Hi girls i am still here just trying to get organised for back to school tomorrow.
We went camping over the long weekend and it was up to 42 degrees a few days and then constsnt rain for the next so i have lots of washing i need to do.
I will try to get back in here over the next few days and catch up once our normal school routine in back in force and i am unoacked and washed etc.

Hi girls, I guess you are all enjoying the heat as much as me ... not! We are moving on the weekend and I am just hoping that the house is cooler than the one we are in now. It has been like living in a furnace and has been 35 in here on the 40+ days. When we went to look at the house it was high 30's and had been for a couple of days, but it was actually nice and cool in there. Its going to be 43 on Saturday, so Bruno and his mate are going to move the big stuff at night. I am over summer!
Other than that not much news really. I see that the 3rd birthdays are starting soon with your family Kas. I cant believe they are going to be 3 this year. Are you having a birthday party?
I am considering a macca's party this year, but we will see.
I had a bit of a scare when I found some lumps in my breast last week. The ultrasound didnt show anything, and they are sending me to a specialist to be safer than sorry. She said there is like a 1 in a million chance of it being anything since it didnt come up on the scan. They said it could be hormonal, because of the miscarriage and the fact that I havent had a period since.
So in saying that, I am not utd. We have been trying half heartedly. It would be nice if it happened this month. A late November baby or early December would be perfect timing for us and my family with the birthdays! I cant believe I am trying to work out a time when its not everyone else's birthday! But seriously, October and November are nightmare months birthday wise for us!
Anyway I better go and pack! Not that I feel like it. Its going to be 30 today and is 24 inside now. It feel hotter for some reason. Might go have a shower to cool down a bit me thinks!

Can't chat long, working. Hope you are all well. I too can hardly believe it's been 3 years since the end of our pgs!
My bday next week and after that we'll be focusing on getting things ready for Lucy's. We're getting her a trampoline.
Good to hear from you, Kaz and Kas. I hope the lumps are nothing, as it sounds like they are, Kaz , and there's good news on the baby front soon. :hug:
hey girls, sorry i have been mia. so busy witht he move and the heat and the fires and just life in general. i think since we moved life has been a blur, as we have been glued to the tv regarding the fires and kind of living with everyones devastation. my heart is breaking for these people. we lost our house in ash wednesday, but these people are losing family and friends which is irreplacable. my heart goes out to them. we went out for dinner saturday night and i was so scared as we drove out of our street and seen this massive fire up the hill. it was so close, but luckily for us it was heading in the other direction. at dinner all we heard and see weere fire trucks going up to that fire and in the other direction. it was so scary. to see the pictures of the fires up kingslake are and how fierce it was blows me away.
other than that, life has been busy. getting the kids settled into a new house has been ok. i guess the main thing is to get things as normal as possible for them as soon as possible. mia has coped well. tay is a bit funny and clingy. but she is still little and its harder for her to understand. mia cries when we had to go back to our unit that she wants her new house, so that is a good sign!
no news on the baby front, i am yet to have a cycle and i think its 45 days or something now since the miscarriage. they said i might not go back to normal for 6 months, so i am thinking whilst i am like this i wont conceive? i dont know how it all works. we are still trying though. i was thinking if i did fall i have no idea of dates, as i have no last period to go by?!
anyway kas hope school starting back has been good for you (free from nagging kids) i am sure it has!
jen - happy birthday for the other day! i hope that you got very spoilt and taken care of!

Glad to hear the move went well. Guess you'll be busy unpacking now for a little while. We are moving later in the year, so any tips on how you got Mia to adjust would be welcome!
As far as TTC goes, it is possible to conceive before you get your period, but you would need a dating scan to get an EDD. My cousin had a m/c before conceiving her DD1 and had no period in between. It only took her cycle just over a month to get back on track obviously, since she conceived not long after that. Every woman is different, so I hope it goes well for you.
We are well. DP and I both had a nasty throat bug that laid us low for over a week, but thankfully all better. Lucy was off-colour for 1 day, but no more than that. I think bfing a toddler still has its benefits - she is never sick for more than a day! She is starting to miss the odd morning bf, I'm thinking this might be a sign she is getting closer to dropping that bf altogether and weaning. I would like her to do this before the end of the year, although I'm leaving it up to her.
My bday is tomorrow - thanks for the early wishes Kaz! We're going out for dinner and a movie, I'm very excited!
I guess we're all thinking about our little ones' bdays then in a few weeks. Can't believe they're all turning 3... We're having a fancy dress party, no theme. My Mum is coming down to stay for the weekend of the party and Lucy is already excited about that.
None of my relatives have been affected by the fires in Vic, some do live just a little way north but so far, all okay. My heart goes out to some of the lovely girls on BB who haven't been so lucky, although thankfully they haven't lost any loved ones. I have tried talking to Lucy about it, but mostly it goes over her head atm. She does have some idea of death, but since it doesn't directly affect her it carries no emotion. We are talking about what you do if there is a fire though, and at preschool they had the fire truck visit last year to teach the kids the same thing. I hope they do it again soon.
OMG I feel sick. For years (yes coming up to 3 years now LOL) I've been meaning to go through the archives and pull out my posts to create some kind of journal for my pg with Tallon, and it's all gone. None of it's there.. and even our baby buddies has been culled.. the first few months are gone.
God, I feel like I've lost all my photos or something.
Please please tell me someone kept it!
Liz, I remembered to print out all of the belly buddies threads for my pg journal. I could fax you those (didn't keep them electronically, sorry).
I must go through and print out the baby buddies. I kept a diary for the first 8-9 mths so I'm hoping stuff from after that is still here!
Oh Jen you're my hero! I'll have to hook up the phoneline to the printer/fax and i'll send you my number :) Is it massive?

All is ok here, just thinking about what to do today. Thinking of going shopping. Havent done that in a long while.
Stil waiting for my AF to come back. Its over 7 weeks now and the doctor is testing me again for polycistic ovaries. I really feel pregnant again, all the symptoms, but a blood test said NO. Maybe its just 2 early. My doctor is talking medication etc, which I dont want to take unless I am 100% convinced that I am not pregnant. So the saga continues!
Tay has started walking, so cute. She is walking a lot and when she gets wobbly and falls she claps herself. We are all getting a big kick out of it, especially Mia. She thinks its great.
Mia is very excited about her birthday, and thinks she is going to be 2 again! She has told us she wants a DOra and Boots party. I didnt even know who Boots was, but Daddy did and informed me its Dora's monkey sidekick. I am not sure what we are doing for her party, maybe macca's for her little friends and a bbq for family and close friends at night. Still deciding! Has anyone else made plans?
Anyway I had better go and make some plans for today. Chat to you all soon!

Oh we're still around Kaz, but just getting sidetracked!
Lucy is almost able to wear undies at night time now and did so over our holiday last week, but it's all gone out the window now we're back home (go figure :rolleyes:). So we're back to pull-ups for a few days at least to see how she goes. I wonder if it may have been that we were staying somewhere warm and now we're back in the cold (and she was at kindy, so drinking more water while playing outside) that's just overloaded her bladder? Or perhaps it's just the disruption.

We had a lovely week away with friends at Easter (just DD and I, DP had to work). DD played with their kids the whole time and I barely saw her!). Made me want to expand my family. ;) Stay tuned in about six months...
Yeah im still here too, i don't get on here much.
We too holidayed at Easter. We went camping and it didn't even rain until we were packing up. Which was kind of ok but it was our first trip with the new camper trailer so it got a little wet but nothing too bad, we air dried it til the following night at it was good. Kids had a ball as usual. It is just near Tea Gardens / Hawknest about and hour and half north of newcastle, no facilities (well pit toilets and porta loos, but hubby invested in a camping toilet so that was good, he emptied it so im not complaing), a little beach on the river bank and endless space for the kids to ride bikes and run around. The easter bunny managed to find us, so that was a relief!
We also headed to sydney last friday and saturday with a family from school and went to the power house museum to see the star wars expo and then to the camping show on the saturday. It was great, although about 1/2 hour after we left i asked DH if he had packed the pram....Um no....so Liam got carried prob a 1/4 of the day at the museum and about 3/4 at the camping expo.....lets just say i am glad i had a massage booked in yesterday!!!
We then went to the movies on monday to see monsters v aliens and an indoor play centre yesterday. Today has been a cleaning and making cookies and cake day.
Other than that things are ok here. I went into hospital in mid march to have a D&C as i had a polyp and have been having horendous periods so while she was there i also had a Mirena fitted. I go back for a follow up on the 4th may. When i spoke to the receptionist a few days after she said the polyp was benign and Dr would discuss everything else at my check up so i guess i will wait to see what that is.
When DH was picking me up the day i was in hospital he had just been told by his mum she had breast cancer, she has since had one removed and got home a few days ago.
And just as DH's mum was going into hospital i found out my dad has an inoperable tumour in his lung behind his heart, they have said with treatment he has between 3-12 months:jawdrop::crying: needless to say ...not happy! He started Radiotherapy last friday and will have it every week day until the 4th may (the day i go back to Drs and my parents wedding anniversary) from there they will proceed with chemo to get what is in the blood stream. Hopefully the radio will help to shrink the tumour so it is a little easier to breath as it is constrickting the hair flow to his lung. So :crossfingers: and :pray: happening here.
Ok i best go sort out dinner.

Oh Kas, :hug: about your MIL and your Dad. Sounds like you guys have a lot to deal with atm. I'm glad your issue was sorted and there's nothing to worry about there.
We're thinking of buying a block of land nearby where you camped! Still only land suitable for a caravan or for camping, but we thought the area was so nice it's worth taking it and risking not ever being able to build a holiday house there. (not very expensive with the current zoning).
Will BBL when I'm not supposed to be getting ready for work.
Is anyone else's child insisting that it's okay to wear summer dresses or shorts in this very much winter weather??!
Kas - so sorry to hear about your MIL and Dad. What a crappy time you are having of it at the moment. My thoughts and best wishes are with you all x
Jen - no Mia is pretty happy to let me dress her still, probably because the girls are dressed alike ... so that make it ok.
Mia's toilet training is going well ... never thought we would get there. She take herself off to the potty if I am not around and comes to me for the big girls toilet if I am. She is still in night nappies, which I dont think will change whilst she is still having a bottle to go to bed!
She has also having heaps of issues going to bed, as she is telling us and getting really upset that she is scared. We have been spraying the scary things, and that worked initially but not anymore. Has anyone gone through similar?
We also went away at easter to Mt Gambier which is where I am from. We housesit for my sister. Was a nice break. We are talking about another short break soon, but not sure where to go. My dh has started a new job, so no big holidays for us at the moment.
We are still trying for our 3rd baby. I didnt get an af until March from the m/c. My gynie was going to put me on clomid but wants to see if I get another one this month, due any day. She said to ttc for 4 months and if nothing happens, then she will reassess.

It has been ages since i checked in.
Where to start......
I hope you are all well and staying dry from this horrid weather.
We have just come back from a week in Perth for DH's bro's wedding. Brad was a page boy and looked very handsome and we dressed liam up as well - i have put a couple of photos on my facebook page. We did the touristy things so Brad had something to report in the journal he had to do for school.
Liam is/has been day toilet trained for about a month or 2 now, occasionally we get through the night dry and day sleeps are good too. He is very much the "why?" boy atm. Everything i ask him to do or tell him we will be doing i get the "WHY?" reply......kinda driving me nuts. But i am pretty sure Brad was the same for a while at this age.
DH's mum is going ok after her mastectomy and starts chemo next week. My dad on the other hand is not so lucky. After clearing out his windpipe of a small tumour just under 2 weeks ago and going home he has again been in hospital for a week now. Originally thought to be comlications from a combination of drugs but a full CT revealed a few days ago that the cancer is very agressive and has appeared in full force through his bowel and abdomem. The Dr was completely gobsmaked at the rate it has appeared and multiplied in a matter of a week to 10 days. They are unable at this point to get his pain managable....things are not looking good, so please keep him in your prayers.
Kaz good to hear from you and I seen your pictures of the wedding, you all looked great.
Out toilet training is going really well as well, but Mia still wears her night nappy. She still has a bottle to go to bed with, I know its bad and the health nurse told me 2. I am going to go cold turkey with the bottles for both girls soon, I just wanted to get over their illnesses.
Kaz I am really sorry to hear about your Dad. I definately will :pray: things look up for you and your family soon.

Hi girls,
It is with much sadness that i say my Dad passed away on Friday 12 June. We had his funeral yesterday (mon 15.6.09) and followed out his wishes as he had planned. Although we wish he were still here with us we are greatful for the time we had with him but are also relieved he is no longer in pain and understand he had to go. I would like to thankyou all for your support and prayers over the last few months. xoxoxo
