panadol and water. Put him back and he went back to sleep. Callum still dry at night so that is good.

Tan yes im going reat at the gym. Was very sore yesty but ok today. Just my f'ing head. Yep have had nights when the kids wont go to sleep. It can really be horrid some things.

Where has the time gone!

Tenny: Both kids slept well, Ash woke at 5.30am for a feed then straight back to sleep until about 8.30am and Jayden woke at about 8am.

Went swimming this arve with the kids, JAYDEN SWAM BY HIMSELF!! :dance: Not much but he still did it, very proud of him since he hasn't been much lately. Ash loves the water, I wanted Chris to take pics of her and me in the water but he wouldn't :angry: Ash was so exhausted, she didn't finish her dinner and she fell asleep sitting up while I was changing her, poor thing.

Us - not much really going on here, Izzy is enjoying her shrimp classes which is really good. I have decided to make Izzy's Christening cake so next weekend I'm going to do a trial run to see what it's going to look like and taste lol.

sorry no personals we have had a big day and i'm buggered gunna go clean the bathroom and get an early night.

today we went on the captain cook top deck lunch cruise. it was awsome mum baby sat and john and i enjoyed a day together kid free, we even had conversation that didn't involve the boys OMG. it was awsome.

but guess what!!! went into the twins room this morning could smell something rotton turned on the light and sebi 's nappy had broken and there was poo all over him and the cot. it was the absolute worst thing to clean up at 6am...couldn't believe it but he did enjoy his early morning bath.

gotta run so tired already

Tenny: Hope you get some sleep soon! I hate being sleep deprived but I bring it on myself most of the time!

Mez: Whats shrimp classes? Swimming maybe? haha sorry. Ash doesn't normally fall asleep like that either, although in saying that she is getting better again with her sleeping. WTG at making Izzy's cake! I made a going away cake for my niece, but after Kell & Kristy's cakes I'm not going to post mine LOL its so bad!! Tasted AWESOME though (carrot cake).

Kristy: What a fantastic day you had! Chris wouldnt do anything like that.....and a conversation too wow haha we don't have many of those either. Oh no poor Seb!! Poor you having to clean it up! Jayden has done that although he was much older and his poo was a little more solid so it wasn't everywhere....dont think it was eary morning either!

Well for those that haven't seen my FB, I entered Ashlea in her 1st (and probably her last) baby comp today (because I am that superficial! :rolleyes:). Ashlea won "Brightest Eyes" which I was wrapt about as Jayden had won the same thing when he was 11mths old....thought she might have gotten the best dressed but I forgot the headband....not to worry, one medal is enough. Also won a boys TT'ing kit (Valued $45) in the raffle, Jayden LOVES IT!! It comes with a ball to put in the toilet to aim at....he loves to aim LOL.

We have just got home from my SILs place, my niece leaves early tomorrow morning so we went to eat the left over platters from Fri night and played a board game....was great fun. Chris has gone fishing for a few hrs with a mate, who knows what time they will get home, but thats ok kids are asleep and its nice and peaceful!

It has been awhile since I posted. So Happy 7 months to all the bubs that I have missed.

Kristyj, sound like you had a wonderfull kid free time. It is nice when you can do that.

Tannis, yeah on Jayden swimming on his own, I took the kids to the pool and Reaghan loved it but I forgot the camerra lol. So no photos of first swim.

Reaghan is going really well, eating two meals a day, she has really started to crawl forward now though still slowly. She is holding on to our hands and trying to walk to. She is growing up to quickly for me, being my last. She has been waking durring the night the last few days so hopefully she will settle again soon.

On my front I have got 3 kilos to go to get back to pre preg weight yeah not long, which is good hopefully will be able to fit into my winter clothes soon. Though stillhave 20 to go to get to goal weight.

Tan - Congrats on Ash winning 'Brightest eyes'. She's adorable and her eyes are stunning. I bet all the other babies never stood a chance. So exciting that both Ash and Jayden have won it now.

Sweetpea - Way to go on the weight loss. Once you've got to your goal you can start losing mine too, if you like. :lol: I'm trying to get motivated lately. I'm half motivated I guess. It's better then nothing. Haha. Sounds like Reaghan is doing really fantastic. It's so scary that it's going so fast, especially when it's your last. We haven't decided if we're having anymore or not. :dunno:

Mez - Happy 7months to your gorgeous girl! Good luck with the cake making. I'm sure it'll be fabulous. I hope sleeping isn't too bad for you guys either.

Kristy - What a mess to wake up to! I had a morning like that with DS1, but instead of leaking out of his nappy he took it off himself. It was everywhere. Such a great smell to wake up to in the morning. :rofl: (sorry about the TMI.)
Sounds like you and your DH had an awesome time out by yourselves. Must have been really nice to just have your own time together kidless.

Not much going on. Sleep is still disrupted, but since I'm so tired from it the past few nights I've had really deep sleeps and didn't hear Haydie at all throughout the night so DP has been getting up to him. In the morning I have to ask DP if Haydie woke up. Hahaha. It's kinda like payback. :lol:
We've had another tooth cut today. Only just noticed it cause he bumped his chin on DP's shoulder and his bottom teeth cut a little bit of his gums between the top two teeth and blood, etc. So kinda when he bumps it or goes to chew on something it starts bleeding.
I'm not all that game to stick my finger in his mouth these days. He bites really hard and won't let go. It's his new thing, I think.
Sitting is good when he feels like it. :rolleyes:
He's also been up on his knees and toes alot lately. He's doing the little backwards crawl dealio, if you know what I mean. DS1 did it. It's kinda funny.

I'm going to go search for this bra online since BNT didn't have it in black. The chick made out I was stupid for asking for it in black. :wall:

no personals, gotta get back to my non-stop baby!! Just wanted to say hi, still here, still reading (occassionally), cakes look AMAZING, babies look even more amazing, and happy 7 months to all these little babies that either have or are about to reach that milestone! Kinda depressing that it's going so fast.

Alyssa is doing really well. 7.2kg as of her last weigh in about 2 weeks ago. Pulling to stand against EVERYTHING including flat surfaces such as doors and walls, and has been taking a few steps on her own against the couch or various toys (cruising). Is currently standing against our TV cabinet, pulling toys out of the toy box and crying because she hit her head against the TV cabinet (but still getting toys out anyway). She waves on command, and that is incedibly cute. Much less frustrated now that she can get herself around, and change position at will. She has just cut the two bottom front teeth, so we're about to start learning about breastfeeding and teeth. And she had her first cold last week. Think that just about covers what we've been up to!! Oh - she HAS to have her hair tied up pretty much all the time now as it is so long that se can't see otherwise.

SW - Sounds like Alyssa is doing fantastic! She's so clever. I bet she looks so adorable with her hair tied up. Way to go with the waving. I can't wait for Haydie to do that. I think it's so cute when little bubbas wave. Hehehe. YAY on the teeth! I hope they didn't cause too much trouble and disruption for you all. I hope the BFing + teeth go ok. Missy - I hope the boys get better soon. Poor little Liam. It sucks when they're sick and it takes a while to get over. We've only just got over Haydie's cold here. It took a while for him to shake the awful cough. I'm praying DS1 doesn't bring home anymore colds or whatever from school until we're all back to full health. Lol.

Today we got the 6month immunisations, and I got my last gardasil shot aswell.
For the first time in both my children's lives, I held him while he got his shots (only cause I had to). Lol. I'm such a baby. :p
He only cried for like 3secs each time too. If he had screamed and all that jazz I probably would have cried or something. I'm so so so proud of him and of me too for holding him.

BI'm baking for DP's birthday tomorrow. He wanted me to make him a Caramel Slice.
Better go check on it in the oven.

phew.... well it's been a few days since I've been here, we've all been sick and I've been running round like a chook with its head cut off but we all seem to be on the mend now.
Quick news for us YAY!!!!!!!!!!! :leap: I got a RAK!!!! I'm so excited! :leap: Not sure who the wonderful person is that did this for me (although I have one or two ideas) .... the Bear is acting like he knows but not sure.
And we got a cot yesterday because Beth has been waking up at night all twisted around in her hammock and can't roll back over. Tried it last night and she slept from 9 to 6am which is great! When we got it put together I put her in it and in less than 30 seconds she had pulled herself up on the bars :doh: Anyway some new pics here , will probably put some new ones on FB today too (although probably the same ones)

Hi all,

Well Reaghan is not only crawling everywher but pulling to stand and starting to cruise the furniture.

ThePixie, I had to set up my cot today as Reaghan kept rolling onto her stomach and getting stuck in the Hammock. I have put her in there for her afternoon sleep, she played for 30 min but I think she finnaly went to sleep, she has gone quiet but I don't want to open the door to find she is awake, lol.


Happy 7 months to all the bus I have missed.

:hello: to everyone else, sorry no personals. Jayden has just fallen asleep :doh: and we are about to go to SIL's for a swim. Ash is velcro baby yet again, can't do anything without her being on my hip...although *touchwood* she is on her playmat where Jayden is sleeping and entertaining herself.

Well done to the bubs that are standing and cruising!! I can't believe everything happens so quickly!!

Oh SW I'm jealous of A's hair too, like Beth Ashlea just has a comb over still.
