Hi all
Finally sat down to do a proper post, I think it’s been about a week since my last one.
Mel – (Hugs) – so sorry to hear your Nan has passed on. Hope all goes well on Friday and that its more a happy celebration than sad farewell.
IK – So glad your gf early labour has stopped that must have been so scary for her. Congrats to your other friend on the arrival of Claire and good on her for avoiding the induction. Yay for Oscar’s success at the EC – I wish my Oscar would go in the toilet!!! Lol at your DP saying his Dairy farmer grandfather would have been proud of your ‘yeild’!! It’s so great that your dad is so good with oscar – my dad would be hopeless with either of mine.
Rory – The blowing in the face thing is amazing! I’d never heard of it before your post and me and DH tried it on Will when he throws an epi at nappy change time and it works! How odd! If he’s really mad it makes him more mad but at least he stops trying to roll around. Yes, my friend with 3yo and Junie triplets does have a hectic time – especially as she’s on her own courtesy of her a-hole DH who dumped her by email (he was o’seas) 2 weeks before they were born so she’s had to do everything herself. She’s such an amazing mum though and her babies and little girl are so happy, if I’m doing half as good a job with my two as she does with her four then id’ be really happy. So when im having a bad day I do think of her and think I really shouldn’t complain about anything. Love the picky of Flynn on your ticker – lovely rosey cheeks.
Bath – PMSL and ROF re Nipple cake – that is too funny. Your cakes look great on your website – especially the 40th one – yummy I’m dribbling now thinking of chocolate and strawberries. Yay at Niall standing up and not holding onto anything.
Nickel – Hi, I don’t think we’ve met as I’m relatively new. Lovely picky of Ruby on your sig.
Donna – Wow at Lachlan saying ticktock and ca – brum! That must be so cute. Will doesn’t say anything yet other than hello. Go the lamingtons! – too easy. The wheels were weightwatchers Jam biscuits glued on with jam as they were a perfect size. You should have seen the look I got from the checkout girl with my basket full of lamingtons, jelly beans, smarties, kitkats then weightwatcher biscuits – you could tell she was thinking that they were going to make such a difference after that lot!
Jess – How did you go with the house? Any luck?
Ali – How are you feeling? Hopefully you’re feeling better now the second job has finished. Poor Tori and her ‘spill’, Tiles are grear for most aspects of having kids but are so unforgiving when they fall. Oscar has a really fat lip with a cut on it that he did after a fall yesterday on the tiles. Good luck with your scan on Friday. Did you want to try and meet up this Wednesday? I completely understand if you’re not up to it yet – you must be so busy with work and preparing for your move.
Amanda – Your cake looks great. I was going to do a Timmy (from Shaun the sheep) cake as he so reminds me of Will but I think I might end up doing the one cake as Timmy is such an awkward shape! I love how you decorated your ones (both of them! – Freddo was a great idea) so might have to steal that idea or the ladybirds.
Nic – Glad you had a great time at the Premmie ball, it sounds like it was emotional too. You were saying about your playgroup mums all having the same sex babies – ditto for me – in fact everyone I know who has kids has two of the same except my SIL. Your u/s picks are great especially the second one – it’s so clear bless him.
I’ve been thinking about this time last year too. I’d finished work on May 26th so I had two weeks off with Oscar still going to daycare full time the first week so I could get some rest and do some organizing. The second week my parents arrived from the UK and Osc went down to 2 days a week at daycare. I think it was strange for my parents as they’d not seen me pregnant before and here I was huge. I was booked in for an elective c-s on the Friday (due to Osc being an emerg c/s and being told i didn’t have a choice – after since finding BB I now know he was talking out of his blahblah – grr). All was well, on the Wednesday I starting making curtains for the room that was to be Will’s as we were planning that he would go straight into his own room like Oscar did. (The layout of our house meant that with our door and their doors open we were literally only about 3m away from them both). What a waste – Will is still in with us!! On the Thursday James and I went out for this really lovely lunch at this great new place which was by the sea, I think I even had a glass of wine!!! We then went to a shopping centre just for a last quick shop when my back got so bad I couldn’t walk. I’m sure people though I was in labour as I was so close to tears. James had to get the car round to a closer entrance and pick me up – I was so glad I knew that Will was arriving the next day. I can remember getting in the car on the Friday morning to go to the hospital feeling so nervous and it being really weird that I knew I’d be holding my baby within a few hours – not quite true as they were running late so I got there at 11am and Will was born at 3.03pm. I just can’t believe that that is all a year ago. It is strange though as in some ways it feels like such a long time ago but then again so close.
I was so surprised with some of the posts on BB this week re nasty posts and people leaving. As this is my main thread and everyone is so lovely in here I hadn’t noticed anything untoward so it was abit of a shock that that stuff was going on. So sad as this is such a great site and everyone ive come across have been so nice, such a shame that a few seem to have spoilt it for others and they have felt like they have had to leave.
We’ve had a nice long weekend. Will is mostly better though I didn’t take him swimming on Saturday. I took Oscar in stead and really enjoyed it as he has such a great time and just throws himself in/under and everyone was laughing at his enthusiasm streaking across the mat and jumping headlong in. had abit of a lazy day yesterday then went out for tea at a work friends of james which we were nervous about as they don’t have kids – think lots of breakable nik-naks so low down – we virtually re-arranged their place before we left! The kids were so good though I was proud of them, especially Will as it was 9.50pm when I finally put him to bed and he had been fine all night – how come when we’re at home and I bath him 15 mins later than normal he turns into the devil!! Today was Foundation day so James was at home so we went to a park with one of his work mates who has a 2 yo and that was really nice. We took some snags and did a bbq and I was pulling the snags apart for willy and he just grabbed a hole one and ate it like it was a lollypop – so cute but such a mess!
Anyway, I’d better stop rambling as this will be a mammoth post. Hope every one had a good weekend and Monday.

Hello...
Thank you for the borthday wishes for Caitlyn I can't believe that she is one. Happy birthday to all the junies babbies that I have missed...
Okay a brief update..
She is walking well has been since mothers day... ( prior to that it was just 5 steps or so)... I will have to update a website and add some photos... She is such a little bossy britches.. We had a party or two on the weekend for her borthday. I mad a cake in teh shape of number one with some marshmellow flowers.. It was cute ( sad thing was I used the cake for both parties lazy mum...)
I am back at work so Caitlyn is in daycare full time. I think it is a good thing as she seems to be eating more finally and sleeping a bit better only 1 wake during the night mostly.. She is a light weight only 8kg so that has been stressing me, but I guess someone has to be one the lower percentiles..
I will try and catch up and post more ofetn.. I kjust wanted to say hello and thank you for the welcome backs.. Now that I am at work I might be able to post more iften.

Mel Im very sorry to hear about your Nan's passing. My condolensences to your family at this time.
Bath Just looking on your site and the Junie pics, i had a laugh at the pic with me & nix in it and his bib on, spew rag over the shoulder, ahhh what a spewey boy he was! how quickly uou forget hey, I bet this baby will be the same and i'll be back to bibs and spew rags galore! Love the pic of Oscar & Niall at Myer too!
Julie what is your website to check out the video? Nice long post btw well done!
just reading your journey before the c/s, its highly likely i will have another c/s and already been thinking about how weird it would be if i have a set date that i know im going to go in and have baby! the same sex children seems to be a lot doesnt it. My sister has 2 girls, my SIL is about to have 2 boys (still hasnt had him yet) and a few friends have same sex too.
Jess wondering also how u guys went with the house?
Ali How is Tori doing now? and yourself? Is it this Friday your ultrasound is?
Emma great that u may be able to get back in here a bit more often, look forward to seeing some new piccy's of Caitlyn as i dont think i've seen anything since she was a newborn!
Happy Birthday Samuel (Jaspen for tomorrow)
Im working from memory now, i have all the Junies birthday's written down in a folder but who knows where the heck that is!
after Cody on the 2nd was there any other bubs 3-5th?
-
Hi Ladies,
Just a quick one, just wanted to say Happy Birthday to Samuel!!
And Mel, so sorry about your nan.it doesnt matter how much you try to prepare yourself for these things it just doesnt seem to make it any easier.
Big hugs to you.
I will try to get back on later for some personals!!

The little monster is asleep...then soon his grandma will take him, but I'll have to study and not be on here, so I'm gonna be quick!
Great post, Julie, I agree! I'm glad you have been empowered by BB :) Had to laugh at your nursery preparations, when Will is still in with you - my GF who just had her baby yesterday didn't bother with a nursery this time because she did it last time and Harrison slept with them until later last year! That and she doesn't find out the sex of her babies anyway (doesn't even have ultrasounds, I'm taking a leaf out of her book for the next one!), so it's not like she is going to theme the room in a boy or girl way.
I have a dog with kennel cough and a vet appt later on. I'm waiting on an answer to see if it will affect Odin's blood donation tomorrow.
Funny story - Oscar fell asleep in the car just before when I went up to the shops, I brought him in and wanted to change his nappy. I took my chances and lay him on the change table, carefully undoing his clothes...he stayed asleep! Yay! Only to be woken up soon when we put him in MIL's car :( I hate when he goes away...but who's gonna sit my exam for me if I don't palm Oscar off? No-one! Oh, well, just gotta live with it.
Nic - good one on keeping track of the Junie dates! You know I wouldn't remember if it weren't for you :)
Em - keep dropping in! Cait sounds adorable!
Gonna eat something now while I'm free to prepare something.
-
Mel, I just wanted to say I am sorry about your nanna . I missed saying it in my last post.

Good Afternoon :) Just back from PlayGroup and lunch with some of the mums and kids afterwards... weird weather: freezing, foggy, clear, sunny, overcast all within a few hours! Dontcha love it Melb girls? LOL Keeping warm infront of the tumble drier now... baking some gingerbread men (experiment for Niall's party that I'm thinking of planning for the school holidays... it will be about 2 weeks past the actual day but I figure more kids will be able to come).... the baking will warm up the house too. Hiya Emishka, looking forward to more regular posts from you too! Loved your long post too Julie, thanks for the compliments for my cakes... might see some decorated gingerbread men on my site soon too! Hope you find that list of birthday dates Nic!!!! Pleeeease post them in here if you find them... remember how we used to have a list of our Usernames/due dates etc at the start of each Belly Buddie thread? That would come in handy now hey? Thinking of you Mel *hugs*.

Firstly Mel, I'm so sorry to hear about your nan, I'm thinking of you and I agree with Bath kids need closure to, my grandad died when I was 10 and I never got to go the funeral and I never really got to say good bye. But it's your decision on what you do for you family. I hope you are all coping.
Nic from memory Ryan's (Candy) birthday tomorrow, Aleise's (Neeny) on the 8th, Annaleise (Simone) on the 9th. I have a felling someone is on the 7th just not sure who.
BBL need to change Cody and get the boys.
hugs xoxo

Firstly, a big thankyou to you all for your kind wishes and thoughts after my nans passing. It really means alot to me.
Bath - you are so kind, thank you for the offer of looking after the girls, but I totally agree with you about the funeral. We have decided it would be a good thing for Chelsea, as we have explained to her what happened and she knows that Nana Edna has gone to heaven and this is the time to say goodbye. Melb weather is horrid! It has been so cold today, esp this morning. Now I know why I love Qld weather. Make sure you do pics of your gingerbread men, I would love to try and make them. LOL about you in front of the dryer!
Rory - such a true sentiment! Our time here is never enough.
IK - cool you got your money back on the webcam! Are you getting a new vac soon? Must be driving you nuts. Your friend and I must be in the minority by not finding out the sex of our bubs, people thought it was quite strange that I didn't for either pregnancy. I loved having my ultrasounds, it was so cool to see my little baby floating around, safe, content and having a great time! I sometimes wish there was a few more in the later stages. I don't know how you managed to change Oscars nappy and not wake him up, thats legendary LOL!!!! I could never do that with Marley. Hope the doggies are OK.
Julie - what a good post! Love the long ones, I get my coffee and read away! I can imagine it would be weird knowing when you baby was going to be born, maybe a bit more scary too! BBQ sounds good, esp snags! Pity its getting far too cold for barbies in Melb ATM!
Emma - sorry, I must have missed Caitlyn's birthday! Hope she had a lovely day, I struggle to keep up with who's birthday is when. How are you going with full time work? I am due to go back to work in 4 weeks (only 2 days a week) and am really looking forward to it.
Nic - hope you find the folder!!! I think I remember some b'days but not all of them. Maybe those that don't have them on their ticker, quickly add them so we can note them all down? I hate missing someones b'day.
Chelsea's first Tues at kinder (I changed her days ready for when I return to work) and she didn't seem to notice it was a day earlier than normal! The rabbits arrive at the kinder this afternoon, so I will no doubt here all about it this afternoon. Haven't really left the house today, too cold again! I hate this really cold weather, bring back a bit of sunshine. Clothes horse is over the ducts and dryer going too. Marley is sleeping so thinks its time for coffee and some chocolate!

Hi Emma – Happy belated birthday to Caitlyn. Lol at bossy britches and I don’t blame you for using the same cake twice! Will is only a lightweight too – 8.2kg a few weeks back. I’m just glad he’s finally got on the percentile scales with his height as he wasn’t even on them before then. Poor little chap is destined to be a shorty I think.
Nic – Website is the photobucket one – login jaffnjules, password Boddle02. Vids aren’t that exciting and probably abit long – we take them for my parents so they can see what they are like as they don’t see them very often. Found my 2nd c/s so much better than the first one even though I didn’t think that was too bad and that was an emerg. I ought to get around to doing a birth story/ debrief for them both just to get oscar’s out of my system but I was really happy about the elective with Will and the recovery was so much quicker.
IK – Hope your doggy is ok. Wow that Oscar slept through his nappy change = can’t imagine that happening in this house!
Bath – Looking forward to seeing the decorated gingerbread men.
Mel – Glad you liked the long post! I wondered if anyone would bother as it was such a monster! No doubt it will be all about rabbits in your house for quite a time to come! Wish I had some chocky in the house! I personally think you are doing the right thing taking the girls to your nan’s funeral. I wasn’t allowed to go to my grandpa’s when I was 7 and I still feel abit ‘robbed’ that I wasn’t allowed to say bye the same way everyone else was.
Had my walking group this morning which was really nice. It was so cold to start off with so I loved rugging both kidlets up. Everyone has a giggle about it when I turn up with them in fleecy stuff and blankets as it’s not really THAT cold but these 2 were born in Townsville so are used to warmth plus they both have the colds still so I don’t want them getting any worse. By the time we’re finished it’s quite warm so Oscar’s coat can come off as he’s running around the park but the wind was still abit chilly. I love it as this is our first winter in 5 years – the first 6 months of Oscar’s life he was just in a singlet and nappy so love finally being able to put them in clothes. Right I’ll stop rambling on now as don’t want to create another monster!!
Hope you're all having a great day

Confession time: My gingerbread people are from a packet mix!!! They are finished and iced (one a bit cheeky:p ) photographed and on my Photobucket site. The box, the shaped cutter and the icing tube are in the photo too so if you want to try it you will know what to look for on the supermarket shelf. Now that I have done the tests I'm going to let Wade and Verity ice the rest when she gets home from school.... better go deal with the mess now and think about cooking some "growing food" (dinner) LOL
-
LMAO Bath - you are too funny! The middle one will definitely be Niall's favourite.
-
Hehe... if he can grab it off DH who will no doubt have his eyes on it! ;) Going to check out your site now too Julie :)
-
Ok I remembered who was on the 7th Alexander (Gabysmum).
Well Cody bit me yesterday and it just wasn't a bite it was a bite and yank his head back, boy I was not happy. But I think he learnt his lesson as he hasn't done it since, when he did it he wasn't allowed any more boobie so I will have to wait and see if he does it again.
Hello to everyone Mel and Julie, wow on your large posts, Bath gingerbread men and lady look great.
hugs xoxo
-
OOWWWWWWWW Amanda - that sounds so sore. mmm i think i better shut up as i seem to be hogging the Junies thread with my mammoth posts!
Bath - showed my DH your gingerbread picky he laughed but wanted to know where the chaps bits were! Typical! I did point out that these were for the kids! I'm going to look out for the packs so i can make some too but i think with DH suggestions they might become x-rated and not for the kids!!
-
Julie - you were right! I have been hearing all about rabbits tonight! They have a mummy rabbit and 6 babies who were only born 2 days ago so they are all pink and Chelsea told me they were sleeping and can't come out until they grow fur! You do well to go out walking in the cold, I just have no motivation in this weather. Must feel strange to have a winter after living in such tropical conditions. I love Qld weather, I hate the cold.
Bath - I love the gingerbread people!!! They look fantastic, esp the cheeky one!! Which supermarket did you get them at? I shop at Safeway and can't recall seeing them. I have already added them to my shopping list. Chelsea will love to decorate them. Good activity to do on a rainy day.
Amanda - oooooh, no good!!!! That must hurt like hell.
Last week I made Marley some tuna, mashed potate and rice balls, rolled in breadcrumbs and fried. She went nuts over them, scoffed them! Today I go to extra trouble and put creamed corn, mashed sweet potato and grated carrot and zucchini. They look even better than the first lot. She took one mouthful and screwed up her face and spat them out!!!!! Whats going on there??? I was so annoyed. She picked at them for a bit longer but wasn't really that keen. Might have to go back to the basics again. She hates been spoon fed, so I try to give her finger food at all meals now and with her allergies, her diet is pretty boring. Things we do.....:)
-
Julie, I take my hat off to you with that post - it was great cause it served as a summary of so many goings on!
Better be quick, tho - its really late. All is well with me - Flynnie is being Osama Bin Flynn (aka The Terrorist, as he is known ATM) for his random acts of waking in the middle of the night and crying. Shouldn't complain, because he is an all round easy kid most of the time. I have been so worried about number two being a horror that it was nice to have the thought last night that maybe Flynn is our "difficult" child! (he's never been a great sleeper.....)
Amanda you are an ace with remembering birthdays!! and nice to see you Emishka:)
well, ciao for now, bellas
