Bec- when we fed Kaetlyn the bottle of EBM she was falling alseep and not even drinking 50mls, so we got a bigger sized teat (now a number 3) and she guzzles the milk. obviously my bb's have a big let down and she wants that from her bottle as well.

ooo immunisations!!! Bugger!
I dont wanna take him... he will hate it!!!
lol
ah well... better find someone to come with me.
Hope u are all going well. I have recruited my SIL's to be Lachs human beds so I can get some packing done.
:)
Hi
Sara, maybe I'll try the next size up. I don't think the flow is a problem for him although I will have to buy some soon anyway, he likes to stop and start. Doesn't often fall asleep with a bottle, usually only with a boobie.
Nicki, my mil is on school holidays and is insisting on driving us.
Morning everyone!!
AHHH silly shots!! I still need to take Avaleigh in to get her first ones. I was going to do it last week but she was so unsettled so I let them for this week so I better go in and get them done. I am planning to go in on Friday.
Breastfeeding as been a lot better the past few days. I am not expressing my milk anymore and its make a difference - my boobs feel feel at each feed so maybe the expressing was screwing with my supply??? AF is also gone so maybe that made it different some how too?? Not sure!! But I am happy I didnt give it up. I just love it when Avaleigh smiles at me when she is feeding.
Has anyone gone up in the nappy size yet to, is it, infant?? I am planning to buy the next ones when I finish the last of my newborns. I've found Avaleigh is leaking too much the last few days and is getting red marks around her legs.
We went to Jason's mum's house yesterday for his nephew's 3rd birthday, it was fun except for my cold :( It was amazing to see how small Jason's little sister's baby was compared to Avaleigh. They are a month apart but he looks as small as what Avaleigh did when she was just born!! He did lose a heap of weight in his first 3 weeks because his mum wasnt producing enough milk so is now on formula and is gaining weight. We forgot to take our camera yesterday  wish I could show you the size difference!! Avaleigh was such a good girl yesterday too, she hadnt slept since 11am (we got there at 2pm) and I was worried she would be really unsettled, but nope, she was perfect!!
Veronica, glad to hear that Avaleigh has improved. Want to hear something funny, Jack has just grown out the of infant size nappies and is now is crawler, mad hey!! His is just getting so big, Dh is worried it is not normal, but he isn't that big, still on the chart in percentiles.
V - that's great the the b/f is working better now. Isn't it amazing the size differences in babies at this age - a week or two can make such a difference, and I reckon you forget just how small ours were until you see a younger bub. And yep - if you're using Huggies, the next size is the Infant size - it's for 4-8kg bubs.
Nicky (and anyone else who's yet to take their bub) - Obviously everyone is different, and I'm definitely not saying that some babies don't have really bad reactions, but sometimes our imaginations are worse than the actual event with regard to the pain that injections will cause. I found that the worst part of the immunisation wasn't so much the injections, because they're over & done with pretty quickly, but the sookiness/slight temp that kicked in after a few hours. I have two words for you - Baby Panadol. Oh, and lots of cuddles, although I think that Lach has those pretty well worked out :)
Nothing much to report here, just waiting for him to finish his sleep, then we'll be off to Mothers group.
Hi girls and bubbas
So much to catch up on!! We are back from Sydney and had a great but VERY busy weekend. Charlotte was such a good girl - she was dragged from one place to the next and wasnt bothered at all. She slept through the entire wedding reception which was great! We are all pretty worn out at the moment so today is a very lazy day!!
V - Glad to hear the breastfeeding it going better. I also found that when I was expressing with Jesse it definitely wreaked havoc with my supply.
Mel - sounds like you had a good weekend and yay on getting the horse saddle. How often do you ride? Wow at Jack going up a size in nappies!!
Jan - how are you enjoying your mothers group?
Sara - sounds like Kaetlyns baptism was a huge success. I am about to go and have a look at the photos of her dress!
Rebecca- sounds like Xavier is the best little sleeper ever! How lucky are you!!
Zofia - how is Diana? Did you end up taking her to the Dr and I I hope she is feeling better
Fran - we had Charlottes feet cast a few weeks ago (we had both boys done as well) and we are about to get some professionals photos done so the feet cast and the photos will both go into a frame when they are all done. They are such a nice momento to have.
Hi to everyone else I hope you are all well.
Not much else is new here. I am having a relaxing day as Oliver and jesse are in child care. Is is so quiet which is just divine!!
I am going to go and have a bit of a rest (YAY) so I will BBL to say hi again!
Take care
Jem
XXX
Hi all,
Veronica we switched to infant sized nappies about 2 weeks ago and they are starting to get a bit tight for Xav so I have him in crawlers now. they look big, but nothing leaks out and I find huggies are a bit tighter than the other brands. We tried Woolworth's select brand ones, we have now taken to calling them crappies. But in Aldi brand he is still an infant.
Jemima, glad to hear you had such a good trip.
Well we had our vaccinations done this morning. MIL came with me. But I didn't cry I was a strong mum. Xavier did not like the needles but he stopped crying as soon as I whipped out a boob. Oh the stuff that goes in their mouth is a new one, it's for the rotovirus (sp) Xavier happily swallowed it all. Apparently some babies spit some out etc, but Xavier was sooo hungry when he had his that he was only too willing for something in his mouth.
It has been about 4 hours since he had them and so far no temp. Just checked him. nasty bump on his leg from the needles so I've given him a dose of panadol in case he's in any pain.
I think our huge sleeps are over. We'll see over the next week anyway. Last night he woke at 3.30 for a feed (i shouldn't complain still 7.5 hours strait. I think he was sleeping for a long time to help his tummy. he had green poo for about 5 days (naughty mummy's diet) I had to go cold turkey off milk and all forms of caffeine to get rid of it. We are back to mustard colour. I think the long sleeps was his body's way of trying to fix the problem.
Well Got a little person talking to the telly or something, I should probably go chat seeing as we don't want to sleep this arvo.
Well wasnt as bad as I thought!!
I didnt cry either!! hehe
Lach cried a little. But once we got home afterwards, he was happy and smiling. He had a fantastic feed at about 1pm, where he fell asleep... very unusual!
Had my mothers group from 130 till 330.. and lach slept up until 315 when he started crying in agony.
I wacked him in his sling, and he wasnt too bad after that... Had a snooze with him till 630, and then he had another really good feed... he was vrey fussy though and a little aggressive.
His head was a bit hot, but he didnt register a temp. He sounded in pain, so I gave him some baby panadol, which I think worled a treat. Hes a little unsetteled now, but hopefully he will sleep well.
He also got the red lump only on teh leg that had the 2 injections though.
Well, theres something else over with! lol
Lachs growth has slowed down.. I think... ALthough he seems to be getting longer and longer.. at this rate, the 00 body suts ill be grown out of at 4 months at the latest.. eek!!
lol
Hes still very fussy, and sleep is not his strength, but when he starts giggling at me... oh I get teary! He has also started to just smile on his own, rather than if someone is smiling at him adn him copying. He was looking around the room this morning, smiling.
I still have 10 days till I get my portraits back and I can't wait! The pics are absolutely gorgeous! hehe.. they would want to be for the amount I spent!!
Rebecca - I think I saw you today.... Green top?? hehe I sound like a stalker!
lol
well hi to everyone. I have been very lazy, and still havent really read the last few posts.
Hope you and your bubbas are all going really really well!!
hugs
Well I think Avaleigh has gotten my cold :( She was a little snuffley this morning after our morning walk so we went out and got some baby panadol and some dinatapp that is meant to be good for nasal congestion. It cleared away but then she woke up balling her eyes out at about 8pm and she couldnt breath through her nose :( She gave the biggest sneeze and all snot came out - nice huh! LOL So I gave her some dinatapp and cuddled her for a little while and now she is in her bed. I've put her monitor in her bed so I can here if her snuffling gets too bad. I am prepared to be up all night but I hope not!!
So I guess Avaleigh injections will be put on hold for another week.
Oh and I've decided to stop the mini pill tomorrow and see if Avaleigh gets better at feeding. She's been throwing up a lot of milk since starting it so I am guessing the taste has changed. I was saying to Jason that when we DTD we will just use condoms.
Anyway, might try and get some sleep. I hope Avaleigh wakes up better in the morning.
Jem, glad to hear your weekend was a great one. I know what you mean though, you sort of need a break after a break to recover. Last weekend was the first time I had been riding for about 3 years, 7 years. But with both sides of my parents families from the country I used to ride all the time when I was little. But after getting on my sisters horse, I remembered how much I loved to ride. So I'm going to make the effort to start again, won't go as far as getting my own horse, I'll just use one of my Aunties that she has given to my sister to take care off. OMG did you watch Aust. Idol on Monday, how bull5hit what it!!! I can't belive that Mark got voted out. I would have put money on it he would win this year. I'm no happy Jan!!!!
Veronica, good luck with going off the mini pill, I hope it improves feeding times, I'm sure it will. I'm so curious to see how she goes. Sorry to hear about her little cold, it's heart breaking when you hear them trying to breath, not to mentioned scarey. One thing I found to be a big help, was the fess nasal aspirator, gets out all the mucus, she won't like it, but she will be able to breath so much easier afterwards, I'll swear by it. Hope you both feel better soon.
Nicky, poor little guy, I hope he is feeling better soon. Hope you really like the photos, we are going this morning to get some pixie ones done. I will get a professional lot done when he is 8 months like I did with Charlize. Lol at the stalking!!
Rebecca, Xavier and Jack sound so similiar, apart from the long sleeps. Although I shouldn't complain, he still is going around hours. I have been off dairy for awhile now, but I find when I just have the littlest amount, like a piece of left over cheese from Charlize, I find he gets alot of tummy pains and the green poos to match. I must stop picking, as I feel so guilty when he starts to moan and grown. Do you find the infant aldi nappies hard to find? I can't get them anywhere, so I bought a packet of the medium and they are still too big. I'll have to find huggies on special somewhere as I'm nearly out, maybe I'll try aldi again today while I'm out.
Jan, how is mothers group going, I'm still to find a local one to attend. I do know of one not far away, I must pull my finger out and sus it out, might just wait until after we move.
GOOD NEW EVERYONE, THE CONTRACT ON OUR HOUSE WENT UNCONDITIONAL YESTERDAY. So we are definately moving the weekend of the 26th of this month, can't wait to get in there, just not looking forward to the move. We went up to the new house last night (as it's only 100m up the road), and looked over it again and got some measurements etc. I'm so excited to get in there. There is alot of work to be done though. The yards are in a terrible state, so I think I will attack them once DH goes away to Japan for a month before Christmas, that way I can spend as much as I want, and he won't be here to stop me, he he he.
Anyway must be off and get the kids dressed for their photos later today.
Take care all
Hi everyone
Diana rolled over today for the first time. Twice. She was on the changing mat on the floor on her back, then I looked over and she was on her side and when I next looked over she was on her tummy! I put her back on her back and she rolled over again.
BBL with personals, etc. :)
Hi all,
Nicki, I'm sure I saw you. You had a helper and lach didn't want his pants back on?? I actually ran into someone I went to school with there who had a baby girl 2 days after Xavier was born. Small world huh. I had my mil helping.
You should have said hello, I don't bite
Veronica, you can get what is called a nasal aspirator from the chemist, and it basically sucks the snot out of their nose. Might help clear breath a little. and you can get a hanky or washer, put a little vicks on it, put it on her bed and put say a cotton wrap or something over it to help breathing while she sleeps (just have to make sure the vicks doesn't make contact with skin 'cause it burns) and one other thing i have been told is to just slightly angle her bed. Pretty easy in a cot, not sure about a bassinet though.
Mel, I noticed at our aldi the infant and the newborn are very hard to tell apart. the infant has a slightly older baby pictured on it, but very similar packaging and colour.
Yay on the unconditional contract. Lol at waiting for dh to leave so you ca go crazy spending money. I have to say I'm jealous. having a 3rd person (even a mini one) living in the house has made me realise how many thing I need that i'm missing out on. only about a year before I might be able to afford to start building our house.
Zofia  yay  for dianna, what a clever little girl rolling over for you.
Well Xavier seemed to survive having his immunisations. Had the most fantastic sleep last night of 10 hours, and he is sleeping most of the day away now. Don't think we had much of a temp, got a little red in the cheeks last night but that's about it. He does cry out every now and then but he is pretty much drifting in and out of sleep. Haven't had to wake him yet, he's still waking up for feeds, and getting smiles when he does. Only had one lot of panadol yesterday because he spat the second lot out all over Nathan's shoulder, and because i didn't know how much he had ingested and how much came back up I couldn't give him any more until 10pm and well he was asleep by then.
Can I ask with all the talk about panadol, have you guys talked to your partners / or already have a plan for administering medication. I would hate for him to od on baby panadol. I'm wondering if i should have something written down to indicate when he last had some?? what do you all do?
gotta go, got grizzles coming from bedroom.
Hey All!
We had a good night last night, better than I thought. I didnt hear from Avaleigh all night. I woke up at 5.30am when Jason got up for work to see how Avaleigh was, she was still asleep. I then woke up at 6.30am and Avaleigh was still asleep so I decided to put a load of washing in. She finally woke up at 7am and I gave her a feed, not a very big feed tho and she threw some up :( She then fell asleep at 9am and is still sleeping at midday!! I am just having my lunch and then going to wake her for a feed.
Actually, she has just woken up. Gotta go!!
OMG!! Lach slept for 8 hours last night!!!!!
WOOHOO!!!!!
hes starting to sleep better....
I think it was the immunisations... lol. Will have to drug him up more often.
He only had the one dose of panadol last night, and hes been back to his normal self ever since. All happy and smiliing and giggling.
Rebecca, yeah I had my sis with me. lol
And yes, lach was pantsless... hehe.. Next time you see me just belt me over the head
lol
Well Ive gotta go and do groceries.. yes at 930pm!! Lach is going to bed with adam...
wooho!
lol
Catch ya all soon
Hugs
Hi ladies
personals....
Nicky- YAY for lachlans 8hr sleep!! Its great when it finally happens.
Veronica- Glad you had a good night lastnight :) Hows avaleigh doing now with her feeds? Has she settled some more? Well done for perservering with th b/f.
Bec- Glad that xavier survived his immunisations. regarding administering medication, I keep a chart for any medication ethan has for a few reasons, 1) So that i remember when he had the last dose 2) So DH or anyone who may be looking after him doesn't accidently give him an extra dose 3) If i need to take ethan to the Dr or hospital i can take it so they know what meds he is on and had and 4) Just in case he has an allergic reaction to any meds we can see which one is likely to be the cause (history of medication allergys on my side of the family)
I also have a space to write his temp readings down on the same chart so that it is kept track of if needed. Maybe its a bit OTT, but i like to know what he's being given etc.
Zofia- Yay and well done to diana  what a clever little girl. After the initial shock that ethan had already started rolling, i now get excited every time he does it :D
Mel- WOO HOO!! Great news on the contract for the house going through. I bet your relieved. Good luck with the move when it happens.
Well i have finally gotten over our visitors, it was a very long two days all i can say is im glad they went home!
I think my little man has finally decided he wants to sleep!! YAY for me, lol. OK, here's our little sleep pattern since last wednesday:
Wed night= waking every 2 to 3hrs, awake 45min between. normal night for him.
Thurs night= 6hrs 40min! awake 1hr back to bed for 4hrs!
Fri night= 6hrs 50mins! awake 1.5hrs back to bed for 4.5hrs! I was so proud :D
Sat night= woke every 2hrs on the dot!! 1hr between! Oh no not again lol
Sun night= 7hrs!! awake 40mins back to bed for 2.5hrs! So unusual but was happy
Mon night= OMG 8HRS!! Lol i never thought it would happen! awake 1hr back to bed for 3!! I was so so proud of my little prince.
Last night= Up and down every 2hrs again 1-1.5hrs between.
This is when it dawned on me that i was seeing a pattern: Bad night, 2 great ones, bad night, two great ones......So tonight should be a great one again?? I hope thats how ethan's worked it lol! Since Monday I have started keeping him awake from 7pm to 9pm (my tv time between those hrs!) Then in bed by 9.30pm for his (fingers x'd) Big sleep!! I can go too bed too then and im not missing anything on TV!! Im hoping a routine is forming :)
Today I was sitting outside on a blanket with ethan and i was reading a book and he was laying on his tummy, head up looking around talking happily then he started crying...he had rolled on his back and wasnt happy lol so i rolled him back over and he did it again about 10 times so i ran to get the video camera and do you think the cheeky bugger would do it infront of the camera...Nope he decided to get hungry and grumpy and demand a bottle!! But my mum and sister came over this afternoon and he did it for them. My baby is growing up so fast  lol.
He hasnt rolled for me to see since he was 6wks, although i put him to bed on his tummy and when he wakes for a feed i go in to find him on his back, DH said "are you sure you put him on his tummy?" and i know i did b/c he wont go to sleep on his back!! So when he did it for me to see i got excited and emotional all over again!!
Well ladies ethan has been asleep for 2hrs now and i had a long soak in the bath and tidied up a bit and done this post and only just realised how quickly the time had gone!! Oops  so now i must go and crawl in to bed and hope ethan sleep longer that 2.5 - 3hrs.
Hugs to all mums and bubs.
Hi beautiful people!
Mel ~ That’s great about the house going unconditional!! Not too long now! We decided it’s finally time for us to get out of the rental market. Our rent is being put up, our real estate have been a royal PIA, but most importantly we want a solid base for our new fam. We are looking at a little seaside village about 30km south of here to buy and we have just starting organising where to get the $$$.
Star ~ Wow for little Diana rolling! I don’t think Lucas is too far off so I’ve been keeping an extra close eye on him.
Tears ~ Same to you for Ethan the cleaver little boy! How did he sleep last night?
Jan ~ Lol for Lach and his cuddles from mum!
Becca ~ Lucas was immunised last week. I wasn’t thinking too much into it as Lucas was practically buried under needles and tubes when he was born, but I’m not looking forward to next time. I bought some baby panadol just in case but I’m glad I didn’t have to use it. I usually decide these things. If I’m not sure we will make a decision together. Writing it down would be good idea; with everything else we have to think about, maybe somewhere in his blue book like the progress pages where it has age, date and reason/action?
Ngala ~ How is Avaleigh today. I wonder what it is in the pill that makes the milk change? Or maybe it’s from the change of chemicals in your body? I finally got my script filled after AF returned last week. The script was for the mini pill Microlut (?). After reading the leaflet I’ve decided to throw them in the bin. The side effects and risks sounded way too extreme and I hate the thought of messing with Mother Nature right now, as I want more children. I hope Avaleigh is feeling better today.
Squishee ~ Yay for the 8 hours! Lucas has never slept that long. Hope things are getting easier for you, there is so much to learn with a new baby and it doesn’t help that just because they are predictable today doesn’t mean they will be tomorrow!
Jemima ~ Glad you had a fun time in Sydney and at the wedding, sounds like you are enjoying the serenity too!
Hello and lots of love to everyone else.:heartbeat:
We have been well. My best friend will be here this weekend which I’m looking to. GIRLS NIGHT OUT Friday, woohoo, but goodness knows what to wear as nothing fits right, and I’m not sure how I’ll go in heels after being in flats for nearly a year!
Hey is anyone taking their bubs to their local baby clinic? I tried to get Lucas in for a weigh and check last week, wanting to go regularly, but I can’t get in until November!!! I missed the September mothers group so not starting that until November either. I couldn’t even get their direct number. I find it weird it works like that here? What's it like where you are? I should have called before he was born!
Is anyone working or thinking of going back to work any time soon? I wasn’t but there is a job going here ATM facilitating a weekly koori mothers group which would be awesome fun!! It would be perfect for me right now.
Also is anyone thinking of pre-school and schools yet? Enrolments are usually booked years in advance just to get your child a place these days so its something else I need to look into...
Love to all, have a great day.
August x
August - I was taking the microlut mini pill. Not too sure what it does to your milk but I would say the chemicals could change the taste?? I'd rather use condoms then go through what I have the past few weeks! We're not thinking about school stuff yet, its so far away but it probably will come so quickly. We arent too sure where we are going to be when Avaleigh is ready for school, we hate all the schoools in the area so we are hoping to build in a new area where the schools will be new.
Jessikah - YAY for the big long sleep hey! Its great isnt it?? I try to get Avaleigh up for a feed at 10pm cause then I know she will sleep til 5 or 6am but if she isnt interested at 10pm I know I will be up at 3am for a feed :(
Avaleigh is a little bit better today I think. Still a bit snotty but she still managed to give me heaps of smiles. She is still bringing up her milk lots but is not screaming so it cant be reflux, I think it might still be from my milk tasting funny and from her being sick. We had an interesting change this morning - I changed a dirty nappy after a feed, she then done another dirty nappy so I changed that and then she threw up all over herself and did ANOTHER dirty nappy, so changed that and while she was bare bottom she done another poop!! Great start to the day!!
Well we are off to do the food shoppin today and then a walk and then hopefully a lay out in the sun to work on my tan ;) I must pick up some baby sun cream today cause I get burnt so easily and would hate Avaleigh to get burnt too.
Better get a move on!
Hi there,
Lach has had some pretty bad diarrhea ( sp!) since the immunisations on tuesday. It was to be expected.... but there has been HEAPS! poor little guy.
He is pretty normal other than that, having another pretty good sleep last night, so heres hoping things calm down.
Veronica - Avaleighs fussy fedding sounds similar to how lach has been feeding for the last 6 weeks! And I kow its not the pill, Cos I havent started taking it yet.
Not sure what lachs deal is. I hope you have better luck and it gets better for you both.
AMM - I havet even given a thought to schooling or anything yet! lol
We are not sure where we will be in 5 years. So I guess theres not much point enrolling yet. Hehe.
Sorry to hear you are having trouble with ur clinic. I have been attending mothers group for 4 weeks now. They called me and organised everything. Ive also had several appointments, and have their direct number as well as a number to call to make appointments, they are pretty flexible and I can basically see them whenever I want.
well trust Lach to wake up 15 mins after he falls asleep without me!
lol
Better attned to the little guy and finish personals later:)
Hi all,
Veronica, what a big sleep, You must have felt very refreshed, it makes a difference huh? I found waking xavier for a feed in the evening buggered him up and then he wouldn't sleep very well, so I just left him to form his own pattern and he's gradually increasing his sleeps. Bed time is now about 8pm this morning he woke at about 5am, yesterday it was 6am.
Nicki, lol glad you got some good sleep. Maybe he'll get used to the idea. I was commended by the nurses for taking my child in short pants, looks like i haven't gone completely dippy since having a bub. I have to say I'm pretty shocking at taking the first step to introduce my self, I'd feel like a weirdo if I said to someone are you nicki and they said no
Sorry to hear about the diarrhea. When lach wakes up after 10 mins, do you try putting him back to sleep without picking him up? like with patting and shhshing etc? that was worknig for you a few weeks ago?
Jesikah, I hope your ethan is working up to full time long sleeps for you. it sounds like he's getting better. Are there any things you do differently on the "bad" nights. maybe it has to do with routine. Good idea on the chart. I was considering getting a cheap little white board and putting it on his bedroom cupboard.
amm, in the book is a good idea, and don't get me wrong I love my little boy to pieces and don't want anything to happen to him but I'm very lazy, I'm likely to forget. as I said to jessikah, I might have to look into buying a cheap white board that I can stick on his wardrobe, then it will stick out at me.
Child health centers, we are pretty lucky here that once you leave hosi you get a couple of visits from the domiciliary midwife and when they are happy everything is going well they discharge you into the care of a mchn who visits you at home and then it all just continues on from there.
But I'm not sure what happens if you birth at home??
Being a country city, we don't have to book in for kinder etc, but I have had our name down for childcare since before he was born.
Well this was rather long of me, i've been hearing little squeeks and coo's coming from xaviers room. I think he might be just laying there awake.
Bye
Good Morning Ladies :)
Well I was right  Ethan had another goodnight!! He slept from 9.20pm until 3.50am, 6.5hrs then was back in bed asleep at 4.30am and slept till 8.30am, another 4hrs. Going by this tonight should be my second great one!! lol. We will see what happens.
Nicky- Poor Lach having Diarreah :( Hope it goes away soon.
Veronica- Glad avaleigh is a bit better today, a nice walk will do you both the world of good. We had interesting change time here this morning too!
Ethan woke up at 8.30 and i knew he had pooped b/c i could smell it when i went in his room to get him up lol when i went to change him it was everywhere!! So i took him straight for a bath, and while he was happily splashing around he started to poo in there to  so gross lol but atleast that was it....for poo anyway. He pee'd all over himself while i was drying him off!!
AMM- Oooh a girls night out!! Sounds like fun :) I can just call and make an appt to go to the health clinic with ethan, but they are only open 2 days a week, i would love to get ethans weight checked but he has his 12wk check up in 2 weeks so i will wait. Here there is no need to enrol early for schooling as its only small and there is two public and one private school to choose from plus a high school (thats a long way off!!), me and DH have agreed on sending him to one of the public school which i went to. DH was born and lived in Perth until he was 23/24.
Bec- I too forget these things lol so i have made them more noticeable!! I have a 2 copies of the chart one is stuck on the back of his bedroom door with a pen on a string hanging next to it (otherwise i would forget to grab a pen and it would be like "Ah well i will do it later" b/c then i would forget!) And the other is on the Fridge where DH can see it. On ethans bad nights i haven't really noticed anything different, but i will make sure tomorrow night i do the same sort of thing before he goes to bed. Atm he has a bottle at 7pm, we have a bath at 7.30ish which i put his night time oil in to help relax him he stays in for about half an hour then i take him out and we just cuddle and have a little quiet play at 9pm i offer him a feed and talk softly/sing to him while he is feeding, then i tuck him into bed patting his back and softly tell him its time to go to sleep, mummy loves him and that i will see him when he wakes up, and i walk out just before he is asleep. If he cries after i leave i count to 60 to see if he will self settle or if i need to go back in. I usually dont have to go back in. Have only been doing this for a few days though, but it seems to be working.
I put ethan in his swing next to me while i was on here and he has "passed out" lol. I brought it for him 4wks ago as i tried him in a friends one when he was unsettled and he settled and went to sleep, but i have only just got him to go in his, its great he just nods off to sleep and i can do whatever i need to.
Well i dont have any plans for today as yet, but will probably do some washing and maybe go off for a little walk.
Hope you all have a nice day.
Hi everyone!!!
Kaetlyn was really unsettled here yesterday, I worked out why- she had a tummy ache- thismorning she did a really big poop and was fine all day- and by big I mean leaking out the nappy at the legs, and top at the front and back- if there was an opening, it was coming out of there! All over her feeding pillow and outfit!
I rang aaron up and told him what had happened- cause she was really unsettled the night before and he is starting to think that she doesnt like him. when he gets home from work she is tired and upset.
She also woke up twice throughout the night crying- which she hasnt done since--EVER (well besides the hospital). I fed her thinking she was hungry. fingers crossed she is okay tonight.
Cant remermber who mentioned it but havent thought about school yet!! We are still deciding when I will go back to work. I have till Jan paid then unpaid until july (I HAVE to be beack at work for her first birthday). The plan was for me to go back at Jan to keep the income coming in, but aaron has a big exam/interview at work tomorrow and if he passes he will prob be sent to city for 6mth secondment, whcich will make me returning to work impossible (we both work shiftwork so could work our shifts arond Kaetlyn and each other and MIL).
Rebecca- you mentioned green poo the other day? my gran reckons it means they have wind. She also says thatwhen bubs have blue around their lips it means they have wind. Is this true also? I read somewhere that its not true (an old wise tale). You mentioned that the stuff that went in the mouth was 'rotavirus'. Is it new on the schedule or is my doc doing it buy the old schedule? Its not on the schedule that is in the blue books (not sure what color your baby health books are).
V- yeah on the BF issues resolving themselves.
Mel- congrates on the move- Finally!!! you must be excited!
Also cant remeber who mentioned the baby panadol- but i noticed with Kaetlyn she did a mega hude sleep that night as well- not sure if it was the immunisations or the panadol.
Does any one elses mums have a brag book? My MIL and my Grandma have asked me to make one up for them. What kind of photos do you put in there? not sure why my MIL cant make one up for herself- she has taken heaps of photos!
Well am off to finish the ironing so Aaron has something to wear to his interview tomorrow! (dont laugh about the ironing rebecca! I only ever seem to iron when I am chatting to you)!!!
HI all,
Jesikah, lol at ethan, he must have been making room for more. Funny how they do it all at once huh?
It will be interesting to see if you have worked out his "magic" formula for sleeping. let us know how you go.
Sara, yep we have the blue books, the nurses at the council immunisations added the rotavirus in to the books because it is new. the bubs are supposed to have it 3 times. maybe talk to your MCHN about it and find out if you can go to one of the clinics and get it. I have also been told the thing about blue lips mean wind, not sure if it's true. The green poo I have heard several different things. one is that the bubs can't digest food properly possibly from an intolerance (so I cut milk out) so it comes out green because it's not fully digested (I guess that could also creat a pain in the tummy) but I have also been told recently it can just be a sign that bubs is getting lots of iron, which kind of also makes sense. Whatever it is Xavier seems to have no probs with it, and I have kind of found that a little infants friend might be helping to, possibly because the anise in it is a digestive.
How can I not laugh about the ironing, I shall remind you again, I don't iron. Poor Xavier looks so untidy sometimes when he has jeans or his cardigan on, they are so wrinkly.
Wow, it's been a while since I've posted! And it'll have to be a quick one as I am one handed!
I took Alessia to have her hands and feet cast at Twinkle Toes yesterday. Then we were off to the MCHN where we found out that she put on 360g and grew 2.5cm longer! So now my little girl is 5.02kg and 59cm! I've done away with the 000 Bonds suits so now she's in 00 comfortably :) Then she had her immunisations and was such a trooper!
Ugh arm is killing me! Will BBL...take care!
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick catch up post...not much to say but I just want to keep in the loop!
Glad to hear everyone's bubs are going well my babiesonline site has been cancelled because I didn't use it for too long. Does anyone have suggestions on what sites are good because I would love to show you some pics of my beautiful boy!
Hi Jas!! My link is to my photoalbum on Facebook cos I can't be bothered keeping an online diary or anything like that!
Jas, I use totsites. I find them really easy to use and quick.

Hi everyone
August Moon Mum - I am working part time. I went back to work when Diana was three weeks old. Stan and I both work part time (different hours), so we take turns looking after Diana. It mostly works okay (except apparently this morning she was completely unsettled for him - I told him its because he doesn't have breasts :p).
Re schooling - I have made an enquiry at the local Montessori pre-school/primary school, but they are on holidays so haven't gotten back to me yet. I have decided that I would prefer not to send Diana to a mainstream school, so am going to look at alternative schooling or maybe homeschooling or something.
Fran - congratulations on Alessia's weight gain and growth! She is almost as big as Diana :) Diana is still mostly in 000s.
Jas - if you look on my ticker, there is a link to Diana's babysite. I think that from there, there should be a link on how to set up your own site if you want to.
Well, today hasn't been too eventful. Diana was apparently very sooky this morning when I was at work, but has been a complete angel since I got home. Poor girl must have missed her mummy (or mummy's breasts anyway...).
Stan and I have also finally set a date for our wedding (6th of November). It will just be a very small registry office affair. As its my second time , I don't feel the need to go all out, but I am still quite excited.
Hi to everyone else. Hope you and your babies have a great weekend.
Hi ladies
Hmmm i should be in bed lol!!
Well so far so good..This "magic formula" seems to be continuing :D Lastnight was the 2nd Great night and it definately was Great...We were out for tea so i ended up letting ethan "do his own thing" till we got home and then we watched a movie and i kept him awake from 9.30pm to 11pm (late i know:redface:) then fed him and he was asleep by 11.20pm and he didnt wake up until 6.50am Woo Hoo!! 7.5hrs. Great night but seemed to go down hill from there, i put ethan back to bed at 8.15am and he slept for an hour but i think the little bugger woke up on "the wrong side of the bed"!! Lol, he has been unbelievably grumpy all day!! I managed to get absolutely nothing done and nearly pulled all my hair out by the time i finished grocery shopping:wall: I wouldn't have gone except for the little fact that i would have been awfully hungry by tomorrow, i have not done a proper shop for awhile:redface: so mum came with me and the poor thing had to take ethan and sit in the car with him as he was screaming the shop down lol. According to Ethans sleep pattern its supposed to be his "bad night" tonight but i made sure everything i would normally do was done and i asked him when i put him to bed to please have a big sleep again and wake up his happy little self again :D Put Ethan to bed 2hrs ago and haven't heard a sound since so fingers crossed tightly. I must go to bed myself soon, but am taking the time while i have peace and quiet to have some "me" time. (wrong time of the day!!)
Bec- Lol you sound like me, I dont iron either! Ethan has wrinkly clothes too, i think my family would have a huge shock if they seen me pick up the iron. The last time i ironed was Dh's Shirt and Pants for our wedding...will be 3yrs April 08!! Im bad lol.
Fran- Alessia is growing wonderfully, well done:) Glad all went well with her immunisations. Ethan is almost ready for 00 bonds suits length wise, as 000 are a little tight on his toes.
Jas- Hi hun, how are you doing? I use totsites, i find it real easy to use. It does have an online journal thing but i dont use it, just dont have time for it.
Zofia- Yay on setting your wedding date, thats great and of course you would still be excited, congratulations.
Lol it makes you feel very loved and special doesn't it.:
Diana was apparently very sooky this morning when I was at work, but has been a complete angel since I got home. Poor girl must have missed her mummy (or mummy's breasts anyway...).
Okay ladies well i must go, my eye's are feeling heavy;)
Hope you all have lovely weekends.
morning everyone!
I hope all is well. Avaleigh is still really snotty and gets very frustrated at times but she has been very good about it! At the moment, she is asleep. We're going to go out for a walk soon - I am really determined to kick my weight in the butt and so far so good!
Good Morning:)
Enjoy your walk Veronica, its a lovely day for it. I may just go for a walk today too! Hope Avaleigh starts to get better real soon.
Well Ethan didn't have a "bad" night last night, so i must have done something right, lol. He actually had a Fantastic night, he was asleep at 9.20pm and he slept all the way through till 7.25am!! 10 HOURS:clap: Sorry if i seem overly excited about this but i never thought it was going to happen. A few solid hours sleep and im starting to feel human again!!
Well im going to try putting ethan down in his cot, as he is asleep again, but during the day he only likes to sleep in my arms.
Have a nice day ladies :)

Hi all,
Fran Allesia is going to be bigger than Xavier soon. I have a short a$$
Jas he is absoultley gorgeous. I have to be a little jealous I don't have any fantastic shots of Xavier yet.
Zofia, yay for setting a date.
Jesikah, thats a fantastic sleep, maybe he's getting a liking for sleeping at night.
Hello to everyone else.
Well we had another first today. Xavier went to his first and hopefully last hens night. Well he went for the first 2 hours and then Daddy came and collected him and took him home. I expressed more than 260 ml over the last couple of days so nathan could feed him, thinking he won't even drink all that. Well I was wrong. The little bugger drank alost every last drop. Just enough. We think he kept asking for more wanting his boobie nightcap
Ok wishing good sleeps to all, I'm putting my order in for a sleep in.
Fat chance!!!
Hi all
we have been MIA as we have been at the shack for a few days rest and relaxation. It was really nice to get away and it was Charlottes first trip to the shack. She has been a bit unsettled the last day or two as she just needs to do a poop as it has been 8 days since her last one. This isnt uncommon for her but she definitely needs to do one. I am sure it is going to be a shocker LOL.
I will pop back in later and do some personals.
Jas - I had a look at your photos and Noah is gorgeous as are you!
Hi to everyone else and as I said I will BBL to say a proper hi
Take care
Jem
Morning!!
One of our dogs decided to take himself for a walk last night  I got up at 3.30am to feed Avaleigh (I got NFI WHY she woke up then cause she fed for 40mins at 10pm!!) and I noticed that he was not inside, so I go outside and the back gate is wide open (one of our mates forgot to close it last night) So I tell Jason and he goes for a lil drive at 4am, couldnt find him, went out again at 7am and couldnt find him. So we are hoping someone picks him up and gives a call cause he has a tag with our number on it. So fingers crossed we get the call soon cause today was meant to be a 'family fun day'!! I put my foot down yesterday and said to Jason that none of his friends are to come over, that we are spending it as a family and going out somewhere...
V- laugh at your family fun day!! we were ment to go to my grans for lunch today (lunch is always 3-4pm when they say to come at 12), but i was so tired yesaterday i cancelled and said I need to rest and can only rest when aaron is home to look after Kaetlyn.
My other reasoning was that aaron has been at work all week and studying so he hasnt seen much of her.
Jas- great photos! he is a handsome little devil- very photogenic (?sp)!
Bec- i am a short ass as well, and aaron is not much taller than me- but kaetlyn seems to be really long- my dad was really tall, so maybe she got those genes???
I found some photos of my as a toddler yesterday and Kaetlyn looks just like me, it is uncanny!!
Jemima- can we give them something to make them poop? Kaetlyn was grumpy after not pooping for one day so dont want to imagine what she is like after 8!!!
Well its 1130 and have just had breaky (and a good sleep in!!)- i need to wake kaetlyn up for a feed- i think she is snug in her cot at the moment and it is getting warmer so will have to peel a blanket back for her day sleeps I thjink.
My BB's are full as today- she had demanded more in the last couple of days so my boobies are supplying more- just as they were ment to!! Good BB's!!
I start netball on thurs and then following week I play mon and thurs. V- how did your supply go after the gym- has it decreased? My MIL has me paranoid about my supply decreasing from the increase of physical activity. Is there anything I can do to make sure it doesnt???
well I'll be off!
Hi,
Thanks very much for all your comment I am so proud of my beautiful boy! He's quite a spunk I think!
Hi,
Very tired today. My boy won't sleep when the sun gets up and it's now light at 6.30 in the morning. I've managed to get him back there now, but don't know how long it will last.
The little bugger has also decided that it would be nice to pick that feed in the wee hours of the morning back up, lets say 2.30 in the morning. Oh he was very happy though, handing out the smiles at that un-godly hour. This better be a phase.
Well best go have some chicken soup, (yep at 8.30 in the morning) I have a cold and this crazy scratchy throat, everything I've eaten for breaky so far has been yuck.
There's my selfish post
Hope you all have a good day.
