trina - hugs to you. hope u got my text. i've been retrenched twice before. it's a big shock.it's very very hard to accept but like all things it heals w time. as sj said, for me, i had much better opportunities after the retrenchment.
i hope the same happens for you. hope you wont have to deal w strange women who want to take their bras off etc.!
xoxoxo

we have a tooth!!!!
the final bub in the group has a tooth!!
he's got one poking out, top tooth on his left! no bottom teeth yet...
hahahaha he must know his mother's fr the northern hemisphere so he got his top tooth first. haha
-
Trina: I'm so sorry you have been retrenched. I've been made redundant before and it's not nice. I guess the only consolation is that it was a business decision and nothing you have done personally. Still, that doesn't make it feel any better.
Prama: As I said on FB, congratulations on the tooth!
I made the mistake of putting 5 episodes of ITNG on this morning and have had "yes my name is iggle piggle..." stuck in my head all day!
-
lol danni - since you wrote 'yes my name is iggle piggle' it's stuck in my head now!!
-
Yep seeping into my head too! Shhh!!!
Congrats on the tooth Poopy! Bout time! lol
-
I book tickets to the UK yesterday woooooo hoooooo.... its just MJ and I going (cant affort the time off for DH) but i am still really excited!
Congrats on the tooth poopy :)
There is a music festival run by the council in our park today (backs onto our back yard) should be great fun and they have a fireworks display at 10pm, looking forwrd to that, but last year our dog went missing (i am sure i would have wrote about it last year as i spent hours walking the streets looking for her) as she was so frightened. Going to lock her in the house tonight.
Had a hair cut and colour yesterday, well overdue, last time i went there was 6mths ago :(
hope you all have a great day
-
sj - that would be great to go to the uk!!! hope you are having a stoppver, it does get quite tiring w a baby/toddler.. and it's a long flight....
we are going to m'sia in aug. my cousin's getting married, im so excited, she's just like a sister to me. and poopy will be walking with her along w his second cousins.(my cousin's nieces)
yes, remember abt your doggie.. just cant believe it was a yr ago!
poopy slept 11hrs last night!! maybe cos his tooth wasnt bothering him... of course i kept waking up cos he'd wake up and plus it was too hot..
-
Nope - no stop over and i am doing it alone, i am returning with Mum, but going there its just us.
She should sleep the first leg to m'asia, as the flight leaves at midnight... its the second leg that i am worried about.
M'asian airline had an awesome sale, i got return flights for MJ and I for $1666!!!! thats soooo cheap! the cheapest we found was for 1950 and they had really bad stops and flight changes... so we are stoked.
Skye hope you are OK
Trina you too
-
wow sj that's a really really really good deal!!!
and teh crew on MH are fantastic w babies. we were so well taken care of. hope you got ur bassinet seat booked.
when do you fly? we were lucky cos i didnt have anyone next to me on the flight. they give you the row near the wall next to the toilet and galley. so they can hang the bassinet on the wall. and if there's someone next to you, they usually ask them if they minded moving elsewhere, so you have more space.
trina, skye - yes, hope you are doing ok.
shell havent heard fr u in ages.. are you partying non-stop :P
-
Yep ooked the bassinet and an infant meal  i had to giggle at that....
Was told taht the baggage allowance for mj is 20kg too - woo hoo that means i cant take all the stuff i want too...
planning on taking nappies, but using sposies for the flight... dont fancy 24hrs of nappies in my bag!!!
Did you fly Malaysian Airlines???
Glad that you said that, i have never flown with them, i usually fly singapore.
we leave on 23rd April - its nly 10 weeks away - really given me the motivation to loose the last of the baby fat!!! i am catching up with so many friends i want to look great (isnt that shallow!)
hope all is well with shell, bron and lily too
-
yes, we flew malaysia airlines.. they were so good. they served me first before the other passengers and helped with lakshman. they gave us some sposies and heinz baby food and some toys.
the baggage allowance is great. i took cloth to m'sia as well. and you dont have to worry about carry liquids on the plane as they are lenient when you hv a baby. you can take her water, drinks etc. it will be easier that'll she'll be 1 already. i had to take a thermos with cool boiled water for him to drink.
but the last trip i found it hard as he was so wriggly.. mj will probaby want to crawl around a bit. i got some toys and books for him, but he was most interested in teh paper cup from the loo.
yup, im going to endeveour to lose 5kgs by aug! nothing shallow abt wanting to lose weight, hun!!
im so excited for you!
oh, i know in m'sia the airport allows special check-in for parents w babies and children, you dont have to queue up. sydney airport doesnt. not sure about melb.
how long is your transit in m'sia? the aiport is big and nice..
-
transit is about 2.5 hours, enough to stretch legs and have a bit of a sticky nose around the place, although i will be t=stressing about gettig MJ back on in time!
-
oh are you taking a stoller too? we got $49 one fr target and it was so light and handy. kmart are having some for $30something. so much easier than a pram.
-
Hi guys.
All is ok here. Bit busy with getting things organised to get back to school.
It'll be so good to get a bit of routine happening here again.
-
skye will this be their first week at a new school?
-
Nah, Jaz was here for 6 weeks last year
Bri won't start til next year.
-
ah ok..
i just looked up which tooth poopy has - it's the left upper lateral incisors. it's not his middle top tooth but the one next to it. he's gonna look like dracula!
-
Lol prama, you will have to change his name to 'fang'
Mum has a cheap stroller that we are thinking about taking for the airports, but i am really thinking about taking my P&T as i will go up to London on my own for a few days to visit friends and i think that it would be easier with that as i can store stuff underneath, so i dont have to lug everything in bags kwim... apparently you can get a lent one for the time until you pick up the checked in one for the airports... still not decided yet - maybe we will take both
MJ saw her first fireworks display last night - she loved it
GTG BBL :)
-
yes, the airport can lend you one but they only have a few. when we were flying out, ppl had taken them so we didnt get one. i suppose you have to be there really early. but then this was syd airport.
lol fang!! that'd be right, he's starting want to bite already, just like me when i was a bub.
yaay, fireworks. we are going out for the celebrations tomorrow. will be nice, sheep shearing, wood chopping comp, and food!!
-
oooh poopy has a tooth YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Summer got her vampire teeth first too, by the time he gets the middle two they will all match up prama hehe looks so cute though.
Enjoying a kid free weekend here nice and peaceful had a nanna nap today already. so quiet and actually a lil bored *sigh* sick of feeling up and down wanna get off this roller coaster.
Am going to visit mum in March i could have gone for longer but cos i was working only booked for 2 weeks (even though kids having time off school) so can't wait to do the theme parks and have some fun..... have my girl weekend then too which will be fun
hope you are all having a great long weekend.
Trina
-
I gotta say that you do sound a bit better Trina.
Sounds like fun in QLD!
-
HappyAustraliaDay
Hope you all have a fantastic day, looks like the weather here will be great and this mmorning we are going to do some work on the house then drop DSS home then head off for a BBQ.
Trina - enjoy your kid free weekend, its hard i know, DH suffers terribly sometimes when DSS is not around, next week will be hard as he has been with us for the last 10 days  its not easy, i dont think that you ever get use to it, but i think that you learn to cope with it better...
Only 7 more years of it here!!!
Prama does Malaysian have the individual TV thingy's or one big screen - if its one big screen i think that it will annoy MJ and she wont sleep - they are directly below it right?
MJ cut her second tooth today... so thats Christmas day for #1 and Australia Day for #2... he he he she has the top right and bottom left, my lopsided girl
Anyway have a good one girls
-
sj - you get ur own tv but htere's a little one above where the bassinette gets hooked that shows the route. poopy wasnt too bad with it. it amused him for a bit while he was in the bassinet and when he feel asleep it didnt bother him.
hehe, mj's so cute.. i had thot she had 2 already...
happy australia day, and it is also invasion day today..
-
Happy Australia day. it's our 4th wedding anniversary today. Off to the swimming centre (Jazz's first time swimming). We're going to test out the floaties that we got her for Christmas.
