Hahahahahahahaha, only happy to show off Dan's undies huh?
Hi girls, I've just finished work, yep and its 10.05pm, blleerrrggghh, so tired.
Buaah haaaa haaa Brooke about Maya in the undies drawer, yeah go on, put some of those photos up - tee he he!!
Not much to report from our end, just very tired, need sleep, so hopefully I can catch up with you all tomorrow, hope you are all well....
HI girls,
Finally changed my ticker as I was losing track of where I am supposed to be up to with the pregnancy.
I am exhausted today and feeling a bit down as we are still not getting anywhere with the housing situation...it can be depressing.
Sorry to hear you have to put your beloved dog down Gemma.
And just to say love the special 'leaves' on Dan's undies Brooke :)
Gemma - just wanted to send my warmest wishes to you and DH and Amy. So so sorry to hear of your dear old dog. I think it is the hardest thing to put down an old friend but at least he will be at rest. I hope you guys are coping ok.
Kate -I hope your feeling a bit better lovely. The hormones are already raging in my body, i forgot how emotional you become. Last night i was crying at every show that came on the TV and DH was laughing at me!! Hope you have fun this week and that your mind is taken away from all your aches and pains.
Well im feeling the M/S already! I didnt get it till week 7 with Hendrix so i hope this isnt an indication of much bigger things to come! Is it possible that i already have a fat little tum? looks like ive had a few too many burgers or something and i cant hold it in!
Ive got to give hendy some lunch so will check in later
Hi Brooke, Bel, Deb, Vanita, Rach, Bec, Hay (i hope your feeling ok)!
Brooke - it is around 21 degrees everyday, so quite pleasant at the moment.
Seeing as you asked...
Al is going well. He is still on a morning bottle and evening bottle.
He eats well which is great. He is insisting on having a spoon or fork and feeding himself, but not much gets in that way. His way of saying he doesn't want more of something is still to throw it on the floor. Often food he doesn't fancy goes directly from plate to the floor! He still loves tipping his water over and making little puddles whenever he can.
He loves rolling things around the ground- whether its a ball, a plastic bottle, cars ...whatever he gets hold of he throws and sees how far it will go on rolling. His favourite activity is to push a toy tractor around the playground. If he can get it on the right angle, he can go round and round the playground for an hour while I am able to relax! He is enjoying looking at books and I've had to remove some of the bed time story books from reach as he has begun to destroy them unintentionally.
He gives me hell on the stairs most of the time. He can't make up his mind if he wants to do it alone or if I should carry him. It is quite frustrating as we have 3 flights to deal with and I am usually carrying something else as well.
Sleeping is on the whole much better than ever, he is finally learning to re-settle himself without a drama so I am getting up much less.
Tantrums generally consist of stamping his feet, sort of like running on the spot. Its quite cute, for now.
Heather - join the fat tummy club! Its scary how fast that can happen!Good to hear you have some early symptoms.
Deb, its sounds as if Al is growing lovely and is doing really well. Dion doesnt drink milk very often, but eats everything offered to him, and likes to eat frequently, and lots, not that you would know it by his weight LOL. I could imagine the frustration on the stairs, and I hope something comes up soon, housewise that is more suited to your growing family's needs.
Gemma, sorry to hear of your loss, and warmest wishes to DH too, it must be devastating for you all.
Heather, sorry to hear the MS is coming on early, I find with subsequent pg's you do pop out nearly straight away ( not much muscle tone left after the first LOL)
Bel, hope you caught up on some zzzzzzzzzzzzz
Brooke, what no pickies of the lacies???? just the satin ey????
Rachel, what a spunky family you have there!!!!
Kate, hope you are all well, and bubs is getting ready to make an early appearance for you.
Bec, good to hear jonahj has found his feet!!!
Hay, hope you are all well and hearty.
I have had the gastro for the last few days, what a nasty bug thats travelling around, UGH> Well Dion has his paed visit tomorrow, and his chest/ cough is REALLY bad again, so maybe we will try the ventolin again??? Dunno what to do with that one....Oh well, love to all.
Oh and Kate, and Gemma, and Bec, have a good meet up tomorrow, wish we could come, next time hey ???
Need to have a gripe so, sorry girls you get it.
As you all know Blake's a crap sleeper and I've spent far too many nights in the 'car bed' (his single bed shaped like a F1 car) than I choose to remember.
Anyway, I was talking to one of the mums at school today who has a son about 4 months older than Blake. We were talking about sleeping and I commented on how crap Blake was. She said her son was too, but for the last 3 months he's been great cause she had a day stay at a sleep school. I told her we took Viv to sleep school when she was 6 months and we did CC but I didnt' want to go down that path again cause i don't like the idea of it now. I was so desperate before I took any option but now I know more and this is a conscious decision, even though our nights are still not great, it's the choice I've made.
She went on to say that they didn't do CC with her son at this place and it was fantastic. She gave me the name, and she said they do a phone interview, and she had to wait about a month before she got in, but it was worth it.
I called as soon as we got home from school. Now for the bad news... Our phone interview is Thursday 5th October... like 3 weeks away :(... there's more. There's no chance of getting in before Christmas. :( :( :(
I shouldn't have got my hopes up. I was so excited that there might be a light at the end of our sleeping nightmare tunnel, only for it to be snubbed out. Christmas is more than 3 months away!
F#%K it! I think the diet's just fallen in a heap. I'm so miserable. I know food wont make me feel better but I don't know what will. *sigh* *sob* What a crap way to screw someone's day up.
Thanks for listening.
xx
Awwwwwwwwww Rachel, big  sweetie. I'm sorry that it's going to take so long to get in, maybe he might snap out of it before then, that's what happened with Jonah he just snapped out of it one day and that was it. You need to get a punching bag for days like this then you won't go and eat you can go and punch the $hit out of that instead.
Rachel, :crying:  :( am soooo sorry to hear the candle of hope being snuffed out, its dreadful when you think there's and end in sight, and it turns out to be a looong way off, oh lovey, do you want Blake to come sleep over here, for a night, so you can get some shut eye?? we'll trade and you can have sleep all night Dion????? A school holiday special?? What the heck, you can have all my kids sleep over, and we'll keep Blakey boy for you????
You're an absolute treasure, Vanita. You too, Bec. Thanks lovely girls. You bring tears to my eyes.
You know if I thought that they did anything other than CC, I would have been there 11 months ago. I'm peed off by my MCHN who knew he wasn't a good sleeper, but never suggested anything otherwise. I've never been supported by her - think back to the mother's group issues I had.
It's not the lack of sleep, Vanita. I end up getting in the car bed with him and we sleep together like a dream. It's the fact that he can't settle himself. Perhaps I should go and suss out Pinky's books to see if there's anything about teaching them to settle themselves in them. Anyone know?
I just wish he'd settle himself and that his teething at 3.5 months didn't stuff things up as before that he slept like a dream.
(BTW, I don't think I want all your kids, V. As beautiful as they all must be!) ;)
I haven't read Pinky's books but I'd definitely give them a go Rachel, you've got nothing to lose but everything to gain, maybe give them a burl. I wish I had the answers for you :( I really hope you can get him sorted and settling on his own.
You sure Rachel, I'll make them pinky swear they'll be good.........?
I too wish i had answers, mine all slept through about 3 months coz I went back to work and Dh is a heavy sleeper, so they didnt wake him as easily as they did me, and so they learnt to resettle I think thats why they all started to sleep through when I went back to work......
Maybe I'm just too soft. I don't know. I'm just so frustrated that this sleep school is booked 3+ months solid. What are our government's doing??? You think with waiting lists like this there's need for more of these places?
I was going to come Kate, but after my crap afternoon, I'm not sure I'd be good company. I'm thinking I'll just go to Knox and have a look in the bookshops to see if they have one/them there. Thank you so much for the offer though. I really do appreciate it.
I've also learnt that Viv's in some presentation for their school principal who is retiring this week. It's from 2.30pm tomorrow afternoon. I imagine it will take me close to an hour to get there, so I'll have to make sure I leave by 1.30pm. It seems like a long way for a short time - mind you I'm busting to see you again honey. It might be the last time I see you with your belly-full. Although if you're going to Lara's I might be able to see you then. And if you're not I'll have to come and have lunch with you down your way another time.
Sheesh! I'm rambling now!
xx
Rach, I'm really sorry that Blake is still not sleeping well. If I still lived in Baysie, I would come to Knox with you but it isn't just around the corner anymore. Is there any other sleep schools you could go to? Amy was waking up and crying a while ago and we had a rough few nights setting the rules and now she sleeps really well. I mentioned to Brooke that we went in so she knew we were there for her and didn't talk then went out. We also still sleep in a matress next to her cot occasionally but still don't talk to her. Also, we found that one of the reasons she was crying was she was cold. The 2.5 tog Grobag wasn't enough so we now put a jumper over it. She has a Snuggle(something?) grosuit on and the heater is set at 18 degrees overnight.
Will catch up on personals later. Thanks everyone for the thoughts for us with our dog. It was a sad night for me and Amy has been giving me kisses. I try not to cry in front of her and she has helped a lot.
Awwwww Rachel, totally understandable that you don't want to come today but we are there if you change your mind, maybe we might even cheer you up  Definitely seems like we need more sleep schools imagine all the other poor mums and bubs in your situation that can't get in either, maybe we should start a petition?? Are there more sleep schools here in Melb? I hope you find a copy of Pinky's book and that it's the answer.
Aww Rach Big hugs to you. I wish i had some answers for you..... Hendrix seems like the others, he will pull out a week or so of absolutly awful sleep then go back to sleeping again. That week though will make me question why the hell we are doing it all again!! LOL I hope you find some relief in Pinkys books.
Well i hope you all have a lovely meet-up (god im jealous!! lol)
I have to tell you gus though the cutest thing ever. So cute it almost brought tears to my eyes (god im getting hormonal already). Hendy was out in the the living room playing with the tv on (yes im a tv watcher too, tv is on low all day here too) and i was in the study on the computer. Well my mobile rang (it was out in the loungeroom) and i raced to get it and saw Hendy lying on the floorboards ASLEEP!! He must have only just fallen asleep as only moments before i heard him crashing around but he was dead to the world! I picked him up and he started laughing (in his sleep), and i managed to put him in his cot in his sleeping bag without him waking.... god they are precious!
aww how cute heather, its moments like that, that melt your heart ( pg hormones or not )
Rachel, I hope you had some success today, and that Viv's performance was brilliant!!!
Kate, Bec, Gemma, hope you had a good catch up..
Well Dions paed doesnt want to operate on his little sack ATM as they are moving still ( not stuck) but is concerned about his lack of growth, feels it is coz of his constant crappy chest, so he is on Intel, and ventolin 4 times a day ( 2 puffs of each through the spacer)for the next 6 weeks, then he has to get weighed and lengthed, and back to the paed for a follow up. He feels this is going to work, so fingers crossed for us that this is the answer. hope so, he doesnt really like the mask on his face and fights it, but lets hope it helps.
Vanita- Fingers, toes and anything else crossable are crossed. I truly hope it works and he starts getting bigger and bigger.
We did have a good catch up today it was great :)
Hi girls...feeling 1000% from the other day...now DH has it! Groan...
Vanita, I can only imagine trying to get a puffer into a baby. Pup hates having the panadol squirter thing stuck in his mouth. It's like WW1 trying to get 1.5ml into him! Imagine trying to get him to suck on a spacer!
Ohhh, I'm jealous you girls met up too. Glad it was good but.
Rach, sorry to hear of the resettling issues. I have no suggestions for you - sorry. I hear you on the waiting list thing though. I rang my drs the other day when i was feeling crappy to try and get an appt that day to have an injection of maxalon (I was so sick of feeling sick). I couldn't get an appt for another 2 days! WTF! You have to be DYING in our town to get an appt to see the dr. Or you have to know 1 month in advance that you're going to be sick.
I had a drama about getting a peth injection the last time I had an unmanageable migraine. A couple of weeks after this episode, I made an appt to see my own dr to make a complaint and to discuss how to handle the situation if it arose again (he was not the dr I saw in casulty). My dr is very popular and usually takes about 2 weeks to get an appt. He said to ring him when I got a migraine the next time (that I needed peth for). I told him that I could never get in to see him. He said to just ask for him. I said that the girls on the desk would not put me through. He then told me that I was to say that he had rang me and I was returning his call!! The things we have to do to get medical attention!!
So I hear ya Rach on the waiting list. Of course, 2 weeks is nothing like 3 months, but when you are sick, it sometimes feels that long!
Kate. OMG, you have less than 30 days to go. LESS than 30 days!!!!!!!!
Hi girls,
Firstly thanks for all your support. It's been a tough 24 hours emotionally (and on the waistline) but I'm working through it. I think Blake's rough patch is probably due to his eye teeth moving down. He's been a crap sleeper at the best of times, but it gets worse whilst he's teething so that's probably the problem. Also cause I reached out for help to the sleep school and got absolutely none, so emotionally I'm flat. But I'll cope. (oh and DH is away all next week and has been workign his butt off all this week in preparation so I'm playing single mum on top of it all)
Anyway, I changed the way I settle Blake to sleep. I still have to stay in his room, but for his daytime nap and going to be tonight, instead of having to hold his hand to put him to sleep, I just stroked his forehead intermittantly and shushed him, and he managed to put himself to sleep. I'm hoping to continue this so he's less reliant on my physical touch, and that he'll eventually settle himself. Well that's the plan anyway.
Heather - Awww, how cute to find Hendy asleep on the floor. What a treasure!
Hay, yep it's hard being sick. At least your Dr has told you how to manipulate the system so you can see him for your migranes. At least he's on your side. Viv's got an infected ear - her lobe next to her earring and I tried to get an appointment for her when I called this afternoon. Nope fully booked today and tomorrow. Fortunately they do hold a few appointments which they will only fill first thing in the morning, so I will call at 8am and try and book her in for tomorrow. No doubt it will be during school time, but if that's what it takes!
Vanita. Sorry to hear Dion's appointment didn't go as well as hoped. I hope the Intal and Ventolin help him. Fingers crossed for your next appointment to be better.
Kate, Bec - how was lunch? Would loved to have seen you both - and the others - but it was better for me to have a normal day.
Hi Deb, Hope you're little one is still cooking away happily and not wearing you out too much. How's the house swapping news?
Hi Gemma, thanks for the advise re Grobags. We have a heater on in Blake's room as we dont' have central heating. I think it's pretty good temp wise. Even if I'm in bed with him, he never comes under the doona with me. He's always toasty so I don't think it's the cold. I think I've just spoilt him and comforted him too much to sleep. He's become dependant on me and needs to be re-educated.
I bought Pinky's book so I'll have a read of that tonight (mind you I also bought Grey's Anatomy Season 1 on DVD and I watched 3 episodes whilst Blake had his nap instead of reading it, so....)
Have a good night. Fingers crossed we do!
Rachel - sorry to read about the difficulty Blake has in settling himself. We too have had a rough time with Al from the start. Really only been the past few weeks where I have forced myself not to jump up when he cries during the night. And much to my surprise he is managing to re-settle himself. Not every time, but its much better than he would have been able to do a few months ago. I hope things improve there before December and you don't need to use the sleep school for anything but some additional rest time for you.
Hay - glad your feeling better. Whats Pup up to these days? Got him working on the farm yet?
Bec, Kate, Gemma - I'm jealous. Did the kids have fun too?
Vanita - good that the orchidectomy can wait - lets hope that is something that sorts itself out naturally. Poor little love on the puffer.
Hi Gemma and Heather and Brooke!
Still no news here on the house front. Saw a few options this week, but nothing worthwhile unfortunately. :crying:
I am nervous about the pregnancy, but have only to wait until next week and will be able to see if its ok on the scan.
Al's excema (sp?) is better on his face, but I noticed a new little red patch on his leg tonight. I hope its not bloody excema too!!!
Oh Kate,
How lovely, seeing your little one so close to the birth. Must have been surreal! What does this mean for you?? Are you going to try for another vaginal birth or go for a Caesarean (sp). Hope you are having a quiet day, catching up on some much needed rest after your busy day.
xx
Go Kate Go
Go Kate Go
Gooooooo Kate !!!!!!
Of course you can do it, you are woman, hear you roar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Hay- Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Bugger that your DH has it now, and I bet he's worse than you huh? lol.
Rachel- Bloody teeth huh? I hope they stop giving Blake trouble soon. Sounds like the changes you made are good, I hope they continue. Sorry that your DH is away too, that can't be easy especially seeing as your feeling pretty flat, I hope the time whizzes by and he's back before you know it. Good luck with Pinky's book I really hope it helps, and I hope you enjoy watching GA :) Oh and lunch was good, it would have been good if you could have come, would have been lovely to see you again too but we'll see each other soon I'm sure.
Deb- Yep the kids had a great time, although Jonah was a bit of a cranky pants at times. I'm sorry that you're finding it so hard to find a new place :( Maybe it's taking time because you will find the absolutely perfect place and it's just not available yet? Good luck with your scan, I'm sure your little one will be fine :)
Kate- As always it was lovely seeing you again too :) Yes he was quite the welcoming party wasn't he? I think he knows who you are now. Whenever I know I'm going to see you I tell him we're going to see our friend Kate and our friend Kelsey. Bugger you day took it out of you, but it's only to be expected at this point huh? Sounds like you had a lovely evening as well. And I second Vanita, GO KATE GO!!! I'm really busting about you being so close, it's so very exciting, I know I keep saying it but I can't help it.
Thanks Bec. Great that you and the kids had a good meet up. Yeah, the place we want is out there somewhere...we sent a few more emails out today so wait and see.
How fab Kate to have a close look at bub now. Sounds like its all on track for the birth you wished for. You will be fine! And its possible bub will even come earlier, so you could be in for a comparatively easier birth.
Kate, i know you can do it, it will be wonderful, and as Deb said s/he could come early and it could be easier!
I didnt have an ob with Hendy, we had him at the birthing center, and yep i booked in again as they fill up really quickly.
Im off to bed. Im already exhausted!!!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend, we have Rianna's bday party here tomorrow, have just finished her Fifi flowertot cake, and have to mop the floors before bed, have a great one all.
Hope Rianna has a great party. Aren't you a wonderful mum Vanita, god bless you and your Fifi flowertot cake!:)
Our weekend is going well. No new developments here.
Have a good sunday people.:)
Vanita- Happy party day to Rianna, I hope it went well. I hope you took piccies of the cake :)
Kate- It is really nice that they do know each other and get on well :) PMSL at us being in-laws, how weird would that be?? Not in a bad way but it would be strange. Atleast we'd know that Jonah would have the loveliest in-laws and the best MIL :D
Well things are going well here, we got the keys for our new place yesterday and took some stuff that we bought for it over there. It needs a couple of things fixing up and a clean (it's been empty for a long time apparently) but it's so great. So much more room for us to spread out and for Jonah to romp about in. We're thinking about getting a new fridge we thought that maybe the one we have now wouldn't fit but it should but ours is quite old and I would hate for it to crap out on us before we can get a new one. So the one we are looking at is a bit bigger than the one we have now and it has a water dispenser, Ben's going to measure the hole for it today to make sure it will fit before we go ahead and buy it.
It's a lovely day here in Melb so I hope you fellow Melb girls are enjoying the weather. Jonah had swimming this morning and Ben's going to be taking a few boxes and stuff over to the new house later on.
Hope you're all enjoying your Sunday :)
hi girls, wow, I received a notification, something must be going right in the system!!
Bec, good luck with the new place, you'll love it Im sure!!
Kate, good luck for your final days, not long now, could be any moment really....Just try to take it easy, I know that's easier said than done with a little one at home!!
Vanita, how did Rianna's party go? Hope the cake was a hit!
We spent the day up in the valley yesterday, because DH went skydiving. First time and he went on his own. He did an accelerated freefall course on the Saturday and then jumped on Sunday arvo, he had two instructors/pro's next to him the whole time, but he was doing it on his own. I was so proud of him. It was such a thrilling experience and he couldn't get the smile off his face afterwards. He is going to go again, so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets his full training and licence to jump whenever he pleases. It ended up a hot day and we only thought we'd be there for the morning so we all ended up a little bit sunburnt, even Coby which I am not very impressed about, but its done now, I can't change it, but it doesn't make me feel any less guilty about it. Like I said, I thought we'd be home before lunch, but ended up there until 4.30pm, from now on Im putting sunscreen in the glovebox of the car for cases like this!!
Hope you all had a great weekend...
Hey girls,
We'll be MIA this week, as we are off on a little 'holiday' to the west coast. Will be visiting with the IL's as well. Should be good to have some time away with DH after such a long period of hard work.
Will be back in touch next weekend.Hope you all stay well.
Deb, enjoy your time away, try catch up on some muchly needed bonding time, RELAX TOO!!!!!
Bel, how wonderful that Dh did something he's always wanted and that it felt great, sorry to hear you all got a bit burnt, oh well these things happen. I always say i should have sunscreen in the car, along with a change of clothes for each child, a jumper for when it gets cold, and umbrella if it rains, and a towel, to dry and clean up messes, prob is I couldnt fit all the kids in - just their things LOL
Bec, woohoo on the extra room What litrage fridge are you looking at?? Ours has been on back order for two weeks now, and am getting a bit peeved, was hoping to have it proir to the party, oh well this week ( or so they say  )
Kate, the housework always beckons ( dont pay any attention - its evil LOL)
Well Rianna had a good party and was well and truly stoked with her cake - so worth it. we went looking at display homes on sat, and have found my dream home ( 4 b'rooms, and a study, but the space to turn a retreat into a 5th b'room without trouble ) Oh now to win tatts LOL. Tahlia has had the gastro today, so couldnt go out or do anything, pretty boring day for the hols. oh well, seems improved,
Better go put the roast vegies in the oven,
adieu
Bel- Thank you :) We are sp very excited, Jonah already loves romping around in it, hehehehe.
Deb- Have a good trip, I hope you get some quality time with your DH and Al whilst visiting with your ILs.
Vanita- We got a 532 litre I think it was, our current one is 442. We got a toshiba one from The Good Guys and it has a built in ice maker. You fill a compartment inside the fridge and it get sucked up into the freezer and it makes ice and pops it into a container that's in the freezer. It's being delivered the day after we move. I can't believe that you still haven't got yours yet, that's such a poo. Poor Tahlia having gastro I hope it doesn't last too long. Hope you win tatts so you can buy that house :)
ooo Kate I hope it all works out for you, but remember whatever way your miracle comes into the world, they are all special!! Good luck, maybe you'll go into labour tonight?? (Im sending you the vibes....)
Deb have a good trip, see you when you get back...
Vanita, you're 100% right, you would need a trailer to carry all their stuff. I keep telling myself the same thing, change of clothes, towel, hat, sunscreen, umbrella, nappies bla bla bla, but there would be no room for Coby. Oh well, I'll just have to pack smarter.
DH is still on a high from sky diving, he's booked to go again so I guess in a few weeks he'll be back up there again.
Coby is great. He's a little clingy though, are any of your bubs going through this again? I mean he's hanging on to my leg when we go out etc...
What about sleeps and bottles, how many are your bubs having nowadays?
Hi all,
we're still having some sleep problems but they're sort of getting better too. Blake is settling to sleep much better - be it his day or night sleep. I've starting playing his favourite CD - Ben Lee's Awake is the new Sleep (hmmm is there something in that title??? ;) ) and he just lies in his cot and listens to it. Lets me put the cot side up, grab his bottle and walk out of the room. Not a peep is heard and he falls straight to sleep. During the day he sleeps 2.5/3hrs but at night time he's waking everying 40/50 minutes. What's with that? He can't settle himself back to sleep and he sits up in his cot, crying for his dummy. In the end I get too tired, waking everying 40 minutes and I get up and put him into bed with me. Any suggestions?
DH is away in Canberra all this week, so I'm doing the single mum thing. It's not too bad I guess. I get some quality time with Viv seeing she's on holidays, and as always I've got my gorgeous boy. It just means I've got to be more organised.
Kate, sweetheart... I'm sending you lots of labour vibes. Come on little one, it's time to come out! *labour vibes, labour vibes, labour vibes* :D HTH
Bel, Blake only has one sleep during the day, and has done so for months. I guess it's part of the second child syndrome. He has to fit in around our/Viv's life and with her activities. He still has two bottles - both for bed, and I'm sure this is part of his settling problems. Oh well, until we get to sleepschool - whenever that will be, we'll still have problems.
Bec, Welcome to your new place, honey. I hope you're starting to settle in ok. It's great to have space, isn't it?
Vanita, I can't believe you still haven't got your fridge! Grrr! I'm sure it will come soon honey. Bummer about gastro being back again. I guess with a large family, someone's gotta have something sometime! Glad Riana had a good birthday. What sort of cake did she have? I must have missed it. OK, I just read back. Who the hell is Fifi Flowertot or whoever it was? Guess I better google! LOl
Deb, hope you have a wonderful week away. I hope it's restful.
Hi Heather, how are you coming along? Hope you're not feeling to yucky with m/s. hugs
I'm off to bed cause my boy will wake me before too long.
Take care everyone. Kate I'll email you my mobile number so you can sms me when you go into early labour! ;)
Love to all
xx
Kate- It's all completely true. Oh it is wonderful, maybe now I'll be able to have a playgroup meeting at my house :D Well our fridge is getting on and I think it's almost the only big thing that came from my mum so it will be good to have yet another thing that's ours and that we have picked. Plus we wanted one before ours finally craps out.
Bel- Forgot to say wow at your DH going skydiving. I always think that peole who do that and bungy jumping and stuff are very brave, I cannot see myself EVER doing anything like that. As for sleep and bottles, Jonah will usually have 1 longish sleep in the day sometimes 2 if I'm lucky. With his milk since he was sick he's gone off it a little he used to have 1 cup with his lunch and then just a bottle before bed but lately he's not been having the cup with lunch. He will sometimes drink a little bit and then I will try and stretch that over the rest of the day but sometimes he won't have it. He drinks a lot of water but lately so he will drink it I've had to put a little bit of apple juice into it. Our MCHN said that if we find he stops drinking the milk as often as he used to to not worry about it because he will get his calcium in other forms, ie, cheese/youghurt/butter/milk in cereal etc. But of course I would prefer him to drink his milk as I think it's important but he doesn't seem to care about that, lol.
Rachel- Thanks Darl, but we haven't moved in yet :) But just going there without our stuff in it is cool, just knowing that we are going to have all the extra space is fab. Awwwww I'm so glad that things are starting to get a little better with Blake's sleep. It was making me feel so sad hearing that you were so down and upset. Bugger about the waking so often in the night. Does Pinky's book suggest anything? Have you tried leaving Ben Lee going really quietly at night? Have you considered getting a baby monitor that allows you to talk to the child without having to go into the room? Maybe he would find it soothing to be able to just hear your voice? Can he put in his own dummy? Maybe he can't see it in the dark if he can, maybe a glow in the dark dummy would help?
Dion doesnt drink milk at all. but has 2 yogurts and some cheese ( milk on his cereal) and usually 2 sleeps one for 2 hrs, one for 1 hr. then 11 hrs overnight.
Kate, dont let him do it!!!!! You know intervention decreases your chances, and with the stairs and Kels, you really dont want a csec, this bubs will come when ITS ready not the DR !!!! And you know you can birth it no matter its size, STAY POSITIVE, and true to yourself!!!!!! GO KATE GO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done with rearranging the lounge ( are we nesting ????)
P.S come on out little one.........
Rach, I dunno, Bec made some good suggestions. superglue it in maybe???? LOL Fifi is a cartoon on ABC ( an english cartoon) that Rianna has fallen in love with, oh and Dora too!!!! Good luck being the single mum for the week, enjoy the quiet, and the kids.
Bec, congrats on the fridge, sound perfect. Ours is a side by side with the ice maker too!!! ( i think its 710 litres, a westinghouse, soooooo want it to hurry up and come) so jealous, i want room to romp ( romper room)
We have been looking at serviceable houses on the net, not my dream house ( nearly 35 squares, and everything that opens and closes ) but 4 b'rooms with study, where I could convert the formal dining room into a 5th b'room, and about 27 squares, so more affordable. I have got to the stage I am sick of yoyoing the litllies sleeps. Rianna wakes Dion, but if she's tired nothing wakes Rianna, but she climbs into his cot, and plays when they go to bed at the same time, so we are always trying to work out who's due for a sleep when, and they fight allll the time over the toys, would love to pop them into separate rooms. just need to talk hubby into it ( though he's looking as much as me LOL)
Kate - i have to second Vanita and be part of your cheering squad "YOU CAN BIRTH THIS BABY! YOU CAN BIRTH THIS BABY!" Ill go and read you other post after this so i have a bit more info, but trust your body, its done it before!
Vanita - you have me worried now! The plan for this new bub is that it will sleep with us till its 6 months or so then go in with Hendy?? We have another room but its DH studio and i can tell you now that he is not going to part with it! LOL Can you give me any tips? Hope you get your larger house though!
Deb - hope you have a wonderful trip! When you get back you must get your scan too? Cant wait!
Brooke - hope your well! Maya sounds such an angel! We took Hendrix to EarthDance on Sunday and he went off at the Drum and Bass! I was trying to keep him down the hill a bit where it was a little quiter but he must take after his mum and dad cause he wanted to be in the thick of it! So cute dancing around and making all the people who are off their faces smile. :)
Bel - your DH sounds like he had a blast! Good on him! Hendy is still having 3 bottles a day. Whoops! I read that they should still be having 600ml a day so that is what he is having! He has water out of a cup but im lazy and put him down to sleep with his bottle. Bad, bad mother! He usually has one sleep a day (around 2-2.5 hours) but days such as today he will have two shorter ones as we have stuff to do in the middle of the day.
Hello everyone else:hello:
Well im having m/s and chucking (sorry tmi) every second day! Im getting a little more tired but otherwise feeling great.
Better go get organised for my mothersgroup.
x
Vanita- The one that we wanted to get had a water thingy in it but it was too tall for the new space we have :( Spewing about that and a side by side one would have been fab but they were all too wide. Good luck with looking at houses, I hope you are able to find one and that your hubby wants to get one too.
Kate- Poo at you not being able to get a new fridge. Hopefully yours won't crap out any time soon then :) Labour vibes from us too.
Heather- Bugger about the m/s and chucking, but it's good that otherwise you're feeling good. Hopefully the m/s won't bother you for too long.
