Cassie=- wow your DH is cleaver, tell him i said well done, very cool
I hope things work well with Dylan ans the sleep centre i have been down that path with MAdison.
Charlotte is feeding better today cassie she is b/f, i think she had an upset tummy yesterday, i hav not started her on solids yet she seems to be sleeping a bit better so i will leave it for after the new year.
-
Hi girls
kmh Thanks for that I will tell DH yoou said so, I think so too. Good isea for the solids for Charlotte I am waiting til 07 too.
Em I agree with the Motorhead similarities too and my hubby would be proud that you said that as he loves motorhead. He is the guitarist the only one in the band with long hair! I think you see his face maybe once, LOL I think he did that on purpose.
Had an ok night last night Dylan went down ok and woke about 2.30 for his feed but wouldn't settle again which was a trifle annoying as I was so tired. Today we have been grocery shopping and he missed his arvo nap so after his bottle and pjs and story I have put him straight to bed and he went down with only about 5 mins of rocking which is amazing though I think I can now hear him stirring must be at the end of a sleep cycle.
Here is a photo of my little christmas angel I received the professional photos I had taken of bubs today and they are just beautiful and I also got the disc so I am sure I can post this one. I have to now decide which ones to give to whom for chrissy. All our family except the kids have said no pressies so we are giving photos and choccies.

Bye girls

Cassie - i just wanted to tell you that Dylan is so cute where did you get those pics done?
-
Cooper had a good sleep last night. 6.00 pm to 6.00 am! Yay! That's better than 5.00 am. Although I guess I shouldn't even complain about 5.00 am. It's still sleeping through.
My Nana (mum's mum) is up from Melbourne. She wanted to come up to meet Cooper – her first great-grandchild. Mum and Nana visited yesterday and it was lovely.
I can't remember if I showed you the photo of Cooper sitting on Santa's lap? Maybe? I can't remember! Sorry if I did... here's the link
http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h2...s2006small.jpg
Oh and he's doing this weird thing when he's on his tummy. He gets his feet right up underneath himself!

Oh and one more pic... stuck in the cot bars!
http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h2/Fee78/DSCN4795.jpg
Mads – Oh no about AF. What a bugger. How was Freya last night?
Fraser – I'm sorry to hear about Simon's grandfather. I hope you're all coping okay. Thinking of you.
Cassie – I saw that Aqua Duck water play mat in Target the other day and thought it looked very cool!
Love the pic of Dylan. Gosh how adorable!
Wow at your hubby's video clip. Very impressive! I'm going to show the clip to my DH.
kmh – How's Charlotte's feeding going?
-
fee- those pics are just beautiful. Charlotte is still feeding the same she will have a good feed and then one where she wants to play over night she will feed really well, still waking 2-3 times over night, i have held back on the farex, will try and hold out until she is 6 months of age.
I got Charlotte weighed yesterdat as she has not been feeding right, she now weighs in al :6230 and is 61 cms long, she is still very small, i get weighed at 6 months next.
i took this pic of me and the girls the other day, i love it http://102_0093

Hi girls
DH has got friends over who wanted to meet Dylan am I being rude hiding down here??? Oh well I will go back up soon. Dylan is in bed yay. We had a horror day yesterday and the night before. Dylan went to bed ok on Friday night but then at his middle of the night feed he would not resettle and it was taking over an hour so DH suggested bringing him into bed with us and I snapped "no' back to him as I was tired and frsutrated but then I did anyway and it worked as Dylan went to sleep. Then in the morning and all day yesterday he cried and cried and wouldn't play and didn't want to be put down on the floor or in the rocker or the pram and he just wanted to be held and even then he cried and he only had one 15 minute nap in the morning it was very frustrating and at one point I put him in the cot and closed the door and left him to cry for a while then I felt terrible and thought he may be teething or have a headache or anything and I felt terrible so I got him up and gave him panadol and a feed and that made him happy for about 5 minutes. So yesterday was a right off. Last night though he went to sleep quickly and had to be resttled a couple of times and then he went back to sleep after his middle of the night feed and then after his 7 oclock feed I brought him into bed with us and we all slept til 10 which was amazing I was rapt. So not sure about yesterday no teeth have popped through but today he has been much better he is on to his second nap and has had play time and holds from our visitors. Yay!
KMH That photo of you guys didn't work for me, sniff. Yes the photo of Dylan is gorgeous it was done at GFP Studios at Adamco Business Park, Unit A1/2A Westall Road, Clayton, VIC. They did a great job though a little pricey for me anyway but we are using them for presents which makes it easier. He is having more done at a different studio in January but those are free which was a gift from my work.
Fee Yeah I love the aqua duck and will be getting it out for him on Christmas Day they can play with it on the floor on their tummy or on the high chair which is ace. I want to play with it myself in fact I was in Baby Bunting my in laws must have thought I was mad. I love the photo of Dylan too. I will tell my hubby you said so about his clip. I love those photos of Cooper too, it looks as though he may be crawling soon in the second one or sitting? I thought about getting a Santa photo of Dylan but will wait til next year the one I have with the hat on is good enough for me.
Anyway no more news byeee.

oh my god - why oh why oh why did I say Charlie was sleeping fine - why did I do that - I have now been punished for gloating.
for the last couple of nights Charlie has woken for feeds at 9pm, 12am, 3am and 5am - I am so exhausted - I think it might be a growth spurt because his feet don't fit in his gro suits again.
Simon weighed him last night and we think he might be 10kg - not sure.
so tired my eyes hurt - I'm back off to bed!
-
Cooper did not sleep until 6.00 am yesterday morning … not even his usual 5.00 am. It was 4.30 am. That was just the start to a grizzly day! He would NOT sleep. He had a bit of a nap early on, maybe around 7.00 am and woke at 8.00 am. I gave him a feed and I ended up giving him another feed at 10.00 am because he would not settle and sleep. Even the feed did not put him to sleep. We then had to go to a friend's house for a Christmas lunch. He was pretty grizzly. Obviously tired!!! We set up the portacot and had to rock him in our arms to sleep. By this time it was 1.00 pm!!! He had been awake for 5 hours. Anyway he slept for 1.5 hours which was good. Enough for me to eat my lunch and have dessert etc.
Anyway Cooper was 5 months yesterday. And he has remembered how to roll from tummy to back! He didn't do it exactly like he used to 2 months ago. He really twists his bottom half around. So funny. He actually fell asleep like that today. So cute. Also today, for the first time, he protested and cracked a tanty when we took a toy away from him! We had to laugh. And for the last few days he has been really great at tummy time and finally lifting his whole chest off the ground so he's not resting on his forearms.
It's all happening. No wonder he's grizzling. He seems to be going through a developmental stage.
Today he woke around 4.00 am but I turned on his mobile and he kept it together until around 4.30 am. I fed him then. Once again it has been a struggle to get him to nap (he's asleep now). I am having to pat his bum to sleep. What is the deal with that?!?! I don't want that to become a habit. His day sleeps have just become terrible lately.
kmh – Can you post that photo link again? It didn't work. I'd love to see it.
Cassie – Oh what a bad day for you. I've been having similar days with Cooper. I think they must be going through something around this age. They are learning a lot! I hope Dylan is good for you today.
Fraser – I think I've been punished about Cooper's sleeping too. I was so excited he slept until 6.00 am and then I've been glad he seemed to be sleeping until 5.00 am regularly. But the last 2 mornings it's been 4.00 am or 4.30 am. Okay, at least it's not every few hours but still … boo hoo. Wow with Charlie. He must be having a growth spurt. That's a lot of feeds!!!

Well Charlotte has been sick today had a temp of 39.4 this morning and the doctor does not know what is wrong, She hasn't had a temp since but has had not many wet nappies and is not her self we are testing for a uti. We go back tomorrow morning. She also had some type of rash but thats gone now and she is a bit more sleepy today, I really wish they would not get sick.
Fee- can you tell me how to put photo links up, i have tried and i have no idea
i also got Charlotte weighed last friday and she now weighs in at 6.230 and is 61 cms long,s till so tiny she still fits into all her 000 clothes and 00 jumpsuits, its great
-
Well i am very tired today Charlotte was up every 1-2 hours last night, not settled and this morning at 5:30 and at 7am she was screaming, poor bubby, we are off to the docs soon so hopefully they can get to the bottom of it, and her temp is down for the moment, also she has had not many wet nappies, they think she might have a UTI
-
Hey Kelly - I hope everything is ok with Charlotte - poor little bunny - fingers crossed they can help her with something so you can get some sleep tonight
-
Charlotte has tonsilitls, and i am waiting for some test results in regarding her blader as something came back a bit high, so hopefully i will hear about that tonight or tomorrow morning. But my doctor does not seem to think it will be anything at they know why she had such a high temp yesterday, otherwise it might be a twist r a kink in her blader and we would need more tests done
-
Cooper's check up went well. His latest stats are:
Weight: 8.03 kgs (8030 g) (17.7 lbs) - 75th percentile
Length: 67 cm - 75th percentile
Head: 43.5 cm - 50th percentile
The MCHN said Cooper is exceeding all his milestones so well. She said he seems very strong and alert. She explained his crying and funny moods as him just becoming aware of strangers. I have noticed lately that he will cry when I leave the room. She gave me an information brochure for 6-9 months and it has a bit about babies this age being wary of strangers and also crying when the mother is out of sight even for a short period.
Cooper cried at the MCHN when she tried to measure him. He screamed the place down. Afterwards when he was sitting on my lap, he was smiling and blowing raspberries at her!!!
Also, I have been practising sitting Cooper up. Today he sat on his own on the floor for about 10 seconds or so! Enough time for me to take a photo. :D
kmh – Do you have a Photobucket account? I just upload photos to that and then post the URL link.
Poor Charlotte. I hope she'll be okay. Poor little bub. I hope her temp has gone down.
Mads – Sounds like Freya is such a happy and fun baby! I hope you all have a nice time away and have a wonderful Christmas.
-
the tests came back clear so thats great and now Madison has tonsilitls so i have two sick kids, though Charlotte is alot better today.
My friend had a baby girl this morning Amiee after a 2 hour labour (lucky) she just made it the hospital
-
yEAH, i finally put some photos together, they are of Charlotte, when i have time i will put some of MAdison
-
Just quickly KMH I had a look at your album and the photos are gorgeous especially the black and white on of the three of you and I love the santa hat one too.

[B]Fee[B] - Sounds like you tore really bad or had a bad cut? After our first child, DW had some issues. She tore a little but was sniped to keep from tearing real bad. Not sure the entire situation rather partially mental or physical, but for a very long time after wards she hated DTD. She would fight the urge to "git it out". Eventually things did clear up, but she did talk to her doctor about it and was checked out. If it still hurts and is a big problem you should defiantly go look (by the time I post this I will assume you have..lol). My DW thinks that it was a combination of mental and physical aspects. In part she could not enjoy DTD because she was always too dry which did not help the rest of the situation.
by the way, cute little guy you have there Fee.
All - sorry if every thing is out of order in regards to posting to specific ones of you all and then posting a general. I am glancing through starting with thread 1 and so if I don't post as I think/read it then it probably wont get done at all. A
As to teeth, our little man has two razors poking out of his mouth. Has been drooling pretty bad and having a very hard time with it for a couple of weeks or so now. Oh ya, and when it's "Dinner Time" he likes to use his emerging teeth a little and when DW yelps he looks up at her with his big blue eyes and laughs. She's a sucker! lol
The little man is usually a pretty happy baby. He has stolen his mommy's heart and reawakened in her a desire for a population boom...not sure how many little ones this little guy will lead to..LOL. There is a possibility over the new years we will all pack up and run to my parents place which will be around a 3 - 4 hour drive; not sure how he will do for that let alone sleeping and staying in a strange home. My too little girls were always a bit cranky and restless as a baby when not at their home.
Well all, I think thats all for now. Hope you all can get a little more sleep. DW work's from home and was asked to do a specific job which required her to make herself available to work till 3 am. So many a night she works till 1am - 3 am then has to get up at 7am. I think she is going give up that specific role and hope not to loose too many hours/pay over it but she is dying with those kind of hours and feeding Corban every couple of hours.
Cassie -Loved that Christmas picture of Dylan.
KMH - Your poor little girl (tonsillitis)!

We tried to go out to dinner last night with Mark's friends to Montezumas. I knew it would not work! I remember going there a while back with Mark and it was quite crowded and noisy. We were due to meet everyone there at 7.00 pm so I did Cooper's bath and last feed at home around 6.00 pm as normal. He fell asleep on the drive to the restaurant but woke up as we were strapping him into the pram – damn!
We managed to wheel the pram through the tables etc to our spot. He was quite (but awake) for a while and then he started crying. Mark took him out to hold him – I guess it was the only way to try and calm him down but I knew he wouldn't go to sleep. He would just look around at everything and of course all our friends would talk to Cooper etc. But he still cried even with Mark holding him. I had to take him outside and cuddle him. He would not go back in the pram! Poor thing. I felt bad just having him out and that he couldn't fall asleep.
Mark and I had to tag team with our dinner. One person outside with Cooper, one person inside scoffing down their dinner. We tried strapping Cooper back into his car seat but he cried. So I rang Mark inside the restaurant and said I was going to drive around the block! That put Cooper to sleep very quickly. I didn't even get to finish my dinner. The staff cleared it up – but put it in a doggy bag. What a night.
Cooper didn't stir at all when we got home and I moved him from the car to the cot. So that was good. Then he slept until 5.30 am which was also good. And of course, after that feed, he would not go back to sleep. He is so eager to start his day! So played in our bed with him and then Mark put him in the rocker while he showered and got ready for work. I put Cooper back to bed just after 7.00 am and he's sleeping now.
kmh – Those photos are lovely! I especially love the B&W one. You should put that one in a frame!
I hope your girls are feeling a bit better.
Dustmite – Nice to "see" you and thanks for your story on your DW. I actually tore, then was cut and then tore again. But still I think it was only a 2nd degree tear. So it could have been a lot worse. I never had any issues with the stitches or pain etc. I thought everything was okay until I went to see my OB 6 weeks post-birth. He said the scar tissue had healed too tightly. So yeah that's the problem. And yes I believe it's partly in my head too! I'm scared DTD is going to hurt. I haven't been to see my OB again but I think I will. I guess in the new year I will see him. I will probably have to be re-cut and re-stitched. Got to motivate myself to go (and get up the courage). We have tried to DTD but without getting far at all!
Glad to hear Corban is going so well. Ouch with those teeth!!! I'm not looking forward to that. Cooper has clamped down a number of times and it hurt and he doesn't even have teeth yet!
-
Hey ladies,
hot hot hot here at the moment - 29 yesterday and supposed to be 31 today - it will be one of those two or three times a year we turn the air conditioner on!!!
Charlie is onto Farex! he's had it the last 3 days and he LOVES LOVES LOVES it! he looks so funny trying to eat off a spoon - I think it might be helping his sleep though he woke at 11.30pm last night because it was so hot I think, he was just thirsty and then he slept through to 5.15am - that is not like him at all - but it was good!
Fee - we had the same issues with Charlie this morning - I went to DH's christmas breakfast - it was at 7.30am and I thought maybe Charlie would be ok - he normally goes down for a sleep at 8am - but because he had been up since 5.15am he cracked it - so I had to leave - I really really wanted the french toast with bacon and maple syrup.. but Simon bought me an egg and bacon panini from Banjos whilst I was putting Charlie in the car - so I gobbled that up on the way home!
Kelly - hope your girls are feeling better today - I agree with everyone that photo of you and your babies is beautiful - I hope it's in a frame somewhere!
Mads - sounds like it wont be long before Freya is on the move!! what a clever girl being able to roll from front to back and back to front! Charlie can only go from his back to his tummy
we have a busy busy weekend planned - so I don't know if I will be able to get back on here before Christmas
I hope everyone has a fantastic first christmas with their babies and family - can't believe this time last year we were all dreaming about what it would be like to have christmas with little ones - time has flown! be good everyone and I hope father christmas is kind to your littlies! :P
 awwww I love you guys - thanks for being here all year and being supportive and funny and helpful ;)
Em.
-
Em- I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your DH and Charli, i bet you have spoilt him rotten, I love that photo too, but when it is blown up Madison has some food on her nose, so i have to keep it small so you can not see it.
Fee- It is really anoying when that happens, it means that you carn't really go out until they are a bit older, Charlotte is like that too, It's going to be hard Christmas day as we will be out ALL day.
Dustmite- nice to hear from you, YOur poor DW, Charlotte hasn't tried bitting me yet, not looking forward to it.
Poor Charlotte has runny poos and not weeing enough, so i have to start giving her water to drink, She has been asleep for nearly 2 hours so long for her.
-
OK, the little dude decided not to sleep last night. Was really rough for DW and myself but mostly DW as she had to go to work at 7am this morning and he would not sleep. DW thought maybe it was because back of house was cold so she even stuck him in our bed but he just sweat-ed then.....and kicked, and grunted/groaned, etc. Then, early this morning when all the damage had been done the little guy passed some gas. We are thinking that was the whole problem and since he was not passing gas or burping we never thought about it. So DW and I (especially her) have eyes that are burning and a full day ahead of us!!
Ahh, the joys of parenthood. It's amazing all the things I "forgot" about when I was lobbying for another baby....lol! Oh well, he is awfully cute!
-
JUst wanting to wish everyone a very Merry Chistmas thank you for all of your support throught the last year, it has been a wonderful year, lets hope 2007 can be just as great.:D
-
Since I think some of you are actually living or about to Christmas Eve (as opposed to the morning of 23rd here in the US) I just thought a quick Merry Christmas was in order incase some of you are about to disappear from the boards for a couple of days.
-
Dustmite - that's it isn't it - as long as they are cute you can deal with the pinching and hair pulling, and leaking poos and non sleeping and squealing and grizzling....... have a great christmas yourself (and a happy birthday!)
-
Merry Christmas to all my July Buddies, I hope youe all enjoying your babies 1st Christmas
-
ok, its Christmas day for me, so Merry Christmas to all of you and thank you Fraser for the bday wish. also yes you are right as long as their cute the rest is no big deal....lol
-
Hello everyone.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas. What did your babies get for there first Christmas, Charlotte got heaps, too much.
I am having heaps of trouble with her sleeping at them moment, she was putting herself to sleep until 2 days ago, where she wont sleep, and if she falls asleep in my arms and i put her down she will wake up screaming, I have tried patting and it wont work. GRRRRRRRRRR, Yesterday she had some pumpkin and loved it, so i gave her some farex today and she had heaps, loves her solids.
I am off to the sales tomorrow, i hope i get some bargins.
-
KMH - awesome about the solids. Corban hates anything but moms boob. He gets this nasty upset look on his face no matter what type of solid you try to give him. It's pretty funny.
As to Christmas, the little guy got some baby cars and some wood blocks and rattle toy. Oh ya, and some bowls and spoons for wishful thinking I think; and he still has one set of grand parents to go.
-
Hi all
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! :D
Long post ahead. So much has been happening.
We had a great night at my parents' house on Christmas Eve. Cooper was really good. I was a bit worried as he was sooky the day before at Mark's parents' house. But he was all smiles and having fun playing. He enjoyed opening all his presents. Got some great photos. He didn't want to nap though and took both Mark and I a while to get him to have one. Later in the evening I bathed him and put him to sleep for the night. He was fine. But then he woke around 9.30 pm. He had woken at 10.00 pm grizzling the night before. So very very weird. He usually sleeps from 6.30 pm to 5.00 am. Anyway I took this as a cue to go home. There was no point re-settling him. I was getting tired anyway and had to drive (35 minute drive). He fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep when we got home and I moved him to the cot. Then he slept until 5.00 am. Yay!
Christmas Day was more present opening and Cooper tasted his first solids – wrapping paper!!! Ew! I wasn't quick enough he had chewed on the paper so much it went soggy and I found some in his mouth. Oops! Then we headed out to Mark's sister's for lunch. It was a great day. Cooper was fairly good too. Had a few sooky moments but generally okay. He missed out on one whole nap but didn't get too cranky. He had he very first swim in the pool which he didn't like very much. I guess he's used to warm bath water!
Then that night Cooper cried out a few times and we found him in weird positions in the cot. But he didn't wake fully until 3.30 am and I had to feed him then. Damn!
We visited some friends on Boxing Day arvo. Mark stayed until late but I went home to do Cooper's bath and bed. I was so sick of trying to put him to sleep at other people's houses!
I have noticed that Cooper is very unsettled at night at the moment. I have a few ideas why:
1. He is too excited by being able to roll and wants to do it all the time.
2. He is trying to crawl.
3. He is teething.
4. All the socialising at Christmas has mucked him up.
As of Christmas Eve he finally remembered how to roll from tummy to back so now he can go both ways and is constantly wriggling in his cot.
So now I need to figure out what his "problem" is!!! Last night we went to Mark's parents' house for dinner. I did Cooper's bath and last feed at home and then we went over (they're only about a 3 minute drive away). We forgot Cooper's portacot so we tried to put Cooper to sleep on a bed. He wouldn't have a bar of it. He kept crying. Neither Mark nor I could settle him. I even tried giving him a feed but he wouldn't have it.
Dinner was then served so we just brought Cooper out to the table with us. He sat on my knee while I ate. He was all happy then. He smiled at everyone and tried to grab my plate and enjoyed banging his hands on the table. He did get a little cranky after a while but that was understandable as he ALWAYS goes to bed between 6.00 pm and 6.30 pm. It was now about 7.30 pm.
We scoffed down dessert so we could get home as Cooper was getting wriggly and was so tired. He fell asleep in the car and didn't stir when I put him in his cot.
But then he woke at 10.00 pm crying. He's done this a few times in the past couple of days. I went in and he was rolling around the place. I patted his bum and he went back to sleep. Then he woke crying at 11.00 pm, 11.30 pm and I think 2.00 am. It's all a blur now. Mark settled him as well.
But then he slept until just after 5.00 am – his normal wake up time. I tried just getting him up and changing his nappy instead of doing a feed straight away. He cried a lot while I was changing him but then he seemed very settled back in his cot. But it was shortlived and he only lay quietly for about 10-15 minutes. Still it was something. So I fed him at 5.30 am. I decided to start my day and give Cooper play time. He's now been asleep since about 6.45 am. He is propped up on his side with his foot sticking through the seat belt hole of his sleeping bag!
Fraser – How's the Farex going? Charlie still enjoying it?
kmh – How are your girls? Feeling healthy? Glad to hear Charlotte is enjoying her solids!
Dustmite – How funny that Corban is not interested in solids yet! Oh well … I guess just try again in a few weeks.

hey everyone!
Fee - that is so strange - Charlie is doing the same thing for now reason - last night it was 10.30pm, 1am and 2.30am - he did it on christmas eve also - he didn't do it christmas night but I attribute that to the couple of glasses of champagne I had! I can't work it out either - someone told me that is a sign that they are ready for solids - but I had to take him off the farex for a while because he got all blocked up and would wake up crying and just wanted to be rocked and patted back to sleep because his tummy hurt - so I am going to try the farex again today but really really runny.
Kelly - how did you go at the sales? I got three doona covers for $100!!! we went to target to look at the high chair that was 50% off but the pattern on it was hideous - I couldn't bear it. So we bought a mothers choice layback one - sounds like I will need to line up the lemon, salt and tequila for Charlie or something! it's not exactly what I wanted but it will be fine
Charlie has been saying his first words (did I already tell you guys this?) - I thought it was a fluke at first but now when he's tired or upset he says... 'mum mum mum' - so sweet - except he did say it to the fridge - but still he said Mum first!
Christmas was hectic - but great - he got so spoilt - lots of toys for when he's a bit older which is good - I can put them away and spring them out in the middle of the year - we got him a jolly jumper and thank god he *loves* it! spins around and bounces and squeals - it's great.
anyway gotta dash he just woke up and I want to get a walk in before it rains - will be back soon - hope everyone is well and happy
looking forward to hearing, from Dee, Bubs, Baiza, Cassie, Mads and Cyn and anyone else I have missed out!
so sick of sliced ham..........
Em!
-
Mads- you must be so tired, poor Freya, i hope those teeth come through soon. I was thinking i might give Charlotte some Rusks, but i might try and make them my self.
Fee- Charlotte is trying to crawl as well, she rolls onto her tummy and try's so hard to put her knees under her tummy, she really wants to do it, but she carn't qutie work it out. I hope that Cooper soon settles for you.
Em- Well done on the doona's, the high chair did look a little funny. How do you make Charli's farex, i mix it with breast milk, and charlotte's poos have been fine. I also make it really runny, i will start to thinken it up in a few days.
I didn't get much at the sales, I got my self Gray's Anatomy season one DVD, I had to return a few things, But Tim is home today and he wants to go and have a look so we are back to the shops.
We went to the beach yesterday, to visit Tim's family as they are all camping at the beach, Madison loved it, and i think we are going down there on New year eve.
Charlotte got heaps too for Christmas:

Well finally Cooper slept through properly again last night. None of this waking to be resettled! He slept until just after 5.00 am and then spent about 15 minutes babbling away to himself happily. Although I did hear him cry out once around 4.30 am but it was just one cry and then nothing.
Phew! I hope he's back to normal now.
Also, I think Cooper must be teething!!! The three of us were in Coles yesterday and I thought I'd check Cooper's gums while we waited at the checkout. I quickly looked and said to Mark, "nah" but then did a double take! I could see two white lines on his lower gum! Mark and I are sure they are two teeth about to break through. How exciting. My mum had a look too and she said it's definitely two teeth!
I'm still having to settle him for day sleeps though. He has forgotten how to self settle! He just rolls all around and then gets up on his feet (underneath his tummy). Poor boy must be getting frustrated. I have to pat his bum and stroke his back to get him to sleep.
Fraser – How cute about Charlie saying "mum". Cooper's been doing that "mum-mum-mum" thing for a while now but only when he cries so I don't think I can really say that he's said a word! Not sure! It's still just a noise.
Mads – Wow so Freya's first tooth is going to be on the top?! I hope she's doing okay.
kmh – Does Charlotte love her Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Puppy? Cooper loves his. It's so funny when he accidently leans on part of it and it sets it off but because he is still leaning on it, the words or song keeps changing quickly.

Fee - You know, with our other two children and especialy our second, Cara, we found that she was a stickler for schedules, had to have the same pattern in her days. If we devated she was a mess. Also, every one was miserable if we went to stay someplace for the weekend or that. She knew it was not her home or her bed and as a result she would not sleep very good, she was cranky the whole time. But as soon as we get her home and she was in her environment every thing was ok again.
Oh ya and Dr Seuss Rocks!!!
All - You know the other thing we have noticed with Corban is if he is going through a growth spurt, his sleep pattern takes a hit too.
Mads - I loved reading about your dad's connection with your baby girl. That is so cute.

Fee, Charlotte does like her puppy, she will just lay there and watch it, and sometimes she does it off, You are soooooooo lucky that you get that much sleep, i got to 2:30am so that was great, Charlotte went through a stage where she was not going to self settle to sleep, but she has gone back to putting her self to sleep. Does Cooper get on to his knee's, Charlotte is trying she can nearly do it.
Well we are off to the beach tonight for New Years to spend it with Tim's family, hopefully the girls will behave and sleep down there.
I hope everyone has a great night and i will chat to you all in 2007:D

We had a fun New Year. We had a party at our house last night. I went to bed at 1.00 am. YAWN! Mark came to bed at 4.00 am! Cooper woke once needing to be resettled around 2.30 am but otherwise slept until nearly 6.00 am – instead of his usual 5.00 am. I was very pleased!
A few new exciting developments. Cooper sounds like he is getting close to saying a word – maybe "dada"?! That's what Mark thinks anyway! Also it sort of looks like Cooper can wave. Perhaps it was coincidence but when a friend waved goodbye to him yesterday he stuck his hand out … and he did it twice! Then he did it again today with Poppy. I'm not sure, but it looks cute anyway.
No further news on the two teeth. They look the same as they did on Saturday.
Oh I forgot to say – the other day I went out of the room for a second to get something. When I came back Cooper had rolled over quite a few times and was all the way under our coffee table!!!
Dustmite – I think Cooper definitely loves being at home and having the same things around him all the time. He doesn't like to be messed around!
kmh – Yeah Cooper gets up on his knees and also his feet. Here is a pic of him a while back. He does it all the time in his cot and won't lie still. I think he is getting frustrated. So I am, trying to get him to sleep!

Fee, Cooper does the same thing that Charlotte does, but she can not get onto her feet, she loves tummy time. Thats great you had a good night. I am tired too i went to bed about 12:30am and had Charlotte in bed last night, we stayed at the beach in a caravan, She was really good, but i really could not get her to sleep until i went to bed, so she has been sleeping heaps today.
Biazar- GOod to hear from you. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your family

Happy New Year every one. I took my two little girls (who are not as little as they used to be) and went about 3 - 4 hours down the road to my parents for a late Christmas. Got lots of snuggles & loves from the girls, was great - a dad's dream come true I guess! Missed baby Corban and the ever gorgeous & beautiful wife but we are now all back together again.
