woooo hooo :leap: go liam... hopefully soon you'll be able to get some good sleep.
mis_tree- i think they look so cute... not too much, just nice little gold studs. i wont go over board with the BIG ones or big hoops... Might get some little sleepers or something just cos i have noticed the studs dig in at the back with mine. I've been religiously spraying the special antiseptic spray like they told me 3 times a day and turning the earings atthe same time. There is no way i'd let them get infected... She went through too much pain already but thanks for caring.
Sorry to hear you've had issues with let down... I never feel my let down anymore since my mastitis bout. But DD is getting bigger so i know there is milk just done getthe sensation anymore... :(
Girl22- My DD is right into giving Dad kisses and smiling at him, she tickles his chin and rubs his face ... DP is really enjoying it.
Well best be off, time for Wii Fit...
PS.. Heres a pic of Tiahna with ears pierced

gee, I missed heaps yesterday! Didn't get near my computer for anything other than work, and it's doing my head in! Ah well...
I went and had my needles yesterday - have to get vaccinated for all kinds of yuck stuff to go to Africa. The thing is, babies under 9 months cant have most of them, so we're taking a risk by going there when he'll only be almost 7 months. Travel doctor is going to do some more research for me because there may be a possibility they can fast-track the yellow fever vaccination and do it just before we leave. Also, I'm taking a risk by having the YF vac as there is no data available for how it is passed thru breastmilk... but it can be given to pregnant women apparently, so here's hoping it's ok. I'll be watching DS like a hawk for the next month, to make sure there's no ill effects. So far he's ok, and was blowing raspberries for a full 15 mnutes this morning. Don't know if that's a good thing
Deancey - you and all the mums here getting full nights' sleep, I HATE YOU!! No, I'm kidding! But well done! Everywhere I go someone seems to delight in telling me how their kids slept thru from day dot, and that's all well and good, but I find I'm having to bite my tongue to prevent myself from snapping at them, and keep telling myself, "yes, but their kids are probably nowhere near as cute as mine...". I know it's not true, but I'll take comfort in that for now, until I get a full night. It will happen, inshallah!!
mis_tree - yay for BBH! they're ace. Good luck for the court thing... you know stress will cause problems with let-down, so take it easy on yourself. I had the opposite problem to Jess, I never felt the let down until after I got mastitis. Weird.
Sassy - hope your DH's back heals... poor guy. Yes, the man-cold thing is universal, and they do love to put it on, but I hope that he's back to full health soon, and he can help you out with Jayda. Don't want him to miss out on the cuddles for a month! Best of luck for the job application, too!!
Right, I have to run again. DS is doing a funny "take-me-outta-here" dance, and it's irresistible!

Morning girls
I am also just in here quicly as i have so much to do today and have been just called into help mum at work for awhile and meeting some girls from bb for lunch. Still have a bit of housework to do and some shopping before everyone arrives tonight. I am excited but a bit anxious about leaving Hamish for the night, as you Mis tree i leave him when i go to work but never to go out. But unlike you i am going to have a few drinks, i have managed to express 5 bottles, will feed him around 6 and he will have one tonight so hopefully it will be out of my system tomorrow afternoon, i have bought the milk screen tests so i wont feed him until i have tested it. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Have a good night Mistree and try enjoy yourself and dont stress about anything..
-
Miss_t- shame the stuffed up your photo book but YAY on getting a refund and getting to keep it... YAY on the distracting working to help express... also hope you had a good time last night and seth was well behaved for your dad... YAY on the sleep also... And well done for mowing the lawns... Our mower ***** itself few days ago and DP went straight out to buy a new one... Now its a new novelty so i dont get a chance to use it as he's mowing the lawns every fdew days... (wonder how long it'll last. )
Yesterday i brought a JJ play matt for little miss to enjoy... (was going to keep it for chrissy but figure whe probably wont be in the JJ by then. Cant believe she's growing so fast... gosh time has just flown past. Brought another few outfits today... tempation got to me... I'm so bad with buying stuff... All the summer dresses have come out. i brought her a little skirt and top and a pretty little dress and also a new hat... Her head is still a little small but its getting so hot that she needs one regardless.
-
Wow Jess. You pierced your little Tiahna's ears? Does she play with them? Or try to pull? I remember when Yasmeenia was 4-6 weeks I was thinking about piercing her ears. Hubby and I have never discussed it. Although now am interested to see what he thinks of the idea. However, I am going to wait til she is maybe 1-2 years old before I consider it again. Maybe even 5 years old.
-
Girl22- Yeah i had them done on tuesday... she hasnt touched them at all which is part of the reason why i got them done this early... i was thinking 6-12 months but after i posted a thread about it most people were saying either do it early or wait till there older (like old enough to know not to touch them) DP and i had discussed it and were really concerned with infection. So far with her not even touching i think we'll avoid infection from her dribble fingers. She handled the pain rather well and this way she wont remember either. They look so sweet. I brought her some tiny gold sleepers which i'll change after the 6 weeks as i'm finding mine dig in to the back so if mine are then i guess hers would be too... No BIG look at me earrings as i think she's too little for that but just some nice simple studs at the moment them the thin gold sleepers are just enough.
Dressed her up today to take DS to preschool and everyone noticed how sweet she looked with them... Its a personal choice buut i feel like i did the right thing (for us...)
Abb- hope you have fun tonight
NaNa- hope all goes well with the vaccinations
Went to the sydney meet up yesterday but couldnt remember who i was looking for so just had fun with DS at the park on our own...found out later the people i thought were from bb were infact the people i was looking for. I did ask one women who gave me a rude answer and piercing stare when i mentioned meeting mothers from the internet. So i was kinds shy to ask others... Oh well next time i'll just ask everyone... hehe....
Best be off... DD is sleeping and i need to quickly tidy up before i pick up the noise from day care... hope everyone is well

well hopefully this will post this time. the last 3 times i have tried to post it wont post goes to the stupid server down page or wat ever it is.
went to baby clinic yesterday.jayda is 68cms and 7.5kgs. said to get her down to 5 bottles a day but bigger ones. they told me to put her on to every 4 hrs. but if i do that she will only have 4 bottles. because she has just dropped her nightone. Which means SLEEPING THROUGH yay. we have worked out that if we give her, her last bottle at around 7 she sleep right through till 630. b4 we would give her one at 830 right b4 bed and she woudl wake at 230 for a bottle.
I got a wii and wii fit yesterday
also i am on the last part of my diet. 15days to go  lost 17kgs in 7 weeks so i am happy.
sorry i am not doing personals but i have dont them so many times and then the comp stuffs up or net so ill get back to them next week.
hope everyone is doing well.
i would so hate to be a single parent. since Dh has done his back i have been doing everything and i am so buggered. DD is gettin very cranky with ehr daddy cause she hasnt had any cuddles for a few days.
-
Miss_t- thanks... i think she's just gorgeous. (but i'm bias)
Sass- :leap: Thats fantastic.... so happy for you... (and a bit jealous) the Wii and Wii fit are FAB... Quite a good workout... The hoola hoops are great for the sides, tummy and thighs. Maybe i should look into the cohens diet... but i'm bad with diets (i dont eat much mine i think is lack of excercise... but i'm working on that....
Think i spoke too soon about the constipation... Little miss was struggling to poop... It was like clay... (sorry TMI) had to buy some coloxyl drops for her and it still hasnt helped much... Not sureif i can give her juice yet but someone told me pair juice helps... have tried water but she wont drink it... Any ideas?????
Think its still from the farex last week... it hasnt come out orange like the pumpkin so i'm presuming it is yet to come out... have stopped all solid for now and will wait few more days for things to pass through and re asses the situation from then.
Hope everyone has a good weekend... I'm hoping to catch up on some much needed sleep as little miss has woken up several times last 2 nights for feeds... (not helping the constipation with extra feeds.

I had a great night, the weather was perfect, we sat in the backyard for a few hours before heading in town. I only had a few drinks as i was a little worried about today, we had a fairly early night, home and in bed by 1.30am so that was good. Hamish was an absolut angel for mum, he had ebm at 8 and slept until 6am , woke up smiling and had ebm then slept again until 9am, i picked him up shortly after as i couldn't wait to see him. He has been such a good boy today also, as dp and i are a little tired and he has had a 2 1/2 hour sleep this afternoon which is fab.
Mis tree - on the trying to pick you up, must have felt good after everything with exp, glad you had a good night and  on seths sleep i hope it continues for you.
Sass - you have done so well on your diet that is fantastic:clap:, i need to do something drastically but keep putting it off.
Jess - hamish has been a bit constipated also from the farex, he went 3 days without a bowel movement but finally went today, three days is a long time for him, his also like clag (tmi) but some lumps now too

Hoo boy! I am sooooo tired. DS has not been sleeping well at all. I don't know what's up but the last few nights he's been fighting sleep, when normally he's asleep at 8-8.30. Then when he's finally down between 9 or 10, I get to bed at 10.30 and he's awake at 11 for a feed!! Then again at 1 for another feed, then awake again at 3 squealing, blowing raspberries and wanting to play and refuses to settle for 2 hours, then finally sleeps again for just an hour or 2. The travel doctor told me to watch for any signs of excessive sleepiness in case of an adverse reaction to the vaccinations I had, but this is completely the opposite!! All day today he's been wriggling and playing and bouncing around, laughing and squealing, and he's had a total of 2 20-minute naps. I thought starting him on solids would help... oh well. Maybe next year/decade/lifetime.
Jess - have you thought about trying pureed stewed pears? They're not really in season now, but maybe if you can get one, try it with some ebm. S'posed to be good for softening things, at least for big people. I wouldn't give it too often tho, as it's quite sweet.
Sass - Woot! WTG! Bet you're feeling great. Great that Jayda's doing so well too. Where did our little bubbas go?? I bought some clothes for DS the other day, and had to go for size 0, and the tag says to fit from 12 months! No way! IKWYM about being exhausted from doing it all on your own... it's a bit like that around here. I'm not a single parent, but I do everything for DS as well as all the blokey stuff around the house as well. DP just isn't that um, how do I put it? Blokey? He does help out a lot, but I nearly died the other day when I asked him to get me the spanner from MY toolbox and he didn't know what it was!!
Abb & mis_tree - so great you had good nights out! Good sleeps too, god I'm jealous... :)
OK, I should really go to bed now. I think I'm beyond tired tho, and can't sleep. Argh! Seriously considering starting drinking brandy!! No, not really.
Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Mis-Tree,
I know exactly what you are talking about. I weighed 50kg before I fell pregnant. I gained 17kgs throughout my pregnancy. I weighed a 6 weeks after giving birth and was 55kg. Yasmeenia is 4 months now and I have only gained 3kgs, so now am 58kg. My ideal weight is 65kg. I am 165cm tall. I wouldn't mind 70kg, but I simply can't do it. The most I have weighed is 60kg when I was 14, Lol. Anyways enough about weight.
Yesterday, Hubby and I purchased a baby cot. I have decided its time for Yasmeenia to learn how to sleep on her own. Because she was born during winter, I initially felt guilty of putting her in a cot, so I kept her close to me. It was perfect and easy for breastfeeding. At the moment, I am trying to teach her to settle herself, as it is crucial moment. Otherwise when exam time approaches, I would be wasting my study time trying to settle her. She is so adorable; I prefer sometimes playing with her rather than studying. Last night was disastrous. She cried, cried and cried. She refuses to sleep alone by herself without me. Hubby encouraged me to leave her for a few minutes. Stubborn as I am, refused. I kept going into the room; again and again. Whenever I leave the crying becomes louder. So I gave up and allowed her to play on her mat, while I tried to do my assignment. I allowed her to play until she got tired and wanted to feed and sleep. I am so proud of her. She went to bed at 9:30pm. Woke up at 12am. Woke up again at 3:30am and than at 6:30am. Because I went to bed at 12am, she only woke me up once during the night. From 6:30am, slept until 10am. She had two naps, and tonight when to bed at 7:30pm. It's now 10:21pm, she is still asleep, will be until midnight.

Well yesterday was a bad... DD was crying and arching her back and just was plain un-cooperative. Fought the boob, burping and sleep. I put her in the shpwer with me and she nearly fell asleep then i got her dressed then feed her in our room where is was dark and quiet... She finnished and as soon as i stood up and was searching for the boob again... I put her in the basinette and walked out and she continued to SCREAM for 30 mins... fought her tiredness until i couldnt take it and i gave in and picked her up... DP said to wrap her ind put her in the cot without more boob so i did and within 10 mins of crying she was asleep (maybe it was the mobile and music???) Best part was she slept stil 7.15 this morning... :leap: woo hoo... She layed in there and played til 7.45 so gave me a chance to unpack the dishwasher and put on the washing. Fed at 8am.
We went for a walk to the shop and little miss fell asleep in the parm and had a 30 min sleep once we got home (in the stroller) She's still only had the 1 feed this morning and is happily playing on the floor. Will feed her at 10.3o-11 cos i'd like to start stretching out her feeds to 2 1/2-3 hourly hopefully... fingers crossed she sleeps well tonight in her cot also...
Mis- YAY on being hit on and glad "stanky" was good... Love the new ticker and pic too...
Abb- glad your night out went well and glad hamish was behaved and had a good sleep... Yeah not sure whats going on with the farex... i have stopped the solids for now as little miss still hasnt done a normal poop... (she's been long betwwen bowel movements since birth (1-2 weeks)
NaNa- will puree'd pears be ok??? like the jars>?? i havent given her the pureed fruit yet only farex and veges's/.....
Be back later for more personals... bathurst is going to start soon and DD is now crying for a feed so DP wants me to "fix her up"
-
well another night in the cot for DD. She slept well... in bed by 7.30 woke up at 4 for a feed and i put her back in the cot and she woke again at 7.15 but i let her play till 7.30...
Glad she's sleeping in the cot... I was worried at first but she has so much more room in there and it mush be so much more comfy....
Mis- Must be great living at bathurst. I LOVE the V8's... gives me tingles when i hear the roar of those engines.. ;) but maybe its not so good when u live there????? DD does like little crunches to try and sit up... She's learnt that she can grab things and help pull herself up... like the side of the cot and the activity matt bars... (cant get up too far but i dont think it'll be long...

tryin to remember everythign i have read so sorry if i forget anyone i am like a zombie this morning.
jess: when i gave jayda pears (tin food) it gave her really bad pains in the tummy. well all food i have given her has made her really unsettled that was the main reason for me stopping. i think when i do start her again i will cook and puree it myself. Did u go through the really unsettled part when u first started or not.
i think i jinxed myself with the sleeping through. she will sleep through if her last bottle is b4 730. but the last few days she is having extra bottles very hungry and unsettled so i think a growth spirt maybe. but she has wanted a bottle at 830 after having a full one at 7. so that has stopped her sleep through. she is fighting her sleeps so bad i am tryin to put her down when she first shows signs but that def wont happen and if i leave it till she is well and truely tired she screams when i try to get her asleep.
ever since i applied for these new jobs now i hate my job lol. i just want out. i am sick of being cranky with jayda. i have 5 kids under 5yrs from 7am to 5pm then once i finish work i still have to deal with jayda while trying to cook and everything. DH is gone from 445am to 7pm and now that he cant lift her for a month everything is crazy here.
mis: jayda is tryin to pull up too. we can sit her up and if she is leabing heaps forward she can sit byherself but i dont want her to hurt her back.
girl: ur so lucky with ur weight. all i have to do it look at food and it puts on a kg lol.
-
Sass- the 1st few feeds went really well but its just the constipation after the 1st week... (the farex binds her up) She finally did NORMAL poop yesterday so i gave her few tiny spoons of veges so we'll see how she goes with that... I've reduced the amount and not doing it daily just yet... so when she seems to be interested in it i'll giver her some...
She's loving fingers of apple and carrots ATM... I slice them up so she can hold them and she sucks on them and bites down... I think her gums are sore as she stops sooking when the cold apple or carrot hit it.. once the coldness is gone she cries again... she cant chew threw it and i watch her carefully but she's loving being able to hold it herself...
i've been using the sippy bottle but she sucks it and spits out what ever i put in it (water or EBM) :wall: oh well, i put a small amount in it and she hold it herself so i gess if i keep doing it she'll start to learn and do it one day.
Hopefully you'll get one of those jobs you applied for... Its not nice doing something you hate... And i'm the same sass- looking at food and add on 2 kg's... DP eats and eats and cant keep weight on... just not fair hey... you've done so well to drop that much weight thou... so jealous... might have to look into it... Hows the WII fit going???
-
jess: the wii fit is going great. i never realised how uncoordinated i am lol. i am still doing better then DH but only cause his back is so sore lol. i am taking advantage and practicing while he is out of action.
i dont know when i should try jayda on solids again. i am takign her being so unsettled last time as her not being ready. ill leave it a few more weeks she will be 6 months then anyways.
