Congratulations Fran and David on the birth of Alessia Georgia!
Veronica - yes, I do worry that I sleep through Diana wanting to feed at night, but I think that everyone is right that some kind of mother's intuition kicks in so that you don't do it.
Rebecca - I think that if you express for comfort reasons you can freeze the milk to give to Xavier later. I started expressing when Diana was about 2 weeks old, just to practice, and Stan started giving her the occasional night feed soon after that. I hadn't heard that you shouldn't do it before six weeks, but luckliy we haven't had any problems.
Tracey - where are you flying to? Are there any special things you need to consider when flying with a young baby? I want to take Diana to New Zealand for Christmas, but I have been told that the air pressure on take off and landing could be dangerous to a baby's eardrums. Is there any truth to this?? It seems unlikely, but I am kind of paranoid.
Well, Diana has been very alert tonight. Its so cute. Just before I was waving to Stan as he left for work and Diana followed my hand with her eyes and started waving too (I'm sure that it was involuntary, but very cute nonetheless). :)
