boo :-P
sorry havent posted all weekend, been flat out.
shell - dont fell like a bad mumma, these things happen and as steve always tells me when i feel guilty for small things, 'if that's the worse thing that happens to poopy, he'll be all right'
my friend when her daughter was little left her dummy at home when htey went away on holidays, and didnt get one and she actually weaned off her dummy.
mj - woo hoo on potty training! i got poopy one but havent started yet.
trina - sorry things are rough...
XH brought this upon himself, i guess, he must have been taking you and the all that you do for the kids for granted. but the girls will know that you've always been there for them, sacrificing so much..... do you have friends that can help out or offer a shoulder to cry on?
geez! im petrified of teeth now!!! his sucks are getting stronger and that hurts, and he also chews on them..
bron - will is one happy bubba!! it's great that he's eating all sorts of foods.
im still holding off poopy from foods with little seeds, the paed said it can cause his eczema to get worse. :( tho i did give him zucchini. so no tomatoes, strawberries, kiwi fruit etc..
re- eggs, he will have to wait till a year old..
skye - do you know when you will move?
sorry i was going to write to more to everyone.. im just zonked.
we had a malaysian/singaporean society dinner in the city on fri nite and didnt get home till almost midnight. we had to take poopy w us. i was very surprised, he was very very well behaved and didnt fuss at all. probably cos everyone was fussing over him and there was so much going on.
then had to wake up at 4.30 for meditation class on sat, and that was a long day too.
we got his forward facing car seat installed. he's such a big boy now, he can look forward. he looks so grown up sitting there!
i'll miss having him in the capsule.
went to mil's for dinner and he refused to go to sleep. i think he's getting manipulative and cheeky. he cries and then falls asleep, as soon as imove he wakes up. sometimes he grizzles so much while im holding him, then when i put him over my shoulder to soothe him, he has this mischevious glint and smile that says, im getting my mother to do what i want. he's smiling away..
it's getting terrible.
we went for a swim today so that was nice too..
anyway, off to bed. cooking up the last of his meals for thenext few days....
Hi all.
No idea when we are moving. There are no houses at all to rent atm in Scotts Head. Plenty in Nambucca Heads, but I want Jaz to go to school with all her friends & they are in Scotts.
I would drive back & forth, but I don't think we'll be able to afford it. & being public schools they are zoned, so going from a bigger town/school to a smaller one it probably wouldn't be allowed.
I'm trying to convince Anth to let me go stay with mum til I find a house so we can get Jaz started there. Anth reckons we should wait til christmas hols. I have been thinking about it, but I dunno if I can stay here that long. I didn't have the best of days today & its only the start of the holidays.
I just want my mum!
I turned Jesse's car seat a few weeks ago. We went for a drive in MILs car & I just put it in forwards coz it was quicker & just decided to keep it that way when it went back into our car. I really miss him backwards though...he seems too grown up!
Jesse's getting manipulative too! I was cooking tea & he was quite happily playing til I walked into the lounge room. The second he saw me he started winging! I walked out, he stopped!
Oh well...He's my baby. I can't help but to give in to his every demand!
:grouphug: Hope every one had a good weekend.
Yep, Jazz has definately got her 2nd tooth. I can't belive it! 2 in one week but mum said that is normal. Jazz & my parents had a great time this weekend. Mum said she was a little angel. She got up at 1am and 6am and then 8am. They took her to church and then mum took her shopping and said the whole time they were grocery shopping Jazz was inspecting her dummy and growling and making other happy noises. She's out like a light now.
Prama my mum god bless her painstaikingly seperate a whole carton of eggs and made an egg yolk custard which is ok ffrom 6 months on. I guess though if poopy has excma and stuff is much better to avoid anything that will flare it up including possible allergies such as with the strawberries. Guess we have been lucky so far.
danni yay on jazz's 2nd tooth well done!!
now we have to wait for jesses tooth too :-)
Time for bed night night all xx

Just added a couple of new pics!
Great pics skye! He sits so well! I'm so looking forward to Jazz sitting completely by herself, she's almost there. She gets really annoyed with laying down all the time now but if we aren't there to catch her while she's sitting she falls head first all the time.
bron - re egg yolk, all the literature i've read and been told, they've asked to introduce yolks at 9mths..
mil showed me an article the other day that says that now researches are saying you can introduce solids at 4mths! these things go full circle.
i have been adding tiny bits of pepper, nutmeg into poopy's food. once he's 8 mths, i might add tiny bit of paprika and see how it goes. i add onion and garlic, but havent done ginger yet.
skye - your babies are gorgeous angels!!
danni - wow 2 teeth..
poopy seems more settled, no more restlessness that i thot was due to teething. mil said steve didnt get his tooth till he was 13mths! anyway, the later he gets his tooth, the longer i can bf..
i think im going to crawl into bed and watch tv there..
this movie Fido looks funny...
Skye, awesome pics, the girls are really cute :)
Bron - how good is your mum!!! TBH i have given whole egg to MJ, but it is totally cooked... she seems to be fine with it. I have heard loads of conjecture as to whether foods should be help off until what ever is the recommended age, its hard to know what to do!
Danni - two teeth wow!
Shell - your a great mummy, forgetting a dummy - in the scheme of things, who cares... you didnt forget about DJ, that would be terrible, do be so hard on yourself, you are back at work and being a mum, you are bound to forget things now and then, I do and i only work one day!
Trina - sorry things are hard. The girls are going to think that the sun shins out of exDH butt as they dont get to see him that often and when he does see them he can give them his undivieded attention, so it will be fun... But your girls will soon figure out which side their bread is buttered, especially if he is turning up drunk (the nasty side of me hopes that its because he realised what he has let go and feels so bad about it - sorry thats horrid, but man, he is a fool!!!)
Have you started the process of CS? hopefully if you do have to give up work, the money that XDH will have to give you will make up for it, that and the increased amount from centrelink :crossfingers:
Sorry that your Mum is moving away - what a cr@ppy time.
MJ is up on all fours, rocking and taking what i can only discibe as bunny hops!!! She is not going too far yet, but it will not be long.
She has also figured how to safely get from sitting (she has been sitting alone and unsuppoted for aboyt 3-4 weeks now) to lying. Sometimes she will go down to quickly, but wow she has changed soooo much this last month...
Happy 7 months Summer - i cant believe it has been SEVEN whole months... how our lives have changed
Mj is teething pretty bad too - the necklace that we got was obvioulsy helping as she had it off yesterday afternoon and night. I didnt click, but DH said, why do you think that she is sooo niggeley, After being up with her for nearly 2 hours over night we put the two together... the necklace is back on now and she has been a lot more settled so i guess that it is helping to a point, i fuigure like everythiing, its not going to take al the pain away, but if it helps a bit its worth it.
Prama did you get some things for poopy?
The dinner sounded great, so good that you had a well behaved bubba for the night, it makes it so much more enjoyable.... how are you feeling this week?
Sorry for the novel, Have a great night everyone :)
sj - wow mj is doing so much!!! poopy's nowhere near sitting on his own.
he's trying to, he lies on his side like he's a sexy lingerie model hahahah, then sometimes lifts his bum and pushes his legs back. and sometimes tries to angle his bum like he wants to sit.
thanks, i was amazed and surprised that he was so well-behaved.usually when he's tired and sleepy he just cracks it.
yeah, these food things, one time you hear one thing and then another. has anyone given shellfish etc?
thanks sj - ive had a crappy week on and off. i finally got some anti-depressants, i didnt want to but then i had a chat w my gp.. we're just going to try and see how it goes...
We are having a bad night. I'm pretty sure its teething, constipation & being way over tired all in one.
Jesse's probably only slept 2 hours all day & is laying here now on the boob just grizzling & stretching & just doesn't wanna settle. He's so tired. I haven't been able to put him down all day. As soon as I do he starts screaming.
Poor bubba.
prama - I've given Jesse prawns.
Sorry guys. Can't write more. He's just dozed off. Another 10 minutes & I might be able to put him down.
BTW - Shell, was it you who had the constipation with teething? What did you do?
Yeah, I can't believe 2 teeth in the space of 1 week! It's like the day before the tooth cuts she's a bit out of sorts, then the day it cuts she's very grumpy, then the next day everthing is normal again. I wonder if there will be a break before the 3rd tooth comes.
Prama I hope the anti d's give you some balance. it is a big decision to go on them but in a few weeks when all things seem easier to handle you will be happy you did. They are not like the old days of additive stuff and making you feel like a zombie.
yay on the spices I add a little cinnamon to the apples and pepper to other foods also chicken stock when I do the veges ( low salt or make my own) I;d like for WIll to have a good vaired palate as he grows up I love all sorts of food so hope he gets to taste them all through child hood.
*LMAO*@ the lingere model thats classic
SJ I have given Will full egg now too in quiche. I have sort tried him on pretty well everything though not the baked beans yet my boy is smelly enough as it is *L*
Skye hope jesse gets through the teething soon and you get some sleep. YOur kids are gorgeous those smiley girls butter wouldnt melt in their mouths huh. I wish WIll coudl sit like Jess he is starting to crawl forward but when he sits he gets frustrated that he cant move around quick enough *L
Danni wow on the 2 teeth sounds like Jazz handles it really well halfyour luck
*waves hello to shell* hope you and dj are well
Ok am off to do the rest of the ironing blahhhhhh
Have great day girls
Bron xx
Hi all.
I am sooooooo tired! Jesse went into his cot & slept til about 1.30. (Better than I thought) I brought him into our bed when he woke & he slept well for about an hour, then spent the rest of the night grizzling.
He was awake crying like he had a pain in the belly between about 4 & 6, then woke up every 20 - 30 minutes grizzling, so I gave him the boob & he went to sleep after about 5 minutes.
Went on like that all morning. I made myself get up at 10 (the girls have been up since 8), but Jesse only woke up about 20 minutes ago at 11am!
Poor baby really needed the extra sleep. I've got a massive headache coz I'm so tired.
Off to have a shower & wake myself up before we go down the street for lunch. (Stopping at the corner shop for panadol on the way!!)
Oh, BTW - After all that there are no teeth yet!
oh skye - that's so tiring.. that's awful. hopefully the panadol will help him sleep a bit, and then hopefully you can get some rest too.
 you poor darling. poor bubbas they seem so in pain and tooth doesnt appear for ages.. it's not fair.
bron - thanks hun.. it is a big decision but i thought in the end to stop thinking abt myself, that i would feel like a failure etc, and do it for steve and poopy.
i cant wait for him to start on curry! LOL.
that's one of the things i asked the day care, they do all different types of food, chinese, indian, greek, italian, aussie.. i want him to get a taste of different stuff there too. and the day care has a good mix of kids and staff from different ethnic backgrounds.
ive been meaning to put the washing away, and it's been days! LOL.
bron still no news about the meds? :(
OMG this has never happened before!!
I just gave poopy his lunch, he was hungry and had a bit more than usual. And I put him on the floor to play before i gave him his milk and i was typing the last post.
he was playing and then i saw him lying on his tummy grizzling a bit. as i sent off the post, he was asleep!!!
OMG! I wish i could just put him down and he'd sleep on his own. sorry it's a big shock as often he fights his sleep. I picked him up and put him in his cot and he fell asleep again without a fuss.
Can I have this not all day but most of the day??!!!!
Touch wood! I hope she keeps being like that! She's really entertaining herself quite well now and is totally facinated by her hands and feet. She can't get her feet in her mouth yet but is getting more flexible with grabbing them. In my body balance class we do a pose called "happy baby pose" where we lay on our backs and have our legs bent wide at the knees and hold the soles of the feet just like a baby does. Whenever I do it, I always think of Jazz!
OMG! I know how sad this sounds, but, JESSE DID A POO!!!
Here I was stressing the last 3 - 4 days coz he hasn't done one & he finally did!
Ok sorry. Feeling better now.
I took the kids for a walk down the street for lunch & had a bit of a look around. Wasn't too bad. I'm a bit sore, but I think the panadol on the way down helped me a bit.
Prama - hope the ADs help you. I'm still tossing up getting them myself. I was told I'd have to stop BFing to take them, but there are a few girls on here who are bfing & taking them, so I'm thinking about it.
