Hi,
Lewis had Diptheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Haemophilus influenzae type B, Hep B and Polio in one needle and Pneumococcal in the other needle. Plus his oral rotavirus. Has he missed anything there?
Also, am I the only one who doesn't know what a Christmas pageant is ?? !!
-
Hi all.
Sarah, in Perth, they have a christmas pagaent in the city, a parade of floats, bands, dancing school, celtic groups etc.
Celsie - Caleb should of won. Not being bias, but, i reckon he was the cutest.
Aiden had 2 needles, adn the rotavirus. I thought that was all there was. He had no after effects from the needles or the oral vaccination thankfully.
Celsie - cute moment. I love our little family moments. They are precious. And, we get more of them now i have finished work as i have more time in the evenings when DH is home. These times that we get as family moments, no amount of money can buy, so as much as i liked the extra money, i am happier to be able to have the experiences.
Charly - ditto, i have been thinking about those girls as well. I havent seen Princessmya at all around on the forum. I do hope that they are going well.
Sarah - on and off, i do a dream feed. i find if i miss it, then, its doesnt seem to make a huge difference to how he sleeps. Mind you, he is on solids, and i guess that helps alot.
Speaking of, how are people going with solids.. those that had started? I make all AIdens food. I do have a couple of jars on standby thou. He has roughly the equilivent of a jar for breakfast, and for tea, as well as at least 5 bottles a day. I dont always give him solids every day thou, i try for every evening, but, not always breakfast. If i miss a solids for a day, he will have sooo much to drink. I would say easily 7 - 8 bottles over 24hours. Each bottle being 200ml. In the evenings, i make up a bigger one for him. During the nights when he wakes, he will either wake once and take 1 massive feed, or, wake twice, and take 2 lots of 100 - 120ml. I much prefer the one massive feed thou. If no solids, then, its two big feeds at night.
Anyways, my ironing pile is calling.. best go make it look like i have done something :p
Have agreat weekend all

Hi all! Just thought I'd pop in quickly as I can hear DD and I think she has rolled over again! So she isn't too happy atm!
There was also Lolly at one stage too who popped in I think - I hope she's ok!
Guess what?!?!? DD#2 had such a fussy day yesterday that I was planning on feeding her between 8.30-9pm last night but she woke early so fed her at 8pm and thought I'd leave her...................didn't hear from her til 6.30am this morning!!!:dance:
Very happy!!!!
"Okay, okay.....coming coming!" mummy calls to her so unhappy bubba............... :p

Hi,
Charly - Lewis slept til 6.40am this morning aswell, it is a record! And when I woke up and thought 'umm better go check on him', he was just lying awake in his cot playing with his hands :heartbeat: What a cutie!
The Christmas pageant sounds great, I read they are going to do one in Sydney, I must see when it is.
Also what about Meegm and Naomi54? Hope we didn't bore them to tears :cryinglaugh:

Hi all,
The immunisation regime differs slightly from state to state, that's why the 3 needles or 2 needles deal. Angus is still out of sorts, he slept for a good 13 hrs last night and still wasn't himself today, hot and quiet and whingy. No sleeps at all during the day today either! I'm so worn out.
I've been thinking about trying to drop the dreamfeed but I've decided not to as he only feeds 6 times a day as it is, and I reckon he'll wake up looking for that missing feed and get all out of whack. When he starts refusing it I'll know then!!
Anyway, it has been a long day as Angus hasn't let me out of his sight all day, so it has been full on. Being ill doesn't help, had to get more antibiotics. Anyway must go and say hello to my lovely husband. Hope you are all well, those who we haven't heard from in a while - we miss you!
-
hi everyone
just a quick hello - i'm still reading all the happenings to everyone
I had 2 days of nasty gastro early this week and then because I was hardly eating and feeling pretty low I ended up with mastitis:(
hope everyone else is well
Luv Mel

Oh yes! Naomi54 and Meegm! Wow there are many June mummies aren't there?!?! Hope you are all doing well where ever you are!! Thinking of you all!! xx (and yes, I concur with MumofLewis - hope we didn't send you into a deep sleep!!)
Oh sending you  Feathertop and Mel_thekiwimum! I really hope you are both feeling much better really soon.
Feathertop - after DD's 4month immunisations, it did take her a lot longer to recover than with her first immunisations too. She was sleepy, yet restless and was more happy in my arms than in her bed - very taxing. But am really feeling for you being unwell on top of all of that sweety!! Thinking of you hun!
MumofLewis - That's so fab!!! And it is gorgeous when you find them so content and awake, so precious!! Actually, DD#1 took a massive stack tonight and squealed the house down but bizarrely DD#2 didn't wake!! I went in to check on her and she had her arms above her head and was sleeping so peacefully. But it was so beautiful when I gently touched her tummy with my hand, she smiled in her sleep but didn't open her eyes! Awwwwwwwwww :heartbeat:
Well I've rearranged DD#2's room for the second time in a couple of weeks- first to accomodate the manual roller blind winder and now this time, with our aircon, we have to leave the doors slightly open to the room with the vents on. Where DD's cot was, she could see out the door and even though I put a blanket on the side of her cot, she could still light coming through the top half of the door. So we have moved her cot to behind the door and completely rearranged her room - funnily enough, looks better, less cluttered and I am hoping its not co-incidence but DD has been sleeping now at her nap times - not squealing and yelling her way through them!! :D
Well, off to go have a minute, watch some mind suck TV and have some ice cream!! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!
Mwa!!

Hi everyone
I feel like I haven't been around for ages, although it's only probably been a few days...
Our wedding went well last week. I put some photos up in my gallery, but I am going to have to do a proper write-up and post some more photos soon.
Diana had her first outing to the beach yesterday, but I don't think she liked it very much. Too cold and windy... She got to dip her feet in the sea for the first time though, so that's kind of cool.
Mel - hope you feel better soon.
Hi to everyone else.

Congrat's Mrs Starfish! Looks like you had a nice day!
Lewis has come on really quickly in the last few days. Not only is he laughing non stop at everything we do now, but he can also turn around on his play gym so he faces the other way and he did his first roll yesterday too, from front to back. So he's mobile at last!
We just went to Toys R Us. We are going to get him a baby walker for xmas, although not sure if we will use it as a walker yet, it's just that it converts to a rocker and it also has lots of toys on the tray so he can be upright when he's playing. I think he is getting a bit bored of always being lying down. They have a great sale on if anyone's interested. The sale catalogue is on their website.
Hope everyone's well :)

Hey where is everyone! busy enjoying the sunshine maybe!
I've been busy this week making Lewis's Christmas cards. They look really cute, especially with the sparkly pipe cleaners around the photo, thanks Charly for that idea! I took a photo of Lewis with a santa hat on and he is really laughing in the photo. I can't wait to have his first santa photo done!
I went to the library today to get some books on weaning. I don't plan to start until xmas time but thought I'd read up on it all.
Lewis has started rolling from his back to his front this week. Trouble is as you all probably know already, now I can't leave the room because he gets stuck and starts whinging!
Apart from that we have been out walking every day. I've come to the conclusion my scales are dodgy, the other morning I weighed at 6am and then was 500g lighter at 8am ! I'm determined to get back to my pre pregnancy weight before xmas so that I can go swimming without people thinking I'm pregnant! I just can't seem to shift this last 4 kilos though and it's all around my middle
So what has everyne else been up to? I hope all the bubs are doing well. Can you believe how much they are changing?
-
LMAO ladies, no you didnt bore me to tears!!
Im hear, i rarely get time to get on these days, will still be a while before i get another chance to get on as im about to start my nail technician classes next week.
I havent had a chance to read to much, but just managed to read about the immunisations etc, Lachie had his 4month ones and had a reaction, he got a fever right up to the borderline of heading to hospital (37.2, thats the limit and thats what he was) he got a slight rash on his head that took 3days to go away, his drinking was all over the place for the 1st 24hrs but by sunday night (had immunisations friday morn) (except the rash) he was back to normal.
Lachie has rolls from his back to his belly like its going out of fashion lol, for the past couple of weeks he doesnt whinge much when he does it as he has learnt to manover some what to get to his toys, so he doesnt seem to mind when i leave the room, he is trying so hard to crawl atm its the cutest thing.
When he got his 4 month immunisations 26th October (4months 3days), got him weighed and measured, although its prob changed now he was 8.4kgs and 66cms tall, in the 90 percintile!!
he is learning so much atm, i can hardly keep up, as soon as i ring to keep people updated on what he is up to, he does something new!!
Lachie eats solids for lunch and tea, mainly avacado at lunch and potato, butternut and sometimes carrot for tea. I dont give him solids all the time, might only have lunch one day and tea the next then nothing for a day or two, depends on what he is like with his prior bottle. He loves his food though.
I hope he copes well when i start my course next week, as for 2 nights (til 9.30pm) he will either be at mums or at home with Rick, during the day he will be at mums, during the day im not worried about, its at night that concerns me, he has hit the stranger danger stage and although its not bad this week as it was last couple of weeks (litterally only rick and i could hold him or anything!) i guess im worried that it'll start when im not around iykwim
anyway better be off, really only jumped on here as i saw you ladies concerned you had bored me lol I do come on and read when i get the chance, but i dont get a chance to post all the time, sorry.
Hope you are all doing really well
xxoo
p.s oh and if you check Lachies website out in a couple of days you'll see some updated pics, re-doing a website for him
-
Heya Naomi!!! So good to hear from you!! Good to hear that you are awake and well, lol!!! Your little man sounds like he is doing so fab!!!
I won't stay on long as DD#2 is keeping me busy atm with rolling over in her cot and not being able to roll back and therefore getting severley frustrated!! Her day time naps are scarce atm because of it and its slowly driving me nuts - then the moment she does snooze, its like DD#1 has a sixth sense and will drop something on the tiles or scream the house down...................grrrrrr.
Have gone and gotten sick too which is highly inconvenient as I am in the throws of organising DD#1's 3rd birthday party for this Saturday!! Have sniffles, sore throat, blocked sinus and temps...........................again, grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
So life's a peach!
Hope you are all doing well, hopefully will bbl so I can post to you all!
Mwa!!

Hi,
Naomi - Good to hear from you, sounds like Lachie is doing great. Funny you should talk about stranger danger, Lewis stuck his bottom lip out for a full 5 minutes today when my MIL held him, maybe that's why!!
Charly - Have you thought about one of those anti roll pillows for DD2? Lewis has one and it's great because I know he can't go anywhere while he's sleeping. I know Teepee has one too which she likes.
-
Hi everyone
I have had an extremely crappy week and am looking forward to it being over. (You can read about it in my other threads if you want, although that probably would bore you to tears...)
Good luck for your course Naomi and hope that Lachlan handles it well. When I was studying a few months ago, it took Diana a few weeks to adjust to not having me there in the evening, but eventually she was okay.
I met with my mothers group yesterday and we took photos of the babies together. It was so cute. I will post them in a few days time (after getting permission from the mothers). Diana seems to be the smallest. I hope that she's just naturally little and not because she's not getting enough milk. (I fear my milk is drying up due to recent stress, etc.) I suppose I will know when I get her weighed next. Last time at 20 weeks, she was 5.9kg and 65cm long (I might have posted this already.)
Anyway, better be off. Hi to everyone else. Good night.
-
Charly: Like sarah suggested, have you thought about an anti-roll pillow? As soon as he rolled over a couple of times in a row, i went out and bid on one on ebay to have my mum come over the following day with a brand new one lol so now i have two lol, but it will be great for when he sleeps at mums, means i have to take less with me iykwim, the one mum brought cost her $25.
Bugger at her rolling over in her cot, Lachie doesnt do that he just does 360's and gets himself in werid possies that way lol
i suggest for your sanity and hers that your prob best off looking at an anti roll pillow and a mobile? keep her entertained on her back, although if she like Lachie, she'll soon figure out how to get out of it without rolling over!!
Rick is sick like that too, he has had today off b/c of it, hope i dont get it!! Doesnt sound pleasent, hope you get better soon.
Sarah: its amazing with the stranger danger, he picks and chooses who to get scared of, a friend of ours his girlfriend, he wont cry at her but will at him, will cry at mil and bil and partners but not at my mum. They soon figure it out, at first its quite cute, but after the 6th time it kinda gets to you that, only you can hold them, i struggle to soothe him when he starts so its better not to have him start at all iykwim
Zofia: what did you study?? it'll only be 1 night where he'll be in unfamiliar place (at mums) without me, when i go off to the shops at night he is ok at home with Rick, so hopefully not that bad, course only goes for 7 1/2 weeks anyway, so not that long.
Cant wait to see some pics of Diana, dont worry about her size, as long as she is happy thats all that matters, like you said you will know when you get her weighed next time, but you could see it in her if she wasnt getting enough iykwim
Well better be off ladies, my man has half learned the word mum and calls me num (has just learnt the n letter) and is calling to me from his bead where he is supposed to be sleeping lol
Catch you all soon
-
just to add, Lachie had his eyes closed teasing him self with the dummy, like he was telling his hand off, everytime he pulled the dummy out he would whinge and call num then put the dummy back in and be fine, all with his eyes closed!! lol
