Hi Ladies,
Well I finally had Noah's 12mth injections today, he coped well and was back to laughing and playing about 45secs after we came out of the room. He is 11.9kg and 82cm long! So in the 97th percentile for heigh and 90th percentile for weight lol

OK this afternoon sleep is not working for me i have decided! It was 9.15pm before we got Lucas to sleep after he had a nearly 2 hr sleep from 3.30pm. Not sure what to do because he is ratty and exhausted at 3.30pm so to survive till bed time would be a disaster too! Oh the dilemmas!

Hi Girls,
I'm in love with the Olympics,I am an Olympic tragic, cos I watch just about anything. It's the most television Liam has seen in his entire life, although fortunately he mostly ignores it, so I won't have problems keeping the tv turned off once they're finished.
I'm too blurry-minded to do much in the way of personals, so I'm just going to make comments that I can remember...
Em - Liam & I are real, we're waaaay to boring to be trolls! We're still in spoon-land here, although the balance of power over the spoon is shifting, Liam is starting to flap his arms around if I feed him but is happy to feed himself. Independent little thing, seems to think he's going to grow up or something.
megan - Liam fights to only have 1 sleep a day, but he's so much happier when he's had 2. He's become a bit of a bugger lately, because he'll only have an afternoon sleep if he's bf'ed to sleep, and won't sleep in his bed, will only snooze on me. Or sometimes in his pram, but when it's cold & rainy like it's been the last few days an afternoon walk isn't generally on the cards.
V - only just started on cows milk here, and you guys all know about my struggle to get Liam to drink anything other than BM. He's slowly getting better at it, but it's hard work. Although if I maybe bottled his warm bathwater I'd have more success, he willingly drinks heaps of this each night. I generally offer him BM when he wakes up, which is usually somewhere between 7 and 8. I have so far hit the jackpot by not getting a kid who wants to be awake at 6am, which I am very grateful for.
Sacha - I've so far resisted the bottle idea, in favour of trying to get him to go straight to cups. A couple of reasons for this, it means I don't have to go and buy bottles, and if weaning off a bottle is as challenging as weaning of BF, well, I just haven't got the energy :). In any case, I think I'd have the same issues with a bottle anyway, in terms of lack of interest, although if the bottle belongs to another kid then he's pretty interested for a while. I wish that Liam would occasionally be interested in DVDs, but the one's that I've tried just don't seem to do anything for him (Wiggles, Hi-5, Baby einsteins). The DVD player is another story.... I've brought his dinner time back to about 5pm as my way of getting rid of the 5pm BF. So he eats before his bath, then after the bath he gets his apple & yoghurt dessert, which he rather likes.
Sarah - how's the packing going? And oh dear for Bayleigh's poo-in-the-bath habit... Touch wood Liam's only done this a couple of times, he seems to be more of a morning poo boy for the most part. Does Bayleigh like showers? If he does, maybe giving him just showers for a week or 2 might help break the habit?
Jas - that's great that Noah was ok with his injections. We've got Liam's coming up in a couple of weeks, I'm looking forward to them being over. It's weird, cos I'm not at all queasy if it's an injection for me, but I get all funny with Liam's.
Is anyone using toothbrushes yet? I've been a bit slack, but am going to go and buy one for Liam to use in the bath, cos then it can be Pat's job to teach him, as Pat does the bathing...hehe, finally I'm delegating.
Okay, I love the Olympics, and I enjoy tennis, but seriously, what are Nadal & hewitt doing at the Olympics - that's a farce. I'm off to get a cup of tea, and hopefully they'll have a real olympic sport on by the time I get back.

Hi ladies :)
I have just caught up and am too tired to do personals atm, sorry.
Although i must say a Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Jas on the exciting news of your pregnancy. Hope you have a wonderful and healthy pregnancy :)
Just quickly, Ethan is over all the illness  and he cut another tooth today and since it came through he has been sooo happy, except for the few tantrums!! They are a regular occurence in our day
I just had a scan and bubs is doing great. Very relieved. Unfortunately i have placenta praevia so depending on the result of a further scan at 30 wks i may need bub delivered via c-sect. I have my fingers crossed though that my placenta may still move away from the cervix a bit more by then. The bleeding i have had is caused by this so still trying to take it a bit easier for the time being.
And i have some more good news to share too, My belly bubba is another healthy "Little Prince"!! I gave in and found out at the scan :D You are the only people to know other than Dh, ethan and I.
Okay for now good night ladies. I will pop back tomorrow, my visitors only left this morning as did Dh so im going to go and sleep in peace.

Thanks Jess, Congratulations on having a boy!!!!!
-
Hey Jess, that's very exciting that you're having another boy. Although I suppose it would be just as exciting if it had turned out to be a girl, but you know what I mean. It's great too that Ethan is back to his best healthwise. Although aren't the tantrums fun, scary to think this is just the start of them really. Fingers crossed that that placenta moves up.

Hey gorgeous Mummies!!
Hope you are all well!! I don't have time for personals at the moment but will get back soon I promise!!
Things here have been turned upside down!! DH and I have bought a business 3.5 hrs away from where we live. All was planned to move up there in October and to take over at the start of November. DH's work asked him though if he could leave early so a new guy can come in and take over as "that is what suits them". I was pretty peeved but that's another story! Anyway... we spoke about it and we are now moving in 4 WEEKS!!!! Our house is on the market so fingers crossed we sell it quickly so there's not as much pressure with loan repayments etc. So I have a lot to organise in the next few weeks! Power, electricity, insurance etc. All on top of packing and chasing after a very active 1 yr old!! DH finishes work in 2 weeks but he will be packing up his GINORMOUS shed. At least I will have him around to help out.
I better get a move on... I have to go into town and drop off things here, there and everywhere!! Have a great day... will be nice to get out and about on this lovely sunny day on the coast!!
-
Wow Oshani! You have been busy! What kind of business have you bought? Have you bought a new house where you r moving to?
-
so quiet in here - I'm keeping an eye out for tumbleweeds :). Hopefully it just means that everyone is busy, rather than having problems.
Well, I've had a bit of a day. Liam woke at about 2am this morning, he had a 38.8 fever poor little man, so gave him a feed & some Nurofen, then back to bed. He woke again at about 5.30, so brought him into our bed for another feed, and had a nice, but rare, cuddle/sleep with him until 7ish. He's never been into co-sleeping, just wants his own space, so it's a bit spesh when he does stay. He was okay, ate a good breakfast, went back for his morning sleep no probs, but woke up again with a temp of 38.8, so this time did a dose of Dymadon, which helped drop it back. Met Pat for lunch (Japanese yum....), then home, where Liam had a BFing snooze (where he's asleep unless I try to unlatch him from me), then we met Pat at the shops cos we were signing up for new phones. By the time we finished that it was after 5.30 (sooooo not impressed with myself, I knew it wouldn't be quick, but let myself be talked into going anyway), but which stage liam's temp was 39.3....The really weird thing is that although he's been a little bit lethargic & a bit more cuddly than usual, he's actually been in a good mood all day. Oh, and he did a poo in the bath.... So anyway, he's in bed drugged up, fingers crossed he'll be over whatever is causing these temp spikes. And he has a new noise - it sounds like he's frothing a capuccino, very cute.
Hope everyone's okay.
-
Seriously - tumbleweeds.....
I'm going to have to entertain myself with an update....I worked out where Liam's cappucino noise is coming from, and it turns out it's not a cappucino machine noise. He was given a fisher price farmyard tractor that has a pig on it, and when you press the driver's seat it makes a pig noise (or is that a cappucino noise...) Anyway, this is what he's copying. So cute. He still has a spiky fever, so we've been to the dr to just get things checked out like ears & chest, but all clear, so at this stage just a nuisance of a fever but nothing serious, which is good. Going to the dr gets Pat off my back a bit, he frets enormously when Liam's unwell, it's really quite annoying at times.
So, anyway, at least I've bumped our thread back to the front page again.

 Jan. Yep, VERY quiet in here lately!! Sorry to hear that Liam isn't well still :( Whatever this horrible thing is, it's sure going round. Oscar has had it and a gf's bub has it too. Fingers crossed he is better soon! So cute about the cappucino noise  It makes me laugh when they copy things.. clever little mites they are!
Jas- We bought a Fish & Chip shop/ Milkbar. We are going to change a few things around but will have to wait until we get in there to do everything and watch everything run for a while.
Jess- How exciting to have another little prince on the way! Will be great to be able to use all of Ethan's clothes so you can get your monies worth out of them! Most of Oscar's clothes still look brand new!! (Well, from when he was smaller! As he gets older they are looking more worn ;) )
:hello: to you gorgeous Mummies and bubs!! Hope you are all well xx

Hey everyone, it's me - again. As you might have noticed, I've changed my username. I was never really happy with Janno27, and recently a couple of people I know have joined BB and I am kind of hoping to get some temporary anonymity from them, so it seemed like a good time to change...
Dani - you & DH are going to have a crazy busy few months ahead of you I reckon. Exciting though, to have a new adventure ahead of you.
-
 I just saw that someone "new" had posted in this thread and though "Oooer.. a newcomer ;) ". Then I realised you have changed!!
-
-
Me Three! How are you Mel? Have been thinking about you
-
HELLO!
Thought I'd pop in cos JAN you seem to be getting bored! He he!
Jan - Sorry about your bad day the other day, especially the poo in the bath, fortunately we havent come across one of those yet! I'm glad you got DH of your back by going to the doc's, i find every time we go lately they cant do anything anyway and you just go back to giving panadol and waiting it out!! Also, dont feel bad i am an Olympic tragic too, i love it! By the way, where do you go to change your username, i tried to do it the other day and couldnt find it!
Oshani - WOW, busy girl! I hope you get everything sorted out as quickly as you can which is no mean feat with a one year old.We are moving again in a couple of weeks and i am dreading it! Good luck with the business, how exciting!
Jess - I'm glad all is well with your baby BOY!!
Well yesterday i decided to only give Lucas one sleep so he slept from about 11.15 - 12.30pm. He was fine all afternoon and went to bed without a fuss at 7pm! YAY! But then today he fell asleep in the car for about 40 min and we are back to the battle again tonight, DH is in this room now trying to get him to sleep and its nearly 8.30pm. Think we have to bite the bullet and go with one sleep but we are often in the car in the afternoons so it cant be helped!! Anyway that was all just a big waffle and i am sure everyone is sick of my sleep dilemmas!!
Hope you are all good!!

I think I'm drunk from the risotto Dan just made - he went a teensy bit overboard with the wine and it's the most alcohol I've had in a nearly two years LOL
Em, Tom kissing the horses and strangers at the shop - so sweet! I caught Autie kissing the pictures of the little kids in her ABC book the other day.
Megan, we are back to two sleeps most days as long as she's up by 6am. She does ok without the other one but still not quite ready I don't think. I don't let her sleep past 3.30pm though, because I like her in bed by 7.30 at the latest.
Jan, I have to agree on the olympic tennis thing - don't they get enough coverage already? And I thought only amateurs could go in the Olympics? Somebody please get me up to speed! We have used a toothbrush since autie got her first teeth. I bought the Pigeon 3 pack of progressive ones and we are using number two atm. No toothpaste though. How is Liam and his temp?
Jess, congrats on your baby boy! Two little men to look after mum when they get big! Great to hear Ethan is healthy and well again. I had to wait until 36wks to find out if my placenta was too low but it turned out to be fine (then I had an EC anyway! LOL)
Dani, wow, what a big change for you all! Hope everything goes super smooth for you.
Mel, no more lurking! Is all well with you? How is Jack going with his glove?
We just had another major bed time chunder tonight  At least I had Dan home this time to clean Autie up while I changed the bed, and luckily, both her cuddlies (two elephants both called Johnson) were out of the line of fire. Not sure what it was all about but she was fine after.
We had swimming today which she is loving. She is now swimming under the lane ropes and jumping into me on her own. I have to say though, that I won't mind when she's old enough to do the lessons on her own - it's freezing standing there getting her changed while dripping wet.
I've found a hairdresser who'll come to the house so both of us are getting a cut next week. Autie's hair is long enough to twist and clip like a french roll type thing - ridiculously in the way for a 13m old! I'm a bit nervous as I've had the same hairdresser for 13 years but she's MIA and I'm devastated - she always rings me when she's moving to another salon but I've had no word - hope she's ok actually.
What Makes Me Giggle - the men's gymnastic floor routines - specifically the little pointed toe, arms in the air steps they take to get back to the corner and the quick back arching poses down on the floor as fillers - is it only me that finds them a little on the girly side?
I'm off! Have a loverly Friday!
-
Megan - you are very kind coming in to help me with my boredom ;). It's easy to change your username - go to the top of this page (or any page for that matter) and on the left hand side you will see "User Profile". Click on this, which takes you to your user profile (yes, really), then scroll down to the bottom of the page, and again on the left hand side there's an option called "Request Username". Put in the user name you're after, hit the go button, then wait until one of the mods gets back to you to say all ok - they send a PM when it's done. It took maybe 48 hours for it to come through for me. And that's all there is to it.
And you're right about the dr - all he said was to keep up the panadol, and to come back in 2 days if Liam is still getting high temps. Which I knew would be the answer, but it was good to eliminate ears/chest problems at this stage.
I guess one sleep a day takes a few days to really get used to, but it's good that you had one day where it worked, that gives you some hope for the future.
