Hey Bel, its up to the kids really if they feel they need something or not. I wasn't attached to any toy as a kid, but I remember my younger sister would drag a blanket everywhere with her. And my brother would refuse to let mum wash his 'Jaws' t shirt, as he had to wear it everyday (although he was a bit older then!). We think Al is saying mumma when he wants food or some comfort, that is his only word that means anything. The rest is babble..
Al is still holding on to things, but now and then standing alone, but not for very long before coming down on his bum.
Good luck moving Brooke! Should be such a relief to get into your new place.
Hayseed - thanks for advice on teaching bub to use the straw, as we haven't had any luck with that yet, so we will try the 'calves drinker' method!
WTG Blake and walking!!
Hi Kate and Vanita!
-
Ha ha ha...the "calves drinker method". Maybe I should patent it!! LOL Ha ha ha.
Pup doesn't have a favourite thing yet either. EVERYTHING is his fav for about 5 minutes and then he moves on. He also hasn't said a word that we have been able to understand. Even "mum".
-
Hay, LOL at the calves drinker method. I havent tried Dion on a straw yet, but will use this method when I do try !!!:) We havent had any new teeth for months.
Hey Deb. hows it hanging??
Brooke, hope you are having a fairly stress free move, wish your nanna well from us all.
Hiya Bel, Dion is a mumum and dadadad boy, but nothing significant ( but Im in nooo hurry LOL) Funny how some mums think their kids have to be doing more hey!!!
Kate, hope you are getting enough rest, will have to look up the meet, and hope its a day I can go!
Dion is still unwell, and it has made him a very cuddly bub, crys everytime I put him down, and spends the majority of his time with his head tucked in my neck. ( very cute, but awkward to get anything done) He stand for ages though, and never even notices.
-
Hey Vanita, you won't believe my relief of being finished with the course! FREEEEEDOOOOOMMM! (<---Braveheart impersonation)
I've been sewing like crazy!! I don't understand why. I hope it means I'm pregnant lol. But I'm not feeling any symptoms yet, so its probably not the case. Testing Thursday. But I found some cool towels at a market today and I plan to make some new bibs for Al, as his current set are beginning to look a bit shabby. I have started on a dress! I have repaired 2 pairs of pants for a friend. And made oven mits to match the new curtain I made in the kitchen!! This is since Thursday, so I have been sewing up a storm here lol.
We bought Al a Little People airplane for his birthday today - it looks like a lot of fun. We also found a cool fire engine with little tools and blocks at the market as well today. So he will be set. I've got a little salsa music set somewhere too (castenets, tambourine etc)! hehe
Poor Dion needing lots of cuddles from mumum.
I am off to a 40th tonight. DH was supposed to come along, as it is his friend! But he double booked and is working somewhere else. Bloody bugger  But the babysitter has been organised for ages, so I'm going anyway. The husband of this guy is an Aussie (its legal to have gay marriages here), and we're quite good friends here, so it will be fun.
Better go, Al is tearing up the place again.
-
Bingo girls!
Faint positive!! haha! I was feeling so tired today and with that and a few suspicious symptoms I thought I would test a little early. I am still not sure if I believe my eyes, but there is a second line staring back....:)
-
Woo Hoo!!! Congratulations Deb! That's awesome news. Totally thrilled for you. You better changed your signature honey to say something like #2 is on his/her way instead of TTC!
-
Hey girls, we are in shock. But it is still very very early days, I am not even due for AF yet, so I'm a bit bewildered by getting a positive. Give me a few days to let the news sink in. I think I'm in denial now.
-
Well I'm still thrilled for you anyway, Deb. Fingers crossed this little one stays put. **sends lots of sticky vibes **.
I can't stop cause I really should be doing the things I should have been doing when Blake was sleeping this morning, only for him to have a very short 40 min nap and i didnt' get anything done. He's done for a little sleep to get him through dinner and bath so he can go back to bed again.
I did however have to share with you all. We went to visit a friend this afternoon who had the day off work so she could spend it with her son as she works f/t and it's school holidays. Blake was doing lots of exploring and walking around holding one hand as he went. I could feel that he was getting very confident so I asked her to sit on the floor with me, and with our feet touching and our legs apart to form a diamond, we got Blake to walk back and forth between us HEAPS. It was probably about 6-7 little steps from her chest to mine and he was a bit wobbly but very happy to finally have a use for all his practicing. :D I'm sure he'll be running around at home before I know it and I'll be wishing he was still. Anyway, I'm so excited and proud of my very clever boy!!!!!
Mummy loves you Blake :D :D :D
-
Ooooh how cute. Onya Blake!
Deb. OMG. Great news. I'm sooooooooo jealous.
HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY HENDY!!!!!!
-
Happy Birthday for yesterday Hendy!:happybirthday:
(Sorry we missed it!)
-
Hi all,
CONGRATULATIONS DEB WOOHOO:hug: Well done with the sewing
Brooke, hope things at the new house settle in quickly. and Maya has a great b'day party
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HENDRIX
Rachel, WTG Blake ( at least you werent in Paris and missed it!!)
Kate, I hope you get all the things acheived that you hoped and that your back behaved itself.
I think I need to run away from home LOL. Been busy here. Rianna is sick too, and the toilet training fell in a heap, so back to nappies again ( and me feeling like a failure  )
Dion has had a tummy upset from the anti's so last night I think I might of got 30 minutes sleep in between screaming episodes!!!
We went to the Werribee OPen range zoo yesterday, and most of us had a good time ( Dion screamed for most of it) Today we fixed up a sandpit I got off ebay for Dion for his b'day ( it has a tin roof, and shadecloth sides) all the other kids have played in it non stop today, and its freezing here, and I cleaned out the cubby house ( again!!)I think I am tireder now than when I am sleep deprived from work !!!!
I hope you are all well, and I will see you again soon
Loves and kisses to all.
-
Hey girls,
No it hasn't sunk in...probably because for the most I actually don't feel pregnant at all.:help: But time will tell. We are off for a week to a summer house (not ours) and 2 music festivals. Roskilde Festival again as well as another one. DH is dj'ing - because he is a bloody workaholic. Al is good, but very very clingy and whingy due to teething, so the past day or so have been a little draining.
woohoo Hendy!! Happy birthday little love.:)
vanita - sounds like you're having a tough patch there. Hope you can catch up on that missing sleep soon. hugs to Dion.
Kate - thanks for the update from Brooke. I am still in denial. Since monday I haven't felt the slightest bit pregnant and I've sworn myself away from those horrid tests until thursday. eeeekkkkkk!!!! its a little scary, but I keep reminding myself this was what I wanted.
WTG Blake walking!!! Clever little boy. Definately good thing you were here for that Rachel.
-
WOW DEB FANTASTIC NEWS CONGRATS!!
Vanita, hope everything settles for you soon, must be always that hectic during school holidays for you I suppose....Zoo sounds like fun, can't wait til Coby's old enough to do that stuff...
Brooke, hurry back soon honey, can't wait to hear how Maya is going
Rachel, WTG Blake, no turning back now for you, you'll be running after him all the time, loosing weight in the process tee he he! Im surprised Im not skinnier than I am chasing Coby around all day - umm could have something to do with all the junk I eat I guess!!
Kate, you're a cleaning machine, how did you feel afterwards? How do you manage to do so much - how do you keep Kelsey amused? I can't do anything with out Coby "helping" me
not much happening here, Coby's still whingey, whiney and clingey, very annoying, he's getting some more teeth and these ones are bothering him more than the others, don't know why?
-
I will be honest here Kate, the nicest cake mix I have found is the coles home brand butter cake mix ( I am normally a safeways shopper), its just in a plastic bag, but the cakes are moist and light- mmmm, for cupcakes, you just need to cook them for less time.
Well had a better day today. Dion has finished the antis so no tummy upset, thankfully, and we all walked down the street and the girls saw a performance at the library we got lunch and walked home ( about 7km all up), then a gf came with her twins ( the same age as mine) and the kids all had a play, so a fairly peaceful day on the home front. :)
-
Glad you had a better day today Vanita, my day however, was ORDINARY. Coby is being a right little $h!t. I don't know whether its teeth, or just him exhurting (sp?) his authority (or what he thinks is his authority) hes just horrible at the moment and I don't know how to handle him anymore. He is throwing tantrums constantly and he is really trying my patience, any suggestions? How does everyone else deal with tantrums? I've tried ignoring, but that doesn't work, I've tried soothing, that doesn't work, I've tried chastising him, that doesn't work....Im at my wits end!
Sorry for the whinge girls, but i really need some help...
PS-Kate I got that stuff you sent, you are a love, thank you so much for that!!
-
Bel at this age the best technique to destroy tantrums is distraction. take him somewhere different like outside as soon as he starts. If Dion is being a right old grumpy guts, sometimes we have a shower, or bath, put on some music, start tickling, chase him,
-
That's what I do too when Pup is being a right PITA!! Distraction.!!!
-
HELLO MY GIRLS, HOW i HAVE MISSED YOU!!
Well after moving into our new house we have been without the internet for so long but im back!!!!! Thank you guys so much for remembering Hendy's birthday it made we a little teary.
Ill try and catch up but there has just been so much going on that i may just go from here.
Deb - Did i see right? You got a BFP??
Happy birthday to Coby and Princess Maya:happybirthday: :happybirthday:
Well we had his party on Sunday and what a spoilt boy. We moved into our new bigger house and now it seems small again with all his toys everywhere. He is sleeping like a trooper again after about 2 months of not sleeping well at all and sending me and mike a little bonkers. He is just becoming such a sweet little boy(god how biased am i??). He says quite a few words (mum, dad, ta, bye bye, moo (he loves cows), up, blows kisses to us, and smothers us with open mouthed baby kisses). He is on just milk now and only has a bottle at night for the rest he has a cup. He is eating everything and anything but isnt chubby. He is crusing and walking with his push along toys but doesnt look like he'll be walking on his own any time soon.
Love to you all.
xx
-
Heather - long time no hear, glad to have you back! Glad to hear how things are going with you and Hendy, make sure you keep us up to date!!
Kate, I too have a "Coby" album, with photos from the ultrasounds till now, I've got some updating to do, so many photos so little time, but I'll get there eventually. I know when I was a kid I loved to look at my photos of when I was a baby, there weren't many, but I liked to see what I was like, so hopefully Coby will get a kick out of it too, as will Kelse!!
Hay - PITA?? not sure what this means....
Thanks to all for their advice on the tantrums. We had a wonderful day today, just hanging around at home, cleaning and Coby was "helping" and we enjoyed each other, he seemed to want to do his own thing today, not like other days where he gets bored very quickly. So I hope that he's finally starting to realise that he can do things on his own, and enjoy his own company.
Coby is getting gamer and gamer at letting go of things and walking between open spaces of furniture, I get so nervous, but I guess he's gotta learn by falling where his limits are...
-
Bel LOL, PITA is Pain In The A*@, glad you had a better day with Coby.
Heather great to see you. Hendy will walk when he's ready ( the average age is around 14-16 months I think)
Brooke, you should be nearly back???
Dion has an album, but I scrapbook, and TBH have not done much scrapping this year, just dont feel like it ATM so is only partially done ( nedd to try keep up with the girls albums too)
-
Yep, Vanita got it right about PITA!!
Heather, glad to see you back. Missed you.
Kate, I still sometimes forget to put the side up on the cot and Pup has been standing up in it for at least 1.5 months now! I especially forget to do it if I put him in the cot and he is asleep. Very rarely forget to put side up if he goes in awake - cuase he normally stands straight up again!!!
-
Hi girls,
Kate – 24 weeks, wow how time flies! I replied to the Melb meet up thread, sounds like it will be a good day. Wow, you really did have a good cleaning session. I must read up on your birthday games thread.
Hay – Thanks for the invite! We will definitely take you up on the offer. Pup will be excite when he gets his new toys! Great idea about a BB Mattel day for charity, the spots
Deb – Congraulations on your BFP!!!!!! Congratulations on your great results from your exams. Is the baby singing classes in Danish or English? Sounds really great. Amy doesn’t have a comfort toy although she loves playing with Cookie monster in the car.
Vanita – Thanks for the advice re the toddler milk. DH said there was lots of advertising on TV ATM. We picked up some samples at the Baby Expo which may come in handy. I hope Dion is feeling better and everything is going okay.
Rachel – Yay for Blake taking walking !!! and drinking from a straw!
Brooke – Hope the moving went well.
Hi Heather, happy birthday to Hendy!!
Bel – Hugs to you…glad Coby is better for you now. It must have been those teeth?
Well I have been MIA again for the last week. So busy at work again and we have been organising Amy’s party for the 8th. DH is making the best cake and it has cost us over $250 for the things to make it and that doesn’t even include the cake!! We also spent $90 on cake books trying to find the right one. AF arrived last Sat, time to start getting serious and charting as I haven't bothered since we were trying for Amy. Amy is now saying ‘mmmmmmmmmm’ when I ask her what the cow says. She also pointed to a baby when we went out to dinner and said ‘baby’, weird but true. She says lots of words and is walking much more now.
Huge apologies for brief personals, work will let up soon and I will be able so spend lots of time on BB like I used to.
-
When you say you spent $250 for the cake but not including the cake, what did you buy??? And yeah, the price of cook books per se can really add up. $90 is probably about 4 books. Don't worry,.....you'll use them over the years!!!
-
my big kids are of the age, they spend a year pouring over the books trying to decide which cake they each want ( and change their minds 50 times til the day!! LOL) Cake books never go astray, though some are so difficult you wish they would go astray LOL
-
Hi all.
Very busy 4 days while the kids have been celebrating their birthdays. One more party to go - playgroup on Wednesday. Really tired. Will have to post more tomorrow once school is back and life gets more normal.
Kate, I so hear what you mean about not wanting to sit anymore. Blake barely crawls now, sometimes walks between furniture, sometimes just walks around holding onto it or the walls. He LOVE walking too.
Will add more tomorrow. Night for now.
-
Rachel, Belated Happy Birthday to Blake & Vic, hope they had great birthdays!
Hay, we bought cake tins, sculpting tools, made up fondant icing, letters and other stencils, candle, sugar glue and lots of other stuff that I cannot remember. DH has almost finished the cake and it looks fantastic! He is so clever.
I have decided to make all of the food and cooked lots of sausage rolls yesterday. Kate, thanks for mentioning choc crackles, I almost forgot those!
Brooke - I'm glad your move went well, welcome back! I hope Maya's party was a huge success and she is feeling well.
Amy is running when we play chasy now instead of crawling, although she does fall a lot. Have a good day everyone!
-
Hi girls, just a quickie from us.
Hi Brooke, glad to have you back, how was Maya's party? Hope you get settled soon. Molars! I am sure Coby is getting a couple as I type, he's been very feral lately and chewing and chewing on EVERYTHING.
Hi Hay/Deb/Gemma/Heather/Rach and anyone else I missed...
Kate NOOOO you don't want to go early, Coby was only 4 and a bit weeks early and look at all the probs I've had with him!! But I guess if its a big 'un, then it might be fully developed etc a lot earlier IYKWIM....
Had swimming today, not sure I'll be going back - just not sure about the teacher, she's a bit "boisterous" and you can tell she doesn't really like the babies. They usually take the babies under the water and turn them to get to the side, while holding onto them. Well today she let go of Coby and he was sinking fast, little legs kicking for dear life and when she finally brought him up, he was gasping for air, had taken a heap in and was choking, then vomited (only a little bit of mucus) and was bawling. I was so annoyed - he was TERRIFIED! To me, that's not the way to teach a child to swim, it only instills a fear of water and drowning in them! Same thing happened to me when mum took me to swimming classes as a tot, throw 'em in and see if they sink or swim, consequently mum never took me back, I learnt to swim all on my own....
-
That doesn't sound right to me Bel. I would consider going elsewhere. I agree, it could instill a fear of water rather than the opposite which is what you are trying to do.
Kate, sounds good about the Mattel thing. I guess we've got a little bit of time up our selves, but yeah, let's do it!! And then we can have a mini BB meet up too!!!!
Ummmm
Oh, a VERY belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Blake. So sorry I missed it (haven't been on for a couple of days)
Gemma, god, we've GOT to see this cake. Put a photo up somewhere so we can ooh and ahh over it!!!
I have decided to do a Blue's Clues cake for Pup. It's really the only thing that is his favourite at the moment. He doesn't even have a fav toy, blanket or anything....
Brooke, glad the move went well. It's amazing at the stuff you cart around hey?? I've been here for 6 years and I reckon I've still got boxes somewhere that haven't been unpacked. I should just throw them out.
Well, Pup had he 12 month immunisation today. he's fine. Cried when he had the needles, but ok now. We've got his party on Sunday, so a big week coming up for us. We have his actual birthday on Thursday and having a lunch with the grandparents and we also have a MCHN visit for 12 month weigh and bits and bobs. Then on Friday I have the mum's group at our house and will have a little party for him again and then family coming Friday nght to stay for the weekend and then the party on Sunday. Phew! At least we've got lots of helping hands....... We'll be singing "Happy Birthday" a few times, so hopefully by Sunday, the singing and the candles won't be a foreign thing to him and we get lots of smiles instead of tears!!!
I finally got a +ve OPK the other day so we BDd over the weekend.....seems like the only time we have sex is when I'm "on". Anyway, I hope it's all worked. Will know soon enough I guess. Fingers crossed for me pleeeeeeease girls.
-
Hi girls, we're back from a long long weekend! It was quite a good festival, we just did the one thank god.
I have some news. To my surprise AF arrived on saturday! :crying: I thought I was getting some for sure thing signs I was pregnant, you know that 2WW can drive you a bit mental. And getting the 2 lines on the test last week...
So when I got home I took a look at the test and confirmed a horrible reality.....
I had used the OPK test instead of the HPT test!!! they look the same, and its all in another language, I must have grabbed the wrong box! You girls will think I am a complete idiot! My DH thinks I'm a twit. Of course everytime I do the OPK test I get 2 lines, according to that test I am permanently ovulating. Oohhhhhh...I'm sorry to announce so early and to be wrong. I will try and hold off until I check and double check next time girls. Thanks for all your enthusiasm and good wishes, that was really really nice and I feel pretty sad to break the news that I am actually not pregnant at all.
So baby dust to you Hayseed, I hope this month is yours.
Happy Birthday Blake! the Big 1 woohoo
Bel that swimming teacher sounds horrendous. I would have been terrified too. Poor little Coby. Why don't you just take him yourself, instead of a class? We do that and Al loves it. He has a bubble and floaties on and he does a few 'tricks' and the rest then is water play.
Hi Heather!! Yay, good to hear that your little man is doing so well. What a clever boy with all those words.
Hi Kate - sorry I can't be joining you with the pregnancy just yet. We hope to soon though! Having a week thinking I was pregnant made me admire how well you're doing. It is just such a special state to be in, carrying another little life around. And caring for Kelsey too, you're a champion. It sounds like you have a healthy little one in there.
Hi Gemma - great that your DH had made the cake. Can he do ours too?
Hi Vanita! and anyone else I missed.
Al has received some presents from Oz already. Some cute books and clothes, as well as some necessary supplies (vegemite, bonjela and paw paw ointment) so he has started his celebrations already.
DH is in Beirut for work for the week (journalist assignment this time) and will be back on monday for Al's birthday. So we will just do a picnic in the park together, no huge parties here as family are so scattered, so its quite easy. I will make a cake for him though, but just a traditional layer cake shaped like a 1...not too difficult..hehe
In a few weeks we will have another party with all the kids from our mother's group.
Better go and stick my head under a rock..love to you all
Oops, forgot to mention Al's page is updated if you're interested.
-
Thanks Kate, you sweetee. Lucky your DH agreed with me, or else!
-
Oh Deb. whilst it is sad that your pg was not actually true (IYKWIM...sounds bad when I say it like that!), I sort of had a little smile when you said you used the OPK instead of the HPT. I hope that next time it is the real deal for you!
-
oh no Deb, you poor love, I bet you were so excited too - I was excited!! What's the go with those tests? They sound a bit dodgey to me!
On that front, this is probably the wrong place to be asking this, but I have a maybe baby and some OPK's and the maybe baby is "ferning" but the OPK's are negative, what's the go there? Anyone had this experience? Which should I trust?
Thanks to all for the support about that stupid swimming teacher. Deb, I was thinking about taking Coby on our own too, DH's mother is a swimming teacher, perhaps I could just get some tips from her and take him myself when DH can come too....
Hay - how did you go with "you know"? Hope you catch that egg!!
Kate, good luck making that decision, its one that I wouldn't like to be making!! Did you have a CS first time? I had an emergency CS and it wasn't that bad, I'd do it again if I ever get pg again.....
-
Hi all,
Kate, try hanging on and going natural, its better for you and bubs ( and the big boofas arent tooo bad to push out LOL, what was Kelsey again??? ) I too would avoid the csec if possible, especially if you want more bub's in a short time. I would love to go on the list for the mattel visit too, if it doesnt clash with my big anniversary plans for next april.
Bel, I would not only cease the swimming lessons IMMEDIATELY but I would also demand my money back, they are NOT supposed to terrify your child!!!!!!! Sorry I have no idea about the tests, I have only ever used 3 pg tests, no OPK's or anything.
Hay :crossfingers: :bfp: Heres a hoping for you, but not me!!!!!
Deb, Oh sweetheart, you must be feeling so dissapointed, maybe its a warmup for the real deal to happen VERY soon!!!! I too looked at your site, and love the piccies, you all look so very happy and much in love with each other ( all three of you)
Hope you are all well, and all the little ( or not so little ) bubbas are joyous.
-
Hi!
Brooke, great for you that Maya went well at childcare. The party sounded like a success and good that you got some help too. The story with my pregnancy test was that I actually didn't do a pregnancy test but one of those stupid ovulation tests instead. It was a very dumb accident on my part, and I blame my Danish skills, and being too hasty!
Bel- yes I was excited, but also terrified, it is a bit daunting when you realise there is no escape from the next 9 months and at the end of it is....well after childbirth there is a beautiful baby. But the good news is we get our Australia trip in Jan so we are happy. I don't know about maybe baby but I know from last month the OPKs always show me as ovulating! So I can't help sorry.
Vanita - yep thankfully we're in love here! DH is mushy all the time as you can tell from the blog!
Great that you all enjoy Al's blog!
Kate- Gee that must be a worry for you about bub being too big to deliver naturally, I hope that the ultrasound puts your mind at ease and you can birth a healthy 10 pounder when he or she is ready. Were you also a big baby or DH?
DH is away and Al has been sooo clingy, I can't leave the room for a minute without tears. So I'm off to do some jobs before Al wakes ... we are on one sleep a day now and its only 1.5 hours.
-
Just to announce that Al is sitting here eating an apple! AND drinking his water from the cup with a straw! *big boy* :) (thanks Hayseed the calf drinker method worked!)
-
LOL...my pleasure!! Glad it worked Deb!
Well, Pup will be the BIG 1 tomorrow. I have to admit to being a bit teary about it too. Stupid huh? I guess it took so long for us to get pg and stay pg and now the first year has just blown by and now I look at him and he is a little boy. Not a baby anymore. He is starting to exert his independance and buggar off to anyone who tries to help! I am so glad that we have a digital camera and have taken 100's of photos of him throughout the year. I was looking at them yesterday and today (see why below) and all those memories came flooding back. Especially the ones of his birth. Oh dear, I'm snivelling again.....!!!!
As to why I was looking at his photos; I have done a few posters of him for his birthday. I got some big A0 size card from the newsagents and I have broken them up into "Birth", "up to 3 months", "3 - 6 months", "6 - 9 months" "9 months to 1st birthday". for each one, I have put corrosponding photos and snippets of info (eg: I laughed for the first time, I had solids for the first time, I have 2 teeth etc..). I have kept a diary since I was pg and everytime something of note happens, (such as a tooth appearing), I write it down. So it wasn't that hard to get all the info together. Just time consuming. Anyway, it's done now and I also decorated a party hat for him in the primary colours of his invitation. I am going to completely update his website, so I'll put photos of the posters on there. I'll let you all know.
I got the fright of my life today. And this harks back to the conversation of Kates about forgetting to put the sides up ont he cot. I put Pup down for his sleep this morning and then went outside to mow the lawns. I came back inside about 40 mintues later and went in his bedroom and there was NO BABY IN THE COT!!!! I nearly died. I tentatively looked beside on side of the cot and no baby. I called out his name and saw his head pop up around the other side of the cot where he was quite happily playing with some toys. When I looked around the room, he had been having a wonderful time and the change table contents (creams, cotton buds, nappies etc) were EVERYWHERE. I then could not recall what I had done - I was still in a state of shock. But I remember putting him in the cot and giving him a toy to play with. I thought I put the side up on the cot, but I couldn't have, as there is no way he could get the side down himself (I don't think). So he's obviously fallen out or climbed out somehow. I reckon he's toppled out 'cause he can't stand by himself yet, so I can't see he climbing out. OMG!! But, tough buggar that he is, there was no evidence of tears, no attempt to get out of the room (he could have just opened the door which was ajar), and not a scratch, bump or bruise on him. Maybe he levitated out of the cot!?? At any rate, I've checked on him 10 times tonight. And his afternoon sleep was uneventful. I was so upset - I felt like a terrible mum and I cried to my mum.:crying:
And I am in the TWW (not that I feel I deserve another baby after what happened today!)
-
OHH! That would have been a shock you poor thing. what a worry when you couldn't see him.
Reminds me about when my mum lost my youngest sister once (she was the last of 5 so was probably left to her own devices a lot). After searching the house, she found her asleep in a drawer!!! I think mum had a few heart attacks in that search too.
So don't blame yourself Hayseed, it happens,he's alright and you're not a bad mum!
Can't wait to see what you did with the photos.
I'm having some technical problems printing my photos for Al's album, the printer is not doing it right and DH isn't back until monday :crying:
-
I am the first to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY PUP
Hay, that would have been a BIG shock, I would still be hyperventilating. I think I did this with the twins, as I dont put the side down with Dion or Rianna ( well she has them down all the time now, so she can get in and out til she gets her bed for her bday) That way I never forget, Sounds gorgeous with the photos, I feel like the worse mum, I kept a diary with the twins of my pg, and one of those baby books, I started a pg diary with Rianna - never finished it and bought a baby book - never filled anything in. I bought a pg diary with Dion and it had one entry and I've never got around to even buying a baby book ( kept saying I should) So THAT is a ROTTEN mother !!!!
Good luck for the TWW
Deb  I am not computer literate either, and frequently have to get DH to "fix" things for me, LOL
Brooke, sorry for not feeling well, Happy vibes to you!!! WTG Maya on having a good 1st day at childcare!!!!!
Kate I think Ive experienced nearly every type of labour LOL, Induction isnt too bad (IMO) big babys are not too bad, csec's suck LOL. But yep I wouldnt want an 11 pder either!!! If they are big, bubs early are not too bad, jaundice is the only real issue my early brds had ( and the not so early one LOL) I would be saying induce ( or seduce ) me at 38 weeks :)
Well Dion is walking more and more without noticing, he just goes from the couch across the room to the toy box ( about 7 steps ) and is happy walking beside me holding onto one hand, so wont be long. Darn rotter is always in my cupboards though, yanking stuff everywhere!!!

Hi girls, just a quickie from me.
OMG Hay, that would have been so scary not seeing him in the cot!! What a good boy playing with his toys. Good luck for a BFP. Happy birthday Thomas!!
Kate – I hope you are feeling better. Enjoy your mums group 1st birthday party today. I’m sure you will be fine birthing your baby. Kelse was a big baby and you had her naturally.
Deb – I’m sorry that AF arrived, those tests can be so confusing. I love your website and Al is such a cutie!!
Brooke – I am so glad Maya had a good day at Childcare and her party went so well.
Vanita – WTG Dion walking more steps.
Hi Bel & Rachel
Amy had a great birthday on Tuesday. We went to the Pancake Parlour for lunch. We gave her a ride on car which she loves. It has a handle on the back so we can push her around. Have lots to do to prepare for Amy’s party on Saturday and DH has almost finished the cake.
Have a great day!
