Jazz has a really good routine at daycare, I just have to remember to keep it going on weekends which has been easier while Matt's been away. He comes home tomorrow night.
We had a drama when we went to McDonalds last night. You can read about it here https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...dle-brawl.html

hi guys,
sorry another me post.. im sick now.. vomitting all night, and now i think i have gastro too. poopy's better, only one vomit today but still not wanting to play a lot and just wants lots of cuddles...
my poor little itty bitty. he's having jus a little to eat, mostly bread and plain rice. no formula at the moment, so fully bf. formula will make his gut worse, cos it's dairy.
im going to start cow's milk the day after his birthday. (he might be overwhelmed on his b'day so dont want to start something new). some theories say gradually add cow's milk with their formula, other's say just give it to them and see how it goes. im going to see if he'll take just plain cow's milk
once they are 12 mths they need 600ml of dairy in their diet daily, this includes milk, cheese, yoghurt etc.
poopy still fights his self settling during hte day but at night he seems to go down ok. he slept from 6.30pm to 5am. i saw on the baby monitor he stood up and whinged a bit for a couple of minutes or so and then lay himself down which he has never done. and went back to sleep till 6.. so that's something good.
sorry gotta go.. think im going to puke again...

Oh Prama, i know exactly how you feel... its awful isnt it.
Hopefully you have the same one as me.
Vomiting for the first night, then no more real vomity nausea.
The next few days were just diarrhoea and i felt really weak. DH found that if he ate boiled lollies he had enough energy to do stuff and he went back to eating quicker than i did and seemed to get over it quicker.
At the hospital the information sheet that they gave me said after the first day, not to restict normal diet other than high fat or rich/spicy foods in MJ as the food help push it through.... i must admit for the first 2 days i cut out her solids as i didnt think they would help, next time i will give her rice/toast for the first day or two and then back to normal diet. I found as soon as i put her back on 3 meals her diarrhoea cleared up.
I hope you and Poopy are feeling better soon and that Steve manages to avoid it. We also found that if someone didnt get it within 48 hrs of the last person they were safe - fingers crossed for steve.
Hope you get to put you feet up and have a rest, take care of yourself
Oh forgot to mention....
In DSS's christmas letter he asked for MJ's first tooth... Christmas night at about 6pm we saw a slit in her gum and a tiny bit of tooth poking out - ahhh the magic of christmas, we told DSS that he gave MJ her first tooth as he asked for it :)
-
thanks heaps SJ...
Yeah i was having vomity nausea all of yest, but heaps better today. little bit of the runs last night but heaps better today. steve's good so far so hope he's avoided it.
poopy's having 3 meals but bland stuff, bread, plain rice, pasta w vegemite..im making him some very soft rice w carrots and swede for lunch, hope he goes ok. if he's ok w that, i'll go back to our normal meal but will wait and not give dairy till tomorrow i guess.
hooray MJ - what a wonderful x'mas gift!! DSS must be so pleased...
so poopyremains the last toothless wonder!!! hahaha

OMG! Thats so unfair!
Jesse had me awake & playing at 10 to 7 this morning! Waaaay too early.
Well all the family is gone now. I had Anthony's sister here for a week, then his parents for the weekend. Now they are all gone. Tonight will be our first night here alone. Its already strangely quiet & they only left half hour ago.
Oh well, back to reality I spose. Time to finish sorting this house out & getting back into a routine.
I'll be back. Crying baby...
-
LOL - with sleeping thru the night, poopy is awake from 5am!!! good grief!
skye - hope it all falls into place again
-
Well I just tried to upload some pics of our house onto facebook, but for some reason it failed, so the album is still empty. Tomorrow.
Going to bed now, both the little one's are sick, lucky me.
First night here alone & not nearly as scary as I thought it'd be!
Anyways, night guys!
-
I shouldn't have said anything - he didn't sleep through last night, woke at several times - damn teething grrrrrrrr
Hopefully tonight he will sleep through *prays*
Hope you are all well xxx

Happy 10 months DJ!!!
We are down to only i get up over night, i have to feed MJ then, but she goes down really well and although she wakes occasionally overnight i dont have to go in anymore, she just settles herself back to sleep - but as you have found shell, that can all change so quickly.
Stinking hot here today, sh ehas only just gone to bed, thats really late for her as she is normally down between 7.30 and 8.30pm.
Did a silly thing today, MJ was having some nappy off time, and she fell asleep when having a feed, so i poped her down in her cot without a nappy as i didnt want to wake her... went she woke, she quietly sat ther playing with the poo that she had done and 'finger painted' it all over the cot and her legs ahhhhhhhh :o i cant believe i would be that silly, i even knew that she was due a poo. **** it was gross, straight in the shower and all the stuff was washed, lucky its so hot today as it was all dry in an hour.
gotta go, just thought i would share

OMG SJ, PMSL!!!
Jesse & Jaz were both on the verandah the other night looking out over the water. I thought it was cute & took a couple of pics, then Jesse got interested in something under his feet.
I thought nothing of it til Jaz yelled out Ew, he pood! He'd had it therethe whole time & was playing with it with his feet!
Looking out over the water my butt! He was concentrating!!
I got some pics on face book of our house & views today.
-

Happy 11mths Lakshman :cheer: not long to go now!
no pictures, i didnt want any of it to find its way to her face or mouth EWWWWW
went to see FDC people yesteday and again today, i hate it, i dont want to leave MJ with any of them, non of them will love her like i do and how do i know that they really will do the things that i ask them too... will they leave her to cry.
It was awful i was almost in tears at the ladies place... dont get me wring, she was lovely, but i dont want to do it :(
-
thanks sj..
will u leave mj at fdc when u back to work? it's so hard isnt it.. im finding it so painful to think that he's going to be there 5 days and im going to miss him and everything he does so much. he's growing up so quick and i wont be tehre.
i feel the same, will they give him cuddles, it wont be the same as lying on his mummy's chest when he's tired or feeling icky. will they stroke his hair and comfort him. they wont kiss him when he's sad.. of cos i dont want them to kiss him.. but i know he will enjoy it, he loves kids and new things.. but im being selfish and wanting him.. i love him so much, my heart just overflows..
he's calling for me now.. he'll always be my itty bitty poopy
-
Are you guys going to start them off slowly or just start them when you go back to work?
Maybe if you started now for an hour or two, two or three times a week it would be easier for both of you to adjust?
-
I am a big cuddler and kisser myself and I know our centre is well known for its closeness to the children. We are big beleivers in cuddles and stroking of hair etc an dbuggar the pc stuff the child has to feel safe and loved and comforted. I hope you guys can find someone who you feel will give this to your babies. Unfortunatley no one will ever do exactly the same that you do but you might get one close.A centre and or carer should make you fee liek you are a part of it all thorugh their communication with you.
WIll goes again for orientation tommorow and Friday and has had 4 days visiting. I start back to work next week after 12 months off. No I dont really want to go back but I knwo he is going to love it as he is very sociable and he is going to a place that feels good..that gives those cuddles that has laps to snuggle into and shoulders to cry on. it doesnt mean i wont cry when I leave him but I know he will be loved and cared for.
SJ do you have amny to choose from? how long until you have to leave Mj and go back to work? Its not an easy step I hop eyou find someone good.
-
Hey girls,
Waiting for friends to arrive for dinner so thought I would pop on :)
Thanks for your wishes for DJ's 10th mark :) can't believe he is already 10 months, only two more months and he will be 1..... felt like ages away when he was only 3 months old and now it is only 2 months away..... They grow up soooo fast.
Re: daycare - the daycare DJ goes to are great, they give him lots of cuddles and kisses and sing to him and nurse him to sleep. They actually love it and say that he is their favourite so they enjoy the cuddles. I love knowing he is in great hands, so helps me go to work in the mornings because he loves the carers and the other babies.
SJ - haha sounds like the poo I had to deal with today but luckily he wasn't in the cot, but near his chest of draws. The poo had gone up his back and neck and then he put his hands in it, and feet.... then I left him to get rid of the poo'y nappy and he pee'd everywhere...... haha too funny and he had the biggest grin on his face. I got a bath poured quick smart haha
Skye - checked out the photos on facebook, the place looks great, I can imagine you would be absolutely loving it!!!
Prama - happy 11 months to Poopy :) only 1 month to go for his 1st birthday.
Bron - good luck at orientation - let us know how it goes. I am a big cuddler as well, love my cuddles, especially when he sits still long enough for me to cuddle.... DJ is such a wriggler.
Re: birthdays - what are you all doing for their first birthday? I am planning on just something small with family and close friends - cake and coffee. I was going to make his 1st birthday cake :) I am receiving alot of invites from mothers in the mothers group for their babies birthdays, but for DJ's actual cake and coffee I was only going to do for family and close friends.... wondering if I just have mothers group over for cake and coffee during the week.....
