Jazz was so good yesterday at my uncle's wedding. She didn't sleep long but was so contented. Today she was good too. I took her to the shops and I was trying on outfits and she was just sitting in her stroller quietly and then eventually fell asleep. She went to sleep easily tonight in my arms. I thought I'd just cuddle her until she fell asleep coz I don't get the chance to do that very often since I've been working full time.
She is starting to play rough now which is fun. And she's started "kissing" but it's open mouth and she wants to go for the lips not the cheeks. If I try and turn my head for her to kiss my cheeks, she'll move so she gets my mouth. It's slobbery and gross, but she's my bub so it's not so bad except when she decided to poke her tongue out...ewwwww.
Guess what! I'm gonna be an aunty again (you may or may not have seen my sister's announcement. This is number 3 for her and it'll be either my 5th niece or my first nephew.
-
I saw the post. Congrats Danni (& again to you Ali!!)
Jesse has been giving kisses for a while. Its lovely isn't it!
He's started blowing rasberries & giving 5 too!
Still rocking & belly flopping, lol. Not crawling yet, but he's getting around enough! He's into EVERYTHING!!
Prama - You will get through this. I promise. It will be hard without Steve, but you're strong girl!! I cried when Anth went back to work after Jesse was born. I was terrified of being alone with 3 kids all day, but I did it. & I've had time with him away too. Keep busy & before you know it he'll be home. BB is a good distraction!
Bron - I feel for ya hun. All the bogans! My dad rang me today to tell me to put the race on - 'Ford is in front!!'
I thought of you, laughed & went back to BB. Not my thing.
School starts again on Tuesday. Yay!!!!!!!
SJ, Shell, Trina & Jo - Hope you are all well & your little bubblies aren't too much trouble with teeth & all!
-
thanks heaps skye... i'm sitting in the lounge room feeling very lonely. Poopy went to bed about 6.30...
steve was away a lot when i was pg, but it's of cos harder now w a bub and being at home...
lol - poopy kisses like that too. slobbery kisses, it's so cute, and ticklish. i absolutely love it. i cant stop giggling when he does it and he gets more and more encouraged. he does the tongue thing too. hahaha. he sort of claps his hands but not palms together, more of one hand over the other, like he's slapping his own wrist..
sigh. am so tempted to go to bed, crap on tv. but i just ate so have to wait awhile..
-
Jazz claps but she claps with her feet! In my body balance class we do this pose right at the end before relaxation called "happy baby pose" and it is where we lay on our backs, knees bent and hands grabbing the inside of the feet...just like a baby. Jazz does that all the time now so when I do that pose in balance it reminds me of her.
-
awwww prama  hope you are feeling better soon. Summy claps her hands like that too, also gives big slobbery tongue kisses makes me laugh too, she grabs each side of my head really tight and wont let go.....
Skye i'll send you one now...... Been trying to keep busy to keep my sanity sorry babe..
Hope you cope ok with all the bogans Bron they should start to go tomorrow hopefully...... nothin like a bogan or a few thousand hehe
Hope everyone else is doing ok....
-
Prama - Do you play solitaire?
Hmmm..... You could get That's Life & Take 5 & read them then do the puzzles.
Might help pass some time?
-
Hi Girls, sorry for the silence, i dont seem to have had a moment free lately, well i have caught up on whats been going on when i express at 4am (ahhhhh) but too hard to write at that time!
Going to have to make this quick as gotta go out shortly so i am sorry if i forget something/one
Prama - sorry that you are so low at the moment, it is hard with Steve going away and you not being able to come, you can do it though, you are a fantastic Mummy and lakshman is so lucky to have you.
Skye suggestions are good, is there something that you are 'into' or could you go to spotlight and get a sewing project r knitting crocetting??? something to challange you in the evenings and maybe learn a new sill... i have just bought a crochet pattern and wool (i dont know how to crochet) and have looked up on the internet how to get started and am hoping to make something, give me something other to do than watch TV that makes me lonely.
Shell, I hope DJ is feeling much better, sounds like e is having a it of a rough time lately
Danni - so cute on the kisses, MJ has been doing that for a while, she loves to do it on shoulders or knees as that way she gets a good seal and ends it in a raspberry - its so funny!
Cool that you are going to be an aunty again, will you get up to see your sister when she is pg?
Skye - i am so happy that things are moving forward for you and that you are getting a bit of assistance, sounds like you need to get out of there, and being in a bigger town/area will mean that there is more additional support/assistance for you - how is Jaz doing lately???
Jo - great to hear from you, we will have to catch up again soon, Caitlin looks adorable, thanks for the tip also on the carbs at night, i have made sure that MJ gets a bit more carbs in the evening and she is sleeping better now.... still waking once, but i think that it is a bit of sep anxiety as, as soon as one of us goes in and pics her up she is fast asleep again, think she just wants to know that we are still there...
Trina - wow you are getting on that horse a lot - i am so jealous, i wish i had an outlet like that (just wish i had a horse again really :)) Sounds like summy is a handfull, as much as i wat MJ to crawl i am happy that she is not yet ready! she is haking tentitive movve forwards but thats it for now
She is pulling herself to a stand in her bath now, its so funny and she thinks that she is so clever, scared the sh*t out of me the first time though...
How did the girls go camping?
MJ is now clapping (started yesterday) gets her palms together most times... she is also sort of waking, which is really cute.
Oh and if we hold her legs down she will do a sit up and then move her legs so thats she stays sitting... she is so strong!
She 'dances' in time to music too, shaking and nodding her head and rocking her body, it is sooo cute it makes me laugh.
Bron - hope you are OK and the bogans didnt drive you to bonkers! How are you feeling?
My course starts thursday and mum is coming to ppick MJ up and i wont see her til saturday arvo :( i am really looking forward to the course but i am going to miss her soooooo much... DH is also starting a massive job and will not be around much this week (leaving early and home probably between 9-12 each night) it goes for a few weeks so wont see him much at all.
Staying in the sity on Thursday and friday night as it will be easier for the course, My sister is doing it too, so may have a couple of drinksone evening.
I have been a milking cow lately, Mum needed 4L of milk for the course (1.25L + /day thursday, fri sat) and what i express during the cousre will be for DH when he looks after MJ on Sunday.
Its going to be a full on week
Right i will leave it at that... sorry its so long, sorry also if forgot anything
Take care
Oh forgot to say - got free ticks to the nickelodeon Kids choice awards and took DSS and MJ on Staurday... DSS got to meet Rove and the kids from are you smarter than a 5th grader! there where heaps of celebs there it was great and MJ was soooooooooooooooooo good, she didnt cry once and there was so much screaming and yelling and noise... we even managed a full BF (and for thiose that are still BF will know how distracted they get and they pull loads) without hurting me or puling off a million times. Bought a hug-a-bub and it was brilliant, so comfortable, wish i had got it earlier, wore her facing front and back and it was great....

Hi girls,
DJ is getting better, going to take him back to the doctors though I think his cough seems a bit chesty but I thought that last week and the doctor said it wasn't...... and now I am sick (yes sick once again!!!!) arghhhhh so sick of being sick. And Doni left this morning and is away for 7 nights which is the longest time he has ever been away. Not sure how I will cope, but mum said she will pop over when she can.
SJ - good luck for your course, sounds like it is something you really want to do :) and how cute is MJ she is growing so quick. Don't you just wish we could all meet-up in person so we can all meet our little babies? :)
Prama - yeah husbandless this week grrrrr not happy either. It must be hard for you not having your family here. Could any of your friends pop over for a few hours and give you a bit of a break? Mum is hoping to pop over tomorrow night for me but only for a few hours, but that will be great in itself so I can just have some me time especially since I will be at work tomorrow. arghhhh going to be a tough week with no Doni, and I am sick and work this week arghhhhh DJ only has a small cough now so hopefully he will be right for daycare tomorrow. Going to take him docs though to see what they think..... I can't take time off from work but I will probably just leave work early tomorrow.
Bron/Trina - yeah I have had DJ forward facing for a week now. He is 8.25kg and was 8kg when we turned him. He didn't know what to do at first but loves it. I was told they could be turned at 8kg as well :)
Skye - the house sounds great and if an investor buys it they may want to rent it out so you may have a longer lease than the 6 months. Most investors would prefer to rent out properties :)
Everyone else, hope you are well, I don't have the energy to do anymore personals. Need to blow my nose and rest up.
Shell xx

thanks girls!
skye - i do play solitare on the pc, but have no idea what That's Life & Take 5 are:redface:
sj - thanks for your kind words.., i dont know how to crochet but always wanted to learn. i think i will do my journal, part of my meditation class, i have to write up on my awareness of things around me and my actions. ive been procrastinating. but tonight, im going to cook up a batch of poopy's food for the next few days. im just cooking a big batch of curry for myself.
do you have to go away for your course? it's hard to go away for so many days :(
any chance if it's not too far away, dh can bring her over for a visit?
shell - sorry didnt confirm about today.. i was just too tired.
so glad that dj is heaps better, hope you get better too...
most of my friends live too far away... im having lunch w steve mum tomorrow and thursday so it will help.. wed is mother's group.. friday, i think i'll have to start packing. good thing im such a lazy unpacker most of our clothes are still in the bag.
the nights are hard, huh...
poopy did something amazing... he was so tired he went to bed at 6.15pm, grizzled a bit here and there but didnt really wake up till 6am when he did a big grizzle when i went to check on him. have him the boob and he went back to sleep till 7.. he's never done that!!!
of cos i didnt sleep well cos i kept getting up to check on him every hour cos he'd normally wake up in the middle of the night.
oh well, that was a great sleep for him.. dont expect a repeat tonight!!
oh yes, poopy's forward facing now, he's almost 8kgs but we decided we should cos he was gettig too big for the capsule. he loves it.. he can see heaps and he looks like a big boy. and im happy cos i can look at him and the sun isnt in his face...

Prama - That's Life & Take 5 are magazines.
Not the usual trashy mags. They are about real people & thair stories.
They won't be hard to find, but they can be hard to put down.
They have puzzle pages inside & an entry form. You do all the puzzles, put all the answers on the form & send it in & you can win heaps of prizes too.

Went to doctors and DJ has a mild bronchilitis and needs the asthma puffer, but with the use of a spacer and mask of course.... poor little darling..... looks like he will have asthma like me. Mine is pretty mild, not too bad, so hopefully his is just like mine only comes around when sick. He is still pretty happy and cheerful though, so that is a good sign. I got a pill prescription finally too so once aunt flow arrives I will be back on the pill again.
Prama - oh wow on the big 12 hour sleep hope he will do that for you this week while Steve is away :) that is great you will be seeing Steve's mum tomorrow it will be a nice break for you. But yeah the nights are very hard that is for sure. I am hoping DJ's bronchilitis don't cause him to wake up too much tonight because I have work tomorrow arghhhh so fingers crossed. I had to wash the spacer and mask before using it on him, so hopefully it will be dry shortly. Can't use towels or anything to dry it. Hopefully that will help so he isn't wheezing...
I better go got to start getting stuff organised for tomorrow.
Shell xxx
-
thanks skye - hehe i think if seen those mags...
oh shell - poor little dj, i really hope he sleeps thru tonight.. poor darling bubba.. it must be bothering him....
if im drying stuff, and dont want to use a towel, i use the hair dryer, could you try that for spacer and mask?
i guess it's a bit of a catch 22, it's hard for you if dj doesnt sleep well, and you have to go to work. and it's really hard to concentrate at work when you're buggered.
i better go get his dinner organised
-
Thanks Prama, it dried on time. He is really sleepy after each time I use it and it makes him unsettled. A friend of mine said their little girl had to go through the same thing and they get used it it, it is just different for them and they get used to the feeling of it etc..... I do hope he sleeps well tonight, otherwise I will just have to have alot of coffee at work tomorrow haha One positive is the wheezing in his breathing has settled down a bit :) YAY
-
shell - here's hoping the boys give us an easy night, seeing that their daddies are away!
and so glad to hear his wheezing has settled :D
xoxox
-
Shell - I wouldn't worry too much about DJ getting asthma.
First of all, its hard to diagnose under 2 coz their airways are so small any way. So can develop wheezing easier than older kids & adults.
2nd, docs some times prescribe ventolin of some sort simply to help the air ways open. If it was to do with asthma you'd probably be told to look into a nebuliser & have a preventative puffer as well.
I was there with Jaz at 18 months. It took 6 months for them to agree it was asthma.
Good luck on those sleeping babies tonight girls!
-
My friend that is in England for the next month sent her DP over yesterday with some homeopathic pillues for Molly Jane to help with her teething... what an awesome friend!!! she had a dose when she work for the 3rd time last night and has slept ever since. Hopefully it works :crossfingers: Trying to avoid Panadol totaly as there is a like between early use and Asthma
Prama - I dont HAVE to stay away, but as it is an intensive 4 day course 9am-5pm we decided that with the travel time etc and having to study in the evening AND DH on this massive job, so not able to help with MJ , that it would be better for me to stay away for the first 2 nights so that i can focus on the course and get some quality sleep.
Its going to kill me, but i know that it is the better option for all of us... MJ will get all the love and attention that she needs and that one on one time and i will get some sleep and be able to study without feeling guilty about neglecting her (although i still will :()
Still its only 4 days, and i am coming home Sat night, so will see her then, and then it will be all over on sunday arvo.
Shell - hope DJ is OK, i do agree with Skye however, its more likely that he was presrcibed ventolin to help with his airways than anything else. Try not to worry (easier said than done thou)
A day of cleaning and organising for me today me thinks
have a good one everyone
-
Jazz still has a cough from when she had bronchilitis a few months ago. She hasn't gotten over it really. Perhaps I should take her to the doctor again. She is still very rattly when she breathes. Surely by now she can have something. Doc wouldn't give anything last time because she was too young. I think she was 4 months then.
-
We haven't turned Caitlin around yet, but she isn't 8 kg's anyway. Also we are going to the USA for Christmas and the road rules over there are they have to be rear facing until they are 12 months so we don't want to turn her around here and then have her crack it over there when she is rear facing again. I just hope that she continues to fit properly in her seat facing backwards until we get home.
SJ - Have fun at your course. Hopefully you wont miss MJ too much and if you are you could always go for a drive one night to see her!
Prama - Hope you are feeling a bit better. Why don't you do a website for Lakshman? I did one for Caitlin and it has a blog so I have to keep updating it for her and it certainly keeps me busy! If you want to check it out the address is - Caitlin Grace Evans
Danni - They can't give anything for Bronchiolotis as it is a virus. Caitlin still has a rattle and an occasional cough from when she had it also. This is a link to the info sheet that the hospital gave me - Kids health info for parents
