Mo - gosh a size 2. We saw a smaller 12 month old when getting Ts needles on Tuesday. There has gotta be some people at either end of the percentiles. We visited my best friend today and her 6 month old who is about the same size as T! They seemed very affectionate toward each other and were able to throw a ball to each other.
T is fine after the needles. She cried initially - 3 needles at once! But is OK today. The council nurse said they can get a rash and/or cold symptoms up to 2 weeks following the injections. The council nurses were lovely with T and blew bubbles to amuse her - letting her pop them with her little fingers - no rushing us off:) They are so experienced with immunisations and I personally prefer them to the local doctor who (usually) doesnt have enough demand for immunisations to be really proficient.
I am looking for a play group for T and only have Fridays free. I am in outer east Melbourne - if anyone can suggest one?

That's very true Bron. K sees the paed next month. Will be nice to see what he thinks about the allergy/intolerance.
M started dance class & she loves it, I can't wait for K to be old enough(well maybe i can)to start.
Bron great news that T went so well with her needles. You can try you Health Nurse or the playgroup website.
The only thing i hate about playgroups is that the mums can be so clicky & they really make you feel unwelcome but i hope you find a nice one :D

chels got her needles on tuesday.. she had one in each arm and each leg (swine flu aswell). she cried but was fine really quickly. she is 76cm and 9.1kg. just starting to grow out of 00's. she is loving action songs at the moment, copies the actions for twinkle and miss polly. she says 'row row' when we do row your boat. still not saying many proper words but babbling away with some funny sounds.

Super pumpkin - glad the needles went well. I'm looking for a playgroup too, have found a local one in a church just around the corner, but both me and DD have been sick so are yet to go. Hope you find one soon.
Hollo - DD is full of the great babble too. She can say "crab" now, talking about her favourite bath toy, and she makes a laughing "hahaha" sound because she thinks that's the noise a horse makes!!!!
DD is totally in love with "Where's Spot" at the moment. Loves lifting the flaps and to my relief she's so gentle with them, no tearing yet!!! Ripped pages freak me out, but that's the bookshop person in me!!!

K still only says a few words but she babbles heaps. She gives you kisses which is adorable & she is starting to run everywhere now to.
Hollo sounds like Chels is doing great.
Corelly K loves books and is gentle with them as well, which is a shock because M would always tear them apart.

Hi girls,
We had a huge weekend in Wollongong and it has taken a few days to recover. A was really good on the flights apart from her ears hurting on the descent on the way home and had a fantastic time with all the people giving her attention. It was a huge wedding, 250+ people.
We have also started using cloth nappies :D I was planning to start last year after I checked them all out at the baby expo but decided not to as we were going overseas and packing up all our stuff. No excuses anymore, have been using them for a couple of days and it seems to be going pretty well.
Mo - loving the alice theme. I haven't seen the movie yet, we don't have a cinema out here, maybe I'll have to wait til it comes on austar. Little girls dancing is the cutest thing ever! I bet K would love to go and join in with M. Do they do lots of dancing together around the house?
SP - A was fine after her needles, she cried for a little bit and wasn't interested in the toys that I took for her but was happy when the nurse gave her one of their toys to play with. I was a little bit worried getting them done before we went away in case she got sick, but she didn't have any side effects at all.
Hollo - The babbling is so cute isn't it. I love when they get really animated and loud like they're telling a huge story. When we were leaving playgroup today A waved to the other kids and said Bye in a really long drawn out kinda way. It was gorgeous
Corelly - Glad you found a playgroup, hope you get to go soon. I find it so great to get out of the house for both me and A. She always has a huge sleep when we get home too

Hollo - your little girl is doing well to still fit in oo size. T is onto 1 for most things now but still plenty of o size too. Well done Chels with the action songs!
Mo - T is only saying a few words too but babbles a lot. "Dad n da" is her new thing which is cute but hard to know what she means! She is pointing at things all the time and saying "dat?" as in 'what is that?'. Waving is pretty solid and kisses are the best!
I look forward to dance and/or music classes too.
Corelly - Yes Spot is a fav for T too! She has removed a lot of the flaps over the past months but not doing that any more. Tragic! I will look for a play group soon as I think it is good for bubs. I agree with Mo that they can be clicky and that is why I havent up to now. Kinda want one that I like the mums at too.
FF - Go the clothy bums! I love the new age cloth nappies and cant bring myself to use sposies but I dont tell too many people as I think it makes me sound judgemental.
When T had the needles another lady just sparked a convo re cloth nappies and was a real advocate for them. I just keep in mind the '300 years to break down' thing and it seems easy.

K is still in 00's as well.
We use cloth here as well, nice to know i'm not alone :D
K is doing so well now she is off cows milk, we see the paed in 2 weeks & maybe we can get some solid answers. Will be nice to know if it is an allergy.

Maybe I just dont go for close fitting clothes as she is still small but I find 00s a bit short in the sleeve and leg now.
Mo - best of luck with the allergies - it can be a long road - had that one with DS1. Still going through it at 19 yrs so I cant be too positive unfortunately. Some people do get quick answers however and I hope that is Kodi's case :pray:
DS1 had rice milk for ages with OK results. I think you can supplement it. What is K on now? DS1 doesnt take any milk products even now and wheat is a problem too.

She is on soy, won't have bar of rice or oat milk. last time she tried her poo's were still runny not sure if they were the cause tho.
I just hoping her weight gains have picked up, last weigh in she had dropped from the 25th to the 10th.
With the clothes 00 fit K nicely she's only 72cms, I do put 0 on if she has a bulky cloth nappy as the 00 become ankle bashers lol. 1's just swim on her, a top is like a dress, shorts are like pants, the pants have to be rolled up & unless you can adjust the waist they just fall down.

DD is in 0's and 1's. Finding the pants in size 1 are enormous which is nice for us because as a newborn she was in huge sizes due to her plaster and brace for her hips!!
She is STILL sick. I finally got well enough to drive and took her to the doctors a week ago, where it was found she had a minor ear infection, a general cold and because my mum has it, we got her checked for whooping cough, which came back negative. Then she had a reaction to the antibiotics so we had to start again. Poor love got the worst nappy rash I've ever seen. Screamed when she filled her nappy, again when I cleaned her and forget a bath. She's starting to get better though, so hopefully we'll be hitting that playgroup soon. On top of it all, she cracked a new tooth, just to add to the overall grumpiness.

Hi everyone,
Been a bit busy trying to find a new job so been MIA. Skye is in size 1's. No idea how long she is or how much she weighs. I guess I'll find out next week at her needles.
Corelly, glad she's starting to feel better. Poor little thing! We've been camping three times with both girls. It's been great especially at this age. Skye LOVES running around outdoors and getting filthy. Hehehehehehhehheheh. We do the whole hog too, no running water etc. Love it! :D

Ella is in size 1, finding the 0's a bit short because of her height.
I have had to put the spot books away as she just rips the things off, she is such a wild thing. She got a lovely bee one for her birthday that pops up she ripped the bee off in like 5 secs!! that is put away too
She soooo loves dirt, sticks and rocks shes love to be outside all day long getting filthy :D
Heres my whinge for the day - ive had enough of teething and she only has five teeth so stacks to go :o
Has anyone else got a picky eater - some days it feels like she eats nothing and she insists on feeding herself. Seems like more on the floor than in her mouth. What to do?

yep, chels is a picky eater. i feel like i am not feeding her enough too. the only thing she is guaranteed to eat is those puree food mixxes in a squeezy container. i feel guilty feeding them to her all the time but at least she is eating something.
i am back at work thursdays and fridays now too. chelsea wasnt impressed. i am in child care and the girls come with me to work. last week i was in the toddler room and i could hear chelsea screaming alll day. you know that breaking point scream where you just have to go pick up your baby and cuddle them... well it was like that but i couldnt do anything. poor baby! she is super clingy now too!

Immi is a bit of a picky eater too.
Anybody else have a non-walker still? I'm not worried, I didn't walk till 15mo but just curious to see who else is left with a cutie crawler?

Kellbell - Yep, DD is super picky with food. One day she'll devour a sausage, and I'll be thinking "awesome" and the next time I cook one up for her, she won't touch it. Some days it feels like all she'll eat is toast. Frustrating, isn't it?
Jellyfish - DD has only just started crawling so we're a bit off walking yet. It may not count though because she was braced up for so long. She's been commando crawling for a little while, and has only just got the confidence this last week to crawl normally, and fast too! She can stand up, but can't figure out how to walk around holding onto furniture.
Better go, she's chucking a wobbly!!!!!

My cousins little girl didn't walk till 2 and you would have no idea now!!
Yes that exactly what she does she seems to love something i make it again and she wont have a bar of it :shakehead:

JF sometimes i wish K wasn't walking, it's getting to be a real pain taking them both out.
Kell, Kodi will try anything problem is she'll only feed herself so she only ends up so much in her mouth.
