Abb34- Hamish has 6 teeth? That's amazing. Yasmeenia still only has the 4. Ain't babies fascinated with hair? Probably a wise decision for cutting it short:D.

Nana- Saturday mornings to yourself sounds good. Enjoy! On the other hand, I've never had a day off since Yasmeenia was born. Maybe I should make demands. Lol. No, am waiting for my day to come. When I come to Melbourne and not come back to Perth until DH begs for my return. I miss my sisters, cousins, brother, mother, and other family members noises. I miss my friends. I miss having a social life. But in the meantime I am content. Nana, I had a similar experience last week when Yasmeenia woke up at 2:30am crying for no reason. I cried and thought to myself "I am not ready for this kind of lifestyle". Of course, I didn't share that with DH. I too am becoming a little resentful towards him because I do everything for DD and him. By the way, I like your husband's idea about the nanny, at least it would be better than taking your child to daycare.

Bec7- I bought her 4 new toys: a Ducky Rattle Stacker, a cell phone (colourful, has dial tones, makes music, and you is a flip phone), Pop-ups toys (has five animals), and this ball like toy with a mini-ball inside (perfect for tummy time- because I can roll it to her). I got her the cell phone toy because she cries for my mobile phone. Lol. She is doing excellent now. However she is always crying for my attention. Wanting to be picked up, taken outside to the front yard or backyard, wanting my drinks, etc. The dinosaur toy sounds like a good idea. But at the moment, she would rather bang the pop-up toy instead of pushing the button for the animal to appear. Good to hear your husband found a job, part-time is better than nothing.

Just a quick one...while Cam is happily playing by himself.

We had a lovely day in the park yesterday with mothers group. We all took toys, which bubs shared and Cameron had a blast. He just wandered over to the other bubs and was trying to interact with them and happily shared the toys -though some of the other bubs were a little snatchy, which brought on a couple of tears, oh - but it was good to see them learning to share and interact. This time I remembered his hat...and he made me very proud and kept it on all day :clap:. The only stuff up I made was I missed a little spot under his eyes with the suncream :doh:, so it was a tiny bit burnt (its gone today though).

And today we had a 1st birthday party in another park. It was good, Cam started eating the fruit I brought (he ate a slice of pear, apple, rockmelon, watermelon), then they passed around other fruit, so gave him a bit of pineapple, which he ate, then they passed around cheese and vegemite sandwiches...which Cam ended up have a little triangle...then the bad stuff...fairy bread. I figured hey, we were at a birthday party...so why not. Well Cam loved it, almost finished the little triangle. About 30mins later they brought out the birthday cake...and I had promised him he could have some. Well they cut a little square for him...so we sat him down on the grass and let him feed himself. No sooner was the plate on the ground, Cam picked up the cake and shoved it in his mouth. He kept on shovelling til it was all around his mouth, with most of it in his mouth. He loved it. Then the birthday girl was placed next to him and they were laughing and sharing cake :rofl:...it was soooo cute. Got some great pics...I'll post them when I get a chance. So overall it was a good day...he fell asleep as soon as we left, and was easily transferred to bed when home. He was exhausted...think it'll be an early night for all here, cause so are we.

Oh and Sassy - :confetti: Woohoo :hooray: congratulations on Jayda's 1st tooth. I've been wondering whether it had popped up yet. I love sharing exciting milestones on here too.

we had a busy weekend. it was my bro and jacobs (a friend of the family's) birthday yesterday. we went and seen jacob yesterday for his birthday and they had cake and party food and jayda was into all of it. prob naughty but i let her suck on a snake for a bit and she loved it. then she ha some chips and boy did she love them. oh and when the cake come around she took a big handful and was into it had it everywhere but loved it.
then i was feeding her a custard and she cut her finger on the can but she didnt cry for long.
i have had a bad morning this morning so many things have gone wrong.

Sorry, I'm just lurking for a bit. Have had a write-off of a weekend, with 4am wake-ups, constant tantrums and screaming all day today. DS is TEETHING so bad! He just suffers so much and these top teeth are giving us all hell. :pray: it will be all over soon. I am starting to dread a 14 hour flight like it's some kind of death sentence... let alone the other long flights we have to make. GP said we could try him on Polaramine to sedate him a bit, but the pharmacist wouldn't sell it to me! Argh!

Sassy - congratulations on Jayda's first tooth! That's great! She sounds like a real party animal :) Aadi got into some chips at a BBQ we had last weekend, he made such a mess but absolutely loved them!

Bec - your party sounds nice too. I bet the pics of the kids sharing cake are so cute! How good is Cameron, keeping his hat on?! That's quite an achievement!!

Girl - I almost got my Saturday morning to myself, but it's just too hard. DP freaks out if he has to change a nappy, but considering how much Aadi throws himself around on the change table, that's not surprising! I did get a bit of time to do some extra housework that had been bugging me for months, but that's not exactly relaxing. Soon maybe it will be better, but I shouldn't really vent and whinge. Single mums have it so much harder, with no break. I do get the occasional break, even if I have to supervise nappy changes and instruct DP what to do to amuse Aadi.

Sassy - Sounds like Jayda also had a good time party'ing too :partysmiley:. Won't be long before they are asking when are we going to another party...just to get the junk food they wouldn't usually get :lol: The cake Cameron hoffed into also had a red snake on it, but i wasn't sure how Cam would handle it (it was a little chopped up though) - so I snagged that one - but if I hadn't of taken it I wouldn't have gotten any of the cake :rolleyes:. Oh and I hope your day improved.

NaNa - Oh, hurry up those teeth hey :pray: They seem to be a bit of a real bother for you. I hope they pop up soon then give you some rest while your away. Yeah, I was very proud of Cam wearing his hat all day when we were out both Friday and Saturday. I found the key is to distract them with their hands while you are popping it on and after a while he forgot it was there (until another little kid tried to pull it off :doh:). Next step is the sunnies!

How's everyone else going. Been rather quite in here. Hope you's are all well.

Cam has been rather tired last few days...think he was a little exhausted from the last few days being out and party'ing. This morning I had to wake him at 7am (he usually wakes between 6-6.20am these days), then again after his morning sleep at 11am and again at 4.30pm - both days sleeps were at least 2hrs! But the weather is making it great to sleep anyway. That nasty Cyclone hanging off the coast it making it very windy and rainy. I'm praying :pray: it disappears by the weekend...its my best friends wedding.

Oh Cameron did another funny thing this arvo. DH came into Cam's bedroom when I woke him this arvo and was eating a banana. He offered Cam some through the cot...Cam just looked at it like "what is that" (I think he was still waking up). Then half the banana fell off into his cot...he quickly grabbed and shoved it in his mouth. He then kept pushing it in and pretty much devoured the whole lot within a matter of seconds. Little gobble guts.

I think Cam's next tooth is on its way. I could see the little white tooth pushing through his top gum today...so hopefully it breaks though over the next few days.

Question:- Has anyone given there bubs peanuts / peanut butter yet?

I know there is all different rules...some say to wait 12months, others say 2 years and some say that I shouldn't be eating peanuts or peanut butter while BF (I was never aware of this, I ate it all through my pregnancy too...I love it...it ain't toast without it). I think it would be very unlikely Cam would react, but it's still a scary to give it a go.

Hi everyone
Well i have had a busy few days, worked 4 days last week (all weekend also) but it was only a one off, i am happy its over though, sooooo tired. I did 36 hours in 4 days and felt so bad not spending much time with the kids especially hamish, i went to work yesterday morning and he was not even awake yet and got back in time to feed him dinner and bottle but to tired to bath him so dp did for me. I cant believe how lucky i am to have a such a great partner he spent his entire 3 days off with Hamish and dd and wait for it managed to keep the house clean and do the washing.
Bec i haven't given hamish nuts yet but i was thinking of doing a test with peanut butter soon, i think he has had absolutely everything else. It was nice to chat to you the other night, i have managed to take a little photo and put it up, although i hate it. I hope to get the camera repaired soon.
NaNa - lol cyclone hamish, i did find that amusing although i realise it is not that funny to some. We will be in Melbourne this coming weekend, we have Dp's family reunion thing on Sunday and we are staying out at his parents place (greensborough), what part of Melbourne are you in? I will be vising my sister sometime Saturday, she lives in Camberwell.
Sass- sounds like jayda enjoyed the party, wont be long before we are holding our bubs partys.
Girl - Hamish loves hair, he use to run his fingers through my hair, he stared at me for a long time after it was cut but i am getting use to it now and it is alot easier to look after.

Sorry i have been MIA for a few weeks i have been sooooo busy with everthing, i have been on here reading just not posting i just seem to run out of time or something hapens and have to run.

Bec i would probably wait with peanuts only because i am paranoid but i suppose if they have not had a reactin to things like chocolate and other things that have traces of nuts in them then they should not really have a problem. Dont think i am a bad mum and feed abbie chocolate but she has had some either because the boys have given it to her or she is screaming at me while i am eating lol!!!!

Abb thats great that hubby is great at home when you are working i too have a great hubby who helps around the house and gets the kids ready in the morning !!!!

Nana i know about he whole medicine they are not allowed to sell it to you if your child is under 3 or something like that even for cough medicine so i just say its for cody he he he naughty i know but i am not going to the stupid doctor everytime i need cough medicine for the younger two.


Sassy sound like jayda had a great day at the party abbie would be the same if there was food around she loves her food!!!!!!! Hope you day got better the other day:-)

Hi Ladies....

So sorry... been feeling like a slack a$s not posting in the other threads so have been doing a few. Gosh all these new arrivals, Losses, preg announcements... its beena bit of a roller coaster giving help to others. After writing a post to help someone through a tough time i found myself thinking what a hipocrite i was. I was giving advice i had not taken myself. So i ended up writing a thread about my losses as i never really speak about my Angels. I helped alot. Things here. Although sleep soounds better here then with some of you , DP still isnt helping out much and things are just piling up, i'm in tears for no reason, feeling like there is so much pressure, i cant even get basic chores done at the moment. I have no energy, no motivation, feel like my head is mush during the day but at night i cant sleep cos its going 100 miles an hour. My neck and back are so sore but also i keep getting these weird pains all over, like it'll start on my left side lower tummy and then my arms will start acheing etc... I just feel so Blah..... DP and i had a huge fight. He called my lazy and yes i havent been doing much but have spent the last 3 weeks asking for help and getting nothing so i have taken a step back cos i just cant handle it anymore. I spent a long time doing everything by myself proving to people i could be a mum at 19 and now when i need it no one is willing to offer help. MIL's idea of helping is offering t pay for 1 more day a DC for DS. it will be good for me to have that day without him but i kind of expected that she'd speak with DP. Not sure if its cos his Dad was never around so he has never know what a father has or should do... He thinks he goes to work and thats it. Last night after i blurted my heart out about not coping i asked him to watch the kids while i cooked T. he *****ed and whinged that i said just til i get it on then... (u know like it was something) so he does (enough time for me to peel and chop the spuds) and he yells out to me... Is it ok if i have a shower... Like WTF... The chops were a bit burnt ( i gave that one to him where usually i would have had it) he comments on how its a bit burnt..... i tell him it was cos DD kept comming in and DS was annoying her and she was upset etc and if he was watching maybe dinner wouldnt be burnt but it doesnt sink in. I just feel like nothing will get through to him... how to i tell him that i feel like i'm zoned out... not with it anymore... i even forgot last week to take DS to preschool...

Sorry for the vent... Just had to get things out.

Abb- hope u have a great time in Melbourne... Heard bout ur meet up with the girls... So jealous u and NaNa are having a meet up... I have my 1st BB meet up next monday (23rd) ... So excited.

Brought DD an amber necklace for the teething... Hopefully it will arrive today... Been looking at party stuff... Not sure how over the top i want to go... LOL... Feel slack that jordan had a HUGE 1st B'day. Cant choose between Butterflies, fairies, or princesses. My friends think i should make it Butterflies and fairy princesses and incorporate them all.. lol... what is everyone getting the kids for their B'days... have no idea what to get... I brought a bracelt (from ebay) $40 9 k solid gold. Bargin... RRP $140. YAY... Cant wait to give it to her and put it on.

I was speaking to a friend bout peanuts the other day... I hadnt even given DD a sandwich yet and yesterday was her 1st honey one and she LOVED it... My friends said to try PB but i had an allergy as a child and i wont be trying for a while... Good news is looks like DD doesnt have an MSG allergy like DS>.. We had chinese and DP gave her some fried rice and she was ok... YAY...

Anyone else with a bubba with ezcema??? What does bubs react to??? Tiahna gets a flare up with Bananna... her FAV fruit... :(

Your DP should be looking after the children while you cook because afterall you are cooking for him, children, and yourself. He shouldn't be complaining, seriously! Have you thought about hiring a cleaner just the one time so you can get on top of things? And maintain the house? Your DP should be more understanding. Keep talking to him;). I am thinking about getting DD a gold necklace and a braclet for her 1st.

Jess, I totally know where you're coming from. If you recall, I had a little rant about that last week... I know it's not so bad here for me since I only have the one mental DS (kidding!) but it seems to be a hard time for us mums, something of a milestone... you know, 9 months inside, now 9 months outside, and it's all gone a bit blahhh for us. Oh and Friday the 13th and a full moon just don't make things any better, even if you're not superstitious! It's really hard to throw a major tantrum to get what you need without coming off as a major nutcase and traumatising the kids sometimes! I nearly lost it at DP again last night, because he was harping on about co-sleeping and how I never consider his opinions on parenting blahblah, but instead of spinning out I went and emailed him a whole heap of links to posts here on BB from other mums in the same or similar situations and told him to stop making me feel so guilty for trusting my instinct and doing my very best with NO HELP from anyone. He emailed me back from work this morning and apologised. After the SH!#house day we had yesterday, that's the least he could do. Anyway, I really hope you can find a way to communicate your needs to your DP and get some help and support from him. The role of a father is so much more than just the breadwinner, especially when you have no other family for support. The aunties, sisters, friends and relatives that would normally be around in a "typical" family just aren't there for you, so you need him to step up and do his bit. I really hope for your sake you can find the way that works to get it thru to him that you deserve a bit more from him, after all you've been thru and are going thru every day. Especially if your health is suffering. Maybe point out to him that he would be entirely responsible for the kids if you were to get sick, and he needs to know how to handle that and take care of you too.

Don't know about excema flare-ups but I'm avoiding tomato for DS coz it seems to make things unbearable all round. He doesn't like banana much, but I managed to hide some in his breakfast and he ate it. But not straight banana. Spits it out! I will try him on peanut butter soon, and have a bit of a trial run on a few other new things before we go away because I know that everyone will want to give him EVERYTHING in Lebanon. They force-fed me there last time and I put on 5kg in a week and was so sick from overeating! I need to avoid any allergic reactions while on holidays.
1st birthday... well, how's a ticket to Lebanon and France sound?? I'm going broke buying clothes and shoes for the boy as it is. Can't afford much else! He's grown out of the shoes I bought him last week!

LMK - enjoy your weekend away! We have a tupperware demonstrator in our mothers group and she gave me a catalogue to drool over. Unfortunately my kitchen in crammed chock-full of accumulated stuff (mostly commercial grade!) that I just can't justify buying more. So tempting though!

Abb - I know the greatest cake shop where we can meet up... it's just nearby my place... hope we can catch up after I go to the dentist so I'm not tempted to eat everything :) My house is a pigsty, wouldn't even suggest it!

Yesterday DS was tired and cranky around 9:30, his normal-ish nap time. So instead of having a sleep he started screaming and didn't really stop until 2pm. He wouldn't feed, he wouldn't play, he wouldn't do anything except cry and yell. I tried everything, even walked miles with him in the sling. I'm surprised someone didn't call the cops coz of this crazy lady obviously torturing her child for blocks but he just wouldn't let up. Then when he finally went to sleep he cried in his sleep every few minutes and then woke up 20 minutes later. And didn't go to sleep again till 7 when DP put him to bed. Really makes you question yourself, but there was nothing wrong with him other than teething and being overtired. If this 6th tooth doesn't pop soon, I'm gonna lose the plot!
However, he slept thru till 6, and has napped ok today. Similar thing happened on Sunday, and he slept right thru after no naps all day, but I just can't let him go all day without a nap because he's rotten! No fun at all. hmmm....
ok, lunch time. Pigsty to navigate thru to find the kitchen. bah!

Well still no help from DP. I spent all day yesterday asking for help for 1/2 hour-1 hour to get this house cleaned from top to bottom. Nope no help. He was building the shed... (he has 2 weeks holiday and has to do that the 1st day. So last night i ask him to watch the kids while i cooked... It lasted 5 mins DD was in the bathroom, DS was behind me and DP on the puter... Grrrr... Today he goes off to pick up shed stuff and he knows hid Dad is comming at 11. He gets home at 10 walks round comments how i should get ready cos "he'll be here soon" the house was still a mess, i had people looking at puppies, HEAPS of laundry to do from all the rain. So i tell him that i cant have a shower i have to go get the BBQ stuff... (it was last minute BBQ) So i say no either clean up or go get the stuff on the list... So he chooses to go out... I finally got the house looking ok (well lived in... lol) 1 load of washing out DP gets home i hope in the shower and just get out when i hear their car pullup... GRRRR....

Anyways enough whinging... Its never going to change... Its really starting to irritate me so it will get to the point where it explodes and he wonders why. Nothing works. He doesnt get it. Its like his brain cant absorb it or something...

Dd seems to be going well... 2 days with the amber necklace and lots of drooling still not much sooking but not sure if its from the necklace or not??

Made a trial Cake today but forgot to take pictures... :wall: oh well wasnt that great... Have a few to try before i pick one.

LMK- decided i'm getting my hair done next fortnight. Dont care if i dont pay something i'm doing it. DP can watch the kids i figured while he's on holidays why not utilise it. My BB meet up next monday he'll be home no car so i'll be leaving him a long list. If it doesnt get done watch the **** hit the fan... No work so no excuse at all... I dont even care if i have to spend $500 to get him to do some minor work to the back yard (one thing on the list). also i want him to put shelves in the wardrobe.

Jess - It will change. It has to. Like I said, don't make me come round there - I'll hit him upside the head with a wooden spoon! You're not a single mum, so if he can't take responsibility for the kids and look after them for a bit ~responsibly~ or the house, which is your family's HOME, then he can pay for someone else to do it so you have time for #1 yourself, and #2 you and him as a couple and #3 your kids, and then the home (which is way down the list of priorities really - you're more important!). Dont let him let you crash and burn, honey! Just because you managed before doesn't mean you can now, and you shouldn't have to.

Abb & I didn't get to meet up. :( We both had stuff on, and she didn't get to Melbourne till late coz of car trouble.
I had a get-together this morning with all the mums AND dads from our playgroup. It was pretty chaotic, we were supposed to go for a BBQ at a park but the weather in Melbs is crap, so we all ended up at a huge cafe. I think there were 20 of us plus babies. The cafe did well to manage it, but they still burnt my toast (always happens to me!). We didn't get any sleep last night, and DS was a right little monster, but turned into the sweetest angel as soon as we arrived and made me look like a fool for complaining! Nobody believes me... but at least DP was there to verify my tales today!

Sadly, I'm home alone. Have been since Tuesday this week and until Saturday (next week). Surprisingly, I am coping just fine. It's a little boring because there isn't anyone to talk to at home besides from Yasmeenia. I need to do some serious shopping for clothes but the problem is I hate shopping. I can't stand it. I get tired quickly and would rather eat and just go home.

Yasmeenia is doing wonderful. She is so lovely to be around. He sleeping isn't too great though. She goes to sleep around 9:30pm. She has a 2 hour nap and another 30mins nap. She loves it when I read to her. She isn't crawling. My sister's baby was walking at 10 months. She gets around the living room by rolling, or pulling herself. She can't sit still. Lol.

Jess - Sorry to hear your DP is being a poo head about doing things around the house and helping with the kids still. Does he have any male friends with children that you could have a little word to...then maybe that friend could somehow subtly talk to your DP. Don't bottle it for too long though, come on here and vent when ever you need to as well. Hey is that trial cake for Tiahna's birthday - if so you clever person you. I never even thought to make a cake - I was just going to cheat - hmm...maybe i'll rethink that then.

Girl - Don't worry about the crawling to much - there is a couple of babies within mothers group who don't crawl yet either, more does a little tummy shuffle along the ground - and they are 10.5months old. On the sleeping - is that a sleep through the night from 9.30pm, then a morning 2hr nap and 30min arvo - if so that ain't too bad. Hope you haven't gone to crazy being home alone - you talking to yourself or the tv alot (I do anyway with or without other people here..so that ain't a crazy thing though).

NaNa - LOL on the burnt toast - that's always me too. We (more so me) usually get stuffed around when eating out. It's either burnt, wrong order, late, forgotten about :doh: Yeah, an overseas trip for Aaid sounds like a pretty good 1st birthday present to me. I'm sure he'll get a souvenir (sp?) as well which will be something he can keep as a reminder of it too - as well as a little fat belly from all that food :lol:

Nikki - How'd your trip up here to the Gold Coast go? Where did you stay? Did you check out the theme parks? Thank goodness the rain cleared up for you...it's been horrible over the last week.

Well we've had a busy few days. Friday was my Mum's birthday, so we went up to hers (30mins up highway) for the day. For her present we did a paint hand and footprint, and I also got Cam to do a little fingerpainting (was very messy and he didn't enjoy it at all), which I framed with a picture of Cam in his "Nana" shirt (couldn't get one doing the fingerpainting as it was too messy). She was so happy she cried.

I also had an appointment at the hairdressers for a trim, so Mum got to 'babysit' for a little bit - she was in her element.

Then Saturday was my best friends wedding. I left Cam at home with DH (left after his 1st feed - as hair was being done early). Even though the hairdresser was warned, she was still overwhelmed when she saw my hair (it is rather long and very thick). So it took a little longer then expected. I ended up popping home (which was still a 25min drive) about 11ish, did a quick express - which felt pointless as only got about 100mls (think I was a little stressed, nervous, excited - just couldn't flow). Then Dh and Cam dropped me back up there. Dh then tried to get Cam to have a sleep, as wedding was at 4, but they had to leave home by 3. Apparently Cam finally gave in about 10mins before he had to get up :rolleyes:. Oh well, he was still a good and happy boy at the ceremony (except for a squeal I heard - right at a quiet moment :doh:).

I was soo nervous and excited. I'd fought tears all day, especially after our make up was done. I was also helping the bride get dressed and I think that was the hardest moment...but kept my focus. But as soon as I started walking down the isle I stupidly looked at the groom (I was telling myself the whole car trip not to do that). Down came the tears and the quivering lips. It was so beautiful. I was also asked to do a reading which was halfway through the ceremony. I was so nervous I'd stuff it up:redface:. Every time I'd practised I'd read it soo fast, but thankfully when it was my turn, my brain went clear...and I read it perfectly...I was so proud of myself :clap:

The rest of the ceremony and reception was great - pictures are on my facebook. We all had a wonderful and relaxed - especially the bride -there was a little hiccup with the cake not being ready...but it got there just in time and there was a little bit of rain about lunchtime - but the sun was out in time for the wedding. My mum came to the ceremony and took Cameron back to ours after the photos, that way we could relax. She had no trouble with him...went to bed easily (dam my mum says...think she was hoping for more cuddles).

Well besides that...the only other thing that's happened is that Cam's getting his next tooth. I can see today the top right eye tooth has cut through...and I think the left is not far away.

Well we had an interesting Weekend.

NaNa aww so sorry we didn't get to catch up, we ended up only in Melbourne for 24 hours. We had so much to fit in the time we are now coming back in Easter School holidays for about 3 00r 4 days so we will most definetley catch up then i promise.

Bec - i had a look at photos on Facebook, you look gorgeous and love the family picture, Cameron is so happy. Hamish did behave very well, was unsure how he would sleep etc in strange house but he slept from 9.30 to 8am so i was very pleased.

Jess - I hope things improve with your Dh, i agree with NaNa he needs to help, you can not continue with no support. Try and take advantage of his 2 weeks off, it seems like you will have to take every opportunity you can until he gets it.

We had trouble with tyres on the car so had to return friday night, was so very annoyed as they were brand new, only fitted friday. Anyhow we left Saturday, arrived at Dp's parents home, we had never stayed before as Dp's brother lives in a unit behind there place and Dp and him have not spoken for 4 years ( that is a whole new thread). We had a good weekend but i think we spent more time in the car than anywhere else, i am now tired and sore from sleeping on an air bed that was flat majority of night.
Hamish is awake so i will try be back later..

No I have not gone crazy. I've surprised myself. I am doing really really well. I speak to DH 3-4 times a day. It's great because DD and I go out so we are not stuck only at home. DD doesn't sleep all night. She still breastfeeds twice during the night. Or probably three times (quick feeds). It also helps her settle. She isn't hungry but does it for comfort purposes. She has been sleeping with me for 2 months now during the night. She has not slept in her cot only for day naps which I normally take too which means she sleeps in my bed. LADIES, I have a problem. I am addicted...to shopping but not for me, for Yasmeenia. Everytime, well almost everytime I go out I buy her clothes. Probably every month or every fornight :doh:. Today I bought her two outfits and a top :doh:. It's so beautiful I couldn't help it. Goodness, I wonder what DH is going to say. He always tells me not to buy clothes often because she is growing, blah, blah, SHUT UP! Tell it to someone who cares! Sorry ladies. But I hate it when he tells me not to do this, that, ect. Anyways time for dinner. Bye for me.

so cant beleive jayda is 10months on thursday it has gone so fast. 2months till her birthday i have nearly got everything organised.
i am going to do a trial of her cake this weekend i think. i just have to decide between 2 cakes a butterfly or a castle.

we had a shocking night last night. she cried all night and slept with us cause i was too tired to keep gettin up and going to her room. DH had a sook this morning even though he isnt working today. then i just took her upstairs to him while the other kids have a sleep so she doesnt keep them up and u should of seen the look on his face it was like i asked him to run a 100km race or something. so now he is up there being all grumpy slamming doors and all that so it prob would of been queiter keeping her down here.
i so hope she sleeps tonight cause Dh is on night work and i really need some sleep.

i think her top eye teeth r coming through one i can see is about to cut through and her nose is running liek crazy and she has a chesty cough. she is happy as anythign today so i dunno if it was teeth or just sick.

i really dunno wat to do. i have 6 months of my pill left and we were going to start trying after it ran out but i am so worried about my weight. i am tryin so hard to be good and get it off but the harder i try it seems i am puttin more on.
i was booked into a hypnotherapist last friday but she never showed up so i rang another one today and he doesnt work the only day i can go so i guess that is a sign i am not ment to go to one lol.
i know all my weight issues r in my head thats y i wanted to go to the hypnotherapist to get all that sorted out but yeah i just dont know.
then i am thinkin well it isnt much use loosing all the weight hten puttin it back on again when preg shoudl i just wait until after the next(and last) bub and try really hard after that to get it off?

OMG Sass- i just did a trial cake too... Beautiful Butterfly... Have few designs to try also a fairy/doll one (u know the one where it looks like the dolls dress) and i have been looking at castle ones on ebay and they have some GREAT cake tins of disney princesses, butterflies, castles etc... SO excited trialing these cakes... But sad that our babies are growing up... i think were all not liking how fast they are growing.

I'm always buying stuff for DD... I think its so tempting with girls... I thought being my 2nd i'd learn but nope... LOL... I saw the cutest demim dress with long sleeve top and just had to have it for DD... New shoes to match... LOL... Dying for her to grow some hair so i can make little pigy tails... LOL....

DD has been going well... Woke up this morning rosy cheeks and i thought OMG she'd going to be so sooky but nope... Not sure if its the amber necklace but the last few days she has been great. lots of teething signs (dribbling, red cheeks, nappy rash pulling ears) but no sooking.
She now LOVES Cherio's for breakfast. DS eats them and not sure if its cos he likes them that DD does but she eats a small bowl for breakie (no milk added) then a bottle 1 piece of fruit for morning tea sandwhich for lunch then botle and bed maybe another piece of fruit or the mum mum biccies for arvo snack with a small drink of pear juice (which i have noticed is keeping her regular and not constipated) dinner (usually what we have or pasta/ravioli/ or something similar then bottle and bed by 7.30 if she wakes at night i give her 100-150 mls of milk only at 1 wake up if she wakes twice she gets water.

So thats 4 bottles(200mls) and 1 at wake up of 100-150mls....so 4-5 bottles a day is that what ur bubs are having??

i tried jayda on rice bubbles the other morning she was a bit weird with them but she ate most of it (with milk)

she isnt eating much today so i gave her a extra bottle. she usually has 3x240ml but she is nearly ready to drop one but i dont kwno if i should drop the morning or lunch one. wat do u think?

We have tooth number 7 today, he now has 4 up top and 3 on bottom.
Jess - Hamish only has two bottles now, 200ml in morning and night, i give him a sippy cup with milk at lunch. He has cows milk in his breakfast and in cup at lunch but formula in his bottle. I have just started the sippy cup of milk as i didnt think he was getting enough but refuses a bottle during the day. I suppose he eats a yoghurt and cheese during the day so i hope he is getting enough calcium.
Sass i cant believe they are nearly 10 months now, I was doind a elmo theme for Hamish 1st birthday but i think i will have to change to Roary the Racing Car as he loves him so much. My aunty makes character ice cream cakes so Hamish will either have Roary or Elmo. I am having big weight issues too, i have always been big but about 3 years ago i lost 25kg and i kept it off until having Hamish and i think i have put it all back on and more, i get so depressed about it atm. I did personal training when i lost the weight so i think i may have to do that again as i am to lazy to do it by myself i need to be pushed.

eeeeek! At playgroup today, I found out one of the other mums is pregnant! Her son is only a couple of weeks younger than DS, but thankfully not nearly as hyper or full-on. She was so freaked out about telling us, because she thought we'd all say she was crazy. Well, maybe a little bit, but good on her. I think she's brave, and wish her the very best of luck. I know there will be a couple more announcements in our group soon, there's a few mums who want an 18-month gap between their kids. Still, freaks me out...

Anyways... still no sleep here. DS is officially nuts. I am SO over this waking up and screaming, then partying every 2 hours. I'm so knackered. Quarter to 5 this morning he decides it's a good time to go potty, and in order to tell me this he climbs onto my face and squeals and claps like it's hysterically funny and shouts at me. And today he slept a total of 45 minutes, with half an hour kicking and fussing in the middle. So tonight he's in his own single bed, in our room. :pray: it helps, because I can't get him to sleep in the cot anymore, and I'm fed up with him beating me up every morning!!

Abb - woo! 7 teeth! Number 6 is still just about to cut thru here, and I swear each tooth has been worse than the last. You're lucky! DS likes Roary too, but still prefers the French news to everything else on TV. Is that wierd?? He's totally transfixed by it... :o

Bec - the wedding sounds lovely, I'm sure you were great! So lucky to have your mum to take Cameron for a while!

I don't have much choice, because DS grows out of everything so quickly. But I buy a lot of secondhand stuff because I can't afford to spend so much on clothes he'll never wear. Sass - sorry you had a rough night! welcome to my world ;) Apparently the eye teeth cause the most trouble when bubs are teething (except for the 2y.o molars!) so hopefully that's the only thing that's causing problems and it gets back to normal for you.

birthday cakes... hadn't even thought about it. I'm sick of making cakes. I'd rather just eat them! I think we'll have a combined playgroup party for all the kids in July when I get back from OS. Can't really be bothered making a big fuss for just DS when he wont remember anything, and wont eat cake anyway. He gagged on a piece of my muffin this morning and puked everywhere! Bleurk!

omg my mum is so annoying. i had to ring her to tell her one of the kids percentages cause she is looking after some of my kids today cause ia m not working and then she goes on and on abotu how i shoudl take jayda to the doc (have already made an appt) and that i should stop taking her to the pool and i said i am i havnt taken her since last wed. then she keeps goign on about how it is too cold and it is wat is makign her sick. i was like i knwo i just told u i have stopped since last week and stop treating me like a dumb arse i know wat to do with her.

Hi all... Its been so quiet in here. i feel like i havent been posting more then once every few days.

Sas- Older mothers always feel the need to add there 2cents so dont feel bad. Its worse when its not someone u know and who are just caring about u. Hate when strangers butt in... HUGS.

NaNa- OMG... I dont know how ur functioning. Your DS sounds like My DS. a monster bebe. LOL. I hope the single bed works out. Mustnt be nice being beated while ur asleep... DD hurts when she hits. Would be worse when he not expecting it and are sleeping.

Abb- WOW 7 teeth... our #6 is cut through but keps going up and down. DS, DD, DP and i all love roary... lol the kids love it so we all muck round ans sing it stupidly... glad no one can see us... lol.

Sass- The necklace is short so she doesnt see it and its light so she cant really feel it. She hasnt pulled on it and she now wears it 24/7... No idea if its the necklace but she has been dribbly, rosy cheeked, nappy rash, touch or dioreah (spl). No sooking. she has been great. Appart from the fat bleeding lip and the bumps and bruises she keeps getting from being crazy and wanting to walk.

Tiahna is so fast at crawling. I thought she was already fast but now she is like super fast. She is walking round the house with her walker,. Eating everything. Tonight we had Veal tortilini and i gave her some without the sauce and she ate just as much as DS did. She has been singing sounds and being so giggly. She laughts when others do its so cute. She is stil clingy but i think soon enough she wil grow out of it. She's getting more and more independant every day. She's a bit shy i think at 1st and when trying new things but once she does things (when she thinks no one is watching) she is un-stopable.

Yasmeenia's 5th tooth should be cutting through very soon :D.

hmmmm.... sleep school was sposed to call today, but didn't. I doubt they will be very helpful anyway. I figure this is just all sent to test me. Karma for something terrible, I'm sure!!

Anyway, the single bed is going well. DS is napping in it beautifully so far, and night times he's going to sleep in it no problems. But of course, the problem is getting him to STAY asleep... He's waking every 2-3 hours for a feed. That's no problem, but the kicking and screaming tantrums that follow are just revolting. Didn't happen much last night, but the night before he was up 1am for a feed, then DP pushed us BOTH out of bed (accidentally! huh.) and was grabbing me, preventing me from picking DS up off the floor where he was screaming! DP is a terrible sleepwalker. Calmed DS down and he went back to sleep with me, but he was up again at 3.30 crying, I fed him at 4, he almost dozed off but started babbling and kicking instead. After a few attempts to get him to calm down, he started full-on wailing and carrying on, and I had to get him up and turn all the lights on to shock him into shooshing for just a moment. He'd soaked thru his nappy, and was asking for the potty. Sat there grinning and laughing like a maniac... farting and pooping like it was the funniest thing out. I was not amused!! All cleaned up and back to trying to calm him down, by then it was 4.45. He fussed and carried on until 6 when I finally got him to feed to sleep. Up for the day at 7.15. DP got up at 5 because he just couldn't take the noise anymore, and had to go to work after only 2.5 hours sleep. And then, NO NAPS ALL DAY.
So I ask you, how am I functioning? I have no freaking clue. Monsta bebe. But damn he's cute... all day, cuddles and kisses. All night, screaming and violence! Gemini?!

Oh, but I carry on. It has to pass, one day. Right?? Ha!

Jess - I don't know if anyone got back to you in the cloth nappy thread about night nappies. They babble on like crazy in there, things get missed. I have been recommended Possum Pouches' Keester Kovers AIO by Gigi, and if there's anything she doesn't know about MCN it's not worth knowing! They're WAHM-made, and cheap ($30!!), and no need for covers or whatever. I've tried a few others, like Sandman, Wild Child and BubbleBubs Good-Night-Sleep-Tight, but DS soaks thru them all and they all need fleece or wool covers. And they're huuuuuuuge! I'm going to give one of the KKs a try when they have something other than fuschia pink in stock! But then again, who's going to know? nah, DP would kill me! No pink on our boy!
Amber necklaces are great, aren't they? I wear one too, and the one time I took it off, I got folliculitis under my arm (swelling and pain). I hate to think how bad DS would be without his *shudder*.

Sorry it's been a while - I've been reading and popping in over the last few days, but just haven't had time to post. And now I'm feeling a little tired and lazy...so very sorry won't be doing personals...just wanted to say :hello: to everyone and hope you's are all well.

Not too much new here. Cameron finally said Dad-dad-dad today. He said it this morning and I wasn't sure if I had misheard it, but said it again. I was so tempted to go running into DH to tell him...who was still asleep - but thought he could do with the extra sleep and it was unlikely Cam would say it again (which he didn't). But thankfully Cam said it again while DH was laying on the ground in Cam's room while Cam was happily playing in his cot.

Umm...what else... DH is currently out with Cam. They left about 12.30pm and its now 6pm - they are at DH's friends house and have decided to stay for dinner there. So I've been madly cleaning house. It's amazing how much I can get done when I don't have to be quiet . But so tired from it now though. Missing them alot now though...should be home soon though as Cam is due for his next milk soon and DH only took 1 formula bottle (we still BF too, so getting a little engorged now).

Oh...something I've been meaning to ask. Is it just us or do others find they struggle with bubs when changing them...whether it's nappy or clothes? Cam constantly wants to roll over onto his tummy and hang over the side of the change table (either trying to grab the straps or anything else he can get hold of). Then when I try to turn him back over he cries and carries on...very frustrating! :wall: I have tried to change on the floor, but then he turns over he just takes off :rolleyes: Even toys only amuse him for so long. Oh well, guess he'll realise the importance of clothes when winter comes around.

Hey Bec! We have the exact same problem with change time. DS just flips over 99% of the time. It freaks me out, because even when he's strapped down he can still fall. He grabs everything out of the side compartments and throws it around so I shifted it all. Very annoying. If I change him on the floor, or if DP is putting his night nappy on after a bath, it usually takes one of us to distract and restrain him and/or sit on him!! It's a constant battle, and he gets SOOO cranky and fights me when I try and turn him over and finish putting his nappy on. Number one reason why I don't use nappy pins!! Ouch!
Aadi always says DaDaDa for everything. It's actually getting a bit annoying. He also says mamamam a lot, and yesterday he was saying mamamamama for about 5 minutes (seriously, non-stop!) so I pointed to a picture of me and said, "mama" and he stopped, looked at it carefully and said "DaDa!". Grrrrr!!! :)
I had to tell DP to stop saying "attend! attend!" (french for "wait", pronounced ah-ton) because he was repeating it constantly to Aadi, who was copying him and saying adda adda! Now DP's always saying "azzar" which is arabic for cheeky, and it's the same thing! Adda adda adda all day. I say "potty", he says "adda"!! cuckoo.

I had a few hours in the house to myself today too. Felt so strange. But I did the same thing, turned the music up loud and cooked and cleaned and did so much stuff that I'd been meaning to do all week. DP took Aadi to a soccer game - his first! A friend of ours was there with her son who's the same age as Aadi too. Her husband is a professional soccer player and was playing today, so they had company.

Wooo! 10 months today! I don't know if it's because Aadi's teething and a bit snotty, but he slept 2 hours today! In one go! That hasn't happened since... I can't remember... And he slept 7pm to 6am with only 2 wake-ups. Please, :pray: let this be the start of things getting better! I'm gonna collapse in a shriveled heap otherwise.

Glad you had a bit of you time NaNa but your suppose to rest not cook and clean. I hope Aadi will keep sleeping better for you, i really dont know how you handle it, i love my sleep and even get annoyed if Hamish wakes once.

Bec - the changing thing has become a complete nightmare here too, sometimes i feel cruel holding him down to change him but he just fights it so much now, will kick and wriggle until he is half hanging of the change mat, it drives me crazy and takes twice as long. Well atleast we know its happening to a few of us.

There is not alot to report here either, nothing much has changed, still sleeping same and walking around with everything, he has started dragging/pushing the kitchen chairs with him now to get around, very annoying but funny at the same time. Hamish has become a real fan of music lately, he dances and has started to sing at the same time very cute, i will try upload a video on facebook. He is lots of fun, learning something different almost everyday, oh today we went to watch my bil and nephew play in cricket final and my nephew taught Hamish to put his hand up and finger when they say howzat.. He was there number one fan..lol

did not happen... was up at 12.30, 1.30, 2.15 wanting a drink and then from 3-5 pooping on the potty and then partying and throwing a tantrum for the remaining hour and 55 minutes. jayda is being a poo with her food. she doesnt want jar food but she wants to fee herself wat we r having but wont eat it in the high chair will only eat it off our plates.
she is also loosing interest in her bottles. i am tryin to teat her to drink out of a sippy cup better. she has one but she doesnt drink much out of it then i got her a staw one but it goes too fast and she spits it out but the others r too slow.

jayda has one of her eye teeth through and the other one only has a thin bit of skin covering so we r up to 3 now all on top and no sign of the bottom coming through. Oh and she bit my toe really hard on the weekend and was biting her own arm she had marks all up her arm from the teeth.

she seems to be saying dad with meaning now before it was just dad dad dad as in sounds but now it is to get his attention. oh and boobies hahahahaha. when i get dressed of a mornign she watches me and always has i always as boobies and i take my pjs off and she laughs but now she is saying boobies as i do it hahahaha.

hmmmmm wat else. not long now till their birthdays. i nearly have all the decorations and party games and stuff just need to get the food when it gets closer. i made a castle cake ont he weekend as a trail but MIL said she will buy her a butterfly cake so i am happy not having to worry about that. i was quiet shocked she mentioned getting it but lol.

Hi ladies. Had my BB meet up at Chipping Norton. Ws a lovely day with the girls. DS stayed home with DP cos he is on holidays. (DS wanted to ride motorbikes instead of play at the park)

DD has been great. No complaints here since i got DD her amber necklace. She's been fussy with food but only cos she wants to do everything. So things are messy messy messy here but i couldnt care. I saw these vute cups with a special opening so they can put their hands in but if it tips over it stops them falling out... (sarah H had one for her DD at the meet up.. excellent idea)

Appart from that nothing much here.

Sass- I have been making butterfly cakes as trials. Have a few designs. Very easy to cut out patterns also. YAY on Jayda's teeth too... Stil 6 here. Lots of dribbling and red cheeks but stil no sooking . Also with saying Dad Dad. DD also says it now at DP and when she wants his attention also. Stil hasnt said mum appart from the few times a while ago

NaNa- OMG sleep still not improving. Is he hungry when he wakes up or is it just for comfort???? COuld you maybe offer water in a bottle instead???

Sass - Aadi is in a single bed in our room now. He just wont tolerate going near the cot, and has the stamina to scream for hours if I put him in it. Not worth it. I know it probably seems WAY too early for him to be in a big bed on his own, but I wanted him out of our bed, and to still be able to lie down and feed him in his bed if I have to. Can't do that in a cot!

Sleep school finally rang today. Lets just say that I'm devastated and utterly disgusted by the complete lack of empathy they had for me, and I feel really stupid for crying on the phone asking this woman to please try and find something before JULY or I'm going to lose it. Nup. Nothing. "Have you tried asking your GP? MCHN?" she says... duh. I give up. Today's been revolting, and I'm sick of being screamed at. If this is how bad it is now, he's going to be in juvie by the time he's 3!! :rofl: Seriously, nobody gives a stuff and DP can't even get takeaway for dinner and expects me to cook. ha. Going to bed without dinner.

Oh NaNa- Hugs hun. Wish i could help out. U really need to get some help but i see your frustrations when no one can or is willing to help. Have you considered thickening up the BM with the thickner Offer water when he wakes?? I know its hard when your already sleep deprived. I really feel for you,. Tell DP to take the day off work so u can catch up on some sleep.

i wanna put jayda in a bed around her birthday but it think she would fall out cause she always stands up in the cot and jumps around when she wakes up.
