thats no good jess, hope u can find somewhere else soon.
well im so exhausted atm. had Ty's christening yesterday, it went well but my god we just didnt get a break! i feel bad when ppl are saying good bye and i havent even spoken to them yet.
had a near incident again. The room we had after christening was at a golf club but it waasnt a room as such just a section of one. Nixon the explorer walked off, you would think with 50+ ppl someone would notice but he snuck out, i was casually looking for him and started asking ppl when i couldnt find him. as we were doing a search an un impressed staff member was walking him back & told us he grabbed him before he walked outsude to the car park....... ofcourse from then i was paranoid and spent the rest of the arvo running after him in heels. its funny to him ofcourse.
will upload some pics in the gallery exept dont have many, out good camera broke and our cheap camera batteries went flat, so have to reley on family to give me copies of pics........
Ty was very good exeot had to feed him in the middle of the christening lol!
i also lost my voice on Sat so was difficult talking to ppl, i wish ni could just have 1 day that i didnt have to get out if bed and do JACK all day.
Hi to all
Tali- its your family and your decision if u have another bub or not and if you move or not. our fam were upset when we moved to melb but it was OUR decision and as adults you do what YOU want not everyone else! maybe she needs reminding of that fact lol
-
Good afternoon everyone, just very quickly: Amanda: i've sent in your updated Avvy so hopefully AstroLady will be able to load it up soon.... she often does them on Tuesdays so maybe even as early as tomorrow! I adjusted your hair, added preggy belly, made Cody and Lauchlan older (it was a bit tricky with the boys) and added a special extra image to show that you are a wonderful birthday cake maker! ;) I hope it's ok. I got all excited because the site I use has all these new images!!! LOL So if anyone else needs an update... just let me know, especially if you have pets! Izzy, you haven't had one for a while...
Jess:  thinking of you and your housing issues! That sounds so stressful! I hope that if worse comes to worse that you are able to at least find somewhere better!
-
Jess sorry to here that your having problems with the Real Estate.
Nic I'm glad the christening for Tyson went well except for Nixon going for a wonder, but hey what can you do with a boy that likes adventure, I know Wyatt's the same too.
Bath that sounds great can't wait to see it.
Well I've got to get my BT done tomorrow and the doctor told me that I might have my dates wrong (don't think so because I was charting), that it's a good pg or that it might be twins, since I've got m/s before I found out I've had it for over a week now, no throwing up yet thank god. Playgroup started up again this morning and it was great, there's a few of us pg around the same time, one lady pg with triplets. Ok better be off, got Cody screaming for some reason.
hugs xoxo
-
jess - i hope things work out for you with your housing issues - hopefully there is a better place out there waiting for you.
nic - sounds like the christening went off pretty well except for Nixons escapades. It gets to me sooo much when they laugh at you when they are being naughty etc.
amanda - hope the m/s doesn't knock you about too much. I can't beleive mine is still carrying on aghhh!!
hi to Bath, Mel, Ali, Tali, Maya, Julie, Dee and anyone else I've forgotten. Must go catch up round the house after being away for a long weekend. Hope everyone has a good week
-
Hugs Jess :(
Nic I hate when Flynn does a runner - I so sympathise!!
Amanda how would you feel about twins!! how exciting! I am so scared of having twins - mainly because I would hate to go down the "you need a c-section cause you have twins" route. I know so many people who go for child #3 or #4 and end up with the jackpot LOL!!! That is wonderful that everything is going well :)
Wow Jaspen I can't believe you are 15 weeks along already :) Seems like yesterday you were making your annoucement .....
What are you all doing about "please" and "thankyou"? We are trying it with Flynn and this morning he and DH had a monster battle over Flynn's refusal to say "bottle please". I completely agree with DH that Flynn was being a stubbord bugger - he actually said "NO!" when we asked him to say please (something he has said many times before without a problem) - but it breaks my heart to see him tantrumming. I suppose I have to get used to the tantrums but how far do you push please, and how do you handle it when they just won't say it when you know they can? Ahhh, the great battles of civilising have begun!
-
LOL Rory :) We don't really focus on the P&Qs overly. I just automatically say "ta" when I ask for something from Niall or give him something. Hopefully it will just sink in and become habitual rather than something he is even aware of. Worked with Wade and Verity and they have pretty good manners. DH and I also say "please" and "thankyou" a lot to each other... everytime we make any kind of request (which i know is unusual when i listen to many other couples). THAT is the best way to teach a desired behaviour: do it yourself! (I know you do BTW Rory) Maybe just focus on saying please more to your DH. Our little darlings are almost rebellious two year olds so soon anything you try to teach them will be flatly ignored. So you gotta be more subtle ;) The desire to mimic continues through the terrible twos also. Having said all that I occasionally need to refine Verity's manners at home. She gets lazy (plus "not-remembering" is part of the power struggle we often have as we lock horns).... but at least I know that when we are with others she remembers.
Arggh! Have to rescue the CDs again!!!
-
Jaspen wow, 15 weeks and still got m/s, I hope it goes for you soon, maybe it's a girls this time you never know.
Rory re the twins, I think I'm more open to it then DH at the moment, I've always wanted twins, lol, I've also heard that about a few people just want 1 more to finish the family and end up with twins or more. With the please and thank you I try and get them to say it and if I can see that they are flatly going to refuse then I usually don't push them anymore and just try again next time. I also do what Bath does as well with making sure that I use please and thank you.
hugs xoxo

Hi Girls,
wow Amanda imagine twins! That happened to my old neighbour, they have 2 children, decided to go for a third and now she is 30wks pg with twins! i cant wait to see your new avater.
Bath- does the new place you found have a boxer dog? it would be nice to add him, but dont we have rules that avaters can only be changed every 6months or something?
Jaspen- sorry to hear your m/s is still lingering, hopefully that lifts for you soon, 15weeks wow, everyone elses pregnancies seem to go so fast! whens your next scan?
-
Hi all just popping in quickly to say hello- dont have much time at the moment because Liam just wont stay asleep during the day and I seem to spend all of my time rocking him off to sleep or feeding him. Feeding is a nightmare at the moment too, he just won't stay on for a long feed, fusses around argggg and then wants to feed again an hour or so later, Iam just about ready to toss it in.
Amanda- Congrats on your BFP, I will keep thinking pink for you.
Anyway better go, I hope everyone is keeping well.
-
ali - certainly sounds like you are doing the hard yards at the moment - hope its just a short faze that vanishes real soon.
-
Wow, I haven't been on in ages and thankfully not too much to catch up on.
Jess - sorry to hear you are having more housing hassles. Hopefully you find your dream home soon.
Tali - tell MIL to mind her own business! Why do they think they can interfere in their kids lives? As others have said, its a decision for you and DH to make and she should keep opinions to herself. Bet she doesn't say anything directly to you about it. How is May going at school?
Nic - glad the christening went well apart from your little escape artist! Can't believe no one noticed him, they must have been having too much of a good time. Look forward to the pics, hope your family and friends took good ones.
Jaspen - not nice to still have m/s! You must be so over it? How is the rain, still going? Heard it has been pretty bad up north.
Amanda - twins, wow! I thought I was having twins when pregnant with Marley. Had bad dreams for weeks about it until first ultrasound. When is your first u/s?
Rory - similiar philosophy to Bath, don't push it, just go with it. Their attention span is zilch and can be so time consuming and frustrating waiting for them to say it. We have a big thing about manners in this house and everyone says "please" and thankyou" so the kids pick up on it. I wouldn't worry too much as they copy alot of what they see and that can be far easier than forcing them to say it. They are stubborn little things! Marley has thrown some ripper tantys over the smallest things.
Bath - I am not looking forward to the teenage years. We will be hitting you for advice when that time comes.
Ali - oh hang in there. I hope this phase settles and feeding starts becoming enjoyable again.
Well I am back at work 3 days now which started last week and so far so good. Kids are getting used to the routine and getting up a bit earlier. Chelsea is loving school and really likes going to either before or after school care. The teacher came for a home visit today which was great. Much easier to talk one on one at home than at the classroom with other parents all wanting to talk to her. The first thing Chelsea wanted to show her was her room LOL! She talked about how she is going in the classroom and I was very proud to hear her tell me what a lovely soul Chelsea is. Very kind natured and unphased by anything. She was also impressed with her lunchbox, saying how healthy and appetising her food looks. Wonder what other parents are packing that is so bad?
Marley had her first full 2 days at creche last week and that went great. She is loving the social aspect of it and is eating up a storm, 3 servings of mtea on Thursday! They are great with her allergy requirements, making her yummy alternatives if needed. She is getting the hang of sleeping in a bed, 1 hour the first day and 1.5 the second. Hopefully this week she will sleep even longer but she has come home very bright and chirpy. She even did her first drawing which is proudly on the fridge!
Must go and try to finish the rest of my washing, while the sun is shining!
-
I too have been MIA but BHL is now away again for 2 weeks so will be able to catch up a bit as he hates it when I'm on the computer all day as he puts it...( I think it really because he wants to go on a look at mountain bike sites...
Jess- hope you have some good news soon with your housing...
Jaspen- hope the m/s goes soon mine normally goes around the 16 week mark maybe this meant pink for you?
What about this rain I thought we had it bad on the weekend as our pool flooded the back padieo area as we had so much and at the moment the pump is broken so we could get the water out and to make matters worst the drain blooked up so the water had nowhere to go that God BHL was home so he could un-block the drain as it was so gross I couldnt do it plus had about 1000 cane toads swimming around the back yard.... But when I realised you guys were under again and there is another low bearing down by the end of the week I thought the place will never dry up...
Amanda- when do you find out if you have twins or not? I too used to want twins but not now as if we did it would be 5 and that seems so much bigger than 4 Plus I am selfish and would be too scared that I would never get my body back again as I have been very lucky so far to come back down to size..
Rory- I am amazed that you are even trying the P's and Q's yet Kai isnt even talking enought to start that yet....
Mel- So glad that Chelsea is loving school. May is still crying when we drop her off but I think it so that she gets the attention from the teacher's aid as soon as she strats to cry now the teacher's aid will come over give her big cuddles and tell her that she can sit on her lap and that may can be her speical helper today, so now I think May plays on this a bit so that she can be the speical helper but what can I do May's has already worked out the system... But as we will be moving in june she will have to go to kindy ( if I can find one) so she will be in school next year anyway...
Well when I droped off the kids at school today Zaydens teacher from last years ran into us and asked about us moving so we told her when we were going and told her that we were thinking of putting Zay back a year to year 2 instead of 3 in Melbourne and she said what a great idea that was and that, that would do him the world of good, as it will give him a chance to catch up. Now I know that his report wasnt all that flash mostly C and D's but for a teacher to say that it would be so much better for him to repeat the year in another state makes me mad if it would benifit him there why wouldnt it have done the same for him here to repeat. I wish Australia would unifiy the school systems it would make things so much easier...
-
thanks for the kind wishes regarding the m/s ladies - i'm hoping that it will mean a nice calm baby - I don't know where I figure this from but one can only hope. (and if it means pink that would be extra special but I'm trying not too hold out hope for fear of disappointment)
tali - it is so wet here at the moment trees are falling out of the ground everywhere with only the slightest breath of wind - flooding not as bad as last time cause it didn't last as long - i've never known Townsville to be so humid for so long.
mel - good to see the girls seem pretty flexible with changes to routine and mummy back at work an extra day - i must say we've never been huge on routine on this house - it just doesn't come to DH very easily.
anyway had better dash for the moment - ob appt this afternoon - don't know what there will be to discuss but hey i'll go give him his money for 10 mins of his time LOL
hump day ladies - hope the rest of the week is good
-
jaspen- Funny you say that as that is one of my baby tips LOL dont know if its true or not, but most ladys I know who have had "bad " PG have gone on to have very good sleeping well babies I have had this with all 3 of mine but that all changes when they turn 1, My GF had to great PG wouldnt even know she was PG apart from the belly but had babies who would sleep ever!!!! but with her 3rd she had m/s and back ach and all the good things that come with having a baby. But she had a wonderful baby who slepted through at 6 weeks plus she had had two boys and the last was a girl so could have been a different sex thing as well, but its always nice to think that you might be getting all the bad now and not once baby comes....
Well Kai is been a big pain in the bum, I am trying to train her so she has no nappy on but I have to put one on to do school drop off and pick up and for when she has her naps and this is when she is going I am putting her on the toilet and potty as we have both, but she just wont go I read her a book which she loves but the minute I have to put a nappy on her its like she truns on a tap its never ending the nappys are like night ones, but now the night ones are leaking as she is holding on so much it all come out at night. She know when she is doing it as she comes running pointing and saying a word that could mean wee ( she still isnt making out many clear words) so I know she understands, my only problem is I feel that if she doesnt get it in the next 6 weeks do I just give up as we would be moving in another 6 weeks from that date, and I dont want a half trained child with me when we move. But if I do that, that means that she wont be starting to train until dec this year.. Argggg I dont know maybe I am just beening silly over nothing as I always say you dont see many 10yr olds walking around in nappy's so she will get it one day... :wall:

Hi All,
Just a quick one to say i got a text from Donna thismorning.
She gave birth to a little boy thismorning, has not been named yet and he was 6lb 13oz
Congratulations Dee, hope your both well and look forward to hearing your birth story and seeing some pics!
-
Congratulations Dee on the arrival of your second son - hope you are both well. (thanks for letting us know Nickers - please pass on my congrats if you're talking/texting her)

-
Congratulations Dee on the birth of your second boy.
hugs xoxo
-
Congrats Dee on the birth of your son...Nice weight as well
-
OMG...we were on the second page!!!!!!!
OK Junies I have a difficult decision. I have two outfits to wear out tonight and I can't decide what to wear.... Here are the two choices
-
-
Jess- I like the 2nd one the 1st doen't give you any shape...
Just letting you all know Kai did her 1st wee on the toilet today YIPPY!!!!!! but has sence dont nothing BOO....
Gee it sticky here today cant wait to move and have a shower and actully be able to dry my body without having wet sticky skin!!! Do you know how hard it is to put your knickers on in this weather I know you will know what I am talking about Jaspen....LOL
-
Second outfit, Jess - it's very smart!
Ok, I'm back. First:
Congrats, Dee!! Thinking of you and your two little boys :)
Tali - I agree, the people at school should be using a full name unless a child expresses a preference for a shortened version, or when other kids start to shorten it without the prompting of a teacher. It's kind of rude, IMO. For instance, I have a shortened version of my name that ONLY my friends called me at school. Being that I didn't have many friends at all, it was only a handful of people I expected to hear the short version from. These days if I want people to know the short name, I give it to them. If I don't, I give them my full name and they can figure it out themselves, or get friendly with me and ask if they can call me something for short! Mean? Nah, it's just a courtesy.
Amanda - congrats, you! Yay for your little bunch of cells in there :)
Umm, there's so much to catch up on that I think I'll implode if I try to comment on it all. DP is on the bed, crashed from the jetlag he didn't believe he'd get (I mean, what would I know, I've only done long haul travel before and he hasn't...hee hee!) and I've sent Oscar off with my dad so I can clean up a bit more without the kid stringing out at me. Distraction is the theme here, and I can't do it while I'm tidying up!
Oscar did so extraordinarily well on the flight home and I got more sleep than DP, hence I'm still in the land of the living. Not for much longer though. I have the dogs returned by MIL and they look like they've spent half the week in planes.
Ok, from memory, someone asked about BFing. I'm still doing it and still enjoying it - probably couldn't have handled the flights without it. Oscar still shows a preference for it and I don't like the idea of making him wait till he's had solid food first. I'd rather he get his 'super food' (quoting Rosemary Stanton here!) first, then fill the rest of his belly with the solids he decides on (some nights he'll love one food and spurn it the next, some nights he'll barely eat a thing). I've explained to DP that it's ok if he has a BF and doesn't eat much after, cos it means he woudn't have eaten much anyway, and been less likely to have 'Babu' after, missing out on solids and BF nutrients. Ift hat makes sense. There are times he'll get distracted and his attachment is sloppy, so I have to reattach him (still!). This can happen at night, too, when he's being careless and really tired - probably my own doing by letting him suck on a dummy at night when he's not feeding, and I use the dummy so that I can give my nipples a breather! Oscar doesn't seem nearly ready to give up his Babu. London is where he fed the least during the day, but there were times when it's what he definitely wanted, and he'd waited long enough. I thought he'd be too distracted in Ireland, too, but for some reason, this wasn't so. Still no AF, so I guess the sporadic nature of his feeding is keeping my hormones in ovulation suppression mode.
I have photos from the rest of the trip on Facebook. I haven't tried uploading anything to BB for ages because it took too long, I'll see how it's going now.
We nearly had a heart failure today. We spent hours shopping in a mall in Dubai, which is so rare for us to do anywhere, but we really wanted to find DP a pair of sunglasses to replace his Ray Bans that he left somewhere in Wexford. I ended up choosing a pair, too, so the guy there gave us a discount, making a designer pair of sunnies VERY affordable! Anyway, we thought we'd lost them again, this time between meeting MIL and getting to the car. I discovered them in the luggage trolley, where they'd fallen out of a bag. I think the thought of choosing another pair and claiming TWO pairs of glasses on travel insurance took whatever wind was left right out of us. Not only had we already lost a pair, but it is hard work getting that man to a shopping centre (if you thought I had an aversion, this man is pathological!). We were in that damn mall for about 5 hours!
We have made it back alive and undivorced. Quite an achievement, given some of the more heated moments. Weren't too many of those, thankfully. It smells so good to be home - nothing like getting back and smelling all the eucalypts and hearing the kookaburras (did they always sound so loud??).
Next time we make that journey, it may well be with 2 kidlets. My head hurts to think about it!
Anyway, next trip is NZ at the end of March for a wedding.
Right, I'm starting to fade quickly, now. better go,and be back in true BB form!
-
Welcome back Maya! thats great your still bf and wow on AF still not returning! even when i was bf Nixon i think it came back after about 4 months, and well this time around i never really had the bf opportunity and even with all the expressing af came back 2months ago. kinda didnt give me much of a break seings i bled for nearly 4weeks post birth....
Jess- which outfit did you wear? I also liked the 2nd outfit it was quiet smart!
Yay Kai on wee in the toilet! Ive been putting Nixon on the pooty before bathtime on and off for months now but still no success in weeing in it! i think we'll be a while off b4 he is ready for toilet training, will hopefully get the idea of it toward the end of the year in warmer weather and he will be 2.5-2.9yrs
dh has finally returned from all his interstate work, all up the ast 4 weeks he hasnt really been around. so today i had a day off, after swimming in the morning he went to his mums and i went to have a much needed massage. after that i went to Myer and bought my first ever suit! its a lovely black Cue one and im very happy with it, looks very corporate hehe! tried a few dresses on for a wedding coming up then went down the coast and did a tupp party for my gf.
I've started organising Nixon's 2nd birthday, yikes im gonna have a 2yr old soon lol! Im making a "builders" cake for him which is in the Jenny Dodd party idea's book. lots of great cakes and themes in it.
no word as yet on what Donna & DH have named their little boy.
-
Nic - thanks for letting us know about Dee, great news. Hope her and her new bub are settling in well. Can't wait to hear what they named him. Well done on getting a well deserved day off. Cue has some beautiful clothes and I bet your suit is fab! You are so organised planning the party now, at least you won't be rushed in deciding what theme to do. Can't believe Nixon is nearly 2! Love the new ticker pic, the boys look gorgeous.
Jess - have fun tonight, I would have said #2 as well.
Tali - i wouldn't worry about the toilet training much until you move. Its such early days anyway and might be easier once you have settled into a new place. We didn't really start with Chelsea until she was over 2. What age did your others toilet train? I have heard they all do it at different times. Great result today but then expect a few misses.
Maya - WELCOME BACK!!!! I have been checking your FB pictures and they are awesome. You must have a great camera. Glad the trip went well, sounds like my kind of shopping in Dubai! Hope you get a great nights sleep tonight and I am sure those kookaburras will give you a wake up call tomorrow (or those dam ****atoos!)
Has anyone heard from Julie? Its been ages since her last post - hope everything is OK.
-
I've been in such a tizz, and you're right, Mel, I haven't noticed any posts from Jules for a while, even in my skimming. I hope she's travelling so well that she doesn't have time to sit down at a computer.
Nic - good one on the massage! No matter how many you have, you just take your opportunities, don't you, cos the other half may well not think of it first!
Mel - speaking of ticker pics, Marley looks ace in yours! Might have to update mine, even though I love that Osc pic, I have some other cute ones now. Our cameras are the same, DP and I both use the camera on our Sony Ericsson phones cos it's a better camera than the dinky little Aldi camera, which also gave some good pics for a 3 MP. Phones have 3.2 MP. So, it meant only having to carry around one unit instead of phones and cameras. Updated some more pics to FB, will just have to tag and title them, then approve them for viewing :)
Woke up nice and early this morning - I'm never up before 8, but I was so glad to wake up in my own bed (albeit confused) that I didn't mind Oscar stirring early.
We've had brekky, Oscar can say 'Coco' (sounds like GoGo ATM), we've discovered that the little mouse in our house has quite the appetite for newspaper when Coco is in boarding school (with MIL!) and all is well.
Our washing machine doesn't work and we have tons of washing, but I don't care, a)because it's mainly winter gear, and b) cos we're in our own home again.
Jas and Tali - I hope you can beat the stickiness somehow! I suppose talc would just become a streaky mess?
Better go do some more unpacking now...
More unpacking to do.
-
Hey maya great to see you back!!! Isnt dubai having it Gold sale this month? I know some women who would give there right arm to go to that!! LOL I think it would be to much for me as I hate crawds. I have a GF at playgroup that is going there on monday to see her DH as he works there and he wants her to move over with the kids so she is off to see if she could cope living there..
My AF doesn't arrive until at least 3/4 mths after I have completly stoped BF so with DS that was about 18 mths girls were much earlier, so maybe you too will have to wait until you have finished..
Mel- Funny you say that as about 3 mins after I had writen that she had done her wee in the toilet she did one on the floor again lol which is where she does most of them but as we have tiles here its not so bad.. I am in two minds about training as DS was trained before he was 2 day and night but DD1 was almost 3 before nshe got it, Plus if we do decide to drive down again it would be really hard with a just trained child as she still doesnt talk she can tell us when she needs to go.. Yesterday I was just lucky to catch one in the toilet, I might stop trying soon.
Jaspen- cant believe you are flooding again I hope your house has missed most the water!!! let us know how you are I heard there is more comming today as the troft is moving up the coast..:crossfingers: all is ok
Ok girls I am really bad at finding people in Facebook so it would be great if you could PM me your name or I could pm you mine so that I can find you!!! not that I get facebook much but as there are a few of you on there and its easier to upload photos there I too would love to have a look...
Well May is going to her friends house today for a play its werid letting her go to someone else's house to have a play without me been there she too young but I am droping her off and will go pick her up so she wont be there that long and its not like I dont know the house she is going to its just hard not beening there too.. Gee I have had it too good with Zayden for too long her has still never asked to go to anyones house as he is to scared and what Mays been at school for 3 weeks and she is already having play dates.. Plus Zayden told me the other day that she was holding a BOYs hand in the playground he was not happy I thought it was funny at least I know that when they are bigger in high school he will always be there watching her.... so she wont be able to get up to too much.lol I hope:pray:
-
Welcome back Maya!!!
And congratulations Dee! :D can't wait to hear your new little man's name!
Jess: I liked outfit number 2 as well :)
Sorry have to be brief again... I should be resting... spent yesterday arvo at the emergency dept at the hosp. with chest pain. Everything was fine... just need to up my dosage of medication. So tired, couldn't take my Sunday school class this morning. Dh has been great, he's out doing the grocery shopping now with the kids. Although yesterday he cracked it at verity when I was in pain because she moaned and groaned about having to keep an eye on the boys.... I mean, he really cracked it... so i took myself to the hosp. 3 hours later after tests I wandered down to Heidelberg shops and Verity called out.... DH was in getting pizza and the mood was cheerful. DH said he apologised after I left.
Enough about my troubles. Maya: I checked out your piccys in FB last night.... ooooh Dubai! LOL I love/hate that place! So good to have you back safe :)
Oh and another moan while i think of it: I had the boys booked in a half day care in the city last Friday but Wade woke up with a temp and a croaky voice... so that put and end to that! he is never sick... oh well, can't be helped i guess... have them booked in again this Friday... knowing my luck Niall will fall ill (he's a bit snuffly today). So all going well i'll be in and around Melbourne central this Friday if anyone wants a meetup. Maya i note that it will be your birthday so if you come I'm shouting you a bit of cake! ;) I'm hoping to make the Friday daycare thing a semi-permanent thing so it would be ok to try another day if this Friday is too tricky. Mel: what are your free days again? You're working 3 days now? Mmmm, I'm day-dreaming of a nice little desk job in the city... DH says if we have to leave here we should consider living in there... hmmm, not sure.
Julie: miss you matey, hope everythings ok
-
Well the night was absolutely fan-bloody-tastic! DH took a couple of pics of me with Adam. Catherine and The Noll Brothers (which are Shannon Noll's big brothers!)
I ended up wearing the pants outfit ( I was boiling by the end of the night though!), and at the end of the night Adam gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek!
I spoke to Catherine, The Noll Brothers and of course Adam and got a couple of autographs as well.
Got home around 12.30am, but I'm not tired at all!
-
Jess - sounds like you certainly had a great night!!!
Tali - no we are suriving the wet with no damage thankfully!!! Townsvilles flooding has been a lot less this time round although the dam is a pretty spectacular sight at the moment!! Today has actually been a half decent day with some beautiful breezes - yay to Kai.
Bath - i have everything crossed that both your boys are healthy this Friday and that you are feeling a lot better and have no more urgent visits to the hospital - take care of yourself hon
Maya - glad to see you back - sounds like you had a great trip and Oscar was the accomplished traveller
Mel - was thinking similar things about Julie - I'm hoping its just too much m/s at worst that is keeping her away.
Nic - 2nd birthdays already!!!! :) unbeleiveable that we are entering that milestone already
Rory, Amanda, Ali - hi!!!! hope you had a good weekend
anyway had better go and hope everyone has a good week

Jess - sounds like a you had a wonderful night!!! Have you found somewhere to live yet? or are you aloud to stay?
Jaspen- glad most the water is missing you... I am so sick of the rain and mozzies the kids are stuck in the house most the time because as soon as you step out side we are getting swamped! poor Kai is covered in the and as she swells up they look gross.. Plus when the weather is wet like this my eyes dont stop running and they are just so ichy I am about to go to the chemist and get more drops...Hows the m/s going almost over yet?
Bath- you have to start taking some more "ME" time as hard as that is.. Must be hard for Verity as this is the 'why me' stage in life and now heaven forbid she has to help out with her siblings... My poor older sister had to almost raise my 2 younger sisters and I. which I now see as no foult of eaither of my parents but when your mum is sick as mine was and your dad has to work all day to feed all of you, there's not much else you can do. she did go through a big why me stage in life... But soon got over it but not until she grew up a bit..
Well I am stressing about moving and finding rentals as I keep getting told by everyone that it is very hard to find rentals down in melb, Is this true or is this more for the city we hope to move to berwick or mornington area as this is where BHL likes would any of you know how hard it is to rent down in those areas?
-
Just wanted to drop in quickly, Bath thanks so much for the new Av it's just awesome, I love it.
I've been feeling really tired and sick so will drop back in when I'm feeling a bit better.
hugs xoxo

oh amanda I was hoping you would be real lucky with m/s this time round - here's hoping it is short lived and doesn't hold you captive to the couch for too long

Hi all sorry it has been so long between posts but I have been having a really tough time trying to be a mummy of 2, especially when I have a baby that doent settle and feeds continously. However, having said that after trying every product I could get my hands on to cure colic, i finally tried some formula, which for the first time in 5 weeks led to one happy and relaxed baby, no trapped wind, sleeping for longer than 20 mins at a time, so after much heartache and guilt I decided to wean him and I am so glad I did because he is a different baby.
.
Amanda- Sorry m/s has hit, I hope it doesnt hang around too long.
Tali- I hate moving house, luckily I have never moved interstate, I hope it all comes together quickly for you.
Jess- Sounds like you had a wonderful night out, it is so great to just get out and do something you really enjoy.
Bath- Sorry to hear that you are still not feeling well. I hope the boys are well enough to go to Daycare this week. Did your Mother's helper work out or are the boys going to daycare instead?
Maya- Great to see you back, and hear that you had a great time. I can't wait to start travelling with our kids. Canada is my ideal holiday destiantion, I have wanted to go and watch a live ice hockey game for as long as I can remember.
Congrats to Dee on the birth of her second baby boy- fingers crossed that he is a better sleeper for her than Lachlan was.
Anyway I had better go and do something while both my babies are sleeping.
-
Maya - your phone camera is great. The pics are so clear I would never have guessed it was from a phone. My SIL took the photo of Marley and I just love it. Captures her cheeky spirit. Looks like you might be visiting the local laundromat? The weekend is looking much cooler so you might be needing some of those warmer clothes. Ready for uni to start next week?
Tali - I will PM you facebook details. I don't use it too much, just when I am bored which is not that often these days. LOL about May holding hands with a boy, how cute. Chelsea seems to like playing with boys too. How sweet that Zayden is protective of her, brotherly love. I think rental properties are hard to find all over Melbourne. I would start looking now as something may come up that is available when you are coming down. Maybe even ring some agents in the area you are looking at, asking them to let you know if any come up. And if you keep checking with them, they will remember you and hopefully have something for you.
Bath - how awful that you ended up in hospital! How are you feeling today? You must have been a bit freaked out. Glad DH was there to help out. The staple diet of every dad looking after the kids - pizza LOL!! Lets hope your day care arrangement works well this week, I am sure you could do with a bit of a breather. I am at work Tues, Thurs & Fri.
Jess - sounds like heaps of fun and pics look great. Excuse my ignorance but who is Catherine? Are you watching Adam on It Takes Two? He seems like such a gentleman. What's he like? Glad you went with outfit #2.
Jaspen - glad to hear you have not floated away! The rain looks so bad, have you been getting it as bad as Mackay? I have no idea how far away you are from there?
Amanda - your new av looks brilliant. Hopefully that made you smile and feel better, even if only for a little bit.
Ali - its great to hear that things have improved for you. Must make a difference for everyone.
We lost power last night at home from 6.30-10.30pm. I wouldn't have done very well in the "olden days"! It was so boring, I was even trying to read with my torch, not so good for the eyes. No air con or fans, the house was so stuffy. Thankfully it went back on so I could iron work and school clothes. I bought $100 worth of meat yesterday, which thankfully survived in the freezer.
Hi to Julie & Rory.
Best get back to do some work :)

Hi my lovely Junie-mums
Amanda ? :confetti:HUGE Congratulations :confetti:? sorry haven?t been on for nearly a month so missed your news. I?m so excited for you and sending pink vibes your way! Ouchy at Cody?s lip ? hope that?s all better now. Your boys look great in their school uniforms, you must be so proud. Another great Bath ? Avvy!! Hope you don?t have too much bother with m/s.
Tali ? glad may had a great day at school ? the photos are lovely ? she looks so grown up. Good luck with your move ? when will that be happening?
Dee ? ahh at Nathan?s jocks! We?ve only just got there with Oscar literally in the last couple of weeks so haven?t started with Will yet although he wont be long ? he keeps saying weewee and trying to pull down his nappy and sit on the loo ? we let him but I don?t think he quite gets the sensations yet as he?s not done one yet! Glad you are back on BB. Will look you up in FB now that ive enough energy to get back on the pute!
Mel ? ouchy at Marley?s lip ? hopefully all better by now. What a little Houdini getting out of a nappy with tape on! Glad Chelsea?s first day went great too ? she looks so gorgeous and grown up too in her photos! Sounds like she is doing so well in school and as a lovely little lady as well from her teacher?s home visit. Glad Marley is going well in cr?che too. Thanks for asking about my lack of posts! Haven?t been on for around a month due to being so tired. I?ve been sleeping when the boys sleep at lunch times then until the weekend ive been on the sofa from 4pm onwards ? poor james was coming home from 12 hour days then having to cook dinner, tidy it all up, put kids to bed just while I lay there! Turns out my iron was really low at 3 (should be between 11-15) so ive been on iron tablets for the last week and have really felt a difference. Plus most of the nausea has gone now so I feel like a new woman ? yay!
Rory ? what lovely boys you have ? I love the photo of Flynn in the big hat and shows and pmsl at him picking your nose! We do the please and thankyous before and after everything and they mostly do it themselves or I just remind them and they repeat it back to me. Whenever I ask them to do something I always (well until the 10th time and then it might be something else!) say please so hopefully they?re picking it up of me too.
Nic ? glad Tyron?s Christening went well ? scary monkey Nixon doing a runner!
Jaspen- how are you going? Hope the m/s has worn off for you now. Glad to hear you?re not flooded out ? typical though we wanted a wet season and didn?t get one for the 4 summers we were in tsv and then the last 2 that we haven?t been there they?ve been as wet as! Don?t envy the humidity though ? can remember being a very sweaty person for 6 months of the year ? I used to wear make up all the time but gave up in tsv as it just slid off after 5 minutes! ? haven?t got back into it though ? need a nice outing for an excuse to ?doll-up? now which is once in a blue moon. Can I ask who you have as your ob? I had Dr Heymann for both of my boys.
Ali ? sorry to hear you are having such a rough time with Liam?s sleeping. Glad it?s improved with the weaning, definitely don?t feel guilty 9although I know easier said than done) as it sounds like it was for the best all round.
Dee ? congrats on your new little boy ? hope all is well for you.
Maya ? glad you had a great trip and that Oscar did so well on the flights. Will check out your pickies in fb.
Bath ? sorry to hear of your scare in hossy ? glad it wasn?t anything too major. Bummer on Wade waking up ill on the first daycare day! Hopefully it will work out for you this week. I?ll hopefully ask you to do me a new avvy soon but will wait until ive had the scan later this week just to make sure all is ok.
Sorry I?ve not been in for a while, we?ve just had so much going on and the tiredness has just been extreme this pregnancy so just didn?t have any energy to do computer stuff! We had some more crap with the house, rocks being thrown at our garage door in the night, which is now all dinted in and this made us so frightened that we wanted to move out and didn?t sleep at night for about a week after. That was nearly a month ago and we haven?t had any problems since and the security has been improved on the estate so that?s great.
We went away last Wednesday to Sunday to Dunsbrough (spelt wrongly me thinks) as james had this writing retreat down there for some geo book they are writing and I had to tag along with the kids as we had the timber floors finally put into the living areas so now the house is feeling abit more finished. Both james and I are feeling so much more positive about things since we got back so hopefully all will be good now. We?ve had a crappy few months (not as a couple ? just so much crap happening all around) since moving in here but hopefully that corner has been turned and we are so much happier.
And the iron tablets have worked wonders ? have been catching up on about 5 pages worth of Junie exploits and writing this since this boys went down 1 ? hours ago! I feel like a new person! Just the scan to go on Thursday and if everything?s alright then we?ll be sorted. I wasn?t paranoid with either of my other pregnancies, just sailed through them but ive been convinced something is not right with this one and my bump or lack of it is so small I am still sleeping on my tummy. Hopefully its just the negative things that have been going on around me and not the actual baby so I will know on Thursday ? can?t wait!
My parents arrive on March 3rd for around a month so I?m really looking forward to that. James and I are thinking about going away just for a couple of days and leaving the kids with them as ive never been away from them. We?ll definitely go out for a few meals while they are here too.
My boys are doing great, Oscar is finally toilet trained ? yay! (still poos in his night nappy but I don?t care about that!) so is in big-boy jocks all day and for his day sleep! He has started 3 year old kindy which is only 2 hours on a Monday morning but he really likes it and Will is enjoying spending time with just me. We do his swimming lessons then will hopefully get into the habit of doing the shop as its so much easier with 1! Will is running around still with attitude and can talk in little sentences now. He?s so cute when he?s talking to Oscar ? they get on so well im so pleased I had them so close together. They fight occasionally but soon get over it.
All in all everythings good here now, so glad to catch up with you all and will hopefully be back on the scene now!
Julie x
PS - all the ? in my writing are from me writing it in word so i didn't lose it and it seems to have replaced all of my punctuation with ?!!!!!
-

Julie- Dont worry too much about the " bad " feeling you are having I had them with my 3rd also I was told by my mum that she had them for all of us from the 3 rd on wards I think it has something with us always thinking to your self how could I be so lucky a 3rd time What did I do to desive such happy healthy baby's, Now that we are thinking about having a 4th I am already having these thoughts will I get pregenat will I have another happy baby all these thing seem to be normal.. I too slepted of my tummy much longer with Kai than I did with the other, made your body just gets used to been PG..
Not much else to write today quite boring really kai has done a few more wee's in the toilet but more of them have been on the floor!!! I have email a few realestates about us moving and need a house by june but so far no one has contated us, so I might wait a little longer and ring a few in March/april...

Hi girls - esp Julie - welcome back to our forum ;)
Gotta be real quick cause I am at work (doing 2 days a week - Tues and Thurs - DH is home with the boys and so far so good!!) Took Ollie to the MCHN yesterday - all is well - long and skinny like his dad and brother. Cutest thing was when the nurse was checking Ollie's hips and measuring him and stuff, Flynn got reallly upset and protective. He was gibbering and pointing at the nurse and yelling "Ollie Ollie Ollie" and crying. I can't believe his protective feelings are so strong already!!
Prob;em is those protective feelings don't stop him from bashing Ollie in the face with his matchbox cars when he "plays" with him!! LOL!!
ETA: Maya did you use the Ergo when Oscar was a newborn? I am finding it hurts my back to use it cause OIllie sits so far off my centre of gravity (sitting sideways in the newborn insert). Did you find it got more comfy as Oscar got older?
-
Hi Julie- Great to see you back, I cant believe you are in your second tri already too, that has gone so fast. We will have to try and catch up again really soon.
Well after more stressful days and unsleeping baby I took Liam back to the GP yesterday and it looks like he has Silent reflux, we started him on Infants Gaviscon last night and OMG he is like a different baby already, he has finished 2 bottles in a row instead of only taking 60-70ml, he has fallen asleep feeding which he has never done, even as a tiny baby when i was bf, and he went back to bed this morning after only being asleep a couple of mins and has stayed asleep. It is such a relief to have found something that has worked as it was all getting pretty stressful.
Anyway I had better go and make the best of the time while he is sleeping, and I might even manage to get out the house today.
-
Rory lol at Flynn been protective over Ollie and then hitting him, I think all kids are like that, I know that my boys are, noone can hurt their brother/s only them,.
Ali I'm so happy that you have found out what is been going on with Liam, I hope that this will be an uphill win for you now with his sleeping.
Julie I must admit that I went looking about a week ago to see when you last posted, I'm happy to see you back and yay to making it into the second tri. Yay for Oscar been toilet trained.
Bath I hope that you have been feeling a bit better now that you meds have been uped.
Maya good to hear your holidays went well and it's good to see you back.
Hi to Nic, Tali, Jaspen and Jess, I hope you are all well.
Well I'm going alright the m/s comes and goes and the heats not helping much. Cody is been a cheeky little bugger, getting into everything and then giving you the cute butter wouldn't melt in my mouth look. Ok I'll be off to do some house work, oh joy ;).
hugs xoxo
