Oh Kas, I'm so sorry to hear of the death of your Dad. What a sad time it is for your family, as you wish him goodbye. :hug:

I hope all of the memories you have of him give you some comfort in the times ahead.

Kas my thoughts go out to you and your family. It is good to think of the special times that you got to spend with your dad, and I am sure that these memories will help you in dealing with your grief.

Just a little bit of news with us, we are finally pregnant! 6 months and finally we have a bun in the oven. We are having a dating scan on Saturday, as we are not sure of the dates. Will keep you posted.

PS Please do not mention anything on facebook as we haven't told many people!

Thanks, cannot believe it! I have to say that I am finding having a 3rd daunting now that I am pregnant! Before that I was super excited. I think reality has kicked in. But we will be fine ... how much harder can one more be? :lol:

Its been ages since I have come in and said hi to you all...How is everybody going?? Aren't the babies growing up so fast! They will be 4 in 6 months or so :( but I am sure they are all happy and healthy :D

Things are going great here with us!
DS1 (ASD) is going really well in Prep. His teacher says that he is the least of her worries which is really great to hear. Of course he has his moments where he is in trouble but what child doesn't? His speech has really improved, although he does have the ASD 'accent' but we love it.
DS2 (ASD) is 4 and a half now but still non-verbal. He has improved in his eye contact but it is sporadic (SP?). No toilet training yet but he has done one pee while sitting on there and he was so shocked to see what was happening! It was funny and made my heart soar to think that maybe he will one day be TT but he is a happy little boy. He has a lot of classic ASD traits but we are so used to them now and we love some of them. Some others like him wakingup and jumping on our heads are taking a little longer to get used to:p
DS3 Cailan! wow is he growing up so fast! I remember when we were all pregnant posting and chatting about our births and its nearly 4 years gone by! Cailan is a different kettle of fish again. He has been labelled Global Developmental Delay but the paed has told us it is only because of his having the ASD siblings and no one else to copy from. The boys have all gone/going through an early intervention program and we are very blessed to have one in our town. I can not recommend them enough to parents of children who are having a few problems. So far no ASD in Cailan although the paed said he will need to be watched carefully because he may develop learned autism but hopefully the early intervention will stop that.

I am a lot more positive this year! I am the librarian for the ASD support group and also run the coffee mornings for parents to have a casual meeting. We mainly speak on ASD issues but its really good just to chat with other mums who understand. I have been helping a few other mums whose little ones have just been diagnosed and I really love it. It helps me so much to help them. Its really rewarding and I am surprised at myself. It is doing wonders for my self confidence and self esteem and I never thought helping others could do that. Still on with my anti-depressants but I will have a reveiw in 6 months so I may be off them in another 9 months or so. Hubby has changed jobs and now managing the local Civic Video. He has been so blessed in his work, it is exciting. Enough about me though! Fill me in on all your news girls!

Hi Steph - great to hear from you and thanks for letting us know how all the boys are doing. It is scary how fast the time has gone by. You must have your hands full with three boys all at the very boisterous stage (LOL at the jumping on your heads).

We are busy, work has been three full-on days a week for me and the rest of the time I barely sit in front of the computer if I can help it.

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law welcomed their little baby girl last week and I'm pleased to say it really has helped to heal things between he and my DP. MIL has already had one meltdown over not being able to see/hold the new baby enough (so some things never change, I was having flashbacks of DD's first few weeks), but we are not stupid enough to get involved. We've only visited once, new Mum not coping so well with the sudden change to her life. Baby is called Coco Vienna (just for something different) and is doing well. Lucy was very pleased to meet her new cousin, but she loves all babies, so no surprises there.

Must be off, bedtime here. Happy Fathers' Day to all of our partners for tomorrow!

Kas - I haven't seen you on facebook much, but I have not been there as much as normal either. Life has been busy lately, I think we all find that with our growing families!

Steph - Glad to see you pop your head back in. Our thread is pretty quiet, so it is nice to know you are still around. You sound like you have a busy life with your boys and your extra interests and activities! Please don't be a stranger x

Jen - Congrats on becoming an auntie. We are also in the process of mending bridges with my inlaws ... things are going well so far. It takes a lot of time, patience and keeping your mouth shut though let me tell you!

All good here. We are almost 18 weeks pregnant, which people keep telling me is going fast. I don't see it, but with the two girls I also don't think about it much.

Both girls have been sick, Mia has a throat infection, Tay and ear infection and just to top it off I have an ear infection and sinus infection. We all, including my DH have the flu as well. So we are recovering at the moment, antibiotics are kicking in with the girls finally. Been a challenge to get them to take them, finally found mixing them with oj helps!

Anyway must be off. I am catching up on washing today. Some nice person broke my washing machine door off at our party, so we had to get another one yesterday. Luckily my inlaws had a brand new one that they have given/lent us. They won't say either way, which is fine, we are just happy to have some clean clothes again LOL.
