We dtd the day before and after ewcm (sshhh don't tell DH!!) so pretty sure that's when it all happened :rofl: Not that we were trying (we were more not trying than trying) but hormones are at peak then ;) Would be awesome if you fell that quickly Erica! A girl in the other baby group (June 1-15 which I'm also part of) fell pregnant on their first TTC cycle
Thanks Belle. I'm only 2DPO so got a while to go yet before I can test. I'm scrutinizing every niggle and pain I'm having down there which isn't good! It's going to do my head in! Trying not to think about it too much. This is my first month properly TTC so I'm not expecting a BFP but it would be awesome.

Dani - Man, I feel for you, I know your Dr's are doing the best they can but I really hope for you they find a combo that works for him soon. Poor little thing. My SIL (pretty bad epileptic since teens) a couple of years ago found her fits were getting worse, and worse, and they had her on the max of three different drugs. In the end the Dr's found that the wrong anti-convulsants were actually causing her to have extra convulsions, it must be tricky to find out what works for different conditions I suppose. But light at end of tunnel, they did end up weaning her off them and finding one that works. Thinking of your little man hoping they can do the same for him real soon.
Miss L a bit the same as the rest with the weight drop, but then she did start walking at 10 months and now careens around everywhere and climbs up on ridiculously high things and burns all these calories and decides to go on a food/bottle strike, just wants boob, and we all know I don't have enough to put fat on her regardless of how often I feed her which is naturally all through the night when she does that (Rumpled - I hear ya sista). So she isn't a chubba anymore either :( What can you do, can't force feed em, she looks well enough, just slim.
Oh sas I would heart a little girl so much but I don't think it's going to happen any time soon! My BBTs are still low at 3DPO and I should have seen a temp rise if I'd O'd so I'm thinking I had an LH surge but no ovulation. So have ordered some more OPKs off the net and am charting diligently.
Keep that baby dust coming!!
And wow sas your little princess walking at 10 months! Awesome! She must be burning a few more cals now that she is up and going. As long as the doc isn't concerned by her being slim I wouldn't worry too much :hugs:

Hope everyone is well. I'm hating this TTC rollercoaster, having PCOS makes it so much more uncertain. I thought I O'd last week with a +ve OPK but I had the hormone surge without releasing the egg as my BBTs remain low post-O.. so I guess I haven't O'd yet. Still a chance this month to catch that egg, but I just want to have a normal cycle dammit! Ok rant over.
Our place still hasn't sold. It's been on the market for 3 weeks now. We've had one offer but it was way less than what we wanted so we knocked it back. Still living with mum and dad, which is fine for the most part.. DH is a little freaked about DTD with all the other people in the house, which doesn't help my TTC cause one bit.
Lachlan is *almost* walking.. I think he's going to get it in a week or so. He lets go of what he's holding on to, takes a couple of steps and then plonks his butt on the ground. I think he gets a bit overwhelmed and forgets what to do. It doesn't help that we're all flapping around like chooks with our heads cut off cos he's taken a couple of steps. :lol:

Theo didn't have much of a birthday, he was still too sick. This is the cold to end all colds.
He was actually crawling a bit and smiling last night so must be getting better - this is almost like going back to babyhood again. He hasn't been cute for a week - he's been a pale, green, puffy eyed floppy baby :(

AFM - CD 21 and still waiting for O. Got some EWM today but -ve OPK so not sure if O is coming. Will keep testing. Cross your fingers for me!

I been under the weather myself.. lots of boogers here, 2 hrs sleep on Tuesday was not nice at all.
Harlee is trying to walk, still just standing on her own, but she's been doing that for a while. She is a terror, I'm constantly cleaning her messes as she goes.. it's never ending and it tires me out so much. She climbs all over the furniture and demands attention from EVERYONE.
Her 1st birthday was fun, just the 2 families came, the ones who cared (my side) and the ones that took it as a opportunity to get into dh's shed, not happy, dh and his brother & sil were in his shed half the time. shows how much he cares. wheres that bloody angry face.
Nothing I could do about it as mil always says he should spend lots of time in the shed, doing things he likes because he needs a break from us ( who he see's for 2 hours every night, which is apparently too effing much.)

Okay I need to rant, so I apologise.
Yes I understand that falling pregnant is not easy for everyone, and that some people go through a lot of heart ache before they are blessed with a baby, but if I say that both my babies were 'woops' as in they weren't planned, then I can. I am not saying it to rub it in your face, or to lessen the value of my child.
Okay rant over and I'm sorry if I've offended anyone in here because that is not my intention

Thanks hun. Apparently it puts a bad meaning to their existence our some crap. Unplanned is okay though. Everything was okay in our little group until two people came back, and they like to push their ways, including calling someones friend a phallic object because they agreed the baby would be a woops... To us, friend and me, we pretty much mean woops to be unplanned/unexpected whatever... It's not like we don't want what we have...
Sorry it's just got me annoyed. Don't think I'll be telling them how I gave no emotional attachment to this baby and that for about 18 weeks I would have rathered not be pregnant

it's just stupid, all because one person had to go through ivf to conceive. the other person has just jumped in cos it is a way to make things uncomfortable for everyone. okay, well maybe i'm reading into it more than required, but before they rejoined our group (they left because of a massive blowup) everything was calm and we could talk about whatever. now i don't know if i can say i'm having a blergh day and that it would be soo much easier if i weren't pregnant
one thing i don't understand though is they would rather 'surprise'. to me, that is more condescending because if you're doing that, it's not a surprise when it happens, but it can be a woops because you don't plan it / condom doesn't make it on or breaks / forgot to take pill.... does that make sense to anyone or is it just me? am i over-reacting?
Two of mine were oopsies and the first one was 100% planned by the ex and 0% planned by me and has completely, utterly ruined my career, as you'd expect by having a baby 18 months after finishing a graduate degree and then going part time as you're now a single mother. Babies are good like that. The progression of events *after* that, however, has led to me finding what I really want to do and a person I really want to do it with which is more than most people can say, but haven't hit the money yet.
Anyway, Theo is almost 100% now after that cold from hell. He had a huge, huge growth spurt at just over 11 months and shot up a clothing size and porked out in fat rolls and extra chins all over but he didn't get weighed. He had his checkup the other day and sure enough, massive spike in the chart for length crossing several lines on the graph but stayed on the 25th percentile for weight. I put some of his jeans on that fit perfectly just before he got sick (he stayed in trakky daks the whole time he was sick) and they are so loose he simply falls out of them - I think he lost well over a kilo being sick, all of his growth spurt weight and a bit more too. Pretty scary. He'd regressed to almost newborn there for a week, sleeping 20 hours a day, barely moving, not babbling, not crawling, (and hardly eating - not every day you see yellow nappies) so now we're like "look! he smiled" "wow, he crawled across the lounge!" "he's chatting!" "he ate some dinner!" like having the entire first year condensed into two days of recovery.
And he just had a cold, not whooping cough or pneumonia or the flu or anything really obnoxious, just a cold ... I'm still not 100% better myself and its been almost 3 weeks since I caught it - the only symptoms are runny nose and a cough, although 3 out of 5 of us also got a bad fever for a day or two.
Now he actually stays awake more than an hour at a stretch we cut several inches off his hair, it was getting in his eyes again and he was starting to develop a part across the top of his head where gravity was getting at the longest bits, which looked ridiculous. So now with all the dark baby hair gone he's an unrecognisable short haired blonde baby :)
UA - Are you serious??? YAAAAAY for Woops's! Lilah was a woops, (as was I, and one of my brothers, and I don't feel unwanted, pfft) Hell, before the last 20 years, pretty much everyone was a woops. And I don't know what someone said to make you need to 'rant' but I'm sure noone in this thread thinks anything of your 'woopsies', mate, I feel for you, sometimes it feels like you can't say anything without someone getting offended, and then if you don't say anything you offend someone by your silence :rolleyes: All the best with new pregnancy!!
Poor little Theo, he sounds like he was so ill, are you sure it wasn't flu? Poor bub.
AFM - I have my first niece!! My SIL had a baby girl in the wee hours this morning after three boys, so she is over the moon and has already put a ribbon in her hair, I think we'll be seeing nothing but pink on that baby girl!
Yay sas! Congrats on your new niece! I bet you're loving the newborn snuggles.

AFM - Lachlan has started walking which is awesome. So amazing to see him tottering about. :hooray:
Anyone else having an issue when they are changing or dressing their child? Lachlan fights with me and squirms and wriggles and tries to flip over mid-change every time. It's getting very draining especially if there is only one of us. He constantly needs to have something to hold (like a toy or something) to distract him but even then it's only for a minute or so then he tries to move. Is this normal??
And in TTC news, I ovulated 10 days earlier than my last cycle which I'm thrilled about. Unfortunately we didn't BD so I'm out of the TWW but I'm just glad I O'd (well according to FF I did)

Umm yeah I think fighting change time is normal! Although P isn't too bad most of the time. If he really wants his bum changed he will lay there and hold his legs up (after getting a nappy/wipes/liner for me as a subtle hint). But if he is in a playful mood he takes off the second the nappy is undone - not soo good when it is a poo!! I've gone back to changing him on the change table a fair bit because it is getting harder for me to chase him. I don't have a big belly yet but I certainly notice I'm pregnant when I have to chase him around the house! Man can that kid crawl fast!! Clothes though he is pretty good. You can give him directions - arms up / arms through / stand up - and he will follow them :) makes changing a lot easier.

Yay for O'ing!! Probably not something a LOT of people get excited about, but when your TTC, and with PCOS I imagine it is a pretty exciting thing :)
P still isn't walking unassisted, but I am totally cool with that because it means I have my baby for a little while longer :lol: He is however becoming a bit of a climber when he really wants something! Funny to watch sometimes, especially when he was trying to climb onto the leather lounge in the lounge room. He can easily climb onto our other lounge in the dining/tv/play room as it is a lot lower to the ground.
DH has told me that I'm not allowed to buy anymore nappies :( not even pretty girlie ones :cry: well he said I could get a couple but that's it! She'll be born coming into summer so it would be soo cute to show off her fluffy bum

Hope you are all well. Any babies started walking yet? I think I mentioned previously that L started walking.. he's getting really good at it now. He's popped 4 teeth this month also, which has accounted for his grouchiness. he seems to be back to his old self.
Target are having a hug toy sale at the moment. I bought him a plastic swing and slide set for christmas that I can layby until 24th December! Awesome cos it cost us $200! (reduced $50). Mum bought him every single Thomas the Tank Engine thing they had (must of spent around $700 on him!!) for christmas. ONE SPOILT BOY!
L is on full cows milk now, no more formula :hooray: I give him 1 x 240ml in the morning, water from his sippy cup during the day, 1 x 120mL before his late morning nap and another 1 x 240mL bottle just before bed. He drinks a heap of water now.. don't give him juice and the child care centre doesn't either.
And he's fitting size 2's now!! OMG! He's 75% for height and weight. He's babbling a whole lot now and says simple words like "duck" or "book" and "mama" and "dada" of course.
Anyway, that's all from me. Still not UTD. Hoping to fall this month, but I did O earlier than I have previously so I think the new medication I am on is working!

Lucky you get gifts - ours is a third child and we just get money, which is nice and all but there's no toy stores around here (have to drive down to where the people who give us money are to buy toys) so it goes on food and he gets no presents. He has next to no toys of his own, and being a boy he's wearing a fair bit of hand-me-down girl's clothes cos the last kid got bought SO many clothes as presents. My aunt gives him stuff, and he got a couple of things at his first christmas, but that's about it.
No walking or talking yet, but he's got tall enough to get into practically everything. He's only just in size 1s, they fit fine before he got sick but he lost so much weight I need him in size 0's still for the waist, which leaves his ankles uncovered. Can't win.
Our new house arrives next week - really looking forward to theo having his own room. It'll be a while before we can move in though, getting floor coverings and all the utilities connected is going to be 'interesting'.
Of course when we move he gets a whole room full of hand-me-down furniture ... his sister's bed, his dad's cupboards, his sister's sheets and blankets ... and I can almost guarantee his room won't have a single toy in it.
Oh RE - I'm sure that my subsequent kids will have all of L's hand me downs too! Poor Theo being in girls clothes! Does he suit pink?? :rofl:
L is the first grandchild on BOTH sides so he has been spoilt rotten
Never had much pink thankfully, more purple and yellow and green but those are all girl's colours now so they all have flowers and butterflies on. Boys are only allowed to wear blue and brown and grey for some reason ...
Theo is the 3rd on both sides for us, and the second boy grandchild for my partner's parents. Ours is a blended family, my first daughter is much older than the others and has dark brown hair and brown eyes where the other two are blonde with blue and green eyes, so she stands out a bit. Fortunately my hair has got darker over the years so I match her a bit more now :) And she has my nose.
RE - I'm sure Theo looks cute no matter how many butterflies are on his shirt!
DS was second grandchild on both sides (9yr gap on my side, 2yrs on DH) and there has definitely been a difference in the amount of spoiling that occurs. DH's parents' went stupid with their first grandchild, and poor Parky kinda got the left over enthusiasm. My parents however, because there had been such a gap, were happy to spoil, but also realised that you don't need to spend a lot of money to do it, and I would say spoil him with love and affection more than DH's parents do. With Little Miss on the way, she will be the second granddaughter on DH's side, so again she will get the left over excitement I think, or I'll be inundated with stuff I wouldn't buy myself (although I know SIL will pass down all the clothes and she has good taste thankfully). It will be the first granddaughter for my parents though so I can't imagine what they are going to be like.
In other news, I think my milk supply is dwindling :(
Oh sad UA... Have you tried pumping to stimulate your supply? Fenugreek really helped my supply, and drinking loads of water as well.
I'm sure your supply will pick up once little miss arrives!
Is Parker self-weaning?
I put a thread in the breastfeeding problems and support, but I don't drink enough water, or eat enough because I'm only just getting back to it with the sickness... his day feeds he is getting really frustrated with and pushes my boobs away after a few minutes even though he wants them because he is clawing at my chest :( Haven't tried pumping cos it is depressing enough that I might not be able to give my baby what he wants, let alone see that I'm not producing enough itms
Awww honey don't get sad you're not able to keep up your supply. Your body us working super hard trying to grow another baby and feed the one you've got! P will be ok with less feeds, especially if he's having loads and water and cows milk throughout the day. Believe me, when little miss comes along you'll have super boobs again!

UA - you've probably reverted to colostrum. You're fighting nature at this stage, as bodies first priority is new pregnancy which is why a lot of babies will self-wean in the second trimester or beyond when the placenta has truly taken over and is blocking prolactin which is what brings your milk in. BUT, colostrum is still really good for bub, so whatever he gets is good - will he take a sippy, straw or bottle of cows milk in addition if he wants more volume? If he pushes through you could be tandem feeding soon enough. Is that what you're hoping for?
It is frustrating not having as much as they want, I really feel your pain. DD2 won't touch a bottle anymore and doesn't drink enough from a straw cup, and with being sick and going off her food and only wanting my meagre supply her weight has been dropping and it is sooooo frustrating to not just have what she wants.
Blackrose - I know, the Toy Sales were awesome, we got a massive stack of stuff from KMart with theirs, and had a big family present party, followed this weekend by a big party with all their little friends (and their parents of course) this Saturday, I made a massive, fancy 'Broby from Gabba Gabba' cake, and a stack of party food and oh, the pass the parcel was truly awesome as I got all these cheap barbie doll type things and matchbox cars, it was so much fun, kids are sooo cute with how much they enjoy lame party games, and I put DD in her princess dress which she thought was just the bees knees and DD2 in her princess flamenco dress my parents brought her back from spain. We tried to layby for a couple of months, but they would only let us layby if we wanted delivery in December, (which we don't as we don't celebrate Christmas, we do our own thing through the year) So we just got it all and did it now!
RE - yeah what is with the blue, brown, grey theme. IT's so frustrating that after you get out of 0000 or 000 everything divides from being possibly unisex to being pink & Purple, or blue and brown. Just so we have to spend more money on different genders, pfft.
DD2 not much of a talker compared to DD1 at this age, (but my mum tells me she was freakish), she's got a few words but they're not as 'clear and crisp' IYKWIM as DD1s, she says Mum, Dada, Baba (for herself and Elly), Chair, Opa, and of course her main ones which I find quite hilarious are: "DAT!" (That) Pointing at what she wants, or clawing at my boobs :lol: "'SIDE (outside) whilst bashing on the doors and looking at you plaintiffly, and "SHARE!" Usually directed at DD1, though it can apply to anyone who has anything she wants, often accompanied by a wail. I think she's too good at communicating what she wants without having to talk much so doesn't bother as much. She's so cheeky already, me thinks we're going to be in for it when she's older.

I'm still so excited for you! I'm so glad it wasn't a long process for you and our bubs will be still close enough in age :)
P has 14 teeth and is back to biting me, although very rarely on the boob, so I think he might be getting some more soon. Still not walking by himself, but can climb! It's getting hard to carry him all the time, but at leafy he still depends on me for something other than my boobs!! I've also started sitting him on the potty at nappy changes just to get him use to it... He will get a nappy or wipes when he needs it changed, so he is obviously aware to some extent.
I love the random cuddles and kisses he gives at the moment
Afm - 7 weeks to go! Excited but scared poopless at the same time. Morning sickness has returned, thanks for the few weeks off, and heartburn has decided to join in the fun. Braxton hicks when I'm feeding P, and lots of periods like cramping and back ache randomly. Kinda over it but I know it's too early for bub so mummy will oblige. She's still growing nicely by the ultrsounds, and my belly is getting there so it will be interesting to see how I measure on tuesday (I've been 3 weeks behind for a while).

Our lump has decided he's a baby and he's not changing. Won't walk, won't talk, still on the boobies.
He scratches on the door to get in or out, points at things he wants and bats things away that he doesn't want, points at things he wants you to tell him the name of, can climb up the furniture and stands there not holding onto anything, but won't walk or talk. Its infuriating.
We can't get him to copy anything we say but he copies everything Miss 3 does - and she NEVER talks to him, she makes all sorts of silly noises instead. He can almost sing all her favourite TV show intros, and the latest thing he copied is going "doot do doooo!" into a cardboard tube. But can we get him to say "mum"? Nooooo. Argh!
He's also fatter than she is - my mother measured them and he has a 54cm chest and she has a 52cm one :) He has 3 top teeth, two bottom teeth, and two bottom molars, which is the same order she grew teeth in so obviously growing teeth in a weird order is genetic. Her eye teeth came in last.

HI EVERYONE ELSE!!
AFM- not all that much happening here, no babies that for sure! Cman is determined to be a big boy not a baby despite my best efforts *cries* he started walking at 10 1/2months and has all his normal teeth and a full set of 4molars (as of the last week or so). hes very determined to speak and will have entire conversations with me about stuff.... with me understanding 3 words or so, hes happy to say his versions of no, three go!, cat, birdy, fishy, dog, there it is! and where gone? among other things. hes also a big daddy's boy and wont have a bar of mummy if daddy is around.
i FINALLY had my op to fix scar tissue from my episiotmy in mid august, we can now successfully DTD :confetti: it only took until mr c was 15months old!!! that being said DF has been being the biggest pain in my bum ever so we have only DTD once since i could. who'd of thought men would be so annoying about organising a wedding ey? i have a list a mile long of things we need to do, order, pay for and hes being so meh about it and not helping AT ALL. we were late giving the musicians our song choices cos dan would tell me what he liked, so i i chose and then showed him and he didnt like them! things like that...grr making me cross just hinking about it! anyweay!!
ooh my DF's friend is due 18th nov with her 1st, we went to her baby shower last weekend. holy crap she has NO idea about birth etc its kinda scary, to make matters worse everyone there was giving her advice like just get the epidural its the best way etc and *****ing about someone they knew who had a homebirth the other day acting like she was some freaky feral and talking about how they tried to talk her out of it etc. i couldnt believe it! they all gave me funny looks when i said good on her, thats a beautiful example of a womans body doing what it was designed to do, without medical intervention. but then again most of them were people who had never had a vg birth let alone a natural unassited one with only a doula, midwife and husband.
anyway enough reambling, im off to do wedding organising

I haven't been on belly belly for a while, not really enjoying it anymore. I have just had to pop in to see you belly buddies :)
I'm also expecting in May next year, looking forward to it although going to prepare myself much better for the birth this time. We have all been very ill here, a horrible fever has hit our household :(
Harlee started walking at 14 months, and she signs and talks a LOT! But mostly animals and things, not useful words. Alot of 'This!' Mummy and Daddy' 'papa' ducky' toortle' banana' 'yum' 'weee' 'chesse'
And she signs, elephant, hat, duck, dog, keys, car, drink, food, mum, shower, because it is mostly my mum teaching her signs it is alot of things that is at their house Harlee loves to smell flowers and blow out the lights, so if there are any flowers around, she starts sniffing and demands she smells them! And if she sees a light switch she will blow and point up because she wants the light on or off.
We are going to try potty train her when the weather is warmer. Wish us luck!
OMG Tali - you kept that quiet! Yay! We're kind of belly buddies again! When are you due??

AFM - Lachie doesn't have any molars yet... only 7 teeth! And thinking of starting potty training in the summer... what's everyone else doing?
We started potty training Miss 3 when she was getting on for 2 and she had some pretty serious objections to the whole thing and it was quite unsuccessful, but with some pain we got there. Now she's nearly 4 and I don't think we're even remotely close to getting her out of nappy pants at night.
I'm just going to wait until Theo starts copying her, he copies everything else she does, might as well take advantage of it :D
Thankfully this time we aren't in a house with carpet. Doesn't take long to get sick of constantly mopping up puddles on the carpet. Or poops, after the child has stepped in them and left a trail of poop footprints right through the lounge ...
Edit: just remembered he already does copy her on the toilet. He helpfully unravels the toilet rolls and puts them in the toilet for us.
We stick cman on the potty before we put him in the bath and if we are letting him run around nudie but he just thinks it's an awesome chair atm with a convenient place to post stuff :lol:
Elf- why would Theo want to bother doing stuff when he's got plenty of willing servants? That's what my sister was like.

Servants isn't quite the right word. I'd be using 'fans' or 'groupies' lol ... my eldest thinks he's the cutest thing in the entire universe :)

Well we had a new word on Sat, would. As in he said "otay, i would" and toddled off to where the biscuits were. I was like pardon!? And he said it again, crazy kid. Tho he won't do things like go down steps without holding onto someone or climb up onto the couch or chair.

L is doing great and I'm now 17.5 weeks along with #2. Feeling well with this pregnancy too :)
