CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA AND FAMILY...
Hi everyone, just popping myhead around the corner and saying hello- I have been sooooooooo busy of late- still trying to get my head around mum of 2, work and all the stuff that goes along with general life as well, but you get that.
All is well here, the kids are both doing superbly- Liam is close to walking, he is up to about 7 or 8 steps in a row now, and Tori is just Tori, being 2 and trying to assert herself, and just having some of the most wonderful conversations, her new thing is to say "I love you all the stars in sky", because every night when she goes to bed I tell her I love her as much as all the stars in the sky- she is just tooooooooooooooooooooo cute. She has her first birthday party at a play centre today and is super excited!!!
I hope everyone is well, and happy! Congrats to Amanda on the arrival of her little man, makes me cluck cluck cluck!
Hi girls, like Ali just popping my head in between kid-wrangles :) Congrats to Amanda - like Ali it makes me clucky, but I will have to wait til my turn (hopefully) in Feb next year.
Better go - am using MIL's PC and she has one of those annoying microsoft split keyboards which is doing my head in LOL!!!
LOL We used to have one of those keyboards Rory... you eventually get used to it.
Well I'm at the local library! having a bit of 'me time'. Lovely and quiet here :) and a huge big monitor!
Went to the baby and child expo yesterday... met lots of BB members. It was a good day. I just took Wade. There was a free Dorothy the Dinosaur concert and lots of activites forhim... and then icecream with all the gang at the Casino. About 20 of us met up in all. I met Maz, Raven, Nai, RayRay, and Nelle (to name a few of the old-timer BB members). Wade took some group photos (his services as a photographer are becoming very handy!) and I'll post the piccys up soon.
Love to all :)
Bummer would have loved to have gone Bath but we took the boys down to Warragul to visit the in-laws yesterday. Just got back now - have a shocking case of hayfever - this is the first spring I haven't been pg or BF in 4 years and boy do I feel the lack of hormones to ward off the symptoms (pharmacist told me that female hormones act as steriods to minimise hayfever effects - cool, huh?)
nightnight :)
*Knock Knock* Does anyone remember me???
I am so very sorry I have neglected my Junies for so long, but I was just talking to Maya on FB, so I thought I would pop in here and say hi!
Well we have been extremely busy over the past couple of months. James quit his job at the servo after not getting enough hours and some other stuff which incidently happened to me. I fell over at the servo, injuring my knee quite badly ( I was on crutches for 10 weeks!). Everyone treated James like **** after reporting the accident and he started getting less and less hours so he thought he would leave. But things are looking up. James put his name down for the new McDonalds that is openening and he got a fulltime job, so in December he'll be working again!
The kids are doing really well! Pat is such a little independent soul these days, he rides his little tricycle through the house (yes we don't believe in leaving it outside, no matter how many times Mummy says NO!) feeding his new "tooks" and collecting the single egg we get every 2nd day! He has also started the "why" stage! and the "wuv ya very much" stage of his development...
He is such a joy to be around though! The kids adore him and he and Bella are the best of friends....sometimes!!! LOL
Better head off as I have to wash the kids school clothes! Love yas!
HI Ladies
a quick hello from me also - as long as all are asleep - which doesn't happen very often and doesn't last very long.
Happy belated birthday to tyron - his photos are lovely on FB, and happy belated anniversery to Mel - sounds like you had an awsome day!
Mostly ok here - Isla is an angel and sleeps 6-8 hours a night, she is a lovely smiley girl who is growing up so fast - she is only just 2 months and is now in 3-6 months clothes! Ive got so many summer clothes for he its just rude! she could wear a different item every day fo rthe next 6 months and still not get through everything - both mum and me went abit mad after 2 blue ones! We got some lovely pressies too so shes starting wearing them.
The boys are the otherhand are nightmares. their behaviour is attrocious and i get quite embarrassed when i take them out - ive ended up with the brats i always criticised (silently) other people had before kids! Oscar just doesn't listen to anything i say and William is so stroppy and rude its just not funny - well sometimes it is but he makes me cry more than laugh. I need to get some help with them soon as they are really getting me down. I went to Ngala (WA parenting advise place) in June about Oscar and i rang them yesterday but they close your file after a few months so i would have to start again by ringing their helpline and i just couldn't do that. maybe later. I do know some Ngala ladies near where i live so i may try and talk to them but its embarrasing when you know them already.
Anyway, enough whinging and me posting, ought to get on with doing stuff while there is a microsecond of peace in the house.
Take care an love to my Junies
Julie x
Julie your not alone we all go though this stage in life  I lost count the amount of times I thought to myself " I have the most misbehaving children in the world!!! " Or " what kind of animals are you as they are human "....
Dont be imbarassed by them just carry on the best you can as though they arent tearing though the shops and looking under all the dress's of maniquen's ( sp?) and some that might not have been , Just think to yourself that those people who are looking are one of two thing the " HAVE NOTS " Thoses who have NOT yet had the joys of children or have NOT yet had toddlers/children and only have there sweet NOT yet moving babiesor they are " BEEN THERE DONE THAT's and they are proble looking and thinking should I go over and help her out or would I get my head bitten off, or thinking " Thank God mine are in SCHOOL.... So please please please dont think it just you... They are just been kids this is what kids do and now that they know that mum is busy or that mum wouldnt dare do anything in fount of people they will test you every chance they get.... Chin up I hope you feel better about the little mites soon...
Hey Jess good to hear from you again sounds like life is getting better for you...
well BHL was driving me nut the last few days ( doesnt help I have a cold so wasnt up to to much DTD while he is ALWAYS ready and feels annoyed that I am not when he only has 5 days home lol too bad for him.... Anyway he is now Ummming and Arrring about when he actully wants to leave Melb we had decided on the end of Jan but now he is unsure if we will have the money by then and wants to wait until April.... otherwise we might have to take out a loan just to make sure we have enough $$$ when its needed... I dont see the deference whats 2 mths going to do... Not much... Anyway he decided that End of March start of April would be better, so while driving him to the train station I told him I would have to re-enrol the kids as I told the school last week that would be finishing up at the end of the year, and he told me not to do that yet he want to see what happens in the time he is away... So now I dont know if I am Arther or Martha... So I guess I will leave it as it is for now and see what he wants to do when he is home in two weeks.... Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Men cant live with them cant live without them!!!!
Bath - I feel terrible assuming they were girls, how bad is that!!! I wouldn't worry, I could never imagine your boys hanging with a crowd like that. I have been in a baking frenzy since getting my mixer. I've done lemon curd tarts, cookies, cakes and a custard tart yesterday (DH's favourite). I just love it!
Ali - wow, I can't believe Liam is nearly walking. Time is really flying. Tori just sounds so cute and I can imagine her saying those things after seeing her FB pics. How did she enjoy her first party?
Rory - great to see you pop your head in, how is DH doing? Your hayfever any better?
Jess - great to hear from you too. Hope DH enjoys his new job. Is your knee any better?
Julie - Isla is just so gorgeous, her FB photos are great. I love being able to see them grow as it does happen so quickly. Girls clothes are so addictive, and I can say that it doesn't stop as they get older!! I totally agree with Tali, you are not the only one to have the "crazy" kids. I think everyone one of us here with slightly older children has had "episodes". The new addition usually has an impact on their behaviour and what one does, the other usually does too. Patience is not something I have alot of, so I sympathise with you. Its hard but I am sure it will get better as the boys find their new position in the house. Trying to find what punishment works is good, as I'm sure each one has something different. Just wanted to give you a huge  and let you know that we are all here for you.
Tali - great post! You have a great way with words. Why are men always ready and raring to go, whenever, wherever??? I'd love their stamina sometimes LOL!! You must get frustrated not knowing what is going on. Especially as you have to enrol the kids in school etc. Are you Arthur or Martha today? You poor love!
Work is getting much busier so I haven't had as much time to get on BB. My new mixer is taking up my time too, I've been going crazy baking. DH is loving it!
Chelsea has her dance concert in a couple of weeks so she has been having extra rehearsals etc so that is taking up a bit of time too. She is getting very excited and we can't wait to see it. Last years concert was amazing so I am sure this year's will be even better. Marley is so into dancing, she copies (or tries to) all of Chelsea's moves and usually in a costume of some sort. She also tries to sing along which is pretty funny. She is such a funny little thing, continually making us laugh at her antics - both good and bad. She got her first face painting on Sunday at a birthday party and she sat so still and it looked gorgeous (I put some pics of it on FB). She didn't even try to rub it off and was really annoyed when we got home and I tried to wash it off!
Better get back to it. Love to you all.
Hey girls, flying visit to say hi then bye before we fly out to NZ tomorrow :) Howdy to Jess, Julie and Tali and Mel my hayfever is much better! DH is good too
better go - its 10.30pm and we have to leave the house by 6.30 tomorrow morning -eek!
I THINK I have packed everything.........;)
Hiya all, just popped in to say that Liam turned 10 months yesterday and decided that it was good day to start walking - he is walking all the time now, :( cant believe he is so grown up already!
i am madly trying to get stuff organised for my reports for school, feeling like I am drowning under a tonne of school work, but there is only 8 weeks to chrissy holidays now and I am sure it will just fly.
Have a great trip, Rory! Hope you're flying Air NZ - best food and inflight decor ;)
How did you score the dud time of 6.30??? Yuk! Oh, well, at least you get more of the day when you arrive!
I'll find out how my sister does the trans-tasman trip on her own with a child in a few weeks when I head over with Oscar, to catch my niece's 2nd birthday...I know we'll be fine, 3.5 hours compared to 27 hours on a plane...no worries!
Tali - what Mel said! You've got a way to come out with pure gold, woman :)
Julie - the boys sound like they are challenging you ATM, I'm going to copy what Bath always says; "this, too, shall pass"...(sorry to steal your thunder, Bath!).
Amanda - congrats on your little boy!! I hope all is going very well and can't wait to read your update.
Mel - sounds like you had an ace anniversary! And all that pastry making is making me salivate...
Jess - was great chatting with you on FB the other night :)
Over here things are weird. They are good but they are baaaaad. Uni is a bit up in the air this semester - I have an assignment that is overdue and I"m scrambling to get it done with only two days a week for study time. When MIL has Oscar she doesn't have him long enough for me to get stuck into it, so that's a PITA. Anyway, I hope a not from my uni counsellor can smooth things over for me, so that I can get the assignment done and have a deferred exam. This is why I've been MIA - real life has me caught up in the swirl.
Oscar is doing ace things in many respects. He is a gun in the pool (diving in and doing underwater somersaults, for example), great on all his wheels (scooter, trike and little car thing), and really, REALLY into horses (woo hoo!). Ever since we got onto the Silver Brumby animation DVD, he's been even more nuts for horses. So, today we went together to my horse and we had a ride together for the first time without a helper. When he got tired of riding, he slipped off and played in the sand (the arena is a sand one...duh, that's the latin word for sand!), then asked to come back up, then wanted Babu and was quite insistent on it. Well, I didn't want to dismount and mount all over again (we were bareback) so I just flipped him round and fed him...bareback Babu!! It was definitely a highlight of our breastfeeding journey and there was no-one to share it with! My GF came up with a fantastic idea, though - get a photo of it, with a bit more preening and preparation to submit for the ABA calendar...so now I'm thinking on it quite seriously!
Anyway, Oscar's being a real gem - he's everything and more that I never even thought I wanted out of having a child. I'm getting such a buzz out of him, and this is also why it's hard to concentrate on getting all my uni stuff done - this time doesn't have a 'pause' button.
Better get to bed, we have a big day tomorrow - going to a semi-local Agi show, then a friend's birthday in Warburton, then back to dinner with my parents, then a night out with DP to a local to see my friend's band play :)
I'm lurking, but probably won't post again till things have settled down a bit with uni.
Take care, all!!
ETA: Just saw your post, Ali - good luck with reports...crunch time for you, too!!
Hi All,
Just thought i would let you know that Jules (Ronan's mum) had her little bubba last week!!
Tristan was born on the 28th October at 36+5days weighing 3.15kg
He spent a couple of days in SCN but she was able to take him home with her! I've seen a few pics and he is a real cutie, Ronan is a very proud big brother.
Nixon has a speech therapist appointment on Monday, his ears/throat recovering well and has another hearing test in 4 weeks.
Hi girls, sorry I have been MIA for ages, or so it feels like and I come back and not much has happened!!! I thought I would be trawling through posts but its been very quiet.
My best friend from Brisbane arrived on 29th October to stay with us for 8 days. She left on Thursday which was very sad. We had a fabulous time, apart from the average weather. Poor girl was freezing most nights. The kids all got along well. There was a few dust ups, mainly over the swing outside. It was very funny to watch how they deal with it. It started with Marley being the pushy one, then Bella started to work out how to fight back which was good for Marley to experience as she is always the one doing the pushing. We went to the zoo last Sunday and had a great time, its such a lovely place and the kids loved seeing the animals. They also have a beautiful old carousel which I think has just been put in (next to the great kids playground). We had a halloween party and all the kids got dressed up. Pics will be on facebook soon as I have some time. We also did a cup day luncheon. We asked the kids to pick a horse from the big coloured sweep page and Bella's horse won netting her $152 from a $5 bet. Not bad for a 2 year old!!! Her mum very kindly took us all out for dinner on the Wednesday night to celebrate their last night here.
Marley is starting to chat up a storm (just like her mum!!!) and words a very clear now. Her latest is "mine" or "Marley's" to everything. Chelsea had her dance concert last night which was brilliant, she did her tap and jazz routine so well and we were very proud of her. They had over 300 people in the theatre and she didn't even appear nervous.
My oven died on Halloween so no pastry treats for me at the moment. Feel like I am having withdrawals from my mixer. Hopefully our electrician can fix it next week.
Rory - how was NZ? Bet you all had a fabulous time.
Ali - congrats on Liam walking. He really is growing up fast. How did the report writing go? 7 weeks till christmas, scary!!!
Maya - I would love to see that picture, how cool!!! I can just see you doing it too. Fantastic! How did you go with the deferred exam?
Nic - glad to hear everything went well with Nixon's surgery. Congrats to Jules on the birth of Tristan (I think she was before my time?)
Amanda - hope things are going well with Julian.
Hope everyone else is doing well and now things have settled down a bit here, I will be back on as regular as clockwork!!!
What a shame your GF isnt down this week Mel its always the way isnt...
I have got to say before I write any thing else....
I am LOVING this weather
Well bet you didnt think I would be sayint that a few mths ago!! Isnt this heat wonderful I feel like I have finely defrosted... I just wish it would say as i know when the change comes its going to kill me
Anyway BHL has just been and gone, and I feel so bad for him he has the worst hayfevior (sp?) while home his nose is like a tap and sneezing all the time and his eyes were red raw, I reacon in a way he couldnt wait to leave, he says it clears up when he is in Brissy for the night, and course dsoesnt get it at the site...
Well looks like BHL got the pay rise he was after  not a huge one but it all counts, they only gave it too him because another company was trying to pouch him, but at least it give me a little scuirty know that they are willing to give him more to keep him...
May has started her prep orentaion once a fortnight for an hour and she loves it... Me not so much as I just sit around doing nothing for an hour while she does her stuff, and last time they gave the parents a slide show that went for an hour it was so dull I was glad when Kai got board and started to play up as it gave me a reason to leave and let her play is the playground...
Zay got his report back fromthe psy wasnt too good she seams to think that he is only in the 4 % for his age group, so not very good at all, but I still dont think he is a stupid as she is trying to make out in the report, but then again I am just his mother and not the expert so maybe I dont know him as well as I thought, but in at the end of the day if this means he will get more one on one attention in class it can only help him...
Kai is becoming a Mayleaka clone everything May does she has to do also, which can be very cute but also twice as annoying...Her speech is slowly getting there, more and more words are coming out, we have no more day nappys she does both 1's and 2's in the loo and even wipes her own bum... She only has about one wet nappy a week so should really start to take them off her too now its getting warm enough to dry the bed if it gets wet...
This must be the longest running thread, it started in May!!! We are getting slack! Where is everyone lately? Busy like I have been no doubt.
Well work has been chaotic, this time of year is always busy but its been extra busy. I am working extra hours and days here and there which doesn't leave much time for BB. I have had a run of bad luck with speeding fines. In 15 years I haven't had any and so far I have 4...yes 4! Nearly $600 worth right before xmas. Even two on the one day. I can try to get off one of them but not the others. DH is calling me leadfoot! All of them were only 6kms over. Very angry with myself. All this extra work will go to paying them.
Girls are great. Marley has found her voice and does not shut up! She constantly chats, all day. Latest is "what you doing" and when I tell her she asks again. I haven't really done much in the TT department but when I have time off over xmas I will start. Getting rid of her dummy will be the next thing. Maybe Santa might want it??? Chelsea is getting ready for Grade 1 and is very excited about it. I can't believe the year is almost over.
Tali - I bet your love of the weather has stopped pretty quickly!!! It feels like winter out there tonight. You must be very excited to be moving back to sunny Cairns. When will you be leaving? Would love to catch up with you before you go. That's fantastic news that DH got his payrise, well deserved. Hopefully you move back to Cairns will help Zayden, being in a place he likes more. I hear you on the copying front. Marley has to do everything Chelsea does including food, playing, clothes, hair clips, the list goes on. All she says is "me too" and gets most upset if it can't happen! Kai is doing an awesome job with her TT, you might have to share you tips with me.
Bath - saw the preg announcement, how exciting for Ang. How are you doing? Is Wade getting excited about starting Prep?
How is everyone else? Please everyone, come back!! I miss hearing all the Junie goss and there must be lots to tell after all this time.
Better go and turn the electric blanket on, will definitely need it tonight.
Hiya Mel :) (and of course all the Junies!) I'm still around BB... been doing lots of avatars and updates lately... BG needed a preggy belly, Beatrix requested one, an avvy was requested for Gigi (her cloth nappy buddies bought her Life membership... there's a thread in Plat about it all)... and I'm currently working on avvies for two other members... avvies take on average about 2 hours to make and this has seriously eaten into my BB time of late... oh and I've got caught up in a few juicy discussions (as has Mayaness *waves*)... you are right... life has a way of getting so busy. All is well though... Wade has been going to orientation classes for Prep next year (so far so good)... Verity has had her ups and downs but is still a mad keen athlete which keeps her on the right track in more ways than one! Niall is doing fine, picking up too many of Verity's swear words :( but otherwise his vocal abilities are the most developed of all my three children at the same age. DH has resigned from the bank at which he has worked for the past 21 years... because he has been head-hunted by the opposition (and he accepted their offer, as of last Wednesday). And I am resigned to not moving closer to my sis (rosehannah) and family but as Dh's salary is going to rise by 46% I'm taking solace in that! Today I had brekkie in the CBD and did some Chrissy shopping (I hadn't started until today).... and bought myself a new jacket from a store called Chelsea (thought of your DD Mel and how I have some more of Verity's clothes for her)... it was a real extravagance to buy something so new and expensive ($275 shhhhh!) but I have quite a few end of year functions to attend and I haven't spent that much on a single item of clothing for nearly 10 years... and damn it suits me! LOL I actually did tell DH how much it cost and he was totally fine with it *phew*. So if any of you Melbourne Junies are coming to the BB Chrissy dinner on Saturday the 6th of December I will most likely be wearing this jacket! Gotta justify the cost now! Loving the cold weather too... did anyone get hail this morning? I'd be great to have an encore on Christmas day so that we can really enjoy our roasts (if we are having that). Happended a few years ago... didn't it even snow? Bring it on!
Well I'm on my 2nd glass of kir (French apertif, Chardonnay and Raspberry liqueur)... and Dh is cooking the most delish smelling curry... better get back to the boys... or at leat encourage them to keep watching Chicken Little on tv so I can look for avvy bits and pieces for the ones I'm working on!
Hello all....
Bath thats great news about DH getting hunted, LOL werent we both just saying a few months ago that our DH/BHL were asking for pay rises.... the way the world works is amazing sometimes maybe there is something to all the humbo jumbo that Oprah keeps going on about " Ask the univise and it will deliver ".... I had no idea that Avvy took so long can anyone make them or are a speaical program? I am going to ask BHL if I can sign up as a member this pay ( seeing it our 1st pay with the pay rise  ) I figgered I have been on here long enough I should show my support of the site...
I am not going to the dinner but I am going to go to the brunch in the fizroy gardens on the 7th, If I can work out how to get there, might use the train, Is anyone else going to the sunday one? ....
you will just have to post a photo of your jacket so we can all have a look either here or FB what ever's easier.... bet it looks fab....
Mel 4 speeding tickets !!!! you poor thing its so easy down here to get them... I know BHL would have a field day if I got that meny... But cant be helped at least you werent going a huge amount over the limit....
Mmmm Tips for TT the main one I always use is to train without knickers first as I found with all my winkies the knicker just confused them and they would wet and poop in them all the time but once they got the hang of going to the toilet the knicker thing has been fine... Just remember that no two kids are the same so she will train at a different pase to what Chelsea did, I remember I thought that there must have been something wrong with May as Zayden had trained before he was 2 and there she was at 3yrs 7 mths still wetting and pooping on the floor... but as always one day she just woke up and got it....you can only show them what it is they are meant to do they have to work out the rest...
Maya I hope you are having a great time in NZ I have loved the photo ( makes me want to go over and have a look for myself )
Hello to Julie, amanda, rory,Nic,jess and Ali ... I guess you are all very busy with your other bubs and christmas , But as Mel said come back the junies miss you lol...
Well yes Mel I am not liking this weather anymore whats happened.... Bath how could you even wish that apone anyone snow for Christmas Yuck!!!! actully I was down here that year that it was so very very cold 2 yrs ago I think... I was at mum and dad's new house in Inverloch and boy o boy was it cold down there, but we were all a little disapointed as the year they move down the coast was the year it snow at there old house in Ferny Creek ( well the hills snowed anyway so we would have been close enough to go take a look ) but thats how life goes I guess....
For those of you who dont know or didnt read FB or my semi Woo Hoo, We are moving back to Cairns in April.... I can bearly belive it myself, if someone had asked me 12 mths ago if I would ever be back I would have said no way no how.... But things change, weathers to cold, its where the family wants to be, we knpow the place really well, Plus as you all know I hate the cold and as I even got cold living up there I dont think even Brisbane would be warm enough for me... I like my heat so why not live were its always warm, so be it sometimes too warm ( sticky ) but no where is perfect.... It has made me happy to see the winkies so excited to be going back which makes it all worth while... At least this means ( if we live in the right zone ) that the winkies can go back to there old school...
Well hope everyone enjoys their sunday....
Bath - I have been following your creations, they are all fantastic and sounds like the girls really appreciate them - WELL DONE! Glad to hear Wade is enjoying orientation its such an exciting time for them. Verity must really love her sport which is great, I think its such a good interest to have, keeps her off the streets (so to speak!). How awesome that DH has a new job and that extra salary must bring a smile to his face (and yours)!!! I bet you will look hot in your new jacket, and think of it as an investment in the future. A quality jacket will last for years. Can't make the xmas do but would love to see photos. I must admit I am not loving this cold weather, I want some sunshine!!!
Tali - can't make the Sunday xmas party either, we have so many kids parties and have 2 on that day! Would have loved to gone to at least one of the gatherings. Thanks for the TT advice, will have to give it a try when I have holidays and the weather improves. I am wishing for warmer weather too but its not forthcoming yet! If DH had a job he could transfer, I would be up north myself. Maybe one day when he retires. I could see myself on the beaches of Noosa one day. I am so happy for you and the family, sounds like the best decision for all of you. I will be so jealous of you during our chilly Melb winter. Might have to come and visit.
I had a lovely "aahh" moment tonight. Both girls were sitting at their little table, both had a pad and paper and were sitting together, happily drawing and chatting. It was just gorgeous, one of the few times they have done something together without fighting or pulling things off each other. DH and I looked at each other and said, how nice would it be if it was like that all that time. I can only dream!
Better get myself moving, work tomorrow and a huge busy week ahead.
Hi to everyone!
Oh I know what you mean Mel regarding "ahhhh" moments :) My boys have them maybe once or twice a week... not yesterday though... this is what happened: It involved the Buzz Lightyear toy... both wanted it like it was a life-or-death. So Niall pulls out all stops and resorts to his weapon of choice: his teeth. He launches himself on Wade and manages to capture him by the thumb... that sensitive spot just near the nail bed. And he doesn't let go. Wade's lips turn purple in pain and he flings Niall around in an attempt to get him off.... and slams him into the kitchen table.... the corner of which gets him in the eye... he lets go of Wade's finger and opens him mouth in a silent scream... it takes him to the count of about 7 before he catches him breath enough to let out a howl of agony. I knew the worst immediately: it was going to be a shiner... and yep... the full "bloom" of black eye has blossomed today. He keeps looking in the mirror. He knows it was his fault. But Wade is also suitabley mortified. They have eased off a bit on the ferocity of their fighting today... but only slightly. Boys huh? Geeeeze.
I know *sigh*...Oscar grabbed a plastic hammer at playgroup on Monday and beat it against a 12-odd month old girl's head...very hard...3 times before we could get to them! It was bad slo-mo :(:
Boys huh? Geeeeze
Oscar's at my parents' tonight but I have no real time to post a decent post cos DP and I are going to redeem our Gold Class tickets! His boss gave them to him. Not sure if I've even posted that he has a job now - has it been that long since I had a proper catch up on here??
Anyway, Mel, I've been given some sort of reprieve - I've got an alternative assessment instead of my lab report (which kind of sucks cos even though it was way late with the special consideration attached, I put so much time and energy into the damn thing and it doesn't even count!), and it will have the same weighting. So, down on one side, up on the other because it's lab content, not a whole new assignment.
So sorry to hear about Niall's eye and Wade's mortification - learning curves for Niall!! Oscar will be integrated into the pre-school room till the end of the year at childcare, and next year that's where he'll be, so he'll model off the older kids and be 'sorted out', where the babies in the babies room can't do that!
Oooh, DP's finished his shower - time to put some nice smelly stuff on and go (just had yoga, in and out of this house like a yo-yo most days!).
Back soon, hopefully!
Hi All,
Tali- you'll be so happy once u get back where u know and love, glad you guys are happy about the decision!
Ouch to Niall & Wade, is it normal that my boys are fighting already?? Tyron grabs things that Nixon is playing with and throws them. Nixon is extremley emotional about it. Nixon sometimes pushes Ty and Ty sometimes bites Nixon.
update on Nixon; he had his speech assesment and i walked out feeling really good. it was nice seing him do things she asked her understand things he said. im sure she told me he was developing normal for a 2 1/2yr old. then the following day i received the assesment in the mail to say he has a Mild speech delay and that of a 1yr 8month old (at 2yrs 7months)
we dont need weekly visits but another appoint in 3months to asses his progress.
i can see it though, he definatley unserstands me and he is coming out with mroe and more but its just not clear. he chats all the time he is a chatterbox but its his pronounciation i think that he has dificulty with.
He has another hearing test in 2weeks time.
Tyron is very close to walking full time. he takes 4-5 steps no problem and he is strong enough but just prefers crawling at the moment. he walks easily holding one hand and today he got up himself without pulling up on anything!! he was very proud of himself.
i hope everyone is well
Hi Junies
Mel - thanks for your kind words about the boys behaviour - it does help - thanks. eeeek at the speeding fines! what abugger so close to Christmas. The very rare ahhhhh moments - they realy do make it all worthwhile doesn't it - they must have looked so sweet.
Bath - ive only just noticed my avvy - thanks so much it's great. Ouch at your boys fighting, sounds quite a full on one. woohoo at your dh getting a new job with a whopping pay rise! Hope he enjoys it, must be a great feeling to be headhunted.
Maya - sounds lik eyou had a fab time in NZ -im very envious, would love to go there. Enjoy your sprog-free 'gold class' night out.
Nic - oh yes, the fights start early! Good news that Nixon's speech seems to be improving. It doesn't seem 5 minutes since Tyron's birth announcement and now he's nearly walking - time is flying so fast.
Tali - Good luck with your move back to Cairns, i'm glad you are happy to go there - shame it's close to your MIL and away from your family but hopefully it will all work out well. Your tt of Kai sounds like it's going fantastic - woohoo! Thanks for your kind words also after my post about the boys behaviour.
Hi to Ali, Rory (hope hubbies heart is behaving), Jess, Amanda - (hope you are going well with Julian) and Ang (huge congrats again – hope you are feeling ok).
My Junie is doing ok. He talks like Oscar does now in full sentences and remember’s the strangest things! TT is not happening and I’m not forcing it – ill start once the weather gets warmer so he can go undyless – v scared about the poos though because if he has an accident – can’t bare to think about it as he does these super poos that even huggies biggest nappies can’t cope with and it leaks out so it would be a huuuuuge mess. He’s definitely aware when he’s going to do one though as he goes and hides so I guess I’ll have to be super vigilant.
The boys behaviour hasn’t been too bad in the last few weeks, still very full on but I guess that’s the price you pay for having 2 boys so close! They get on so well and are always telling each other that they love them and having cuddles, then the next breath it’s ‘I’m going away from you’ and punch!!
Oscar had his kindy orientation last week and he loved it – he can’t wait to go (and neither can I ) but he really needs it as he’s pretty bored at home as he doesn’t get much attention, especially not one on one as no one has day sleeps anymore – waaaaah!
Isla’s being the sweetest bub – she really is an angel. Sleeps mostly through till around 6 then goes staright back to sleep in bed with me until around 8.30 – 9!!!! She doesn’t sleep much in the day though which is a pain but I can’t have everything. She has a really lovely personality though and is so smiley, I’m savouring all her tiny babyness as it’s going so quickly – she is really long for her age (unusually as dh and I are relative shorties).
Anyway, better go, take care my lovely Junies
Julie xxx
Bath - a bit of rough and tumble with the boys! I was having a slight chuckle as I could just imagine it. Poor Niall with the black eye though, not nice. I don't think it's a boy thing as I've seen Marley launch at Chelsea before - she's a fiesty little thing. No biting yet, just plenty of hair pulling and pushing. Poor Chelsea would be mortified if Marley bit her, she carries on bad enough with the hair pulling.
Maya - welcome back!! Your trip looked amazing esp some of those beautiful photos. Bugger about the assignment, but hopefully you will get a great result for the lab report. We had a work lunch the other day and I sat with George, he's such a nice guy! Gold Class, how nice! What did you see, any good? Oscar will love being in the older room. Marley won't move up until her birthday next year. The room she is in now has a good mix of ages (b/w 2-3) and she loves it. Sad to think they are moving up the ranks!!!
Nic - I'm sure Nixon will catch up before you know it. Marley was very slow talking and almost ready for a trip to the speech therapist but thankfully it just started happening and now I can't shut her up!!! At least he can understand what you are saying, clearer speech will follow. Funny how they prefer crawling, must take alot more energy to crawl than walk.
Julie- I've paid one speeding fine, 3 to go! I'm with you on the TT, wait until the warmer weather. Oh no, the thought of a huge poo lying somewhere inside is awful!!! That's the part of TT I hate. At least wee is easy to clean up! I'm sure Oscar will love kinder and will give you a bit of a break. Isla sounds divine (and looks divine too!), and its great that you get a decent night sleep.
I'm at work today as I have a meeting in the city at 3.30pm which finishes at 5.30pm so I have to contend with peak hour traffic on the way home - GREAT!!! It's so beautiful outside, wish I could be home having fun in the garden with Marley. DH has the day off today and they were going to go for a walk and then the park.
Have a great day everyone.
Hi Guys,
I havent been on for ages i know but i saw Nickers the other day and it got me thinking that i should try to get back into it!
Things are hectic here. Cooper has been tested for Cystic Fibrosis, the test results came back negative today thank goodness! Dr just thinks its Asthma already. He wants me to put him on a preventer puffer but im a bit hesitant to start it just yet. I have taken him off Dairy and i have seen an improvement in his rattly chest and also in his eczema so im hoping that it will continue to improve.
Lachlan is going well, growing up. We are having terrible trouble getting him into bed at night he just keeps getting out, it can take us up to 3 hours of putting him back in only to have im toddle into our room in the middle of the night. The annoying thing is that if i put him into our bed he will go straight to sleep!!
He has also decided that he wont go to bed during the day anymore which is really annoying but it gets to this time of day about 3pm and he gets up on the lounge and has a little nap, i can hear him snoring now!
Mel - Whats the go with the speeding fines????? 4????
Julie - I understand about the poos, we have had a couple of massive accidents, luckily one was outside and the otherone was on the tiles near the back door! I sometimes feel like i should get a pooper scooper and follow him around like a puppy!
Isla sounds like a dream, i think if you can get a good night time sleeper you can cope with anything during the day! (i love the name too!)
Nickers - Good luck with Nixons hearing test, i think he will be fine. lachlan keeps asking me if he can go to ixons house to play!!
Maya - hope you had a great time out!!!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr I so had just posted something and not its not on here!!!!
Not that I had much to say...
Just wanted to let everyone know how wonderful it has been see the Junie thread in my in box each morning, just like old times before our bubs all got to big....
Mel be careful with those Arrrr moments thats how more babies are made ;) Its also why God makes babies so beautiful and anglic when a sleep... if it wasnt for these moments there wouldnt be any more than one child in each family
Well I can hear a storm coming so should really get of the computer as we lost our last one is a storm as it was on standby....
Gee I love a good storm nothing quite like them makes you feel alive ( well it does me anyway ) the best storms are in Darwin it makes the place come alive every wet... Its the one thing I miss about Darwin...
Niall is asleep in my arms... I thought we had weaned... apparently not! He is sick with gastro and was desperate for "bit more" (his words for a BF)... so just a short 1 finger typed post... but have to say :happybirthday: to Jess! Hope you are having a great day :)
Happy Birthday Jess!
Poor Niall, gastro is just the worst - you just watch all the life drain out of them...literally... I LOVE how handy BFing is when you've got sickies!
Or in our case, sickies, healthies, happies or saddies...we are still going quite convincingly and through the night :) I haven't been able to justify bringing in 'home BFing' and 'no BFing away from home', so Oscar knows no different about asking for Babu out at the shops, at uni, at the beach, at the pool, at a cafe, on the car (if we're heading home from uni and he knows it will be a bit of a drive home).
Also, I'm attempting to do Natural Infant Hygiene overnight. A little while ago he was waking up in the mornings with a completely dry nappy and now that I've done some reading on it (or EC, as it's also known) I've realised that that period was a major boat that I missed! So, last night, after giving DP a seeing to, I went into Oscar's bed and prompted him a few times over night when he was stirring into lighter sleep - he went once on the potty and the other two times he insisted he didn't need to go...and he didn't :) He was dry the whole night. I've been pretty sure that his Peapod is getting filled later in the morning, so I didn't put up resistance when he wanted his nappy off last night before bed and kept saying "no nappy". So far, so good, but that was only one night. I'm hoping to have a repeat of a few months ago, but forever! Apparently, night-dryness is the first instance of continence babies have when they are allowed to practice natural infant hygiene, so I'm figuring that he's out of day nappies, we're just working backwards.
I've submitted my alternative assessment for uni and if I pass it, I should pass the unit...I think. I just want to relax my brain and enjoy my boy!
His swimming is going extremely well, so much so that the owner of the swim school regularly comments on his skills (not in a 'gush', but in a 'no, really, he's very, very good, like prodigious but not sure I want to quite say that' tone). So we've been enjoying hours at the local outdoors pool, where he can jump in, we jump in together, he swims over to me, I can swim away from him and show him 'mummy dolphin', etc. It just means we can both have fun and not have to hold each other! Well, we ARE both water signs ;)
He's been integrated into the kinder room at childcare and that's where he'll be next year. It will be better for him to be in a room of older kids than the babies room, because the babies can't sort him out, socially, the way older kids can. So far he's loving it - they have a big train set!
DP and I went to see Burn After Reading, which was mad - we loved it. It was a silly treat - we spent more on food than his boss spent on tickets...and we didn't eat that much! Oh, well, was nice. Last week was his work Christmas dinner. Now I know why he likes it there - all the partners got better presents than the employees! Nah, it's a small company and the guy who runs it has some very sound people skills and absolutely believes in establishing great rapport with his staff. Probably helps that he used to be a church minister (and helps even more that he is no longer, from our perspective!). Anyway, this week he became permanent...minor miracle for DP, whom all his family thought was too fickle about work atmospheres!
Got a brigade meeting tonight, so I better get some dinner ready before we go. I've been lurking and keeping up to date, just not been home much to type a decent post.
Take care all, and hope everyone is well!!
PS Oscar now copies Bob and the machines with "Reduce, reuse, recycle", except it often comes out Reduce, reuse, reuse, reuse, reuse, recycle...like a stuck CD!
Hey Donna,
good to see you back lol! Donna and I have been saying for a few yrs we have to catch up when we are both in syd etc well it finally happened a few weeks ago lol!
Lachlan & Nixon played so well together, he is most welcome back any time (as are you!)
Maya- Oscar is going so well to have some dry NIGHTS, Nixon is still not interested at all in the potty, the toilet or even telling me when he has done a poo. id sooooooooo love for him to be out of nappies already, but waiting patiently for him to be ready.
He had another hearing test but didnt go well because he stopped turning to the sounds... i think he was just too excited and not listening but doctor now wants us to go back in 2wks time for another hearing test....
Nic, I hope he pays attention next time! It's frustrating to be told you have to come back because they're not confident about how they've gone. Oscar has had some audiology tests this year...after having had colds! So, the last one was one to 'make sure'. Thank goodness he 'passed', so now we don't have to go back (to make double sure he's ok) till 12 months' time. All because the GP was worried about his ears over a year ago. Oh, well. I guess it's better to know one way or the other. And Oscar likes playing with the peg board that handsome young audiologist makes him play with...;)
well we are of to see the carols at UFTG ( behind safeway ) with my sister, brother and parents so it will be good to spend some time with the family as we havent been living here for a christmas before....
I am also going to tomorrows meet ( the weather stays nice ) so I am looking forward to that... Helps that Mum and Dad are staying over the night at my place and are going to look after the older two so i can go with just Kai... But I will let you all know how it goes and hope to take a few pictures and will post them in the gallery... Is anyone else going?
Bath have a great time at the " Big People " meet tonght ( well i think its tonight )
Nic I remember the same thing happend with Zayden when he went for a test about the same age, I really think they need to come up with something better for that age group... Cant they just hook them up to the same machine that they use at birth? they just arent big enough for this type of testing I dont think....
Maya Oscar sounds like he is doing a great job with TT... Kai has had meany " dry nights " while the nappy is on but I tried last week with out nap and she had 3 dry nights and 3 wet... So I have relented and got another pack of nappies but I know I wont buy anymore, this is her LAST pack... So once again now that the naps are on she is dry every morning... Its funny as I wont let her have them on now until we are putting her to bed, so last night she was cracking it as she was tring to put on her own nappy and it wouldnt work, I keep telling her if your old enough to want to put it on yourself then your old enough not to have one ....
Well i hope everyone has a great weekend whatever you may be doing....
Hi lovelies, just popping my head in to say hi, and that I have been reading- but just never get time to post.
School term finishes in 2 weeks, Liam's Bday party is next weekend and his Bday on 23rd, then chrissy etc. Hopefully once all that is done, my life will stop going at a million miles per hours.
Hope everyone is enjoying the lead up to chrissy :D
Wow, its great to see at bit of action on the Junie thread, heaps to read!!
Dee - great to see you back. That's great news about the CF, bet you were so relieved. The asthma must be worrying. I suppose the couch is as good a place as any to have a snooze! Although I'm sure you prefer him to sleep in his bed. We have held off moving Marley to a bed, I think she will be one of those that always gets out. I've paid off 2 out of my 4 fines and I hope I don't get anymore!
Tali - the ahh moments have ceased! They are back to being crazy and annoying the hell out of each other. Maybe having that 3rd baby is a bad idea!!! How was the carols last night? It would have been a bit chilly last night and it bucketed down about 5ish and thought about the people at carols. They got a huge crowd last year. I could hear the fireworks going off last night. Did you go today, hope you had a good time and enjoyed meeting the other BB girls. It turned out pretty good today but cold now.
Maya - have you got your result yet for your unit? I'm sure you would have passed, it must be a relief to have it all finished. Are you doing only one unit next year? The big train set must be a winner! My friend went to see Burn after Reading and loved it too, she said Brad Pitt was a bit freaky. DP work sounds like they treat their employees well and great that he has a permanent position.
Nic - did you get over your babysitting duties with 4 kids? Those tests are just ridiculous, my niece had so many tests as she was getting to smart for the testers. I think Tali is right, they need to have a better test available for this age group. I hope they get it over with at the next one. It can be very frustrating. Do you have Foxtel? Dexter series 3 is starting on foxtel on January 8. I am so tempted to get it so I can watch it. I keep checking Amazon to see when its available but it keeps saying "coming soon". What did you think of series 2? I thought it was fantastic, which is why I want more!
Bath - how is Niall? Hopefully much better. Did you go last night, how was it? We wanted to see pics of you and your new jacket.
Ali - the end is not far away! I can't believe Liam is nearly 1, this year has whizzed by.
I have been so busy with work, kids parties, xmas functions! Chelsea had a party today that Barbie Fairytopia came, she was hilarious! All dolled up like Barbie and with the american accent. She did a great job of keeping the kids entertained. We had another party Friday night at the bowling alley, which Chelsea won. She was so proud of herself. Marley has been a bit cranky the past few days and has a mild cold. A few kids at Chelsea's school have had this nasty cough that lingers for ages and I think Marley has it too. Not too unwell, just coughs alot and gets cranky very easily. DH had her today and said she was in a grumpy mood all day.
I have been doing a 12 day of christmas promotion with a kids clothing website. Each day they have different competions and so far I have won 2 prizes! One of them was from a Danish designer and you had to say which item you liked the best and why. I won it and its worth $40! Both prizes arrived today and they are so gorgeous - I love free stuff!!! Entered today's competions so hopefully might win some more. Great to add to the xmas stocking. They have some fantastic bargains and most of the stuff isn't sold in stores. Its got me so hooked!
Has anyone taken their kids to see Santa yet? How did they go? Marley is more than happy to shake his hand and talk to him but not too keen on sitting with him. I'm going to take both girls when Chelsea finishes school and hopefully they will both sit with him. Here's hoping! I just want one nice picture of them with Santa.
Hi to everyone else and hope you are all enjoying getting ready for xmas.
I just came in to say check out the new AV the Bath did for me- Awesome Job, thanks a million :)
So near to Christmas, so much to do!
Well, this week has been eventful. Monday was full with Playgroup (after a quick visit to my horse), then a playdate, followed by accidental amputation of the end of my little dog's tail (she's great now, was a clean cut...caused by the front door and her tendency to sneak out when we're going through it).
Yesterday was the last day of term for Kindergym, so now is the beginning of committment-free Wednesdays till next Feb! After that I went with a Booby Club friend to the Vic Branch of ABA to see the new rooms, which are just so great and welcoming for anyone needing mummy-to-mummy help and company.
Tonight is the last swimming lesson for the year, so I'll go with DP and Oscar to watch that. I haven't been for a playswim in 2 weeks, but that's ok.
Tomorrow is our Booby Club kid's Christmas party, then I'm off to another playdate at a local park (didn't realise Oscar had taken a liking to this child until I went to the park another time and he asked for his little friend, followed by a frown when I said he wasn't there!), then...hopefully...Christmas Carols in Belgrave!
Saturday I'd like to ride my horse again, then Sunday is a toss-up between brigade Christmas BBQ and the local cultural centre's 10 year Anniversary celebrations. As the shine has worn off brigade for me recently, I'm thinking the historical celebrations might be better, especially as there will be lots of indigenous references and inspiration, which is really important to me to impart to Oscar.
Mel - no results yet :( I think I have to wait till next Friday...seems like forever away! Barbie with US accent...I guess she really is very American!! I must organise a Santa visit at the Belgrave photo shop. Not inclined to do a mall Santa this year.
Ali - great to see you popping in! You'll be all partied out by Christmas Eve...!
My laptop is about to overheat, so I'll kill some more time by reading 'Melbourne Child'! I've really got nothing to do here at uni now that my assessments are in, but I need to bring Oscar in for childcare, and to integrate him into the kinder room so that when he starts again next year, it's not a strange experience for him. Only till end next week, then he's ALL mine!! He was giving me the most delicious smackers yesterday, holding my face in his little hands, making kissy sounds and kissing my eyes, nose, cheeks, mouth and shoulders...more please :D
Ok, computer is hot, jeans are hot...gonna read...
Tali - how did the carols go? I really loved your thread about age gaps :)
Hi girls, sorry I haven't posted since having Julian.
Thankyou for all the congratulations it was very much appreciated.
Well I forgot how little time you have with a new born. He is such a wonderful little man, he feeds really well and has been sleeping over night now for about two weeks, he has his last feed at about 6:30/7pm and doesn't wake until about 4/5am. He is also very placid and has fitted in extremely well, he just turned 8 weeks on Wednesday and I feel as if it has flown by so quickly.
Cody OMG he is growing in leaps and bounds, he is speaking so well, he will run around the yard and take his nappy off as well as all his clothes and he is doing wee's in the toilet and he actually tells you when he needs to. I'm hoping by the end of the school holidays that he will be fully TT. He gave us a fright on Saturday just gone, he was playing with Wyatt in the bedroom and all of a sudden he came out crying and gagging, I got DH to put him over his knee and pat firmly between his shoulder blades, it dislodged but didn't come out, he swallowed it, so I took him and Julian up to the ED, they took an x-ray and said it was x-ray opaque, but said it was most probably in his tummy, three hours later we got home. I worked out on Sunday that it was a bit of clay from Lockie's school project he made, so at least it will break down, little buggar, will be the death of me. He's so devilish, but gets away with a bit because he always looks so innocent.
Ok have to go, Julian is screaming for his boobie.
hugs xoxo
Ali - love the new you, esp the dress. So cute! Well done Bath.
Maya - how hectic is your life LOL!! The Santa in David Jones at The Glen is a friend of FIL. He's a very lovely old man and really looks like Santa, very kind to the kids. Will be working on getting Marley up there when school finishes. Is it the Burrinja gallery? When I worked up there, we used to take clients and it was beautiful. Haven't been for ages - prob 8 years! Enjoy those delicious smackers, they're priceless. The more dribbly the better ;)
Amanda - so glad to hear from you. Julian sounds like a delight and great that he is giving you a decent nights sleep. How bloody scary with Cody. You must have been freaking out. Glad to hear he is ok. Noticed anything funny floating in the bowl????
Chelsea only has 5 more days of being a Preppie!!! Where has the time gone? She is getting ready to meet her new teacher next week. They are having a mtea in her new classroom. She is getting excited to find out who she has (and so am I). Marley's cold has almost disappeared and my crazy, feral munchkin is back! She is so crazy. Tonight she was so hyper but very funny. She cracks herself up all the time. We have this singing, dancing xmas tree that she is obsessed with and continually pushes the button so it sings. It sings some rock and roll christmas song that I am sooooo over. We also have a bear that sings "White Christmas" and usually the two are going off at once. I know Nic can sympathise with me.
Only 5 more work days till holidays - YEAH!!! I can't wait. I have been so super busy the past couple of weeks that a nice, long break is in order.
How's everyone's chrissy preparations going?
well we didnt end up going to the carols because of the rain and by the time the rain had eased off there would have been know way we would have been able to find a park so we just hung around at my brothers house with his girls and then went home, the kids still had a ball playing so thats all that matters....
I did end up going to the Melb meet and had a great time it was so much easier to be at a park so that the kids could just run around and play ( not that Zayden or Mayleaka were there ) Kailaia was like glue and didnt leave my side and decided to have a HUGE tandy felt a bit sorry for the other girls who only had sweet quite little babies  well it to will happen to them one day, as it does all of us....
Apart from that BHL is back at work, which isnt looking to good ATM had a meeting last night telling the boys that they are lossing more money than they are making and so are bringing in a auter so they can lose dead weight.... they are going to lose all contrators first ( BHL isnt one any more ) and then strat to cull the rest of them... BHL seems to think that they are just trying to scare people into quiting so as he is a good worker he is just going to sit tight for now and ride out this wave... But on the up side after the meeting not only did he have his superviser tell him that there is no way he is going to let the company fire BHL ( not that he has much say but better than nothing ) but he also had his ex boss tell him on the sly that he is leaving the site and has got himself a new job with another site where he wants BHL and another guy to join him, dont know all the details yet or doller value but makes me feel a tiny bit better.... But as BHL said last night if the **** hits the fan then he can always rejoin the dreaded Navy for 3 yrs until the world is back on its feet  ( this frecked me out not because I wouldnt want him to rejoin I dont really care but because BHL has said in the past that there is noway he would ever go back so the meeting last night must have really scared him... )
well not much we can do now but  that the mine says open I guess...
Maya I 2nd Mel I can bearly keep out with you on screen let alone actully live your life
Amanda so good to hear from you cant believe your little buddle is already 8 weeks babies really do grow up to fast...
Mel - I too have a crazy dancing queen in my house Kai has been going nuts lately as have the other too I think its because everytime they see the Christmas tree they remember thats its almost Christmas, mind you I keep telling them that they are getting more potato than presents at the moment  not that it working... I think they are having way to meny candy canes....
Well hello to everyone else hope you have a great weekend...
Hey girls - long time no type!
I am finishing work on THURSDAY! Yes, I am a victim of the GFC (Global Financial Crisis) and while officially I am not being retrenched I don't know what else to call it when you are told with 2 weeks to go on your probation that "you're not what we're looking for - you haven't done anything wrong - in a different economic climate you would still have a job - yada yada yada"
I was initially worried about my career (am cool with that now - there are other things on the horizon) and then about money (hey, the dole and family payments should be enough to live on, huh?) but now I am just looking forward to a month or so with the boys :D
I hope to have a job by late Jan, but until then I should be right for a meet up! How about one in mid Jan at Borders at Melb Central - YAY!!
