Hey Sarah, you poor thing. We've had really bad colds here too, and it sucks. I know that with Liam being sick has made his sleeping a nightmare, plus the fact that he's been getting another tooth. It's been at least 2 weeks since I've had anything more than a 4 hour stretch from him ('normally" I get a 5-6 hour stretch), and the last few nights it's been every couple of hours or so. Driving me mental I tell you. But if Bayleigh isn't sick, remember that Penny told you it could take a few days to really kick in with new sleeping patterns, and sometimes it feels like you're going backwards but then they take a huge leap forward. At least I hope they do, otherwise I've got a newborn again . But I would suggest that if the flu really sets in for you & Bayleigh keeps up with the 3-4 times a night, then I wouldn't wait any longer than a week before calling them back & telling them that you're not coping & you really need to get some help. It's the squeaky wheel factor.
Megan - yay for Lucas' crawling. Isn't it so cute. Liam's been pretending that he's about to start crawling properly too, but he has to have bare knees to do it, otherwise he just slips on the floorboards & reverts to being commando boy.
SPeaking of commando boy, he's hanging around my feet which means he's tired of the lack of attention and will get into mischief if I don't go. So I'd better!
Have a good day everyone.

I'm very excited Lucas just crawled all the way across the room chasing a ball! Finally he moves!
-
-
He might move but he still doesnt drink! He he!
-
-
Even bigger claps to Tayah for her standing and walking!:clap:
-
WOW where is everyone? Hope you're ok and have a great weekend!
-
:cheer: Hello I'm here. LOL!
Just popping in quickly, a couple of my girlfriends are coming up for the weekend and I've got a little time to spare for the first time this week! (and a girls night out tonight for the first time in ages yay!!).
Lucas has three teeth now, just noticed the 3rd today, and today is also the first time I can say he has been 'teething'. He has been one very irritable little boy, and quite a handful! The tooth that came through today is the top right one, but not the middle, he already has that one it was the top one next to it, poor thing.
Yay Megan on Lucas rolling, well done! No crawling here yet.
Sarah keep us updated on the sleeping.
Janno hope you are over the worst of your colds, we have been very lucky here, Lucas has never had a cold, touchwood.
 to everyone, have a great weekend!

Hi I am here too! :cheer:- i love this icon! How cute! I have been checking in and out over the past few days, but have been super busy so no time to post. I think everyone must be in the same boat because it is unusually quiet for us chatterboxes!
Mel, Tom is the same as Lucas at the moment. So so cranky - just not himself. I am assuming his top teeth are about to come through - his gums look almost white today where I think the teeth are but he won't let me look in his mouth properly and I have learnt my lesson about sticking my finger in there! Praying it comes through soon because he has just cried all day today - i was just saying to MIL yesterday how lucky we are because he never cries . Have a great time with your girlfriends. A girls night out sounds like so much fun, I think it's time I organised something like that with mine!
Megan - Yay on the crawling! You won't know yourself now you have a bubba on the move! Sounds like Lucas' drinking is going about as well as Tom's! So frustrating but as horrible as it sounds, I am almost glad you are going through the same thing so that I know that my little boy isn't the only one. That sounds bad doesn't it, but you know what I mean. I am trying so hard not to get stressed out by it so that feeding time isn't associated with this horrible battle, and one day he might magically start to drink again! Good news is, I was looking through my baby recipe book and from 9months on they need about 500ml either through bottle/breast or equivalent as dairy products or in cooking. That's 100mls less that we have to worry about! Tom would probably be having less than that at the moment, can get a bit into him if he eats all his cereal and have finally discovered a yoghurt he likes. I have been putting cheese into some of his meals as well. So I definiately know what you are going through. I forgot to mention the other day about us buying the same top - we have matching babies, so we might as well wear matching clothes!
Emma - that is amazing about Tayah walking! It is never ending all this exciting stuff they are starting to discover. Is it just Tyah and Veronica's Avaleigh who have taken steps? These girls are showing up all the rest of the boys!
Sarah - hope the sleeping is going better for you. We had to bite the bullet and leave T to cry at one stage and I think you really get to know the difference between grizzly crying and proper full on crying. He never really got past grizzling, thankgod but he definiately sleeps alot better now.
Well, I have been cooking up a storm today in the kitchen for Tom. Just made some apple and chicken balls for finger food, have a beef casserole cooking in the oven (which i might tuck into because it smells great) and am about to start on a apricot and pear breakfast custard as another way of getting milk into him. We are having a fairly quiet weekend - working tomorrow until 1pm then hopefully relaxing. There is a craft market on nearby on Sunday which I am hoping to drag DH along to with the promise of there being lots of yummy food stalls. Might be nice for a day out and a stroll around. Hope everyone is well and doing something exciting over the wkend!

Hi all,
Xavier is crawling!!! he started today.
V, re amounts to express, it doesn't take long to work out amounts. I started by over compensating, and as long as you are drinking enough water you can work out a rough pattern of how often they feed during the day. EG at the moment Xavier feeds around 10-11 am and 3-4pm, so I express at 11am and 4pm (so milk is avail at right times on weekends) I get 180-200 ml each time, yet he generally only drinks 140-180 ml. I use my body as a guide iykwiim. He doesn't mind real milk, yet he has already had yoghurt/custard and cheese, but he's not overly keen on the strong taste of the weetbix or oates. Oh and creamed rice, he really liked that.
smcgt, Early walking has been on the cards for us here following what his dad did, Xavier has just started crawling, so hopefully he won't folow his dad and start crawling at 9 months.
We had some shocking sleep here too, and after a lot of trail and error, I started giving him morning and afternoon tea and he has greatly improved.
Walking is very exciting ladies, but i'm hoping for another 3 months before it happens here. Although I sometimes worry he will walk early because natahn did, everything else he does is perfectly average, and fairly text book so I thinkwe should be safe for some time.
Megan, I don't think Lucas is slow off the mark, Once upon a time it was fairly unheard of for babies to start walking so early!! It hink it might just be a coincidence that a majority of BB babies are early developers.
RE sleeping patterns, I have been told it can take up to 2 weeks to properly change sleeping patterns. Another thing that has helped Xavier is getting him to bed as soon as possible at night. But we are in a diff situation where I am not in control of his day sleeps, and sometimes he is buggered at night.
em, I have been making Xavier meals on the weekends and then freezing them for the week. I have to admit I have been making foods that I like, and when he doesn't eat all his tea, mummy finishes it off. tee hee, the chicken balls sound good. Let me know how they went down. I found tonight, while eating Stir fry that Xavier enjoys those big flat rice noodles. Who am I kidding he likes to eat anything off my plate.
Xavier,
He is over the 8kg mark, still a booby baby, sleeping is getting better, he has tried lots of different foods now. he sits up well by himself now, and doesn't cry when he topples over. Started crawling today. He seems to be doing all the right things at about the right times, and is generally happy.
The cutest thing he does is after i relent and take him back to bed with me in the mornings some days, when he wakes up and realises he is in our bed and we are both there he has the biggest smiles on his face and does this big stretch like he just had the sleep of a life time, in the biggest comiest bed, not like that little poxy one with the bars that doesn't have mum and dad in it  oh and we have 2 teeth rising up now, both have cut the gums, two front bottom teeth.
best be off, bye.

WAAHOO Bayleigh slept from 7pm till 5am last night:cheer: i got 7 hours straight sleep OMG i felt like a new women today LOL i havent had dat much straight sleep in ummmmm actually i dont know how long LOL
As for my flu i was coming down with it has just disappeared i went to bed feeling liek crap last night so DP ran me a bath n lite some candles for me so i sat in there for close to an hour and then went to bed and i woke up feeling fine today maybe the bath and a good nights sleep did the trick
Picked up my new camera today so i have been madly taking photos of the kids and our puppy gunna take me awhile to work out all the features and working with a SLR camera but im sure it will be fun
Em- Im goin to be cooking up a storm on monday i think bayleigh is gettin sick of vegies and meat so im gunna cook up pasta and vegies n sum sort of sheese sauce not to sure yet
Know what you mean bout the crying bayleigh has only once been past the grizzly cry and that was the first night when he cried for an hour since then he has just been grizzly till he finds his dummy and he goes back to sleep.... but he has been sleeping better in the past week then wat he has been in the last 8 months so fingers crossed its working
Jan hear you about driving you mental bout the sleeping we have had one really bad night since penny came around so i guess that isnt to bad where he woke about 4 times through the night but every other night has been atleast once so i guess we are going forward JUST BRING ON THE 12 HOUR STRIAGHT SLEEP I SAY LOL

Hi Ladies,
Im back and WOW! There is so much i have missed. Thankyou all for you supportive words they have really helped.
I hope you and your bubba's are all well.
Things here are going okay, haven't been able to see the dr yet though as they have been booked out for weeks but its my turn tomorrow lol so hopefully things might start getting better.
Ethan is going really well, has been a bit grizzly for a few days but the weather has been freezing and raining non stop so that could be why i also think he could be teething again, still all gums here at the moment! He is really liking his solids again which is great and he is having 3 x 260mL bottles a day. Not walking yet but is attempting to all the time, so have been having lots of cuddles due to crash landings and face plants! He has let go og the lounge and taken two steps twice. Sleep is okay, i give him a dream feed when im ready for bed, usually between midnight and 2am and sometimes he will sleep until 6-7 others times he will wake up once or twice, he is usually in bed by 6.30pm and will wake 1 or 2 times before i go to bed. Oh and sometimes he will say bye and wave, everytime i bring him out of his room after a sleep he waves and looks around to see if anyone's there, he also wave when i go to put him in the car, funny little thing!
Anyway ethan is napping so i am going to go do some washing.
BBL.

Bayleigh started waving and clapping on friday night he thinks he's very very clever oh and he has learnt to shake his head NO.... i thought it was just a game on saturaday when he first did it but no he does it at the right times like when i tell him not to do something he sits up and shakes his head or if DD is trying to get a toy off him he grabs the toy n shakes his head.. I swear his head will fall off soon LOL

OMG it's too early. Bubs was really grizzly last night and ended up sleeping in our bed which he has not done since he was 6 weeks old (9 months old today!). I'd already gone to bed so DF bought him in to me. I was way too tired to get back up, but I've only slept on and off all night since then.
Jess! ~ yes welcome back, you and Ethan sound like you are doing really well. Good luck at the doctor's today.
Sarah ~ Oh poor Bayleigh, Lucas was fine right up until his first tooth came through  now he has the three and is not a happy camper ATM. Hope that doesnt happen to you as I know how hard you are trying with his sleeping, without throwing teething into the mix too. As for his sleeping though WOW :clap::clap:
Rebecca ~ Yum rice noodles sounds like a great idea for a baby food. I've got tons of vermicelli in the cupboard at the moment too. You and Xave sound fantastic, great to hear from you.
Em ~ Girls night out was great fun, I'm still recovering LOL. Can you see any top teeth yet? Sounds like they are not too far away. Lucas' gums go really white just before the tooth comes through. Your baby apple and chicken balls sound really yummy! I spent all yesterday afternoon in the kitchen as I'd run out of everything in the freezer!
Well better go for now but will pop in again later.

So I read we all have babies not sleeping!??? I was up every few hours to either Indah crying in her sleep or Zyon screaming! Both have woken with snot filled noses & raspy coughs!
A day home on the couch is what we are gonna have!!! I am so tired, about 3wks ago Zy was waking hysterical every hour & screaming like in pain after a few nights I took him to the Dr's whom said he had NFI... about 5 or 6 nights later I gave him warmed waster rather than br?ast & he then only woke 3 times & the following night only once & since then he hasnt woken... Til last night!!! GGGRRRR!!!!
He is standing & letting go of furniture now & stealing anything thats on top of the coffee table!
He dances all day & calls out Mumma 24/7 !! I feel so loved!!!
