lol I got the same last night over the phone like I would have the time running around three kids all day at night. I think my DH feels helpless as he is always away so much and the only thing I tell him is that the kids are driving me nuts but its not really them it just me feeling crappy
I have just put some more photos in the gallery

Girls - please don't let your fellas get you to wear their crap :( I know it's hard. You both have got fantastic kids and they think you are awesome!
Got up REALLY late today, cos we got home REALLY early this morning...at 3isham!
Ok, gonna sneak in some reading before the kid wakes up...
-
Maya- My DH is just like this because his best friend would rather talk to me atm instead of him and the fact that I'm not feeling like DTDing atm. Even though he is at home all the time I still don't think he understands how much work I put in looking after the kids...
Enough of my moaning....Can everyone please offer a prayer up to whoever for my best friend Tray whose Grandmother has recently passed away. Even though she has been sick for a long time he still has been a shock about her passing.

How sad about your GF's grandmother :(
What does it take for these boys to understand? Maybe never. DP refuses to understand that no matter how 'unproductive' he thinks my day has been, I have made a big output - even if I don't leave the house or do a great deal of housework. Putting out for Oscar, in the form of constant supervision, breastfeeding, keeping his nappy situation as fresh as possible, thinking of what solids to feed him, keeping him entertained...it means that I may not be up for 'putting out' for him! It also means that when I say that I need outside help to get my study done, I mean it. He keeps saying things like "well, you could do it when he's asleep" (so the laundry fairy puts out the washing?), and 'you're making excuses'...well, they may be excuses, but they are also pretty solid reasons for not being able to stay on top of study! Especially if he's going to come home and tidy his shed, leaving me with Oscar AND the expectation of having something planned for dinner. Every time I suggest that I'm not getting as much cooperation as I would like, I get a defensiveness that leaves me feeling that maybe I AM wrong. ANyway, I'm venting!
Dinner IS being cooked for me tonight, I can smell it...we shall see how much 'credit' that buys ;)

Rory - go Flynnie, good boy sleeping through!
Ali - PML about your crazy dream! Had any more weird ones??? Tori is so sweet, esp love the little pigtails!
Nic - I think the crazy walking is pretty normal. Until they get a sense of balance which does take time. Poor thing, crashing into walls!
Bath - 12% tax would be wonderful, any more news on the job front for DH? How was the dinner last night? I was going to go but had to catch up with my brother and his family for his birthday (which was 3 weeks ago!). Would have loved go, sounds like a nice place.
Tali - good idea to give the other builder the flick! If they can't deliver a simple request such as plans, what are they going to be like actually building the house? Hope things pick up for you. It must be very hard looking after 3 kids, making decisions about the house all without the support of your DH. You are doing a great job.
Jess - you shouldn't feel old (your younger than me LOL!) and I hope you start feeling more appreciated. I know I haven't finished having my kids, so I don't know what that must feel like. Hope you GF is coping OK after her grandmothers passing. Try to keep smiling :)
Maya - late night out for you, what did you get up to? PML about having a laundry fairy!!!! Wouldn't we all like one of those. Hope your dinner gave you lots of bonus points LOL!
Well poor Marley has been in the wars today. She has put her tooth through her lip twice today falling over! Poor thing and quite a bit of blood the second time. I think she has actually cut the bit of skin under the top lip above her front teeth as it just kept bleeding. She did one this morning, falling over a toy and tonight she just lost her footing. This walking caper is dangerous! I am sure she will prob wake up with a fat lip tomorrow morning. Went over to my Dads last night to catch up with him and my brothers family came over. My dad has a new house which is 2 storey. Chelsea and her cousin thought it was the best, running up and down the stairs! She told my Dad what a great house he had!!! Did a big house clean this morning, then DH took Chelsea to Bunnings (again!) and another timber place to look for materials for a project he wants to do. She even got her face painted and came home looking like a butterfly. Got my tax cheque back and got a massive surprise, heaps more than I expected with all the family allowance stuff added in. I am so glad I kept our income estimate high even though I was on reduced salary for most of the year. Pays off now. Just need to work out what to do with it all. Got lots of things that need to be done, credit card to pay off, put money aside for xmas????? Decisions, decisions.
Must go, final Grays Anatomy on soon and need to get my coffee ready!

Good afternoon girls.... added this funny pic that a friend of mine sent to me to my gallery:
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums....php/photo/815
Made Maya's slice (Oaty Date) on the weekend... going to make a coffee and have a bit now. Hope she ended up going to the Ringwood BB meet... let us know how it went!
Mel: ouch! poor Marley, how is her lip now?
-
Bath - saw that pic, it's hilarious!!! I have a new cake for you, its a very healthy one with no eggs! One of the mums from Chelsea's creche made it for me and I loved it so got the recipe. I made it today as I had a friend over for lunch.
1 cup SR Flour
1/2 cup All Bran
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup of either dates, apricots, sultanas etc or combination of all
1/2 cup milk
1 tbls honey
Mix together, put in small loaf tin and bake till golden on top (180 degrees). Serve warm with a bit of butter. YUMMO!
Was going to go to Ringwood lunch but already had friend coming over, wonder how it went?
So far Marley hasn't had any falls today (touch wood!) and her lip is fine. I was surprised she didn't have a fat lip this morning. Good thing that the mouth heals up so quickly. Time for a coffee and a piece of my cake!

Well not much going on here, we have the Ekka (Brisbane Show) on this week so Kailen has two days off for it Monday and Wednesday and then he has Friday off for the ENT appointment, so he's only going for two days this week. Have a house inspection tomorrow so will have to do a really good clean today.
Slightly funny story, DH was changing some radiator hoses on Saturday and had just fitted them and was filling the water back into the radiator and started it. He always takes it out of gear but he must have forgotten and once he hit the starter it started to roll forward, lol. With the bonnet up he raced to turn it off and he got wedged in between the house and did turn it off, but not before the bonnet hit the wall mounted air con, luckily it didn't rip it out of the wall. So I had to climb in thru the passenger door and slowly reverse and get poor DH unstuck. It cost $150 for a new bonnet and DH wasn't to happy but I had a quite chuckle. We're lucky the boys weren't outside playing as they usually watch DH fixing the car, and poor DH had a case of the "what if's". I said don't worry it obviously happened at that time for that pacific reason. Ahh well all fixed now, lol.
Mel that cake does sound yummy, that's great that Marley didn't end up with a fat lip, I remember when Lockie was little he us to cut the bit of skin near the top two teeth all the time. But it doesn't seem to have affected him.
Back later.
hugs xoxo

Very quiet in here today, thought I would have to read up but only one to read!
Amanda - how fun with the Ekka being on, I hear its lots of fun. Do you normally take all the kids? We took Chelsea to Melb Show once but I think this year she may enjoy it a bit more. Good luck with your house inspection tomorrow, I'm sure you'll "pass" with flying colours. Poor DH, lucky know one was hurt. One of those freaky things that happens. Made that cake recipe again as DH ate the rest of the first one! Thanks for reassuring me that fat lips are par for the course, I am sure she will have plenty more.
Boy was it cold this morning! Driving to work it was only 3 degrees but it did turn out to be a nice day later. I had to go to dentist tonight to get a filling fixed, he did a good job and it didn't hurt at all, just had a bit of a sore jaw afterwards. I am so glad I have health insurance, it only cost me $50 as opposed to $178 if I had no insurance. Got home with the numb mouth and couldn't eat anything till about 8.30pm and I was starving. The girls were very happy to see me and I love getting the cuddles when I get home, esp from Marley as she knows how to cuddle now. She is having such a great time at nana's house which is wonderful.
How is everyone else?

Good morning girls :) Just dropped Wade off at kinder... put Niall down for a nap and am about to cook dinner: saag paneer which is an Indian dish with spinach and fried cubed cheese the kids love it.
Amanda: Hope you are enjoying the show... might take Verity and Wade along to the Melbourne one this year... would be too much for Niall... I think it's my turn this year (DH and I take turns going). Maybe next year we can all go as a family. Hope the nerves have settled after the freak car episode... cars make me nervous at the best of times!
Mel: You would have found it cold again this morning! It was pretty crisp at 8am when I stepped out with the boys; Niall in a sling, Wade holding my hand... it had warmed up by my return journey though... or maybe it was just that my body was warmed up from walking. How cute: Marley's little cuddles :)
Niall hasn't settled with his bottle... better go deal
-
Hey all better be quick cause I have a big agreement to draft today
Bath my next appt is next wednesday at 8am - can I drop by your place afterwards for a cloth nappy lesson :)
-
Rory: sure :) I'll have something yummy for morning tea too!
-
Cool, looking forward to it Bath :)
Well I was ACTUALLY going to sit myself down and do some work (after prepping the Porcuipine Slow Cooker Meatballs for dinner and hanging out the washing) BUT I just jumped onto work's server and the WP dept are still reformmating my document SOOOO I have some free "me" time before mothers group noon.
Bath I can't believe you can still get Niall into the sling - how much does he weigh ATM? Flynnie has to be topping 12 kg by now so I don't think I could carry him around for long (belly aside LOL) So sorry I missed the BB meet up at Lygon St - but we had a great catch up with a dear old friend and his new GF - I was so happy for him I could have cried. They both feel they have found "the one" and are talking marriage and kids only 5 weeks in. So nice to see in adults (he is 34, she is 27, both teachers at the same school)
Amanda that is so scary about the car!!
Mel Flynn had a similar tooth-thru-lip incident last week :( Looked like a little boxer LOL. I am hanging out for my tax return - I might ring my accountant and get an ETA........
Jess sending you and your GF hugs - sounds like life is getting you down ATM?
Howdy to Ali, Tali and Maya and everyone I no doubt missed:D
Better go - want to get a few things done before the Boy wakes from his nap - like get his lunch ready (he willbe feral if he has to wait LOL)
-
Yeah Niall is probably only two thirds of Fynnie's weight, maybe around 9kg? So it still works ok in the sling which is a fairly strong one. Did I ever show it to you? I should take a piccy and put it in the members' gallery.
Just collected Wade from Kinder... made my ghee... now onto the main recipe.
-
Hi All,
I went to a Sydney BB meet up on Saturday night and it was great to meet some more fellow BBers! Sarah organised it and did a great job food was yummy.
Met 2 girls also from my Oct Belly buddies group. Bath your meet up sounds really nice also.
DH and i got up thismorning to take the puppies on a walk, rugged up went to walk out the door and it was raining! we went anyway with umbrella's the dogs didnt care they were getting a walk! it stopped half way through. it was a bit of an uncomfortable walk for me though even though i had just been to the loo i needed to go the whole time we were gone!
Nixon stays at mums tues nights so was easy to just get up and go!
anyone who likes avacardo i discovered a lovely recepie from tupperwares range of recipes, its very quick easy, extremly yummy and good for you! I had it on my sanga for lunch today lol.
-
Hiya Nic, have you posted the recipe in the cooking thread? Sounds yummo, I looove avocado! And that's great you went to a meetup too! I need to get in as many as possible now that we are considering an expat move... Hanoi is now on the cards... apparently DH has to list preferences when applying for expat jobs... I don't know how many... i thought that was odd, i thought you could apply for a specific place... but it sounds like when they advertise the positions they do a few countries at a time and they get candidates to list prefs... very nerve wracking.. but DH is still keen, spoke to the assistant head of the expat dept yesterday... going to speak to the head maybe next week. Anyone been to Vietnam?
Saag paneer done... still simmering on stove... Niall is down for his afternoon nap... I'm going to read some more of the novel i borrowed from the library for Verity; I'm hooked! Anyone else reading a novel atm?
-
Vietnam? How very very cool that would be! I would have to come and visit with Oscar (might be the closest we get to Mongolia!)!
Nic - it's all come back to me now about needing to pee when out walking the dogs!
Rory - Oscar is 11+ kilos and we go alright in the sling. The only thing is my pelvis still being a bit dodgy (still seeing osteo, but I haven't been doing the exercises I should be doing!), so I try to save it for when he really needs the sling to help him through a sooky moment, to get to sleep, or if I need to put the washing out and DP isn't home (and then, he's on my front, there's less of a time limit factor for my pelvis, rather it comes down to how long Oscar will put up with being there). The thing with slings is, that if you use them constantly, your body gets stronger the heavier the kiddies get, so you notice it less...unless you have a dodgy pelvis...
gotta go. BBL
-
I haven't had Niall weighed in ages... if Oscar is 11+ then maybe Niall is about 10 kilos then, they are very similar... I really ought to get him checked out. And that is very true about your body getting stronger... I put Niall in the sling about 4/5 times a week... all for fairly long stints... he loves it... gets a bit wriggly after about 40 mins though but not too bad. I remember getting physically tired more from Wade... maybe because having him in it was more of a shock to the system as it had been 8 years between using it.
coffee time...
