sj - lol on the poo story!!! if it happens again, take a piccy!! LOL
steve had to go to MIL's to do our washing as our washing machine's having PMS. Managed to get him to take Poopy with him.
This is the second time in 7mths I'm at home all by myself!!! I just needed this. last time was for an hr, but i think today I'll get 2hrs all by myself.
steve was asking me to go out and he will look after Poopy, but I just wanted to relax at home. he feels it;s easier for him to look after him at home instead of going out with him.
He said it was inconvenient, I told him well, welcome to my life. Even if I need to go to the shops for 5 mins, I have to pack him up etc. Small argument there.
It's sssoooo nice just to sit at home and do stuff and not worry.
I just vacummed, I'm going to have lunch in peace, and listen to some 80's music on vH1.
I cant believe this is heaven to me!!
I forgot to say, Poopy's 7mths today!!!!
-
Well, Jazz threw up at about midnight last night so I had to get her into the bath. Matt was also throwing up at about the same time. Thankfully after that everyone managed to get to sleep. Jazz did throw up again today at church. I hope she'll be ok for the rest of the day. We have a farewell dinner for my sister and her family tonight. Matt said even if he feels like crap he wants to go just means I'll probably have to drive and I don't think any of us will be eating very much.
-
I'm not doing well tonight having a bad afternoon.
Hope Jaz is ok sux when they are sick.
Prama bloody washing machines makes life hard when they don't work esp with bubbas.
SJ I laughed so hard reading about poo story wait until she can take her own nappy off and paints the cot with it haha that has happened to me a few times.
Summer 100% crawled today OMG she is a busy girl, she can get to any room in the house now incl bathroom what ever you do DON'T wish them to crawl yet I have to put up barriers to keep her away from the DVD and tv and today she found her way to the kitchen.
here comes another week gosh they are flying by so fast....
-
 Trina hope its better tommorow
YAY Summer I know you said the other day she was doing the rocking thing she so wants to keep up with the others doesnt she *L* I certainly am not wishing Will to crawl too fast but the little buggar is determined.God help us all
Question for all on solids..tuna? is it ok and when? could I Mix it with some rice i knwo they shouldnt have too mnay serves becasue of mercury etc
-
i thot tuna was ok.
isnt rice ok? i was raised on it! lol...
eekkk.. summer, you go girl!
im hoping when poopy starts to crawl, steve stops leaving his crap everywhere
-
I can't believe Summer is crawling!! They are growing up so fast!
I remember when Bri started crawling at that age. She was on her hands & feet at first though. It was funny watching her bum up in the air.
It was the climbing that got me with her though. She was getting up on the coffee table within days of starting crawling. I'm glad Jesse's taking it easy.
Hope you feel better soon Trina.
Don't you love the bath floaties! My sister used to do that all the time & mum often had all 3 of us in there together! My brother & I used to jump real quick!!
Hope you guys are better soon & the bugs stay away from you guys for a while Danni. They seem to like you guys.
Look after yourself.
Prama - Hope you enjoyed being lonely!
SJ - Have you got Google Earth? We arent too bad here. There's worse, but we are 2 hours from the closest shopping centre. Could be worse I guess!
Hope every one else is well. Or feeling better soon!
-
Trina - Just wanting to send you a really BIG   I know it doesnt take anything away, but im here for you if you need a vent at any time. You are amazing and doing a fantastic job raising your 4 beautiful girls :)
Summer you little terror!!! crawling, OMG these babies are getting mobile quick!
Prama - i did take a photo  just was embarressed to say! I hear you on the crap being left around the place
Danni - hope you are all feeling better
Shell - all good with you?
Bron- i think tuna is OK... dare i ask??? any word?
Going to IKEA today with mum, hoping to get some early christmas pressies and stocking stuffers (i am determined to be organised this year - im not working and everyone with think that i have loads of time on my hands... yeah right)
-
Ah yes she is very determined, she has been commando crawling for over a month so now on hands and knees she is actually slower but if she wants something quick she goes back on her tummy and moves super quick.
I have given summer tuna, mixed with potatoe and brocolli she loved it.
Thanks for the nice thoughts girls.
Such a warm day today, off to the gym to do PT and hopefully punch the crap out of something. I have a massage booked this afternoon so really looking forward to that, its kinda like a counselling session too cos we talk the whole time and she does reiki at same time. Then riding horse after school.
Enjoy the day ladies xoxo
-
Sounds like a good day Trina. Enjoy it. :)
-
All good here girls, just been very busy.....Just a quick one from me this afternoon, need to get organised for work tomorrow.
DJ had his 6 month needles on Friday and was perfect even smiled and laughed after the first needle, but cried a little after his second. He was fine afterwards as well, just slept alot the next day. He was 6 months old on Saturday - my little is getting bigger. Had him weighed and height checked last week as well and he is now 76cm long and 7.5kg, so growing heaps. And now he just wriggles all over the place, we leave a room and he is one spot and come back and he has wriggled to the other side of the room haha and now doing that in his cot haha
Trina - oh wow on Summer's crawling that is fantastic news and yeah everyone tells me not to wish the crawling on. I quite enjoy being able to leave him in the one spot and he doesn't go too far even with his wriggling around.
Well must run, so take care girls, just wanted to touch base :)

OMG! I am so peed off with Anthony!
Our car needed parts replaced for rego, so I got him to talk to his dad about ordering them & it all got sorted. $500 later we replace the parts & take them up for a pink slip to be told they are the wrong parts!!!!!
I knew that! I mean how do you get Tie Rod Ends out of Bottom End Ball Joints?? I told DH what was needed, then he talked to FIL about it. I got the money & told FIL to order them for me coz we are so far away from Dubbo & he did. When I picked them up yesterday I thought it was wierd that they were tie rod ends, but thought 'its ok. They are men, they know what they are talking about'!!!
WHY THE HELL didn't I think!!!!
$500 wasted! I had to borrow it off my dad!
I rang around for the parts I NEEDED & at first was quoted $340. Rang somewhere else & got $136!!!! Why on earth didn't I do it myself in the first place!!!!????!!!!

Took another trip to emergency at 3am this morning. Jazz has been admitted to the short stay unit in the childrens ward. Matt & I have just changed shifts and he's with her and I'm home to have a rest and freshen up. She's lost about 1kg since Thursday and isn't eating at all and not drinking much and what she does drink seems to come up and say hello a few mins or couple of hours later. She's very lathargic which is the total opposite to her normally energetic, happy and laughing self.
Ok, I'm gonna try and have 1-2 hours nap before I go back.
-
trina - if you do want a chat, im still open for a meet up if you want to... xoxoox
did you give her fresh tuna or canned? i read that canned fish is ok too.
went to sleep and settling class run by our council, hope we can get poopy to sleep. we are going to get him to sleep in his room finally.. been getting him to sleep in his cot during the day and will start night transition on the weekend. i feel so sad... ive had him next to me for 7mths..
skye, danni i misseed ur posts.
skye - you know so much about cars!! can you get something back from whoever sold you the wrong parts? grrrrhhh. that's A LOT of money!!
sometimes it really is better to do it ourselves than depend on men.
danni - so sorry to hear jazz is sick again. have htey found out what's wrong? did matt and jazz eat the same thing, hope you know what it was....
poor bubba
-
No, Matt & Jazz didn't eat the same thing. Jazz picked up gastro somewhere and passed it on to both me & matt but thankfully it didn't last long in me. Matt's eating small amounts again today.
It hit poor Jazz harder coz of her age but I hope to have a vomit free night for the first time since Thursday.
-
Danni sorry to hear Jazz is in hospital hope she is well soon. Can I suggest that you ring day care and FDc and let them both knwo that she has been sick and also to ask if anyother hcildren have been sick .Some incidences of gastro have to be reported to the ehalth department if it happen sin a centre in case its a contagious bug
-
Danni, Honey. I really hope Jazz is better soon. I had Bri in Dubbo hospital over night at about 6 months when she had the Rota Virus.
Is she on fluids? Poor little thing.
I'm hoping to sell the car parts on ebay. Can't return them coz they had to be ordered in.
The twit then walked out of the house off to the shop while Jesse was asleep on our bed alone! I was at the bus stop!! Lucky the bus & shop are across the road from eachother & I was on my way home!
-
Hi girls,
I have a cold again :( grrrrr just been resting up tonight, trying to get stuff organised for me and DJ tomorrow. Doni in Melbourne for next 3 nights. Mum is going to come over tomorrow night to help me out. Might just grab a bbq chook on my way home :)
Danni - hope Jazz is doing ok, poor little darling. There is a really bad stomach bug going around. Big hugs xx
Prama - sounds like a good session on the sleep for Poopy. It will be hard for the first few nights, but it will get better :) and yeah you just need the time out and I think that is why I love being back at work. Being a mum is such a full-time job and when they start crawling/walking we will never get much rest so we need our time to just relax and watch music videos on fox ;) kehehee I love doing that as well.
Skye - argh men sometimes you just want to scream hey?
Bron - wow looks like Will is going to crawl soon as well. DJ is rocking heaps from side to side and is much better on his belly but still grizzles but normally if he is tired.
SJ - oh no on the floating poo!!!
Well better go chat soon

Well she wasn't taking as much fluids as the doctor wanted so she's been admitted overnight with a nasal gastric tube and a continous flow of hydrolite. Matt is staying at the hospital overnight with her so I can get a (hopefully) full and peaceful sleep coz I need to go to work tomorrow (had Friday and today off). Thankfully the Uni I work at is right down the hill from the hospital so I plan on taking a slightly long lunch and going to the hospital if Jazz & Matt are still there. It's only about a 10min walk from my office.
I felt absolutely terrible! We both left for an hour so I could take Matt home so he could get stuff for tonight and also grab his car. I arrived back to the hospital just before Matt did and Jazz wouldn't make eye contact with me for about 5 mins as if to show she was mad at me for leaving her in a strange place. After a short time she kept staring at me in the eyes but I could tell from the look in her eyes that she was upset with me. It made me cry a little. I do hope things like that don't leave a lasting memory even at 6 months old. I really don't want her thinking I always leave her coz I go to work or even just from tonight leaving her in hospital for an hour alone (the staff kept checkin on her of course).
Anyway, I'm completely wrecked coz I've been up since 3am and wasn't sleeping too well prior to that either. Off to bed and looking forward to a hopefully uninterrupted sleep! No snorring, no crying, no vomit! Just me and the cat and I might put some relaxing music on also.
-
I'm so over cleaning & I still have so much to do!
The owners are going to put our house on the market. They have drawn us up another lease so we are locked in for another 6 months no matter who buys it, but they are trying to sell to an investor so we won't have to worry at all.
So I'm spring cleaning. Cleaning the house out properly for when they come & take photo's. You know, getting all the kids pen marks off the walls that I've left & the few condensation marks we had.
Oh & the little foot & hand prints we have above the kids beds & under the towel rail (Jaz swings off it) & around the door frames that I don't get to every day.
Lucky me! So much fun! At least I'm getting rid of some clutter.
-
Went to see Jazz at lunch time. She still has no energy and is not herself as you can imagine.
Gave her a bottle and then started giving her some food which she was very interested in. But then she seemed to have a little bit of trouble swallowing the food and gagged and threw up about half of her bottle. The nurse told Matt to try giving her another 50ml in an hours time. Doctor will be coming about 4-5 this afternoon and a decision will be made then if she can come home or if she stays for another night.
As of this morning there was a 50/50 chance she would be discharged. I hope the incident at lunch time doesn't reduce the chance of her coming home.
-
The doctor is still saying it's a bad case of gastro. She said they may release her on a temporary leave meaning she'll come home tonight and if we have any problems (eg, she throws up again) then we bring her straight into the ward (skip emergency thank goodness) and if by 9am tomorrow everything is fine then we call and let them know and she stays home. Matt is just talking to them now to find out if that's what's happening or not and he'll let me know shortly so I know if I am going home or to the hospital.
Since lunch time she hasn't taken very much orally and it was apparently a fight to get her to have just 50ml of a bottle. This is completely out of character for her, she loves eating and drinking but I guess when you're not feeling well that's the last thing you want to do and they are reluctant to let her go until she's accepting food & drinks orally.
-
danni - hope jazz starts eating soon.. poor bubba.
did you manage to ask the day care if it's just her or other kids too?
-
Oh danni I hope this over for you all soon you must be exhausted and so worried about jazz
skye good excuse for a spring clean I guess..my folks are my landlords and i am always so paranoid when they come around they never say any thing mond they dont care but i do. good luck getting it all done

Jazz is at home on "short term leave" so if she goes well tonight then we don't take her back but if she's still not good then we'll go back to the ward.
Also a milestone (but not at a good time for her when she was already feeling like crap), she cut her first tooth today!
I'll call the child care centre to let them know. Even though she doesn't go there anymore, they still need to know coz of the timing. FDC lady has been calling regularly to check that she's ok, she really cares heaps about her and said that if she's feeling well enough she can come on Thurs but if we get a clearance from the doctor that it wouldn't count as time off which I think means we wouldn't have to pay for yesterday and today (not that I care if we do pay coz it's not much). So hopefully she wont have a big chuck episode (or even better, any chucking at all).
Matt has gone for a drive to my sister's place to pick up some boxes they didn't use coz we might be moving on the weekend. (should know by tomorrow if we have the house).
-
I'm glad Jazz is home Danni. Hope she stays there & comes good soon.
First tooth! Poor little bubba!! I don't think we are even close to teeth yet.
-
glad to hear jazz is home, hope she gets better soon..
bron - lol. it's to do w malaysian politics. the ruling party has been in power since independence, 1957. the new oppostion party, the leader (who was previously in the ruling party and deputy prime minister who was thrown in jail for alledged charges, and now has come back as the opposition leader) said he had enough ppl from the ruling party who were going to walk the floor and join his party. And thus throwing the govt out. Today was D-Day but nothing like happened, just a press conference.
LOL - i dont think poopy likes fish very much. today i got some canned salmon and mixed w potato and asparagus. he didnt like it. i made some cereal and snuck it in and he ate it. will need to try the fish in curry again.
did you use fresh tuna or canned?
im going to see my naturopath next week, i want to get some homeopathic tissue salts for teething. and also some homeopathic for depression.
i sent Jade an sms last week but didnt hear from her. i hope she's ok.
-
Morning... got to make it quick this morning
Danni - hope Jazz is doing OK and had a good night
Bron - glad will liked the tuna, havent heard from Jo ro teach lately, I think Jo is in The Jan thread though, i will have to organise a get together... i hope you are feeling better soon, your really are to be admired :)
Prama - i think i totally missed what ever it is you are talking about wirh politics... I give tinned tuna, just flakes and let her pop them in her moth,, she loves them
Re the teething homeopathic stuff, i have just ordered an amber teething necklace for MJ, in essence it is a homeopathic/naturopathic remedy as the amber has something in it that releases when it gets heated up from the warmth of the skin... if you go to Baltic Amber Teething Necklaces | Teething Relief | amberbebe.com there is a heap of information, also there has recently been a thread on it... i paid $36 for mine as i bought it through an NZ site and exchange rate works in our favour :) I take a homeopathic remedy when i get all teay and axious, it works soooo well, i am calm within minutes. Cant wait for my homeopathic friend to get back from the UK
Trina - hope you enjoyed you massage and reiki... i was trained in reiki years ago, i think that it is wonderful... i should do it again really, when i was pg i use to do it in the early stages every night and morning on my belly - hope you have a good debreif and vent too
Going to a music class with MJ this morning. really looking forward to it
