Hi all
Sarah - thanks for saying that i seem like i have it under contol. But, what works one day, is out the door the nextt!! todays drama is wrapping - and, since i couldnt be stuffed writing it back out https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...930#post854930
He just woke up, from a 3hour sleep, wrapped. The secret was it was a heavier wrap, and he couldnt move in it, but, where his head was, there is a big sweat patch on the sheet, so, he was to hot. Thought it was spew at first, but, nope, sweat.
Who knows why i have alot of milk. My first thought was "must have bigger boobs", but, they say that has no bearing on milk supply. I just dont know.
His poo doesnt change after a FF. I put the colour and consistancy down to my breakfast. A mammouth bowl of sultana bran, with extra sultanas added. Generally starving in the morning. It doesnt seem to upset his stomach, as, i went some days without it, and there was no change in his nature and cycles. Just, he stopped pooping. It does mostly have the little 'seeds' in it still.

Sarah - I watched an documentry from a thread I was reading on BB. I'll see if I can find it. I only noticed Weyth and Nestle, but I'm sure there is more!
Here you go. https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ht=Phillipines
Made me so angry!!!
Celsie. xoxox
p.s. Just watched it again and spotted Heinz. Might have to go with Karicare too I think.

We had another terror night
I was so sure it was going to be a good one, as he was a little angel all day. Slept well etc.
Feed him at 9 was abit windy, but nothing to major, and then a little top up feed at 10.45, and he went to sleep, with me thinking it shoudl knock him out till about 2, maybe 3. But, nope, he woke at 1am. Feed, and screamed, and eventually, got him to sleep just after 3. Awake again about 4.30 5ish, same thing, feed, screamed, and asleep just after 6. Cool, i think, he will sleep now till maybe 9, given his 4hour cycle..
Awake at 7.
Feed, and this time, but god did he scream afterwards. So very uncomfortable.
Gave him infants friend and now, he is calm, but, still awake. Had eventuall given him infants friend after every feed to try and settle him some.

Hi all
Looks like things have been busy in here. I havent been on for a while as Mikayla is really taking up a lot of my time!
She's been on S26 lactose free formula for about a week now at the suggestion of the local pharmacist and it seems to be working. She isnt projectile vomiting anymore but its now created another problem and she's constipated :( Just when I solve one problem it causes another! I'm still using Infacol before every feed as wind is definitely an issue just not as bad as when she was on BM & regular formula. I initially felt guilty for not continuing to breast feed but when I saw what difference the lactose free made I realised that its the best thing for her right now.
Can anyone suggest any solutions for constipation?? The poor thing cries in pain whenever she's trying to do a poo. She's gone from having dirty nappies after every feed to only pooing once or twice a day. And when she does its only very small and quite firm.
We're starting to notice that she's been alot more alert over the last week. She stays awake for longer and is starting to follow us with her eyes. She still doesnt respond to her name but she's definitely "looking" at us now! Its amazing how fast they grow and develop. I measured her the other night and she's grown another 2.5cm in 2 weeks. From birth length of 50cm she's now 4 weeks later 55cm long!
Doorbell just rang so gotta go.
Hope your all doing well and enjoying your bubs. Take care xx

Tina - Midwives told me to give Lewis either a small amount of sugary warm water or some OJ to help with constipation.
Lewis has the opposite problem, bad wind all day and diahorrea(spelling?). We have just bought the normal Karicare instead of gold as this may be too rich for him. My SIL met Robyn Barker the author of Baby Love and she said to beware of the gold formulas as they are really strong for newborns and that the normal formulas are just as good, so we are going to try that.
His sleep is also disturbed and he moans in his sleep alot, I think due to tummyache and the wind. We are using infacol which is great for his burps but doesn't seem to help the other end! Anyway as you say Tina, if it's not one thing it's another!!

yep, and just when you think you have it sorted, and have them worked out, just when you think you know what you are doing - something else comes up, and throws everything out the window.... or someone else comes along, and says something complety different.

Celsie, I am feeding Lee one bottle of Hienz Nuture gold aswell and its been fine so far... Although his poos have delcined to liek 1 a day instead of every feed when i was exclusivly BFeeding... so im hoping that when he goes to 2 bottles a day and so on it dosnt make him constipated.. but so far so good with the heinz one..
Mumoflewis - and you would think that GOLD is better i have lee on the Gold one only coz i thought i was doing the right thing... its hard to know whats good and whats not....I have that Baby Love book - and Love it its like my bible i look at it all the time everytime i need to know what to do.. i think some of her stuff is really good.. i am using the weaning plan she has outlined to get lee onto formula..

Hi everyone
Well, I haven't posted in a while either as Diana has been taking up a lot of my time. I did manage to post some updated photos of her on her babysite though. We had a tough day yesterday. She was whingey, sooky and uncosollable, screaming her little head off for what seemed like ages. I had no idea what to do and kind of lost my patience and said a few cross words to her. I felt so bad afterwards... Does anyone know what the symptoms are if a baby has wind or something? Diana has been kind of sooky most of the last week, but she doesn't seem distressed in any way, i.e. she feeds well, poops and wees well, sleeps okay... Any ideas on what could be bothering her? Or is she just discovering that there is more to life than eating and sleeping, but she doesn't quite know what?
We had a good night last night though. She slept through from midnight until about 5:45am. I am paranoid that she may have wanted a night feed and I slept though it, but I was sleeping with her, so its unlikey that she wouldn't have been able to wake me up if she had wanted too.
Are any of you exclusively breastfeeding? I have been so far, but am beginning to get paranoid that I am not producing enough milk. Is this possible?
Hope you are all having a great morning.

Hi girls
Immy was constipated a few weeks ago and i got some of that baby juice and put it with a little bit of warm water and that worked really well. Immy is growing up so fast and is starting to make a few noises now and is starting to sleep better during the day which is good as keyonte was getting quite upset as it was taking so long to settle Immy after her feeds during the day that she would only sleep for about an hour and would be awake for her next feed. has been going about 8 hrs sleep at night which is good as i feel like i have been to sleep now. well i best be off and do some cooking and hang the washing up hope you all have a great day.
take care

Hi Starfish,
Just thought I'd write quickly and let you know that we are still exclusively breastfeeding. I too have felt that my milk is low and sometimes by the end of the day when I haven't rested at all it is definately low. I have been taking fenugreek capsules 3 times a day and drinking a glass of activite. Not sure if it helps. Also at around 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 4 months and 6 months they have a growth spurt and need to increase your milk. They do this by feeding all the time. Tyler has been putting on 350g a week for the last two weeks and we have had about 3 days of him feeding hourly through the day and 2 hourly one night. This increases your milk. After him doing this and feeling constanly empty since he is feeding so much he has then settled back to 3 hourly feeds yesterday and today and there is loads of milk. Perhaps Diana is trying to increase your milk? Also during this gropwth spurt time Tyler is unsettled and doesn't really sleep much as he is feeding so much. Yesterday and today he is once again sleeping well.
Apparently 6 weeks is the most common time for people to give up breastfeeding because they think they don't have enough milk but it is just the baby trying to increase it. I have done lots of reading as I too thought I didn't have enough. I have given the odd bottle of formula (1 at around 9pm) during this feeding frenzy just to give me a rest for a few hours.
Gotta go and get the grocery shopping done now. Hope everyone is doing ok. Things are still very busy here but I must say they got much better at around 6 weeks. Tyler is much more settled now, happy and smiling a lot. I'm slowing getting back to a regular routine. I put some more photos on his website yesterday for the family to see. He is already looking like a baby and less like a newborn.
I have looked at the other websites too and everyones babies are adorable.

Hi Girls,
wel i must say you are all busy busy bees! I am as well at the moment and i don't get to post all the time so i will be mainly popping in and out over time.
Constipation - I have used infant suppositories (sp?) for both my girls and they work a treat and instantly. It is not a nice thing to do but it works and no pain to them so i swear by these.
I am BF and FF i also have switched formulas as the Karricare Gold i think was making Shayla too windy and harder to settle at night. I also no that she has a little bit of reflux as well so i have changed to Karicare AR THICKENED FORMULA. She loves it and no more real pains or reflux at this stage.. I BF her in the morning and a little at night otherwise it is FF. She seems to prefer Formula so i am a great believer in go with what your baby wants more. It makes it so much easier for you really.:D
I have no problems with Shayla at the moment i must be a lucky one really either that or the second time round it is not as bad? She has her fussy period at night for about 2 - 3 hrs and then bed at 10pm and awake at 5am to 7am varies.... I no that for some people it can be very very tiring i have been there as well so i can understand if some of you think B###tch how come she gets sleep.
Get use to having one thing sorted out and back to normal and then it all goes to crap again.... I think it is like this so that you are prepared for the teething stages..... I am over teething with my DD1 already her eye teeth are coming through and oh dear it is crazy and i am over it. Thankgod they are the last ones of her milk teeth!!
Well best be off i have washing to hang out and dinner to get organised and lunches for tomorrow and so on and so on does our days ever end! Lol :cryinglaugh:
Hope all bubbas give there mummies some good sleep tomorrow or tonight.

Oh no, i am not a happy girl today!
I woke up with the sorest throat, am run down and tired....
DH was sick last week and i thought awesome, i didnt catch anything and now it is starting, i know how it usually goes = sore throat, sinus infection and headaches - lasts for a week. Usually shockingly painful and only feel like laying in bed.
It hurts to eat, so of course i dont feel like eating, which i know isnt good for me, bub or my milk supply - same with drinking...
I dont know how i am going to cope with looking after a 7 week old and being sick,
Has anyone else gotten sick post natally this soon, and how did you cope with it?
:(

Hi There girls, Ive been busy with Aliyah lately so havent been on here for a while but just popped on now and went thru all these posts and it took ages! Aswell as peeping at everyones websites an pics (everyones bubba's are just GORGEOUS!!) I can finally post something aswell!
Aliyah is a formula fed baby I have her on the Heinz Nuture Gold and she's thriving on it! She has 150ml bottles every feed and she may need to go upto 200mls! Shes' such a little piggy!
As far as sleeping goes she will feed at 8-8.30pm and be settled by 9pm then she'll be up from around 2.30-3.30am to feed again, settles really quick after this feed (She will feed, be changed and back to sleep again within about 25mins) then she'll be up again at 7am, so Im pretty happy with that! I had one night where she went from 8.30pm till 4am and I thought that was great and have been hoping for it again but no such luck!
My almost 7 year old daughter is loving having a baby sister. She's such a little mummy! She is in with Aliyah now singing to her!!
Anyway I have a website with pics of Aliyah if anyone wants to have a peek at its
