Hey girls, finally a decent post from me! I should be upstairs cleaning (we've all been sick for a week and the place is looking real rough!) but it is so much nicer to be down here talking you you all
Bath, Dubai sounds great! It will be a great time in your lives to go - only bummer I can think of would be losing your lovely house! Maybe the owners would still offer to sell it to you when you got back?
7th, I know the feeling about being broke - we hit that stage a few months ago, but a GF of mine (who works at the ANZ, incidentally!) gave me the bright idea of transferring my credit card debt to a 6 months interest free deal with another bank, which i did, and now we are a bit more financial till July also, as we too are waiting for tax time. I will be able to pay our cc off (but I will keep the extra $20,000 the other bank offered, sitting there, for emergencies! can you believe that credit limit!!) and start putting $$ away for Little One's birth and my "confinement".
Amanda, hope the kids stay nice for ya
Plonkee, LOL at "Will looks extra battered today " - makes me think of some little Linus character that always looks a bit rough aroung the edges but is particularly shabby ATM! Thanks for the three cheers on Flynn sleeping through the other day, but unfortunately our little Terrorist it back to his old night-waking tricks again though, which is a bummer.
And Mel, I love that poem too! I will have to remember that one when I come home from work and DH and Flynn have trashed the place LOL! I can't be too hard - DH is about a month off finishing his masters (THANK GOD!!) and he and Flynn have the best time together, as the pics on our website attest.
IK, bummer about the exam - try not to stress before you get your results tho, you might be surprised
Nickers, I feel so sorry for both you and Nixon, I know how awful it is when they are sick And Ali I do how your ms goes away soon! Gosh it is a bummer being tired and sick and pregnant, ain't it?
Now I know Nickel posted recently, as did Emishka and Dee (congrats again, honey!!) - as Ali said it is so nice to see you all in here again.
News with us? Well as mentioned above the Terrorist is waking up at night again, I think it is a combo of overtired (we have experimented with late nights - sometimes 8 or 9pm) and sore teeth (back molars coming through, we think) and the beginnings of an imagination. The night light seems to help but sometimes he seems really scared, rather than just annoyed.
I spent this morning at a Law Institute meeting, and Flynn was a little lamb for the whole 2 hours, I was so pleased and proud of him. I then bought myself some maternity wear - I nearly died at the price ($310) but I got a good pair of Ripe pants (I cheked out the stuff at Target and KMart but none of it looked as "nice" as the Ripe pants I bought last time, which are still going great guns) as well as a black jumper top, a black skin-tight top and a lovely formal black lace dress - we have a wedding to go to in September and I just know that between this pregnancy and the next I will have a few formal dos to go to. I had one the other night at the Old Melbourne Gaol (lovely place but bloody cold in June!!) and squeezed into a non-pg dress, but realised that was my last time I could wear that one.
Flynnie and I went grocery shopping in the arvo and I made a nice laksa for dinner with Aldi prawns - $9 for 500 grams! I bit of an exxy meal but we have eaten so many curried snag casseroles lately I needed something a little lush.
Better go - I am catching up with mates for yum cha tomorrow and them a GF is down from Sydney and holding arvo tea at her mums, so tomorrow should be a good day too.
