Mel- We are only 2 hours behind you because WA is in its 2nd year of the trial for DLS. I have to say I am enjoying it as Tori is FINALLY sleeping decent hours, usually 8/8:30 pm- 6:30 am and from Midday till 2:30 for her nap which is very managable.
I went out and hit the shops on my own this arvo as DH finished work at lunch time, it was so great to just wonder around on my own, i bought some new mat bra's as the ones I am wearing at the moment were the ones I bought when pg with Tori and I have almost been wearing them for 2 years straight now, got some underwear and pj's to pack in my hospital bag, and a few more chrissy presents.
I also turned into a shop lifter OMG (not on purpose) but a couple of reels of cotton and an iron on patch slipped down in to the bags from other shops and got missed at the checkout.......... I didnt realise till I got home, and I am afraid I am too tired to go back to the shops to pay for them now.
Anyway I better go, Tori has her cranky pants on this afternoon, so better go and distract her.
-
Wow Ali packing your hospital bag this really mean not long to go now!!!

Bath - I still laugh thinking of Wade asking to go to bed early! I love DLS, I love being able to go for a walk after dinner when kids are in bed and it still be light and reasonably mild outside. So far the kids haven't been affected, I still try to put them to bed at the same time, pre DLS. So far so good! We are Mahjong addicts, I love screen 4 (when clicking the left arrow), its hard but fun. That seems to be the only one I can get a high score from. Have no idea how Yael managed 604! It is my mission to try and bet it lol!
Nic - thats fantastic news about Tyron, growing very well. We had to put a lock on Marleys bedroom door as Chelsea would sneak to her door, get a chair and open it and go in and wake her up! Thankfully we don't have to lock it now but it was very frustrating. She also tried to get in the cot, with Marley in it. I can't sew either, thankfully nowdays they hire costumes. Tap is fantastic, I love the sound and watching their feet. Chelsea wants to try it but I might wait a year or two and let her just do one type of dancing. Hope the Tuppaware meeting goes well, I think you'd make a great manager.
Tali - hope you get your melways. It will make looking for houses easier if you can see exactly where they are. Well done to May, sounds like she is a very good swimmer. Hope the witching hour wasn't too bad.
Ali - I should have asked you about DLS earlier. I was supposed to ring one of my students in WA today and I couldn't work out what time it would be over there, she would have loved me ringing at 7am! NOT. Glad Tori is sleeping better, must make you feel better having a good nights sleep and not getting up at the crack of dawn? Sounds like you had a good day shopping. PML about the shoplifting, I have done similiar when shopping with the pram, put stuff on top and forget about it and not notice until I am putting the pram in the car!
Rory - YAY on finishing work. Go and enjoy a good nights sleep.
-
Rory yay on been on Maternity leave, hope you feel nice and rest and have fun starting to nest, lol.
Ali not long to go for you either, I so can't wait for the arrival of all the new bubba's.
Well it was Wyatt's 3rd birthday yesterday, I will be making his cake for tomorrow, I'll be making the number 3 that looks like a bird (hope it turns out). Chicken poxs are slowly disappearing so back to school next week. Well we got rejected for two houses and are still waiting on a reply for one that we applied for 3 weeks ago, I rang the RE yesterday to see what was going on and she told me "well the owners have the applications and I can't rush their decisions". Well I wasn't trying to rush any decision, I was just wondering how it was going. So I had a bit of a cry to DH over the phone, we have to be out of this house by the 22nd of Nov, the next lot of houses we can look through aren't til next week and I'm starting to worry what if we don't have a house by settlement, what happens to us, we have nowhere to go. Hmmm, ok bored you enough with my woes, will get back to house work now.
Hi everyone else.
hugs xoxo
-
Happy birthday Wyatt for yesterday! sorry i missed that Amanda.
i look forward to seeing your next cake creation!
glad chicken pox are dissapearing, gosh not looking forward to the sickness traveling through one kid to another, but i guess its pretty unavoidable living under the same roof! Atleast they should hopefully never get it again. and bummer if it was another month or so on Cody would have had the vacination for it. Nixon had his last week.
i really hope you find a nice home soon, i know the pressure is on could u contact the agent and just adivse your still looking really hard and maybe need another week to actually move out or something?
Yay for being on Maternity leave Rory! rest up now while you can!
-
Amanda - a big happy birthday to Wyatt! I am sure your cake will be awesome,
they always are. Glad to hear the chicken pox are getting better. Quarantine will finally be over. Must be frustrating waiting to get a house, have you got a back up plan JIC?
Nic - how is the feeding going?
Poor Chelsea is still recovering from her late night Tuesday. Today she had swimming at 10am and on the way home she fell asleep in the car. When we got home, she lay down on the couch and said she was tired. We had lunch and I hung some washing out and came back in and she was fast asleep on the couch. Poor thing, she almost never has a sleep during the day now so she must really be tired. I've just let her relax and chill out on the couch. Thankfully no dancing classes tomorrow. I just made a yummy batch of white choc chip cookies, they smell so good. Might have to go and have a cuppa and a bikkie!!!
-
nup no good Mel. Its 1 step forwards 3 steps back it seems.
The sideline tube thing i got from the hosptial on wed just ahsnt been succesful, im slowing thinking this may never happen.
On the upside i added up how much booby milk ive already frozen appox 8650mls which would do about 12days worth of feeding! On top of that again that ive squeezed out and he has already drunk since being home from hosp.
Trent is back at work on Monday though so expressing may become a little harder on my own.
oh yummo choc chip cookies! ahhhh im suppose ot be a good girl i wanna start loosing weight asap, not being able to excerise doesnt help my cause though! i wanna loose 10kg by May do u think its acheiveable with xmas in between?!
I hope Chels wakes up nicely after her nap she must have been really nakkered
-
Oh Nic, I feel for you! Having not been an overly successful breastfeeder myself, I wish I could offer you some words of wisdom. Don't forget to do what feels right and you'll know what that is. Your doing great, you should give yourself a huge pat on the back. That expressed amount is just mammoth!!!! I think your weight goal would definately be achievable, its not way out there and you have given yourself plenty of time. Maybe worry about it after xmas, that still gives you 5 mths and then you don't have to focus on it too much during the xmas period with all that yummy food!
Chels did wake up a bit better but she didn't really come good until after dinner. She got a bit upset when I told her she couldn't watch all of Better Homes and Gardens, she got to watch Fast Ed at the start (he is her favourite!) and then went to bed happy! DH has been on nightshift all this week, so very quiet night. Was supposed to chat to my GF in Brisbane but she has lost her voice, so no chat tonight. Might have to go and play some more Mahjong!!!
-
Just popping in to say that AstroLady is loading up all my new Avvies!!! I've seen Nickers, and RoseHannah's (my sis) sofar... gonna go look for Jess!!!
-
Yes! Jess and her 6 babies are up too!
-
Bath - Jess and Nic's look fantastic, love Jess' with all her brood. Wonder if thats the largest avatar (kids I mean!), good job fitting them all in. Will try to find rosehannah's but I bet that's just as good.
Just had a big thunder storm, heaps of lightening and a good downpour. My brother is away for the weekend, so my SIL came to visit with my nieces. It was a great night with Thai takeaway and the kids had a ball.
Hope everyone else is having a fun weekend :)
-
Hiya Mel :) Ooh wish we'd got that thunderstorm! I love them. I've been playing Bubbles  Have a little addiction developing... hehe
I almost rang my sis to tell her her avvy is up... she's been waiting so long... I've also seen HEAPS of new ones: Hoobly, Rols (SLyder) Jen... AstroLady has been one busy girl tonight!
Oh yum Thai! DH cooked some lemon pepper crusted salmon, steamed asparagus and salad. And now it's time for a hot chocolate and my favourite Le Petit Ecolier biscuits...
-
Bath, the storm must have bypassed you, I love a good storm too.
Just saw rosehannah's av, fantastic! I have been noticing all the new ones, they look great. LOL about the games addiction, I have been playing mahjong again! I haven't tried many of the others, might have to give Bubbles a go.
Oh I love salmon, its one of my favourite foods. Sounds delicious, you have to give me the recipe. DH doesn't eat fish, so I only cook it when he is on afternoon shift, the kids love it.
I have been naughty and eating those marshmallow Santa's from the supermarket! Already had 2!
Enjoy your hot chocolate and exotic biscuits LOL!
-
Thankyou bath for Avvy...its gorgeous!
YAY...my 1000th post!
Well we've had rain for most of the day but for the past three hours have had nothing but thunder and lightening.DH was supposed to be going to the Poker Regionals but decided that he wasn't feeling like it after he worked all day, so after dinner we went for a drive to see if his mate was working. Both Dh and DD3 are asleep on their repective couches atm, Dh 's leg fell down and woke him up but he went back to sleep.
Pat is coming along, he is still on ventolin through the nebuliser but I try to space that out as he screams and just gets himself worked up over it.Today he woke up with a wheeze again, but I gave him a dose of prednisolone and he was ok after that.
The older kids are in euroa this weekend for Wool Week. They enjoy going there and it sure brightens up my Aunts week.A couple of months ago, you might recall someone ran up the back of my aunts car, well they received a chq in the mail to either fix their car up or to buy another car. They have decided to buy another car as their little colt was not running the best, so Mum and Dad went to Albury today and bought them a little Barina, so of course my Aunts are over the moon.
It's just started to rain heavy again now, since 9am this morning we have had 18mm of rain and boy do we need it.
Well, better go before I bore all of you, catch you all soon
-
Oh no you're not boring us Jess! I'm just sitting here smiling at your avvy :) That's great you've been getting heaps of rain... the air smells great hey? And it will hopefully green things up a bit, our lawns have been browning off already. I hope Pat's asthma comes good... that must be worrying when he wheezes. I hope your older kids have fun with your aunt and that she has fun with her new car! There's certainly something good in the air ATM. I went Chrissy shopping in the city this afternoon and it was like everyone was in a happy mood. People were smiling, this little old guy chatted to me on the train, everyone was pleasant and friendly... hope whatever it is hangs around :)
ok... one more game of MahJong then i'd better call it a night!
-
I tend to go on and on about things Bath thats why i say I'm boring you.
I can't believe this time next month I will be 32! I am getting so old.
I have started to talk to DD1's bio aunt lately and she has been telling me about her brother(DD1's father). Just after I got married to my DH, he wed his DP and after 4 yrs of being together they split last year and he has custody of the children because she wanted a social life. When I first heard this, I thought to myself, finally karma has come and bitten him in the arse. But then I thought about it again, and I thought poor guy, his now ex wife only dumped so she could have a better social life and go out and get with as many Tom, **** and Harrys as she could. Apparently She was doing it to him, while they were married as well. I'm not going to do it for a while but as soon as I think she is ready, she will be meeting her bio dad....What do you girls think? Good or Bad idea???
