Babies Born July 2007 #24

Hi all,

LOL at Iggle Piggle and kids going nuts, Olivia goes nuts whenever she sees something iggle piggle or upsy daisy in the shops, its so cute. She has a few things for xmas. She already has 3 books, and tonight she was going into her room to get books, one at a time, and each time she brought out those books - DH rolled his eyes cause he don't understand it and she wanted him to read them to her!!! (I was watching Home and Away so I got out of it) hehe

Just a quick one from me, we have to clean tonight for the open tomorrow (still haven't sold the damn house). I got Olivia some shoes yesterday, bit early but makes it easier to go outside when the ground is hot. I take them off as soon as we get inside though - she loves them :)

Have a great weekend all, we have a 1st birthday and swimming, then I have my annual girls ****tail party :)

wow it has been so long since I've posted!!! I've missed heaps! Noah started walking about a month ago and we found out last friday we are expecting a boy!!! Well so sorry for the crappy post will try to get in soon for a proper update...having issues with our net at home

It's been ages since I posted in here. I have been reading bits and pieces so sort of keeping up.

A month ago Oliver's Dad moved out, so things haven't been too good on my end. I am struggling with the single mother stuff, the loneliness is a bit hard to bare sometimes, but I am determined to give it my best. I have decided to get a job next year (need the money), so Oliver will have to go into care. I am opting for family day care, just waiting on a spot for him. He is a super clingy boy so I would like to have him settled before I start looking for work.

Oliver is doing well, running around everywhere and getting into all sorts of mishief!! I am still breastfeeding but am considering weaning in the new year.

Hope everyone is well, I will try and pop back in soon.

I'm sorry to hear that Raels, I'm sure it's been up and down for you lately. You poor thing, I send massive massive hugs to you and little Oliver. Well done on the BF. Glad to hear he is doing well, sounds like he keeps you on the go, bit like this little monster, currently doing a figure 8 between my legs ;). Anyway hunny, I hope you have more good days than bad ahead of you. I'll be thinking of you, and remember we are all here for you, baby related or otherwise. Take care xxx

We are doing o.k., with DH away, atm more better than worse days so that's all I can ask for. Must be off, kids have woken, will try and get back later.

Raels - I am so sorry to hear your news. I hope you are ok - you are an amazing strong woman and I am thinking of you. I think Mel said it all - we are always here if you need to talk/type/vent etc :grouphug:.

I just popped in quickly to check up while dinner is cooking. We are going to try and get a Santa photo done of Tom tomorrow. Not sure how he will go- he has been super clingly this week while he has been sick - and while he is so much better today, the clinginess has not disappeared!

Raels, if only we lived just that little bit closer :doh: Anyway, I can at least send you a big :hug: and repeat what the other girls said - we're always here if you need an ear or two. Hopefully the tough times will be short-lived and you and your handsome little guy will settle into a new routine very quickly. I didn't realise you were still BF - that's awesome! What kind of work will you be looking for?

Thanks Em and Nicky for your nappy info. I'm sure I will think of more questions, but at the moment I'm kinda leaning towards AIO. I think I will use Autie as the guinea pig with just a few to start with, and work towards mostly full-time cloth if we have another bub.

Em, good to hear Tom is on the up. Good luck with your Santa photo. LOL at your little Ricky Ponting - Dan would love to have Autie doing that! In fact, if I tell him what Tom does, I'm sure he'll be out buying her a bat straight away.

Nicky, Autie loves the night garden, especially Upsy Daisy - she likes to copy her dance. And the birds always get a mention too. I have got her a singing Upsy Daisy for Christmas. As for obsessions, she is incredible with her ball obsession - has had it ever since she was able to reach out and grab them at about 3 or 4 months. Any size, shape, texture, colour - and she will spot them in a book/shop/tv show at a mere glance. Maybe that cricket bat is not such a bad idea... As I type she is carrying around two in one hand and one in another.

Well, autie has been sick since Wed with high temps. Had a trip to the hospital Friday when it hit 40.2 but basically it's just a 'virus'. :rolleyes: She's still not great today but hopefully it's on it's way out. Anyway, 'hi' to anyone I missed, must go.

Well Bayleigh is talking SOOOOOOOOOOO much He now says A,B,C,D,and E dats as far as i have got him to go, Said truck clear as the other day, LOVES climbing my dining room table and drinking SOY sauce.. YUCK !!! so hes now saying these words

I thik thats it maybe a few more but cant remember..... SO he's talking lots He loves anything with wheels just like his daddy and his older brother LOL Chris Dad brought Ryan a 4 wheeler for his 3rd birthday last year and chris took Bayleigh for his first ride a couple of weeks ago and he just sat on it and looked at everyone to say year im on a bike and im not fazed i been doing it for years.. LOL but boy did when i took him off...
He now has 5 TEETH LOL still no sign of any others.. tho he has been having some pretty feral number twossssss lately so im hoping he mite cut some more in the next couple of weeks..
He's sleeping lots better thro the night but is now waking at 530 everymorning no matter how late or early he goes to bed.. SO im slightly over that...

Ryan is loving his 2 sleepovers LOL yesterday morning he ran into our room and said "one sleep down another one to goooooooo waahoooooo" LOL it was very cute I said to him are you very excited LOL and he goes "yeah coz i have been asking for 2 sleepovers for a long time and now i can" jumping around the place....But now it has gone from wanting 4 sleepovers to now 9 Sleepovers LOL its very very cute...
Chloe has grown up so much since her birthday 2 weeks ago its really wierd how they go from being one child to being grown up in 2 weeks LOL I cant belive she will be a TEENAGER in 5 years TOO SCARY to think LOL

Well must go the kids are nagging to put the Chrissy tree up so i have to g and find it LOL

OMG Im seriously gunna give my lil man away the next time he climbs something..... LOL Today he decided he would climb the TV Cabinet and walk behind the plasma and fell baack and got stuck between the cabinet and the wall... Of course it took me a while to get him out coz i cant lift our cabinet alone so i had to drag it mm by mm as his knee was stuck under the cabinetand his foot wasunderhis bum.. No idea how he managed to land like that but he did..... He was freaking out and screaming i was freaking out coz i couldnt get him out fast enough and comfort him..... But not a mark on him and Yesterday he pulled an old door down on top of him and ryan... It was an old solid wood door that was heavy as and he just pulled it down it got his shin and head and poor ryan got the whole lot land on his back THANK GOD they are both ok just more scared then anything Bayleigh has a nice black bruise on his Shin ryan ended up with no marks.....

Well we FINALLY got a reply from ryans mum reagrding ryan coming awya with us....

SHE SAID YESSSSSSSSS so we are very very excited she didnt agree with the days we put forward
(saturday7pm to sat 9am) but atleast she has said yes She said we can have him from 11am monday to friday 6pm becoz we have him that weekend she thinks it will be to much on ryan to be away from her for to long.. But we have sent off anothet letter to her saying that we are happy not to have him for our normal weekend friday to sunday and just pick him up sunday at 3pm so he can spend from Xmas day till the sunday with her before he goes away with us so we will see wat she says to that....

How's every one going with their Xmas shopping????/ we still need to get a couple of things for the kids and pick up the laybys den we are done...

I have to order Chris' pressie.. Im gettin him a few laps in a V8 supercar.. Which im sure he will love
I will be very jelous when he does it LOL

How many bubba's are now in BIG beds????
Bayleigh is sleeping better in his big bed (apart from the early morning ) den he ever did in his cot...

better go cooking Lasagna for tea and the meat should be just about ready.. Been simmering since lunch time...

HI all! Just popping in to say we are still alive! I just have a little boy who literally DOES NOT STOP all day so i find it very hard to get on here and concentrate! Some days he only sleeps for 45 min all day (today was one of those days god love him) so having time to myself is very rare!! But he is a very happy, funny thing so i cant complain! He is a talking machine who tries to copy everything we say which is very cute. Hmmm what else? We went into the city on the weekend to see santa at Myer. By the time we got through the line Lucas was exhausted so he looks like a bit of a stunned mullet in his photo, it was a fun day though! We had my brother's wedding last weekend which was ace, and Lucas looked very cute! Pity that his mother was a disgrace by the end of the night....just cant drink like i used to!!

Raels- I was so sad reading your post. I hope you and Oliver are going ok. You are a great mum and he is very lucky to have you!

Sarah - i hear you on the climbing...so over it! Yesterday i was talking to a girlfriend on the phone and i swear i pulled Lucas off the coffee table 50 times, he will never learn! No big bed yet for us...he sleeps all night in the cot so i wont risk it yet!

Sacha - I hope Autie is on the up after her fever!

Pathetic personals i apologise but whenever i go back a page i lose everything!!

Does anyone have any tips for getting Lucas to sleep longer during the day??

Anyone know the best place to get Thomas the tank DVD's..cant find them in target/kmart or big w!! It is the only thing that keeps lucas still for 10 mins.....I NEED THEM!!:D

Hi Megan, I just bought 3 thomas from BIG W, not sure why they don't have them. Maybe they sold out. Jack is sooooooooooo Thomas mad, he is getting Thomas this Thomas that from everyone for Christmas. He even says now, "slow down and take care" it's very cute. We fight here between watching Thomas or Dora, needless to say when the kids are asleep the T.V is off!!!!

Raels - I'm so sorry to hear your sad news, it's such a tough thing to have to go through. Like all the others have said, we're here for you whenever you need us to be. Yay for the BFing though, Liam's still going with this too, which I'm mostly really happy about, although sometimes I'd like a break.

Jas - lovely to hear from you, I'm glad it's going well. Woo hoo for Noah's walking, isn't it so cute, but oh, the things that they can get into once they start.

sarah - I can't believe all the words Bayleigh has got, what a clever little chap. I hear you on the climbing, although from what you've described I've got it really really easy. No big bed for us here yet as he's still happy in his cot. Great news about Ryan being able to come away with you, and how cute is he with the sleepover counting.

Lis - we quite like the Night Garden in this house too, although I tend to tape them to show at times when I want him to quieten down, rather than watching it at 9am. In fact, we're a little bit sad as parents, because we have a ring tone on our mobiles that begins "who's there...Macca Pacca..hoo-ooh, macca pacca..." Makes us laugh, and it makes Liam terribly interested in the phone.

darn..I've got a cranky sad boy, so will have to come back later to finish personals. maybe tomorrow, I think we're in for one of those nights, no idea what his problem is.

Megan - do you have an ABC shop or a Collins bookshop with an ABC section? You can get them from there. We sell them at my work. If you need to - PM me and I can arrange to get you some :)

Thanks Mel and Em on the Thomas info! I would have thought Big W would have had them so they must have been sold out! We have a Collins bookstore not far so i will go there! Jan just gave me a good idea when she said she tapes Night Garden so i might get onto that too. The poor little bugger slept in till 8.30 this morning and Thomas is on at 8.20 so he missed it! All morning he was pointing at the TV going "toot toot". Very cute. Must say i enjoyed my sleep in though!!

My Dad is building a deck at the moment and jeepers i am over the banging. There are 3 guys here and its doing my head in, plus Lucas is in bed, another short sleep today i'd imagine. God i want to scream!!

I got a ITNG DVD from Kmart last week;) They had heaps. ALso they had Thomas and Bob the Builder etc.

Megan, do you have a Myer near you. They have a sale buy 3 get the 4th for $1 or something like that, and they heaps of Thomas in the Catalogue. HTH

This morning I was trying to get Lucas to say "Jim" from Lunar Jim as he keeps calling him Bob, and he said "no" then put his finger up to my lips and went "shhh". Very cheeky but very cute!!
