nana: i have a child that is very full on he comes 3 days a week 8hrs a day. it is hard at times but he is so much better for me then he is for his parents which is the case for most kids. there is also this thing where the carer can get a higher rate of pay from the gov for high needs children so they dont have as many kids in care at that time but they rnt loosing money because of it. does that make sense.
also remember if it doesnt work the first carer u go to dont give up sometimes it is a a case of how the carer handles things to how the children act. i had very full on twins and they went to 3 carers b4 me and no one could handle them. at the start their parents didnt think it would work with me cause i was young but it worked out that i was able to run around with them and do more stuff then the older ladies could.

Thank you for remembering me Jess. I have been busy with uni. We are just over half way through the semester. At the moment I am in my one week break so I am trying to catch up on my readings. Three more assignments to go and I can concentrate on preparing for my exams. Yasmeenia has been wonderful. She is so sweet and lovely. She doesn't seem to be interested in crawling at all. She constantly wants to stand up. Using me or furniture to stand. If she isn't standing, she isn't happy. So I guess, she will be giving that milestone a miss. Lol. Since Feburary, she has been to childcare twice. She is enrolled at daycare as casual. I use it when I am desperate. For example: Putting finishing touches on my work. I am thinking about cutting her hair, shaving it all off but DH is against it. She has too much hair. I really want DD to start walking soon. Or at least by 12 months. How are other bubs with their walking?

Are you still having troubles with your little ones sleeping? I find it easily for DD to go to bed (bedtime) after coming back from childcare because she is tried. Have you thought about trying that? It must be tough on you. You are a champ. Keep up the good work.

Sorry girls i got on here twice yesterday but both times was interrupted and didn't get a chance to post. School holidays..
I went to dr and good and bad news i guess, i dont have anything serious as such but have cyst on right ovarie again and endometriosis is back grrr. So now off to the specialist again and see how bad it is, i am not too concerned as i have been through all this before, only thing i am concerned about its trying to concieve again, but i guess it is possible as i had exact same thing 12 months before i fell pregnant with Hamish. He did say if i wanted anothe child not to put it off as i have a better chance of getting pregnant as close to last pregnancy as possible. Have not had a chance to discuss with Dp as he is away for work until tomorrow. It seems we may have to seriously think about trying now.

Oh Abb- so sorry to hear you hav a cyst... I have PCO so i know ur concerns bout TTC again... (but thought you werent having any more... is someone getting clucky??) Have spoken with DC and they say i can leave DD there for few hours to get her used to it... But i found out that my old work isnt doing so well and cant afford to have me back... so made my decision not to go back easier... lol.

Every knows its you. Lol. About studying - I was studying before I got pregnant, so I figured there was no point in dropping out. Besides if I were to drop out I wouldn't know what to do. For example, where I would want to work. I love studying human resource management. It's the best field of business, in my opinion. I plan to do my masters when I have my next baby :lol:.

omg i dont know how guys can be so think sometimes.
last ngiht we were at our friends pplace and i dropped so many hints for the boys to go away so we coud talk. i thought it woudl be easier to talk to her without going u should come out here so we can talk and it be a forced thing. so it got to like 5min b4 we left and i had to make a fight with DH to put the pram in the car lol. the boys finally walked out and i got to talkt o her a little bit. i gave her wat to expect when expecting book to look through and folate tabs i had left over. she messaged me today she got her blood test back and it is def that she is preg. she told her mum and her mum is happy.
she keeps saying she cant see herslef with a kid but she doesnt want to go through the whole abortion thing so she is really confused. she is about 9 to 10 weeks so she has to think over the weekend and go back to the doc next week and tell them wat she has decided. sorry that was so long lol

yesterday morning jayda had these little marks on her and i thought they were bites so i just sent her off to mums like normal. then when i went to pick her up she had huge welts everywhere (i really should of been rung about it) i took her to the hosp and they said it was a allergic reaction btu they reckon it was bites. but she got more when she was at mums and even when we were at the hosp, which to me doesnt seem right cause the same thign coudlnt be in 3 dif locations. i think it is from the cold and flu medicine i gave her i dunno hwo to spell it the natural one starting with b.
she didnt even scratch them she is such a good bubby they got so big and red and looked so bad.

I shaved DD hair today. It was a surprise for DH when he came home to discovery his daughter without any hair. Her hair was too long and curly. I was using hair tie to style her hair. She sometimes use to pull her hair. I gues she was curious. She could hardly recognise herself in the mirror afterwards. She loves the mirror and staring into her own reflection. She is so adorable. I am so in love with her. She makes me laugh and smile all day everyday. She melts my heart. She is able to walk and move around while in her walker. She has taken a few steps while I hold her. I am so excited about that. While I was folding clothes in the bedroom this afternoon, I put her in the cot. She tried standing up. I gave her a little lit and she was standing, chatting away for a long time. I am so in love!

It's my final year. I am very close. I am glad about that. It should consider going back to uni once you get everything sorted out.

The poor thing, your friend. Good thing your DD didn't notice anything and wasn't in pain because of those marks.

Girl- why would you shave her hair? i bet it was just gorgeous..
Sass - i think you just need to be there for your friend no matter what she decides, we all know it is not easy looking after a baby and if she isn't sure it will be tough for her.
Mis T - i am not really sure if we are having anyomore yet but i dont like the thought of being told i cant iykwim.
Jess - thanks for the support, i have not discussed with Dp yet as he is away for work, due home this afternoon. I am starting to think i do want another but not sure if that is only because of what is happening, dp definetley wants more, i am just not sure.

Hi Nana, Nikki, Tracy, Sarah,Bec hope all is well

I am so tired lately, and having alot of troble sleeping etc but i think its just the worry and stress of my health issues, i just cant seem to turn my brain off sometimes. grrr
Hamish is getting more confident with steps now but i wouldnt call it walking yet. He has also become a little fussy with certain foods, he use to love cheese and now wont have a bar of it, just spits it out. Does anyone give there babies, fish fingers? Hamish had one good friday and loved it but not sure they are a food to give regularly?

Abb - I hope you and DP can have a good talk when he gets home. Must be hard to have the weight of something like that to bear on your own. Obviously it's stressing you out, so hopefully talking about it all will ease your mind a bit. A friend of mine is in a similar situation with just having been told by her dr that if she wants to conceive to try now or never. I really hope things work out the way you want, and medical issues don't put a dampener on things. If only our bodies worked the way they're supposed to all the time... :)
Sass - men can be such idiots! I'm sure they have no concept of the seriousness of things, especially the most important stuff like having a baby! I hope your friend finds her way on to BB, and it's great that her mum's happy, but she definitely has a bit of thinking to do. Good on you for giving her books, and whatever advice you could in such short time!
I'm going to see the FDC carer tomorrow morning to see what she's like, though I didn't get a good impression from the initial phone calls. Her english isn't great, and my arabic is worse! We'll see how Aadi takes to her, and what my instinct is, and go from there. It's only 6 weeks now till we go overseas, so I can probably wait till we get back to find another place if this one's no good.
Re - the rash, was it Brauer's you gave her? That shouldn't have caused an allergic reaction. How scary! Hope Jayda's ok now. Bizarre.

Girl - wow! That's a pretty serious haircut! I bet Jess is thinking "send some to Tiahna!". Was Yasmeenia born with lots of hair? A friend sent me photos of their little boy the other day, he's just turned 1, and he has the most amazing curly hair. He's lebanese-algerian, and just gorgeous! I can't wait to meet him in June. Aadi just has a little mohawk still. They're so cute when they talk to themselves in the mirror!

Jess - sorry, you're still Je$$ to me! :rofl: WOTB?! I knew you'd get addicted. I hope I didn't lead you (and your credit card) astray with all my nonsense about going cloth! But isn't it just too much fun?

LMK - yes, I still feed Aadi to sleep for his day naps sometimes. I know it's bad, but it works. I know he can go to sleep without it, but NEVER in his cot. I don't mind feeding him to sleep as it's the only quiet, relaxed time in my day with Aadi. But really the main problem is that he doesn't sleep more than 2-3 hours at a time at night. He wakes and is up and crawling or standing at the cot rail screaming within seconds. So there's no opportunity to resettle, even if I watch the clock and stand by his bed when I know he's about to stir. He's incredible. He throws the most atrocious tantrums at the worst possible hour! He even woke every hour all thru the night after I gave him Pain Stop, which is a sedative that the pharmacist insisted I didn't need. She told me to try sleep school!! If I could get into sleep school before Aadi is in high school, I'd consider it. And if it didn't cost $3000! It's DP's turn to camp out in Aadi's room this weekend, and I'm going to the bungalow. It's all we can do until our paed is back from leave and gives us a referral to the unsettled baby clinic. I wish it was just that Aadi needed to be close to me, but he kicks and pushes me away. This too shall pass.... one day!

Saturday night and I am home alone. Not so great. I can't wait for this year to finish. I will be leaving DH home alone and see how he will like it! Am a little angry about being left alone. It's not much fun. Gosh, I miss my family.

I shouldn't have shaved it off completely. I thought shaving it off at the time was a good idea, Lol. Seeing the look on DH was unforgetable :rofl:. I shaved it off, firstly, because she sometimes pulls her hair while I am breastfeeding her or if she is angry, sleepy or because she is curious. She had beautiful curly hair. I should post a picture of her with her hair. Where do I do that, so you guys can see it. Lol@send some to Tiahana.

Nana -

Yasmeenia was born with alot of hair. It surprised DH. He hasn't seen a baby with so much hair. Again, I should show you guys. By the way, when are you going to learn Arabic? Not that I can speak it but DH understands a fair bit of it. You should learn a little to impress your DH's family ;).

Girl, I'll learn arabic when Aadi learns to sleep! I have all my books on arabic typography and design sitting in front of me gathering dust... and DP only speaks it as a third language and doesn't read it at all so he can't teach me that. He'd rather I got better at French first since that's his first language. Are you confused by that? I am! Anyway, even living in the middle east for a year didn't get me learning more than the basics so it's going to be tough trying to learn any more in the next 6 weeks! Yikes, only 6 weeks! I have to start packing now.

Abbie still only has 4 teeth two up the top and two down the bottom lol. She eats like a trooper so it does not effect her i just cant believe it, the boys had almost all of there teeth by now.

nana sorry to hear about aadi, i really hope that everything gets sorted out soon. Sometimes kids can have night terror's. Is it like that? Lachlan gets like that sometimes but not very often. Goodluck;-)

Jess, you will always be Jess to me too:-) Tiahna will get hair soon, and she will look so different you won't recognise her:-) Abbie has a fair bit of hair now and i look at photo's of her when she was little and she had none too, and i hardly recognise her:-)

Abb sorry to hear about your health issues and i hope that everything sorts it self out soon for you.

I have just started on duromine today , i am very excited to start using it but a bit nervous at the same time. I am taking it as i need to lost weight and with hashimoto's disease its really hard to lose weight and so this is going to give me the kick start that i need( hopefully). Anyone else tried it?

Abbie has just started screaming (like a real girl) especially when she wants something thats she is not getting. crawling heaps and loves someone hanging onto her hands so she can walk along.

One of our friends kids has the chicken pox!!!!!!!!!!! He has ben immunised as well so i hope that Abbie does not get it. Poor thing:-)

It is making me all clucky lol
i have gone off the pill but more so to stop the weight gain from it. told Dh he has to use condoms till atleast chrissy. but it will prob stop b4 then. oh and i got the comment so ill only need liek 2 hahahaha poor dh has been a bit neglected latly. im tryin to make it up to him. hopefully ill get off the AD'd soon and that will help.

omg it was so funny on the weekend we went to see trevs nana she was at his mums place for the week. she is goign down hill really fast and cant remember things too well. she was playing with jayda and they r about the same mentally at the mo and jayda had soooooo much fun.
the best thing out of all of it is she loves jayda and doesnt even remember SILs DD. i knwo that sounds mean but if u can rememeber all my complaining about how SILs DD gets favoured by Dh's faminly it is nice for DD to get more attention for once lol.
Oh and she never gives birthday presents and is very tight but she gave jayda $50 for no reason lol. and gave her $50 when she was born too. SIL is so ****ed off she hasnt go anything lol.

jayda has been so happy. even when she first wakes up it is all smiles and this mornign she was so huggy and that just isnt like her. she is so cute all smily awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww lol. i miss her now. she is at daycare today and i wont see her till after 6 :(

it is only a month till her birthdya i am so excited. i feel liek i need to buy her another present hahahahaha. i might use the money Dhs nana gave her and wrap it up lol.
AND we go away in 6 weeks i cant wait it will be the first itme on a plane for me and DD. we r goign to tasmania. i am trying to decide if i should take my laptop or just find a comp there a few times.

Yup i was thinking. :O OMG i want that heir... LOL... But i have also thought of shaving it also... (well i did when she was younger... I have aweful fine hair so i thought it would thicken hers up... but i just couldnt do it... LOL. So she has this patch right on the top with long hair and little ones everywhere else... Looks hilarious like a comb over... PMSL.

Walking is going great we can get to 10 steps but not often cos she gets to excited... LOL. She is now taking risks and letting do and walking herself to lounges or to her lion walker from the lounge etc... She had a crash going to her little play table... OUCH... But hasnt seem to bother her confidence yet...

More teeth comming up here... we have 8 and 2 more poping up. She christened her night nappy last night :sick: the liner didnt catch much... lol. so 1/2 the night in a sposie and were back to nappy rash... GRRRRRRRRR... Have just spent $200 on new MCNs so i can avoid this horrid aweful rash... its so sore she hates sitting down... :(

LMK- I have used duromine- have some here but havent started cos i'm lazy... LOL. I lost 26kgs using them before i had the kids (1 month of them and 2 months without them..) Great for the kick start just hate the fact they make me not sleep.

jess: r they tabs u have to get from the doc?

well i have been reading all about duromine and i would really liek to go on it. last time i was at the docs she said she really didnt like giving things for weightloss so hopefully when i go on fri she will give it to me. i have 35kgs to loose :(

jayda has been really good. not much to report. i think another bottom tooth is comeing through.

Yup prescription only but they are speed so they give u that speedy pepped up feeling... ur alert etc.
