Abb- i miss it terribly. It seems that DD never wants to sit with me anymore. All she wants is to push me away and get on the floor. I'm glad the puter is still under warranty so there replacing it free of charge but it still doesnt replace all my stuff on it. It sucks.
Girl _ congrats on your results. Hope your DD gets better. HAve you tried a vapouriser??? They work well.
LMK_ Jordan walked at 10 months also and i copped cr_p for that too... Thats why i love BB so much great advice and not just people who think... "my child isnt doing that so it must be wrong" YAY on DD standing up by herself.
GTG DD just fell over again

How come everyone (ie, Mis-Tree, Jess, Nana, and Abbie) has awesome avators?
-
GIRL- We have been upgraded to a Platinum membership. Some of us (NaNa, Mis and I) received a Random Act Of Kindness (someone picked us to upgrade) And Abbie was a giver she upgraded and picked someone to upgrade. If you go to your profile there is an option for Paid subscriptions where you can buy a yr subscription for yourself or a friend. An Avatar is a bonus...
I waited all day popping on and off to see mine Avatar. Pitty i dont really look like that hey... Now you can all think I'm a Yummy Mummy... LOL...
Well DD is only just waking up now... We had 1 wake up last night and i gave her a bottle and she went straight back to sleep. She has been so much better now the formula issue has settled down.
Tracy- My MCHN suggested prune juice also. she seems to be ok- was a bit runny yesterday so its hard to get that ballance. And its alays dioreah on my cloth nappies. Never when she is in a sposie... Oh well...
All you clothie bums out there would be proud. I went to a baby shower and everyone was telling the girl to go sposies. Nearly everyone brought sposies for her. She mentioned to them that i was doing cloth and sposies when i go out. They were like oh its too hard and all of the older women were agreeing with me saying its not hard. I was surprised at so many people not even thinking about going cloth. Once i told them about the poop in the loo not the bin there was a huge argument until i proved it by showing them on the box of nappies. None of them knew that your supposed to put the poop in the loo.
-
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH so angry i just wrote out a huge post with huge personals and jayda came up and pressed a button while the lap top was on my lap. so ill start again...............
jess: i dont think i know anyone that puts poo out of nappies in the toilet, i know i never have. I didnt know to for a long time then once i found out i didnt change *naughty naughty*. when u said u and a few others were chosen for a aviator does that mean someone else paid for u. good to hear the formula issue has settled down. another thing i was told that if bub is gettin constipated badly from formulas that the gold range is the worst to use cause it has heaps more iron in it. jayda never wants to be with me either she always wants to be crawling around or up standing at things but as soon as Dh gets home she is all over him and when MA comes up stairs she follows her around everywhere.
mis: i hear ya on the sleeping. last week jayda was only sleeping 10min of a day if i was lucky and then waking ever hr of a night and sleeping with us most nights or she woudlnt sleep at all. i have got her back into a routine she is back to 2x30min sleeps. that is the best we can get her to have.
Abb: dont worry i have been lurking alot too. how is everything going?
girl: how is the studying going? how is DD goign in daycare? yes i do do family daycare at home.
sarah: how is bub going? i seen some pics of ur holiday on FB looks like u guys had fun.
bec:how did the hens night go? how did ur Dh survive having bub all night?
nana: sorry to hear bub is sick oh and the biting.
deancey: how r things going?
LMK: jayda is the same with food lol. oh and tantys r great rnt they just just does this pretend cry i tell her to stop it there r no tears so she gets no attention lol. yay on the standing up.
so we have had a bad weekend with jaydas gteeth but still nothign has come up. i got SIL to take her to the doc yesterday and he said it was jsut her teeth. she had temps of up to 39 all weekend and just very cranky and pulling her ear. i just wanted to get her checked otu cause we have been swimming alot latly and i thoguht there migh tof been a prob with her ears. jayda is walkign behind her walker thing now she powers up and down the hall way but as soon as we try to show someone she just sits down lol.
we put gates up on both entrances of our kitchen so this is her fav place to be now hanging off them and yelling even when no one is in there. she is walking along things and ont eh weekend she was just standing not holding anythign so i tried to show Dh and when i woudl stand her she woudl sit down really slowly. she likes making me look like a fool lol.
it was funny b4 i had jayda and i would see little girls with their hair up in like a little fountain on their heads i was always liek i am never do that if i have a girl but guess how she has been having her hair lol. it is long enough now and it is nice for it to be up some how.
we r going away for 2 weeks at the start of june but we dont knwo where we r going. we will go see Dh's nana on his dads side cause she has lung cancer, but DH doesnt wanna see his dad so i dunno how that is gonna go lol. also i dont know how i am gonna handle seeign his nana it is exactly wat my pop just went through last yr and even goign to hospitals really gets to me seens we were there like 24/7 for a month b4 he died.
well i better go get the kids some morning tea and give everyone else a chance to do a post or even just read through this lol.

Sassy,
Summer school went well. Uni started this week. So I am only taking two subjects. Yasmeenia will not be going to daycare anymore. I have decided to complete my degree and finish it this year instead of mid-year so I can look after her and not place her into childcare. Good luck with your family daycare, I personally couldn't do what you are doing. Keep up the great job.

Hi Girls
Aww i just seen my Avatar..... YAyyyyyy i love it...
Mis Tree- if i only looked half like my avvy i would be happy, very depressed with my weight atm, need to do something major, cant believe how tired i am getting now.
Jess - i wish i tried cloth now, but i suppose it is a little too late, my sister did like you cloth and sposies.
Sass - I use to put my dd's hair in a fountain too lol and i was same at bagging out others that did it. Everything is good here thanks, teething again and another runny snotty nose to go with it.
Not alot to report here.. Have no work this week so i have been concentrating on getting this house in order, i have only really done the basics since Hamish was born but last few days i have got into cleaning out cupboards etc, going through the garage getting a pile ready for the tip and tidying up backyard. Hamish is loving it, playing with all sorts of things i bring out, he is exhausted from all the hype, follows me from room to room its so cute.
-
Abb Looking Good... Loving the avatar... We have some yummy mummy avatars in our group... Look at my skinny curvy avatar... Woot./.. lol
Um I dont think its to late for cloth.... I mean i only have terry flats but it saves money and its just like washing towels i guess... Much nicer on DD's sensitive skin.
I need some motivation for my house. I need all new furniture. Maybe once i pay of our crdit card and few other things. (its always a one day for furniture for some reason... LOL... Its driving me insane. This house is so small i feel like no amount of cleaning is helping cos were so cluttered.
Tracy- I hope stanks feels better soon... Its aweful when there sick... HUGS to u both...
Sass-I wish DD's hair would grow... I'm dying to use all the clips and things... Such a nice change from gel and skikey mowhawks. With the poop in the loo. I never used to with DS cos i didnt know. I do if i can but with dioreah its not that easy. With the Random Act of Kindness i think it was if you pay for a subscription you get to pick someone to upgrade also... I think... Abbie would know how it worked... I only saw it after it happened and didnt think anything of it until i saw it under my name.
Well best be off... A friend of mine is due to call soon... An old friend and neighbour of 4 yrs has just found out she only has few months to live. She has cervical cancer last yr and now it has spread to her lung, liver and kidney . She is only about 30 and has a 5 yr old son... Very sad. Its been a bit of a wake up call for me. Making me put my life into perspective and i think (well have to speak with DP) but i think i might decide not to return to work. Lots of thinking to do here.
-
Jess so sorry to hear about your friend, i totally understand the reasessing of your life, i have been doing alot of that lately and i have decided not to go back full time this year and look at things again at the beginning of next year. Hopefully if Dp remains in his current position or can get another promotion we will be ok money wise, if not i will look into things then but so far so good. It is a bit of a worry with the economy especially with retrenchments etc, fingers crossed we will all be ok.
I am having one of those depressing mornings i am going to force myself to go for a walk, feel so gross lately and i just need to get my mind motivated. I have undone all the good work i did a few years ago losing weight and even maintaned it whilst pregnant by only putting on 5kg and now well i cant believe i have let it get this far. Anyhoo i hope everyone is well and bubs are behaving be back later.
-
ok is everyone sitting down cause u may pass out when i write this. jayda just slept for nearly 2 hrs
and she was perfect last ngiht. def think wat i am doign during the day is working.
the only thing that sucks is that jayda has her sleep between 10 and 11 then when she wakes up the kids r ready for their sleep then when they wake up jayda goes down for her arvo one lol.
-
hey there ladies,
soooooooooooooooooooooooooo bored. need sleep cant wait till tomorrow till i have a day off.
got aquarobic to night so i am gonna be stuffed after that seens i can hardly move at the mo.
where is everyone?
-
Sass - i am starting aqua aerobics tomorrow, Hamish has swimming lessons and there is a class before he starts so i am going to leave him in creche whilst i am doing the class and then collect him for his lesson, hopefully it works well and i will then go twice a week during the day and maybe once at night when dp is home.
-
i got once a week cause it works out well for Dh. the pool i go to doesnt have any child minding. then the rest of the week jayda and i go swimming after work. she loves it and it makes her so sleepy lol.
-
Sass - i have been taking Hamish to lessons twice a week now at the pool and we can go three times if we like, the fee is for how many times you wish. I haven't left him in creche before but i thought id see how he goes and it might motivated me to actually get off my big butt and do something. He also sleeps well after swimming, a few times he has slept for 3hrs, its amazing and so good for them.
Mis Tree i hope stanks is ok, what is causing the fever?
-
Oh Gosh you ladies make me feel lazy... I wish i was confident to go to the pools. I wish i had frineds closer to go to a class with but dont. And DP doing shift work and being honest he wouldnt watch the kids anyways. I'n a few weeks time i'm thinking bout adding an extra day for DS at daycare he's doing well with it and i think if he started 2 days as well as 1 day speech therapy that we might just see some improvement. i'm thinking mondays and fridays at preschool and wednesday we have speech (only 1/2 hour though.) Maybe i can organise something for myself then. Now the wether is cooling down a bit i might be more appealing for me to go for a walk.
DD has been going so good with her formula now. And food she is loving anything she can feed herself. I brought some of the Heinz baby pasta you can buy these little pouches of sauce (apricot chichen with chicken pieces, pumpkin and something, etc) You just cook the pasta and stir through the sauce. DD loved it. I put her on a plastic table cloth and she tipped out the plate and ate it off the table cloth. It was everywhere but she had so much fun and thought she was so clever to feed herself. (a bath was badly needed after)
We had trouble getting her to sleep and day sleeps are very difficult but i cant complain too much.
-
mis: yeah she has been doign longer sleeps during the day. she wakes up after about 30mins still but if i get in there really quick 3 or 4 pats and she is back to sleep. she is slowly getting longer b4 she wakes. how is the temp going this arvo.
abb: i joined at our pool so i think it was $185 for 6months. but it is usually $4.50 each time u go so i def get a better deal lol. and classes r $11 each.
jess: i was a bit like u going swimming but now i dont care once im in the water i think no one can see me lol. and i haide behind my towel and try to do the quick dash in and out.

Hi All,
Sorry I've been MIA for a few days, I've been reading but haven't had time to post. DH is still home...looking for work, so it's made it a little harder to use the computer as he seems to always be on it  - most of the time looking for work though...still  he finds something soon.
Abb, Jess, NaNa and MisTree - your avatars look great...so jealous - I want one. Oh well, maybe when we are both back in work.
Jess - Glad to hear you found a formula that seems to be agreeing with Tiahna. When we use formula that's the one we've always used - we've never had any problems. Good on you for standing up for the cloth bummed babies - wish I'd gone that way (I let too many people talk me out of it too, that it was "too hard"- also couldn't find anywhere to compare and buy in person instead of on the net). But I do right thing and put the poop in the loo - have done since they went solid. Sorry to hear about your friend...so sad. It does put your own life into perspective though...it's even got me thinking more...I was still tossing up whether to do parttime or full time, but parttime is definitely winning now.
Girl - :hooray: on the pass mark. That reminds me of me...I use to study last minute all the time at school, then seemed to always pass. How's Yasmeenia doing...feeling any better?
Nikki - LOL at your little food monster girl. Cam's getting like that too, especially if he sees DH eating a piece of cheese. Now that DH has been home during the day, we've been much more organised with dinner and now are eating while Cam's sitting in his hi-chair. He sits there watching us eat (he's usually already eaten about 1hr before though) and lets out little grunts for some.
Sassy - hope those teeth break through for you soon. LOL at the little fountain hair - you'll have to post a pic. I was one of those kids, though I had a fair bit of hair and from the photos I've seen I did look rather cute with it. Use to get lots of comments about it too (apparently). Sorry to hear about your DH's nana too. on the 2hr sleep...did she repeat it for you?
Abb - The hens night was great...only drank a small bottle of champagne then 2 bottles of wine  I stayed at mum's the night (she came to, was designated driver), got home about 1am, had a borocca and slept til 8am - with a set of baywatch boobs. Actually felt ok when I woke up though, not sick at all, just a little dizzy. I ended up coming back to my house by lunchtime - missed my little man big time. Apparently he was grumpy most of the morning, until I walked in...then he was happy and chatty...so he did miss me.
Mis - How's Stanks feeling - hope his feeling better. That's me with the terry towelling nappy - every time I've tried to put one on him it falls off - and he doesn't sit still long enough for me to play around (i can barely get a sposie on him in time without him turning over and trying to jump of the change table )
Well, Cam's doing ok. Has had a few little grumbly days though and dribbling like crazy. Think the next teeth are just around the corner. I think I can see little white dots on both sides up top, but he doesn't keep his mouth open long enough to have a proper look. He is crawling all over the house...particularly loving the kitchen. I have to try to find a way to block off the kitchen area though, as soooo scared of him touching the stove or me spilling hot stuff on him while cooking. We also have a doggy door which he has been watching our dog...i know he is starting to work out what it does  The gap between the lounge and kitchen/dining area though is about 2.8m - so it's hard to find something that'll reach that long...have to get creative I think. He is also standing on everything and even trying to climb up too (like with his knees). He is also letting go a few times and free standing between objects, for a few seconds.
How are your bubs talking going? Cam had said hello, boo and mum a few weeks ago, then stopped for the last few weeks til Monday, where he is trying to say words again. He still does not sound like he will say Dad anytime soon, but instead it sounds like he is saying Mark (DH's name). He has said it heaps and it is clearly Mark...probably cause I say it alot. Guess I'd better start saying Dad instead from now on.
I think that's about all that is new here. Ahh, think I can here Cam waking. Will try to arrange a new computer schedule with DH in future I think as this has taken about an hour to type (with trying to catch up and DH's constant interruptions :wall:).
Bye for now,
-
so after the complaining about jaydas sleep she has been doing really well this week. this morning she has puther self to sleep ont he floor while i was cleaning up so i have just left her there and she has been there for about a hr.
abb: i hope ya hubby finds a job soon.
jayda teeth r being strange. when i look in her mouth it looks like her top eye teeth would be the first ones. i know they wont but they seem to be the ones popping up the most. well i better get going i gotta go do some food shopping and get my glasses straightened. after 9months of being head butted and them being grabbed they r all wobbly and wonky
-
hey, I'm still around!
Had limited to no internet for a couple of days and it's been driving me a little bit mental. Not that I've had time to post anyways... Aadi is crazy. He just wont sleep. No, that's not true. He goes to sleep just fine, but wakes up every half hour for the first two hours, then screams for half an hour, then sleeps again for a bit, then wakes up and screams uncontrollably for up to an hour or more. Have spent the last few nights from 2.30am onwards sitting in the loungeroom with a screaming, kicking, inconsolable little monster in my arms... it's stupid. If DP gets up and speaks to me, he stops crying for as long as we're talking. Then he starts up again. Eventually he gets exhausted and will lie down with me, but will only feed back to sleep, despite every attempt to break that habit. We've tried everything to no avail, and we're just exhausted and fed up. I would have thought by now that he would have gotten back into a better sleep pattern, but we're still going backwards. We're off the the Dr on Monday to get another referral to a paed or something because they keep bumping our paed appointment back. It's in April now. I'm reluctant to go to sleep school because I know they're just going to tell me what I already know (I've read all the books... I've talked to everybody). There HAS to be something else wrong. It used to be wind causing his problems, or so I thought, but now I'm not so sure.
Aside from all that nonsense, he's happy and playful during the day. Perfect example of split personality!! He's cruising around the furniture and getting into everything. Still commando crawling, but he's so fast. He will crawl properly on his hands and knees, but only in the bathtub!! He also stands up by himself now. I spend most of my day chasing him and putting him back with his toys. But I can't close the doors in our house, they're all stupid sliding doors!! Stupidest thing ever. He can open them so easily, and I can't put latches on them. He got into the vegie basket the other day and ate a piece of garlic. Geez it stunk!! And he always races for the laundry and pulls all our shoes off the shoe rack there. He LOVES eating shoes. Gross.
Anyways, I'm sorry I dont have time for personals today... I'm knackered and need to eat breakfast now. Oh yeah, I know, it's midday...
