Simone: I could count the times I've smoked on my hands and feet... and they were not all cigarrettes LOL and that was only out clubbing... back when you were allowed to smoke indoors! I never really liked it to be honest... so didn't become addicted.

Forgot who asked but I just made plain biccys with sultanas. Nothing fancy.

Neeny: yep... went to the Caulfield Guinneas with DH for a work function... he has a legal set of banking clients... so I had to be on my best behaviour and also had to dress very conservatively! As you will see on my website I look like the Queen's hand maiden LOL Oh and you can't see it clearly in the piccy but my clutch purse was my BB secret santa pressie from last year!

All on schedule here... clothes all washed and hung... Wade needing constant direction... Niall sleeping.

Anyone going to cup or oaks day this year? It looks like DH might have some good work coming up, some i might be able to have a day out...

I can't believe that it is monday again already. Time is just flying by, we leave for Bali in 11 days and I starting to get pretty excited.
The BBQ went really well on Saturday night, it was nice to just hang out with friends. Tori decided that she didnt want to miss out on all the action and wouldnt go to bed till everyone left (and boy did we pay for it yesterday, the only way I could get her to stay asleep was to lay on the couch with her on my chest). My goddaughter loved her cake, but I only remember that I hadnt taken a piccy when it was half eaten:crying: oh well I will just have to make more fancy cakes.

Melb Girls- Glad to hear that your meet went really well.

Bath- Glad your day at the races went well, I am hanging out for an occasion to get all dressed up nicely.

Neeny- I hope Aleise is feeling better soon, poor little thing it is not nice to feel sick at the best of times, but must be worse when you are a baby and you can't tell anyone how to make you feel better.

Bettter go Tori has just woken up, hopefully I will be back later.

bath - even though your outfit was (had to be) a conservative style I think you look gorgeous - its amazing how a hat can just finish off an outfit.

neeny - hows aleise today??? showing some improvement I hope.

Ali - so know what yu mean about time flying we have only 6 weeks now before we leave for the US and Canada and I don't know how I'm going to be ready!!!!

Simone - I wish I could go to the cup - I've only ever been once and it was a great day but being so far away it makes it hard to organise - will have to plan it for next year I think.

Thanks Jaspen :) I've actually just sent off an email to my step mother... asking if she has any hats that she doesn't need that I might be able to remodel. She breeds race horses and used to give me designer hand-me-downs when I was a teenager that i didn't appreciate back then but would Looooove these days! She will be visiting us soon during a stop over on a cruise (she does one every six months or so... last time they went up to Canada and Russia!).

Ali: LOL regarding your cake! I also forgot to take a piccy of Wade's cake until it was half eaten! Is there a piccy anyway on your website?

I've been absent! Have just done a quick skim of the weekend posts.
My weekend was nice, my mum was down and mostly well-behaved, apart from criticising my baby-wearing (saying Oscar would be crawling by now if I wasn't wearing him so much...but knowing this is highly unlikely I dismissed it very quickly and told her I was most comfortable wearing Oscar like they do in baby-wearing cultures!), and my exclusive BFing. Of course, no harm came to me by eating pureed apple from 3 months blah, blah blah. So, she's off the list of baby-sitters, should I decide I want to leave him for any reason, for at least the next two months! I don't think she would appreciate my devastation if she was caught feeding him solids. Not that it would go unnoticed cos his poo would change! That was her main consternation, but we parted on good terms and she insisted she wasn't criticising my parenting (I think she thinks feeding is completely separate from parenting!). I hung out with my dad for the rest of yesterday after she left and watched Samsara - what a beautiful film!! On the down side, turns out DP gets dejected when I tell him how good my dad is with Oscar. He knows on the one hand that I'm not gloating and that I am actually being pleasantly surprised by my dad since Oscar came along (my dad being chronically depressed and having treatment for it), but on the other it reminds him that his dad didn't make it. He knows he is being silly, but I think he is entitled to those feelings. I also feel cheated that his dad didn't make it and I think about his dad all the time and tell Oscar about him. For such a great year, that event alone causes me a lot of pain, so I can only imagine what DP feels. However, I don't want to avoid talking about my dad because the other grandaddy isn't around - that's not fair on my dad, Oscar or me. But I do know where DP is coming from. He has kept himself very busy this year and I wish he would just stop and feel what it is he has to feel about what happened.
Speaking of DP, he is off on a strike team at the Morwell Open Cut fire for three days. So I'll probably stay over at my dad's tonight and hang out with him later today. We all got up just after 4am to get DP ready and then drive him to the fire station for a 5am departure. It was a bit lonely when they left and Oscar and I closed up the station again. But then we came home and went back to bed and we're over it for now!
The Meet Up - I didn't get time to say this on Friday, but I had a great time and really enjoyed everyone's company! Simone, please tell your DH that I really enjoyed staying back with you, the kids and Rory and Flynn :) It's not often that such a big group of diverse people get along like that. I've been in one such other group and that was through the CFA - we all surprised the organisers of Challenge 2005 by getting along brilliantly until the 2nd last day for the textbook 'storming', which apparently happens on day 2...not day 7!
I took one photo with my camera - don't know why it was only one! But I'll email it around - it's of Nic with Nixon. I know he tried to be a grumpy bum, but we all saw him smile and heard him chatter, so we're not convinced by that grumpy game! He's a great kid, Nic - we knew he'd turn out just fine! Flynn is a very smiley baby, indeed and loves his sleep! He IS a very compulsive 'stander', like Oscar (I was worried about bowing, but decided that he usually plops back down when tired) and is VERY cute in overalls! Wade and Niall are just cutie pies, aren't they? Wade is so placid - could easily make a liar out of Bath, but we know their mishcievous little ways, so we don't doubt her about his capacity to be a handful. Simone's kids are so lovely - even Xander with his heavy shorts!
Well, Oscar is trying to wake up, so I'd best be off...still haven't had a shower yet...
Oh, yeah, my babyswim classes have been brought forward - I got a spot in the term starting this week!

Hi all, five minutes to spare so I thought I'd pop in and say hi. How did the races go yesterday, How's things today Donna, better I hope? Ali wow 11 days thats great have fun you lucky duck. Simone Daktaren gel is excellent. I used the nistatin drops on Nate and the gel on my nipples, and on a dummy for him to suck off. There has been a push by some goody goody group to have it taken off the over the counter list since a couple of baby's have choked on it (clogged up their airway), but I say that is the silly parents fault for being so silly as to put it on the spoon and try to feed it to their baby's. The broader community is not that silly and will put it on a dummy or finger a bit at a time.Ok gotta go, bye Dee

hahaha! IK that email about the homeless woman kinda sums us up hey? Although I kinda surprised myself by not drinking when I had it available free on Saturday... I've been very low maintainence for DH so far... think this will have to change as I get older...

Well its been a warm, if not hot couple of days up here, but this afternoon it has gone overcast so we might be in for some rain. Didn't really do anything on the weekend just stayed home and pottered around the house. We had a house inspection today so that was fun (not), told the real estate lady we NEEDED a new clothesline, its been broken for nearly 2 yrs and we could still use it spareingly, but now the clip that holds it up has broken and you can't use it at all. So hopefully I'll have one soon. My mum and dad are coming down this Friday for the weekend as it's my little brothers birthday so we will be having a BBQ or something.

Jaspen how did the trail cake go, have you decided what you will make yet? Is it this weekend that you'll be making it for?

Hiya Amanda... I've just asked our real estate agent for either a water tank or a grey water connection! LOL Will be a miracle if it happens though. But the owner really stresses about the garden here and I'm sick of lugging grey water in buckets AND paying huge water bills trying to keep everything alive. I asked what we are obligated to do. They already know we've paid for RoundUp for the weeds and rose sprays to kill the disease on the front rose hedge.... plus all the labour i put in... you never know... they are paying for the mulch that was delivered 2 weeks ago... *fingers crossed* We'd Love a new clothesline too... the one here is tiny and old and can't be raised and I bash my head on it all the time... oh well... with a bit of luck we'll end up buying this place and living here forever!

hey amanda - meant to congratulate on the cake you made for Lauchlan - it was great!!!! As for my trial - hasn't been done yet cause I had to go away for a week to take my dad home as he was not well and since I've got back haven't been able to get rid of my ILs (nice of them to help out while I was away but surely they could appreciate since we'll be seeing them this coming weekend that a weekend to ourselves would have been nice and they could have left a little earlier than lunchtime yesterday) - sorry about the vent realised you didn't need to hear all that. anyway so I wasn't trialling in front of MIL who is an ex home ec teacher (whose cooking I'm not a real fan of) so hopefully will trial tomorrow - it will either be just a plain old number 3 or an elephant if I think I can handle it. Thanks for the butter tip - I have bought the good old stick of butter and will use it in the trial. How long before the day do you think I can make it - last time I made and refridgerated without covering properly and the cake dried out. Also how do they go if you freeze them and ice them frozen - does anyone know (looking at reducing the crumbing affect you get when you cut cakes to make shapes)

Ali and Bath - speaking of cakes went looking for photos of yours yesterday only to read your point on how you forgot to photograph them - nearly did that last year with DS's train cake.

Bath - we made sure that the excess water was included in the lease with this new house as the owners happened to be here when we inspected the place and made such a big deal about keeping the garden up and being up here in Townsville and the type of plants they are they need tonnes of water. I'm trying to be a bit more water conscious lately but don't think our owners would go for a water tank as it might affect the look of the place. (something they are paranoid about)

Actually speaking of cakes I found a website in america where people put in photos of different cakes they have made (of all different standards) which is great for ideas.

Bath yeah our landlord is a little slow on doing things for us, I have a whole list of things that desprately need fixing, but he either doen't want to get them fixed or doesn't really give a stuff about it, another thing I really want fixed is the paved drive out the back. They haven't laid them properly so overtime they have left huge grooves and now the boys trip and fall over them (very dangerous), I even tripped over them while pg.

Jaspen I usually make the cake on the day before and wrap in cling wrap and put in the fridge overnight, but I'm sure I'm sure I read in my woman's weekly book that you can freeze them, I'll check and get back to you about it. I agree about your IL's you poor thing.

amanda - is your place directly through the landlord or through an agent??? from experience sometimes the agents don't pass things on, if they do they often don't followup to get responses?? the other thing is if you notify them of the pavers and they do nothing their public liability insurance company will want to know if anything does happen - let alone any negligence in not getting them repaired that will be their direct responsibility (Rory might know more about the negligence aspect) - I'd be raising the paving one in writing if it is getting to the dangerous stage.

Jaspen read my book, it says to cook the day before needed and refrigerate in airtight container overnight and if you think it will take longer then 30 mins to ice then freeze it 30 mins uncovered before decorating. Yeah its rented thru a real estate but the owner is really slow in fixing things, when we moved in the tiles in the shower were half off the wall and it didn't get fixed until we'd been in the house for 6 mths.

That's such a coincidence! Tiles came off our shower wall too but our landlord was onto it immediately because they knew that water damge by seepage could end up costing thousands if it rotted the woodwork! Our owners and agent are really good actually... I can't complain at all... it's just frustrating when you know you could easily fix an issue and save a fortune in the process as with the grey water issue.

Ok... gnocchi for dinner here... gee it's staying lighter for longer now! Time's getting away from me.

Jaspen is right about the negligence thing - landlords of domestic renatl properties have been foudn to be liable if they are aware of a problem and do nothing. That doesn't help you if you fall over and hurt yourself, but quietly letting the landlord or agent know that you know this might assist!

Bath, you don't look Queen Mumsy - you look just like the wife of a respectable bank-man should! Your DH should be proud of you.

Gotta go cook dinner but Simone, as they say on "Allo Allo" - I will say this only vance: I have smoked on and off since I was 14 but have not had a puff since I found out I was pg. I was a "social smoker" and like you could go long periods without one but then smoke when the opportunity presented itself. So with that background I know it is hard to give up smoking when it is such a pleasurable experience to draw that smoke in and feel the nicotine hit your blood.

Smoking runs in my family - my dad was a smoker too. He had smoked since he was 14 and couldn't give up - until he was diagnosed with lung cancer, that is. He quit the day he was told, but it was too late. My dad died of lung cancer when I was 9 years old - he was only 42. My dad never got to see me graduate from primary school or highschool, get married, graduate from uni, be admitted as a lawyer, have a baby. He never saw the Berlin Wall come down, Apartheid end in South Africa, etc etc. He missed all that. And that's not even starting on what I missed, what my mother missed, and what Flynn will miss out on by not having him for a grandfather.

Now, I know that excessive amounts of guilt are not conducive to change and can often make people depressed and even more inclined to do silly things like smoke, so here is the good news. For every year after a smoker stops they halve their chance of developing cancer. And as for the guilt - make sure you channel it into something positive like thinking about how you will be there for your darling little Annelise, Xander and Declan. You can quit darl, and we are all here to help you, and nag you till you do :)

Have had a hectic weekend here, best friend stayed at our house and then brought her other half here without even asking i was fuming....her excuse was i've done it to her. Mind you she has 4 different blokes....She wants to become a mum and i just don't know what to say or doto her at times!
DF when on a mad cleaning frenzy out in our back entertainment area, it looks great, i hinted we can fit a 6 person spa in there now. He said NO :crying:
I have been at centrelink today, they have hit me with a bill of $113.49 because apparently we didn't tell them at one stage that DF was working...it is on file though. But we still have to foot the bill. I am very cranky and upset :angry:
I counted Tarleha's money box today and she has $56.90, i told her she is pretty rich for a nearly 4 month old.
About the smoking issue. I too am a smoker who is trying to quit, i also have the problem of i actually enjoy it. I have tried to quit many times but the longest i have succeeded is 2mnths. My doctor is actually sceptical of me quiting as i was a self-mutilator and he is worried if i chuck the fags away i will go back to my old ways of relieving stress and coping.
Anyway have to go as Tee is a very whingy at the moment...you can actually feel 3 teeth at the bottom and 1 at the top but it's the bottom ones that are giving her trouble, we think one might not be that far away.

Simone/KLR- I was a fellow smoker... I quit about 18months ago. i think i have had 2-3 ciggys within that time (only when i was very intoxicated & thought what the hell!) It was very hard, what made it harder was dh was suppose to be quitting with me, which he did not. Im still trying to convince him to stop, (he like u simone only smokes 2-3 a day) but then i realised i cannot force him to quit. If you are going to quit, you need to WANT TO do it for yourself. Yes for the kids is an excellent reason to give up but you also need to want to do it for yourself. also good to realise your weak point then try to kill that. Eg: I was a sucker for have a fag when i got in the car. so i went & bought a heap of chuppa chups & every time i got in the car i sucked on a chuppa chup instead of having a cigarette, until eventually i didnt need to!
It is hard though, if you really wanna give it a good shot u could always ring the quitline, i am sure they would offer other very helpful advise to stick with it.IK- Yay for swim lesson! I hope Oscar has fun, its great to see them get used to the activities & water as you start going regulary.
I'm sure Nixon's teeth are moving around & bugging him. he has been having grumpy episodes for the last week now/rosey cheeks on and off and each time i give him bongela within a few mins he stops crying. Would you beleive as soon as Bath & I left Nixon crashed and slept the whole train trip home then the whole car trip from Baths & for another hr when we got home! It must be something to do with BB clan, last time i went to the melb bb dinner he was unsettled most of the night! You prob think i lie but USUALLY he is so easy to handle out & about cause he loves pram/car/baby bjorn etc.

Melb Cup- I REALLY wanna go to one of the days this year. getting a babysitter is the issue.... mum & dad were thinking of coming down & i was thinking yes got a sitter! but they r not coming anymore cause they are coming down on friday (were going to a wedding on the w/e) so unless i can find someone we wont be going. cause one day we might be moving back to syd i dont wanna say yeah i lived in melb for X amount of yrs and never went to spring carnival!
MOney box- i was thinking just today i have to take the change to the bank & put it in Nixons bank acct (opened one up last week mum & dad gave Nixon $100 to open bank acct for his christening) Thats a Very good start Tarlehalucky girl!!

all of you smokers - quit !... nah , i understand how hard it must be , i have never been a smoker ( unless i was drunk - i smoked - which made me more drunk ). But DH smokes soooo much and no matter what i say , how much i nag and tell him that Aneta does not want to visit him in hospital when he has lung cancer - he wont listen *sigh*

teething - I think we have started. Im not sure, but my angel suddenly becomes a devil every now and then... and as soon as we give her something to chew on so she has pressure on her gums, she stops crying... her gums are very hard so we'll see. But as soon as she has a tooth she wont be that little tiny newborn i took home from hospital but a growing child.. awwww my baby is that one step closer to growing up and leaving home :( hehe

AF - everyone can now breathe a sigh of relief, today i got my period *siiiigh* thank god for that because i was having drastic thoughts , and seeing pregnancy tests in my dreams ...dont get me wrong, i ladore my little fatty ( Aneta ) but no more babies for me!

And i feel so bad about Anneliese, the thrush is all over her tongue, roof of her mouth cheeks and lips. I've been giving her panadol and daktarin, been on gel for one day. I just give it to her in two blobs on my (washed) finger, and she uses her tongue to break it up and spread it around her mouth. She's so clever :)

My back pards great but the gardener rocks up whenever he wants (part of our lease, the gardener is paid for) so i cant let the kids out. They've trashed my house boohoo. going to take them out, only costs me $3.20 for an all day pass, going to get on a train and meet DH at the botanical gdns for lunch. Easy and the kids are behaving as they want to go on a train. Bribery works wonders sometimes...

I want to have quit smoking by the time i concieve #2, it is so hard though. I hate the thought of my daughter having to come and see me at the hospital if it comes to that. I wanted to quit before but since i've had Tee it has put it in a completely different perspective.
Sounds like Nixon has a nice amount of money to put in his bank acount. He is a lucky boy.
Sounds like a few of us are starting the teething stage. To me Tee still seems to little in my mind to have a tooth, i like her all gummy. She is growing too fast.
Simone Tarleha had bad thrush at one stage and i understand how you are feeling, it took quite a while to get rid of tee's. We used the daktarin gell as much as she hated it.
Tarleha has the bad nappy rash that can accompany teething and it is so bad that there is skinmissing in one spot. What did/do you girls use to cure nappy rash??? It is so painful for her that when we go to put cream on it she cries... :crying:

KL, i use bepanthen on the kids, it has almond oil in it which soothes the spot (apparently its an anaesthetic too!) and its thick enough to stop wee and stuff getting on it while it heals. I've used it on all 3 of mine, my mum used it on all 6 of us kids too! You just put it on rather generously and all done!! Hope this helps...

I dont think Anneliese is teething yet, thank god. But corrected she's only 2 months old, so give her some time :)

Nic, im thinking about taking up your suggestion... i dont smoke in the car, but i associate smoking with sitting out the back having a cuppa. Maybe i shouldn't sit out there anymore, i should con DH into letting me get a 3pce setting for the front porch and then i wont have to smoke outside anymore lol. (I need a good excuse to get one!!)

Quick one from me before starting dinner

KL, I use cream from a chemist in Essendon - he makes his own. They do mail order - details are David Hoskings Pharmacy ph 03 9379 7797. It is the best stuff I have used and works on really bad nappy rash in a flash

KL - Ive found sudocream or the antiseptic bepanthan are good for curing (curash is sometimes good too - I usually use the antiseptic bepanthan if I'm trying to cure a bad batch and the others to prevent or stop when just starting) but if you are using something like this and its not working you may have to go to the chemist and discuss with them there are some higher level antifungal nappy rashes that require something different to what you can get from the supermarket.

ETA there are two different bepanthen - antiseptic and just ointment - the antiseptic one I find works better on curing the other is more just a preventative I think.

Not such a great day here, I have put my back out really badly and can hardly walk, and definatley cant pick Tori up :( . It happened all of a sudden, I was putting her in her cot for a nap and it just went ping, didnt quite know what to do so I picked her up again straight away because I knew if I left her it would be even harder, went and phoned the physio and then drove around to Mums. Mum looked after Tori while I went to the physio- he did some manipulation, but I am still in agony and I cant use any deep heat or take any anti inflammatories for it. DH is staying home tomorrow to help me look after Tori, and I have another Physio appointment- hopefully after some more work and rest it will be better!

ali - take care of yur back - I put mine out when DS1 was 6 months old getting up out of chair (couldn't walk for three days - couldn't feel my legs for 36hours)and due to lack of treaqtment (couldnt get in to see anyone when it first went - it got better while working with a personal trainer but since having Samuel its turned to s**t since) it still is pretty bad

Evening June Mummies!!

Well had a pretty good day and since Matt is training he gets home earlier this week so I managed to get my butt to Power BAr (or Body pump) this evening. ONe lady suggested I bring Aleise with me and put her in a corner - which would solve the baby sitting issue for evening classes. I said "I don't think so". Imagine a person accidently running into her or a weight flying across the room and hitting her! Besides she will cry for attention if she sees me and I'm doing the class instead of playing with her! Oh well I'll be back at work next week and I can then afford the $4 for child minding in the mornings its just that the classes I want to do are in the evenings or when I'm at work! :confused:

Aleise is slightly better and I found she was wheezing less this morning since I decided not to use the vaporiser last night. Silly me though put her to bed tonight and forgot her bedtime ventolin dose ! :doh:

Bath: Love the pics darls. You look fab for a lady who gave birth 4 months ago! Gawd I wish I looked that good and we are the same age!. A size 8-10 I'm guessing??. Last time I was a size 10 I was like 24! Ohhh love the child photos of you too - can't believe how much Seaworld has changed since 1978!

Ali: Oooh that back sounds painful! Have you tried a magnetic blanket? I've used it for my arthritis pain and it works wonders. Obviously a trip to a chiropractor would do wonders too! Do take care of yourself now!

KL & Simone: I'm sure you could give up smoking - have you tried Nicorette?
KL: Taking up a hobby would divert your attention from doing anything silly should you do give up smoking successfullly. You've got a little girl to think of so your universe has expanded somewhat. Oh and about your friend with the 4 men.. WTF???? Sounds like a bit of a get around if you ask me. Someone like that shouldn't be having kids until she settled down with ONE guy! Oh funny thing happened in the shower today - I took Aleise into the bathroom and sat her on the babyrocker on the floor. ONce I'd finished my shower and was getting dressed she stared at my boobs as if to say "Gee mum they look familiar what are THOSE for?". I started her off on colostrum for the first 2 days of her life and she just looked really puzzled to see my boobs again. I'm sure all of you who are BF'ing are finding this amusing!!

MIL told me last night she's found the ultimate Birthday/Xmas gift for herself. A scrapbooking machine thing that cuts out shapes and words out of any material with a laser. It costs $500. I told her to check out E-bay for a cheaper version and that it costs wayyy too much for something that doesn't get you coffee in the morning. She then tried to justify it by saying her friends at patchwork are upgrading their sewing machines which cost $3000 each just because they wanted the latest model. I told her "I'd hate to be married to a high maintenance person and that would be a dumb thing to do 'cause those things depreciate in value". I asked her "what's wrong with your sewing machine?" and she said "nothing" so I said "no need to replace it then!". Gee some women have got it soooo good and they don't know how the other half live. I won't blab on about what my mum went through but my dad NEVER funded any of her hobbies!

Well girls I"ve dribbled long enough. Time for bed me thinks - still in gym clothes and I need to have another shower.

Yep well my big boy was half a year yesterday! he celebrated by spewing like a trooper!(i think he's the only baby his age that still needs to wear a bib almost all of the time, if we didnt he'd go through 5-6 outfits a day) my god i can't wait for the day he grows out of this spewing i swear. he had sweet potato the other day which he loved but then his spew was all orange!
Bath- i forgot to take In-liven when i went to sydney, i was really angry @ first thinking my god i am going to feel crap every day, but surprisingly i didnt notice much difference. So seings it is pretty expensive if taking a lot all the time i decided i will just take it less often & only if i think i feel i need to. otherwise i get addicted to it but cannot really afford to buy it every week or two.
another thing i have been meaning to ask you for a while now. What ever happened to your birth story? I remember at the time cause Kelly was there she was going to write something up? but we never got to read your birth story?!

Morning Ladies
Well yesterday was an interesting experience. I signed up last year to Mystery Shopping and I finally got my first assignment yesterday.I had to go and test drive a car, not any old car but a Chrysler 300C. Very s****y for someone like me who has always had cars like fords and Commodores and now drives a People Mover!
It was like driving a TANK!!!!!
Very luxurious though, however I lthink I'll stay with my run of the mill cars!
Patrick has been fantastic lately, he has been laughing at everyone and then last night he laughed at the kids Principal during a meeting we had!
I still can't get him to be completely comfortable in the pram though, he absolutely HATES it! I have tried changing from the 3 wheeler back to the 4 wheeler and still it doesn't work, I have to put him down while he's asleep and then quickly walk in, but usually have to carry him home cause he won't stop screaming!

Good morning... the wheels fell off last night: DH got home late and V & W started fighting and the house was a mess and I couldn't cook dinner because Niall was awake and wanting more feeds and then he ended up crying for nearly 2 hours!!! which was so unlike him! I thought of Dee all through it. DH had got his nights mixed up, he had told me the seminar was tonight... which is good actually because Niall is going to have his 4 month injections at 4pm this afternoon and no doubt he will be unsettled again tonight. Anyhow I really started feeling quite down last night... all of a sudden the weight of the world was squashing me: everything was such a humungeous effort. The feeling is still lingering this morning... I know I complain a lot about Wade and all the Melbourne Junies saw how placid he is but it's not that he throws many tantrums is just that I can't take my eyes off him without him wrecking something <-- is the main reason I find him hard... y'know he will wander past me and drag everything off the shelves/desk as he passes. Junies with just a baby: walk around your house on your knees and imagine everything within reach being broken or dropped on the floor or interfered with in some way... it's driving me nuts! Yes we raise as much as we can but you can't do that to everything; some days he takes to pushing stuff like chairs over... not in a tantrum... just because he feels like it.

Anyhow... raving now... Nic: Kelly wrote my birth story and gave me a hard copy... she asked whether I wanted a text and I said yes but we've both forgot about it. She is sooo busy that I hate to ask her but I will eventually.

Ali - I put my neck out last weekend, I was told by the pharmacy that I could use Deep heat as it was not an anti-inflam. They have a little book which says what you can and can't use while BF. I actually found hot packs worked better anyway, but I used it twice. Hope your back gets better fast, I was there last week, it sucks.

Nenny - my sister told me when her boy was crawling, she would "flash" him her boobs and he would crawl as fast as he could to her - she said it was so funny to watch!!

Jess - hello stranger! Patrick sounds like a real charachter - LOL at him with the Principal...Ally hates the pram too! i always end up carrying her, then pushing the pram with one hand and have the dog lead/dog with the other hand, and then of course both of them will do a poo! Life is such a juggleing act ...sometime I wonder how i will cope with two kids.. and you have six! don't know how you do it!

Jess: Hiya, sorry I got interrupted... looking forward to hearing more about your Mystery Shopping! Sounds very interesting, often thought of giving it a go myself. Great to hear little Patrick's in good spirits :)

Neeny: Nah, not that tiny (8-10) I'm more of a 10-12 but I'm 170cm tall so I feel okay about my weight... though of course I would like to lose just half a stone more... mainly from my hips down but it doesn't work that way hey? It'll come off my shoulders and chest first. I really should get back into swimming, it's the best exercise for my body type. Hoping that taking fast Tract will further curb my sugar cravings... In-Liven has been great for that.

sitting here crying my eyes out - just ventured down to the shops with the two kids (after a bad start to the day with screaming kids and mum anyway) and while down there rang my mum to check how dad was doing (as he had his op and first radiation yesterday) - while on the phone Benjamin was pushing the stroller round and I was trying to stop him but every time he stopped he'd start back up again. anyway the last time I told him to stop he did but then put his foot straight up on the cross bar trying to stand on it and consequently pram went flying backwards onto him - luckily Samuel was strapped in so only slipped backwards up the stroller (didn't fly out like he would have had I not had him strapped in)- neither of them were hurt- both (in fact all of us) frightened out of their wits (and the screams that go with it) and now I feel like the worst mum in the world for not watching my kids properly. to top it off had an old man stand thoeir and have a go at me for being on the phone and not looking after my kids and how irresponsible was i.

Bath - i fully empathise - iam in the same mental place at the minute - i'm so sicki of saying don't and repeating myself all day/night and dealing with the consequences of toddler not listening. and why is it dhs have to go to work and leave you wih the screaming kid instead of resolving it before they go - i'm so sick of hearing "daddy help me!!!!" - you'd think i hit my kids if you didn't know me and know that i don't i just have a boy who cries for daddy every time he doesn't get his own way
