How is everyone?

Been a bit quiet in here..not that I help much with that!

Hope everyone is going well and all our toddlers are happy!

Jas, you're right, it's been very quiet in here. Funny how we go through these stages. It's very exciting watching the weeks tick away for you, and Nicky. A couple of girls in my MG have just had their 2nd bubs, and it's making me so very clucky, their babies are so tiny, and gorgeous.

I don't have much to say really. DP left for the airport a little while ago, so I'm in sooky la la land atm. It's only for 2 weeks, and I know that lots of people deal with much worse & much more regularly, but it's horrible, so I have much admiration for other people's bravery when their partners are away. The good part is that we both definitely agree that we need a spare to the heir (so to speak), cos just one isn't enough, so once we're through the wedding stuff I'll be putting my cluckiness to good use hopefully. Going to start charting now though, just to get into the swing of things. I think the nicest part though is knowing that both of us know that we're not finished growing our family.

Oh, and Liam's horrible nappy rash is back with a vengeance- again :( We went out yesterday afternoon, he did a poo just as I was leaving, the nappy was on for maybe 45 minutes (silly mum agreed to let him have a play at the playground instead of going straight home), and by the time I took the nappy off he was screaming in pain. So now we're trying the nappy rash cream that the RCH puts out, and he had 2 hours with no nappy this afternoon. It's just awful, it's obviously so painful for him. I'm hoping it's teeth, cos there's a lot of fingers in mouth action, and some ear-grabbing, although I can't see anything obvious on his gums yet.

Anyway, that's my boring stuff. Hope everyone else is well.

I'm only posting cos I don't want my post-count to stay at 666...

Jan, how is Liam's little bottom? did the rash cream work? Can't imagine how painful and frustrating it must be to have such a sore bottom. How exciting to be planning for a little brother or sister! We are still TTC but it's just not happening with Dan's roster atm. Fun trying though..;)

Nicky, how are you feeling these days? Does it feel like it's taking forever?

Jess, haven't heard from you for a while. Hope all is well with you and your three boys.

Em, did you get any minty mail yet? I haven't gotten mine yet and I so need more nappies atm due to a week of foul weather. I've had to resort to the dryer about 3 times this week.

Today I am excited because this morning I got my first 'mum'! Yes, it's only taken 21m, but she has finally figured out I've got a name other than 'AAAHHHH!' It's quite weird actually. I've noticed she quite often wakes up in the morning and suddenly has a new word down pat, when the day before it wasn't around at all. So I've spent the day saying to her 'say mum' at least once an hour. :leap:

So just a short one to push things along a little maybe. ;)

Its been WAY to loong and thought I have to come on and say hi and see how everyone is doing!

This year has been way to busy already and it ain't slowing down!!

Can someone please fill me in on the newborns or Baby No.2 or 3's on their way??

I am mid cycle at the moment, then after next AF we will start trying again. Bit scared as we need to buy a house, when we sold our house we ran out of time so are renting so really want to buy soon before the next baby so we can set up the rooms and get Olivia into a bed.

Olivia is going great guns, spilling out different words left right and centre! She has gone from Dad to Daddy, Nan to Nanna and Mum to.....Mummo yes I am a cow :) Its sounds cute though. She is now starting to put 2 words together like My shoes, Mums shoes etc and Nanna's house its so cute!!

Well I hear Curious George has finished so better change the channel to In the night garden.

Sasha - well done for breaking the drought in here. I've been lurking & lurking, but nothing much to say really, and didn't want to look like a desperado either. And YAY for Autie's "Mum", so cute. Liam's bottom is mostly clear, although I can still see a mark of where the worst parts of the rash has been. Not sure if the different creams have made any difference, or whether it's just the extra nappy-off time. Probably never know, but just happy that it's better.

Lis - yay for being almost ready to TTC #2. It's lovely to see how people's families are starting to grow. Fingers crossed the right house comes up for you soon. I reckon house hunting is one of those things that sounds more fun than it actually is a lot of the time.

Jas - hope you're doing okay out there, and enjoying the last weeks of just being mum & Noah.

Nicky - I know you're doing it tough, I'm hoping the remaining few weeks pass really quickly for you.

2 sleeps till Pat gets home, and 4 months till I'm hitched!! Who'd have thought.

I thought I'd come say hi, thought there were no new posts in here cause i haven't been getting the ujpdates for this thread for some reason? Only 9days until my edd!! Yay can't wait! Can't think at the moment, I have cooked up HEAPS of meals today and frozen them and now I'm listening to this relaxation cd I bought today for labour and it must be good cause is seriously putting me to sleep lol!

Jas, how exciting! I didn't realise the time had crept away! Hope you are able to enjoy things still at this late stage. Fingers crossed you don't have to wait too much longer. do you have someone to post and tell us when bub comes?

Hello all

yes it has been such a long time since I posted in here - i feel so guilty and I miss you all! I know that I will get interrupted in a minute so I will type as quickly as I can in what I am sure will be a lame attempt at saying hi.

All is good here. Very very busy but fun (although somedays I am soooo not saying that I am having fun).

Charlotte is very active and I am loving having a girl. SHe is saying so many words and is stringing them together. She has two older brothers to learn from so I am constantly amazed by her and she has turned into a real climber (no doubt learnt from the boys) and I am having to tell her at least 5 times a day to get off the bench.

I am working 5 days a fortnight - thank goodness as this time is my sanity. I have also been doing heaps of running lately and did a 15km fun run on weekend and am planning on doing a half marathon in the next couple of months. I never thought I would get so into running but it gives me a break from the children and I am really liking the sense of achievement. Once I do my first half marathon I am not sure what my goal will be - the thought of a full marathon is slightly scary but who knows!

Oliver and jesse are going great guns as well - Oliver starts school this year which is super exciting but also sad and scary if you know what I mean. Jesse is going to an early learning centre one morning a week and is loving it and learning so much.

Dh is still away ALL the time which in truth does my head in but thats life for now so I just have to get on with it LOL!

Sounds like you are leading a very busy life! I don't know how you fit it all in! We are TTC so I may need to come to you for advice about coping when DH is away all the time. LOL Makes me feel like a big lazy slob to hear you are working AND being a mum AND staying fit to top it all off - just the inspiration I need.:lol:

Jem - nice to hear from you but I hear ya on the busy side of things! But I am not that busy as you - wonder Mum :) Its so cute all the words they string together hey? Olivia's favourtie is DOOR CLOSE and MUMS SHOE, DADS SHOE, MY SHOE, MY CAR etc. And she just started to point at the seat next to her or the floor and says MUMMY SIT!!! Love it!!!

We had a funeral the other day and it was all quiet and they were drawing back the curtains from around the coffin and Olivia yells DOOR CLOSE - I was SOOOO embarassed!!

Hi to everyone else, have to be quick DH wants pc and I have to have a nice hot shower to clear my stuffed head! My lovely little Olivia gave me her cold :(

We started Gymbaroo today, Olivia loved it but wanted to play on the equipment all the time and cried and cracked the poos when we had to sit on the mat for 'other' play time...i had to take her out twice to give her a stern word ;) She should get used to the routine in a few weeks.

Well must go.
