girl: yay for the cows milk.
Mis: OMG 6yrs that seems like so long. sorry i just skimmed through the treads so i dont knwo if u said it but wat course is it.
jayda is a bit better. i am loving all the sleep she is having. well it is during the day and not night but at night she only wants daddy so i am loving that lol.
this mornign she woke with a rash took her to the hosp and the waiting room was packed so i left and rang the health line thing and they said it was just a non allergic reaction. It was so good she asked me more stuff then the hosp ever does. I think it is so good they have a service like this so the non serious things rnt blocking up the hospitals.
we were the first one on wed night and we still had to wait 6hrs so there was no way i was waiting forever today. it isnt bothering her i just wasnt sure about it.
Happy birthday abbie i hope everything goes well LMK with the IL's. you could always accidently give them food poisoning lol.
can we get a list of who's birthdays a when i am so out of it at hte mo.
Jayda- 19th (tuesday)
I so cant believe this time last year we had members of our bellybuddies group already had babies or close to it... I feel like its gone so fast... I feel that all of you have become real friends... (wish we were all closer to each other... ) Or at least or kids... lol)
Well few of our bubs have celebrated their Big days... Klee's bub, Jodi's bub, Shazza's Bub, Sarah H's bub. (i am sure there is more but i lost my list when the puter crashed.
So to all the May Bubs...

Jayda is tomorrow who is next i lost my list... will try to find all the DOB's so i know as they come... felt bad when i missed a few or didnt see til i saw on FB...
Everyones bubs look so much older due to the hair factor... DD has less now then she did at birth... Waaaaaa.... but she was growing a patch on top and it was long but wasnt growing anywhere else and i had to come it over the front... so i sniped it off... looks all the same length now... which is .... short... like a clipper cut... :( i just want her hair to grow... she is walking round everywhere laughing playing trying to talk etc... she is a big girl except she is bald... lol.
Some of the bubs got some great pressies... DP and i looked today cos i still havent seen anything i can say for sure DD will play with... i have the fischer price pram but wasnt sue if she would use it... i saw a cute rocking unicorn... lol too cute but again not sure if she would use it... This age is so hard...
How is everyone else going...
Happy birthday to everyone's bubs that I've missed already, and happy birthing day to all you lovely mamas!!
Mis - congrats on your course! That will be fantastic! WIsh you the very best for that.
Sassy - How's Jayda doing now? I hope she's ok for her big BIRTHDAY tomorrow! I'm going to check out the pics in a minute.
Jess - Tiahna looks just sooooo adorable toddling around with that pink fluffy toosh! IKWYM about finding toys and things that they're likely to actually play with... so hard. So I just got more clothes and fluffy mail! I have to get a gift for a little girl at playgroup (we're having a combined party next week) and I just don't know where to start. She's only just started crawling and is so... um... docile and placid compared to Aadi. Actually, most kids are, but her in particular!
We went to a friend's son's 1st birthday party yesterday, and it was huge! A bit overwhelming for me, let alone Aadi, who was into everything and being a hyper little monster... but afterwards he slept 9 hours straight, then cried for a bit, resettled by himself, and slept in his cot for another 3 and a half hours until 7:30!!! oh, bliss...
My mum arrived last night, and we were out early this morning catching up with a friend in the city, and Aadi went off to sleep after a BF at the cafe we were at. He then slept in the pram for 2 hours!! We went shopping in relative peace, and I actually got to try things on. Nothing fits, but still... He's been a real grump this afternoon coz he was a bit constipated, then after finally going potty, his tummy must have been sore still, coz he cried and cried but finally fell off to sleep in my arms. I have to wake him up soon, since it's dinner time and our routine is all that's been keeping us sane lately. Especially since Aadi didn't sleep more than half an hour at a time on Friday night. He just screamed and cried all night. urghhh...
OK, I wont be around much this week, as I'm making the most of the time I have my mum here to babysit, and I need to get so much done before we go away. I can't believe it's Aadi's birthday on Friday, and a week later we're off overseas! I have had the hideous realisation that I have to get my jelly belly and moon-tanned pancake butt into a swimsuit, and that's just wrong. It's winter here, dontcha know?? I turn into a gothling as soon as it gets below 20 degrees! aaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhhh!!!!
Abbie had a great day yesterday, we had a little party for her with her cousin's and a few little friends. We had sooooo much pink stuff it was great. She got heaps of presents and was very spoilt.
Happy Birthday to all the bubs, and i hope all the parties and special days are wonderful.
Abbie is just about walking, she spent all day walking yesterday.
Sorry gottat run BBL for personals
Nikki
Hi All,
Sassy - I had a look at your pics - is that car thing what she got for her birthday?
Nikki- Also had a look at your pics (obviously due to the couple of comments). How'd the IL's go?
Mis - Good luck with the study.
Jess - Just think how much you are saving from visiting hair dressers with Tiahna ;)- one of my mothers group friends has had to take her 1year old to have hair cuts every few months from when he was 1month....imagine those $$$ you would've wasted on haircuts...now those $ can go to more important things like fluff
Girl - Woohoo finishing your last assignment and yay on Yasmeenia's good sleeping.
NaNa - Yay on Aadi's good couple of sleeps he gave you (shame on the rest of it though). Do you find he is 'behaving' himself more when your Mum's around (I find Cam is a little like this with my Mum, mainly around dressing time - where he squirms and cries for me - and is quite the opposite with her ). Hope you can get some rest in while she is here so you can be well rested for you trip.
Abbie - How you going with your busy May month?
AFM - All going ok here. We are almost organised for Cam's birthday. We bought him a trike (exactly like what Nikki got her Abbie, except green) - DH insisted on assembling it yesterday as he didn't want to be wasting time on his birthday putting it together - so I will just have to wrap up the box now I think. I'll have to keep a close eye on DH though, as I can see him trying to sneak Cam a ride on it before his birthday (29th May). I've also almost got the party stuff ready, as we will be keeping it simple. We are just going to a local park (hope weather is ok though ) on the Saturday after his birthday and just have easy to make finger foods (as I have to work the day before - I won't have to much time to organise). I think I've decided to copy your idea Nikki (I had considered it, you've just cemented the idea for me) - of doing the cupcakes in the shape of a 1 - cause my practise cake the other week was a major flop
Cam is going well, except for the gastro thing he had last week. I kept him home from kindy Thursday and Friday, as he was still exploding both ends. He was still a happy boy considering though, just very tired and cuddly. He seems to be better now, though we've had a couple of wake ups over the last 2 nights, which is not like him - so now back to wondering if teeth are moving again (still only 6 though).
He is getting more game standing now, is quite often letting go and free standing for 10-15seconds. He has attempted a couple of times to stand up unassisted, but only gets past 1 knee up. And is also doing this hard to explain crawl, usually when he has something in his hand (but sometimes not hodling something) - its kind of a 1 knee and the other foot shuffle, then uses the spare hand to lean on. So figure we probably ain't too far away from a first step.
Thank you for the milk advise. I ended up buying another formula on the weekend (it was on special again anyway), as with Cam being sick, I didn't want to stir things too much. So as of tomorrow I think I'll start to try to introduce cows milk instead of formula at the lunch milk. We have been doing cows milk in his cereal from 7months old and he's also had a couple of other sips of cows milk before, so hopefully it'll go ok.
What are you's putting your bubs to sleep in?
Cam's not one to keep sheets or blankets on - kicks them off by the time I get to his door. Up until tonight - we've been putting Cam in some tracksuit type button-up PJ's, then putting the oil heater on low (his room was down to 13degrees by 2am without it). Tonight he is in one of those 'Grobags' (for 16-20degrees) with his PJ's, no heater. I'm wondering how he'll go, as he tends to like to move around usually and the Grobag might restrict him a little - guess we'll see. I already heard a little stir a moment ago, but didn't have to attend to him, so :crossfingers: he sleeps ok in it, cause I think its a freat idea.
Well that's all from me. Might finally call it a night. DH said he should be home by 11, so thought I'd wait up for him, but seems he is a little later then expected (might be due to the heavy rain we have here at the moment - I could barely see the road on the way home from work tonight).
Bye for now,
Bec- I use the sleeping bag things for T but she hates the ristriction also... as soon as she starts to wake she gets cranky and screams. I'm thinking bout buying the larger size ones for extra room... I also have a blankie in there JIC plus she likes to put her face on the soft blanky... lol.
Finally got tese cool cups i saw Sarah H have with Juliette... its a 2 handle cup with a special lid to keep food in but they can put their hands in and get stuff... Tiahna loves them... (pack of 3 from toysrus $10)
Well This day last yr i was due with Miss T... :(
Happy Birthday Jayda
Hi again,
Just updating with regards to the sleeping bag... it seemed to be ok last night. Cam didn't stir again, except for the usual 5.45-6am thing - which as it was still very dark outside - I managed to convince him to go back to sleep - and ended up sleeping til 7.30am . And he felt nice and cosy, but not to hot in it this morning.
Jess - My mum actually got this one for me, and she got a size 1 - so it is probably a tad big for him especially as he is a smaller bub anyway, but still fits ok around his neck area (eg won't strangle). He seems to have a little bit of leg movement. I was expecting him to twist the bottom up a little and kinda trip when he tried to stand, but so far he hasn't had that problem :crossfingers:
This time last year I was on my second day of maternity leave and still thought I had at least 4 weeks to go,.
Sassy - :happybirthday: to Jayda
Bye for now,
ok i really think i am a thread killer. when i come in everyday no one seems to be in here and now that i havnt been in for a few days i have so much to catch up on lol.
so here goes i knwo i will forget heaps
sleeping: jayda either has sleeping bag or blankets depending on the weather. she doesnt mind either. i have a size 2 sleeping bag at the mo so sh ehas extra room.
nana: woo hoo on the sleeping. was this a once off after the party or is he starting to get into a good routine latly? we go away soon too cant wait.
thanks for all the birthday wishes.
bec: jayda didnt get that car for her bday it was just one from mums place she loves it so much, i was gonna get her one for chrissy but we wont have much cement here so i dont think i will. good luck on stopping DH from puttin cam on the bike. DH was the same when we got jayda hers for chrissy she had been on it about 6 times b4 chrissy lol.
lmk: glad the party went good. did u take any pics of all the pink. i forgot to take a pic of my food spread lol.
jayda is all better now. DH took her to the doc yesterday for a check up and she said everythign was good but wanted us to get some ear drops to get rid of wax in her ear. when i went to get the ones she told DH to get the chemist woudlnt let me take them told me that a bub that age can not use them that it will hurt their ears even more. STOOPID doctor lol.
Hi ladies
Happy Birthday Jayda, I hope that she has a Wonderful day.
Sassy NO i forgot to take a photo of the food, but i took heaps of other photo's they are on facebook if you want to have a look:-) you are not a thread killer believe me, i find that this place a spurts, sometimes people post heaps and other times its really slow, nothing personal to anyone :-)
Bec i think i am as bad as your DH LOL i put abbie in for one turn before her birthday, i just could not help my self:-) I hope cam enjoys his bike, i know that abbie LOVES her's.
Nana yeah fr you getting a bit of a break while your mum is there!!!
I don't use sleeping bag for abbie, i did for the boys but they were younger then her when it was winter so it was a bit easier to put on them before they go to sleep. I just put an all in one on her and then something over the top like winter pj's or i have a pair of pj's that are like a tracksuit with feet in them. Abbie does not like blankets either but either do my boys grrrrrrrrrrrrrr they wake up cold and there is nothing i can do about it.
Abbie is walking heaps and heaps now won't be long and she won't be crawling anymore !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh il's were ok at abbie's birthday, they don't really talk to me much but that is fine with me. I invited a friend of ours over anyway so i had someone to talk to LOL!!! Dh mum annoys me she could not even say good bye to me when she left, atleast i am not that rude:-)
Have a great day
Nikki
Nikki- Abbie is GORGEOUS... i honeslty am so jealous of everyone bubs hair... :( Why on Why wont hers grow... :( how do i get it to grow more???
DD is now almost running... she is just learning too fast... she is loving chasing DS around. she hardly ever crawls now... :( there is no stopping her... i bet i will have another one like DS... will hate the pram and need to walk then will be a runner... :hide:
Jess don't worry Tiahna will have the most beautiful hair of everyone's bubs soon. I think tiahna is gorgeous as well, i do remember though when abbie was born she had no hair as well and when it got to the stage of looking messy if i didn't brush or comb it actually grew faster cause i was brushing it everyday. Not too sure if you brush or comb tiahna's hair but if you are not then maybe its worth a try. I would be the same though if abbie had no hair as well LOL.
I will send the hair fairy your way!!!!!
You will be right just don't give into her make her sit in the pram now, its the only way to keep them in there. I know what you mean though abbie does somethings that lachlan does and i think ARGH not another one LOL
Talk soon
Nikki
Jess - I was going to suggest a similar thing to Nikki...that maybe do some massaging (like when washing it - I usually do this to Cam) and brushing it (even though theres not much to brush)- I think I remember learning that it helps stimulate hair follicles (wanted to be a hair dresser once upon a time- only got to 8 weeks of TAFE and decided I didn't like perming and setting....I just wanted to cut and colour ... - theres a little bit of boring trivia about me, lol)
Hi everyone i have been lurking but done get around to posting.
Sorry no time for personals but wantes to say Happy Birthday to all the bubba's so far and Mis Tree Happy Birthday .
Things are ok here, a bit up and down but that is too be expected. We travelled to visit Sil but was unable to see her as she had a bad night and was only seeing her parents and husband but we understood and just wanted them to know we were thinking of them all. Good news is she has full movement from waist up and no brain damage but i guess that is no consolation really. Then Dp's grandfather had a turn last night so more bad news. Feel a bit sad for Dp at moment he seems to not get a break. ANyhoo enough of the sadness. We are having Hamish' party on Saturday, hopefully the weather holds out as we are having about 20 kids and 15 or so adults, big day. I am looking forward to it, i have not done any preparation as yet but will definetley get onto it tomorrow.
Hamish is walking all the time now but seems to stop and start alot, he walks with his legs far apart which looks a bit unusual. He is so clever now, repeats almost everything we say now, have to watch out p's and q's..lol He has started copying me yell at Maddi in the mornings to get out off bed, he says"up Mad" and giggles its very cute. Ok i best be off and get some washing in. Hope everyone is well and i will try get back in here more.
where is my post............................
ok i feel quiet rejected my posts keep running away.
jayda was walkin heaps b4 she got the ear infection then got all wobbly now she is gettin back into it again. oh adn she is startin to copy aswell. this morning i said naughty nanny and she said it i was like WTF cause she never says more then 1 of her usual word. oh and bum lol.
i had one of the kids yesterday say bum all day dunno y, but yeah jayda picked it up. atleast it is better then my nephew everytime he comes he lifts his shirt and says boobies and wont put it down till u touch them lol.
omg we leave for our holiday next sunday i am so excited my first time on a plane. Only 5 more working days to go.
Happy birthday to Aadi for yesterday and Happy birthday to Tracy and Sam's boys Stanks and Hayden on their 1st birthdays today...
Loving all of these Birthday pics on ur FB profile...
Abb hope that Hamish enjoys his party this weekend... ( tracy is Stanks having a party today... ??)
Things r going well here except formula issues again... Karicare changed their formula and now its giving Miss T dioreah... Grrr... now i am off to find older tins...
jess: can u start her on cows milk and just not use formula.
Happy birthday Stanks.
not much to say here. jayda is walkin heaps now. and eating heaps when we dont want her too. i left a packet of biscuits on the lounge b4 for DH and his friend and jayda ate 2 of them and was so proud she ate them, then half a sandwich, nearly 100mls of water and a yog.
I have little walking eating machine too Dan... LOL. always out in the kitchen smacking her lips which means she is hungry. She wont eat anything i have to feed her so its maily things she can feed herself but she is getting SOOO fussy. She never wants to sit in the high chair anymore, she never sits down at all... all she does is toddle round the house going into each room (our house is very small so not much place to walk. If it was warmer outside i would start letting her walk up and down the path with me. lol.
Have tried her on cows milk but it makes her reflux play up again. we either get vommiting, dioreah or constipation... we can never get just normal with her...anyone use the A2 Milk????
Hi everyone
Gee it is quite in this thread atm. I have not been on here much but noticed there are lot of girls leaving, bit of controversy going on?
Hamish's party went of great although he ended up getting a bit sick later in the afternoon he had a good time. He loves his car, Dp talked me into letting him get it early so the kids could all have a go at his party. So on his birthday he will only get a few little things. We are heading away this weekend for my mums 60th with all my family, i cant wait it will be great. Hamish is walking all the time but stops and starts alot so i wouldnt officially call it walking as he still crawls too. He has 9 teeth now and 2 more just about through, has not been too bad with the last few. He is still on formula other than cows milk in cereal and sometimes in a sippy cup for lunch but he is not that keen on it so not sure how i will go about changing him over. The health centre said not to water it down or add a bit to formula etc just give it to him as it is but he is not that fussed on it.
Mis Tree - i see your xp is up to his old tricks again, they never learn do they? My exh still tries to play games with us and its been 10 years, sorry i hope your xp is still not being a pratt in 10 years.
NaNa am i dreaming or did i read you are packing?
Jess - Hamish was like that with eating but last few weeks he is settling down, now says no and shakes his head if he doesnt want anymore food.
Hi BEc, Nikki, Deancey,GIrl, Sass and anyone i have missed, must get in shower before monster boy wakes.
Hi ladies
Abb i LOVE his car it is sooooooooooooooo cute!!!!
Abbie is having tantrums now, its so funny, no not really little rat bag!!! Abbie has 5 teeth and 3 new ones have just cracked through and about another 4 are just about there. I knew that they would all come at once poor little thing. She is also walking everywhere now only crawls when she is tired and falls down. I put her fairy dress onher yesterday, i bought it ages ago but she has hardly worn it. When she first wore it it came down to her ankles and now its like a mini skirt on her LOL!! Its amazing how much she had grown.
It really spins me out that when lachlan was abbie's age i was already 13 weeks pregnant with abbie!!!!!!!! So is anyone thinking of having anymore soon?? I am definitly not having anymore three is plenty for me:-)
There are alot of people leaving on here, been super quiet in here i hope that no was has been annoyed by anyone else in here, i hope i have not annoyed anyone.
Mis i hope that stanks is feeling better:-)
jess i hope that you find some formula that miss T can drink, abbie is on to her last probably 3 bottles of formula, i have been giving her cows milk every second bottle and she seem to not even notice:-) Have you tried soy or goats milk??? i know my neice had to have goats milk cause she was lactose intollerant (sp) sorry.
Sassy jayda is so cute, how many teeth does she have now, if i remember correctly( probably not shocking memory) she does not have many either compared to some babies in here. sorry if its not her probably someone else lol
anyway take care talk soon
Nikki
Nikki - i love his car too and it was a bargain $70 on ebay (new). Dp was super excited when he gave it to him and although hamish is a bit small he loves it and when he is bigger he can drive it himself. Hamish also chucks tantrums is having one right now as i am on here and not playing with him..As for having anymore we probably will, all going well will try around christmas time.
WOW that is a bargin, i don't htink that he is too small its perfect cause he will get more use out of it. Talking about ebay, i will probably jinx myself but i am bidding on a pink and purple kids timber kitchen set, it is sooooooooooooooooooo cute, i hope that i win it finish's tonight wish me luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
woo hoo for ttc at christmas!!!!
Nikki
LMK: yeah its jayda that doesnt have many teeth. she has 6 now. 4 on top nad 2 on the bottom. i think another one is ready soon cause sh ehas been a sook lol.
well now that bubs birthdya is over i am now thinkin of christmas hahahahahahha. i wanted to get her a electric car that has a parent control but we dont have much cement she can drive it on. or a climbing frame thing but it will have to go out the back, but you cant see her and there is no shade. everythign i think of has a down side :(
:hello:
Well i brought some A2 milk and SURPRISE... :leap: She drinks it and we havent had any throwing up... YAY... Poops r still runny though so might have to try to get her to eat food that kinda bind u up. lol. (not good for cloth bumz... LOL. but were managing ok.)
She has been super happy but also SUPER sooky... I finally did it... (not sure if i mentioned already but i had DD's hair clipped... LOL. (not that there was much there to clip... She was growing a small tuft in the top of her head (right about where a man goes bald 1st... LOL) it was like a comb over so i took her to my hair dresser friend who ran the clippers over it to neaten it up and hopefully help it grow... Its been a week and already we can see it growing... (not much but it has definatley grown a little... But she is a super cute baldy lol.
Abb- LOVE hamish's Car... And what a bargin.
4 days and counting til Miss T's B'day. Still have NOTHING here for her... Money has been SOOO tight with DP off sick all the bills coming in at once. I never usually leave things till this late but Well not much choice... I have 2 laybys with bout $100 owing on them luckily payday is thursday and not Friday...
Hiya!
Just a quick one from me, I am soooo busy! Had my mum here for a week, and although it was nice to see her, she wasn't that much help... First couple of days she was a mess because two close friends of hers died suddenly (separate incidents, not related) but after that she calmed down a bit and I managed to get a few extra things done while she watched Aadi. Like renew my passport! Argh! DP was furious at me for leaving it so late, since it's only ready to be picked up today!! Cutting it a bit fine, hey? It was still valid till December, but I don't need a repeat performance of the interrogation I got at Beirut airport last time. OMG... men with machine guns, not cool!
We just had a quiet day on Aadi's birthday. We have a combined party at playgroup today, so I'd better hurry up and get organised! I am almost finished packing our suitcases and have a pile of lists slowly diminishing. There will be plenty of attention and big family gatherings in a week or two, so we wont overdo it now.
Aadi is still not sleeping very well, waking after an hour or 2 at night, but after an hour or so of yelling and tantrums he goes back to sleep on his own (there's a lot of ignoring going on!). He's waking again between 2-5 and yelling some more, and that's when DP brings him in to me for a cuddle and a feed and he goes back to sleep till 7-7.30. It's going to be hard work breaking this habit, but it's still an improvement on waking every hour or 2. Hoping that the trip and major time differences will knock him into a brilliant routine and it will all be ok.
Also, Aadi still has only 6 teeth. There might be more coming, since he's pooping fire thru the night again (TMI!!) and sooking a bit more than usual. And he's still not that keen to let go of things when cruising around the furniture. Once he starts putting his heels down more, he will be better able to walk independently, I think. No doubt he will start walking on the plane or something. Same with teething and getting molars or something. Bound to happen somewhere unusual or inconvenient!
No cows milk or dairy products here at all. Still 4 BF a day...
OK, I have to fly. I'll try to pop back later for personals and catch up before we leave.
lmk: i seen a pic on fb of the kitchen it looks great.
abb: i think we will start ttc at chrissy aswell. but liek i keep sayin need to loose weight first lol. i woke up feeling crap this morning so i am tryin hard today.
Jess: dont stress too much if you dont get her somethign in time, she wont notice at this age. Good to hear the milk is going well.
Mis: how did the party go?
Bec: how r u going hun?
Nana: you havnt left yet have you?
well i got all our packing done over the weekend. i only got 2.5 working days to go then i am on holidays. i hope jayda doesnt get sick while we r away. i have packed heaps of warm clothes for her. we have 2 suit cases and all her stuff nearly fills one and DH and I share the other one lol.
I am really regrettin taking 2 weeks hol. i dont get paid and DH doesnt get paid till we get back. we have no money at the mo we will be redrawing the extra money we have paid towards the loan. DH just jumps straight into things i tried puttin it off but he was like nah we will be right. i just hope nothign comes up or he doesnt buy any more useless stuff.
Good morning ladies,
Happy birthday to all the babies. I haven't done anything special for DD. I am too busy with exam preparation and also no close family or friends. It's amazing - our babies have turned one. For the past 2-3 weeks DD has being crawling everywhere. Now she is preparing herself for walking.
Yesterday I had my implanon removed. DH and I have discussed having another baby. I am a little scared to become pregnant again but the whole experience again would be wonderful and fanastic. Ideally, I would like to get pregnant after graduation and have found a job however since I have removed my implanon I am ready. I just hope it's a boy this time because I already have a girl :D
Next week Wednesday is my first exam and I am super excited. A lot excited knowing the semester is coming to an end. Super super happy because I know I will not fail my exams. I know too ****y for my own good! I hope all the mothers and bubs had a wonderful first birthday with their babies. Yasmeenia will be having some fun once my sister/s come down in July.
well this will be my last post for a week. we leave tomorrow.
Mis: so did u get ur implanon out so you could try or for another reason. dont have to answer if it is too personal.
how is everyone else going. have we all had our birthdays yet?
jayda is doing well she has her needles yesterday and she went great with them. she is 10.1kgs now and 80cm tall.
.........................dunno wat else to write y is it so quiet??????????????
Hi Sassy,
I am a little confused . Are you talking to me or Mis about the implanon removal and why? You said 'Mis' and not 'Girl'. If you meant me, it's not a personal question. I am happy to answer it. DH and I have spoke about having another baby. He would rather that TTC after my graduation. In the beginning I wanted to TTC for a baby #2 within 3-4 months after getting a graduate position or a job somewhere in my field. But since I have had the implanon removed I guess I am ready. Does anyone know where Sassy will be holidaying? Because she won't be back for another week before my question is answered.
Hi All,
I'm thinking its been quiet in here cause everyones probably been busy with 1st year birthdays and the parties. So Happy 1st Birthday's to those bubba's I might have missed (I think I covered most on facebook...sorry if I forgot anyone on there).
It also seems like a few of you's have gone on holidays (Girl- I think Sassy was off to Tasmania if I recall correctly) - not me though. Also I've had a little trouble logging on here lately with the site issues...always seems to be when I've had a few minutes spare to do some serious posting .
I think I will just do an all about us/me post today, so sorry for no personals - bit tired after a hard days work. It was really busy today at work - a few staff sick, plus customers kept coming out of the woodworks. I'm so glad I'm only part time though, I could just walk out at 4.15pm and say "see ya's on Thursday" (except for the heap of work I created for myself because of doing that:wall: oh well its nothing that can't wait).
Anyhoo....Cam is going well. He has got a little cold, which started last night, but he is still a happy little fella. DH looked after him today (instead of my mum), and when I got home - Cam was very cuddly with me when DH went to work (still does night shifts).
We had a great 1st birthday with him. From us he got a smart trike (a green one), and a Peter Alexander dressing gown (i'm not one for brand lables, but I'd been given a gift voucher at my baby shower last year and couldn't find anything for myself - so when I'd seen those - i thought how cute and that way it only cost me $15 - though its a size 2). From family and friends he got alot of toys as expected and a few clothes. The clothes are mainly a size 1 in winter things, and I think I might ask for the receipts to return them for smaller sizes, as Cam is still in the transition of going to a size 0, and I'm thinking by the time he is in 1's - it could be summer or even next winter. I'm not sure its worth holding onto size 1's in case they fit him next year, cause if he has a major growth spurt - it'll just be a waste of money....don't you think?
Anyway....We made some baby cupcakes for him to take to kindy on Friday, they loved it. He only had a half day there though, as DH used that free morning time to prepare for Cam's party on Saturday - like baking more blue iced baby cupcakes for the birthday cake - which we shaped into a 1 and put little pre-prepared letters that said HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMERON 2009. Then Friday night we did another little cheesecake to sing happy birthday with, and funnily enough it turned out when we were singing it - it was exactly 5.40pm - the time he was born (not planned that way). So feeling a little caked out now...glad there is no other birthdays in the family til mine in September.
Cam's party on Saturday was a great day. There was a few last minute RSVP's and declines, but other then that i feel it went pretty well (I really can't understand why some people...with no committments I mean, like no kids or job...can't tell you there plans...and there was 1 person who i only 1 month ago chucked up a little wobbly when they didn't get many rsvp's for their kids 1st birthday, i think i was 1 of a couple that had..grrr!). The day was nice too, the rain cloud stayed away til later that arvo and its kinda been raining on and off ever since, so we are lucky. DH had gone down to set up the party stuff in the morning, and not long after he'd set up, a group of people started to set up a jumping castle and band area just near our spot. At first I went into a panic...as I'd googled to make sure nothing was happening there that weekend. But it turned out to be a free church youth group thing, and actually worked out well for a couple of the older children to be able to go jump on the castle and dance with the music they played (wasn't too bad actually).
Oh, almost forgot. We had a little scare on Cam's birthday on Friday as well (some of you's would've seen on facebook anyway). It was in the arvo when Cam was home with DH (I was at work - got the phone call 10mins before I was due to finish), Cam was walking whilst holding onto the kitchen table and he slipped and knocked his mouth on the leg of the table. Blood poured out and DH was having trouble stopping the bleeding, as well as couldn't apply the pressure required whilst he drove to drs, so decided to call an ambulance (the station is only a street away, so really convienent). They came and as Cam was really upset, they couldn't see what damage was done, so they took them to the hospital. DH managed to stop the bleeding on the way there though and it turned out Cam had split that bit of skin between your gum and top lip. Apparently this has a good blood supplier, hence why it bleed so much. Cam was ok though, as they said that it was more the strange blood in his mouth sensation, rather then pain from the split. No pain relief or stitches required.
As for other updates...Cam's still only got 6 teeth (4 top, 2 bottom) - though there could be more on the way....all the signs are here again. He is not quite walking, but it is very close. He keeps letting go between furniture alot. He is going for his needles tomorrow as long as he is healthy enough, this happen last time with cold and teeth issues, and we ended up delaying it a couple of weeks. As of yesterday he is solely on cows milk, I'd been doing just the 1 formula a day til the tin was empty. But I think thats about all thats happened here.
As for the TTC again question, we are trying naturally again now, but if it hasn't happened by end of this year, we will get a referral back to the fertility specialist for next year. So hopefully I'll be able to let you's know some good news soon :crossfingers:
Well I think I've rambled long enough now....plus Cam's just woken - having a little cough (aww poor sick bubba)....after his cough he does a little sigh, which just breaks ya heart.
Hope everyone is well.
Bye for now,

Yeah on those who are TTC!!!!!!!!!!!!! Goodluck:-)
Jess i think a nice quiet birthday would have been nice, abbie has that little pram that T got for her birthday its so cute isn't it!!!!!!!!!!
Abbie has four teeth up the top and four teeth down the bottom PLUS she has TWO MOLARS down the bottom, honestly she is crazy one day she only had four teeth and now she has 10. They all came at once and i can see another few coming as well pour little thing i think htat i would rather get them throughout a few months instead of all at once.
Girl good luck with TTC a boy, we TTC a girl with abbie and it worked we just went off timing really and positioning, so do your research and it should work no promises but its worth a try isnt it.
Bec sorry to hear about cam's little accident glad it wasn't anything too serious.
We are all sick here:wall: cody had vomitting yesterday, i feel like i have the flu aching everywhere headache diahria (sp) and abbie is all whingy. Oh i hope that i feel better soon so over it!

Well anyway now i am REALLY SAD as i have posted two post's in a row.
ANYONE???????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????
Nikki you crack me up..lol
I havent posted as i dont really have anything to update, i have been lurking though.
Hamish had his 12 month needles yesterday and he was very good, didnt budge for the first 2 but had a bit of a cry for the third one. He woke this morning with a bit of a cough grr just when i thought he was over his cold. Its just never ending at the moment. Dp and i have both had it and mine is gone, dp's still lingering. I was suppose to go the big BB meet up this weekend in Melbourne but Dp has some things he has to do for his brother at there place to get it ready to sell due to sil having her accident.
So it will be a quiet long weekend at home for me i think, although i watched opera today about decluttering so who knows i may get some motivation to organise this house.
Hamish is only having 1 bottle now at night (cows milk) and a sippy cup (approx 80ml) for breaky and lunch. I was not sure this is enough but mchn informs me it is fine if he is having plenty of other sources of iron. He has 9 teeth and 2 molars still nearly through, he is walking most of the time but the odd occasion he will crawl.
We had a great weekend away with my family last weekend, there was 10 adults and 10 children ageing from 14 to 1. Everyone had a great time including hamish who loved all the animals and playing with all his cousins.
Ok i think that is it for me, i hope everyone is well and all the 1 year olds (lol) are sleeping and behaving for there mummys.
I'm here, but not here, IYKWIM!! We're in Beirut, after surviving a 15 hour flight to Dubai relatively well. After a night in Dubai Aadi decided to crack it and turn into a difficult, tantrum-throwing, attention-seeking hyper-bebe and has been driving me insane ever since we got on the plane to Beirut... He's getting so much attention and he's been sick and snotty, so I guess it's sort of to be expected. But my SIL, who has a 2-year-old here as well, has offered to take us to see a great paediatrician tomorrow to get a different opinion on his behavioural issues, since we don't seem to get much useful from the "professionals" at home. He's really being challenging, and we're just so tired because he wont sleep. Every little thing is a huge drama with the most disgusting tantrums, screaming and kicking, and it's really quite embarrassing. He is also refusing to be held by me, and is crying for DP all the time. He has developed a great friendship with the maid here, tho, so that's giving me a couple of minutes to "relax" here and there, but DP and I are taking it in turns to nap with Aadi in order to catch up on some sleep and try to get over the jet lag. We're almost back to our normal routine as much as possible, but the tantrums at 2-4 in the morning are getting worse and it's not fair on everyone else in the house who is being woken up by his yelling! And I could do without the bruises from him belting me all the time. I'm hoping that when we get to Nice things will be a lot quieter, with a lot less chaos and noise and people, and we might get some relaxation. Lebanon is a crazy place, and I just cant get used to seeing army dudes with machine guns on every street corner. The tension is worse than normal because there's an election on Sunday, so hoping things dont get too out of hand because I dont particularly feel like being evacuated. I'm enjoying the food too much!!
Hope everyone is doing well. Haven't got time to re-read posts now. There's a plate of sweets with my name on it, and it's demanding I eat it NOW! Will try to get back on later if the power doesn't go out. Otherwise, net cafe in France maybe...
:hello:
Sorry i have been MIA from here...
DD had her immunisations and they went well... a few tears but ok within a few seconds... Very proud of her.
NaNa- I hear u on "professionals" here... Still awaiting for help for DS and he is almost 5... :( GL Hope things stay calm over there also.
Abb- Glad hamish's needles went well also... what brave bubbas we all have... (i would hate to get 3 needles a few seconds appart... :( WOW on the teeth... and DD is also on cows milk now... after more issues with formula my GP said to just switch now. i was using A2 milk but just brought the kids milk to try (added vitamins and she had 3 150 ml bottles from 4pm til bed time so i am happy to see her drinking again.
Her wee really smells though?? not sure why??
Dd is walking so well now... even walked round the shops with me today... (for bout 30 min) We picked up DS from DC and she played outside with the older kids and loved it... thinking of maybe trying 1 day to see how she goes. (but then think might be better for DS to have an extra day as DD doesnt really NEED it...
Nikki- Sorry u had to post twice. 2 forums anf FB keep me busy lately... LOL. Trying not to spend as much time on the puter aswell... (not working much) think i need to get into the working routine again. up early clean up go for a walk then come back and have the rest of the day to do what ever... (easier said then done. lol)
Hi everyone,
Apart from my relationship dramas, which is currently getting better actually much better, studying for my exams have kept me busy. DD is doing great almost walking but not there yet. She prefers to crawl and explore that way. However she is standing for a few seconds and freaks out when she realises it, Lol. Her 4th teeth is growing on the top and still has two teeth down the bottom. She is enjoying childcare but after next week Monday she will no longer be going. I have decided to postpone one of my exams and fake a sickie so she doesn't go to childcare anymore. As from Monday she will be permanently staying home with me until I get a job (after my graduation- that is). DH would like her to go to childcare sometimes so she can interact with other children and develop her social skills. But I am not too worried. I want my precious girl around me. She now has hair! Lol. A lot of it as well. DD will be having her 12 month immunisation next week Thursday since my exam is on Wednesday. I decided not to immunise her while I am studying in case she reacts to the immunisation. For example: crying too much, etc. I can't wait to have her weighed also. Enough from me.
NANA -
I am so jealous. There is a maid, you are holidaying and the food! Although it must be really scary seeing army people around with guns. How terrifying. How long will you be staying there? Going anywhere else? Oh you poor thing about DS. Cheeky little monkey. It must be embarrassing, I know that feeling. DD has recently started acting out but not as badly as your DS. I just hope you find answers when you visit the paediatrician. What has he/she said?
Jess -
How exciting that your DD is walking.
Abbie -
Sounds like you had a fanastic time with your family. Oh how I miss mine especially now since I am a mother. 9 teeth? Wow.
DD took her 1st steps at 10months 5 days. Now if u call her or she has something she runs in the opposite direction. I wish she was back to that less confident stage... :( I mean its lovely that she runs to me for cuddles but she is getting in to sooo much...
She now says yum yum for food now its very cute. She also LOVES the phone so much i had to give her an old mobile or she would scream the house down if i was using ours. She outs it to her ear and says "Hi dada " "a bubba, ah lalalala" (translation Hi dad, its bubba, i love you)
IS anyone else's bubs very clingy still... DD wont even let brad speak to her or pick her up these days. i cant be out of eye sight or she screams... Any tips for getting her to be less clingy??
Girl- I hear u on relationship dramas... DP and i have been fighting a bit... i think he's just stressed... add this to his neuralgia (nerve in his neck causing neck pain and extremly severe migranes through the left eye). I know its painful but he speaks to me like crap when in pain when i am only trying to help... I have no family around either which makes things hard.
