Morning Mumma's,
Hope you managed to get some sleep last night. We had a pretty good night- actually the best we've had since we bought our little poppet home from hospital.
Last feed was at 11pm last night and then only got up to her once for a dummy fix. Didn't hear peep from here again until I woke her at 7am for a feed. Is that normal for 2wo babies to not need a feed durng the night yet?? Should I be waking her for one?? Bear in mind that she fed for most of the evening last night from 7:30-11pm so she would have had to of been full.
Just seems to be a bit too easy this tiem round. When DS was this age, he was always hungry and still doesn't sleep that well at night. Was up to him twice last night and little Macey only once.
I'm sure there is still time for the bubble to burst but fingers crossed, I may have got a good sleeper this time round.
We welcome your thoughts of the night feeding issue. FYI- Macey has already passed her birth weight so doesn't seem to be any signs of not getting enough milk if that makes any difference.

Question for the mods please...
I am having trouble accessng one of your links (Bottlefeeding FAQ's and Useful Information) from your post at the top of tis tread. It says that I don;t have the right permissions to access it. Can you tell me why this is pls.

hi girls...
sorry no time for personals ( i can imagine you all understand) Liam is doing great, he had his first weigh in with the nurse on wenesday, he has passed his birthweight
birthweight 3750g
out of hospital 3520g
12 days old 4000g
the nurse was totally shocked at how much weight he put on, but he is like permantly attaced atm to me so it didnt surprise me, we dont have much of a routine yet, im just going with the flow, we have had a couple of shopping expedtions and he isan absoulute angel to take out, compared to my 20month old at this age she would just scream and i would be wheeling a pram with her in my arms. anyway not much else to say, but this boy sure is a $hitting machine....wont stop..better post some pics soon
take care and rest up xxx

Jodi & Beckstar - Those nightfeeds are great !!! Can you share?? Beckstar - I wouldn't be considering waking Macey, especially if you're having such a concentrated feed before she goes to sleep. I'd just thank the sleep gods and enjoy your rest. I'm sorry to disappoint you but I'm definitely not the one to go to for tips on handling two bubbies close together - if you could see me trying to feed one a boob and one a bottle at the same time you'd be hysterical.
Blanche - its tough when you have to divide your time between your newborn and your toddler isn't it. I hope you get some sleep soon.
Chrissy - your post would be word for word what I would say about my two, except for the weight gain for Elena.
Elena has had only a couple of occasions where wind has been an issue and thankfully gripe water seems to work almost instantly for her. Such a relief because Izzy had reflux and screamed all day every day for months. I'm going to weigh Ellie today to see if she has put on any way - she had lost 200grams off her birthday when she was weighed last week at a week old so hopefully she's picked that up now that my milk is in and she's feeding more consistently.
-
Chrissy- thats a great weight gain, lol my boy is a pooping machine too.... comes out that end as quickly as it goes in!!!
Jack was 3525g born
leaving hospital 3335g and then he got weighed last friday
and was 3630g and CHN was very pleased!
Lulu -it is difficult at times with 2, DD is getting better now shes becoming a good little helper in the day but she still has her moments and im ready to pull my hair out!!
-
Some great weights there girls!!
Emily is having her first check up on Monday, but she was 3635g at birth, 3500g on day 2. She's feeding every 3 hours on both sides, and is now in 000 clothing, so I reckon she'll be up there close to 4kg by Monday.
Last night was pretty good, she completely drains me during her 8pm feed, which is great. Then feeds another 2 times during the night. She's becoming very efficient with her feeding too, it'll take about 10-15 min to drain one side. When she was born it was taking her 40 min.
beck - don't wake her! That's fantastic she's going so long between feeds. She's obviously getting enough during the day. Providing she has plenty of wet nappies, gaining weight etc, all would be ok.
-
I just have to laugh at these weights (no offence of course girls). Little miss Juliette was 4485gm at birth, so up to a kilo bigger than most of the bubs that are here already LOL!!! She's big beautiful girl!
-
sarah she certainly is one healthy big girl
-
She sure is a nice big size sarah!!
We had a great night last night. Emily only woke at 12.30, then 4.30, then I had to wake her at 9am as I was about to explode. She's happily sleeping again, but I think I'm going to have to wake her again.
She was awake for about 2.5 hours this morning, which is the longest she's been awake yet!
-
I haven't managed to get to the clinic to weigh Elena this week yet but I'd be amazed if she's anything like 4kgs - she's such a long, scrawny little thing (and I say that with a mother's love!!). Sarah - you definitely have a gorgeous big girl there. I hope you had pain relief!!
Jodi - I am so jealous of the night you had. Elena fed at 10.30pm, then again at 1pm, then at 3.30, 5am, 6.15, 7.30 and 9.30am. Thankfully she has been asleep now for 3 hours so my poor boobs are having a break. Oh, and I can actually pick Izzy up too. Just as well seeing as I type this I'm watching her tip her ball pit upside down and crawl under it!! Better go rescue her - and the house!
-
she is beautiful Sarah!
wow that is a great night Jodi, hope Emily keeps that up for u!!
Jack rolled this morning from his tummy to back! the first time he did it i thought it was just a fluke, but nope everytime i would put him back on his tummy and he would roll straight back over!! caught it on video and im trying to add it to my blog but it doesnt seem to be working but its on my facebook

Hi
I had ds#3 on 3rd May!
Still trying to adjust to having 3 kids under 5!! Life is certainly interesting I will say that much lol
Talon is still a chubby bubby so I know my milk is doing what it is meant to!
-
WTG Jack!! I wanna see that video!
Hi Mummamel and congratulations! 3 under 5, you're certainly going to be busy, but I'm sure you'll enjoy every moment of it.
Emily hasn't really got to the stage of 'waking up' properly, and is still feeding and sleeping mainly, so in the next few weeks it'll be interesting what she does at night.

He is so strong, for just over 2 weeks!
