Not happy.... just went to all the effort of switching over to the lap top to load the piccy and now I can't find the vital cord to conect the camera to the 'pute. verity will know where it is... she uses the same cord to upload songs onto her mp3 player... don't you just hate not knowing where things are (mums of older children/ *grrrrrrr*)
Oh and rory: you left that cute little bib behind... Wade just found it on the floor... he said "Look mum! Rory forgot this! It's ours now!!!" ROFL I replied "no darl, it's little Flynnie's, we'll give it to Rory maybe on friday". I was thinking of going into melb central (Mel/Maya) if you'd like to join us :)
-
OG Bath I so hear you on that one, and of course they think they own it after using it once, lol. Grrrrrr I hate not having the right cord, I put things in their place and sticky fingers comes along uses them and does she put them back nooooo. Usually she leaves them down and little sticky fingers comes along and breaks them.
OK I was on the phone a little while ago and Nathan was crying in his cot and since itwas an important call I ignored him for a while, Anyway got off the phone and as I got to mybedroom door I could smell poo poo, thought ohhh yay as I opened the door and here is Nathan with his pants and nappy off, poo smeared all over himself and the cot and on my bed since the cot id right next to the bed, JUST GREAT,Grrrrr AAaarrrggghhh lol. So I stripped off his top layers and put him in my shower to wash off/ scrub. Redressed him and put him in the lounge, he was still screaming, he wanted booby. I then stripped his cot and my bed and then washed the cot and sprayed and wipe disinfectant all over it, oh and on the wall as well. It was bad. Anyway Nathan is getting his on room in my WIR his very own airy alcove where he is still only two steps away and can see me in bed. I'm reclaiming my bedroom, I've had enough poo and spew on my bed/ carpet. walls. He has been evicted. I'll take some photos when I have it sorted and charge my batteries for the camera.

Hey there,
Just a quick one, lachlan has just gone to sleep and i dont have much time, he slept for nearly 2 hours this morning (so did i) so i havent done anything today.
Oh dee, i must admit i had a bit of a giggle when i read that but i feel for you. Lachlan has only just learned how to take his nappies off and i have been fortunate enough to not have him do it after a poo (yet!!)
Ali - I just dont know what to suggest but hey, if you find something that works let me know, i am having the same problem. Lachlan was up between 1.30 - 3 this morning and im sooooo tired. My DH wont get up and do a shift!
Nickers - I agree with everyone else, tell your neighbours, at least give them the opportunity to wait and see what happens or find something else. Congratulations!!!
Julie - I hope you are all feeling better soon. I cant imagine a night that bad, i have had some horror nights but that sounds terrible. One thing i am going to do after reading your story is go out and buy some more cot sheets, i alternate between 2 sets!
Well, guys, im going to go and take the washing off the line, do some ironing, vacuum, mop and dust and if i have time sit down for a cup of tea!!
-
oh dee! i must admit i had a chuckle at your expense too but oh no! i fear the day of Nixon doing a smearing poo episode! he did a poo on the bathroom floor last week i had striped him ready for his bath and heard him grunt, looked down and a poo was on its way out lol!
Thanks guys, took your advise and i have just gotten off the ph to my melb neighbour. she was totally ok with it, well prob not but over the ph to me she was. i kept appologising and she really understands where we are coming from. So i really hope they find somewhere to live real soon, i still feel terrible for them but much releived now they know. Now its just fingers crossed these buyers go through! They have paid $1000 holding fee and deposit due next tues.
Yayyyy for us! i think i deserve to have a glass of bubbly when i get home!
-
I think you deserve a glass too! Good on you for jumping straight on the phone, now you won't lose sleep worrying! Oh and Good Boy Nixon doing a poo BEFORE getting in the bath! Nothing worse than a floater! And Dee that must have been the last straw! I agree, time to reclaim your bedroom... if he can still see you then he should be right.... our nursery/main bedroom are directly across the foyer... Niall can watch me get into bed if I leave the wide double doors open. Oh and speaking of Niall: after sleeping all night until 8.30am I put him down after rrory left just before noon and HE IS STILL ASLEEP!!! must be the weather. He will be nice and rested for our night out tonight: DH just emailed me to make sure that i have the kids ready for 6pm... he has booked a restaurant which we can order our dinner from home on the phone and it will be ready to serve as soon as we arrive! It's a local Indian restuarant. I'm so excited... it's been aaaages since we've eaten out as a family... and at least the kids are usually well behaved... so looking forward!
ETA: Julie: How's Oscar? Has he escaped the gastro for certain? Isn't it weird when something serious goes around and one child avoids it totally... happened with me and chickpox: Verity seemed to avoid it altogether.
-
Ohhh Bath that sounds fabulous, sooo jealous, I'd love some yummy restuarant food.
Yeah I'm laughing at my boy's incident now, lol
But he's still evicted, lol
Nic I think you deserve one babe. One is not harmful in anyway so go for it.

Tali – Good luck with the block – sounds a great size, I am very envious (our block is only 436m and that’s classed as quite large where we are!!!). hope the finance comes through for you and hope you had a good time at the cairns show.
Dee – Thanks for the hug, glen20 etc! Will try the red codial next time (hopefully there won’t be a next time but I bet there will be). Sorry to hear about your super-poo episode – nightmare! I did have a teeny weeny giggle but have been abit too close to lots of poo myself recently so I know its not funny at the time. Good on you for claiming your room back – we have been tempted to do same but would need to put Will in the laundry for that to happen which is other end of house so no-go – will just have to wait until new house is finished.
Ali – You must be so tired after a night like that, poor you. I’ve not experienced that (yet) so I can’t think of any useful advice, just hope you get a good nights sleep soon.
Nic – That’s fab about the offer on your house, sounds like it will sort you out completely. It’s good you rang your neighbour and told her quick – it must feel nice not to be stressing about having to make that call now. Crack that bubbly out!
Bath – hope you find your cord for your lap top – how frustrating. Have a great time out for your Indian tonight – sounds good that you can order from home and it be ready when you arrive so you don’t have to entertain them for 30 minutes when you get there. Oscar is fine, bouncing everywhere as normal and hasn’t been affected at all (touch-wood). I am pretty certain he would have come down with it by now if he was going to but am prepared to eat my words! Good on Verity for avoiding the chicken pox – am really not looking forward to that running through the house although Osc is vax against it and Will will be in another 5 months so hopefully won’t be too bad.
Donna – poor you too! That is such a long time to be up in the night, you must be exhausted. Glad you got more cot sheets – definitely recommended, we have 5 sets between 2 kids which is normally loads but when one is sick – no way hosey! (sp). Hope you get your house work done and have time for a rest.
James has gone to work this afternoon – would have gone this morning but the reticulation started leaking and it’s been plumbed direct into the mains so no way to switch it off. Didn’t want to waste water so had to ring landlord and lady – the came over to fix and were horrified by the weeds in the front and back garden and called it disgusting – it’s not that bad! Grass is short and neat but no we haven’t done anything about weeds for along while with james being away. Its so low down on our list of priorities but I guess we’ll try and sort it over the weekend – won’t take much as like I said they aren’t that bad, it just doesn’t look like a show-home garden like they were expecting. Oscar still more than fine, I’m fine just a little wobbly and Will seems fine too but just a little Velcro-ey but that’s to be expected so all good here now – phew!
Hope you’re all having a good day
Julie x

Julie - you poor thing, what a *****ty weekend you've had. So glad to hear its all turning around. Sounds like Oscar has a strong immune system if he managed to avoid it all. I only have a couple of cot sheet too, might have to stock up on a few more. Regarding the figurine, I will go buy another one and Chelsea told me she wont go near them anymore. Don't worry about the copyright, go for it girl! Me and a couple of friends wont to go into business selling those type of canvases for kids rooms. We were thinking of having a couple of designs for each gender. The ones I have seen on the net are sooo expensive, our will be much more affordable. Yeah on the house front, it will be built before you know it! My other reason for getting to work early (apart from the coffee and chat with my friend) is to get a carpark. It is ridiculous, if you don't get there early, there are no spots and you spend ages driving around.
Tali - fingers crossed about your block of land, it sounds like a decent size. Have fun at the show, I bet it lovely and sunny in cairns today? It only got to 9 yesterday (far too cold!!!).
Ali - you must be stuffed! Hope you find something that works soon. Might be the new environment. I moved Marleys cot once and she wouldn't sleep, moved it back and she was fine.
Bath - is it your birthday today? If it is a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, hugs! Would that be why you are heading out tonight - have a wonderful time. Family dinners out are such fun esp when the kids behave themselves. Enjoy! Wade is such a thoughtful little man and I liked the idea of keeping whatever any one leaves behind, clever lol!!!
Dee - sorry, little bit of giggling here too!!! I can understand why the eviction. I used to have to use sticky tape on Chelsea's nappies as she always pulled them off. I then had to use scissors to cut them off her as I used so much tape. You might have to get out the sticky tape lol!!!
Nic - congratulations, I'm sure the sale will go through. Things are all happening now for you. Glad the talk with the neighbours went well, I would totally understand if it was me. They would prob do the same thing if the roles were reversed. That bubbly is going to taste so good - enjoy your celebrations, well deserved. PML about the poo incident, why is it that poo stories always make us laugh???
Donna - I have been hibernating inside too today, it far too cold to go outside! I've done a bit of housework but I really can't get motivated today, thankfully the house was still clean from Monday.
Maya - I saw snow at Ferny Creek general store on the news and looked like quite a bit of it. How is it at your place, did you get any snow?
The sun is finally out here, but it is still so cold. Heaters have been raging since this morning. Kids have been really good today considering they have been cooped up all day. Chelsea did some painting this morning and we made jelly (for dessert tonight) and crepes for atea! Just had mine with a cuppa and they were delicious. My baby brother (he is 12 years younger than me) is coming for dinner tonight (chicken curry) and I need to get work stuff organised for tomorrow. DH is home tomorrow so I don't need to get the kids stuff ready. This will make my morning a lot easier.
Hope everyone is having a good day :)
-
Hi Mel - we posted at the same time. Yummy for the crepes could go one now! Sounds like you're having a good day.
Julie x
ETA - :confetti: Happy birthday Bath! :confetti:
-
About to head out to see my dad and get a new bin (long story), but had my SIL over before for a couple of hours with my niece.
Good one, Nic! You can breathe easy for now :)
Dee - how funny about the poo! At home Oscar is in folded terries with covers on, so it will be quite a while before he figures out how to get out of those! At night he is in sposies, but he doesn't do poo overnight and sleeps soundly enough to leave his nappies alone...for now...
Bath - happy birthday!!
Mel - Can you do some gender neutral canvases, too???? You have inspired me, for sure! I nearly got to clean my rusty laptop keyboard today but Oscar woke up :) When I do that I will allow myself the luxury of taking up all the hems on jeans, all the sewing machine mending that needs doing, and THEN I will get out my paints when I'm not studying!
Better go, I'm being harrassed...
-
Hiya Julie :) Hey don't you mind about those weeds! It's winter and with all the rain it's just impossible to keep up with it with 2 littlies. Pffft to them! Our landlady doesn't mind weeds just as long as her precious rose hedge out the front is still alive.. it's over 50years old... I've just given it it's winter pruning. Why don't you go buy some cheap plants that will suit the garden so next time she comes around you can say that yes, there are weeds, but you have bought a nice (whatever) for the garden. My landlady was so thrilled by the succulent garden I planted under the date palm we have here that I swear she didn't feel it was right to comment about the length of the lawn which was about 40cm in some places but we have a huge 1/4 acre block... soooo hard to keep under control!
Hi Mel :) I never got around to checking out the paintings in Marley's room when I was over... i'll have to check online... I'm quite envious of having the time/energy to be creative... I just can't seem to get into that mind-set... I'm such a highly strung person in that regard LOL I remember loving my time at uni for that reason... total absorbtion in creativity: bliss. ok...here's me checking them out...i meant to say what i really liked about your paintings was that they have been placed so well in your home with that gorgeous feature wall in plum etc. BBL phone ...back: anyhow I think that a good painting can look even better in the right surroundings, maybe that's why I don't attempt it: the surrounding here (chaotic mess) wouldn't do them justice anyhow!
-
Ohhh Happy Birthday Bath.:confetti: Both my sister's are July Babies (6th and 17th)
 Ali it hard being pregnant and still having to cope with a baby/ toddler. I hope you get some good sleep tonight. Breeze was about 15 months old when I was pg with maky and so sick and tired, working full time shift work anyway there were a few occassions that I barracaided(sp) ourselves, her and I in her bedroom, turned on the story tape and slept, some might think that's bad but you got to get it if and when you can. We were safe in there together.
Okay this boys about finished and I really need to go back to sleep,
Night all
catch you tomorrow
Dee

Happy Birthday Bath.
Well here it is another freezing day in Rutherglen and I'm finally back online!
We bought one of those i-com computers from Target and have finally set it up.
Hello to everyone and thanks for all the support that you all have given me over the past couple of months. My life is finally starting to turn around, I joined up for my Doula course last night and I'm starting to feel more confident about changing my life.
Pat is now cruising the furniture but has no intentions about taking that first clear step without falling on his face.He stands up alot by himself but grabs onto you as soon as he realises. As for sleeping, Pat doesn't sleep for more than 1 hour and a half at night, so every couple of hours I'm awake!
Better go and get Bella and Pat ready to go shopping.
-
Jess its so good to hear from you again :) Glad things are looking up :)
(ETA: One of my baby's EDDs is your birthday!)
-
HEllo Everyone..
I have been lurking and reading away but thought that it would be time to catch up and write properly...
Happy birthday Bath.. Hope you have a nice day and that diner out went well last night..
Nic yeah for the offer on your house... Fingers crossed it all goes through smoothly.
Dee your poo story had me laughing , glad Caitlyn has not worked out how to take her nappy off yet..
Okay better get back to work.. ( It is darn cold here in Canberra too..)
-
Happy Birthday Bath for yesterday!
Mel- Yes Nixon was getting up to no good when he was being quiet the other day, we were at my mums house, he opened the cuboard that has the photo albums in it (all the lovely creative memories she spends hours on) fortunatley for me he didnt open the albums and just pulled the names off the side of them!
Hi Jess- good luck with your doula class im sure you'll do really well
Emma- its been FREEZING in canberra! how do u stay warm lol
about to uload a new belly pic and a few more of Nixon to their sites.
-
Good morning Girls,
Well I did the whole Toy sale thing this morning, couldn't help myself, lol Went early and got everything I wanted, It was run really well, fast lines and great service.
Big hugs  and waves to old familiar faces great to see you Jess and Emma. Glad things are going great, would be great to see more of you around.
Nic...About to check out your new shots
Weather
OMG it has been freezing here, going down below 0C at night Last night apparently was warmer at 3.2C so I can feel your cold, Glad my house is realively warm compared to outside.
-
Geez, Dee, I don't even think it was that cold up here!! Reminds me of when I went to Honduras in 2003 and you think I could find a blanket on the Caribbean island I was on, for love or money? No...normally there is NO need for blankets because it never got as cold as it did the one and only time I get to wake up and say to myself "wow, I'm in the Caribbean"!! But I hope you have a stash of blankets!
Great to read from you Emma!!
Jess - wow, sounds really promising :) Change always starts in your head and heart  I can just see you channeling all your nurturing into being a doula when the kids have all left home, too! Meanwhile, I feel that there is plenty of nurturing in you to look after your brood AND expectant mummies, too.
My dad came round to look after Oscar here while I went out to an appointment and he did really well. Things are looking up for him now that he is officially retired.
I'm going to attempt an osteo appt soon and hope like hell that Oscar falls asleep in the car on the way and stays asleep.
I've just been drinking a Fair Trade hot chocolate that I bought yesterday ($16!!)...it's very worth it! It's got chilli and cinnamon, and it's awesome. There I was thinking 'geez, this is a little picante', and it was having a great effect, then I got to near the bottom and realised that some of it didn't even dissolve...so there's a lot more picante (I'm using the spanish spelling, cos that's the word I have in my head - using more spanish with Oscar has me thinking in Spanglish!) where that came from in my mug! So, if you see a Fair Trade drinking chocky that matches this description, it's worth taking home and drinking when the kids have gone to bed...I reckon it would work as an aphrodisiac ;)
Mel - how's work, first week back into semester? I was at Clayton earlier and the market was on...next time I'm gonna buy me another hat that I have my eye on, if it's still there. I love the market.
Bath - how was dinner last night?
Nic - how was it waking up to this new reality about the house and the rental? Did you have to remind yourself that it was real?
Julie - do you still have velcro baby?
Uh oh, I hear noises in the kitchen, need to supervise...
-
Lol Maya, mmmmmmmm the carribean geez I hope we go, Yeah it does get cold up her just not for as long as south as you guys are. We have had many many nights where it has gone below 5C at night, days have been lovely but we haven't seen above 20C in a while now. It is 15.6C right now and windy. Apparently we have warm weather coming. It's so different to North Qld and even Central Qld. Can't wait to thaw out, lol. Our house isn't fully Air con'd only the one reverse cycle split in the lounge. The kids and I just have double blankets at the moment and socks, lol.
worth taking home and drinking when the kids have gone to bed...I reckon it would work as an aphrodisiac hehehehe no good to me, lol
-
Hi girls :) Just briefly: last night was ace! All went to plan, ordered our meal before we left arrived 15 minutes later, waiter and owner greeted us as we arrived and our meal was on the table less than 5 minutes after that. Our booking was at 6.30pm and there was only 1 other small group there. Our kids were perfect angels :) They all like spicey food but we ordered only mild dishes (Indian). DH and I had a glass of wine and almost had enough calm to smile at each other across the table before Wade asking for a sip! Niall loved the naan bread and made a huge mess with the papadums but we left a large tip to say "sorry and thankyou" for the great service. Wade learned how to allow the waiter to place a napkin over him and Verity's company was also good as she went into "adult" mode. DH and i said we could definately do it more often. Who knows, if we go o/s there could be public dining almost daily until we establish a proper kitchen... so this kinda makes me feel ok about that... still, kids can change, and I don't expect them to be as good every time... but it certainly was a lovely part of my b'day gift to be so proud of them :)
back after i fetch another snack for Wade, and put the kettle on.
-
Glad your night went well Bath!
I am planning a night out for my Mum and Dad's Anniversary when they come back from Queensland in about 2 weeks time, but I'm not game enough to take all 6 kids out just yet! They will be in Euroa at my Aunts place and we'll let them have a little party just for them here at home.
Rory- I noticed that when you first mentioned it! Wow, I might have a baby born on my birthday...how cool is that!
Dee- How's it going without DH there? I bet you miss him terribly. Can he take my hubby next time he goes away? I am getting sick and tired of his mood swings!
-
Maya - yes, I will be doing gender neutral canvases. I never found out the sex of either baby so I am sure there are more people out there like me (such as Rory lol!!!). Hopefully you might get arty once semester is over. Work is wonderful, love being back. Semester has started and so far so good. Still entering plenty of results as lots of our units run really close to the end of semester so still lots to do! I love the Clayton markets they have such good stuff and not expensive. We have ones at the hospital but they have different stall holders each Thursday and some a bit crappy! Love the sound of the hot chocolate, apparently chilli helps bring out the choc flavour - at $16 it would have to be used as special treat only lol!
Bath - glad you like my artwork (I take you comments very seriously coming from an expert), I really love doing them and its my de-stressing time. I usually do them when kids are asleep and DH at work. Nothing better to do lol! So glad you had such a nice birthday dinner. You should be very proud of your kids, they sound like they had a good time too. Wade is so grown up letting the waiter put the napkin on him and glad Niall loved the Naan bread (well it is delicious!) and pappadums. Marley likes them too they just make an awful mess.
Nic - I am sure Nixon would have had lots of fun with Nana's photos lol! Going to check out your pics now.
Dee - well done on the toy sale! I have circled what I want to get but I am sure I will miss out on stuff as I can't go till Sunday. I really want to get Chelsea the Fisher Price camera (she is a budding photographer!) and I bet that goes quickly. You are nearly as cold as us which means you guys must be freezing!
Jess - great to hear from you and glad things are going well for you. Hope the doula course goes well for you. My GF has completed her course and had her first client a few months back and she said is was amazing. She has her first paying client in March. I am sure after being a mum to 6, you will be able to impart alot of wisdom to these new mums.
Emishka - us Melburnians shouldn't complain about the weather, Canberra is heaps colder. Did you get snow too?
Work today. Had a really good productive day and feel like I know things again. Doesn't even feel like I have been away for so long. Went to visit a BB GF in hospital tonight and see her little boy. He is just adorable and so perfect. The shape of his head, his skin, everything looks so perfect. Got me very clucky I must say. Got to have a good long cuddle which was lovely. I stayed past visiting hours and snuck out only to find they had locked the carpark! I had to buzz to get back in and ask the security guard how to get to my car. Finally got to my car and thankfully had enough coins in my purse to pay - otherwise I would have been running back to maternity ward to scab some money!!!! Finally made it home, starving as I had no dinner. Oh well, coffee and a chocolate might have to do. I missed my girls today as I didn't see them for very long this morning, hopefully more time to spend with them tomorrow.
-
Morning all,
Well I am pleased to announce that sanity and order have returned to my household. I switched Tori back to 2 day sleeps and a later bed time and she has returned to sleeping through the night, she went down at 9 last night and is still asleep now just after 6, which is much more acceptable than wanting to get up to play at 3 am.
DH and I were going to go out for dinner this weekend and have SIL come over and baby sit, but we have decided that our hearts arent really in it and so SIL is coming over for takeaway indian instead and maybe bringing her new boyfriend............woohoo I cant wait to meet him.
Jess- Great to hear from you again, looks like things are all coming together for you. Sometimes, like I have said before, all things happen for a reason and maybe having to move towns, even though it seemed a pain at the time, has worked out for you. Good luck with your course.
Bath- I hoep you had a wonderful birthday. How nice to have a nice family dinner out. I really like the idea of ringing your order through before you arrive, so you dont have to entertain the kids for ages while waiting for your food, especially when they are hungry.
Mel- I had a sticky at your artwork, it is really good. My MIL is a bit of an artist as well and she painted a pic for Tori when she was born, I will have to take a picture of it and put it up on her site (along with a mountain of others I have been meaning to upload)
Nic- maybe Nixon was just getting in touch with his creative side rather getting up to mischeif with the photos! Tori is obsessed with photos at the moment and always wants to be picked up so she can look at pictures on the wall. I am going to get one of those cheap plastic photo albums and fill it with pictures of family and friends for her.
Anyway I must go, I may even get my mornign coffee in before the rest of the household wakes up.
-
Morning Girls,
Everyone is too cold and busy to post, lol
Ali that's fantastic, I'm so glad she slept for you, thats a great idea about the photos. Nathan obsesses over my screen saver as it flicks through our albums, lol so funny when they recognise people hey.
Nathan doesn't shut up he is constantly babbling, he is so intense to at times with his babbling like he really wants me to know something.
Well I"m going off to the shops this morning. DD1 drove me insane this morning with getting ready for school she had an early Band rehearsal (7.45am)and fart ars ed around, I seriously wanted to chock her. She had an hour the have breakie, get dressed and get in the car, How hard is it. At 7.50am I just lost it with her. I was yelling at her in the end. Not good, not good at all.
-
Nevermind Dee... I have days like that (wanting to 'clock' and yelling)... all you can do is reflect on what pushed your buttons and work out a way of making the child (if they are old enough) deal with the fallout more than yourself. Also debriefing here in BB has been good for my temper. Cailin had a good thread about it last year where i confessed my sins LOL and ever since i have thought about that thread and Cailin's words of encouragement and i haven't gone over the top as bad since. Although having said that Wade kicked Niall in the face with his Doc Marten shoed foot this morning as I was dressing him, on purpose, and I nearly cracked it big time! Yes, i yelled once but then I took a deep breath, picked Niall up, left the room. I returned 5 mins later to finish the job. Wade is still a bit young to have priviledges removed etc but the fallout for him when he hurts Niall is that Niall instantly gets my one-on-one attention and Wade gets none until he calms down. If Verity acts out of line I have more scope LOL She gets herself to school each day by walking so she never wastes any time "fart @rsing" around LOL . If she dawdles then she's late and she has to explain to her teachers, it's got nothing to do with me. Maybe I'm too much of a dragon mummy but if Verity needed to be somewhere and she was dependent on me getting her there, and she dawdled I just wouldn't take her. I'd say "be ready by 7.30am and I'll take you... if you're not ready then tough". Verity doesn't have time management issues. Her biggest issue is talking back rudely... haven't worked out what to do about that yet. Maybe it's because I get snappy myself... I'm working on it! Anyhow, every day starts a fresh, confess your sins and move on i say ;)
Gotta help Niall with his brekkie...
-
Well, this is the last silly week in our lives for a while. You might remember me telling you ladies that Kate is making her First Communion/Confirmation soon... well its next Sunday!!!!! So this weekend its a trip to Euroa to receive her "Lords Prayer', then next Thursday for her practise and then the big day. Its such a rush atm....better go and get the other kids dressed.
-
good morning Junie's
Mel- just looked through your artwork and WOW! I love it, seriously, i was trying to pick out my fav which i found difficult but i think it's the geometric one! I would seriously buy them off you!
Ali- so glad to hear Tori slept through the night again, maybe it was just her teeth?
And i agree thats a great idea about making up an album for kids to look through. I should do that with all the left over pics i have and dont use in my creative memories stuff.
Jess- good luck with Kate's confirmation you'll have to post some pics after it!
Target sale- remember i told you whent he kmart sale come on my sister went at midnight and got half of my xmas stuff for me! well she also went to the target sae, got there at 5am and said it was much better at that time there was No one there!
i told her if there was anything she wanted me to get her girls for xmas she could get, so she did! So she has pretty much done most of my xmas shopping hehe
I went to Pumkin Patch yesterday and bought a few more items on sale for nephew/neices and my boys. All i have left is adults now all children are done as well as a few bdays in Oct & Nov!
Wasnt sure if Nixon is coming down with something again or just new teeth. Yesterday i had 2 exploding nappies that went through his clothing. One was while at a gf's lovely! Thankfully i had spare clothing but not for me and it seeped through onto my pants ewwwww. he was just agrivated most of the day only ate half of his breakie and hardly any dinner. He seemed ok when i left for work thismorning so hopefully he is not getting sick again. He has had enough in the last 3months to last him for the rest of the year i think!
Tomorrow we get the keys to the new place and start moving yay! well i wont really be doing anything tomorrow i have a tup party at 1pm and girls night later on. But DH has my dad BIL and mate coming to help and will just be transporting things anyway and getting back yard ready for dogs. I'll spend Sunday there starting to unpack.
I might be offline for a while as we will have to set up a phone ad internet connection once in there, but i'll jump on next week at work and let you all know how things are going.
Have a great weekend everyone

She is really excited Dee. Her dress was made for her and we should receive it early next week, I'm at my wits end trying to figure out what I should do with her hair! She has shoulder length curly hair and I have no idea what to do with it! Any ideas????

hi all,
The cairns show was really good the kids behaved really well and yes it has been nice up here about 25 but believe it or not thats cold up here and we are all walking around with jeans and jumpers on, today at playgroup one lady was in her tracksuit with wooly socks, I know we dont know what real cold is. dad told me it was snowing where i grow up so it must be cold down there as it doesnt snow that oftern. While I was at the show my GF went into labor so I had to go and pick her boys up from school she had a girl and is doing very well.
we are still waiting on the land well not really just waiting on my DH to come home so we can go back to bank and sign papers. the lady selling the land said that she is happy to wait for him to come back, so now we just have to hope that she keeps her word, as I offered to give a holding depost but she said not to worrie about it and just to wait for DH she is about 80 so we hope that she wont do us over. I think I will be grey by the time all this is over but they use to own all this land in cairn ( old cane farm ) and this is the last of the blocks and she said she only wants people who are planning on living in the houses and not investors.
Well lazy leg still isn't walking I'm telling you this is almost as bad as waiting for the baby to come as everytime I speak to someone thay alway ask is she walking yet my dad is convinced all she needs to walk is her grandad and she would walk so i told him he is free to come out of the icy cold and visit and teach her to walk.
well better go as I can hear kai
hope you are all rugged up and have a great weekend

Jess- My suggestion for Kate's hair would be to part it into about 8 sections on top and twist it back and then pin it in place with bobby pins. Then if you want lift the rest of it up to the middle of the head and pin in place if that makes any sense. I ave quite curly hair and when it is longer that is what I do with it. If I can find a pic I will email it to you.

Ali - glad to hear Tori has her sleep pattern back. You must feel relieved. Enjoy your night in, sometimes those nights are much more fun. Would love to see your MIL work, I'm not professional by any means, just love doing it. I admire people who can really paint!
Dee - is this what I have to look forward too lol!!! Do girls naturally take longer to get moving. Its pretty good hear at the moment, if the TV is off things happen much faster and we can leave on time. But to be honest, its usually me running late (DH would be rubbing his hands together if he read that lol!!!)
Bath - BB is good for the soul! Confess away! Poor Niall, bet that would have hurt him. I have been trying to follow your advice about looking after the injured first, then heading back to the perpetrator! It does work, Chelsea gets quite put out if I ignore her. I hope Niall is ok. I must admit, I yell sometimes esp if its something really bad. Your philosophy with Verity sounds great, not dragon mummy, smart mummy!
Nic - thanks! When you get your own place, I will make something for you just tell me what colour scheme you have. You are doing so well with your Xmas shopping but wise to do it now rather than after Powow is born and you have to shop with 2 kids - not a good idea! Hope Nixon is feeling better today, you don't need anymore illnesses! Good luck with the move, can't wait to hear how you get settled.
Tali - 25! How divine, funny how they think its cold. They would really freeze down here. Glad the show went well and how exciting about your friend having her baby. I have a lazy legs too, loves walking around furniture but won't go it alone!
Jess - Chelsea has similiar hair, shoulder length, curly. I like pulling it up into a small pony tail toward the crown area and then pulling a few pieces out above the ear. Then tying a pretty ribbon in it that will hang down with the rest of her hair. Whatever you decide, I'm sure she will look beautiful.
What a day I've had today! MIL rang last night saying she was taking me out for lunch! She has never done this before. She goes to this native nursery in Mt Evelyn which has a beautiful cafe and she raves about it. I said I would love to go one day. She took me up on it and took me today. Well it was fantastic! Food was amazing and they have a shop that is stocked with local produce, homewares, books etc. We spent ages looking at all the stuff, we then wandered out the the nursery which is all natives. Back inside I saw a lovely green necklace and MIL saw it too and commented that I would like it (green is my fav colour), so she bought it for me! I had a really nice day out with her and she didn't let me pay for lunch either. Then out for dinner tonight with GF's to a lebanese rest in Carlton. We had a banquet, delicious. I feel like I could burst right now. DH's birthday tomorrow, so Chelsea and I went to the shops before I left for dinner and got him a Liqourice Lovers bag from Darryl Lea (from the girls) and I got us Gold Class tickets for Harry Potter next Wed (all sold out for tomorrow). Marley seems like she has another cold! Can't understand where she is picking them up from, haven't been out much at all with her this week and none of us have one. I am hoping it might be teeth, fingers crossed!
Night all!

Good morning,
Ali - Great news about Tori sleeping again, maybe the later bedtime is the answer, it doesnt give you and DH much time alone together though does it. I have tried to keep Lachlan up later in hope that he will sleep better and sleep in the next day but nope, it actually makes the night worse!
Mel - Very jealous about your MIL! What great day you had, she sounds lovely. As for Marley and her cold. The doctor told me when Lachlan was in hospital that kids from this age on will usually spend three months of the year with a cold. Two weeks with one, two weeks without. he said thats normal!! Yeah right. I hope thats not normal for my household, i dont think i could cope with that. Lets just hope its her teeth!!
Tali - Good luck with the land, lets hope this lady keeps her word for you. Glad you had a good time at the show and congratulations on your friends little girl.
25 degrees cold?? Boy i wish i lived up there!!!
Jess - How did Kates communion go? What did you decide with her hair?? Cant wait to see any photos!
NIckers - Good luck with the move, lets hope it all goes smoothly and also that Nixon isnt coming down with anything!!
Well, not much happening with me, im at work today, DH has taken Lachlan to a birthday party (one of my girlfriends kids) im stressing out about it. I know that DH is pretty good with him but i worry that he just wont watch him like i will. He will pull stuff off the tables onto himself and fall over etc and DH will be way up the other end of the hall chatting to someone (i know im a stress head!) Its mainly going to be playgroup mums and dads there so im hoping that everyone will be keeping an eye on him for me!
Gosh, the things we stress about!
Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Afternoon everyone, Hope everyone had a great weekend!!
Jess...was Kate's communion today, I thought it was next week, sorry not to post sooner, I love Ali suggestion, I was going to sugest half up half down, so pretty and feminine.
Ohhhh Nathan's crackin a nahnahhh so gonna come back later.
-
Her First communion is on the 5th August...tried out some more hairstyles but still haven't decided on what to do yet!
Pat stood up by himself for my Aunts and they nearly had a heart attack! They hadn't seen him do it and they thought he was soo clever.
Better go just walked in from driving..time to do some washing..A woman's work is never done!

Where is everyone? Been very quiet of late.
Maya - been heaps of threads about ergo and HAB's and I keep thinking of you. You'd be able to give some really great advice.
Dee - regarding the colds, it does seem like they have them all the time and its so hard to tell whether teeth or just a cold. Marley's I am still not sure, but her runny nose is clear which is not too bad. How did DH go at the party? I am a bit like you and a worry wart when DH takes the girls out.
Well my little munchkin has decided to WALK!!!!!! On DH's b'day on Saturday, she took 10 steps across the room. DH was so excited it happened on his b'day. Marley was so proud of herself, she clapped and laughed. Now she is doing it all the time, she walks until she falls then crawls to somewhere to stand up and goes again. Its so cute to see as she looks so little and still a bit unsteady on her feet. Chelsea was about the same age too.
Just had a GF over for lunch and we had soup and crusty bread then I made some scones. She is due to have her bub#2 in 2 weeks so she is getting very excited. All these people I know having babies is getting me very clucky!!!
Hope everyone is well and having a good day :)

Hiya Mel... i'm a-lurkin'. Yay!! for Marley!!! Oooh now everything will have to raised up another notch! Niall can now reach the items on my bedside table which, amongst other things, is causing me no end of grief.... still, the walking business is soooo cute at this age.
Scones... you have inspired me yet again... i have some buttermilk that needs using... i don't bake 'em without buttermilk these days... don't know what it does but it makes them soooo much lighter...
Am co-ordinating Wade vacuuming the house ATM... he loves it!
-
Bath - I know what you mean about the bedside table! I leave my books there and have found them with some pages ripped or scrunched up! Nothing is mine anymore lol!!! Buttermilk scones would be beautiful, must try that one. Have only ever used b/milk in pancakes. Have you tried the lemonade scones? Best I have ever tasted. My beaters have broken so I bought the pre-whipped cream in the can (the lite version lol!!!) and boy is it tasty. Might have to make hot chocolates with whipped cream tonight.
Can you send Wade over here, I need some vacing done lol!
-
Niall reached for and grabbed my new Harry Potter book!:o this morning! Arrrrrgh! I screamed and leapt across the room! But it crashed to the floor stubbing the corner :( Oh well... Verity will be reading it next, i'll have to learn to relinquish control... and buy myself a new set at some stage in the future when I'll want to reread the whole series anyhow...

I am so excited I can hardly type... I have finally become a student doula
Oops Bath posted at the same time!
