Hi Everyone
Nicky- Congrats on the engagement and surprise wedding, I love that idea and have thought of doing it too. Wow at your little man having 8 teeth, tayah is still a gummy bub.
em- Tayah will be with family when im on prac, my mum the 1st week, my dad the 2nd and DP the 3rd and 4th weeks. yes Tayah is painting in my ticker pic, she LOVED it. i agree on tayah been super cute :) not so sure bout the gorgeous mummy part tho, but thanks.
Sacha- thanks for the good luck. I have a year 6 class, which im a little nervous about as i have only worked with little kids before. And yes we have been doing lots of videos, luckily we bought a new one just before easter. tayah loves Hi5 too, we also have only 1 dvd so its driving me a little nuts too
Megan- we had a photo shoot done about a month ago, we planned on only buying a couple of photos and ended up with $300 worth  but its hard not to buy them when they are all so cute. Were goin pretty good here with finger food, only the occasional mushing- usually with something really juicy and messy like orange.
Sarah- How is Bayleigh going? Everything settled down?
Well Tayah has finally started saying 'Dad', after months of hearing mum, mum, mum, its so exciting to hear something different. its also good news as we were told that if she could not say 'dad' that it was an indication that her tongue tie would cause speech probs, so YAY. Shes also started clapping and doing the indian thing where she taps her mouth and makes sounds, its very cute.
I only read through the posts quickly as Im busy finishing all my uni assignments this week before prac next week. So Hi to anyone I missed
-
Thanks for all that info EM, I am trying not to let it stress me but it seems to take up so much of my day!! DH is in his room at the moment trying to give him his last bottle, we thought we'd try him in the dark and quiet again but given the crying i dont think its working! I am so glad Tom is going better i know how much is was getting to you too. I will try the cows milk mix tomorrow! Very funny how these boys are so similar, and i am glad you got a good perve on the barber!
EMMA - good luck with your placement. I am a secondary school teacher so have been through it all! I know it can be pretty stressful doing placements so i hope you get a nice supervisor and a nice grade!! Very cute that Tayah does the indian noise!!
And on the photos, we are talking ridiculous amounts...you cant actually just get the prints you have to order them on canvas etc so it will cost $500 just for one..........they definately sucked us in by getting us there for the free shoot and one free photo!! But the free photo is even worth over $250!! Crazy!!

Sacha ? Good to hear all is well for you and Autie. How are the daily walks going? I have started meeting regularly with a friend for power walks along the breakwall with the boys (her son is 3 months old), but we have been missing out lately as it has done nothing but rain for weeks. How is Autumns eczema?
Star ? Great to hear from you Amelie sounds like she is doing great.
Raels ? Hi! How are you and what have you been up to? How is Oliver and how has his sleeping been? Looks like he is getting big, he is very cute. When are you getting married? How are the plans going?
Sara ? How is the gorgeous Kaetlyn going? I will have to visit your facebook page to see some pictures of her. :)
Rebecca ? How is Xavier? Is he saying mum? Soon it will be mum-mum-mum-mum non stop especially if he is sooky, he will call out to you to come and get him! Would'nt it be the best mothers day present if he said it on mothers day!
Nicky ? Hope you saw my other message about trying Duphalac for infant constipation. I have also been trying to find this internet article I read that really helped me understand infant constipation, will get it to you if I can ever find it.
TOJ ? Yay on the first tooth, hope you are feeling well and don?t have too much morning sickness.
Janno ? How are the baby books going? I have a stack of books that I always refer to and I agree they are really handy. Have you checked out what baby and parenting books are at your local library also? My library here has a huge selection and they are always buying new books.
Emma M ? Cute pic of Tayah painting!! Does she try and put it in her mouth? I don't know if I would trust Lucas with a paint brush! Good luck for your prac.
Megan ? Has Lucas tried Heinz custard powder? It takes up a fair bit of formula to make, and thickens alot too, you can keep adding more like Emma suggested with the weetbix.
And lots of love to everyone xox
All is well baby wise here, we have 5 teeth now, 3 on top 2 on the bottom. Not much else to report! We are moving house in 3 weeks so facing the daunting task of sorting and packing. I have had two weeks off for the school holidays but back into it this week. I love my job, I have never been able to say THAT before!!
Bye everyone!
-
Oh V by the way I hear you on the baby sleeping but you not sleeping thing. Lucas has slept through for a long time but I still find myself up and awake at all hours.
-
Hey everyone. Thanks to tose of you who have congratulated me:) Very much appreaciated:)
I've been pretty busy of late, Lach's been a bit sick, and I have been aswell. Had a bad last few days, but at least he is sleeping better at night:)
teeth 7,8,9&10, had cut the gums, but went back down. Bloody teeth. LOL
Lachs been pulling himself to stand heaps of late, and I hope it's just a phase but we'll see:)
AMM yeah I did see your poast, thanks:) Gp finally referred us to a pead, so am looking forward to seeing what he says, and getting myself ready for a fight if he tries to fob us off. LOL
Sorry guys, I haven't the time to scroll back through the posts, but I promise I will:)
TOJ - Hows the little belly bubba going?? I am so jealous, I wish I was preggers again.... oh well, not long to wait now till we TTC. Yay!
ANys, must go.
much love to you all
xxoo
-
Nikki, thats terrible you had to wait so long for the refferal and it sounds like it took them to see it for themselves first, even though he has had such a sore bum. I tried Lucas on the coloxyl drops too, all it did really was make it worse as he'd make all the sounds and movements and be in pain but nothing would come out. Bummer there is a 6 week wait for the paed. :wall: Do you think they could give you advise over the phone on what the paed recommends for infant constipation? You could check first to see that his records have been sent over. Lucas had really bad constipation when he was 6 weeks+ and like I said the Duphalac that our paed recommended was the only things that stopped it. DF and I, and this is going to sound funny, but we agree that during the time he was constipated, was harder for us than when he was in NICU after major abdominal surgery(probably because we were alone and clueless on what to try next). So I definately understand what you guys are going through and I hope you get some answers soon.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi girls
Gee its been ages since i have been able to sit down n type something in here, i have been coming by and checking things out ......
Bayleigh has a really bad cold and therefor our sleeping is up the creek again GRRRRR He's even refusing to have day sleeps if he does sleep he will for only about half an hour and hes worse then wat he was before he went down...

He also thinks hes a big boy n doesnt like to sit in the high chair he wants to sit on the pinic table that DD and DstepS sit at so yesterday we let him sit there with his brother n sister to eat his lunch of lil hotdogs n he thoguht it was was fantastic n he sat there n ate all his lunch without moving so i sat him there again today for lunch n he did the same ( i thought he would have moved as it was only him there)

Hi ladies
Just popped in to catch up...again! Sorry i have not been around but im afraid to say the m/s has kicked in and really bad:( And its worse than when pg with ethan, although im not vomiting this time round, but its a constant all day and night nausea/queasiness which makes me shake, sometimes i wish i would just vomit and ease the nausea for at least 10mins lol gross i know. Any way enough about vomit lol :D
Ethan has no more teeth but still having teething symptoms though so hopefully soon. I was so so proud of him the other night as he slept for 13hrs!!! From 6.30pm till 7.30am! Pity i had a crap nights sleep though, but it definately made a difference from the 3-4 times a night where still having.
Well i am going to have to go, i apologize for no personals and will try later or tomorrow to come and do them, im off to have a lie down.
Hope you are all well and had a great start to the week:) BBL

Just popping my head up to say hi to everyone. We're just pottering along here, as you do. Liam's 4th tooth has finally put in an appearance, so I'm hoping for a couple of weeks of more sleep & better eating. He's also started crawling properly, although reverts to commando when he's tired, and he's pulling himself to standing on everything. Especially my legs. Which is pretty cute, although sometimes at the end of a long day I could do without the groping IYKWIM. And his new favourite toy is the upside-down washing basket. Typical kid - so many proper toys, and all he wants is the washing basket. Mental head, but pretty funny, he balances up against it and bashes it like a drum. And I think he has a new favourite book. We borrowed "where's spot" from the library and he seems really taken by it, which is great for me, cos I'm so over "where's the green sheep"! Although the love shown for Spot might make me have to go & get a permanent copy anyway. Apologies for no personals today, am just feeling a bit knackered, and to be honest, want to catch up with some TV time now that Liam is in bed.

Hi all!
Pretty buggered here too, and by the looks of the lack of posts it seems everyone's in the same boat! Lucas has had a shocking cold this week and has developed a cough today....his nose is a tap and he HATES me trying to wipe it!! He has been up a number of times a night all this week, cant complain though cos the poor kid cant breathe!! You can imagine what this has done to our already dismal milk drinking!! Not much else to report but i think we have sold our house again, fingers crossed!!
Hope everyone out there is doing ok!!
xx

Hi everyone! Sorry I havn't been in here for ages! But you know how life gets in the way!
Congrats to Tears of Joy and Niadla! Babies and Weddings my two favourite things:hooray:
I hope everyone else is doing great too!
Quick question- Link doesn't hold his bottle, we hold it for him! He can hold it but he just squirts milk everywhere or chucks it and doesn't drink it! Its frustrating!! Should he be drinking it by himself? Its hard to judge making him drink it himself and getting it into him! I just don't know, plus I like cuddling him and giving him his bottle :D
I'm so excited cos it looks like Link is up with all the other July babies:dance: He does all the things that you are all talking about! He crawls, has two teeth and eats finger food! He has started to hold onto furniture and take little steps sideways I'm so damn proud of him! My little STAR!!!
Well take care everyone, sorry about no personals but its hard to keep up with you all! lol
xox
-
Nay - Lucas doesn't hold his bottle either...too lazy! But he hardly drinks it when we hold it anyway!!
-
Nay ~ Link sounds like he is going great, you must be so proud of him. Do you often think back to his NICU days when you look at him? I do that with Lucas. We usually feed Lucas his milk bottles (ends up on the floor otherwise) but we try and encourage him to hold his own water or juice.
Janno ~ Yay  on Liam crawling and pulling himself up! Hope you had a nice rest too. ;)
Megan and Sarah ~ Hope the boys colds are getting better.
Nicky ~ I spelt your name wrong before sorry I have a good friend that spells it that way! How is Lachlan?
I'm admiring your decision to have a surprise wedding ATM too Nicky. My original plans of a tiny wedding with only the 3 of us in the south pacific has gone out the window. :o
Our parents wanted to come (couldnt say no) so we decided on a Lord Howe Island wedding to save everyone getting passports, then our brothers and sisters started talking about coming too so we decided to be done with it and have the wedding here with an island honeymoon. A far cry from our original no fuss plans.
BUT I have found the perfect spot for the ceremony and reception, it is a beautiful beach house on 28 acres and is exactly what I was looking for, for our now 50max guestlist. (If you want to have a look blissbeachhouse.com.au/photos.html).
Bye for now xox
-
hehe thanks AMM. Yeah lach's going well. The #2's still aren't fantastic but aere better than they were... just dont want to be relying on coloxyl drops, and have his bowel get lazy.
The wedding is coming along well. We have decided to tell parents, as this is the first family wedding and probably the only one for quite a few years, Adam and I are both the oldest.
ANys, Telling mum tonight. Can't wait:) No other family members know, and no other guests.
We have the venue and celebrant booked, my engagement ring adam found on the weekend, so will pikc that up next week all going well, my friend is making my dress, so going down for first fitting etc next weekend. It's starting to come together. I don;t care if noone but family turns up.... as Long as Adam and I get married, that's ll that matters to me:) Looking very forward to it though:)
We organise photographer next week.
Amm - That beach house is gorgeous!!! WOW!
Well Lach's teeth are giving him hell again.... 7th and 8thhave cut through again (albeit on some toys at another mums house... lol.... blood all over the toy). They are only just through, tiny little spikes, but enough to have him pretty cranky.
Oh and he stood on his own for a few sconds the other night! OH NO!!!!!! I don't want that yet! lol
anys, its freezing cold, and I have to get ready to go out. Have a good one all:)
-
Hi girls! Not sure if this post is going to work - I think my computer has a virus, it's running super super slow and is so frustrating!
Just wanted to say hi and hope everyone is well.
AMM - the house is seriously gorgeous! I love it and it looks like the perfect spot. I love all this wedding talk! Nicky - you sound nice and organised already - keep us updated. I love weddings!
How is all the day sleeping going for everyone? T seems to be cutting back to about 1 and a half hours in the morning and about 45mins to 1 hour in the afternoon. It seems to be working well though. Sleeping through again, thankgod! The only night he wakes is a Wednesday night when i have been at work that day, I think he needs to fill his cuddle quota!
The little muffin is awake so no time for any more personals. Everything is going pretty well here - crawling properly, standing, attempting to walk (boo hoo), eating pretty good, bottles going much better than they were. Sarah - Tom won't hold his, if we try to make him he just tips it upside down.
Jan - I know what you mean about getting sick of the same book. Tom is obsessed with It's Time for Bed. I brought him a great one from work called Ten Little Glow Worms that has flashing lights etc, but it is always straight over to the other one. His latest trick is when I say "what noise does a bird make', he says "Wack wack wack". DH is devastated - he keeps saying "He won't say Dad, but he will quack like a duck".
Well, better be off. Not sure when I will be back due to computer - it is driving me nutso so I hope everyone has a
 HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!
-
Well my poor little pumpkin has a chest infection...he sounds awful, with a shocking cough and raspy breathing. Strangely enough even though he was worse yesterday it was the first night in a week we didnt have to get up to him, he was coughing all night though. He is happy during the day though, just a bit clingy by the afternoon.
Em - Lucas does a morning and afternoon sleep of between an hour and an hour and a half usually. He survives on that and is in bed by 7pm each night! The "wack wack" is so cute!!
Nicky - sounds like the wedding plans are going great guns! Good luck with it all, its such a fun time!
I cant believe how many teeth Lach has!
August - the beach house looks ace, i hope it all works out how you want it to!
Just wondering what all the bubs are being fed these days? Not sure if i am moving on enough with Lucas and not sure what to give next, especially with finger food?? What are you guys giving for lunch these days? Also, Lucas still rarely stands on flat feet he is always on his toes, so he will never walk if that doesnt change, should i be worried??
Well i will be off i need to have a break in case we have a long night!!
-
Sarah - poor little Bayleigh, how's his cold going? Hopefully he's feeling better by now. And how's the walking going, any more steps??
Jess - any sign of those teeth yet? I hope Ethan's still giving you some long night sleeps. The MS just sucks though, at least you know that it does actually end...
Nay - it's great to hear that Link is doing so well, and learning so many things. Even with a full-termer, I still occasionally worry about the speed at which Liam is or isn't doing things, so it must be really gratifying to have Link doing the same thing as kids that should by rights have been a bit older than him. They're amazingly clever really.
August - what a gorgeous venue for your wedding. I am looking forward to hearing lots of your planning stories, weddings are so exciting.
Nicky - how did your Mum take the news?? You sound like you're super-organised. And how's the standing going (Lachlan's, not yours :) )
Em - the quacking would be adorable to hear, and very clever. It's funny how they get obsessed by one book. Although I think I've managed to break the green sheep hold - we borrowed "where's Spot" from the library, and have to say it's an absolute winner. Don't know what it is, but there's something about it that really engages him, and I'm quite sure that when we do the bedtime routine now he looks for it. I have so many books lined up that I'm dying to read to him, but which are just a bit too "wordy" for him at the moment. My latest favourite is a newish release one called "Cork on the Ocean" by Mark Somerset. It's a gorgeous story, and lovely metaphor for life really. Liam also loves one by William Bee called "and the Train goes..." It's lots of fun to read. Sorry, am obsessed with kids books at the moment...
Megan - any news on the house yet? We're still pretty slow with food. He gets Rafferty's garden cereal from the green packed mixed with apple for breakfast, although we have got the apricot/banana flavour to try. For lunch, I'm now doing a slice of wholegrain bread (sometimes toasted, sometimes not) half of which I spread with avocado, the other bit with vegemite. He prefers the avocado at the moment. I've also been giving him bits of cheese, just cut from a block of normal cheese, no fancy kid-cheese for us. So either tasty cheese, or the old-fashioned Kraft Cheddar in the blue box. He's not fussed about the cheese, but I'm working on the basis that one day he'll go yum... Lunch is a finger food experience. Then for dinner he gets my super vegie mix (sweet potato, carrots, zucchini, broccoli, corn, leek, cauliflower) mixed with either pumpkin/chicken or pumpkin/steak, and sometimes with a cube of potato as well. I usually mix through some cous-cous (cos it's sooo easy to prepare) or pasta or rice (if we've had rice for our dinner). Sometimes I melt cheddar cheese through this mix as well, but not always, cos I want him to eat plain vegies happily. Depending on what his appetite is like I'll sometimes offer an extra teaspoon or so of apple mixed with plain yogurt for dessert. I'm using the Jalna Bio-dynamic Natural yogurt, with a red lid, as it's not low fat and I think is a little creamier than the Paul's natural yogurt. I was initially sceptical that he'd eat the yogurt, but he's definitely coming around to the idea. If I taking him out and know that he might be stuck in his pram for a while, then I usually take some broken up pieces of rye cruskit, which he likes to chew on. However, having typed all of that, Liam's been really slow when it comes to being interested in food, so some of the others will probably have better experiences/ideas. Regarding his tippy toes, I wouldn't be worried exactly, but I'd probably be getting it checked out, and not just by a normal GP, I'd want a paed to have a look.
We've had a long day so far. Liam woke at 3.30 last night (hmm, and that's different because?? I hear you say ....) but he did this weird "I'm going to be sick" convulsion, but then didn't, but he did have a temp that I measured at 38.7, and was really pale & sad. And so that's been my day really, a couple of doses of Dymadon, a trip to the drs, and then more doses of Nurofen. He's sleeping now, and temp seems to have gone down, so fingers crossed he has a good nights sleep, poor little tacker.
And a bit of a "secret", mainly because it feels a bit weird to be writing it, but there is the possibility that there will be some shopping for bling tomorrow (health of child permitting), of the left ring finger style, so that it a bit exciting really. We're not telling anyone until we've got the ring sorted out, but everyone here knows that the "not telling" clause doesn't apply to BB buddies!!
Take care everyone, and hope that everyone's first live Mother's Day is really really special.

janno27- Bayleighs cold is heaps better now i just need to stop his runny nose.... Bayleigh like the washing basket too, Even better a full washing basket with nicely folded washing in it as he likes to empty it all out on to the floor then plays peek a boo by putting clothes over his head LOL
Megan76- Bayleigh eats 1 1/2 weetbix for breakfast and for lunnch he can have either a vegimite sandwich or fruit jelly or pasta but he prefers the sandwich as he can feed himself, Also bayleigh stood on his tippy toes when he first started standing but he soon learnt to stand flat footed
Em- Bayleigh is about the same as T for his day sleeps, Very clever on T making Wack Wack Wack sounds. Bet it sounds very cut3
Nicky- How did you mum take the wedding news? Is she excited? I bet she would be
OMG on the teeth... Wish bayleigh had that many
AMM- The beach house is gorgous
Nay23- Bayleigh has been holding his own bottle since he was about 5 months old.. We lay him on the flip out Couch and he just lays there and drinks his bottle Only really plays with it if he isnt thirsty or he is sick... If he is sick i cuddle him and feed him but he gets grumpy with that as he is LIL MR Independant
TOJ- Hows the M/S going? That is the worse thing about being pregnant i reackon.....
 YAY on Ethan sleeping 13 hours how awesome.. But its always the way they sleep well when you have a crap night...
Well as for us
:dance:WE HAVE A TOOTH
It came through yesterday i found it when he decided to chew on my fingers LOL i was sooo excited its only taken us 9 and a half months but we have gotten there
Bayleigh also took 5 steps on thursday it took him over a min to take the 5 steps as he steadyed himself up a couple of times
I have started to organise Bayleighs birthday LOL i know its still over 2 months away but i have a lot of family that live in melb actually all my family live in melb except my mum n 2 of my brothers and chris' aunts n cousins live in shepperton so i have to give them plenty of time to save and organise things.... really only reason im sending invites soon is so people cant use the excuse "We didnt have enuff notice" coz i know few of them will use it
I think i have found the cake i will make ( i have made everyone of my DD birthday cakes n 2 of DStepS cakes ) but i cant decide whether to do Thomas or a Car.....
Well better head off Children want food
Sorry if i missed any of u in the personals i know i did but there is just sooooo many of them LOL so once again im sorry if i missed you
Hope you all have a good weekend and hope you have a
FANTASTIC MOTHERS DAY Tomorrow
Sarah
